so first things first anon, i have wonderful news! all of my alec's are autistic because i headcanon him as autistic and thats the only way i write him really <3

i'm autistic and thats just how I ended up writing him and i have for years, but i stopped tagging it because i got tired of dealing with people (this is not directed at you btw, i was so excited to see this prompt and that you liked them and felt seen by it!!! because thats what i originally wanted) who didn't feel i made alec 'autistic enough' which just annoyed and triggered me so i stopped tagging it. also some gross stereotypes and at one point someone told me to 'prove i was autistic'... but that was several years ago.

now i live with my bf who is more than happy to deal with ignorant people for me, so i'm happy to start tagging it again if it makes people feel seen? since that's the most important part. so this is autistic alec but it's more domestic than focusing on autistic? since like i mentioned, all my alecs are?

so i hope you enjoy that knowledge and this fic.

also, in pretty much all of my fics Magnus is Alec's main Special Interest. it's why he kind of just is happy doing things Magnus likes, because that's who he likes enjoying himself and that makes his day. Especially when he contributes to it in some way or just gets to bask in it.

Alec stares at the group of ichor-dripping shadowhunters in front of him and looks blankly at the sheepish faces of his hunters and the unrepentant, mulish expressions of Jace and Clary.

Already he knows exactly how this is about to go and he wants no part of it. In fact, he is activating his newest protocol.

“Mirai!” He yells out and in a flash of runic speed, his second is there and staring at the group with her own scowl. “These two teams seem to think that whatever mess they got into, that it required the Head of the Institute, do you agree?”

Mirai scoffs and gives the group a dark look, “Commander, the only thing they need is to be tossed into decontamination and put on ichor duty for a few shifts. Especially since one of them left a body shaped dent in an alley wall and mundane chatter picked it up.”

Jace winces suspiciously and Alec sends him a scolding look, because he really should know better.

“You didn’t punch the wall or something after? Make it less suspicious?” Alec asks, because they have protocols, and nothing tonight should have required such sloppy work.

“Clary saw something and—” Jace trails off and shrugs, as if realizing he’s only about to get himself and his little menace in more trouble.

“I’m leaving.” Alec finally says and he turns, walking out of the Institute itself instead of just going to his office.

“What’s wrong?” Magnus asks and Alexander melts into him, ignoring Magnus’ book and his cup and his greedy boy practically shoves them out of the way so he can collapse onto Magnus’ lap.

“People are wrong.” Alexander tells him and he makes a grumble against Magnus’ belly, “no more talking now.” Alexander tells him, which means that his boy is very close to overstimulation or is already there.

“Alright darling, I have you.” Magnus promises and the lights dim, and he hesitates before he touches Alexander, relieved when Alexander nuzzles into the touch.

Alexander mumbles an agreement but doesn’t say anything else and Magnus lets time pass as he gently plays with Alexander’s hair until his boy finally, slowly takes a deep breath and sits up. He’s avoiding Magnus’ gaze but in a relaxed way, so Magnus waits patiently. There are lips pressed to his cheek and Alexander leans against him, snuggling into his side and claiming Magnus’ hand to wrap around himself so he can kiss the knuckles.

“Shall I portal us away?” Magnus offers, because sometimes the rare occasion of being taken somewhere safe and protected by Magnus’ magic is appealing. Other times, like now, Alexander just shakes his head with a sigh and leans more firmly into him.

“No, I need to stay here and be on standby. Mirai is going to cover for me while I take a break though. It wouldn’t have been such a big deal, if they hadn’t brought in enough ichor to give every shadowhunter a headache. Sensory overload when I wasn’t expecting it and I was already pretty raw from my meeting with the clave.”

“You can relax here.” Magnus promises him, reminding Alexander that the loft is safe and will always be safe for him.

Anywhere Magnus is will always be a space that is safe for his boy.

Hisoka Morrow as a boyfriend (Headcanons)

Hisoka is difficult to understand since he never show who he truly is or what he truly feel, but with time you might see more about him. Though, you're probably the only one to see that since he doesn't show his true facade to anybody. In fact, you're the only one that managed to make the magician feel like human again.

Although this could be contradictory, Hisoka isn't the kind to have short term relationships. To be clear, yes might have played around here and there, but once he finds a true partners they're in for a long while. He can't just let anyone get close to him and expect them to leave easily. If you manage to be his, you're most likely to stay his.

Hisoka LOVES to spoil you, whatever you want he'll get it. This man is so ready to swipe his card he doesn't care at all. Makeup, clothes, shoes, purses, jewelry, nails, he's paying. You're his darling and he wants to show you how much he adores you. He also loves to match outfits and pieces of jewelry with you.

He likes to take you to fancy dinners on top of towers and stuff. He would you gift you a dress for the date and would leave a note like: "Wear this tonight my sweet angel ⭐-.-💧 xoxo ♡"

He calls you all the time and texts you a lot, because he wants to make sure you're doing well, that you have ate and to reminds you how much he loves you.

He is very protective and possessive, he doesn't like people staring at you or talking to you a lot. He wants you all by himself and desire your all of your attention.

God forbid anyone bothers you, this man has absolutely no patience for rude and mean people, especially if they're rude to you. Card will be flying and heads will be missing, he'll try not to hurt them for you, but won't hesitate to stand up for you (and maybe make them regret the day they were born.)

Hisoka loves to cuddle you, he likes the feeling of having you in his arms and whispering sweet things to you. Which often leads you to sleep on his chest and he doesn't mind it at all. In fact, he tries not to move too much in he sleeps to keep you comfy. He plants soft kisses in your cheeks and caresses you delicatly.

When you're in a sad mood he tries to cheer you up by showing you magic tricks or cooking your favorite meal. He doesn't show it, but it really riles him up to see you upset. You're his sweet girlfriend and your smile is something he values deeply. He'd do anything to hear you laugh again.

Hisoka is extremely romantic, he talks to you sweetly swaying with your feelings with his words "My sweet little girl, you know how much I love you right? Hm?" He runs you a bath with flowers and candles decorated meticulously around. He ties your shoes, gives you piggyback rides when you're tired or picks you up bridal style. He kisses you passionately shaking your very soul and call you by all sort of endearing nicknames.

