I have been remaking Salem from RWBY, I made her originally in 2020 but I know I can do a better job of sewing now. I also decided to make the weird floating orb dude (I call him my Eldritch Gumball Machine).

The dress is still in process, but I absolutely zoomed through some crafting today

I bought a plastic lighting globe cover off of Amazon. I made a base out of EVA foam and used that to hide the battery for the lights that will go inside this. I bashed out a bunch foam spikes and random shapes. I’ll be covering these with foam clay later for texture

I made the hanging parts with more foam. I scrunched up some 1mm foam after heating it. For the tentacles, these are jewelry wire wrapped in 2mm foam. I’ll be covering these with foam clay later.

Here’s a video of the Eldritch Gumball Machine so far with the magnet attachment system being demonstrated. My crazy idea is actually working 😱

DIY- Arwen Butterfly Crown part 1.

Arwen- Lord of the Rings. Basic DIY for the base of the crown.

I printed out templates for Arwen's crown.

Crown Pattern (alleycatscratch.com)

Cut out the pattern pieces and I used EVA foam for the base of the crown. I simply cut out the pattern on the crown. Afterwards, I used a dremel and sandpaper on the foam before painting.

EVA foam-

I used hot glue to put the pieces together. I used mod podge as a base coat first before using acrylic paint. Let each layer dry for continuing.

First, I used a base of white acrylic paint on the inside and the outside of the crown.

Second, I simply mixed together black and white to get a light grey.

Third, I used a sponge (for painting) and added some white all over the crown. That is where I am right now for the Arwen butterfly crown.

so, after about 3 weeks and a failed version. the vessel mask has been printed!

we have small vessel mask and true to size vessel mask.

im way to lazy and i don’t have the patience(currently) to sand it so it’s going to have the lines in it till i get some sand paper.

it turned out really good and im so happy with how it turned out. i already took a Dremel to it to reshape something and to sand the support bumps (i did get plastic in my eye at one point).

i just need to sand (when i get some paper for it, and some patience) and paint. which im excited for.

i am going to use an evafoam head support (i dont know what its called but its like the criss crossed one) instead of a elastic bands because i dont fully trust those in the september heat.

i now just have to buy pants and maybe antlers and im done!!!

this is all i have for now, i am very very tired and im going to watch a slasher movie with my brother.

This lil cutie is one of two wigs I got to bring to life for Audrey (@china.brickey) in the @guthrietheater production of Little Shop of Horrors. It was an honor to put a little extra love in our leading lady. I love an excuse to flex my color skills in my wig creations at the G! This took several coats of paint to get the color just right, but it was SO WORTH IT! And Timekeeper Cookie's Ruler of the Ephemeral Flow hat is complete!(aside from gluing on the veil.)

I learned a lot while making and after making last year's original TK hat, and I'm really glad I can see the improvement! If I'm honest, the original one almost seems sad in comparison.

I used thicker foam, improved shapes, and in general stronger technique. I love how it came out! I had initially wanted to make the clock hands move periodically, driven by a servo, but that didn't work out, so instead I made it someehat spring loaded so that it will move when I move. Made with EVA foam, hot glue, and acrylic paints.

Life happened and Harpy Eda got pushed back but I took my old Zach Fischer Art Barbarian armor to Anime Weekend Atlanta and got an award?? I’m still absolutely shocked because competition is insane in Atlanta and I got myself stuck in Masters (highest skill level). I got to speak with the other winners, who were so nice, and we got to gush over crafting techniques so I am a very content, cozy post-con blanket burrito at the moment.

I had the time of my life being an absolute gremlin with my friends. I got to be an assistant for a friend’s photoshoot and discovered the fun of flipping hair and fabric for dramatic photos (literally so much fun, highly recommend doing this for a friend!). I also got great feedback and positive reviews for my new crafting panels. My next con is possibly Dream Hack Atlanta and I’m so excited to go back and see everyone in December. Even if I don’t get accepted into the contest, I’ll be going as a handler for some friends. I am physically exhausted but so inspired and mentally refreshed after a great weekend at a con.

Zanta Cosplay- Eddsworld

As Christmas is just around the corner, here's a Zanta costume made for this years MCM Comic Con. Zanta is a character from Eddsworld (Zombie Santa.) This costume was made along side an Edd costume.

The costume took a week to make and was made using a mix of EVA Foam, Foam clay, painting, and sealing.
