Soy Luna Season 3 Episodes 1-30 Thoughts

Okay I've been zooming through these episodes fast while I have the longest break from work I've had since I started the job.

Giving us Lumon for 10 episodes except it's only one-sided on Luna's part and she goes back on it because Nina keeps saying "maybe you're just trying to forget Matteo" is annoying

Nina, no offense, but you have the worst relationship advice fam

Simon and Luna are actually cute together, and people often forget that those in relationships should be capable of being reliable and trusted friends. Relationships don't have to have constant conflict

Poor Luna throughout all of it though. She was about to confess to Simon, only for him to say he's in love with Ambar. I would be crushed

Ambar and Simon having sexual tension in almost every scene they share is crazy for a Disney show. I get why so many people love them together so much

I also like that Simon is the one person she's not scared of being vulnerable around even with their relationship ended, that hug for comfort was everything

Sharon looking like a Dollar Store Carrie-Anne Moss is making it hard for me to take her seriously lmao

Sharon is an awful parental figure to Ambar. "You have to stay with the Valente's because I have a plan to exact revenge against them" is the worst possible thing to say to her when she was the one constant in Ambar's life from the time she was adopted

Alfredo is so stubborn, it is realistic. Old people are like that

The end of Gastina is sad, but understandable. I feel like Gaston did see the video Delfina posted about Eric and Nina and didn't assume she cheated, get mad, or anything like that. However, he was probably thinking "it's unfair for her to be committed to me when I can barely even make time for her"

Eric kind of gives me weird vibes. He's not bad, but I feel like he's an inch away from doing something to get me to dislike him. From my experience, the whole shy guy thing starts seeming like a red flag once you exit high school unless they were homeschooled or escaped an abusive situation tbh

Delfina and Pedro are boring, but I can see them being a stable couple tbh

The scenes involving Lutteo feel forced, like they are telling more than they are showing

Matteo is actually somewhat bearable this season, and I attribute that to him having actual friends beyond just Gaston (who mostly gave him advice)

The Red Sharks are absolutely insufferable. Emilia and Benicio both deserve the worst

I understand Ramiro though. He saw skating as his CAREER more than anyone else. The Jam and Roller team had nothing except each other until their video while the Red Sharks had equipment, a financier, sponsors, a rink, etc. I kind of agree with Ramiro on not feeling too bad about recording them. The whole aspect of being shunned and then "please don't release the video, we're friends" after nobody really talking to him except Jim. I'd be annoyed too

The show makes such a big deal out of Emilia kissing Matteo without his consent (which is very messed up too, don't get me wrong), but it brushed over Matteo doing the same to Luna and somewhat less with Benicio doing the same to Ambar.. I'm not sure how to feel about that

Gary is a horrible person, and Ana deserves someone who is amazing tbh. I know if I was a single 40-ish year old man dating her, I would be obsessed with treating her right and making sure she was happy

It is nice to have a very clear antagonist with a big presence like Gary though. He is lowkey an idiot because if he did things with an ounce of tact and wasn't an asshole for no reason, things wouldn't suddenly start blowing up in his face like the big lack of a coach and his team's lack of discipline (why did he stop at 4 instead of 6 lmao)

In a statement published the same week as the first Melodifestivalen semi-final, more than 1000 Swedish artists ask the EBU to exclude Israel from this year's Eurovision Song Contest, including 2 acts participating in this year's edition of melfest: Jacqline, and both members of Medina. Also among the signatures are former melfest participants Johan Hirvi (Panetoz) and Alvaro Estrella, as well as former winners Eric Saade and Malena Ernman.

Some other notable signatures belong to Robyn, First Aid Kit, Eagle-Eye Cherry, Petra Marklund (also known as September), The Wannadies, Thomas Stenström, Miriam Bryant, Sabina Ddumba, Daniel Adams-Ray, Timbuktu, Kaliffa and many others whose names I recognise but I'm too unfamiliar with the contemporary music scene to know their work.