He won't say it but when you listen to him and take intrest in what he's talking about he falls in love with you all over again. He rarely gets to actually have conversations with people since they fear him, but when you just sit there laughing and smiling at whatever he's saying, he feels lucky to have someone like you. Someone who's just like rays of sun illuminating everything around providing a comforting warmth. Not so long ago he would find this pathetic, but he didn't know how much he craved this connection until he met you. He cherishes every moment with you.

Above all Hisoka is a very passionate boyfriend and he knows how to make you feel loved. Under his mischievous demeanor, he deeply cares about you and wants to make you happy. He's happy to have found you and appreciates all of the small gestures you do for him. Nobody has ever taken time to show this man a bit of compassion, but there you were making him feel things he never felt.

Being Hisoka's girlfriend means that every day is an adventure...

I don't know how shippers met their SO and developed long term relationships in spite of separate careers and locations. When two people love each other and want to be together they do everything they can to make the relationship work. They may have met between October 2013 and March 2014 and it was through common friends as C said later, because by March they were already dating, spending Christmas and New Year together with family and friends. Like every early relationship, especially for someone in the public eye, there is no talk about it because people wait to see how the whole thing develops. In CT's case, it worked because they spent their time off together. Then they got engaged in 2017, married in 2019 and had a child in 2021. And let's remember that many actors married to actors usually don't make it, precisely because they are apart filming in various places around the world for months on end. CT lived close enough and had the option to be together when one wasn't able to travel. Having a civilian as spouse is a plus in this case. This is how organic relationships work, but these nitwits are so devoid of any common sense and constant drooling over S, the only conclusion they came to was that CT's relationship was impossible due to her spending the bulk of her time on set with their wet dream.

The ‘Civilian’ Boyfriend

So, I’ve only been shipping SC ‘with’ you all since August sometime.  And I don’t have the timelines of Caitriona’s schedule as dialed in as some of you.  But one thing that keeps nagging me about her having a ‘civilian’ boyfriend that SHE apparently didn’t have before Outlander began and only happened after she started filming OL, is this:

So she gets cast late August, early September 2013.  Is in Scotland by mid September, is working, which includes learning script, meetings, horseback riding lessons, other lessons?, costume fittings, annndd then filming.  She is in every scene, filming 12 + hours a day with weekends off, which more than likely a good part of that is spent learning lines and sleeping/resting I would imagine, with occasional munro bagging with some guy she met on OL, “magical evening walks” with some guy she met on OL (according to him), visits from across the globe friends – Donal, etc.  This is more than likely her schedule for SEVERAL months.  I believe I read somewhere that they were filming for 9 or 10 months originally, even if it were 6 months, then some time off, then promoting, then back to filming for 3 more months – that’s pretty much more than one year of her life devoted to OL.  During her time off she was in California (not the UK), going to Big Sur, hiking the LA Canyons with her sister and some guy she met while filming OL, hanging with her cat and friends, etc., just being HOME.  Then her and her costar are doing some heavy promoting during the summer, then back to filming in August (I believe?).

Okay, stay with me – Now we’re into the fall/end of year of 2014.  They wrap in October.  She’s in LA (@home) for Thanksgiving with her good friends – Simon, Karolina and others (have you seen the Thanksgiving photos on IG – she’s either exhausted, a bit drunk or not entirely happy or all three).  In December according to accounts she does a whirlwind trip to NY, Paris, Ireland (I do believe that’s all very doable btw).  Then in January 2015 her and her costar from OL are at People’s Choice Awards – in LA .  Also at this time she knows her ‘flat’ is on the market so she realizes she’s going to have to move, so does she stay in LA even though she’s rarely there anymore or uproot and move to Glasgow where she WORKS many months out of the year for OL?  Well, yeah.  

Now we’re moving into spring of 2015, she’s filming Money Monster for 3+ months I believe, has been doing photoshoots all over the place, quoted in some rag tag as having a civilian bf.  This is where I go WTF?  How in God’s name does she have a BF, let alone a ‘civilian’ BF with the crazy ass schedule she has had now for the last 2 years, where in the hell would she have found TIME to find and nurture a relationship with someone who has nothing to do with the industry?  Unless of course she has a twin, oohh that could explain SOO much… I’m going with that, yep, yep, I like that theory.

I love all their references to neurons and being smart when they plead their "case" in these long ass posts that say... nothing. I mean any lawyer and judge would throw this shit away at any hearing in seconds. They have nothing to sustain their beliefs but tons of ASSUMPTIONS.

The timeline it's pretty clear for anyone with understanding, a normal life, normal relationship and with no hearing or sight problems.

She had friends in America and they knew T in Glasgow. She was alone in Glasgow and her friends came visit her and introduced someone who actually lived there (T). So she had her work friends (SH) and her new circle she was building. He started appearing in her outings, first only as friends then they got officially together. You can actually watch the whole thing unfold in social media and in her interviews: from the moment she said she was single, then dating someone, then doesn't talk about her private life, then T being her +1 at events, then her thanking him in her acceptance speeches, then her friends, family and acquaintances naming T as her husband, the wedding, the marriage certificate, she speaking of her husband and son, she saying she wasn't with S, she saying her husband has known S since they started dating (that also fits the timeline perfectly)...

You need to be stupid to believe she only worked for a year and her social life was just SH.

“Yeah well, I guess it feels good to know that the shield is finally with the right person”. You gave him a nice smile and intended to say something else but someone was already calling out asking for their drink, you rolled your eyes playfully for Bucky and walked away.  

Safe to say that Bucky is way more interested in your company than the bar itself, that’s why he would come by almost everyday by the end of the night and stayed for as long as you would like. 

The bar was packed, more than usual, and Bucky pretended to ignore the fact that he was bothered by not having as much of your attention as he planned to. 

Given that between missions and your senior year in college plus all your work at the bar, sometimes visiting you while you moved around the crowded place was one of the only ways you two could spend some time together.

 “It won’t magically fill up you know?” Bucky  was so lost in his thoughts and distracted playing with the now empty beer bottle he didn’t even notice you brought him another one.

“You know I can’t get drunk right, doll?” he said with a playful smirk, “and why would I want to get you drunk?” you winked and went back to attending the other people in the bar as Bucky followed your movements with his eyes. 

