ok i really really really enjoyed watching the first two episodes and i think the show is already so faithful to the books in ways the movies wished they were BUT i’m gonna be a bitch just because i can and rant about a few insignificant but at the same time very important Things the writers didn’t Understand:

percy is angry.

and i know this is seen with his anger towards poseidon in the show, but i’m talking angry. as in, generally speaking. when he’s with grover and they’re talking about nancy, percy says something along the lines of “we should fight back,” and grover’s like “noooo we can’t stand up to bullies.” and then percy stands up to her and blah blah blah…but in the books percy’s first line is “i’m going to kill her” after she throws a sandwich at grover. grover talks him out of it because he’s already on probation.

with just this scene we know percy stands up to bullies, and that’s partly why he has so much trouble at school! in the show, he stands up to nancy, apparently for the first time, and gets kicked out because of it! sorry but as someone who worked in a school, i know for a fact that kids can get away with so much more before they’re actually kicked out lol. it would’ve made sense, like in tlt, that he’s already at risk of suspension so him “pushing” nancy is the final straw. it’s just very weird, considering it could be only a line of dialogue that makes percy’s anger and the connection between his outburst and him getting kicked out more clear.

consequently, percy arrives at his appartment and gabe is just a general (still admittedly abusive) jerk instead of a drunk, violent (also abusive) man. when we meet gabe, it makes a lot of sense why percy has so much trouble with his anger. it’s easy to see that connection. literal child + alcoholic abusive father figure = there’s bound to be some trouble….that’s not really the case in the show, especially in the way that sally easily stands up to him. people have said a fair bit about this topic already, so i’m not gonna expand on that, but i really wish the writers had focused more on percy’s internal anger, as it’s such an important part of his character and affects the way he reacts to things throughout the books; it just worries me that in the first episode it wasn’t as established. i. e. he hates dionysus on sight because he reminds him of smelly gabe, he hates the gods—is angry at poseidon—because, where was he when my mom and i were suffering at the hands of smelly gabe? ok i’m not gonna talk about more of this or of sally because other people have said it and i could write a four page essay of what the show got wrong plus i want to talk abt other things before this gets too long:

the monster scenes.

the mrs. dodds being a fury reveal felt sooo…weird? even the movie version did it better lol. it felt super rushed and strange how percy’s just standing there and the next he’s on the ground, but he had riptide with him so he just impaled her and then she turned to dust??? in the books, not only does she get percy alone, but grover tries to stand up to her—which is a big deal since he knows what she truly is and shows how much he cares for percy in that moment. percy has time to be genuinely terrified bc he’s alone with a literal monster and he’s about to die…and chiron throws him riptide just in time, but then he too vanishes so percy’s left wondering if he imagined everything. but no, in the show mrs. dodds comes out of nowhere and attacks him, and it’s so fast that percy doesn’t have time to dwell on wtf happened. the situation doesn’t seem as serious as it does in the book; in the book she tries to interrogate percy bc she thinks he’s the lightning thief, and when she doesn’t get her answer, she attacks him. this is another thing: the stakes. they don’t feel as high in the show because there’s no annabeth trying to ask percy what was stolen, no hellhound, no fates cutting a string, and no alecto/mrs. dodds interrogation. there’s not much of a lead up to the quest, really.

theeen the minotaur scene, which also feels super weirdly paced and there’s just not that same sense of urgency. again, other people have talked about this, so i’ll just stick to another main concern of mine: grover’s role in the scene. it was so strange how in the book he’s semi unconscious and in the show he’s fine (so fine that sally does something completely out of character and makes grover swear to keep percy safe? she would never put that much pressure in a child???) ok so he seems fine in the show, but then when they’re running percy’s holding him as if he can’t walk???? they’re not even fully sprinting, given that a monster is chasing them lol. (the problem with the stakes; i mean with the way they run and have an entire talk with sally makes it feel like they’re not in any real danger).

back to grover: he was perfectly fine, and he got percy back safe. not at all like in tlt, where percy has to practically carry him back, after loosing his mom and killing the minotaur. THEN percy passes out and later wakes up at the big house. this is important, bc grover’s entire THING is being percy’s protector, and he couldn’t do that properly bc he was indisposed. he felt awful. of course he did. his character arc is overcoming the guilt and insecurities—that he’s not a proper protector and therefore can’t search for pan; his main character motivation—by successfully completing the quest and helping percy retrieve the master bolt.

these are just little seeds that needed to be planted in the first two episodes of the show…so that the rest of the show feels cohesive and makes sense with what happens in tlt. if these character traits and scenes are looked over and not given proper importance/not replaced with something similar, then the show will have a different tone than it does to the books. i don’t think it’s necessarily bad, but it is disappointing that the details sprinkled in the source material are lost in translation. they may have seemed insignificant to the writers, but not to meeee!!!!!!

