"I told you not to eat that mushroom," Eshonai said to Reprimand, but she made sure to say it with a smile. She sat beside her girlfriend, wiping her sweaty forehead with a cool cloth.

"It looked just like the one you said was okay!" Vivenna pouted. "Oh no, I might throw up again!"

"I think foraging is officially off our list of things to do on dates," Eshonai said, passing her a clean bucket. The one Vivenna had eaten was only mildly poisonous, so it was just a matter of waiting out the effects.

Vivenna's eyes crossed a little, but she didn't puke. Instead she seemed to get distracted, looking down at Eshonai's arm.

"What?"

"Did your marbling always move?"

Eshonai hummed to Amusement. "It didn't, and it still doesn't."

Vivenna tapped Eshonai's arm, then started tracing the marbling with a finger. "No see? It's going oooover here. Hee hee!"

Eshonai attuned Peace. It was going to be a long ten hours, but she'd be there to make sure Vivenna had a good time.

"Vivenna, is your hair turning multicolored?" Eshonai teased. She touched the Royal Locks, which were, of course, their usual happy blonde.

"What? I didn't know it could do that!" Vivenna exclaimed. She pulled some hair in front of her face. "Whoa. That's a lot of colours!"

Eshonai laughed to Amusement. This could still be their most fun date yet.

I've been thinking and realised that the characters I relate to most in the cosmere are Vivenna, Elhokar, Eshonai and Painter. It sure says something about me and I am not sure I like it.

If Non-Scadrial Characters Had Metallurgic Powers...

Let’s say non-Scadrial characters had the metallic arts. And let’s say I, the blogger, worked really hard to match all of the powers to a suitable character, even the kind of useless ones! Who get want which power?

[Note: I skipped the lerasium & malatium, whose feruchemcial powers aren’t known. Also, this list is already ridiculously long.]

1. Allomantic Iron (pulls on nearby metals): Kaladin

Kaladin: I will always choose the power that allows me to fly.

Kaladin: And this sounds like my power, only I’d be using metals not gravitational pull as my anchor!

2. Feruchemical Iron (stores physical weight): Lopen

Lopen: I just think it would be hilarious to be like, “Hey, bet you a broam that you can’t pick me up!”

Kaladin: You’d be rich in no time.

Lopen: Rich and the funniest guy on Roshar!

3. Allomantic Steel (pushes on nearby metals): Moash

Moash: You can fly with steel too.

Moash: You can also kill rich people with money.

Kelsier: ...

Kelsier: Be still my heart.

4. Feruchemical Steel (stores physical speed): Lightsong

Lightsong: I’m not going to lie, I mostly want this so that Scoot can’t say anything when I’m being lazy.

Lightsong: “Oh Scoot, don’t be mad; I’m just filling my steelmind!” I’ll say. “I’ll work so much more efficiently if I’m lazy for a few more days!”

Llarimar: I never reprimand you. You are a god.

Lightsong: I see it in your eyes, Scoot!

5. Allomantic Pewter (increases physical abilities): Vivenna

Vivenna: When I had to give up my Breath live on the streets, it was horrible.

Vivenna: I was so vulnerable. So powerless.

Vivenna: I never want to feel that way again.

6. Feruchemical Pewter (stores physical strength): Renarin 

Renarin: I’m used to feeling momentarily weak.

Renarin: I don’t think the filling part would bother me.

Renarin: And when I tapped it, I could finally hulk out and rush into fights totally unprepared!

Renarin: Man, that would be great.

7. Allomantic Tin (increases senses): Sarene

Sarene: Well, eavesdropping and gathering political intel would be much easier.

Sarene: I could listen to someone across the room and then later reveal what I know and pretend that I have an amazing spy network. 

Ashe: Terrifying, mistress.

Sarene: Thank you.

8. Feruchemical Tin (stores senses): Rock

Rock: I could increase my sense of taste while cooking, making even better stews!

Rock: And I could dull my sense of taste when eating lowlander food, ha!

9. Allomantic Zinc (inflames emotions): Blushweaver 

Blushweaver: I mean...it’s not like I really need help rioting emotions!

Blushweaver: But it sure would be fun!

10. Feruchemical Zinc (Stores Mental speed): Taravangian

Taravangian: Feruchemical zinc sounds a lot like my...curse. 

Taravangian: Only I could control when I’m smart and when I’m stupid!

Taravangian: And no blasted emotions either!

Blushweaver: At least not until I get through with you. <3

11. Allomantic Brass (soothes emotions): Siri

Siri: Politics would be so much easier if you could just calm people down!

Siri: Plus, I bet Susebron would love to be Soothed to sleep.