He sees you quickly looking at your phone following the action by a frustrated sigh, and he immediately clenches his jaw. Your ass of a boyfriend was probably leading you on yet again on another Thursday night with some lame excuse. Bucky could not believe how poorly this man (boy) treated you. If only Bucky could have the chance to show you how you should properly be loved and cared for...

When you came back to where he stood you seemed even more annoyed.

 “Is everything okay, doll?”, you looked at him with an exhausted expression and a tension between your eyebrows, “yeah, just... can’t wait to finish up and go home, how long are you planning to stay?” Bucky furrowed his brows, were you tired of him? 

“Don’t know yet, why?” you shrugged and looked over your shoulder discreetly “that girl keeps checking you out and I don’t know, maybe you would like to take her home?” I actually would like to go home with you. Bucky could swear this suggestion was as painful to you as it was to him, but he knew that that was only his mind playing tricks with him.

 “I still don’t think I have a way with the ladies right now” your eyebrows rose in amusement and you tried to study his expression “Well, if anything, just tell her your arm vibrates”.  You winked and returned to your duties once again. Meanwhile, Bucky realized the heat in his cheeks thinking about what you said. It’s amazing how much power you had over him, as he imagined how you would react under his arms. 

How soft his right arm would be on your warm skin, how the friction between metal and warmth would drive you insane once his metal arm was touching you... He could see all the different ways that he could make you his, make you forget all the shit you go through everyday, make you feel unique and loved.

However, Bucky saw you seemed more upset and stressed out than usual so he decided to stay. He waited until you closed the bar and helped you sort everything out. You looked once again at your phone with a much worse look than before. 

“Doll what’s wrong?” he rarely asked you about your relationship, and always did good in pretending to ignore the frustrated looks you’d constantly give to your phone. 

You met his concerned eyes and saw all his attention in you, which makes your heart soften a little. You unlocked your phone and opened a conversation with one of your friends, showing it to Bucky with watered eyes. 

When he looked at the conversation from a few days ago he used all his self control to not shatter your phone or run down to haunt the man in the pics you showed him. There was a girl pressed against the wall of a club right between your boyfriends arms, and that girl was not you.

All the anger in Bucky’s eyes settled for worry when he looked at you. He held you in his arms and ran his fingers through your hair to calm the silent tears that were falling involuntarily from your face. 

“He’s an asshole and he never deserved you.” You nodded and continued to let yourself be taken care of by Bucky, “and just tell me the words so I can gladly kick his ass”. You laughed and that felt odd, but not surprising since Bucky always brought up the best in you. You had no idea how you two became such close friends, but you were glad to have him in your life. “Thanks Buck, you’re the best friend I could have right now ”. 

As Bucky walked home after taking you home the events of the night went over his head. He was a mess of nerves, angers, worries and sadness. He knew how much you needed a friend right now. He knew how you handled your own feelings and barely talked about it. He knew it was a big deal for you to show him what was going on. And yet the thought of showing you how much better he could treat you if you saw him beyond a friend wouldn’t leave his mind.

**Bucky’s lips were drawing your skin like it was meant to be there this whole time. It’s like his mouth was designed to know how to touch you in all the right spots. He would caress your skin and take such good care of you. His words were soft and yet you knew he was in control, and you loved being at his mercy. You were willing to let him do anything as long as his lips never left your body again.

Goosebumps were consuming you as he kept going lower and lower. His lips finally started to trace down your inner thighs as you whisper his name as an exasperated request. Bucky’s lips were wet and soft and hot at the same time. He smirked and finally went down to where you needed him most.**

Your heart was racing as your alarm made you jump scared instead of properly waking up. It took a while to remember where you were and what the hell was going on. You sighed when realizing you just had a dream with your best friend.

You decided to take a cool shower before starting your day, as the minutes you usually lay in bed before forcing yourself to wake up were effectively replaced with a very intense dream that led you to question all your life choices.

Your mind begins to wonder and you asked yourself if Bucky got the phone from that girl in the bar last night. You had a bothered look on your face even though you knew you should not be feeling like this.

And you shouldn’t be having these dreams as well, but it’s been so long since you’ve actually felt good.... It’s been so long since you had an orgasm. It almost felt natural to think of Bucky that way, as if the desire of having him between your legs have been there all this time just waiting for you to notice them. You shook the feeling out of your head - or at least tried to. 

You couldn’t help but think about the recent events of your life. You have been beyond busy and missed so many warning signs from your now past relationship. You left out a breath you didn’t know you were holding, biting your lips and thinking about your situation. 

You’re suddenly annoyed and wondering why the hell you stuck around in the relationship you were at. It wasn’t adding anything else to your life anymore, it wasn’t doing you any good and you were pretty sure the main reason your boyfriend has been so neglecting lately was because he was cheating on you. And you were right. Now you were a breakup hot mess drowning in work and college assignments barely making it through the days without stressing yourself out. 

As the caffeine started its magic and you were getting ready for the day, your boss texted you saying that you could have the day off. She would surely find a way to compensate for this miraculously free day you had but you wouldn’t complain. Today especially was a very much needed day for you to give yourself some tranquility. You got ready for your classes in a very comfy yet cute look that made you feel good and went out.

On your way to college you texted Bucky to see if he was available this afternoon. He was surprised to read about your day off and quickly answered back saying he would be free. You both agreed to meet at Central Park once you were done with classes. Your smile and excitement once again surprising you as your dream would not leave your mind. How would you face him? You had no idea but he was your best friend and one of the closest and greatest person in your life right now. Your frustration of a sex life would not be in the way of this friendship.

The classes went by rather quickly and you were catching up on your readings when Bucky met you at the park. The sun was starting to set and there was something about the sunset atmosphere and Bucky that made his features seem even more in evidence. You smiled and waved at him as he raised his brows and walked happily to where you were. 

“Hey doll, how’s the day been?” he seemed extremely relaxed and care-free as he tugged you in a warm hug, his cologne invading your senses and numbing you for a moment. You cleared your throat before answering him “It’s been weird” you frowned “I was called off work God knows why and I have been able to catch up on most of my readings for school so” you shrugged still surprised with how smooth things were. “So it’s been a good day?” his brows drew together in amusement, and you both started walking aimlessly through the park.