I don’t think 911 writers will do this, but I think it would be very, very funny:

Eddie and Buck get together, but at first it’s because they HAVE to get together. Say, Chris comes back from Texas and Bobby finds out about the Will and Bobby advises Eddie that, especially given Chris has asked to live with his grandparents before, that the Will is probably not very water tight. And if he wants Buck to look after Chris, he would probably need to do something else (by which, as viewer, Bobby tries making it clear Eddie needs to talk to Chris and his parents about it).

Instead Eddie asks Hen out of the blue how things worked with Mara with the custody fight and Hen drops that they were registered but that it’s easier to adopt as a married couple (Hen thinks this is about her adoption process, only the viewers realize Eddie is talking about Chris).

So Eddie invites Buck out to dinner (note: without Chris) and tells him that he got some information about the Will and has been advised that it’s not very solid and it would only be solid for the person Eddie is married to (Eddie makes it sound like it was a LAWYER he talked to, not just Hen and Bobby).

Buck is still in his “I have been broken up with” mood and said that he’s old now and no one will ever marry him. So if Eddie wants, Buck will marry him officially so that the Will will be fine. Eddie (kind of saying no homo) accepts.

Buck and Eddie just go to City Hall and start signing up their marriage certificate but the judge says how cute they look and gets a photographer to take their picture and it’s clear a BUNCH of strangers in the city hall are all congratulating them. It’s the first real hint that this is not just an on paper thing.

Next episode? Buck’s apartment building catches fire. Guess who’s homeless and ends up at Eddie’s? Buck says he will sleep on the couch, but Eddie jokes that they’re married so he might as well just crash in the same bed. Queue pining roommates era. They all quickly cosy up - and Eddie ends up going to confession again. Only for the priest to remind Eddie that he hasn’t done anything wrong.

Buck starts by saying he’ll start looking for a new place, but quickly admits to Maddie that he hasn’t really been looking, he’s been spending too much time just hanging out with his boys. And we get a shot of all three of them passed out napping with a movie still playing on the couch.

Buck is now basically Chris’ other dad and Buck and Eddie are literally married and pining over each other - and Eddie has even confessed his feelings for Buck to the priest, but both are too scared to cross that line. They both get caught in a floor cave in and end of confessing to each other and kissing - finally crossing that (by this time very blurred) line.

So then finally their relationship ends up going public and the 118 is like “ahhh that’s so great - when did it become official?” And Buck or Eddie says “oh probably back when we got married” and the whole 118 is like 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️, “you didn’t know to make the first move, but you were secretly married, wtf”.

SMAU! synopsis -› in which your neighbor and popular twitch streamer park sunghoon breaks his arm, so he switches to vlog style content that matches up with yours! now everyone’s curious why 1) you have a cute boy in your apartment, 2) sunghoon’s not on his grind anymore, and 3) when are you two going to date!?

[1.9K WC] To be neighbors in the same apartment complex is a blessing- especially when all of your friends are across town. When you knock on Sunghoon’s door, it’s followed by a loud sound akin to a crash (is sunghoon okay???), before Sunghoon opens the door running a hand through his hair, feeling nervous.

“Hi.” He chokes out. “Come in.” You glance at his cast to make sure he’s okay, and despite his tweet from earlier where he took it off, it looks fine.

“Hi..? You..okay?” and the boy in question gives you a tight lipped smile. Was he…nervous?

You take in his apartment- it’s minimalistic in the best way, with succulents on the windows and polaroids of him and his friends hanging near the TV. While much of the furniture is white, it looks clean, and you’re glad that Sunghoon really does take care of his space. Twitch must pay him well (or used to) to have an apartment this nice.

He ushers you to his gaming room, where you see his extensive set-up. With monitors, cameras, headphones, and a glowing keyboard, you’re enamored by the way he’s gotten everything set-up all without his wires being tangled.

“I’m live- but I’m muted.” He starts, and his camera records him saying something, but the live audience on the other side is curious as to who he’s talking to since you were out of frame.

“Wait, I need a chair, right?” And it makes Sunghoon pause his one handed typing on the keyboard, mumbling a quiet ‘oh,’ before he stands back up.

“Here. Sit.” Sunghoon pushes you slightly to the gaming chair before your can protest, his movement awkward and robotic as he makes you sit down. The thought of Sunghoon being as nervous as you makes you smile, before you remember who you’re in front of.

‘IS THAT HIS GF’ ‘omg with yn rent free’ ‘YNNN I LOVE UR VIDS’ ‘bro they’re LITERALLY DATING’

When your eyes scan the messages, you call for Sunghoon to come back, who’s barely passed the door. “Let me unmute and introduce myself.” You suggest. And the streamer finds his palm becoming even more sweaty as he clicks a few buttons to turn the mic on. You watch him intently, and send him a warm smile as your thanks.