[...] What is happening in Gaza is a humanitarian disaster and the International Court of Justice in The Hague has recently decided to continue the case where Israel is accused of crimes against the Genocide Convention. Despite this the European radio- and TV-union the EBU intends to allow Israel's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. The EBU grounds its position on Eurovision being a competition between public service companies rather than states. But in 2022 the EBU chose to exclude Russia by reason of the invasion of Ukraine, and in 2021 the participating broadcaster from Belarus was denied participation because the country broke the EBU's rules for the freedom of the press. In barely four months about 100 Palestinian journalists have been killed, and foreign press has been denied access to Gaza. It is one of the greatest attacks on journalistic freedom in modern times. We are of the opinion that the EBU by allowing Israel's participation displays a remarkable double-standard that undermines the credibility of the organisation. [...] We expect both the EBU and this year's host broadcaster SVT to be consistent in their approach towards participating countries that infringe on democratic values and human rights.

[...] We who sign this are 1000 artists who believe in music as a unifying force. The Eurovision Song Contest began as a peace project to unite countries and citizens through music. To allow Israel's participation undermines not just the competition's spiritual intent but the entire public service mission. It also sends the signal that governments can commit war crimes without facing consequences. That is why we ask the EBU: Exclude Israel from the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.

You actually do look different, Ororo, but that's because this book has changed artists, not because you lost your virginity. I sort of hope this was an intentional gag, because if so it's a clever one.

That said, I should talk about the art here - now Lan Medina, formerly David Yardin - but it's a bit hard to do so as it remains painfully generic. It's not bad as such, and some of the action is good, but the colour in particular feels kind of crude, with some weird decisions for effect, like the green-blue here, that don't land.

The Summer Station ID clips will be re-used in the 2013 Summer Station ID of TV5 which is “Bida Best sa Tag-Araw”, The 2014 Summer Station ID of TV5 which is “Pinoy Summer, Da Best 4 Eva!” and the I Gotta Feeling music video from the future movie Ready Player One which will be releasing in March 21, 2013 from Walt Disney Pictures, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios. However, The Summer Station ID reuses the clips of the music videos from those deleted songs Without Me by Dr. Dre and The Real Slim Shady by DMX from the movie Frozen where Will Smith as Jack Frost and Luis Manzano, Xian Lim, Enchong Dee, Matteo Guidicelli and DingDong Dantes as “The Backstreet Boys” were seen including Little Bo Peep from Toy Story and Gelli de Belen as “The Beauty Queen” who also make a cameo at the near end.

It finally happens!

A bunch of fighting also happens in this issue, but it's honestly whatever. This one's for you, Storm/Black Panther fans.

Dylan and EJ came from two very different worlds. Dylan was born and raised in Albay, Bicol, where he was surrounded by the familiar comforts of his school, friends, and everything he had ever known. However, the 2008 recession forced his parents to make a tough decision.

They moved to Pine Hill, Manila, in search of a better future. Dylan hated the move. He felt lost and disconnected in the busy city and even more out of place at St. Michael's Catholic School, where the boys looked like models and the girls seemed straight out of high-end fashion magazines.

Then he met Eric James "EJ" Medina. EJ was the school's golden boy, an overachiever who excelled at everything. He earned constant praise from teachers and admiration from classmates. But behind the accolades and perfect façade, EJ was lonely. He craved recognition and love from his parents, who always compared him to his flawless older brother. Dylan and EJ quickly became friends, but soon,

Dylan found himself dealing with feelings that went beyond friendship. He tried to hide his growing affection for EJ, but the more he suppressed it, the stronger it became.

EJ, too, struggled with his feelings, denying them until he couldn't any longer. When he finally confessed to Dylan, they started a secret relationship, knowing that the conservative school and EJ's parents would never accept them.

Their love story faced its greatest challenge when someone decided to out them, threatening to shatter the little world they created for themselves.