“Yeah it’s been good I guess, weird but peacefully good, what about yours?” his eyes were sparkled with excitement and he had a half smile illuminating his face “I’ve been good, I was watching that show you told me about when you texted me about your free day so, only good moments I guess” he winked as you studied his face and his genuine expression and you felt weird butterflies in your stomach — which you ignored.

“So how do you like Friends?” you poked him teasingly and he smiled “It’s a good show, Alpine and I have good laughs, but I don’t know I feel like it’s something that should be shared you know? I bet watching with someone would make it a hundred times better”. Bucky looked at you as if you should’ve read something between the lines.

You would usually take his words lightly and never question their meanings, but tonight was different. You could almost feel something in the air. god, don't remind me of the lack of fantasy aus in the fandom. i am suck a sucker for those (especially prince/stable boy AUs) and they have so much potential for byler but like... why is no one talking about them or writing them? ajshajsjahs since you're loaded with other works already, i only want to ask if you have specific ideas you'd generally want to see?

Weeellll.

I do have one idea that’s been sitting in the back of my mind for a while, actually. (And I’m halfway through typing this and it’s getting longer than I expected, so buckle up.)

It’s a fantasy AU (set in a Renaissance-esque world) wherein most people can use magic, and where “light magic vs dark magic” is the LGBT analogy. So, the majority of magic-users are “light magic” users, and by comparison only a small percentage are “dark magic” users, but there’s so much fear-mongering and misinformation and prejudice against dark magic that a) if you are a dark magic user, you’re likely to hide it away completely (be “in the closet”), and b) as a consequence, everyone else thinks that “dark magic users” are these incredibly rare, scary, malicious ~monsters~ that must be vigilantly protected against. There are all these (completely false, ridiculous) rumors about how if a dark magic user touches you, your light magic will get “infected” somehow and turn dark too, or how dark magic users use human blood in rituals (they don’t), or how dark magic is a perversion of light magic (it’s not, it’s just a different type of magic), etc. (And little do they know that some people can use both types of magic (the analogy for bi/pan people), and there’s like a whole spectrum of magic-wielding and it’s not binary like their society thinks, and etc. etc. you get it.)

Oh and one more worldbuilding detail: little kids might occasionally use magic by accident or instinct, but (somewhat like the Harry Potter world), you don’t really start to manifest your actual magical power until you’re like 13-16 - at which point it’ll start to manifest itself as “light” or “dark” or both or something in between, etc. (But they only think it’s gonna be light or dark, binary.) And obviously, everyone is expected to manifest light magic. Like, manifesting dark magic isn’t even considered as an option of something that might happen. (Like straight people being considered “the default” in our world.) Which makes it doubly likely for kids who manifest dark magic to panic and hide it away and do their very best to pretend they manifested light magic, because they know if they’re discovered they’ll be shunned or even thrown out of the kingdom.

AND NOW THAT I’VE DONE THAT INCREDIBLY LONG-WINDED BACKGROUND EXPLANATION, on to the byeler.

SO. The Party is the Party, in the kingdom of Hawkins or Hawk’s Landing or whatever it is. Will’s family is a little bit poorer, probably working-class, Mike’s family may be upper-class merchants or something, you get the idea. They’ve been best friends since they were little, they hang out a lot - maybe Joyce works as a maid or servant or something in the castle, and Mike’s parents are low-ranking nobles in court, so Mike and Will end up spending most of their time together through proximity even though they’re from slightly different social classes. IDK okay, I haven’t sussed out the details. Point being, they’re bffs, they’re in love but may not realize it yet and definitely haven’t admitted it, they’re like eeehhh 14 or 15 or something, right at the age where their magic should be manifesting any day now.

Bonus points if: Will, like his mother, works around the castle for a living, and he’s like a stable boy or something, and Mike is the noble’s son who’s kind of fed up with his parents’ snobbish lives.

And then, you guessed it - Will’s powers manifest. And it’s dark magic. And Will absolutely panics, because not only (see everything above), but his best friend is a light magic user - or so Will thinks. Little known to everyone, probably including Mike, Mike can use both light and dark magic (or if you wanna HC Mike as gay instead of bi, maybe Mike is a dark magic user in the closet, who knows). 

Cue some complication wherein Will is desperately trying to hide his magic for a while, and then somehow Mike ends up discovering it, and Will is convinced that Mike is gonna hate him for it - I don’t need to explain this all to you, you know how it goes. It’s the classic in-love-with-your-best-friend-but-in-the-closet-and-then-they-find-out story. We’ve seen it a thousand times, we love it, it’s prime byeler material, but THIS time not only is it gay but it’s Fantasy and there’s magic and swords and castles and all that, because YAY FANTASY AU.

-Ooohhh OOOHHH how about combining royal and soulmate AUs, actually, for: “I’m just a commoner but it turns out I’m your soulmate and you’re a noble/royal and it’s kind of a big scandal but now I guess I’m getting swept off to live in the castle with you???”

-Arranged marriage royal/noble AU perhaps? Esp good if there’s the good old-fashioned misunderstanding plot device wherein byeler is dating but maybe they both think that the other is just a commoner because they met when they snuck out of their respective castles/mansions to escape their lives for a while, and they’re actually arranged to be married to each other but don’t know it, and they’re both equally vehement that they’re not going to love their arranged partner and they’re not going to go through with the marriage until finally they actually officially meet and... uh... well hi there Will, my bf, or should I say, Will-who-I-never-knew-was-actually-William-the-First, Heir-to-my-rival-kingdom-and-my-betrothed.

Very quickly sorted into Gryffindor, although Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were both considered. 

Her Mom and Stepfather are Muggles, while her Dad is a Wizard. She lives with her Muggle family mostly, but she’ll write letters to her Dad from school to tell him how everything’s going. 

Excels at Flying and gets onto the Gryffindor Quidditch Team in her fourth year. (With her bf Lucas as her #1 fan, though they jokingly pretend he’s not because of the house rivalry.) She is also very good at Charms and Muggle Studies, but is pretty bad at Astronomy and despises Divination. 

Started hanging out with the Party in her second or third year, after she, Lucas and Dustin barely managed to avoid detention together while sneaking out late. But she also likes to hang out with her fellow Gryffindors, and is pretty close with her Quidditch team.

