I'm having two very different fictotype kinsidering moments but I kinda find it funny how different they are

On one hand after having my partner slowly introduce the series to me I'm 99% sure I'm Chiaki from Danganronpa 2?? I absolutely recognize some folks aren't very fond of the series for reasons I can understand but man there's a lot of correct bells ringing rn!

On the other one, I'm fairly certain I'm someone from Epic: The Musical! I couldn't tell you who exactly, all I know is I'm pretty sure I'm not Ithaca royalty. There's definitely a few ideas floating around but they're all similar in some form so it's gonna take a good minute figuring that out

Basically, my brain likes claiming fictotypes lately and we stay absolutely silly out here

Oh okay so I’m crying.

Anyway, yeah, this is fairly accurate for me. I definitely wasn’t angry with Athena anymore. Too much had happened in the time between when we’d last seen each other that it just… wasn’t worth it. Honestly, I think I forgave her near-immediately. I’m not even sure I was ever truly angry with her. I was just angry in general and lashing out. I wanted to apologize as soon as I’d said it, but by then it was too late.

I mean, it was a mix between this and me just being like “COME ON THENA MY WIFE IS R I G H T T H E R E WE CAN HAVE PHILOSOPHICAL TALKS LATER” /silly

I think I had maybe a relatively different interpretation of the last scene between Athena and Odysseus than a lot of the fandom?

I never really interpreted it as Odysseus being angry with Athena, if anything, I always pictured them smiling in this last scene. It’s been a long road, but they’re both here now. Odysseus is a smart man, he saw his son fight, I think he forgave Athena a long time before this, but he definitely does when he realizes that she’d been taking care of his son, and presumably (like in the Odyssey), his wife, who she knows are so important to him.

He entrusts her with a better future, he knows it’s something she’s capable of building, even if he isn’t. He knows this because she stands before him, battered and beaten and down an eye but is more set on the idea of building a better world than maybe Odysseus himself ever really was.

Their melodies never harmonize again, but they do compliment each other. They’re no longer mentor and mentored, they’re just friends. Odysseus is home now, and Athena made sure it was here for him to come back to.

In the end, they finally understand each other, standing where the other first started, and being able to forgive.

Because (like Penelope and Telemachus), to Athena, Odysseus was never a monster, he was always Just a Man

I am Odysseus from mostly the Iliad/Odyssey (and various other mythological sources not including the Telegony), but also certain aspects of EPIC: The Musical.

!! This is not an rp blog !! I am fictionkin, and actually am Odysseus (or at least an Odysseus; greetings to all the other Odysseus(es? Odyssei?) who reads this!). Just to clarify beforehand :]
