I think that Chip's luck comes in some sort of waves. Phases, if you will. There are times in this campaign when he's just perfectly fine and he's getting good rolls left and right, and then there are certain arcs in which literally nothing goes well for the guy. I mean, I know we're having a complicated relationship with destiny as of now, but it must be some sort of cruel streak of faith to roll a nat20 for your own impulse to drink a clearly toxic beverage from the depths of hell, survive it only cause you died tragically two episodes ago, have an agonizing experience of climbing a mountain of Black ice which leaves you blinded for the next two hours only to be ambushed halfway to the top and forced to take a quiz about the guy you briefly knew 10 years ago, when you were 9. And on top of that, you also have to acknowledge the existance of the unholy abomination of a mountain goat you helped to create and now can't get rid of, cause your fish got attached. And the thing dares to stand there an baa at you, cause somehow this demon made of the corrupted snow and Water is still more holy than your undead body. Black Sea Arc is just not a good time to be Chibo, I feel.

Like textually, she's being condecending af, (the ushe, il her), but i feel like subtextually, she's like.. genuinely worried bc she's spent seven years working to prevent people in power from using kids as weapons for war ?????

Like she's got an aloof image to uphold, sure, but i Feel like she actually rly cares and is worried. AND worried x2 that her worry will endanger the nein and the mission.

Fjord consequently catches on and is like "Bro ur So Overworked, u need to focus on u for a bit gd"

In the intro to night vale it's said that you can listen in no specific order and just the chosen episodes but honestly? I'm enjoying the ride from the beginning so much?? Catching all the little references to the past, gradually getting to know more characters and their stories, and consistently falling in love with everything. Idk if I'd enjoy listening as much if i skipped or didn't go chronologically, i love this podcast so much, please give it a try it's so worth it

Concerning sigma (in bullet points bc i'm exhausted)

This contains spoilers for the last few manga chapters+the complete 5th season of the anime

Dazai promised. Dazai may be a lot of things, but he would not lie about something like that. He was also too calm after Fyodor's death for sigma too also be dead. Sure, he said he doesn't have any quips "today", but if Sigma had died - he would feel terrible, like he really was the monster and like he's failed yet another person. (Just remember his reaction when the man of the ADA's café was attacked in one of the earlier seasons. He cares.) This is a promise Dazai would never break.

Sigma has the answers to all the unanswered questions concerning fyodor (motive, life, ability). While I personally think it would be cheap and boring to just talk about Fyodor's ability and motive after he's already dead, Sigma still holds the key information that no-one else has access to.

That being said, Fyodor's death was incredibly underwhelming and I'm unsure how the ADA will get a better (better fit for the protagonists as well as more dangerous) villain/antagonist after. I'm afraid they'd all pale in comparison. Though Nikolai's reaction to his death was so well made, it was genuinly impeccable.

We Don't Need No Stinkin' Continuity

Maybe it's petty of me to keep carping on this, Heartland writers, but if you can't keep even something like this straight...

Maybe we are living in a divergent Heartland timeline, and have been for a while.

Maybe we're in the DeadTy! Universe, where Ty dies (obviously); where Jack had a sister named June whose burial plot is right there in front of everyone's eyes, but no one ever wondered who she was or asked about her because Jack never mentioned her (until Luke happened to notice it); whose lovely little sketch inspired the Heartland Ranch brand, and who should have been alive when Jack married Lyndy; a timeline where Lyndy is buried at the Heartland family plot (and has a headstone we never saw until Jess took a picture of Jack standing in front of it) instead of Jack having spread her ashes in the river like he so poignantly revealed to Lisa on their first real date.

Didn't anyone compile a series bible for this show?
