The 118 are at the hospital, Maddie just gave birth. Chimney calls them in, in pairs, as to not overwhelm the baby too much. Buck and Eddie are the first to go in —together, because why wouldn't they.
Buck holds the baby, and talks to it so earnestly it's compelling. And Eddie is standing beside Chimney, watching them starstruck. Eddie asks Chim about the baby's name. Chimney smiles, and "Joy."
Buck and Joy. Buck is holding Joy. And it hits Eddie then, what an ironic and heartbreaking realization that all this time Buck has been holding Joy.

I've seen the headcanons with Megatron (ıt's delightful but i get a little sad at the headcanons involving Op and his blackling disease). I wonder if you have headcanons for Optimus or Strongarm Sideswipe ? 👉👈
By popular demand, please enjoy this compendium of Daddimus headcanons!
Optimue Prime/Omar Parvez used to smoke while he worked in the Dead End (mainly due to the stress), but gave up the habit when he was demoted to a dockworker.
He's the long-suffering mediator between the souls of the twelve Primes currently locked in the Matrix which he now bears. It's not unusual to hear him seemingly talking to or negotiating with himself, and Prima and Megatronus' catfights comprise the majority of his headaches.
Omar doesn't like being called Prime, but accepts it reluctantly as a rank. Those close to him only refer to him as Omar, or Optimus on a more formal basis. 'Prime' is who he is to the wider world, and was a rank unwittingly accorded to him by Alpha Trion/Aillard Toussaint. This happened when Aillard, upon facing an increasingly megalomaniacal Sentinel/Sedgewick who was trying to fashion himself as the next Prime and had arrested him under sedition charges for associating with Omar and owning banned literature, told Sedgewick that Omar was "more of a Prime than you'll ever be." That was captured on recording, and went viral very quickly, and Omar was being associated with the rank 'Prime' at a time when he was still using 'Orion Pax' as a codename. Optimus ('the best' ie. 'the best of us'), was co-opted by his supporters to counter Sedgewick's attempt to fashion himself as 'Sentinel Prime', defender of order. It's not until Omar comes back from the dead with a strange bauble embedded in his chest that he starts going by Optimus -sigh fine- Prime, to distance himself from his a nickname given to him by a now-enemy.
He has a love for rearing pigeons passed down from his father, who built a makeshift dovecote on the roof of their apartment. The pigeons on Aillard's estate know his face and answer to his call when he goes out to feed them daily. He has each one named and tagged, and even without food, they still flock to him.
He is the imam of the Muslim Autobot prayer congregation which comprises Hotspot/Hassan, Trailbreaker/Tariq, Steeljaw/Salim, First Aid/Fatima, Ramhorn/Raminah, and later on Streetwise/Shamar.
As such with the info above, is usually the first person awake on the base on any given day.
Excellent in the kitchen. Loves making Tapsi (a Kurdish aubergine casserole) for himself as a post-battle treat, but also makes a beef stroganoff bonkers enough that old college buddy Elita-One/Alisa Ivanova, upon finally being able to land on earth after dealing with Liege Maximo's bullshit, immediately hauls Omar into the nearest kitchen so he can make that specific dish for her.
You'll notice that Ratchet/Ronan has a patch of dark skin on one side of his face (Inspired from Osamu Tezuka's Dr Blackjack). As part of his torture when he was captured and held by Bludgeon, half his face was flayed. After Omar rescued Ronan, he donated skin to him for a temporary allograft. However, even at a point where Ratchet was well enough to receive an autograft from his own body, he refused since his body had not rejected Omar's allograft, and he wanted to keep it as it was as a symbol of the deep friendship the two of them share and the sacrifice Omar made for him.
Omar keeps a sketch that Bumblebee/Benjamin drew of him on his desk.
He makes time for Ben whenever Ben is laid up in medical bay, whether it's reading to him, watching his favorite shows he missed during field missions together, or just humming to him until he sleeps.
He's a pianist who plays by ear mostly, and time spent with Ben includes playing during Ben's ballet practice. You can tell what his stress levels are by the tempo of the pieces he's playing---if he sounds like he's setting the keys on fire, he has grievances he clearly needs to work out.
Omar has in his possession the once-beloved water-damaged notebook in which Megatron/Morgan first wrote notes for Towards Peace in---he had wanted to return it to Morgan when he found it outside his precinct station, but was too late as Morgan had already been shipped to Messatine when he came to the mines. For a decade, he kept it with him, and when Morgan came back, he tried to return it. However, Morgan, while grateful for the gesture, refused to take it back and told him to toss it or burn it, as it was "penned by a witless, childish fool", which he wasn't anymore. Omar refused to do so, and it remains in the drawer of his study desk---when he's feeling quietly hopeless, he'll open it up and see the pages where he and Morgan in their youths had drafted ideas together for a better system, and he's back to the drawing board. He refuses to give up on the hope for a better world, or that the Morgan he knew is completely gone.
His mother was a journalist who had experience running an underground publication network in Iran, and it was from her experience that Omar collated and distributed the notes from Messatine written by Morgan, which made up the full copy of Towards Peace. In essence, for better or worse, Omar is the reason Morgan's words spread as swiftly as they did on earth.
He also has a Youtube channel specifically dedicated to a little book club Blaster/Brandon had encouraged him to open up, after Brandon one day invited him to speak on an Autobot radio show and the number of listened spiked significantly. On this channel, he usually reads from a book of the month and discusses its themes/characters, as well as fields questions about his favorite written works in general. He has also at times, chosen books that Morgan enjoyed in their younger days. Whether he knows that Morgan sometimes listens in on him is something he'll brush off, but on the off chance that Morgan does tune in… he still thinks about you, old friend.
Turkish tea fiend.
Green thumb from setting up an urban garden in the Dead End, regularly tends to the communal garden at the Autobot base alongside Sludge/Slavomir and Hound/Hale.
In his early days as Optimus Prime, suffered from internal burns, severe chest pains (he said it felt like the sun burning up in his chest) and shortness of breath after major use of the Matrix's powers in battle. Note that back then, using the Matrix's powers wasn't aways a choice he consciously made, as it treated him like a host and would react to/be triggered by serious threats. The only reason the Matrix stayed in him then, was because neither Ratchet nor Wheeljack could figure out how to safely remove it, and there was fear that despite the way it was affecting him, it was what was keeping him alive and was too ingrained with his neural network to be parted from him.
Per the above, he was actually in chronic pain which he was medicated for and hid very well, up to the point where he finally made contact with the volatile, conglomerated mess of Prime souls in the Matrix during a coma and managed to calm them down/'untangle' them.
There is a little cairn at the roots of largest tree in Alpha Trion's estate where Omar's pigeons most often roost, which he set up for his father, Mirzan, who was killed by his former mentor Sedgewick on charges of disseminating seditious literature. He's never been able to retrieve his father's body and consequently, give the man a proper burial, and he feels guilty about it to this day.

A Better Man, Part 5 - Warmth
Summary: Bucky inspects Andrea’s brownstone finding a host of problems that could derail the renovation. His mother, Winnifred Barnes comes to dinner, to meet Andrea and Lily.
Length: 5.8 K
Characters: Steve, Bucky, Andrea, Winnifred Barnes.
Warnings: Bucky’s anxiety, Winnifred remembering the real trauma that Bucky suffered as a child.
Author notes: More twists. My knowledge of house inspections comes from watching Mike Holmes, Scott McGillivray and Bryan Baeumler home renovation shows. If you’re Canadian, you know who I mean.

Part 5
Since Mrs. Parker, Sam and Steve had everything under control at the office, Bucky took his tool belt and everything he needed to check the house with him, when he took the money to pay off Officer Rollins. He tried to temper his growing irritation at the man as he drove to where Rollins had pulled over their truck. It was a dick move on the officer's part but also somewhat unprecedented. He wondered if Hydra Contracting was behind it, as he knew Rollins was friendly with Rumlow. Peter Quill had reported that Rollins had been seen at several of Hydra's nightclubs over the past month, sometimes in uniform, sometimes not, although the latter appearances tended to be at their strip clubs. No doubt if he were connected to Hydra, he would be advising them on Barnes Contracting moving all their inventory sooner.
Pulling up behind the police car, Bucky could see Rollins sitting in the front seat. Taking the envelope of cash with him, he got out of his car and stood beside the open car window.
"Barnes," said Rollins, lazily. "About time you got here."
"You got paid off last week," replied Bucky. "This request took us by surprise, and it took us time to gather enough bills together, plus we're busy."
"I figured that," said the police officer. "What's the deal with the sudden activity?" He gestured to the truck. "Your idiot driver wouldn't tell me anything."
