Emulation exercises are fun and all but when I end up with 500 words from the middle of the novel I'm conceptualizing and have to submit it to my professor I can't help but scream internally bc I can tell how weird it feels!!! Was reading up on the homoeroticism between Nick Carraway and Jay Gatsby and remembered several things. First off, that Nick was implied to have had sex with a feminine man at an orgy. Second, that Jordan Baker is described as a masculine and free spirited kind of woman, one who pursues sports and competition, the way women were not typically allowed to do.

And third, that Fitzgerald originally had a passage about Nick being "amorously pursued" by a former male acquaintance, but deleted it.

So.

Nick was very gay/bisexual.

And then I went further into that rabbit hole and found out that Fitzgerald's wife thought he was gay and claimed he had an affair with Ernest Hemingway. And also that he flirted with men and described himself as "half feminine."

Which was wild to find out, btw. They didn't teach me that in ap lit.

I remember waking up that day and hearing about Jay on tumblr and initially thinking it could not be true. It was so shocking and my heart broke for Louis. He and Jay were so close 💔

Jay Brazeau (1995-2010)

Jay Brazeau is a Canadian character actor. He is a fat actor who has appeared in a wide variety of film and television genres and can play it straight or create some memorable characters. His film career started in 1975 with an Independent Canadian film called The Melting Pot. Today the IMDb site lists his acting appearances at 283 spanning 6 decades. This includes many voiceovers for animated characters. He didn't start getting fat until the 90s. The above photo is from Slam Dunk Ernest starring Jim Varney in 1995.

The above photo is from the 1995 TV movie, The Ranger, The Cook and a Hole in the Sky starring Sam Elliott, Jerry O'Connell and Ricky Jay. Brazeau played a doctor.

Zayn releases his 3rd album Nobody Is Listening by RCA Records. The album features guest appearances from Syd and Devlin and is preceded by the release of the singles Better and Vibez. The album's artwork is designed by Zayn himself and is inspired by  expressionism and graffiti

The opener of the album is Calmity, which is written by Zayn and also produced by him and Unicorn Waves

Better, which is already released as a single, is, besides Zayn, written by David Brown (aka Lucky Daye), Dustin Bowie, Michael McGregor, Cole Citrenbaum and Philip von Boch Scully. The latter two also handled the production

Outside is written by Zayn, Khalid Robinson and Ryan Vojtesak, while the production's done by Charlie Handsome.

Also already released as a single is Vibez, which Zayn wrote with Rogét Chayahed, Michael Orabiyi (aka Scribz Riley), Nija Charles and Darnell Donohue. Rogét Chayahed produced the song with Scribz Riley

When Love's Around, a collaboration with Syd is not only written by Zayn and Sydney Bennett (aka Syd) but also by Nicolas Eaholtz, Jay Oyebadejo and David Rosser, while the production is handled by Nicky Davey and Jay Kurzweil

Non mais genre allo quoi ! Tout l'intérêt de l'original c'est le jeu de mots entre earnest et ernest, et tous les traducteurs depuis ont choisi de déformer très légèrement le sens pour garder le jeu de mots avec Constant/constant.

Mais non, y a quelqu'un qui s'est dit "haha on s'en moque que le fil rouge de la pièce soit un jeu de mots pourrave, on va juste le retirer et ça va rester pareil pas vrai ?"
