The First, December 2016 I had the first seizure of my life. I woke up 20 minutes later in an ambulance thinking I must be in a *very* lucid dream. Nope. I had developed epilepsy. 🧠 ⚡️ So much of my artwork since that day has been inspired by this sudden and drastic change in my life. Inktober day #6 "sickness" this was the easiest and more complex for me at the same time, I tried to explain how I feel meanwhile I forget things before a full epileptic episode. It is a very weird sensation the lost of abilities and the confusion, the tricky thing is that more you try to fight it more it get worse fast. Lately I was thinking that is similar to time travel with your mind cause is like getting very little very fast and forget all about yourself and everything around you.

Buried - Part III, 💀Part III of my short story “Buried” is available to read on my website www.mouseakins.com/blog 💀 I remember reading this section of Part III to my creative writing class in college and freaking quite a few folks out (understandably so). ✍️ I wrote this story as a way to work through some deep traumas in my life; I admit that taking this tale out of the closet and putting it out into the world has been a feat all its own, let alone editing and rewriting parts to expand upon the story. 😰 It is a difficult task to face ourselves, our fears, and our traumas of the past - but sometimes the only way out is through it; I want to heal. ——————————————————————————— 🤷‍♀️What in the world is this story about anyway? Well, “Buried” explores the ideas of body consciousness after the “soul” or “ego” consciousness has left the body. WIP, I have been really excited these past fee days. I had a bad series of #pnes attacks earlier this week and felt inspired to create an image based upon how I had felt. It’s a bizarre experience, but as a visual of cooling and cracking magma came into my mind a spark went off and an idea for a graphic novel popped into my head. WIP, I’m really pleased with how well this piece is coming along. Right now I’m just trying to get those darn brain folds 🧠 fleshed out. • Someone said this work reminded them of the mountain from GOT - and I definitely think there is a connection there subconsciously.