"Just have some renovation work coming up that I need my crew for, that's all. Do you want this or not?"
A car passed them, and they both watched until it was out of sight before Rollins put his hand out. Bucky looked around to make sure no one was watching or taking pictures then blocked the view of him handing Rollins the envelope. The man opened it, quickly going through the bills.
"It better all be here, or I'll be stopping another one of your trucks," he warned. He looked out the window at Bucky, smirking. "Have a nice day."
Starting his vehicle up, Rollins pulled out of his spot, making Bucky move aside to let the car go. He walked to the cab of the truck where Scott was sitting. Pulling himself up on the step he leaned inside the open window.
"What happened?"
"Came to a complete stop at a stop sign then took the turn. Next thing I know I hear the siren and pull over. He wanted to know what we were moving. Told him it was a sealed shipment, and I didn't know, then he said he noticed a lot of our trucks out today. What was going on? Told him I only did as I was ordered and didn't ask why. He said I didn't come to a complete stop and if I didn't want the truck seized, he wanted $500. Has he always been a dick?"
Bucky huffed. "Pretty much. Keep an eye out for any of Hydra's men. I know Rollins is buddies with Rumlow. If they find out we're moving a lot of inventory in a short time they might think something is up."
"Something is up, isn't it?" asked Scott. "I was surprised when Sam pulled us off of moving the furniture today. Did she change her mind about the renovation?"
"The less you know, the better," said Bucky. "She didn't change her mind. Just get these deliveries done and you'll get the furniture moved when you can. I'm going there now to assess the actual repairs that need to be done. The way this day is going I wouldn't be surprised if I find asbestos."
"That wouldn't be good."
He started the truck and Bucky hopped off then returned to his car, watching as it drove away. He sat there for a time, thinking, then started his car up, determined to get to the house and do something there today. There was no parking spot close by when he arrived so he parked where he could and put his tool belt on, then grabbed his pen and notebook. Entering the house, he locked the door behind him then breathed out.
It had been a while since he last did an inspection of a house to give someone an estimate. At that time, the owner, a higher-ranking member of a certain crime family, offered him half the estimate to do the job, claiming a professional discount. When Bucky told him that was the price quoted the man had laughed in his face, then told him to fuck off. He went with Sitwell Renovations, who used stolen building materials, and stiffed a few of their subcontractors, then used substandard ones to finish the jobs. The original subcontractors weren't able to get their money, because they couldn't put a lien on the homeowner or else he would come after them. It was wrong on so many levels, including the knowledge that Sitwell likely bribed some of the inspectors to approve the finished product.
You're getting upset again. Stop fixating about Sitwell Renovations.
Heading up to the top floor, Bucky found the attic access and opened it, pulling down the ladder. Heading up, he pulled his flashlight out and shone it on the underside of the roof. There were several water stains, some of them with mold on them, which concerned him. It meant they would have to treat the mold as well as replace the roof. Directing the flashlight onto the floor he saw more water stains. One of the boards was broken and he used his hammer to pry it up, swearing when he saw the old insulation.
Shit, it's likely asbestos.
He knew a guy who could test it to be sure, but he wasn't touching it, if it was. He would have to get an abatement team in to deal with it before his guys did any work. If it was up here, it could also be in the lower floor walls. He did another walk around the space, looking at the wiring, noting it was old copper. Since they would have to pull it anyway, they might be able to take the old stuff in for recycling. That could help offset the cost. He made some notes in his book, then headed back down the ladder and slid it back into place.
Even though Andrea only showed him the ceiling water stains on this level he still did a thorough inspection. Taking out a screwdriver he unscrewed a wall vent and shone his flashlight on the metal venting, looking for any rough edges that would give him an idea if the insulation here was asbestos as well, but he didn't see anything of note and replaced it. Noticing the original light fixtures, he made a note to ask if Andrea wanted to keep them or update them. There was always a demand for the older ones as certain places tried to keep their original look. Personally, he tried to keep the fixtures original but update everything around them, in a similar style. He would have to ask her if the fixtures all worked, since he didn't want to use the electricity to check for himself, knowing the mess the electrical panel was in. If they didn't all work, they should be replaced, otherwise he would have to take them to a specialty place to be restored.
From there he checked out the bathroom on this floor. The floor, done in a mosaic tile was mostly intact but there were a few broken individual tiles. They could be replaced but it might be hard to replicate the faded colour. Still, it was a nice pattern, almost art deco looking. The bathroom fixtures, other than the clawfoot tub were all in need of replacing. The tub could be refinished and spruced up. Turning the taps he listened for a water hammer noise but there was none. That was good as it meant the plumbing was in good shape, but he should check the pipes to make sure they were copper and not lead.
On the second floor, he checked all the windows but only the one bedroom had the water damage around them. Gently prying off the interior casing on them, he saw the caulking on the outside trim had dried out and crumbled, opening the gap to the elements. Opening the window, he leaned out as far as he could to check the brick façade, but it seemed intact, so the water damage was likely from the caulking. Still, he would need to bring a ladder over and go up to check it to be sure. When the guys came to move the furniture, he would ask Clint to bring a ladder and leave it in the house. He might as well check as much of the façade as he could. Once again, he tried to check for asbestos through the vents but who ever did the HVAC did a great job of sealing it from the insulation. It was a testament to the skill of those tradesmen.
Checking the bathroom on this level, he noticed water damage on the mosaic floor tiles, as the grout had crumbled and chipped away. Like the upper-level bathroom, the fixtures needed replacing. He checked the taps, looking under the sink for leaks but there were none there. Getting on his knees he shone his flashlight under the clawfoot tub then ran the water and watched as drips formed underneath, a leak from the tub itself. Once he got up on the ladder he would confirm if there was additional leakage in the outside façade. It could be a combination of the two that was showing up on the floor below. He added it to the lengthening list of repairs.
With a sigh, he headed down to the main floor, confirming the water stains again. The dining room was in good shape, so he headed to the kitchen. Casting a critical eye on it, he checked the floor to make sure it was level, then checked the plumbing, hearing the soft plunk of dripping water. Underneath the sink cabinet he found a leak dripping from where the plumbing came out of the wall. As he looked at it, he had a sinking feeling and ran downstairs, lighting the way with his flashlight. Ignoring the electrical panel, he went past it to underneath where the kitchen sink was. He didn't even look at this area the other night because the light went out and Andrea kicked him out before he got this far into the lower level. When he saw the exterior wall, he groaned.
There was efflorescence on it and the concrete was still wet in an area near a crack which had shifted the plumbing so that it was no longer aligned, causing not just the leak in the kitchen. This was a major repair that could cause structural damage if it wasn't taken care of. Never mind everything else that needed work, this crack, the water damage, the electrical panel, the roof, the possible asbestos insulation, and external water leaks would all have to be fixed before anything else inside could be tackled. No wonder Andrea couldn't get a loan for renovations. His gaze landed on the furnace and hot water tank, which he hadn't even looked at yet. He knew in his gut that this place was going to be a money pit. How was he going to tell her?
After saying goodbye to Bucky that morning, Andrea cleaned up the breakfast dishes, started some laundry and unpacked more of her boxes, sorting her clothes in the walk-in closet. She also looked at what food was in the freezer and pantry, wanting to make something good for Bucky as a thank you for his help. Taking some pork chops out, she checked the pantry, remembering she had brought some potatoes. She checked the fridge, satisfied that there were enough fresh vegetables to make a complete meal, although she did have to go out and get a few things from the grocery store. Lily was fed, then went down for a nap leaving Andrea some free time. Taking advantage of the home gym, she worked out a little bit then showered, dressed, and explored the selection of books in Bucky's bookcase. Just as she settled in a chair a phone rang in the apartment. With her cell phone beside her, Andrea wondered if Bucky left his cell phone behind but instead, the sound led her to a landline that she answered with a hesitant "hello." A woman's voice greeted her.
"Hello. You must be Andrea."
"Yes."
"I'm Winnifred Barnes, Bucky's mother. He told me that he offered you a place to live while he renovated your home. I just wanted to make sure you got settled in."
That was nice. "Yes, my daughter Lily and I are getting used to being here. He's been very kind to us."
"I'm glad to hear it. Would you object to me visiting you this afternoon? I had some things to drop off for Bucky, but I would like to meet you and your daughter."
"Why don't you come for supper, as well?" asked Andrea. "I was going to make a nice dinner for him and there should be more than enough for three."
"You're sure it won't be too much trouble?"
"I'm sure. Please, I would like you to come."