“Hi guys.” you wave at the camera before giving him the green light to get the chair that you need.

‘omg she’s so pretty’ ‘who is this wtf’ ‘where’s hoon lol’ ‘HIII YNNNNN’

A smile makes it’s way on your face with the last message. “My name is ____, and Sunghoon’s invited me over. Did he say anything to you guys?”

“We’re not together.” You confirm with a nervous smile, afraid of what would happen if his diehard fans found out about his relationship. “He’s just here to teach me bedwars.” The chat gets even faster- if it’s even possible. Questions and theories about your friendship with Sunghoon continue to pop up. “But don’t leave!” You say after you see some disinterest. “You guys should totally learn with me. Is there anyone who also doesn’t know how to play? Just..” You try to find the right words. “Think of Sunghoon as like, your boyfriend who’s teaching you bedwars.”

‘are he the one you keep tweeting about’ ‘YN IS HERE WOAHH’ ‘no yn you’re the gf he’s teaching’ ’so endgame couple!!’

The scraping of the chair as your neighbor tries to bring it in with one hand is funny to listen to outside of the door, and you giggle when you hear him curse, leaning out of frame to see if he’s okay or if he needs help.

“I heard that.” Sunghoon says when he’s in your range of vision, and it catches on the mic. With the way his viewers see your face light up now that he’s here, they automatically assume you two really have something going on. You’re only relieved to have him take over, no longer having to see some of the negative messages that fly by. At least on YouTube, you could ignore it all. Here? it’s all live, and you see it all.

Sunghoon sets up the chair and makes sure you’re comfortable before assuming his spot.

“What’s up bae-bees?” And you fight yet another smile at that stupid name. “This is Y/N. Makes vlog content but I think my gameplay is much more fun to watch. And by the way, check out our Q n A on her channel.” He glances over to you, and now that you’re properly able to look at him, you see the makeup that he had on for the photoshoot; and you can’t just not admit that Sunghoon is cute with his blush across the nose and freckles. You saw the after photoshoot post from him, too.

‘wait so dating rumors..???’ ‘DATING OR SIBLINGS’

“Are you two dating? Absolutely not.” He sends you a teasing grin, one that makes you swat at his shoulder with an indignant look- yeah, you’re not beating these dating allegations.

“Wow, you hate me? We spend like, 7 hours together the other day, and then you texted me saying you were outside- I thought we were friends!” And Sunghoon feels a flood of panic pass through him. Yes- he knows exactly what you mean. But his chat? his friends? Everyone who has just heard you speak? They have zero idea without context.

You’re not use to phrasing things as a streamer, and in an effort to calm his faster than light chat, Sunghoon stammers, “Yeah, we were cleaning so much of your new place. And those texts were all jokes- I’d never do that to a friend.”

Nodding in agreement without understanding the commotion you’ve caused, you try to read more of the chat.

‘pick me’ ‘ur too cute for her’ ‘she’s so cringe’

When Sunghoon sees the same things you do, his expression hardens, suddenly feeling upset. He was worried that this would happen. “Just because ____ isn’t in the gaming space or a streamer doesn’t mean you guys have the right to be mean to her. She puts in just as much effort into her videos and marketing her channel as much as I do for my gameplays. Please be nice, or I won’t be as willing to do special streams in the future.”

With appreciation, you pat his wrist, which is out of frame. You’re not really sure how to defend yourself against such baseless accusations, and considering Sunghoon’s not even your boyfriend, they have a reason to be so much more toxic and rude towards you without him defending you the way a boyfriend would.

“Maybe I should leave-“ You whisper to only him, suddenly feeling self-conscious.

Sunghoon shakes his head. “No, let me return the favor- plus, you wanted to learn bedwars. I’ll teach you the ropes.” His reassuring words make you feel more inclined to stay, not feeling as negative and embarrassed as before. He returns his attention to the chat after uncovering his mic, seeing some of his friends have seen the special title for today’s stream and joined.

“Hi Riki, Hee, Jay. Where’s Jake?” You peer over to see their verified badges with special colors appear, and Sunghoon reads their comments out loud. “Okay- enough of that. I’ll be teaching her how to play, now, so I might not be checking chat. As always, please be nice, and seeing as all my friends are in chat, there are even more mods available to ban you guys.” His voice is stern, but you can tell how much Sunghoon hates being mean to his fans.

simjake: ‘hi y/n please kick his ass so he’ll stfu.’

Sunghoon catches he quicker than you do, reading it with widened eyes. “Please kick his ass so he’ll shut the fuck up? Dude, If we’re on fortnite tonight, you’re last choice for squads.”

“But you can’t even play, Sunghoon.” You point out, and he frowns- trying his best to pretend that a kid on a bike wasn’t the whole reason he’s going bankrupt.

“I’m learning how to use it with the cast.”

