Season 1 episode 2 [... After the Phantoms of Your Former Self] - part 2/3

- [Daniel] "White master, Black student, but equal in the quiet dark" - *spits out the water I just drunk* DANIEL MOLLOY THE QUEEN THAT YOU ARE. And Louis immediately answering the provocation with a slam down of his own. I am so here for the Louis/Daniel bromance, the way they can just spend hours snarking at each other. Saltmates, if you will.

Louis is such a Bitch, the way he decides to eat that fox in front of Daniel to remind him that "vampires are killers", and the way he lets the blood drip, when canonically vampires never waste any blood (at least in the book, that's one of the thing Lestat repeats often, a vampire's feeding is clean, no trace of blood left anywhere, but in a visual media about vampires, of course it looks better to have the blood dripping on the chin after, sometimes you gotta privilege aesthetic over function).

[Louis] "Vampires are killers, apex predators whose all-seeing eyes were meant to give them detachment, the ability to see a human life in its entirety, not with any mawkish sorrow, but with the thrilling satisfaction of being the end of that life and having a hand in the divine plan."

Yeaaah, like Daniel says, "don't expect every reader to swallow that one". Because for one thing, you don't even fully believe it, Louis, you who's about to spend several years starving yourself feeding only on rats and cats, you who just had a fox for supper instead of going hunting, you who hates feeding on humans and doesn't let even your fellow vampires witness you feeding (book canon), you who also goes during the 20th century from crisis of faith to fully atheist and uncaring about religion... Pretty words. Empty words. I'm not buying it.

"Mawkish": lacking flavor or having an unpleasant taste / exaggeratedly or childishly emotional (Merriam-Webster). Well I didn't know that word. Collins Dictionary tells me that the best translation to French would be "mièvre", and now I am loving this even more. "Mièvre" is not a very used word in French, which is a shame because it's a very pretty and very evocative word, and "mawkish" definitely gives me the same impression. Yey, I learned something new today! New word to incorporate to my vocabulary.

- I swear I'm not trying to comment every single minute of this episode, but every single minute brings something interesting. I have to stop on Louis and Lestat's conversation about languages and killing being its own language, as a multilingual person myself (I could spend hours talking linguistics, sorry not sorry):

[Lestat] "'When I first started learning English, I abhorred it. Every word felt like a doorknob falling out of my mouth. Chapeau is a hat, étoile was a star...' [Louis] 'Killin' folks ain't a second language!' [Lestat] 'But when I started dreaming in English, that's when I embraced it. And now, I have English consonants to thank for this astonishing jawline.' [Louis] 'These are nightmares I'm having, Lestat, not dreams.'"

Firstly, yeah, Lestat's right, "hat" is weird. It's chapeau in French, cappello in Italian, kapela in Greek, even quba'a in Arabic, and Arabic is not even an Indo-European language... The heck does hat come from? *resists the urge to go linguistic deep dive* Secondly, yeah, he's right, he does have an amazing jawline - taking this opportunity to bring attention to the scar on the corner of his mouth, book readers know what's up. Where was I? Ah, yeah. No, Lestat's right about a foreign language sounding weird in your mouth until you start to understand its spirit instead of only its letter - words falling out of your mind versus dreaming in that language. Been talking English for long enough that I do dream in English, and been multilingual all my life so I adapt to languages fast enough, but it's still a struggle. I'm fluent in Spanish now, but I don't dream in Spanish yet, and I sometimes feel like the word sounds wrong when it actually sounds like it should.

What it means in regard to Louis is that he's a slow learner. Gotta sound the kill one by one, taking your time, before you get to be a consummate killer. Can't learn a language in a night. Can't learn a language if you don't practice. Can't get used to killing if you don't kill, and can't survive if you don't kill, and vicious circle, doesn't kill>doesn't survive>doesn't practice>doesn't learn>doesn't survive>doesn't kill... Extremely interesting to see that Lestat IS actually teaching Louis about vampire ways, but Louis is not ready to listen yet, or, to continue the metaphor, they're not speaking the same language and they haven't learned to understand each other's language (not talking about accents obviously, but once again taking the opportunity to praise both Sam and Jacob's vocal work, between Sam's French accented drawling English and Jacob's Creole slang in NOLA and flat "standard" English in Dubai, it's a feast for the ears).