She could almost hear the older woman smile through the telephone call. When Mrs. Barnes accepted the invitation, her voice was kind and warm. It reminded Andrea very much of her grandmother. As soon as Lily woke up, she would get her ready for a walk and get to the store for the few things she needed. In the meantime, she made herself something for an early lunch and turned on some music while she ate and read a book. She transferred the laundry from the washing machine to the dryer, just before Lily awakened.
A short time later, she was back in the apartment after the walk to the grocery store, and began prepping the food so she could slip everything into the oven. The pork chop and potato casserole was easy to prepare and with the addition of some mushrooms and sliced onions plus some extra seasoning Andrea was sure it would be appreciated. Just as she got it into the oven to bake for an hour, the elevator door opened, and Bucky walked in.
"Hi," she said cheerfully, as he entered the kitchen. "How was your day?"
"A little stressful," he admitted. "How was yours?"
"Great," she smiled. "We went for a walk to the grocery store, and I picked up a few extra things for dinner. We're having a guest."
"Who?" he asked.
"Your mother. She called to say that she had to drop some things off, so I invited her to dinner." She noticed his face. "That's alright, isn't it?"
Bucky realized he was frowning and shook it off. "Yeah, it's good. I'm just surprised, that's all. She usually drops things off at the office, but I was at the house most of the day so maybe she wanted to talk to me in person." He noticed her face. "Don't worry about my mother. She's great and she'll love you and Lily. Before she comes, I need to talk to you about the house."
At that moment, the landline rang, and Bucky answered it to the announcement that his mother was there. He gave the okay to let her up. The news about the house was going to have to wait. Soon, the elevator door opened and Winnifred Barnes strode in, carrying a bakery box. Bucky took it from her, receiving a kiss on the cheek. They both entered the kitchen.
"Ma, this is Andrea Hart and her daughter Lily. Andrea, this is my mother, Winnifred Barnes."
"It's a pleasure Mrs. Barnes," said the younger woman, extending her hand. "You brought dessert? You didn't have to."
"It was the least I could do after practically inviting myself for dinner. You must call me Winnie." Andrea began to protest but Winnifred waved her objections away, then looked at Lily. "This little angel is beautiful. Bucky, help me get my coat off so I can hold her. She's okay with strangers?"
"Mostly," said Andrea. "She likes Mrs. Parker and Sam, and Bucky held her for a time."
His mother grinned at him, delighting in the fact that he was blushing about holding a baby. He took her things, hanging her coat up and placing her purse in the living room. When he returned to the kitchen, he watched his mother cooing over Lily, who lapped up the attention from the older woman.
"She is adorable," smiled Winnifred. "You must be a wonderful mother to have such a happy baby."
"Thank you but it's all her," said Andrea. "She's been content from the start."
"Ma, come sit in the living room." Bucky led them all there, waiting until the women sat down before he did. "What was it you brought for me to see?"
"Oh, that can wait," said Winnifred. "It was nothing too important. So, have you done the inspection of Andrea's house for the renovation?"
Both women looked at him, expectantly, and he suddenly felt as if he were in a hot seat.
"Yes, I spent much of the day there," he replied, hesitantly. "I was just going to tell Andrea about it when you arrived." They still looked like they wanted to hear more. "It's not good news. There's mold in the attic from the leaking roof. I suspect you have asbestos insulation, but I'll need to get someone in to confirm that and they would have to do an abatement if it is asbestos." He sighed, then looked away, his face pained. "Those windows will have to be replaced as the caulking has dried up and crumbled away which is letting in rain. You already know about the electrical panel. There's a crack in the foundation that's letting in water, and it's messed up the plumbing in the kitchen. All of that has to be fixed before we can even think about fixing the water leak damage inside. Your bathroom fixtures need updating although we can salvage the tubs and get them refinished. Although your furnace and hot water tank are functional, they're pretty old and should be replaced." He ran his hand through his hair. "Your kitchen needs a total update as well. I'm sorry but it's going to cost a lot of money to do it. I suspect the bank looked at your old list of things to fix and didn't think it was worth it. With this new list, it's going to be a lot for me to cover. I would like to do it, but I want you to know what you're getting yourself into. My estimate of three months is easily doubled and right now I think it's going to cost around $150,000 to just do the basics. I'm sorry. I wish I had better news."
Andrea took it better than he was expecting. She was disappointed, something that he felt in his gut as she looked at Lily before examining her hands. Then she smiled wanly at him.
"It's alright," she said quietly. "The bank pretty much said the same thing, even though the list I gave them was smaller. They said it had been their experience that these older places had a lot of issues that had to be addressed even before tackling the cosmetic fixes." She sighed and stood up. "Thank you for being honest with me. Excuse me for a moment."
She left Lily with Winnifred and headed towards her room, as Bucky followed her with his eyes, feeling utterly helpless that he had to disappoint her. His mother watched him.
"You should go to her," she said. "I can stay with Lily."
"Ma ...."
"Go to her," she smiled. "She's worth it."
It was the first time his mother had ever said that about any woman he brought home for her to meet. Gently, he knocked on the door. He could hear crying inside.
"Andrea, may I come in?"
There was the sound of her blowing her nose, then she opened the door and began to cry again. Stepping inside, he hugged her, as she wept. He wished he knew what to say but something told him that what he was doing was probably what she needed most. Eventually, she calmed herself and pulled away, grabbing some more tissues. To see her with swollen red eyes and puffy cheeks was almost more than Bucky could bear.
"We'll find a way to do it," he said. "Somehow, I'll fix it for you."
"I can't ask you to do that," she uttered, her voice almost broken. "You have a business to run and that's a lot of money to cover."
"You're not asking. I'm offering." For a moment, he looked down, trying to say something meaningful. "Please, let me help you."
"Why are you doing this? I mean, what's the real reason?"
He envisioned a repeat of what happened in her basement a few days ago but even with what he did for his living, he had always been as truthful as he could be. He wasn't ready to tell her about his usual job, but he could tell her about his feelings. Gesturing to her to sit on the bed, he sat beside her.
"I've always been the quiet type," he said. "That trauma I referred to this morning messed with my head a little and it made me very introverted. In high school, I didn't date much but I had a few girlfriends, nothing serious. They weren't really interested in the real me. They just saw me as a good-looking guy who liked to please them. When my thing about blood became known they didn't even see me as that. I was weird Bucky." She placed her hand on his, smiling kindly at him. God, she's beautiful. "I had one serious relationship with Dot; I told you about her. After her, I didn't date at all. It was just easier. Then you walked into my life. The guys told me about this beautiful woman with a baby who just made their day with her presence and that's when I came outside that first time with Sam and Steve. They were right, you did make my day, and the more I saw you, the more I wanted to know you."
"Bucky, what are you saying?" Andrea was focused on him, her face serious. "Are you in love with me?"
"I don't know if it's love," he admitted. "I thought I knew what love was when I was with Dot, but it was all one-sided. I know that I like being with you and Lily. I don't feel alone or weird when I'm with you and when you cried just now, all I wanted to do was hold you and be there for you." He realized he was stroking her hand and stopped then looked at her. "If you don't feel the same for me, that's alright; we can be friends because I just don't want to be without you in my life and if you have to sell the house and move away then I might never see you again, and I don't think I can bear that."
She smiled at him as he kept talking then placed her hand on his cheek, making him stop.
"I wish I had met you instead of Brock," she murmured. "You are the sweetest man I have ever met. Dot was stupid to do what she did to you. Although there might be the beginnings of something between us, I'm not ready to take that next step right now. But I'm willing to take it slow with you and see where this leads us. Is that enough for now?"
His smile was almost beatific in its brilliance and Andrea felt her own insides warm up a little. She had to admit to herself that when he held her, she felt safe in his arms. The emotional warmth that emanated from him and even his mother, was something she really missed since her grandmother died. As for the house, she could sell it, but it would be at a significant discount as she would have to disclose the issues with it. In this market, that money wouldn't go far in buying a similar sized place. Even though the logical thing would be to sell it, a part of her pictured her and Lily there, baking cookies in the kitchen, or doing homework together at the table. From the moment she moved in there when she was pregnant it felt like home, her real home. Then a vision of Bucky coming in the front door as if he lived there with them suddenly entered her head, almost making her gasp audibly. Maybe she was meant to meet him, then to live with him as a roommate. Maybe, eventually they were meant to be more. Regardless, he was willing to help her, and she really liked the idea of him working on that place, knowing that he wanted to please her. Taking a deep breath, she stood up, making him stand up with her.
"Alright, somehow we'll figure out how to finance this," she said. "Friends?"
"Friends," he smiled. For now.