Susebron: Being around you soothes me already.

Siri: And I’m about to turn that up to 11!

12. Feruchemical Brass (stores warmth): Evi

Evi: You can store your temperature to keep cool, or release it to keep warm.

Evi: You’d be at your ideal temperature all the time--isn’t that neat?

Evi: Huh. It gives me fire resistance too, appararently.

Evi: Not that that’ll ever come up!

13. Allomantic Copper (hides allomantic pulses): Venli

Venli: Listen, when I was becoming a Radiant while also working for the Fused, I would have KILLED to have been able to hide my powers.

14. Feruchemical Copper (stores memories): Sigzil

Sigzil: This would be incredibly useful for a Worldsinger. 

Sazed: You and I should be friends.

15. Allomantic Bronze (can hear allomantic pulses): Szeth

Szeth: If someone tried to magically attack Dalinar, I would know.

Szeth: And perhaps the constant hum of people using powers around me would drown out the screams I otherwise constantly hear.

Kaladin: Is that how it works? 

Szeth: Probably not--I don’t experience good things.

16. Feruchemical Bronze (stores wakefulness): Jasnah

Jasnah: When I am truly engrossed in my topic of study, having to stop to sleep is an...inconvenience.

Jasnah: How wonderful to get your sleeping all out of the way at once, to be stored for future use.

17. Allomantic Duralumin (enhances current metal burned): Hrathen

Hrathen: All power not from Shu-Dereth is blasphemy, of course.

Hrathen: I’ll take the power that burns itself out to no purpose, symbolic of the futility of straying from the one true religion.

Dilaf: And it might make your power stronger! I hear it works on other types of Investiture!

Hrathern: Clearly I am rewarded for my faith. 

18. Feruchemical Duralumin (stores Connection): Eshonai

Eshonai: This helps you connect with people and even communicate with them!

Eshonai: I’d get to explore so many places so easily with this!

19. Allomantic Aluminum (wipes internal allomantic reserves): Silence

Silence: People on Scadrial may think this is useless, but a metal that can negate Withering?

Silence: I’d give my arm for that.

20. Feruchemical aluminum (stores Identity): Shai

Shai: Storing Identity makes Forgery easier.

Shai: And I kind of like the idea of being able to store my Self safely away when I need to.

Silence: Some of these powers seem wasted on the Scadrial folk.

Shai: No kidding!

21. Allomantic Nicrosil (enhances allomantic burn of target): Dalinar

Dalinar: I no longer engage in combat myself.

Dalinar: I am a Dalinar Battery, restoring Stormlight to my men.

Dalinar: This seems somewhat similar to that.

22. Feruchemical Nicrosil (stores Investiture): Navani

Navani: I don’t entirely understand it, but it sounds like a researcher’s dream!

Navani: I could store my ability to use feruchemny, let others tap it and fill their own metalminds, and then I’d have a huge store of different investitures to study!

Raboniel: If anyone is going to learn how to kill a god, it’s you.

Navani: That’s so sweet!

23. Allomantic Chromium (wipes allomantic reserves of target): Lezian

Lezian: I’d like to see Kaladin escape me if I could erase his powers at a touch!

Lewshi: Didn’t you literally try that and he killed you anyway?

Lezian: Shut UP, Lewshi!

24. Feruchemical Chromium (stores Fortune): Tress

Tress: Apparently this power basically lets you be where you need to be.

Tress: That sounds pretty nice when you’re sailing around a sea that’s actively trying to kill you!

Charlie: Maybe it will lead you to new cups.

Tress: (gasps) Maybe it will!

25. Allomantic Gold (reveals past self): Vasher

Vasher: Guess I’m just wondering if I’d be able to meet whoever I was before I Returned.

Vasher: Probably not, though.

26. Feruchemical Gold (stores Health): Raoden

Roaden: Not that I was traumatized by Elantris, ha ha!

Roaden: Where no injury could heal, and where a stubbed toe’s endless, biting pain could drive anyone mad...

Raoden: But it, uh, sure would be nice to have some health stored up!

27. Allomantic Electrum (reveals future self): Sixth of Dusk

Sixth of Dusk: Sak already shows me places where I might die.

Sixth of Dusk: Might be nice to get some non-death related future-info as well.

Sixth of Dusk: Anything to help me survive Patji.

28. Feruchemical Electrum (stores Determination): Elhokar

Elhokar: Imagine! All the time I spend feeling depressed about being a bad and useless king? Bam! I’m just filling my metalmind!

Elhokar: And then I tap it and become a strong, determined king!

Dalinar: The wiki description says you become “manic.”

Elhokar: Listen, I’ll take what I can get.