Okay, while Lestat's teaching Louis how to read minds (the Mind Gift, that book!Louis actually doesn't get in the books until very, very late on, and isn't good at, and doesn't show), wanna just say: look how giddy they are! Look how soft they are with each other! Look how fondly Louis speaks to Lestat, how fondly Lestat looks at Louis! We forget, and Louis too, but in between the misunderstandings and the drama and the anguish, they DID love each other, they DID have good times, they DID build a life with each other. It wasn't complete (and no I'm not talking about darling Claudia, I'm talking about speaking the same language), but it was good enough for quite a few years.

Oh man, Louis reading his family's minds, I coulda told him that's a bad idea *points to every literature with a man reader*, but also that passage in Narnia (Dawn Trader) when Lucy spies on her school friends and hear things she didn't want to read and didn't have to know. Don't have time to go search for that passage now, but Aslan tells her something like "some things really do not need be done", or sum' like that.

- Oh, hey, look. More social commentary. That white guy's gonna get eaten if he keeps patronising Louis like that. "You truly are an exceptional Negro" - hey Lou baby, can I kill him please? Lemme kill him for you. "I had let them talk to me like that so long, I had stopped hearing it" - oh, and Louis' accent is slipping here, can you hear it. Really, REALLY love how that change from book canon adds so many layers to Louis' character. Hey, have I said lately that Louis' my favourite? 'Cause Louis is my favourite. "Yes, sir. Of course, sir. Subject, verb, agreement, sir. Smile, nod, yes sir." - AWARDS FOR JACOB, all the awards for Jacob please, and my gods how much do I adore Louis, that sassy, snarky, bitchy queen. I want to have a book club with him.

"But I wasn't a man anymore. I was something else. I had powers now, and decades of rage to process, and it was both random and unfortunate, the man picked that night to dabble in fuckery." - so first, Jacob keeps on flexing his vocal skills by letting Louis slip more and more back to his original accent, and then, YES KING, get his ass, DRAIN HIM. And in a more meta way, all hails liberation movements and the process of reclaiming one's identity. Maybe not through murder, we all ain't lucky enough to be vampires, but yeah, rage is a good tool actually. Rage can lead to enormous movements that change the fabric of society for the better. Never underestimate the power of repressed rage finally expressing itself when it's yielded by clever, resourceful, empathic beings. Sorry, that was the "segregated Southern States social commentary as a mirror for 21st century's current liberation movements social commentary" minute, back to the vampires.

[Lestat] "You are a library of confusion" - first of all, Sam's delivery, with the hand gestures and the head shake, MAGNIFICENT, but also, it's Lestat starting to realize that maaaaaaybe he bit more than he can chew. Maaaaaybe.

[Louis] "'There's some things you don't get about America, Lestat.' [Lestat] 'Yes, let's have this conversation again.' [Louis] 'Colored; white. Creole; French. Queer; half-queer, mostly queer, what is it?' [Lestat] 'Non-discriminating.' [Louis] 'Complicated situation we got here is what I'm saying.'"

ICONIC. And also, maaaaan do I love that that's the road RJ and Cie decided to go with, one of the only changes I've been having issues is the time skip (from 1797 to 1910, cf. episode 1 part 1 rewatch). But this little conversation here actually warms me to it! The layers, man, the layers. Also, love that Lestat self-identifies as non-discriminating, that's so totally him about basically everything: skin color and ethnicity, sexuality and gender, species, age... Drama Queen really said "everything goes, eeeeeeverything".

- "How can I say no to you?" - awwww, Lestat is so whipped for Louis.

[Louis] "From 1912 to 1917" - oooh thanks for the time stamps. So it's been two years since he's turned, and it's on for 5 years of stability. The famous "honeymoon era".

[Louis] "I made a mountain of money, enough to retire and be buried like a pharaoh" - uuuuuh *side-eyes cautiously Queen of the Damned* let's not talk about Egyptian monarchy yet, yeah, that'll come to burn us soon enough.