El Hopper

El was a Hatstall, definitely; she has traits of basically every house, and would do well in any of them. Eventually, though, the value she places on honestly and loyalty put her in Hufflepuff. 

Terry was a Muggleborn, and El doesn’t know who her biological Father is, so she is pretty sure she counts as Muggleborn. She doesn’t care much, though, because her older sister taught her how to curse bullies in the hallway and not get caught, and her friends would duel anyone who dared to pick on her. (Also, the fact her adoptive father is an Auror certainly helps her learn self-defense.)

El at first struggled with a lot of classes, but she ended up being extremely good at Transfiguration, Charms and Care of Magical Creatures, though her favorite class is DADA. She’s not very good at Potions, though, and she gets easily bored during History of Magic. 

Really only hangs out with the rest of the Party, as the rest of the students think she’s pretty weird. She likes to fly with Max, mostly studies with Lucas and Will, has shown Dustin how to sneak into the kitchens and get snacks from the House Elves, and she and Mike will stay up late in the Common Room talking until their Prefects come in and force them to go to bed. 

Her first pet was her common toad, which she named Frog specifically to piss off Dustin and Lucas. In sixth year, though, she bought herself a Pygmy Puff as well, named Eggo. 

Her patronus is a Phoenix, which she’s very proud of, as she’s been informed it’s a very rare form. 

Nancy Wheeler

Everyone assumed she’d be a Ravenclaw, but actually the Sorting Hat spent the most time deciding between Gryffindor and Slytherin before placing her in the latter, due to her ambition, determination, and drive for her own sense of justice. (And she definitely is the Slytherin Prefect in fifth year.) 

She and Mike come from Pureblood families, and she’s actually in the same house as her Mother. 

She excels in all of her classes, but especially DADA and Potions. If she had to pick a “worst” class, though, she didn’t do great in Care of Magical Creatures, and she never took Divination because she is convinced it’s all “complete bullshit.”

At first she really only associated with the other kids in her house, specifically her dormmate Carol. However, she eventually befriended Barb and Steve, and around fifth year she became very good friends with Jonathan, and started dating him in seventh year. 

She has a grey tabby cat named Ash. Ash hates basically everyone except Nancy (and for some reason, El) and has scratched more people than Nancy bothered to count. 

Her patronus is a tiger. (I know I gave that to Bev but for some reason I can really see Nancy with a tiger?)

Kali Prasad

Definitely a Slytherin, though her “where’s the fun if there’s no risk” attitude almost got her in Gryffindor; eventually, her resourcefulness and loyalty to her family won out. 

Never met her parents, and hasn’t bothered to find out whether or not she’s Muggleborn or not. She honestly couldn’t care less, and thinks the whole Blood Debate is ridiculous. 

Adores Defense Against the Dark Arts, and would honestly spend all her time in that class if she had a choice; she also likes Potions. She’s not very good at History of Magic or Astronomy, though, as she has trouble paying attention to things that don’t immediately interest her. (And since she finds Quidditch boring, she skips going to matches and spends her time practicing spells.) 

She at first didn’t make many friends her own age, as she’d mainly spend her time begging the older students to teach her more complicated spells, but she eventually befriended her dormmate Nancy and some other “outcast” students, like Mick, Axel, Dottie and Funshine. 

Her first few years, she didn’t have a pet, but eventually after El dragged her to a million different pet stores, she fell in love with a pitch-black cat, who she named Nebula. 

Her patronus is 100% a wolf.

Joyce Byers

tbh I go back-and-forth on what Hogwarts House I like for Joyce, but right now I’ll say I really like her getting sorted into Slytherin; her undying loyalty to her family is both a Hufflepuff and a Slytherin trait, but add into it her resourcefulness and determination and she would probably end up with the Snakes. 

Joyce was a Muggleborn, which didn’t gain her many friends among the Purebloods in her house. 

She was really good at Charms and Transfiguration while she was at school, though she wasn’t great at Potions (she kept somehow finding a way to blow up her mixtures), and she tended to skip History of Magic to practice spells with Hopper. 

While she befriended her dormmate Karen, she spent most of her time with the Gryffindors her age, as they were the ones who were breaking rules and having fun (like jumping off the Astronomy tower to see if their cushioning spells would work, or stealing the Hufflepuff Quidditch team’s brooms to see how far they could get). She and Hopper snuck off into the Forbidden Forest multiple times (and only got caught once). 

She adopted a tawny owl in her second year, who managed to live until Will was a toddler. When Jonathan went to Hogwarts, he adopted an owl so he and Joyce could still send letters back-and-forth. 

Her patronus is a Polar Bear. 

Barb Holland

Barb was placed in Ravenclaw pretty quick; she was pretty witty and intelligent, and placed a lot of value in cleverness. 

Definitely a Muggleborn, and sometimes she was nervous that Nancy would stop hanging out with her due to this; Nancy assured her multiple times that nobody who mattered actually cared where her magic came from, so long as she was a good witch. 

Very good at History of Magic and Potions, and surprisingly Herbology, though she’s not very good at Charms, and she hates Flying. She actually really enjoyed Divination, and likes to joke about how much Nancy hates it. 

Spent most of her time with Nancy, though she was also on great terms with the rest of her house, mostly because she was one of the few who cared enough about house points to do her homework, instead of running off to study “more interesting things” (although she’s definitely done that). 

Barb actually had a ginger cat, Amber, before she even got her Hogwarts letter, and she brought her along with her. Amber’s quite dumb and tends to run into walls and fall off of things, and Barb’s not quite sure whether or not it’s because she’s not magical or just an idiot. 

Her patronus is an Elk.

He was temporarily blinded once, which is what brought about his fear of the dark/not being able to see what’s around him; He was stabbed in one eye and the other got some fire in it while he was fighting something, they were healed with some magic but he kinda stopped fighting after that.

His favorite memory is finding and hatching a dragon egg! Baby Kleng was one of the most amazing things to happen to him since baby dragons are so rare, and also adorable.