29. Allomantic Cadmium (slows down time): Sebarial

Sebarial: Makes everything outside my bubble seem to move super fast, right?

Sebarial: Not gonna lie.

Sebarial: I’m using this to fast-forward through all high prince meetings.

30. Feruchemical Cadmium (stores breath): Shallan

Shallan: Being able to store breath so you don’t need to breathe at all later? Huge for a natural scientist!

Shallan: I could explore under the ocean with no silly helmet! 

Shallan: I could go up into the mountains where the air is thin!

Shallan: I could hide inside my illusions of rocks or doorways without my breathing getting in the way!

Shallan: So many options!

31. Allomantic Bendaloy (speeds up time): Lirin

Lirin: The potential medical uses!

Lirin: If I created a bubble around just myself and, say, the patient’s arm, then I could take care of that quickly before the leg bled out too much.

Lirin: Perhaps I would finally be useful again in this world of Radiants!

32. Feruchemcial Bendaloy (stores Energy): Kenton

Kenton: You eat & drink a lot when you have access, and store away that food & water in a metalmind where it can’t be metabolized or evaporated until you need it?

Kenton: That would change the game for sand mastery!

33. Allomantic Atium (see into others’ futures): Adolin

Adolin: Listen, I know it would be cheating to use this in a formal duel.

Adolin: But on the battlefield, when you’re fighting for your life?

Adolin: Yeah, having atium would be awesome!

34. Feruchemical Atium (stores youth): Lift

Lift: Then I could always be the little girl my mom could recognize--at least sometimes.

Wyndle: T-That’s kind of a sad note to end on, Mistress!

Lift: I can’t talk about butts ALL the time.

Vivenna/Eshonai, rated Mature, 300 words

Vivenna didn't need a mirror to know her hair was a bright, fiery red as she lay in bed, her lover pressed close to her side.

"This?" Eshonai asked, humming what sounded like the Rhythm of Curiosity, a soft finger tracing an off-colored spot under Vivenna's right breast.

Somehow, after an evening spent driving each other to the very edges of passion, Eshonai had used this opportunity when they were naked together to study every inch of Vivenna's body. Even in mateform, she's an explorer, Vivenna though, mouth curling into a satisfied smile. "Birthmark."

"You were... marked from your birth? Was there a mishap?" Her finger shied away from the miscolored patch of skin, as though touching it could hurt Vivenna gravely.

With a husky laugh, Vivenna waved away the idea. "It's nothing like that. Just something some humans are born with. Now, my youngest sister, she had some complications, but that's a whole different story." She tried not to let the memory of her father, scared out of his mind, of her mother, bloody in the birthing bed, ruin her good mood.

"From what you've told me of her, I am far from surprised," Eshonai responded, tracing her finger down, over Vivenna's stomach (which at the moment was far less abundant than Eshonai's), stopping at a thick, raised line on her hip. "Little sisters... they can be trouble incarnate. What is this one?"

"A scar," Vivenna answered easily, not even attempting to hide the fluttering glee that Eshonai's touch built up on her. "On my way to Roshar, we were jumped in a mountain pass. I was asleep at the time, ill prepared, got a dagger stuck down to the bone. It healed well enough, but left a nasty reminder."

Leaning down, Eshonai pressed her lips to the scar, and the sheer proximity to certain other parts of her made Vivenna squirm. "I like your scars. Your marks. A private pattern, known only to those you trust." Eshonai was humming the Rhythm of Joy, even as she turned her mouth to another task.

Yes, Vivenna enjoyed that Eshonai was an explorer. Let her discover as much as she could.

Brandon Sanderson coming to the correct conclusion that Mistborn had too many male characters in it, and fixing his error by giving us Shallan, Siri, Vivenna, Steris, Marasi, Jasnah, Venli, Navani, Tress, Yumi, Akane, Eshonai, Sylphrena, Lift, Cord, Rysn, accidentally writing Navaniel, and correctly having MeLaan dump Wayne and Jasnah dump Hoid.

Books 4-10 

They will feature flashbacks (in order) of Eshonai & Venli, Szeth, Lift, Renarin, Ash, Taln, and, finally, Jasnah.

There will be a timeskip of approximately 15 years between books 5 and 6.

Stormlight Novellas

Wandersail, a Rysn novella set between Oathbringer and Rhythm of War.

Horneater, a novella about Lunamor, the Unkalaki also known as Rock. It is set post-Oathbringer, involving him returning to his homeland.

An untitled Lopen Novella set between The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance.

Mistborn 

The Lost Metal, the final Wax and Wayne novel. 