“Don’t doctors tell you to literally not use it so it heals faster?” And he shrugs. Sunghoon’s arm really isn’t healing anytime soon, even if he swears it is.

“Well- anyways.” He uses his good arm to pull up the running tab for Minecraft, his avatar already in an empty lobby for you to practice. “Y/N is going to learn bedwars!”

Your face falls, and you look over to Sunghoon in horror. “I thought we were going to learn first. Without the stream.

He shakes his head with a half shrug, and moves his mouse around to make sure it’s still working like how he needs it to. “I think chat will find it funny to watch.”

You straighten up with determination and tell him to scoot over so you can place your hands on and familiarize yourself with the keyboard.

“Try the spacebar,” Sunghoon says with pride, and you laugh at how nerdy it sounds coming from him. After clicking the key a few times, and experimentally typing in the MInecraft chat, he begins to explain how to play, and you do your best to listen to him as he instructs you. “You know how to play, yes?” And your slight experience whenever you come to play on Sunoo’s set-up comes in handy for basic things like managing the game controls.

His 20k viewers all noticed a few things that neither of you picked up- both too engrossed in learning how to bridge without falling off, but also trying to fight and defend from other players.

They noticed how you liked to poke fun at Sunghoon sometimes- similar to your Youtube video where you’d make small but funny digs, and Sunghoon would go along with it. Everyone noticed how he was gently reassuring you with a hand on your shoulder or his fingers intertwining with yours when you stood up in frustration to pull it back to the mouse. Sunghoon here wasn’t the same flirty streamer who read his chat, called people his wife, or yelled at his friends (all in good fun!) when they lost match point; he was doting, and calm, with eye-crinkling smiles and praises everytime you bridged enough blocks to the other side. And after a bit more than an hour, you became tired of falling off the cliff from dynamite, or running out of golden apples to eat when you were running away- all to Sunghoon’s amusement.

You bid farewell to his chat, who all had fun watching you get excited while playing. For the gamers who watched Sunghoon’s channel, you le gameplay and reactions reminded them of the excitement it felt to play for the first time, and the problems they used to encounter trying to get better.

Sunghoon returns, with his chin resting on his good hand was he lazily reads chat. “He’s so in love.” He reads, scoffing. “Absolutely not, me and her are just friends. I’d do it for anyone.”

Hear me out: they’ve never dated, never hooked up, never really talked, never even thought of each other that way.. and yet.

You can’t tell me they don’t interact with each other like crazy exs. Like for sure every other sentence is some personalized dig, every look they share is full of hatred and despise and crazed anger, they hate each other and they’d be at each other’s throats in an instant even though they’re forced to interact because of Reg. EVERYTHING they do fucking pisses the other one off (“Honestly, transfiguration doesn’t hold shit to potions. Like wtf are you doing to do with a cup that was once a rat?” “Why don’t you shove your fucking stir stick down your throat along with some fucking blackened toad testicles and choke on them so you can shut up for once, Crouch” “Oh I’m sorry, didn’t know you were in the conversation Mr ‘McGonagall’s fucking lapdog’” “And what are you going to do? Stir me clockwise three times? That just as basic as your brother’s paw print ones.” “He has paw print tattoos?” “You just can’t see them.”) They also have no qualms about vaguely referencing things from like four years ago that no longer have significance just to prove a point (“Crouch you can’t plug your ears for shit: you lost to a baby mandrake screech.” “THAT WAS IN SECOND YEAR YOU WEREN’T EVEN THERE!” “History repeats itself.”; “Says the guy who once called Professor McGonagall ‘mum’.” “I didn’t even say it loudly how did you hear that?”) All of the people outside the friend group thinks they had to have dated but no one knows when and no one can get an answer from the others (it’s honestly starting to seem like they don’t even know). The rest of them, especially Regulus and James, are so fed up with it. Remus facepalms constantly, but Evan’ll reward a good remark on Barty’s end with a bite.

I would have loved to see Sam having trauma from mystery spot. Like u watch ur brother die a million times, then spend months without him trying to hunt down the one who killed him to bring him back and u walk away from that FINE??? Like no

Would have loved to see Sam napping in the impala while dean drove and suddenly ‘heat of the moment’ comes on the radio and Sam shoots up and grabs dean so suddenly that dean swerves a little. Deans like “??? Wtf Sam” and Sam is like “turn that off!!” And deans like “cmon Sam Asia isn’t that bad” but turns it off anyways cuz Sam is clearly upset about it.

They’re in a grocery store when ‘heat of the moment’ comes on and Sam freaks out again and atp deans srsly concerned cuz like Asia isn’t his fav but its not THAT bad.