Returning to the living room, they found his mother still entranced with Lily, as she told her a story. It was a side of his mother Bucky hadn't seen before, realizing that she was acting like a grandmother. His younger sister was also unmarried and had no kids, so that meant Lily was the closest thing she had to a grandchild. She looked up at them.
"Are you alright, Andrea?"
"Yes, Mrs. Barnes, I'm good. Bucky helped settle me down."
"Winnie, I insist." The older woman looked down at the little girl in her arms before looking up at the pair. "Well, I'm glad. Whenever you two wish to go out, for any reason, you call me, and I'll come over in a flash to be with this little doll."
Lily kicked her feet a little and waved her hands towards Winnifred, making her laugh. The timer on the oven went off and Andrea went to see to it, while Bucky set the table. His mother, watching from the living room area, knew there was definitely something good about those two and she would do her part to make sure it bloomed into something better. This little girl needed a father and a grandmother. If Andrea's parents were too proud to make amends with their daughter, then she was more than willing to take their place.
Dinner was pleasant for all of them, with compliments from Bucky and his mother about the meal. The dessert brought by Winnifred, a cheesecake, was also appreciated. As Bucky cleaned up, Andrea took Lily to the bedroom to nurse her and get her ready for bed. She brought her out to say goodnight to Winnifred and Bucky, with both holding the baby in turn, and kissing her goodnight. It reinforced every hope that Bucky had for a relationship with Andrea, although he tried to temper the strong emotions he was feeling for her. After she had tucked her daughter in, Andrea returned to the living room where Bucky and his mother sat, having some tea.
"Well, I have enjoyed myself immensely," said Winnifred. "I do have to go but I meant what I said about looking after Lily anytime you need someone. She is a sweet child."
"I'll keep that in mind, Winnie," said Andrea. "It was very nice to meet you."
"Bucky, would you see me out to my car?" asked his mother.
"Sure, Ma," he replied, figuring she wanted a private word with him.
On the way down in the elevator, she made her thoughts known.
"She is lovely. What did you two decide when you went to her?"
"I told her I had feelings but that I don't know if it's love. She's not ready for another relationship yet but if it's meant to be then she wants to take it slow. I'm going to do the renovations. I'll find the money somehow."
"I'll give it to you," said Winnifred. She looked up at her son. "You don't have to tell her it's coming from me."
"Ma, you don't have to," he protested. "I'm sure that we'll get the business we need from the renovation side of the company. I can put a sign in the window of her place that we're working there. Maybe that will drum up business to make up for having to cut back on the other side of things."
"What are you talking about?" she asked, looking up at him again. "What's happened to your usual revenue stream?"
Uh oh. "I thought you knew. I assumed Steve mentioned it but maybe he was afraid you would be angry with him. Andrea's best friend hit it off with Steve and they went out together. She figured out that Barnes Construction isn't entirely legitimate." The elevator doors opened, and he stopped talking as they walked through the lobby, resuming when they were outside. "Turns out she's a cop and she's not turning us in, but she suggested we get rid of our shipments sooner rather than later. We're supposed to be on some task force's radar. If they show up and we don't have the evidence lying around, then they can't do much to us."
His mother was quiet until they got to her car. She stood in front of it apparently processing what her son told her.
"Well, maybe it was meant to happen then," she finally said. "You did say you would go legit for her. Maybe this is the way you go about it. Just be careful who else knows about that end of the business as it can open you up to blackmail. By the way, who is Lily's father? You told me before that he's with one of your competitors."
"Brock Rumlow."
He didn't notice how his mother seemed bothered for a moment, as he was distracted by a couple of joggers going by on the sidewalk. She placed her hand on his cheek, receiving a kiss on hers in return, then Bucky opened her car door and made sure she was buckled in before he closed it. As she pulled away, she watched her son cross the road, realizing she never gave him the documents she brought him. As soon as she was out of sight, she pulled into the first opening she saw and took her cell phone out. For a moment she hesitated then she dialled a number. It rang several times before it was answered.
"I have a problem," she said. "My son is in love with a very nice single mother. I just found out the father of her child is Brock Rumlow. You know what Pierce will do if he finds out about the baby." She listened for a moment then interrupted. "I don't care. I need protection on the woman and her child. They are important to me and to my son. If anything happens to them .... Thank you, Fury. I appreciate it. One other thing. Is Barnes Construction in the crosshairs of one of the gang task forces?" Whatever was said obviously satisfied her because she smiled. "I heard it from several sources but thank you for running interference for us. I appreciate that. My son is turning the company into a legitimate business, but any raids would make that difficult. I trust you'll advise me if anything is in the works? As long as it doesn't interfere with the other business, I'll take you at your word."
She hung up then and thought back to that horrible night so many years ago when Nick Fury, now the District Attorney, but then a hotshot lawyer in the District Attorney's office came to her with a pouch of diamonds and asked her to hold them for him. No questions were asked as to their origin or their destination. It was a quid pro quo situation; a favour to be paid back later. Except two nights later a corrupt cop, Henry Rumlow, showed up with a thug provided by his brother-in-law, Alexander Pierce, a general contractor willing to get his hands dirty. Rumlow demanded the diamonds. George, her husband, refused to say anything, as did she. The thug began beating George up, hitting him over and over again. That's when Bucky came out of the bedroom hallway holding his father's gun and pointing it at Rumlow.
"Leave my dad alone," he said, in his terrified six-year-old voice.
Rumlow started laughing.
"Your kid didn't even turn off the safety," he crowed, then reached for his own gun and pointed it at Bucky.
In a scream of rage, George head butted the thug, stunning him, then tackled Rumlow, fighting for his son's life. In the struggle, Rumlow's gun went off and he laid there bleeding out from a stomach wound. Carefully, George took the gun from Bucky, as Winnifred bundled him up and took him back to the bedroom. Then George did something he never thought he would do again after Grenada. He killed a man, using Rumlow's gun to shoot the thug when he roused and attacked George again. He called his right-hand man, Tim Dugan, to help. The big man, loyal to the core, helped carry the bodies out of the house, loading them into Rumlow's car trunk, that they lined with a tarp. While Dugan drove Rumlow's car, George took a company truck, driving out to an isolated spot. They staged the fight there, making it look like the two men fought each other before both received a fatal wound with Rumlow's service pistol. They left Rumlow's car there and George drove Dugan home. By the time he returned to their house, Winnie had cleaned up all the blood. He burned the tarp and his bloody clothes in a metal garbage can.
Other than Fury, who promised to make sure the deaths were not traced to them, no one else knew what really happened, although Pierce must have worked it out since he sent his man with Rumlow to steal the diamonds. Winnifred, who had whispered to Bucky never to speak of it, worried about him over the years, wondering if he was scarred for life. Other than being a quiet introverted person, with an aversion to blood, she was sure he had forgotten everything else that happened 27 years ago. Bucky's safety and happiness were everything to her. If Andrea and Lily made him happy then she would do all she could to keep them safe.

hi yes have you considered the reader finding a very wet, tired Ramon during a rainstorm on the streets and taking them to their place as our lord and saviour yet?
Thank you for the request !
Honestly this is such a good prompt , I can’t tell you how much I loved writing it !
Ramon has suffered so much , this man really does deserve to be taken care of :,I ❤️
Hope this turned out okay !
Details : use of gender neutral reader ;
strangers to lovers ;
presence of mild swearing
< Man … today of all days I had to leave my umbrella home … >
You sighed , looking up at the raindrops falling from the sky while huddling in your jacket’s hoodie to find some warmth in the cold .
It had been a fairly average day , and you were ready to finally return home without anything unusual happening …
… until your eyes wandered off in a nearby alleyway .
< What the … ? >
Maybe it was just the fact that you were a bit tired after work , or maybe it was just your imagination … but you were pretty sure that you spotted the silhouette of someone laying down on the ground , hidden in the darkness .
You looked around , unsure of what to do …
The people passing by didn’t seem to be caring much about it , clearly all too involved in their own business , so eventually your curiosity got the best of you and you ended up walking in the alleyway , knowing full well that it wasn’t the most safe thing to do …
But then again , you had a history of wanting to be there for someone when they where in trouble , no matter who they were .
It only took a few steps in to realize that there was indeed someone there …
And your expression immediately turned into worry when you realized in what poor conditions he was :
he was shaking , his coat unable to give him enough shelter from the rain , and by the looks of it he was at least trying to get some sleep despite the less than welcoming surroundings .
… wait , on second thought didn’t that face seem familiar ?
Yeah , that was Rayman , the guy who hosted the majority of Eden’s shows !
He surely looked a lot … different than usual … and why would he be in such a place right now ?
You kneeled before him , wondering if anyone would’ve come looking for him … he was well known by the whole city after all , it would’ve made sense .