What is the most expensive item of clothing you have ever bought and was it worth it? I honestly don’t know oh my god. Probably the suit (pants + blazer) I bought a few years ago and that’s still good and whenever I have to be dressed in a “serious and elegant” way that’s what I go for. So yeah it was worth it.

my highlights list of Owl City songs

maybe you’ve only heard like “fireflies” and you dont have shit taste and aren’t a coward and so you’ve always hoped i’d make a list of imo extra standout owl city songs; maybe i just wanted to make something like this list even though i didnt try that hard to cut it down and it would change every day and i dont think i dislike any of his songs and could give reasons why i especially like some element of pretty much each of them

Assuming Everyone’s Also Heard: VANILLA TWILIGHT (Ocean Eyes), GOOD TIME (The Midsummer Station) they’re both amazing. vanilla twilight is intense and good for when you’re looking at a nice sunset and feeling brave. shaq is in the music video. that carly rae jepsen and adam young happened to team up was a great move by whoever initiated it, and good time is iconic, and there’s a version where carly rae jepsen is also singing the chorus and its better but i dont really know how to search for it in particular because its otherwise identical

***HELLO SEATTLE*** (Ocean Eyes) this was on the radio too so it couldve gone in the above section but it needs its own. im not sure i’d say this is officially my favorite owl city song but if someone hadnt heard anything by owl city this is the one i’d choose to represent his entire vibe and be the first impression. and you’d think nobody could possibly remix it but adam young himself did and its fantastic and relatable even though the only lyrics are the occasional words “hello seattle.” technically the first version of this song is on the album “of june” and theyre both good but i like the ocean eyes version best

DESIGNER SKYLINE (Of June) the most upbeat song on the album probably. adam young is very very good at lyrics and some elements of this include his imagery, rhythm, alliteration, wordplay, and general ability to make the words in a song both euphonic in the sound along but also be very Pretty content wise. ok im most serious about how good he is with lyrics so maybe i’ll be more concise after this one

FUZZY BLUE LIGHTS (Of June) owl city songs aren’t depressing or even really Sad even when they’re sad (w/ some exceptions…cough silhouette) but they’re good if you are / have been a Sad Person Who Lives In Their Head because thats what a lot of the songs are about / the perspective theyre from. this one sounds like that and also like an overcast day

***IF MY HEART WAS A HOUSE*** (Ocean Eyes) the Best love song of the whole discography imo. it goes hard as fuck. i don’t date but for the duration of this song i have a gf/bf/nb-f

THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG (Ocean Eyes) one of the best and another one of the best love songs. im especially partial to the winter theme now o course. this super cool thing happens in the middle with amazing lyrics and this volume effect. the instrumental versions of this and if my heart was a house are also killer

ANGELS (All Things Bright And Beautiful) adam young loves jesus a whole lot; this song is about literal christian angels. i love the alliteration of the lines “in the dust on the cellar staircase / a pair of footprints followed me / i saw a flicker in the fake fireplace”. not many owl city songs are from both an upbeat perspective AND have upbeat music, and this one’s chorus really goes for it. adam y.’s pretty excited about jesus stuff i think and so when he channels that in songs especially about jesus, it’s pretty energetic. but for the most part his songs arent overtly christian save maybe some passing references, so if thats a concern dont worry

***GALAXIES*** (ATBAB) for example, this one definitely has a jesus line. but this is just one of the references to an unspecified “he” which means it could also just be interpreted as gay. (owl city belongs to the gays btw) and this really is a song to go ham to and listen to it with stereo speakers because one of my fave parts relies on that. the intro is a bit jarring because the outro of “january 28, 1986” is meant to transition into this one

DEMENTIA (The Midsummer Station) i’d put this as a highlight but recognize its coz its a personal fave. it sounds like it would be incredibly depressing of course but it has nothing to do with actual dementia thank god. it’s a love song and very upbeat in both sound and content. i’m hugely partial to the lyrics, especially the pairs “every light in the night flickered in and out / every bone in my back shivered up and down”; “every voice in my head shouted yes and no / every freight train of thought fought to stop and go”; “every tear in my eyes dripped and wouldn’t drop / every disc in my spine shook and couldn’t stop” and “every hand let me go that i tried to hold / every warm-hearted love left me freezing cold”

KISS ME BABE, IT’S CHRISTMAS TIME (single) he has a bunch of random christmas singles and this ones the best. the titles ridiculous and i love it, and the song isn’t really about anything and i love it. it is such a bop. “peppermint winter” and “humbug” are the other best xmas ones

SHOOTING STAR (Midsummer) half the songs on this album are summery dancey songs about having fun with other people (usually owl city songs are about being lonely or having fun with one other person tops by cloudwatching, so this album is unusual in that regard and rocks out a bit which is also unusual as per owl city’s tendency to sound really dreamy or otherwise fairly light. it bothers people who are in the “the old stuff is better” camp of everything) and the other half are upbeat summery songs that are encouraging and tell you you’re a good and special person. this one is the latter and a lot of fun. i like the lyrics and melody of the lines “fan a flame so hot it melts our hearts” and “let your colors burn and brightly burst / into a million sparks that all disperse / and illuminate a world that’ll try to bring you down” (but not this time)

GOLD (Midsummer) same category song as above (title refers to “i know you’re gold”). it’s great and sung to a person about to go off and do something and you’re telling them they can totally do it because they’re great. i maintain that one of the Owl City Signature Moves is The Affectionate Sigh: he’s very good at working in words sung with a rising/falling tone, a la a sigh, and its an upbeat delivery not like a “im sad” sigh. when it happens in this song is my favorite part of the whole thing, at the end of the line: “you’ll never be far, i’m keeping you near, inside of my heart, you’re he^re”

BEAUTIFUL TIMES (Ultraviolet EP) the songs on ultraviolet all have a super cool sound, kind of mixing the more loud/layered/noisy quality of midsummer station with the more introverted vibe he usually has, and are all kind of about being stressed and sad but looking to something or someone and kind of seeing a chance to feel okay. “this isn’t the end” is completely about a girl who’s dad kills himself but it has the really good line “you fight to survive cuz you made it this far” and otherwise has a technically uplifting end but without much of the “you shouldnt kill yourself because life is magical” bs which is useless and irrelevant imo but instead the “life is chaotic and you cant say the future is going to be good but it exists and meanwhile you’re not dead yet” which is an infinitely more thoughtful approach. but anyways, about beautiful times: its also about being happy but usually being really sad (“this fight of my life is so hard (so hard, so hard) but i’m gonna survive, oh oh these are beautiful times,”) and also isnt very patronizing about the subject (the prospect/aspiration of feeling happy when you’re a Sad Person) and frames everything in having had damagingly negative feelings while still being overall positive. i really like the way he sings into the first few verses with an echo of what will be the first couple of words, overlapping slightly and growing in volume before taking you right into the actual start of the verse. this is the most upbeat sounding song of the EP imo