Oops, the baby scene. And Louis realising he can't hold on to his family, that they're about to slip between his fingers like sand... Ow. [Grace] "I'm sure Mama would love to see you" *rapid glance* *giggles* That's siblings for "yeaaaah no, lol, Mama would definitely NOT love to see me, you crazy".

[Louis] "I no longer kill. My last victim was in the year 2000." BUT DID YOU EAT THE BABY, LOUIS. "I sit here a master of my instincts." But did you eat the baby, Louis. Slight aside, but how is this dinner still on going?? WAIT, go back a second: [Daniel] "And you know this how, you guys have a thread on 8chan?" - BENJI MENTION? I sooo want to see Benji's radio. Though if we still follow book events but on show timeline, Armand hasn't met Benji and Sybelle yet, because they're turned a decade after Daniel. Repeating myself, but RJ did say he'd adapt Prince Lestat, and Benji's one of the main players of this book, so I'm sure we'll see him, but it's going to be a while, I think.

- Wait, I need to relisten to that conversation:

[Daniel] "'And what about the others out there? Have they mastered theirs?' [Louis] 'Just the opposite. Most of them are slaves to the blood, exhausted from decades, centuries of hiding, giddy to increase their numbers.' [...] [Daniel] 'Is the pandemic the opening they've been waiting for?' [Louis] 'Pandemic, the unravelling of geopolitical foundations. [...] One of them, a brute in Madagascar, called it 'the great conversion'.'"

Oh, lots to say here. Lots that will spoil the books too. Because hey, y'all know what happens in Queen of the Damned, after Lestat's concert? Yepppp. Pretty sure Rolin Jones just planted the seeds of seasons 3 and 4. And served on a silver platter with delicious 21st century social commentary. I'm having the time of my life.

[Daniel] "'Well most people I know like to play a little ball in the afternoon, or maybe go down to the beach, catching a few rays.' [Louis] 'Yes. What on earth would a meth-addicted son of a coal miner in West Virginia want with eternal life?' [Daniel] 'Did you eat the baby?' [Louis] 'Or the Arab youth whose whole family were wiped from existence...' [Daniel] 'Did you eat the baby?' [Louis] '... by a Western drone? No, I'm sure you're right.'"

SHOTS FIRED. And another Benji mention! And a personal attack. And Louis being his glorious catty self. And Daniel being his glorious one-minded self. We're heading for another "outburst", lmao.

The Damek scene is just so fucking weird, I'm wheezing. Nothing to say here, just: this show is a freaking comedy. Between Louis perfecting the Little Drink but his taste of the night just passing out, and Daniel going "you might have a drinking problem" and then going back to his idea of the night, "the goddamn baby, Louis, did you fucking eat the bloody baby", this is peak humor.

Aaaaaand we need a third part, still 15 minutes to go.

REVIEW

I really loved this episode!!! I thought it was great :DD. There were some really emotional, and (especially) sweet parts :')), but it was also SUPER funny slfkgjhdkls xD. Tommy's storyline was fun and emotional at some parts (and a bit serious given what was at stake) but also SO hilarious sometimes XDD. Paul's storyline was so sad at times :'((( but also really sweet :'). I really do hope he can work things out (or, that things work out I guess) with Asha, because he deserves it :)) <33. And also that last scene of them all playing basketball, plus Tommy, Trevor, and the girls out together, was so sweet and cute 🥰🥰🥰. Also, the cases were great this episode :D! Definitely interesting ones lol :).

Now! Time for the individual parts :).

Marjan! Miss you girl :')) :'(, you're amazing!! I love her :'DD 🥰. But!!! She is returning to us next week :DDD! AAAHHHHH I'm so excited to see her again :))) 🥰🥰!! It looks super dramatic o.o but I'm sure it'll all be okay, and it'll be a fun time :D. I would say she must be doing great at her job, but she currently does not have one lol. Eh, let's say it's travelling - she's great at that lol! Good for her xD <3.

Carlos! Another one to miss <33. And of course, I'm sure he was wonderful at his job today :)). I love him 🥰❤️. But!! We get to see him next weeeek :DD. And it'll be the WEDDING PLANNINGGG :DDD!! Y'all I am so excited for that lol. It's gonna be great :D xD.