But at the same time you couldn’t leave him there like that …
< *sigh* … okay , carefully now … >
After wrapping him with your jacket , you slowly picked him up from the ground , hearing him groan slightly as you walked away , following a not very crowded road to your house .
It was definitely not quite an average day anymore at least .
*some time later*
< Hnn … wh … what … where … ? >
As Ramon opened his eyes , he noticed that he was in some unknown apartment … with two or three warm blankets covering him up .
Who would be so kind to him now that he was a criminal … ? This had to be some sort of trick … what if one of Eden’s buddies had caught him ?
Paranoia started to overwhelm him , but before he could do anything a door to his left opened , and he wearily watched you walk in the room with two cups of tea in your hand .
Your expression became relieved when you noticed that your guest was up .
< Ah , you’re awake - that’s great !
Sorry , I don’t really have much tea left , I only had the lemon flavored one , I hope that’s okay … >
Ramon looked at the warm cup you had placed in front of him , then back at you , completely baffled by your hospitality …
It was definitely not what he was expecting , and you really didn’t seem like the type of person that would turn around and try to kill him out of the blue … but still , he remained suspicious .
< Now … may I ask what you were doing out here , Mister Rayman ? >
He growled at the mention of his old name , giving you an irritated glare …
< … that’s not my name . Not anymore .
I’m Ramon now . >
, he simply replied , one of his floating hands carefully grabbing the cup of tea , almost like he was afraid of it .
< And what I was doing isn’t really your problem now , is it ? >
You tilted your head , not understanding what he was talking about or the reason behind his hostility …
A long silence followed his words , before Ramon eventually let out a sigh , the feeling of your eyes staring at him in confusion starting to make him feel … pretty bad for lashing out like that .
< … I just … why would you even bother to bring me here ?
I don’t know who you are or what your deal is … for all I know , you could be working with Eden’s assholes to capture me or something … >
His gaze met yours , but he couldn’t find a single trace of malice in it …
< Well … you can trust me when I say that I’m probably the least dangerous person you could run into , so if you’re afraid that I might hurt you I can assure you that’s not gonna happen . >
, you quietly replied , pausing to drink some tea before continuing the conversation .
< I just couldn’t bare the thought to leave you there alone in the rain , so I thought I’d at least bring you to a place that could give you some shelter .
That’s … heh , all there is to it , really .
I understand why you’d be weary of me , like you said , you don’t really know me … but it just felt right , y’know ?
I’m sorry if this is a bit too uncomfortable though … I didn’t mean to make it that way , Ray - sorry … Ramon . >
Maybe it was just because he had gone through so much lately , but the relaxing atmosphere of your home mixed with your soothing voice managed to ease some of Ramon’s tension , and after a moment of hesitation he took a deep breath and took a sip out of the cup of tea he had been holding that whole time .
< You’re good …
To answer what you asked me before , about why I was around here , let’s just say that I’m … currently not on good terms with Eden . >
Anger flashed in his black eyes , as his mind traveled back to the past few hours …
< Turns out those bastards have been using me my whole goddamn life , and I was having none of that shit , so … >
You could see his hands visibly shaking while trying to regain composure .
< … I … the Board of Directors … they’re dead . All of ‘em . They won’t ever put any other innocent Hybrid’s life at stake . >
Your eyes widened , slowly processing that big load of information that he had given you .
< You … killed them ? >
Ramon nodded , without a single word .
< Huh … well , that explains why Eden is looking for you .
Are … you okay ? >
He couldn’t help but look up at you , shocked by how concerned you were about him despite him being a total stranger …
< Wh … I just … >
He chuckled , one of his floating hands covering his eyes as his chuckle turned into laughter .
Ramon had almost forgotten what that felt like … to be cared about .
< Haha … I can’t believe this … how the hell can you just be so - so nice to me , even after I told you I murdered someone ??
God , I don’t get it … I don’t get it … >
Seeing him somewhat happy for the first time since you begun talking brought a strange , warm feeling to your heart that you couldn’t quite explain …
It was … nice .
< Heh , that’s just how I am . >
You slowly got up from your seat , walking towards Ramon to give him a little pat on his shoulder .
< Look , I understand that you’ve been through a lot …
If by any chance you need a place to stay , I … well , I know my apartment is pretty small , but you can stay here for as long as you need . >
Normally Ramon would’ve flinched in front of such a sudden move from anyone else , but with you it was different … he didn’t feel like he needed to fear you , he didn’t know why …
He just stared back into your eyes , nodding in response with a little smile on his face …
< Hm … that sounds like a good plan .
Thank you , uh … >
< You’re welcome …
And you can call me y/n . >

I was in the middle of brainstorming with Madra (nickname i have for @gliphyartfan ) and as I was rambling with her I just had a thought.
How many years would pass before they meet Ava?
Cuz like, if you're gonna look at canon, they're just ACQUAINTANCES so far. They all met slowly by pairs, and as they go along together, they slowly met the rest, until eventually the start of the LU comic finally happens.
But even then, even with the unknown amount of time they all spent with their partners before they met the rest of the group we know them by now, none of them know what had happened to the other during their journeys. I'm talking about very intimate and personal stuff. They could joke some references about it but the full deets? Zipped, locked in a chest buried to the ground 12 feet under.
They're still trying to adjust as they all go on this quest they have. Theyre treading carefully about pasts and secrets and doing their best to be all buddy buddy without risking accidentally setting off sensitive things within the group. Heck, they'd rather not reveal any of them at all.
Why am I mentioning this? Cuz in fanon, we write the chain as if they're very, very close. It's like a lot of time has passed and they all went through a lot of stuff together that theyre all brotherly bonding and everything. Altho ofc this could vary between AUs and stories, the general, majority of what ive seen is that the chain are much closer already than they supposedly are in canon. And this extends to the (yandere) LU x reader community (i think).
I will admit I myself have gotten used to the chain being really close, that theyre like a family and share each other's burdens. So sometimes reading the comic gives me a raincheck cuz theyre still at the acquaintance stages IHSRIUGFRTH That said it's not bad if theyre closer in fanon. I like them when theyre closer. And honestly it's preferrable if they are closer and not acquaintances. Cuz my content will eventually go on some yandere harem themes, one heavily inspired by @gliphyartfan and @yanderelinkeduniverse kind of yandere harem as the chain. Where basically the chain would be united to protect and love darling and put aside their rivalries and whatnot for her sake. If I followed canon and theyre just acquaintances, theyre less likely to eventually unite cuz they dont know these people that well yet, and worse it may destroy any possible future family brotherly bonds they would have. So yeah to make this yandere harem work they gotta at least be closer than canon.
So since I made my decision, it begs the question I just asked earlier, but maybe I should word it better: how much time would have to pass enough for the chain to get close enough before they reach Ava?
It MAYBE would sound like a stretch, but I'm GUESSING it'll be 2-3 or 4-5 years.
Bcs think about it; in canon theyre only acquaintances so far and they JUST learned about Twilight being Wolfie. Legend being a bunny, Four being able to split, those were revealed to only one individual. Theres still secrets not revealed yet and especially big revelations like Sky possibly blaming himself for being the reason the heroes, like him, will be living forever to save Hyrule but suffer a life of loneliness and loss and possibly trauma, or that Time also caused another timeline where he failed to save Hyrule.
Do you think all of the secrets, all of the trenches that every hero has went through, would all of that happen in one year? With how well guarded they are and how theyd rather not talk about their secrets almost forever? No soul to reveal it to?? Well some probs wants to share a lil but the fact of the matter is, is that theyre gonna be vulnerable and theyre gonna open up. But its gonna be a while so really, they cant know each other well enough in one year. In one year, at most, it would be the times during the start of LU Comic and so far and it's not enough I think that they would be sharing burdens and pain and whatnot. Theyre comfy with each other, they cant rlly be that intimate or close about trauma or deep personal secrets just yet. They throw little references of secrets here and there, but the full details are locked in.
So If theyre gonna know each other, like how fanon interprets them in majority of the fanfics, or in the PROCESS of getting to know each other, itll take at least 2-3 years. But it could also possibly more than that. They have a whole package of secrets and things they went through they carry around individually, and there might be some secrets that will never get to be revealed in the end. 2-3 years are the LEAST amount of years that gives them the time to know enough secrets like Legend being a bunny, Sky blaming himself and so on. Not all of the revelations or secrets will be revealed, heck said secrets I used as examples may not BE the kind of secrets that will be revealed during those times or, maybe even AFTER several years have passed they still randomly learn things about the other heroes, but at least in 2-3 years its enough for them to know or have some chunks of ideas of what some or most the rest went through in their adventure. If 2-3 is not enough it could go 4-5 years depending on how much I want to be already revealed KHSIUHKUSUHFK
SO, basically, what's gonna happen is that, the chain will be going for about 2-3 years before they meet Ava. Meaning, they're gonna be aged up.