Sam can’t seem to let dean out of his sight, especially in parking lots and deans like “???” Cuz yea they’ve been through some shit so dean gets the clingyness but it’s getting ridiculous

So after Sam freaks out about ‘heat of the moment’ for the 11th time dean just straight out asks wtf is up and Sam’s like “…u remember that mystery spot thing while back” and deans like “..yea?” And Sam admits he’s still a bit wired abt it but he’s fine and Dean doesn’t have to worry about him and dean internally is very much worrying

So as a way to comfort Sam, dean starts sticking to his side more and eventually it gets to the point they start sleeping in the same bed and dean says it’s just cuz “the only room left was a single so we have to share” and Sam internally is like “we never share even if there’s only one bed Wtf” but he lowkey appreciates it cuz it does make him feel better

And at one point Sam wakes up and dean is spooning him and Sam is weirdly okay with it even tho they’re usually never this touchy unless one of them had a close call or came back from the dead.

And Sam knows Dean knows that they’re cuddling in their sleep and they know the other knows but they just don’t speak on it and both feel better cuz of it

And dean’s still like “I’m only doing this cuz Sam needs it” even tho he’s def enjoying it too

And then one day sam wakes up to dean’s hard on against his back and short circuits. Cuz. He’s not grossed out and he’s starting to feel himself harden a bit too which isnt just morning wood. And. Wait. Is he into this? Omg. He’s into this. Oml.

It’s the middle of the week, have some dancing turtles

Spoilers below as I gush about my Mutant Mayhem Monday experience 🤗 please feel free to gush with me I wanna hear other people’s thoughts too!

First off… When Seth wanted to put the teenager in TMNT he meant it. Like, all the versions act like teenagers, but like Nickelodeon PG stereotypical teens. MM turtles were the realest PG-13 outta pocket 21st century teenagers I’ve ever seen and I love that shit because it’s the first time I actually felt like I was around the kids in middle school and high school again with the way they talk. Kinda appreciate Superfly cussing too? Like idk it’s Ice Cube and this villain goes hard tryna kill some teenage turtles he formally saw as his lil cousins, let the grown mutant cuss

Also uh, was not expecting to be sad so early in the movie? Like I could tell from the trailers it was gon be an emotional rollercoaster but shit like ten minutes in and these turtles are fuckin depressed. And to see it really hit me because in every other version (except for Bayverse) the turtles literally never let not being part of the human world get to them. In the shows especially they’re so well adjusted and never bothered by sticking to the shadows. Then there’s Rise where they pretty much go out whenever they want and indulge in most of the human world stuff they want to. For these guys to be so stunted and desperate to have more freedom was so heart wrenching. Especially when Splinter grounds them for a whole month and the reality sinks in of how much they know the life they want isn’t an option for them

Wasn’t expecting any kind of ship or romance but that crush Leo has on April hit me like truck because…… holy crap the Leo-April pair has never been a thing? On top of that this is only the second on screen black April we’ve seen and I’ve been a Leo kinnie across the board since day one so to see this combo of my favorite character liking a black girl is making me lose my mind 🥲 and like it got me thinking of several of my favorite shows and the single characters I kin in those and if they’ve ever had black love interests and it’s just still not a common normalized thing honestly.

I’m sure a lot of people aren’t excited for the prospect of ships coming back (especially after 2012 scarred us) but as a Leo lover and black girl it got me so excited to see something like this. I’m just hopeful and optimistic they won’t mess it up like a lot of shows do. The “this is just as friends line” already makes me a little worried bc that trope never has a good history but I have faith they’ll handle things tastefully and not make it toxic or messy

All imma say about the puke scene is that I’m glad I heard an “out of context” spoiler about it bc I knew exactly when to look away and I’m glad I did bc the scene lasted for so long??? 😀❓But hey at least I had Unwritten to listen too while I was sparing my eyes 😂

The sequence of them going around and shaking down those gangs and Superfly’s connections. BAD. ASS. And each of them got their own moments to shine? Loved it. Like they each even got to take point and have their moments where they got to kick in the door lol. And the fight scenes were just, muah. Chef’s kiss, they all looked amazing taking grown ass adults down together

Okay Splinter definitely gets the best dad award for putting together that little surprise party, with all the celebrity Chris’s and pretending to wait on them 🥺 so pure. It did make me sad the guys immediately left and you can just see such a sad dejected look on Splinter’s face, knowing he can’t provide what his kids really want or make them happy enough without it 🥲 At the very least they say thanks and that they appreciate but I would’ve at least stayed for a lil bit and gone along with it, Splinter just looked so excited about it and it was so sweet 😭

And he doesn’t even get upset though he knows they’re hiding something, he just says he’ll help them if they’ve gotten into trouble, which is something I’m sure almost every kid has wanted instead of having the kind of relationship where they’re more scared of telling their parents they messed up instead of handling it on their own

I love how musical Superfly’s family is 😂 Ray Filet just starts sing-introducing his name and Mondo and the other couple mutants when they drive with in the car trying to find music they could all sing to together 🥹 not to mention the musical references Superfly makes later that I’ll get to. “Kinda don’t wanna murder everyone on Earth, I just kinda wanna sing” Me too bruh.