Nancy! I loved her this episode :D. She was great, and I loved the little Mateo-Nancy-TK trio 🥰🥰. She was amazing at her job, too :DD. I mean, she literally stood on the back of the firetruck all the way to the hospital xD. Slay, lol. And I really loved her supporting Paul :)). Of course, in a teasing, sibling way lol. It was amazing, and to mention that ending scene again, that was so good :)). And she was great in it :DD!

Mateo! Again, a great member of the Mateo-Nancy-TK trio this episode :DD. Pretty much the same stuff for him as I said for Nancy - he was amazing, and it was great to see the supportive siblingship with Paul :))). Also, the fact that they were all just watching him make coffee xD. It didn't quite turn out right but it was amazing and a great effort Mateo <33, lol 🥰. I love him so much :DD ❤️.

TK! Another great member of the Mateo-Nancy-TK trio xDD. I know it's the third time, but seriously, I loved them so much :)). They were great. The advice and support (and teasing lol) they gave Paul, and just being there 🥰🥰❤️. Also, TK specifically was adorable in that conversation after Asha came through xD. They all were but yk lol. I love him 🥰🥰🥰. Also I am SO excited for next episode xDD. WEDDING PLANNING TIMEEE!! It's going to be chaos lol. And so good xD. I'm so excited lol :)). And of course, TK was great at his job this episode :D. Poor him and Nancy on the back of the truck though lol XDD!

I just realized I probably could've put them all together, but whatever lol.

Judd! He was great this episode :)). It was fun to see him trying to help Tommy a bit, but also it was hilarious XDD. I can only imagine the conversation of Grace spilling the tea on all that went down to him LOL! Amazing xD. But, he did help out in the first scene with him and Grace (though he did also joke around just like the other time XD) ❤️❤️. Also, he was great at his job, as always 🥰🥰. But yeah :)). Adorable wonderful man <33, and great in the end but lol xD. I love him 🥰❤️.

Grace! I love her :DD. She is so amazing 🥰🥰. She was great at her job, as per usual (always) ❤️❤️. And her finding out about Tommy and Julius was just XDD. HILARIOUS, lol xD. And mood girl, it's wild information to receive xD. But I am glad she was there for Tommy, as always, and she was a great friend :D. And her reaction to the smoothie scene was hilarious XD. Our girl was giving us everything this episode lol. But yeah, she did genuinely help Tommy out and give her good advice, so that's awesome too 🥰.

Owen! I really liked how he helped out Paul this episode :D. I mean, he ain't no therapist, but he's not a bad listener :)). Sometimes lol. But it was really nice to see him supporting Paul and trying to help :')). And while obviously their situations aren't quite the same, the story near the end was really good :'). Plus, Gwyn mention 😭😭❤️. Lovely :')). And that is so her xdd. Anyway, I'm super happy he helped Paul regain basketball as a part of his life :'D. Also, Owen was great at his job this episode :)). And, I am excited to see all the crazy wedding planning shenanigans next week XD. This man is going to go INSANE but I am here for it lol. We've been seeing little hints, or things leading up to it, like at the beginning of this episode, and now it's finally time for the real thing xD. I'm not ready but so ready lol. But yeah! I love him <33.

Tommy! I'm really glad everything worked out with her and Trevor :'DD. And Melody, of course lol. It was a great storyline, and definitely had its serious moments, but it was also HILARIOUS at parts XDD. Like when Melody recorded her (or honestly any of the actual confrontations lol), or Tommy talking with Grace and Judd (any of the times) xDD. At least Evie and Izzy were cool with it though lol. I'm glad Tommy and Melody worked it out in the end :'D. Both Tommy and Trevor deserve to be happy, and right now, that's with each other :))). But obviously their kids do too, so I'm glad they are <333 🥰🥰. Also the near ending scene was so sweet :'DD 😭. Obviously Melody would want her mom for that situation, but Tommy was there for her, Tommy helped her, she comforted her, and she was just generally all around awesome :')). She was a good person to be there for Melody till her mom could ❤️❤️❤️🥰. And I'm glad Melody had someone :')). And I'm happy that Tommy could be that :)). They were so adorable ❤️❤️. And all of them in the ending scene!!! They may not be perfect, but they're all learning and navigating this. And they're so sweet :'DDD. I love them all 🥰🥰. Also, of course, Tommy was amazing at her job :D. I love her so much 🥰🥰❤️.