Which would mean everyone would be in their early twenties or mid twenties, and Wind.. might reach tweens??? I forgot the term IUDHGIUSGHFISF
Hold on lemme do the subject that i dont rlly like: math.
Im just gonna google search their INITIAL ages during the start or end of their adventures: starting of with: Wars!
Wars is 17 in Hyrule warriors, roughly at least.
Now here's the thing: Jojo had a Q&A, and the one of the questions she answered she revealed that there was some time that had passed after their adventure BEFORE they went onto their quest with the rest of the chain. And she said Wars finished his adventure 6-7 years ago. So 17 + 6 or 7, hes about 23 to 24 in canon
Then we add the years in the reboot or Ava's story in LU, AKA: the time he spent w the chain before meeting Ava, which is lets say plus 3: my calcu says he'll be 26 or 27
Twilight is also roughly 17 but finished his adventure 4-5 years ago, so he should be about: 21 or 22 in LU Canon.
Plus 3 in reboot: he'll be 24 or 25
Sky is seemingly the same. Idk if he started 17 and then became 18 at the end of his adventure, but he's basically said to be in similar age to Twilight. He finished his adventure 1-2 years ago, so hes either 18 or 19 Plus 3 reboot: 21 or 22
Wild is... Oh boi: 17. But now 117 technically cuz of the sleep thing. He finished his adventure less than a year ago so nothing's changed. But plus 3 reboot has him in: 120, or 20
And then.. Oh blobs.
Legend is gonna be a HEADACHE 😭😭😭😭
Im gonna make a guesstimate 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
Ok so he had about 4 or 5 adventures
A Link to the Past, Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, KOHOLINT 😭 (Link's Awakening), A link Between Worlds, Idek if I'm gonna include Hytopia
ALTTP def took a year (I heard smth about a year passing when he finished?... Or there was a year break before Leg went off to OOS.) He was 16 or 17 in ALTTP so during that break or right AFTER he finished he would be about 17 or 18 in OOS.
OOS and OOA i'll hc to have taken under one year at most. So he'll be 19 to 20. And then... There was LA, and ALBW, and if were including it, Hytopia too. Those 2 (or 3 w Hytopia), happened within a year from the looks of things. So Leg will be about 20 to 21.
He finished ALL OF THAT, and had a lil mini break from his adventures for about 1 year Jojo said so plus 1 equals to him being 21 to 22 in Canon LU
Plus 3 in the reboot: 24 or 25 🧍♀️
And then.. Hyrule, OHSDFH
Help I searched at google and his first adventure it was said he started at 10 years old TT Then he started his 2nd adventure at 16.. Huh he had a long break before he went on a new one.
Rulie finished his adventure 2 years ago so he should be about 18 in LU canon. Then 3 plus reboot: 21
Next is Four. He's ROUGHLY about 12-15 in the start of his adventure, which his first being in Minish Cap. EDIT: In LU Canon, one of the earlier comics of Jojo, Four said he isn't a child. Implying he's of legal age. So he must be AT LEAST 18. For him to reach that age, he has to be 15 in minish Cap, then four swords must take a year, which makes him 16. So that, and then add what Jojo said he had a break after finishing his adventures for 2 years, that will FINALLY make him 18.
Then finally, plus 3 in the reboot: he would be 21 or 22
And lastly Wind: he is one of the only, or the only honestly, to have canonically dropped an age in the comic and I believe he said he was 12 when he set out. In Jojo's Q&A she said he finished his adventure 1 year ago. That means he's 13 in LU canon, and its further solidified when he said to Malon "I'm almost 14." THEN we add 3 in the reboot: he's simply 16 by then.
No we can't do much with Time. Malon was laughing when the guys guessed he was 60 years old. It's gotta be more than that IGSIUDFGISFG Regardless,.. ugh. He finished his adventure PHYSICIALLY 20 years ago, plus 3 in the reboot... there's 23+ years added to his belt.
Be reminded that the sources I got are from google and the people who stated these ages were also guesstimating everything. So you don't have to take these seriously or just take it with a grain of salt. But regardless, I'll be using these ages in Ava's story/ Ava LU Reboot... I might also apply these ages in my other stories Ava has with the chain-
Okay but with all their ages settled (mostly), do you know what all this realization means to me.
...I might be redesigning the chain...
Wish me luck guys. 🥹
#yandere linked universe#yandere lu#dree talks#ava rosamaryllis#no guys i aint confident abt this one AJSVSKSBSSBK#idk if i actually will redesign#or leave them to save sanity#but id like some of your thoughts#take this with a grain salt tho pls

Stray thought: something I found the "SWK is manipulated into the Havoc!" take often obscures is his fear of death. Y'know, the very reason he begins his quest for immortality in the first place, and I'm glad the LMK show at least paid some homage to.
Death is but one of the many sufferings that accompanies existence and samsara itself. So is his fear of death and the desire to avoid it. The problem is? The way desires and attachments work, getting what you want doesn't solve the deeper issues.
First, he sets out to avoid death for himself. Then he did that, and also made death null for as many of his fellow monkeys as he could find. But it isn't enough, no.
His own immortality will not grant the safety of all of his subjects, his friends, and all the good stuff he has ever gained that rightfully belong to him, mind you, and he is responsible for. So he just needs to find a way to hold onto them, forever and ever and ever.
Since he has an abundance of creativity and intellect, but not the wisdom to match, his solution is to find the "Hows" rather than asking the "Whys".
Keep stacking up the powers, the immortalities, the allies, the weapons, the victory counts——which eventually became its own rewards, the thrills, the satisfaction of getting away with yet another daring heist, the feeling of invulnerability.
But let's go on a tangent and talk about book!SWK. When he came back after getting banished, he found his monkeys bullied by the Monstrous King of Havoc, wrecked the guy, and rescued his subjects. Immediately afterwards, he emptied the armory of Aolai Kingdom to arm his monkeys and robbed the dragon kings blind to arm himself.
Yeah, seeing a bit of a connection here. He is pulling off these heists to protect against perceived threats to him and his people. Then, moving on to the First Havoc, when he came back to his monkeys, he was surprised at just how much time had passed since he departed for the Celestial Realm——10+ years in the Lower Realm!
Yet, after the First Havoc is resolved, he happily stayed in the Celestial Realm for half a year, without remembering that meanwhile, at least a century had passed for his monkeys and demon allies. In a sense, he had become detached from his subjects, despite his first instinct still being "bring my buddies all the divine wine" after he got sober and returned to them.
I don't know you, but I feel like he probably expects everything to stay the same while he was gone. He isn't yet selfish, but certainly self-absorbed, in that he doesn't seem to realize that his actions can have consequences for people other than himself.
Like, if he is in his old "Monkey King" mindset, he may have comprehended that the Celestial Realm will treat him and his monkeys as a single entity that will be collectively punished for his misdeeds. But by becoming the Great Sage, he has drifted away from his duties as a king, which sets the stage for his behaviors during the Second Havoc.
After the 72 caves of demon kings have all been captured during the first wave of attack, his reaction is basically "lol, at least they didn't get any of my monkeys". This, I think, is the point where he is showing true selfishness instead of just being self-absorbed. Like, if I were one of his non-monkey allies and I heard that, I'd be pretty pissed.
The thing with the unrestrained freedom of the Havoc is, by cutting himself loose from all the rules and norms and disregarding every potential consequences, he is also unknowingly severing his tethers to others and alienating himself from his people.
Which is how I interpret SWK becoming so disheartened when his epic battle with Erlang terrified his own subjects into a rout, he just turned and fled——he realized that they, too, were seeing a monster.
He is no longer fighting for his people's safety, but an idea of them, who will always look up to him and do okay without him and never perceive him as a threat, and when that idea is shattered, so does his will to fight on.
I feel like the same could be said for his pursuit of immortality and power: it started off as a way to rid himself of existential fear and defend against concrete threats, but the list of "things I must do to secure my happy eternity and what is rightfully mine" just keeps growing longer and longer, until he's only focused on that sweet, sweet feeling of reward whenever he ticks off a checkbox and tunes out everything else.
After all, the more you have, the more you can potentially lose. A never ending cycle, exacerbated by his desire to never lose, until it all comes crashing down, figuratively and literally.
Back to LMK: People always point out that Azure worships this idea of SWK, and never quite sees SWK as his true, flawed self. Which I agree, but also: SWK does this too. He, too, loses sight of the actual people he's fighting for.