Mistborn Era 3 trilogy

Takes place in an urban setting with a 1980's technology level and is like a Cold War era spy thriller. 

Mistborn Era 4 trilogy

A space opera, with interplanetary travel. Hoid will be a main character in this Era.

Dragonsteel

A series of books that will only be written after Stormlight Archive is completed. The number of installments has changed over time but it was recently stated to be three books.

The Liar of Partinel/The Lightweaver of Rens feature Hoid's origin story and will be fitted into the Dragonsteel trilogy. 

Elantris trilogy

Elantris 2 takes place ten years later and follows Sarene’s cousin’s Kaise, Daorn, and Adien as ambassadors to Fjorden.

Elantris 3 will conclude the Elantris trilogy. It will likely feature a different trio of protagonists.

Nightblood

Nightblood will be a Warbreaker sequel. It will feature Vasher and Vivenna facing off against Yesteel.

The Silence Divine

A novella set on Ashyn in the Rosharan system, where diseases grant magical abilities.

Aether of Night

A trilogy that retains the location in the cosmere and the magic system from Brandon's unpublished tenth novel. All else will be different because various elements of the original were cannibalized for his other works (e.g. Decay becoming Ruin). 

The Dust Brigade

A novel set on Threnody. 

It was originally planned to be the story of the people who fled to the Forests of Hell after the Evil destroyed their Homeland. 

He has since considered changing the story to that of an expedition being sent back to rid the Homeland of the Evil. 

'It doesn't go well for them. Opening scene is all ships sinking and people washing up on shore.’

Silverlight 

A novella starring the Khriss in the Cognitive Realm. 

Sixth of the Dusk 

A sequel novella about Sixth exploring the Cognitive realm.

Day 21: Fantasy

“Curiosity, Resolve, Surprise,” Azure mused as she lay atop her wife. “I think that’s my new favourite combination.”

Eshonai ran her fingers through Azure’s hair, which had turned orange-red. “I can tell. I got the Rhythm of Victory out of you,” she murmured to Amusement, which Azure felt as both a pulse of vibration and a friendly yellow. After they'd worldhopped to Nalthis, something wonderful had happened between them. When Eshonai spoke to Rhythms, Azure experienced them as sound and colour at the same time. Eshonai said the same about the colour of Azure’s royal locks, that she experienced them as Rhythms.

So far, it had been a spectacular honeymoon.

Azure hummed in pleasure, nuzzling her wife's chest and hugging her close. I could almost fall asleep here, warmed by the sunlight...Then she caught the angle of sunlight as it hit the inside of the carriage. It was a deeper angle now, no longer touching their makeshift bed, made of the two carriage benches pressed together. 

“Oh colours! We’re nearly there!” 

She sat up and scrambled off Eshonai. She cleaned them up the best she could, then started throwing on clothes as she peeked out the window. “Don’t look yet,” she warned her wife.

Eshonai pointedly looked down, busying herself with getting dressed. Azure caught a drift of pale orange sound as she buckled her belt, and she couldn’t tell whether the anxiety was hers or Eshonai’s. It had been at least a hundred years since she’d been on Nalthis, let alone anywhere near Idris itself. She was half-surprised the kingdom was still standing; she had been fully befuddled by the fact that the main road was now solidly built and well maintained. 

“Is this what you wanted?” Eshonai asked her to Amusement. She'd covered her eyes with one of her sashes.

“Yes, that’s perfect,” Azure grinned, then turned and knocked sharply on the wall of the carriage. “Stop here!” she called out.

Slowly, they came to a stop, and by the time the coachman opened the door for them, they were ready. Azure went first, then took Eshonai by both hands and carefully led her down the steps to the ground, where Eshonai wrapped an arm around Azure’s back.

They took a few steps forward into the lush summer grass, dotted with purple and white flowers. The smell of the wind made Azure feel young and hopelessly naive. She breathed slowly, taking in the view of Bevalis, the capital city of Idris. 

It was as she remembered, a small city of thatched, single story buildings nestled in the centre of the valley. She could pick out the palace even at this great distance; it was still easily the largest building. She was surprised to see that the buildings were not all painted white; spots of colour dotted the city here and there. The sight made her smile.

“Well, oncemate? Can I look yet, or does Idris need to put its clothes on, too?” Eshonai joked.

Azure snapped out of her reverie. “Yes! Yes I think Idris is ready for you to see it. Here it is, the place where I spent my childhood.” 

She lifted the cloth from Eshonai’s eyes, and Eshonai gasped, looking up, down, slowly spinning, trying to see everything at once.