Paul! I enjoyed Paul's storyline so much 😭. It had some really sad parts, but also some really happy parts :')). And together they made it great <3. Real quick, he was as per usual great at his job this episode :))). Anyway! I really love the relationship he has with Asha - they're so cute and sweet :)). Also him getting interrogated by the 126 was so funny XDDD. My poor guy LOL. No escape from the Mateo-Nancy-TK trio lol xDD. Anyway, Owen helping him out was really nice too <33. It's a tough situation. He left a lot of his life behind, t separate himself from it :'((. But I think that, with the regaining of basketball, he's starting to get some of that back :'). To be able to accept it, to know he can still do those things if he wants :'DD <3. And I really hope, for his sake (and for Asha's) that that extends to her too :')). There's just so cute :DD 🥰🥰🥰!! They both deserve to be happy, and they have that with each other (just like Tommy and Trevor :)) ). So yeah, I hope it works out :'DD. It's obviously a super scary thing to do, as we could tell this episode 😭😭❤️, but I think it might be worth it :). Hopefully it is <33 🥰. Also the basketball scene at the end was just so amazing :'DD. It was a bit silly, not in a bad way, just funny :). Lighthearted, I guess :D. But it also meant a lot :')). Plus, y'all know how I love group scenes, especially outside of work 🥰🥰🥰. Which, well, technically they were still inside of work, but whatever XDD. Y'all know what I mean lol. Like, off duty xD. Anyway, seeing all of them together was so fun 🥰🥰❤️. It was such a fun and sweet scene :D. I loved them all your honor <3. Anyway, back to Paul :). He's going through something scary right now, but I know he can do this. I am so, so proud of him :'DD 😭😭❤️. I felt so bad for him at points, because it sucks :'(((. But now he's taking another step forward :)). He deserves to be happy :'))) <33. I love him so much 🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️.

Overall, I really loved this episode! It had a lot of hilarious parts, and a lot of emotional parts :). But the funny parts didn't cheapen the emotional ones, the the emotional ones didn't weigh down the funny ones :'D. It was just a really great balance <333. Anyway! The cases were great :DD! A bit unexpected, with the double call on the pizza one, and the walk in for the upside down lady XD. But they were really cool, partly because of that :D!! Also! I am SO EXCITED for the next episode :DD. It looks like it'll definitely have more drama xD, but I'm cool with that lol. Between Marjan, and that car rescue, and the wedding planning plot!!! This gonna be so amazing :DD. I'm a bit nervous, but so excited :)). Both ready and not ready lol. Anyhoo :). Everybody was great this episode 🥰🥰, and though there was definitley some drama, everything got sorted out :')).

So yeah! I really enjoyed this episode, I thought it was amazing. I'm super excited for next time! This has been my review of. . .

TWIN RUNES - FAQ

What exactly is this AU about? Twin Runes is essentially a comedic crossover AU between the universes of Deltarune and Undertale. No fancy nicnacs. Just the characters being their chaotic selves. But there might be some darkness lurking up ahead... ____________________

When is the next comic? The comic updates most Sundays at 6:30 PM Central European Time. ____________________

Why is this AU called Twin Runes? The name is more or less a play on the typical naming format of most AU's by featuring the "Runes" part. There are no literal Twin Runes. The whole name is more of a stand in for Undertale and Deltarune as parallel worlds. Hence the "Twin" part. ____________________

When does Twin Runes take place? This AU takes place between a hypothetical Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 of Deltarune. On the Undertale side of things, it takes place post neutral route just as Frisk was about to deliver Undyne's letter to Alphys.