"I did it for US!"
The thing with a claim such as this is, multiple people can all try to do everything for the idea of "us", instead of something that may actually help each other, then feel wronged when their efforts essentially amount to nothing.
"We were all on a path of self-destruction."
For this statement to land, the self-destruction has to genuinely be each character's own doing. The fallout can, and is indeed magnified by what the others did or didn't do, but ultimately, the causes of their consequences come from within themselves: their own obsessions and attachments.
And making SWK the exception, the innocent figurehead and scapegoat, removes the complexity from the character while outright ignoring the few implications of the show that actually have some basis in book canon and are kinda interesting.
I rest my case.

Alright here goes. Buddie and BuckTommy.
I’ll start off by saying, I’m very very neutral on BuckTommy. I am happy Buck is bisexual. I just don’t see what fans of BuckTommy sees and that’s ok. But I am gonna tag it anti BuckTommy because my God I don’t want any hate. That being said, I am and always will be a Buddie shipper.
I also just finished my rewatch of season 5 and gasp, I found out that BuckTaylor wasn’t as bad as I thought it was then. EddieAna was *checks notes* just boring. Anyways, let’s get thoughts written down about what I expect the first three episodes will bring Eddie and Buck.
The first time I read this paragraph, I rubbed my hands together in glee because of angst. When was the last time Buck and Eddie were apart where Buck doesn’t see or have time for Eddie?
If you say season 5, I would say no. Even when Eddie left the 118, Buck was still in touch with Eddie. He had dinner with him and yes, Buck also imploded without Eddie there, they were still Buck and Eddie in 5B.
I think season 3 and the lawsuit was the last time where Eddie couldn’t reach out to Buck. And it seems like maybe this could be the case here. It would great to see Eddie and Buck figure out why they are miserable if they can’t see each other.
Onto BuckTommy. It seems like not much time has passed and this means… Buck and Tommy are still getting to know each other.
However, the word comfortable doesn’t sit right with me. Yes they are a couple but getting comfortable is like when you cat finally gets comfortable in a new setting and starts doing cats things.
Buck, by his definition, is a settler. When his life is in upheaval, like Maddie and Chim leaving and Eddie leaving the 118, he doubles down and settles. It’s those pesky abandonment issues rearing up again.
I think the same is true here. This time, his surrogate dad isn’t there and an asshole takes his place and causing Buck’s world view of the 118 to go sideways. Bobby, for the most part, has been the most consistent things throughout the years for Buck. So replacing Bobby with Gerrard is going to make Buck’s issue more prevalent than they were in season 6 and 7.
We also have the emotional upheaval of Chris leaving. I say this because if there has also been one consistent thing in the past 6 years is that Chris is always there. They have their own special relationship outside of Buck and Eddie. Chris leaving also affects Buck, not as much as Eddie but still makes him feel enough to settle.
Getting comfortable means Buck is going to be like well, these other aspects suck and maybe this could go somewhere.
And then there is Eddie. The Eddie of it all. Buck has always lost it when something happens to Eddie. This time, it isn’t Taylor but a man. A man that by all means friends with Eddie first.
It will interesting to see how Buck juggles Tommy and Eddie and if he realizes that he pulled away from Eddie unintentionally. Mirroring the lawsuit maybe. I do think Eddie is going to be a sore point in the BuckTommy relationship and it should be.
Buck’s entire coming out was centered around Eddie. Tommy was Eddie’s friends, Buck felt bad about lying to Eddie and came out intentionally to Eddie. Then they partied together like it was 1995. Then Eddie blew up his own life and Buck was there to see it happen.
The other thing that could come between Buck and Tommy is Gerrard. I don’t know if Tommy is gonna be like keep your head down, don’t make waves, which I think might be the case. This would make Buck very unhappy and act out a little more. And Eddie can’t really be the emotional support he would need because well.. Eddie is suffering too.
Anyways, the question was about BuckTommy and Tim went oh hey here’s how Eddie is gonna be affected! Tim is Eddieblr. He loves him just as much even if he did come up with than damn doppelgänger story line.
And now it’s time to delve into my favorite character, one Mr. Eddie Diaz.
Oh Eddie, my beautiful, guilt ridden mess of a man. How are you going to be dealing with all of this? First and foremost, his son, his good luck charm decided to leave with his parents. Who should have asked if Eddie needed help too instead of absconding with their grandson.
Yes Eddie is gonna be reeling from this. He has lived most of his adult life for his son, not for himself. Season 5 kinda dipped into this and started him on this journey but he never really dealt with… you guessed it the Shannon of it all.
I’m kinda excited to see Eddie figuring who he is without Chris around. We love the Diaz boys but Eddie deserves to be like “Who am I without these people? If I wasn’t a father, what would my life look like?”
I also think it’s important for Eddie to this out without Buck. He leans on Buck a lot especially when he’s in emotional turmoil. And he can’t hide behind his son either.
Buck having less time for him means Eddie is flailing around and it also seems like the mustache is part of this self discovery.
Maybe he follows Chim and Hen’s lead with Gerrard but then realizes Buck needs the backup. I want to see Eddie really pushing the boundaries with Gerrard after a few weeks when he starts going after Buck.
Petty, jealous Eddie is one of my favorite things about him. And I do see this side of him coming out around Buck and Tommy. It will entertaining to watch.
I do hope that eventually we do have Chris ready to start talking things through with Eddie and that his dad isn’t this perfect man but a man who has repressed so many emotions in his life.
That being said, the above quote about figuring out who the hell he is with everything stripped away is very queer coded and I hope we finally see the Eddie we know is there come out and shine.
To summarize, I don’t think BuckTommy will last and I think we may have some hints as to why Eddie could be feeling jealous of Tommy and not any other love interests Buck has had.
One can only hope.

Epiphany, Pt. 5
On the outside, Teyla is finally starting to see the problem where Ronon is still laying the blame on McKay and intending to keep him there to solve it. His insistence that McKay not leave could also be motivated by Sheppard having asked him to keep his eye on McKay following recent events, and since Ronon is not going to leave Sheppard out there alone, he cannot keep his eye on the both of them if McKay leaves. Ronon attempts to impress the authority of his physical stature on McKay but McKay is not easily intimidated, especially when it comes to saving Sheppard. He has faced much more frightening things that Ronon head-on to rescue Sheppard.
Teyla: The blossoms have aged several hours at least. McKay: We might be able to pick him up in the jumper but I need to get back to Atlantis. Dex: You're not going anywhere. McKay: It is a time dilation field, which means that time is passing much faster on the other side of the portal than it is here for us.
Just as Ronon is blaming McKay for what happened and taking his frustration out on him, McKay is starting to feel like Ronon is purposefully wasting their time being obtuse, and he does not have time to think of how to explain the trouble they are in using small enough words. He has no bandwidth whatsoever to be intimidated by Ronon, all of his energy is going to figuring out how to help Sheppard. We can hear in his voice how serious he finds the situation, how hard he is trying to hold himself together long enough to be able to fix this.
McKay: I'm not sure of the exact ratio, but I need to go now. Dex: Why? McKay: I don't have time to explain temporal compression theory to you when every moment we stand here debating this, literally hours could be going by for Colonel Sheppard relative to us. Look, hours equate to days, and days for us could mean years for him. Do you get it now?
It is probably for the better that McKay took up a post contracting for the military instead of staying in Academia, as his method of teaching leaves a lot to be desired. He tries to explain the issue to Ronon as succinctly as he can but he does not have enough presence of mind not to be condescending about it, and although Sheppard is not here to witness this, it is probably incidents like this that contributed to him describing McKay as condescending in McKay and Mrs Miller (S03E08). What is interesting about how he does describe temporal compression to Ronon, however, is that it very much resembles how the feeling of the distorted sense of time caused by dissociation could be described. "Hours turn to days, days to weeks" is something that is frequently used to describe the time dilation that accompanies dissociation, making one's suffering seem unending. The way McKay describes what might be (and is) happening to Sheppard here is very similar to what we have seen him experience on a smaller scale multiple times.
Let us also note the fact that he calls Sheppard "Colonel Sheppard" here. He is not doing it because that is what he frequently calls him or because this is what he calls him in his mind. We have heard McKay call him this only a few times and always for a reason, and even though we will not hear him call him John until Adrift (S04E01), he most certainly has been doing it just between the two of them for much longer. Most often what we hear McKay call him is just Sheppard, without the title. The fact that he is using it here is in the service of impressing on Ronon that this is about much more than the two of them and their buddy Sheppard. This is the military commander of the Atlantis expedition that they have misplaced, and the chain of command puts him in charge here. He is using Sheppard's authority to impress on Ronon how important it is that he understands and lets him go without making any more trouble. While McKay intends on saving John, he is trying to convince Ronon of the fact that he is doing this for Colonel Sheppard, and because it is Colonel Sheppard, they need to hurry. Because they are doing this for Colonel Sheppard, Ronon needs to get on with the program and stop wasting his time.
