Today marks the start of my favorite season: summer officially kicks off at 12:51 AM and lasts until September 23rd. The heat here in Skopje adds its own unique touch, as always.

The sun's path across the sky is truly something special—it rises in the northeast, reaches its peak in the south, and sets in the northwest.

Summer doesn't always begin on the same day; it can fall anywhere between June 20th and 22nd, depending on when the sun hits its highest point. This first day of summer tends to give us the most sunlight, with the sun's rays coming down at just the right angle.

Today is Friday, June 21, 2024, the 173rd day of the year. The sun rose at 4:58 AM and will set at 8:14 PM, giving us a lovely 916 minutes of daylight.

As a nod to the sun and all it brings each summer, I'm taking a moment to reflect on gratitude. This year, in 2024, I'm making a point to carry this appreciation into my daily life.

Tonight, it would be great to mark this special day with some meditation. Let's soak in the beginning of summer in our own way.

Klari.

Setelah 9 bulan tinggal di Klari yang clarity banget ini. Kesempatan buat balik Bandung akhirnya dateng juga.

Sedih banget harus ninggalin klari, walahar, kosambi, 57, dan segala macem drama panas, matahari ada 3, polusi, megatron segede apaan ngebut dijalan, bis jemputan karyawan PT, preman opang pengkolan, nyebrang macem uji nyali, nasi kuning aa cepet spek speedity bangun candi, kosan arsitektur vintage yang temboknya setipis tisu (lu berdehem aja tetangga lu denger), meromantisasi jalan kaki tiap masuk pagi, tapi boro-boro romantis kalo masuk closing berasa lagi di panggang, jemur baju 3 jam kering padahal gak pake pengering, drama ketinggalan kereta lokal cikarang-karawang, kekeretaan klari-tebet every week, nyore di pinggir sungai walahar, langit karawang yang anehnya selalu cantik mau sunrise atau sunset, kawanan burung sore 57, dan segala drama karawang yang eternal summer yang hari-hari suhu 41 derajat.

GREEN DESERT Current forestry policy is more decorative than effective. We need a forestry policy that controls the monoculture of eucalyptus in Galicia, and northern Spain, that protects native biodiversity, that puts an end to this green, lifeless desert that has colonised our territory. The term 'green desert' came into use in Brazil in the 1980s to refer to the monoculture of trees on large tracts of land for cellulose production The current forestry policy is fuelling hell at home. The beginning of summer does not always happen on the same day. Summer can begin between June 20 and 22, depending on when the Sun reaches its highest point. The first day of summer is often the day with the most sunlight because the sun's rays hit the earth at a direct angle.

In Skopje, the sun rose at 4:58 a.m. and will set at 8:13 p.m. The day will last 15 hours and 14 minutes.

On the first day of summer, weather forecasters announce sunny and warm weather with low to moderate local cloudiness and a weak to moderate wind from the northwest. Tonight it would be great if we meditate, this is a special day.