How many pages are there going to be? The script for this comic estimates that the comic is going to be 137 pages long (if I don't make any major changes). ____________________

Is the Player a thing in this AU? The Player(s) lost control over both human children as soon as Frisk entered the world of Deltarune. Essentially, the reader takes on the role of the Player. You have no influence on the outcome of the story anymore. All you can do is watch. Both Kris and Frisk refer to the Player as "It" and "the THING". ____________________

Is there going to be a Weird Route? Due to the lack of Player, all choices made by Kris are now their own. How to engage in battle all depends on Kris, and not the Player. Because of that, there are NO DIFFERENT ROUTES. There is only one route and that one is based on Kris' choices. Because of the lack of save points, there is no "what-if" scenario. ____________________

When Chapter 3 and 4 are released, will it affect the story? Any chapters after Chapter 3 won't affect the story in the grand scheme of things. Twin Runes created a new timeline so to speak. ____________________

How old are the characters in this story? Frisk appears to be around 9 years old. Kris thinks they're 14. (Both Frisk and Kris don't know their actual age.) Chara died when they were around 10-11. Susie is around 15-16 (she was held back once) Ralsei appears to be the same age as Kris. ____________________

What's up with Kris' and Frisk's hair? The red bits of their hair is more or less a representation of their souls. That in turn is also why Chara doesn't have that feature. They are soulless. It's a stylistic choice. ____________________

What's that thing on Kris' chest? It's a scar they got from tearing out their soul.

And why do they have weird lines all over their body? Both Kris and Frisk's anatomy resemble that of ball-jointed dolls. They appear just as markings across their bodies. Can other ghosts see Chara? (pre Darkner transformation) No, only Frisk and Kris are able to see Chara. ____________________

So, was Chara in the locket all along? No, Chara possessed the locket to become a Darkner. ____________________

Where are Jevil and Spamton? Are they in Castle Town? The Fun Gang have already fought these two in the previous chapters and added them into their inventory. Outside of that little dream sequence, neither will be making an appearance. ____________________

Is anyone from Undertale Yellow gonna make an apperance? Outside of a tiny cameo from Clover (that has no greater bearing on the story) no one from Undertale Yellow is going to make an appearance. ____________________

Is (insert character here) gonna go to the Dark World/underground? With the way the story is going to play out, only the main group will be heading to this new Dark World. The rest of the story will be taking place there. ____________________

How did you come up with the idea of Twin Runes? Twin Runes is an offshoot of a separate script I wrote. It's a similar concept but turned on its head. The funny moments in that script made me just continue what now is the start of Twin Runes. I pretty much just wanted to see if I am actually capable of drawing a comic to begin with. So... in a way Twin Runes is my first attempt at a comic ever. If I ever finish Twin Runes, then I know I can tackle turning that mammoth project of a script into a comic too. In the grand scheme of things these two projects are sister series. They have A LOT in common and even share similar plot elements. When Twin Runes is over you will automatically also know certain mysteries of The Other Script. ____________________

What is The Other Script? As of this moment I call The Other Script: "Lost in the In-Between". At its core it's an inverse of Twin Runes. I.e. Kris falling into the underground and being aided by Frisk on their quest to return home. The story and jokes are a considerably more grounded than in Twin Runes and so are the characters. Though they do have their moments from time to time. The overall mood of that script is a lot darker in nature and it's a 200+ page passion project of mine. ____________________

Is there x ship in this comic? The focus of the story is not on shipping. If it's in the game it will very likely be mentioned or brought up, but that's about it. ____________________

What pronouns do you go with for the human children? I try to stick as close as possible to the games so I use THEY/THEM FOR ALL OF THEM WITHOUT ANY EXCEPTIONS.

how many times each ninja lose their powers in every Season of Ninjago (Excluding Dragon Rising)

Pilot: They didn't have them until they found the golden weapons, so I'm counting this entire 'season'. 4 times.

Season 1 (Rise of the Great Devourer) : The ninja are reliant on their golden weapons for their elements aside from Lloyd, I'm counting this whole season. 13 times.

Season 2 (Legacy of the Green Ninja) : the ninja, aside from Lloyd, don't have elemental powers (or very limited powers) until episode ten. 10 episodes.