THUNDERSTRUCK (Mobile Orchestra) the intro alone is killer. one of the most Go Hard to songs of the owl city discography. proudly carries the tradition of singing about ghosts (see: plant life, a fun-to-sing-along-to song all about an actual haunted house)

BACK HOME (Mo Orch) this album has a lot of sounds that, while familiar, are different from any of the other albums, like this one which is very very country. it goes hard as fuck. it uses the word “fireflies” for the first time since fireflies. i love it

CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT YOU (M.O.) personal fave of the album is mostly why this is here. as the title suggests its a dramatic love song, i love how pumped the chorus is and the way the outro sounds. Love To Sing Along

***WHEN CAN I SEE YOU AGAIN?*** this is peak “happy music, sad lyrics” even though thats everywhere in owl city music, its pretty rare to find songs that are straightforwardly happy. this song is a banger and lyrically crushing. i guess its in the “bittersweet” category like a shit ton of owl city songs are, but still. this song changed our lives

I HOPE YOU THINK OF ME has this sick chill drumbeat throughout the song which is kind of rare. it kind of fuses his underwater type sound with his going hard as hell sound. like, it would be like the choreography of “bet on it” if i was listening to this song while standing up. you get really into the lyrics. i love this part at the end where the music pulls back for just a second while he goes “the thought is KILLING me!” shoutout to “kamikaze” where he yells half of it and its invigorating, shoutout to “paper tigers” which is an amazing song that hasnt shown up on an album

SUNBURN (Ocean Eyes) possibly the cutest owl city song. it has a sweet guitar riff. cute sweet, not sickass sweet.

HOT AIR BALLOON (Ocean Eyes) possibly the happiest owl city song. extremely cute but not as cute as sunburn but happier than sunburn.

BEAUTIFUL MYSTERY killer intro, really upbeat, the melody of the verses is great and the chorus goes pretty hard

RAINBOW VEINS (Maybe I’m Dreaming) another top level cute and happy song (“cheer up and dry your damp eyes, and tell me when it rains, and i’ll blend up that rainbow above you, and shoot it through your veins”) and has a top tier chilled out whispery interlude/bridge/whatever that then throws you into this pumped up finale

THE YACHT CLUB (ATBAB) speaking of being thrown into a pumped up finale, this does that too. so does “umbrella beach.” this one goes hardest imo and the live version of it goes even harder than that. plus the lyrics are amazing and the alliteration is stellar

***SUPER HONEYMOON*** (Maybe I’m Dreaming) consistently one of my top tier faves. i like the semi staccato delivery of parts of the lyrics, the music is fantastic, also very Classic Example of owl city

MR. HEARTACHE (ft. Adam Young) a total bop about being sad. like i wanna jump around to this song. see: tokyo, the song by adam young (owl city) featuring the artists of this one, SEKAI NO OWARI, which has my fave lyric “are you having fun yet, i’ll send you the sunset, i love the most”

FIREFLIES (Said the Sky remix) the intro to this is like, oh my god. the only fireflies remix the world needs.

UMBRELLA BEACH (Long Lost Sun remix) the original is great but i love this version even more. the finale is fantastic and exuberant

So much so, that some fans suspect the pair may have broken up recently. Despite those rumors, the IRL Riverdale couple seems to sill be going strong and providing us with almost constant #relationshipgoals.

Lili just shared a video of her boyfriend, Cole Sprouse, getting a whole lot of attention from another lady. OK, to be fair, the other lady has a lot of fur and while she's a cute pup, she has nothing on Lili.

The Riverdale actress posted a video on her Instagram story that shows Cole getting his faced licked by an adorable dog, Pinky. "She thinks that you're Dylan," said someone in the background. "She does the same thing to Dylan."

In Pinky's defense, ever since Cole dyed his hair back to blonde, he does look A LOT like his twin brother. It was later revealed that Pinky was probably going after some of the barbecue chicken wings that Cole had previously indulged in. Either way, the video is so cute. Pinky is having the time of her life with Cole, and Lili is having the time of her life watching her bf get slobbered on.

Cole and Lili like to keep their private life, well, private. So, it isn't often that we hear about things like their dates...until now! That's right, Cole revealed to Glamour the most romantic thing he's ever done for Lili and, unsurprisingly, it's straight out of a movie.

"I took my [Lili] on a date where we drove to this location deep into Canada, and I surprised her with a big hot-air balloon adventure, which was quite a bit of fun," he told Glamour. "I like traveling quite a bit. I like road-tripping. Those grand experiences always end up yielding the greatest memories—and the greatest romances."

OK, um, imagine Lili's face when she saw that hot-air balloon. I'm sure that was the most magical date either of them have ever had. In the interview, Cole also mentioned that he's not a big movie date kind of guy, instead he prefers doing something more personal, like photography. Of course, we already knew that because he takes the most incredible photos of Lili.

MARCH 13, 2019

It didn't take long for Cole and Lili to realize their connection with each other.

"We legitimately could not stay away from one another," Cole revealed to the Los Angeles Times.

Even though the couple has been more public than ever, Cole says that fans shouldn't expect things to change, especially when it comes to things like his relationship with Lili.

"I’ve girded my private life very intentionally," he says. "It’s one of those things that I still sort of grapple with, and Lili and I grapple with."

Cole's new movie, Five Feet Apart, is almost here and Lili Reinhart was there to support her beau during the movie premiere. The Riverdale co-stars looked so cute as they posed together on the red carpet and even showed some super rare PDA.

We have concluded the last week of the regular season of the PDL. Let’s take a look at the final games before we head into playoffs.

This has been one incredible season with a roller-coaster of up and downs. I’m incredibly proud of how hard every team has played so far and how much teams have improved over the season. For those teams that made playoffs, congrats and good luck. May the hax forever be in your favor and may your focus blasts never miss.