Raph immediately going “goochi goochi goo” and playing peekaboo with Genghis frog is so underrated that boy has such a soft side he’s not even that afraid of showing at times, and maybe it’s continuing the trope of Raph having a soft spot for pets/animals? Who knows 😌

Yo I was kinda shook when that government guy knocked Leo out and he just fell unconscious on the ground 😶 Like we’re used to seeing the authorities be brutal especially in movies like this but that’s a whole teenager? You just assaulted a minor? 🙂 Crazy

Also I know it’s sad they got captured and drained painfully but Mikey in that scene was hilarious 😂 like even the way he was dramatically crying and Leo was just started to cry with him like “iM sO sOrRy mIkEeEeEy! 😭” gold. When one of his children is hurting Leo hurts too. One of my favorite moments 🤣

They literally started singing BTS while being tortured they’re so unserious but like in a serious way to them and I love it. Also the fact that they did it just to make Donnie feel better? So pure. Like Raph of all turtles offered to sing while being drained of blood (bc I refuse to use the m word 💀)

The way Splinter snuck in and soloed literal government soldiers single handedly? Badass. Never loved seeing a Splinter save his sons so much 🥹

Oml they’re so puuuuure 😭 I really thought this was gonna be a moment where the guys invite them all to come live with them and Splinter was gonna be like ‘aha 😬 whoa slow down there’ but damn nah he was just as enthusiastic as them inviting all those mutants to come live in their home forever “The more the merrier!” Like ugh he just loves finding family like Baxter Stockman and we see where the guys got their loving nature from 🥹

The amount of his soul Mikey put into that BROSEEEPH was so real like I’ve never heard the name broseph be said in any other way, I’m so glad they put that moment in there

Oml superfly’s a Broadway baby 🤗 he’s a big bad villain marching through time square and talking about King Kong but he’s fill gonna nerd out and make his musical theatre references 😂

I love the Leo Raph dynamic in this movie. Like they don’t always agree or understand each other but they will show love towards one another and show mutual appreciation

Something about any of the turtles shells cracking always gets to me for some reason like those are some serious permanent injuries so I want to see if they do anything special with that in the sequel or show maybe 🤔 And I couldn’t tell if all of theirs cracked or just one, and if so which turtle it was. I think Leo or Raph. I feel like it was Leo but Raph’s are also starting to have a trend of getting cracks in their shells so 🤷🏽‍♀️

Also I do not want to judge what other people like to wear but why are Raph and Donnie the only normal dressed ones 😭 like Mikey looks like he’s going on vacation and Leo looks like he’s going to clock in at Best Buy 😂 tell me it’s because they have limited resources for clothes lmao. HE’S LITERALLY WEARING A LANYARD

Them taking off the masks was crazy honestly… like them deciding not to wear them made my brain pause until I realize they’re kids going to school now and not being ninjas all the time… they don’t need them anymore. I’m just so pleased with the fact that this movie was willing to do what all other iterations weren’t. I see why they’re getting a sequel and show already, these guys and the plot development deserve so much more exploration

Maybe I missed something in the beginning but I’m wondering where Stockman went. Like is he still in custody? Did he die? Because not seeing him again that’s what I assumed but we only saw him get arrested or whatever, so if anything I don’t get why Superfly and the others wouldn’t try to break him out 🤔 I was surprised they didn’t make him a villain though, but I’m pretty happy about him getting to be a more optimistic kind character tho

SHREDDER HAD ME SHOOK LIKE THE ARMOR ALREADY LOOKED SO COOL AND I WAS NOT EXPECTING THEM TO GET THE BIG BAD INVOLVED AHHHH I’M SO READY TO SEE THEM REACT TO THIS ANGRY GIANT TIN CAN

Although I do wonder if Shredder’s gonna have some personal gripe with them since they have a different backstory he doesn’t seem to be a part of. And shit now that they’re public and in school it’s gonna be so much easier for him to go after them 😅 pluses and minuses…

The soundtrack: golden. Cultured. Nothing but range. Goes from a 90’s rap song to Natasha Bedingfield’s soulful 2000’s song. Most movies only ever have all pop mainstream songs or only rap songs because they think they can’t mix but MM does it effortlessly. The turtles are so versatile not just with music genres but they make old and new references ‘cause they’re well rounded kings 💪🏽 Between rizz, Adele, broski, Hey Arnold, K-Pop, Ferris Bueller, etc… I mean Donnie’s literally doing the sprinkler and the funky chicken in that gif up top 😂 they’re born in 2008 I doubt any kids today know about those dances anymore

So a while ago I read this multi-part fic thingy, it was a Peter Parker smut, and I was wondering if you guys could help me find it?