Season 3 (Rebooted) : The ninja all have their elemental powers for this season, though Zane's is weaker due to sharing his power source with Pixal. I'm not counting that, though. Lloyd loses his golden power, but that's not his main element of energy and I'm not counting that, either. Zero episodes.

Season 4 (Tournament of Elements) : This is the fun one, where I'm gonna counting the Ninja individually. Zane's power is gone until around episode 8, but he doesn't have any screen time in episode 1, Cole loses his in episode 3. The rest of the ninja have their elements until episode 6 or 7.

Zane: 6 full episodes, maybe part of episode 8.

Jay: 2 episodes

Cole: 4 episodes

Kai: He doesn't lose his element this season! He's smart in this season! Good for him!

Lloyd: Doesn't even spend an episode with them gone.

Season 5 (Possession) : Lloyd gets possessed by the spiteful ghost Morro, and the Ninja lose access to their powers. Starting from around halfway through episode 1 until around episode 7 or 8. But Nya gains her power this season! Good for her, I say! 7 Episodes

Season 6 (Skybound) : No powers are lost, juat Ninja captured in the Djinn blade! No episodes!

Season 7 (Hands of Time) : Again, no powers lost, just Wu. No episodes.

Season 8 (Sons of Garmadon) : Lloyd loses his powers in episode 10, he's the only one, though. One episode for Lloyd.

Season 9 (Hunted) : Lloyd doesn't have his powers back until episode 10, so that's another 9 episodes for him.

Season 10 (March of the Oni) : No episodes, it's a short 'season' like the pilot.

Season 11 (Secrets of Forbidden Spinjitzu Fire + Ice) : Kai loses his elements starting from episode 5 and doesn't really get them back until episode 30. 25 long, long episodes of powerless kai.

Season 12 (Prime Empire + Master of the Mountain) : The ninja, minus Zane, lose their powers while in the video game prime empire, starting from episode 2 until around episode 16. That's a lot of episodes. In Master of the Mountain, I don't think any of them lost their powers. Idk I stopped watching after starting prime empire, I'm reading the episode description text on Netflix now. 14 episodes.

Season 13 (The island + Seabound) : I don't think the ninja lose their powers, except Nya, who loses her power on episode 20. 1 episode for her.

Season 14 + 15 (Crystalized) : Nya doesn't have her powers for the whole of Crystalized part 1, and part 2 idk where she gets them back. I'm just saying she probably gets them back on the last episode before the season final. 25 episodes for her.

Total for each Ninja

Jay: 50 episodes across 6 seasons.

Cole: 52 episodes across 6 seasons.

Zane: 40 episodes across 5 seasons.

Kai: 73 episodes across 6 seasons. Poor guy. He has the longest duration without powers.

Lloyd: 10 ⅓ episodes across 3 season.

Nya*: 40 episodes across 3 seasons.

*Nya's does not count the time before she discovered her element.

SRMTHFG Watch Guide

Hi everyone! I made a list for newcomers who are interested in watching SRMT but don't know where to start! : ]

'Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!' (Yes, that's really the title, 'SRMTHFG' for short) was a cartoon that aired from 2004-2006 on Jetix/Disney Channel.

It's about a boy and his team of cybernetic monkeys saving the universe from the evil Skeleton King. It sounds ridiculous... but it is so unironically good. There is plot. There is trauma. There are wacky antics. You can watch the entire series on YouTube, in HD, for free lol.

There's two versions of the show:

1080p HD, widescreen, censored (YouTube Link)

480-720p, cropped, uncensored (YouTube Link)

Personally I would recommend the HD cut. I am working on compiling every censored scene, nearly all of which are under 3 seconds (graphic violence, blood, etc.).

Hawk & Tim's scenes in chronological order

Okay, so I made a list with the timestamps of each scene between Hawk and Tim to be able to watch them in chronological order (you know, to make everything even more painful). I already watched through it yesterday and it worked well, so I thought I might share it.

Note that this only includes direct interactions between Hawk and Tim. The only scenes I included where they didn’t interact directly is Mary telling Tim that Hawk betrayed him, the letter Lucy burned, and the final scene at the AIDS quilt.

If you want to watch their entire story, including all the scenes of them talking about each other, I honestly think it’s easier to just watch the episodes in order and skip to the right parts (maybe I’ll also do another one for the entire series).