Let’s cover some season statistics before we head into which teams made playoffs.

No surprise to anyone but the Rhyhorn Steakhouse was the hardest division with the most overall wins, yet they have the lowest seed out of the top team of each division. We also had 13 teams out of 24 have better than a 50% record at the end of the season, which only goes to show how powerful all the teams have become over the season.

I have dug deep into the math figured out who had the toughest schedule overall. To calculate that I looked at each team and added up all the wins of their opponents and after a close battle the team with the toughest overall schedule goes to: Miami Lanturns with an average of each team have 6.75 wins.

This has been a lot of fun to cover over the season and I want to congratulate Clod9 on picking the most matches correctly this season, but it isn’t over. This has been one crazy ride to playoffs as we had several teams waiting up until the last moment to know if they were going to be in or not. I want to congratulate everyone on what they have accomplished this season. I encourage everyone to take part in the Pickem’s for the Playoffs and root on your favorite teams in the All Star Game. Interview with Zcron

This week I’m joined by the shadow president of PUCL… the legendary ZCRON!

Clod9: Thank you Zcron for joining us this week. It has been a wild ride this season but let’s start at the beginning: how did you prepare for this draft?

Zcron: Preparing for a draft never goes as planned, so I didn’t prepare beyond knowing that my first pick would be Excadrill. The rest of the team just kind of adapted as the draft went.

C9: Has your team performed up to your standards so far?

ZN: My team has been surprisingly effective despite lacking a real defensive core. About halfway through the season I decided to toss a lot of my tank stuff and just go full-on offensive with a focus on hard-hitting priority users like Golisopod and Raikou.

C9: Congrats on making playoffs. You had a great run last year with a couple upsets to set yourself apart from the rest until hax was your ultimate defeat. How far do you think you will go this year, barring hax?

ZN: The plan is to make it to the final match and then finally whip out Mega Tyranitar. Or he/she may come out earlier. WHO KNOWS?! Bahahahaha

But yeah, any Pokemon player should always aim for number one. I HAVE THE POWER OF ARCEUS AND ANIME ON MY SIDE.

C9: If you win you will be playing me in the Quarterfinals. Do you think you can handle that?

ZN: I managed to beat you earlier in the season, though it was close. Should be a fun game!

C9: Let’s look back on the season who were you most excited to battle this season? ZN: h3nz and I had the misfortune of both trying the exact same strategy, so a face-off against him was highly anticipated, especially since he picked up the Gigalith I dropped early on. Unfortunately, we both expected the other to bring our sand setter, and neither did, so our match was a sand match with no sand. Top keks all around.

 C9: I noticed a brand change this season,why did you choose the team name, Pittsburg Piplups? ZN: The sole reason I picked this team name was to troll Thatch. No more questions at this time.

C9: Were there any secret techs that you brought for your matchups that you didn’t get to showcase? ZN: My team is very versatile in the held items they can all bring, so most of the change-ups are about which of my Pokemon has the Z Crystal in any given fight. Golisopod having Assault Vest ended up being crucial in my final match of the season, though Wishiwashi didn’t get a chance to Hydro Vortex its old teammate, Cinccino.

C9: Who would you say is the mon you are/were most excited to use on your team this year? ZN: Excadrill is just too freaking great to not have, but Wishiwashi and Raikou in draft league are honestly insane. Great coverage and bulk. Wishiwashi should not be a D-tier. Not by any stretch.

C9: You’ve had an impressive run to the playoffs so far, what would you say was the key to your success?

ZN: Predicting correctly and mitigating risk. Playing to your outs in every match, and thinking about games in the long term, rather than the short. I keep track of every battle and every move used play-by-play on a piece of paper. Keeping notes has paid off for me.

C9: You have been around PUCL for a while so let’s dive deep into how that all came about, when did you start listening to PUCL?

ZN: I think it was in 2012 or 2013 that I started listening due to the urgings of my irl friend Bocefus.

C9: How did you get promoted up through the ranks to blackthorn council?

ZN: I produced a whole lot of written content for PUCL when there wasn’t much there. Eventually, I was tasked with recruiting other writers to the site, and that’s how we ended up with several members of the core PUCL leadership including Whimsicott, Jushiro, and SublimeManic.

C9:What Pokemon generation did you start with?

ZN: 3rd Generation, Pokemon Sapphire version. I got it for my 7th or 8th birthday and it got me through a cross-country RV trek after my house burnt down in the California mountains.

C9: What is your favorite region?

ZN: Hoenn. Unova comes close, but the lazy, circular shape kicks it out of the running.

C9: Who is your favorite Pokemon?

ZN:. Toxapex, with Golbat as a close second.

C9: If you had to pick: Attack or Special Attack?

ZN: ATTACK. MY DRILL WILL BE THE ONE THAT BREAKS THROUGH THE HEAVENS.

C9: What is your battle style:  Stall/Hyper Offense/Bulky Offense/Balance?

ZN: Out of those options, Bulky Offense is probably the closest. I like to make teams that can easily switch out and have passive effects like Magic Bounce or Rocky Helmet.

C9: Do you prefer Speed or Trick Room?

ZN: Speed. Trick Room is rarely a problem for me since it’s highly visible in a team comp, and is entirely destroyed by a single Pokemon with Taunt.

C9: What is your favorite Weather; Hail/Sand/Rain or Sun?

ZN: Sand, because I am a member of the political faction known as the DESERT COMMUNISTS alongside VIGER

C9: Electric/Misty/Grassy or Psychic Terrain?

ZN: I hate all of them, but Electric is the one I hate the least.

C9: Favorite status to inflict: Sleep/Freeze/Paralysis/Burn or Poison?

ZN: Paralysis. A big part of my strategy last draft league was T-waving everything with Cresselia.

C9: Have you watched the Pokemon anime? If yes, what is your favorite Theme song?

ZN: I like the Pokemon Advanced Battle song Unbeatable. Mainly for nostalgia reasons.

C9: Will you be participating in the Summer League to collect badges this summer or any other pucl event?

ZN: I have attempted to do the summer league several times, but have bad luck making the scheduled times and haven’t transferred too many non draft league Pokemon to USUM. I will make time for some battles soon. I want that 2ds XL!