(Warning: this is what I remember from it so it’s gonna be inappropriate)

So I don’t remember how it started out exactly, but anyways reader and Peter were alone in his and May’s apartment, and they were doing stuff, and I think it ended with her sucking him off or something (I think maybe they were on the couch) and then May and her parents surprise (I wouldn’t call it a surprise but it was unexpected and spontaneous) them by May coming back with her parents (her mom and dad) and brought pizza. Anyways they might’ve fallen asleep a little after their “activities” and I think maybe his, you know, thing, was still out of his shorts and y/n was on top of him, sleeping but in a very compromising position, and they come in and are like “hey guys guess what I got pizza and y/n’s parents are here!” Or something and they’re caught, and maybe Peter’s shorts were around his ankles or something because he ended up tripping, hitting his head on a table (I think it was a coffee table), and getting knocked out, and her parents are PISSED, especially her dad, and while may is mad she’s not pissed like her dad is, and her parents end up taking her home and taking her phone at some point, so while her dad is out and her mom is in the shower or something, she takes her mom’s laptop to communicate with Peter, and with their flirting and sexy talk whatever, he ends up (idk if it was jokingly or not, probably not) asking for a pic of her ass, because that was some bet or dare they made earlier before May and her parents caught them after doing stuff. Anyways she takes pictures of herself on the laptop and sends them to him, and he’s on his bed looking at them, boner alert 🚨, when her May lets her dad into their apartment so he can talk to Peter and try to sort things out since he acted kinda loco irrational, then Peter is acting weird because he was just looking at (basically) nudes of dude’s daughter, has a boner, then this man comes into his room and it kinda interrogating him, I think maybe he was annoyed because Peter was still sitting in his bed with the blanket covering him like he wasn’t trying to be serious or something but he was just hiding his blunder ⛺️, and he sees that Peter has his phone and is like “seriously? Why do you have your phone after what we caught you two doing?” Like annoyed/ticked that May didn’t take Peter’s phone after everything, then Peter is acting suspicious, like immediately hiding his phone screen when he walked in, and y/n’s dad’s like “give me the phone” and he’s not doing it, and her dad ends up taking it and gets LIVID, and maybe he tried to beat up Peter, probably, and I think May is like “nope, you’re not gonna beat up my nephew” and kicks dude out, but May is PISSED and is like “are you fucking serious Peter? You both get in trouble for getting caught “doing stuff” and you ask her for nudes?” And then she’s like “you’re done”. Anyways y/n’s dad gets home and he’s so angry and he’s like “how did you get this laptop?” And maybe he started accusing his wife of letting her use it, and then y/n says something like “no I took it when she was in the shower”, and they end up not being allowed to see each other (lol of course they don’t listen). And the last part I think is like even though she’s still grounded, her parents let her go to prom, idk if they knew that she went with Peter, and they ended up getting a hotel room (I don’t know if it was already booked or what) and they do, ya know, the nasty, and after all that her dad’s is beating on the hotel door and they’re like “WTF how did he find us?” Because they got the room to be alone and not interrupted since they hadn’t really been able to be together since she’s been grounded, and her dad is like saying “you used MY credit card to get the room, of course I found out about it” and then he ends up seeing a condom (or more 🤷‍♀️) in the trash can and gets PISSED.

Sorry this isn’t the best description, I haven’t read it in a while and I’ve looked for it a lot, but I haven’t found it so I thought “why not ask my peeps of tumblr if they know it” so if you’ve read it and know what it’s called and what platform it’s on (Tumblr or Wattpad) and the author maybe, that would be SOO amazing!

And along those lines, I can see the creator walking up to Zhongli, referencing something from so far in teyvat’s past that he’s the only one who remembers. And Zhongli would start talking realize “wait why does this random mortal know that?”

Oh, and the creator and nahida would be such great friends. The god of wisdom who was locked up for 500 years, and is now learning about the world, and the random god who appeared with knowledge about some obscure facts about the world, but nothing about the day-to-day life of those living in teyvat? They can bond over their shared lack of knowledge about how the world works!

Please don’t bash me for any of these. The DnDads fandom is generally very nice but shipping discourse is something that can get heated no matter the fandom.