“Everything is so green!” she exclaimed to Joy. “And the fields are massive! Storms, the mountains are huge! Is that snow? How can they be green and snowy at the same time? Are there two different seasons happening at once?”

“Kind of,” Azure said thoughtfully, but Eshonai kept rambling, stepping forward and pointing.

“How does your city survive at the bottom of the mountains like that? Don’t the rains wash it out with every storm? Or do you not have storms here?”

“Not like Roshar.”

Eshonai looked up and breathed deeply, smelling the wind, and then she looked down, brushing the grass with her foot. “The plants here are so tame. I want to kick them,” she said to Joy.

Azure laughed. Eshonai’s curiosity, and her joy, were infectious. She could tell her hair was turning a scandalous yellow, and she didn't care one bit.

“I’ve got something even better,” she said, grinning at her wife. “We’ll pick them. Let me show you how to make a bouquet. It'll be almost as beautiful as you.”

Eshonai hummed to Joy, and Azure wondered how she could be so lucky, to find a woman who made everything yellow.

Me being me, I've created a bunch of randomly generated prompts to consider how Cosmere characters might react to them.

1. The Prompt: "Venli couldn't stand Palona at first, but then..."

Venli: [Looks expectantly at Palona] Venli: Well? What about you is going to win me over? Palona: Hmmm...well, there was a time my partner and I had a literal picnic during the onset of the world's first Everstorm--on the Shattered Plains. You know, the very place where the two storms were crashing into each other. Venli: ... Venli: Dammit, that IS really hot...

2. The Prompt: "If Shallan keeps looking so maladroit I'm going to end up scrying her," Tindwyl whispered to herself."

Shallan: [scoffs] "Maladroit"? I've never been maladroit in my life! Tindwyl: [calmly holds up a screenshot of Shallan sprawled out on the floor with her underwear showing] Shallan: T-That was on purpose! Tindwyl: Mmm-hmmm.

3. The Prompt: "Can't you be normal about Hesina for five minutes?" Jasnah growled at Palona.

Hesina: Oooh, so in this story, the Alethi Queen and Urithiru's economic powerhouse are fighting over me?? Hesina: What happens next?? Jasnah [who had been about to criticize the implication that she would tell any woman to be "normal"]: Well... Palona [who had been about to criticize the implication that she'd let any situation devolve to the point of growling]: Uh... Jasnah: Perhaps...Palona starts to expound on your virtues? Palona: Y-Yes, the words, "How COULD I be normal about such a woman" are surely coming next. Hesina: [eyes sparking]

4. The Prompt: "Watching Akane and Yumi kiss made the Midnight Mother feel so mean!"

Akane: The Midnight Mother...is homophobic? Yumi: W-We should make out harder to show her the error of her ways!

5. The Prompt: "Cord and Rysn were constantly trying to pinch each other, until something changed…"

Rysn: [Looks at Cord] Cord: [Looks at Rysn] Rysn: [Imagining sloppy make-outs] Cord: [Imagining her defending Rysn from a sudden pirate attack after which she leaps to safety with Rysn in her arms] Rysn: C-Can you imagine... Cord: H-Ha, yeah...

6. The Prompt: "Sylphrena nodded, looking over her plans. 'The only way to stay on the Wind's Pleasure is to break up Cord and Rysn,' she announced."

Cord: Uh, wow. Rysn: Dishonor Spren, more like. Syl: I-I'm sure it's one of those stories where you'd end up getting back together!!!

7. The Prompt: Eshonai and Vivenna walked hand in hand in the Nightwatcher's Valley, with their trusty havah nearby.

Vivenna: Now, I'm relatively new to this world, but isn't a "havah," like, the main piece of a woman's clothing? Eshonai: Among Vorin humans, yeah. Vivenna: So are we, like, strolling naked? Eshonai: On our way to see a dragon. Vivenna: Kinky.

8. The Prompt: "'Sure, I'm atop Gallant,' Radiant smiled, 'but I would leave it all behind for you.' // 'Even your spren?' Design asked, blushing."

Pattern: Mmmm, ditching your chaperone, Radiant?? Pattern: I know what that means!

9. The Prompt: "She was running out of time. If Queen Fen didn't act fast, she might lose her chance to ask Jaxlim on a date."

Jaxlim: Ah yes, this is told of in our ancient songs... Jaxlim: It is called "Old Woman Yuri." Fen: Is that...really in the ancient Listener songs? Jaxlim: [smiles cryptically]

10. The Prompt: "'I wish I could milk Azure and Jasnah,' Sylphrena said."

Azure: ... Jasnah: ... Syl: ... Azure: ... Jasnah: ... Syl: Although...you know, now that I'm thinking about it... Jasnah & Azure: NO
