I was listening to that song "Space is Cool" that a fan made with Markiplier videos (what can I say, the music is really good).

And it reminded me of Danny, who's also so very in love with space.

And now I'm getting a clear mental picture of Danny full-on GUSHING about Space, in a sort of Outside POV thing.

Like, a Danny who's going to Uni in somewhere like Gotham or Star City, and got into the Astronomy club. And their "recruitment video" is just the cute freshman who adores space and will take any chance he gets to gush about it.

There's a lot of shots zoomed in on his pupils doing the cat thing of going from slits to big pools of black (like a black hole at the center of a galaxy) and his freckles start glowing in constellation patterns.

They go on an outing to the nearest Observatory, make it a sleepover thing, and sleepy Danny stretches and howls like a star, flops onto the nearest classmate and Club Member, and starts purring whenever they pet him.

He may be a meta, but they'll be damned if anyone blabbers to Batman about it.

Cue one Conner Kent coming to Gotham to tour their University, to pick where he wants to go when it's his turn next year, and find himself sitting next to Danny when he goes off on a rant about some deep space scans that caught images of Krypton before the explosion.

When asked about his opinion on the Supers, Danny, who's gotten so used to casual affections being directed towards him in the form of head scratches and hugs (they make Danny purr and light up in all kinds of patterns, so the club members do it as often as they can), pats him on the head and quietly praises Superboy for all the important work he does, and how his cloned little sister has always seen him as a mark that being a clone means nothing in the grand scheme of things, and it's who you are that counts.

Conner goes back to his parents in happy tears and with an invitation to attend Gotham U if he so chooses.

sorry im about to vent off topic :i s2g if they hint on handsome jack in the movie and it is NOT dameon clarke im gonna lose my marbles. I feel like when they look at the success of the characters as well the VAs do so much heavy lifting to giving life to these characters. why they didnt just use the VA for Claptrap from B3 is beyond me why did it need to be someone else so it doesnt even sound right - they def went for name recongition over matching the characters - kevin hart is so tiny hes such a small dude and roland is large and also if roland is alive wouldnt thta imply that jack's also alive. like handsome jack is so successful because of dameon. he gave so many off the cuff lines. and if they wnated to make a movie why would they not choose the tales gang if thats the one that gave them so much credit? sorry i have so many feelings and i, also so SICK of seeing tiny tina bein g used for literally every borderlands merch thing recently

I'm fine with actors putting their own spin on characters they play and seeing how their writing can be interpreted differently but with handsome jack it becomes really tricky cause like... dameon clarke MADE jack who he is. Like a lot of people credit him for how good of a character he is so whoever WOULD play jack would have a whole lot of expectations to match. We already hate the casting (which is 100% just to get attention instead of accurately portraying the characters) so imagine how much more we would hate it if they messed jack up

Overall the whole movie just adds to what I said about gbox being out of touch with the fandom. We got randy already claiming he wants to make a sequel when the whole fanbase has voiced concern and disinterest about the movie just based on the trailers and they're just really trying to force lilith and tina to be fan favorites when they're... not? Like I love them, especially lilith like that's my homegirl right there, but the fandom as a whole would disagree that they're even well-liked characters

      it    was    as    if    the    sun    had    risen    on    the    supers    expression    -    his    smile    blinding    onlookers    who    found    themselves    at    home    in    the    dark. his    unspoken    desire    to    be    kind    to    everyone    no    matter    the    cause    sure    was    infectious    to    even    the    most    brooding. but,    clark    knew    it    was    no    superman    influence    that    bent    the    beams    of    jason. it    was    simply    a    nephew    that    had    a    soft    spot    for    an    uncle. (    at    least... this    is    what    clark    imagined    in    his    head    ). everyone    should    know    that    the    superman    was    unshakable. as    soon    as    he    set    his    sights    on    any    forlorn,    stubborn,    broody    drifter    there    wasn't    too    much    that    could    be    done    aside    from    let    clark    run    his    course.

      but,    it'd    be    a    lie    if    there    wasn't    some    nuance    to    how    clark    saw    jason. how    happy    he    was    to    see    him    despite    it    all. . . [    go    whatever    extremities    life    has    pushed    you    to    jason,    but    it    wont    stop    me    from    checking    in. ]. one    could    lament    over    many    things    here. the    loss    of    a    boy. the    embrace    if    killing. becoming    something    one    was    pushed    to    be. however,    clark    was    almost    nearly    blind    to    the    worst    of    things. he    saw    the    best    of    the    world. even    if    it    doesn't    exist    before    him. to    clark,    jason    was    still    someone    to    hold    onto    and    not    leave    behind. he    deserved    to    be    remembered    at    the    very    least.

Been thinking so much about Marigold specifically in the ORP universe so I’m obligated to come make a whole post to explain some of my thoughts.

I don’t knowwww I just think a lot about how Maverick was. Very clearly loved by this woman. Like they still carry that love with them in little ways, they’ve been marked by it forever you know? Like she was not their mother, and their relationship was very non conventional but she was like. As Good As a mother to them. I think she saw herself like a mother even if Mav never saw her that way. It kills me because their relationship in ORP is honestly much less complicated and a lot better than it is in canon. Marigold is like… well tbh I can’t get into it because spoilers but she is very morally questionable and kinda fucked up but like her care for Mav is still very much there.

I wouldn’t be able to say for sure but I honestly don’t think it’s out of the question that in ORP she died getting in the way of The Dread and trying to give Mav the best chance possible at running. But like MAV DOESN’T KNOW THAT and it’s fucked them up so badly. Because they never looked back, man. They just ran immediately and even if it’s what she would’ve wanted them to do they just fully believe they left her for dead.

Like. Ok. Atp Mav is just of the mindset of like. That loss hurt so badly because what do you do when you’ve got nobody else and the one person in the world that loves you like family dies and you think it’s your fault, you know? But they’ve just got this anger about the whole situation. Angry at themself but also angry at her because if she hadn’t died they’d still have somebody. It’s just really soured their whole perception of her isn’t that nuts. As if she did it on purpose. (THE THING IS SHE KINDA DID OUT OF LOVE AND THEY DON’T KNOWWWW THEY DON’T EVEN KNOWWW) and now all of those feelings have just been reinforced x100 being with the Brooks family because they don’t have that. And maybe they would if Marigold were still alive.

I love Clark because you look at him all red aesthetic and nice suits and not a hair out of place and as intj as they come and you're first instinct is to call bullshit because no one is ACTUALLY like that

but then he's, well, a guy who screams RED and wears his nice suits really well and walks the walk and talks the talk and oh my god no that's just how he is for real....

but then you get even somewhat close and you realize this man is an inFj, he eats frozen junk food when he's not around anyone, he's a GREEN aes man, he's so mushy gushy emotional he's made it a point to see that part of himself as a risk, and just exists in comfy sweaters and hoodies when he's alone and you're like oh my god it was bullshit