Jace and clary could never understand because they always do whatever they want without caring about consequences. at least Alec adapts and changes into a better man AND DEALS WITH EVERYTHING

SpaceTime is Australia’s most popular and respected astronomy and space science news program – averaging over two million downloads every year. We’re also number five in the United States. The show reports on the latest stories and discoveries making news in astronomy, space flight, and science. SpaceTime features weekly interviews with leading Australian scientists about their research. The show began life in 1995 as ‘StarStuff’ on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC) NewsRadio network. Award winning investigative reporter Stuart Gary created the program during more than fifteen years as NewsRadio’s evening anchor and Science Editor. Gary’s always loved science. He studied astronomy at university and was invited to undertake a PHD in astrophysics, but instead focused on his career in journalism and radio broadcasting. Gary’s radio career stretches back some 34 years including 26 at the ABC. He worked as an announcer and music DJ in commercial radio, before becoming a journalist and eventually joining ABC News and Current Affairs. He was part of the team that set up ABC NewsRadio and became one of its first on air presenters. When asked to put his science background to use, Gary developed StarStuff which he wrote, produced and hosted, consistently achieving 9 per cent of the national Australian radio audience based on the ABC’s Nielsen ratings survey figures for the five major Australian metro markets: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. these are my thoughts on interview with the vampire episode 5 season 2

I've heard a few things about this episode, I've been really wanting to watch it just havent had had the time yet. I've also heard that they don't actually unpack any of it.which seems pretty on brand for them

(6:10) Sometimes, ii think i have bad handwriting, but then there’s daniel’s, which makes my feel a lot better about my own

(7:52) definitely gay (8:11) definitely

This whole interview is just a who can be the sassiest and most insane old gay guy possible

(9:46) daniel is like that one fall out boy song, he spent an entire decade high and doesn't remember any of it (or that he is gay)

(10:04) i like how they had him standing at the window, it's a nice touch

(12:53) if i just found out that vampires are real, i think i would be pretty fucking afraide too

I've been painting my nails while watching and ended up skipping on of my nails

(13:35) that was perfect, it was so close to quoting the book, it was good enough that i even recognised it before i even looked up the first few pages

(16:03) I like this louis more than the other few, he’s so much more fun and happy instead of seeming like he only sort of wanted to be there.

(17:18) it's no wonder he doesn't remember the first interview, he looks like he could barely stand if he wanted to

(24:21) i think someone is a little jealous (another weirdly spelled word) ((25:19) and the other one is schizophrenia), i also think two someones need to go the marriage therapy

(26:16) well that took quite a turn, and i think its shows their relationship well, how even thought why both had just yelled at each other, armand still saved him right away, and then, though i haven't gotten there yet, i assume that armand made him forget how bad it hurt, (38:22), i take parts of that back, armand basically torched him, they really do need therapy, i'm surprised they didn't end up killing each other in the time between the interviews

(29:23) poor daniel got caught in the middle of their messed up relationship

(30:01) for some reason, i thought the guy in the bag was daniel, and somehow he was revived and turned into a vampire, i clearly didn't think this through much because now that i'm thinking about it again, there in no way that would have worked

Armand is supposed to look 17, he looks 20 or so, i know his actor is somewhere in his 20’s and he did play him well, i don't think they could have done the show the same way if he was played by a younger actor.

(45:31) louis is quite a jump scare when the rest of your room is dark and quite

(51:01) once again, not talking about the problems

OTHER

I really like how both daniel’s had similar voices, specifically the gravely (i think that's the right word) parts

Conclusion of this episode: maybe all four of them could use some therapy or atleast to talk to each other and work out their problems (the last part doesn't really apply to lestat, he was not part of the sort of ok guys, not good guys, i don't think any of them really qualify as good guys except daniel, he was just caught up in everything)

This episode really put their relationship through it but i think it may have helped parts of it as well, maybe if armand and louis could actually talk they could have a better relationship that isn't just hanging off a cliff

@certainunkownlove2 was telling me about this post and i think all of you need to read it, he is so wonderful for this
