I was expecting If It's With You to be a typical fluffy high school bl that I could watch on the side and not obsess over, but it's making me feel things. It's cute and sweet as expected, but also has an air of melancholy. The leads have good chemistry and whatever the series is doing, it's working. Is it really only five episodes? 😭

Ryuji easily seeing through Amane's facade and comforting him was beautiful. Amane's happy and carefree demeanor hiding his fear of rejection is heartbreaking but also so relatable. It's rare for characters in jbls to communicate this clearly so soon and I am here for it.

I love Ryuji so much. Instead of finding Amane's embarrassment silly, he respected Amane's feelings and tried to make him comfortable.

MY HEART. 😭 Ryuji's simple "I'm here" is everything. Amane doesn't have to be alone anymore. 🥹

AHHHH. Is Ryuji the greenest green flag to ever live? He waited for Amane to wake up because he wanted to see his face. Ryuji doesn't make a big deal of it, he's happy and leaves. This is so sweet! Ryuji really is the best.