Henry Darryl: very neutral. I understand the ship I just never fully got on the boat

Henry Glenn: absolutely fucking feral about them do not get me started on Glennry

Darryl Glenn: feral in a different way that I don’t know how to describe other than toxic yaoi in the way that they’re damaged but refuse to talk about it so they kiss about it instead

Loveeeeeeee polydads but only as Henry/Glenn/Darryl. Not really a Ron shipper I love him and Samantha too much. Ron and Glenn’s friendship is very important to me though

In terms of Jodie, I don’t really ship him with any of the main dads, ESPECIALLY not Glenn. Even if Jimmy didn’t play Jodie I’d still never ship them. Wish Scamster was real and not completely a scam because they’re literally a crackship become real except it was never a crackship before canon. It’s surprising to me that they weren’t really shipped beforehand

Henry Mercedes: THE T4T OF ALL TIME BABEYYYYY. Absolutely iconic couple, fate was in their favor with how they met they were destined for each other

Darryl Carol: After hearing how Darryl talked about his family in Heaven, I was actually really happy they ended up not getting divorced. They clearly had a rough patch as seen in s1, but they genuinely love each other and I love how devoted to her Darryl is. The little finger puppet he made of her in the time out zone… :,)

Glenn Morgan: GLORGAN!!!!!!!!! Oh my god these two tear me apart. I am feral for Glorgan angst there’s too much to work with. More people need to start calling them Glorgan instead of Morglenn please please please please pretty please indulge me in my silly ship name

Ron Samantha: sobbing. They’re so sweet. The distinction that Samantha is also a little silly is very important to me. They love each other so fucking much

Terry Veronica: I think the reveal that Terry is infertile is a nice touch to their relationship. It sounds weird to say and I feel like I might word this all weirdly. Him being unable to have bio kids but finding love in someone who wants to raise a kid with him anyways. Veronica finding new love again after a supposedly abusive relationship. Both of those combined is something I really love.

Grant Marco: Canon gays ftw. The Titanic episode was so generous in letting us get to see their dynamic. Obviously Grant still has a long way to go in finding self love but I’m so happy he found someone who can support him and loves him back like this.

I think the majority of people who have paid some attention figured out fairly easily that Will is gay and that he loves Mike! My partner figure out he was gay from the very beginning. But with Mike… I tried to make them guess why Mike couldn’t love El and it took a while but finally they guessed correctly. Lol

When it comes to Mike, the clues are there but El is covering them up so to speak. The mere fact that he has a girlfriend is making most people assume that he’s straight. Especially because El is such a focus in the show.

I remember for me as a GA, the thought of Will/Mike was always somewhat of a possibility in my head- just because they are so emotionally intimate. Even though I didn’t know if the writers were going that direction, I definitely never ruled it out.

Overall, I think most of the GA will be satisfied with Will/Mike, especially if it’s all explained explicitly enough for them!

me and a friend had the sudden realisation that mikey is coming to 2012 with a 2020 personality, and i was just wondering if you have any thoughts on how they might have cultural differences in that regard! i always think back to that one comic where raphael says “i’m gonna call you a slur” and leo is like “no let him, i wanna know which one he picks”

I’ll just go with early season 2012 since that’s the one the story was on, it’d probably be a bit different if we’re talking late seasons 2012 but regardless—

Personally, I think the major difference would be the open mindedness. Rise grew up in a much more accepting world as well as having a social life outside of their lair, no matter how small it was. They got out to see the world and experience it for themselves from a relatively early age.

2012, on the other hand, didn’t even really go up to the surface AT ALL until they were fifteen, and all they had was each other to talk to. There wasn’t really anything on the internet for them to branch out with. Added onto that that Splinter was raised in Japan with a COMPLETELY different social culture than in the USA (especially New York), they’re probably overall more conservative and resistant to change and the like than the Rise boys are.

That’s not to say they CANT change or won’t, but it’s hard when you’ve been sheltered from almost everything your whole life and only have your parent as a frame of reference. Michelangelo is really the only one who is a go with the flow type of guy who wouldn’t have any problems at all fundamentally.

Then there the obvious slang and trendy differences, but I think that applies more to the Rise side of things rather than 2012 since they’ve been sheltered so hard and don’t have much frame of reference. I think it would be a lot of ‘what does yeet mean?’ And ‘wtf is no cap and cap?’

It would definitely be more of a complete culture shock to 2012 April and Casey, but if they can accept aliens and talking turtles and rat ninjas then they shouldn’t have too much of a learning curve lol.

Any way I remember you mentioned that Uta had ascended to godhood so she was human once. Was Nika the one to claim her?

As the ‘voice of change’ does that mean she can use voice of all? ( since she wears headphone’s because it’s to overwhelming it makes sense).

If she can does she use it to talk to the other gods? ( like telepathy between them possibly?)

((I can also see her using it and unintentionally contacting the gods , nika specially leading to them meeting. Also Nika annoying the hell out of her since she’s the only one who can hear him.))

Yeah! As you said, it is overwhelming for her and the headphone help tone it down/filter it.

While I think the gods are able to communicate in a sense with each other, it's not direct telepathy. They can sense each other and feel vague emotions and ideas not its not through words. They don't use it to actively talk to one other. After all they can kinda just...teleport.

At first they kinda treated like like a stray cat Luffy brought home one day but eventually they warmed up to her. She is indeed like a younger sibling to them as well, albeit not as close as Luffy is to them, but close enough.

The other gods do! They don't leave her hanging by herself!
