I never posted my completely finished Shepard armour here! I’ll share some photos as I get them, but I’m really proud whenever I see this cosplay in motion because I fuckin made that shit and it’s comfortable to wear and it moves perfectly holy shit I actually did it so here is a video!

I almost gave up several times but l’m glad I pushed through - I’m so grateful for the response to all this hard work both at Dragon Con and from everyone who followed along with this build online. I have a highlight on my insta stories (@ mockingnerd) that shows the progress as it went, and made a bunch of videos on TT @ livelaughlongsword.

i’ve been scared to post my cosplay stuff on here and i’m currently not comfortable showing my face on tumblr buuuut… here’s my V cosplay i wore recently :)

sadly the visor died at the convention while i was wearing it (plus i couldn’t see shit and i am already super nearsighted so that wouldn’t be a good idea)

Here is a little tutorial to make Shadowhearts shoulder pieces out of foam

Hope this helps someone out there looking for a lightweight way to make these without a 3d printer ^^

I used low density eva foam of 5mm (the black foam you can see here) and high density eva foam of 2mm.

I used contact cement as a glue for most of it, but also some hot glue here and there.

My completed Sister of Battle "mini" debuted with a base at DragonCon this year! My first armor and foam prop build - entirely self patterned and constructed. I have even more I want to add and upgrade with this, but I love this cosplay so much and can’t wait to wear her again. Keep an eye out @momocon for me!

Crocheted armor

Like whatever suits your fancy

But we should be casually wearing it

It's protective gear and extra padding

And in this world of hostile architecture we could use some extra padding

Also it looks cool