McKay: Teyla, I need you to follow me back as far as the puddlejumper and I'll explain what I need you to do on the way. And you, stay here! Dex: And do what? McKay: Don't go through, if that's what you're thinking. Whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa! Give me the knapsack.
At the end of the first season we saw McKay musing about leadership, having had to reflect on his own position on the expedition during his time in the senior staff, heading his own science division. We saw that having grown close to Sheppard had made him appreciate what goes into good leadership on a whole other level. We have also seen him use that internal model of Sheppard that he keeps with him, that he keeps in his heart to help him out of tight situations, a perfect example of this only in the previous episode. In a dire situation, he is able to emulate his approximation of Sheppard to do things that he would otherwise be unable to do. And it very much seems like he is doing that here. He is displaying efficient and exemplary leadership: delegating tasks and taking care of the people he needs to work with him.
In the middle of all of this, he is able to see that Ronon is impulsive enough to try jumping in after Sheppard and that is the last thing they need right now. He orders Teyla to come with him to the jumper (without making it seem like an order), and he tells Ronon to stay put. We may also note that it is McKay telling Ronon not to go through, not to do the thing that he had been wanting to do himself ever since he watched Sheppard get sucked in, that suddenly makes him think of what Sheppard would need while he is there, to look at it from his point of view. They need to get him some provisions. Sheppard has been in the cave going on two days by now and he is not just starting to lose his hope, he seems almost to be losing his mind.
Sheppard: Rodney, Teyla... Ronon? Come in? You guys are starting to worry me a little bit here.
And so we switch from McKay having very obviously thought about Sheppard to Sheppard thinking about McKay. McKay is the first word we hear him speak as we return to him, and although he now adds the names of Teyla and Ronon to the list, it is entirely possible that some of the time he has been speaking to McKay alone, just like we saw him do previously. This is him adding the others to his message because his messages to McKay do not seem to be going through. What is significant here is the sing-song quality in which he speaks their names. It is almost as though he is speaking the names as prayers or mantic rituals, invoking the things he names, like he could invite them to appear just by speaking their names. It is also really curious that he sings the names of Rodney and Teyla together first while looking up to his right and then Ronon while looking to his left. It is as though they evoke different emotions in him, different memories. Looking to the left and up is for remembering visual images where looking to the up and right is constructing visual images which suggest that thinking about McKay and Teyla made him remember something, a specific memory or feeling, where the thought of Ronon made his mind go "big guy," or something similar.
Sheppard also looks up at the ceiling as he confesses that he is starting to worry "a little bit," which in Sheppard-to-English means that he is freaking the fuck out. The fact that he is willing to admit it even to himself, that he is speaking it out loud instead of trying his damnedest to repress the feeling is concerning. We see him do some self-soothing touching before he can even come out and say it, rubbing his brow with the tips of his fingers. But it is the looking up at the cave ceiling (which of course has nothing there for him to look at) that is the most concerning. People frequently do this, straining their eyes to look up, when they are trying to hold back tears. That is what he seems to be doing here. That is also why he speaks their names in the sing-songy voice. It is an attempt at keeping his voice from breaking, not able to say McKay's name using a normal speaking voice without choking up on it.
McKay: Empty your pockets, everything you think he might need to survive. We might just buy him a little more time there. Come on! Dex: Go! McKay: Good!
They gather up everything they have to put together a care package for Sheppard, and this at least seems to be something they can all agree on being a good idea. And even though McKay should by his own admission already be half-way to Atlantis to figure this thing out, he makes sure to throw in the care package through the portal to Sheppard personally. He needs to be the one to do it, he needs to know that there is something he is able to do for Sheppard in this situation. Sending the knapsack through is his only connection to Sheppard, and as much thought and love as he puts into it, Sheppard also is able to receive that on the other side. Having been deprived of human connection for so long, he can appreciate the thought most of all.
Sheppard: What the hell took you guys so long?!
A lot more time seems to have passed for Sheppard as we re-join him, and instead of having left the cave to look for water he basically seems to have made the decision to die right there rather than to get one inch further from where he had last seen the others. He has lit a fire to keep himself warm because he is probably starting to suffer from hypothermia. We find him sucking on the last bits of nutrition from a power bar, and he is also suffering from severe dehydration (and we do not want to be thinking about what he might have had to do to stave that off for a bit longer). Terminal dehydration takes approximately seven days and he has to be nearly half way there by this time.
We see Sheppard look at his hand and make it into a fist, and this might be caused either by the dehydration giving him cramps or the fact that he had punched the barrier so hard previously as to injure his hand (or that the has been punching it some more since then). Sheppard looks at the wrapper of his power bar before crumbling it up and discarding it on the cave floor, and we may remember both that we (and Sheppard) have watched McKay eat power bars with gusto previously being that he is hypoglycemic (and it is that fact alone that makes Sheppard glad that McKay is not stuck there with him), but we also later in Harmony (S04E14) learn that Sheppard usually gives his own power bar to McKay. It is for these reasons that he might very well be thinking about McKay as he sucks on the wrapper here, his lips on the covering of a phallic thing that reminds him of McKay.
The cave suddenly trembles as though from an earthquake and it is unclear whether this is caused by the care package bag coming through the portal or by some natural occurrence of the ridge. Regardless, it stirs Sheppard from his seemingly extremely morose thoughts to noticing that a bag had suddenly appeared through the portal. And much more than water and provisions (for which he is thankful), it is proof that the others are working on getting him out, they are thinking about him, they have not abandoned him after all. Sheppard can tell himself that he knew they would not all he wants but his deepest fear is abandonment. He wraps his lips around the first water bottle he finds in the knapsack like a man dying of thirst, and if it is not McKay's bottle, he certainly wishes that it were. Just hearing from them makes him feel less alone.

What would a real Lana self-insert Tav situation look like in BG3? (Idea stolen from this original, amazing ,and hilarious post by sorceresssundries
I think it would have to be a reality where Durge was also there, somehow my clutzy manner, witty humor, and amazing story telling would be enough to endear me to him and this would ensure everybody didn't break camp and leave me behind every morning
In lieu of that, he would be the only one brain damaged enough to not recognize a walking talking liability if they crawled out of a pod next to his and booped him on the snoot
(Lae'zel for sure thinks they'd be better off if they left me in the bog.)
Would be at camp more times than not because migraines would make my already useless fighting style (slapping) completely untenable
Would spend the entire tiefling party crying in the woods about watching Astarion gank two goblin children right in front of me
Would be so deep asleep from exhaustion wouldn't even notice Astarion treating himself to my neck like an oversized mosquito.
(He'd also drain me dry and Durge would have to resurrect me with a really long suffering sigh)
Would probably vomit when confronted with the Emperor for the first time.
Would definitely vomit when confronted with an intellect devourer for the first time and the second time and the third and the-
Would spend all of my free time looking for honey for Halsin in hopes of bear hugs
Having a background in a field where I am constantly ignored/talked down to by men I would hate Gale the second he said "I meant are you studied in magic. Which you are not."/"Nothing to worry The Unlettered over" in that condescending tone of his
Could not be dragged by wild owlbears into the submarine because deep water freaks me out too much sorry Omeluum!
Would spend Too Much Time trying to lure every single cat I came across back to camp with me to join my buddies Cub and Scratch
Be so consumed with matchmaking my companions it wouldn't even occur me to try to flirt with anyone
Exhaust everyone's carrying capacity/patience by picking up every single book I find
Be kidnapped by Orin and Durge has to pass several charisma checks to get enough people to agree to a rescue
Head over heels for Barcus Wroot
Immune to fall damage owing to my extensive experience with falling on my face but immediately KO'd by 1 (one) cast of vicious mockery

fic notes, From Queen to a Pawn, chapter 9 edition!
With which Obito's very long and very exhausting day of suffering that began all the way in chapter 1 comes to an end (and so does a big chunk of this man's sanity)
So let's get dive into the details of this chapter that you might have missed!
(also I kinda loredumped a lot of stuff. oops)
the title of the chapter - "A gift that should not have been given"
I finished a giant chunk of this chapter in like 2 days, so I didn't even have anything significant in mind, but as I was sitting watching the AO3 posting form and thinking of what could possibly be a good title, I realized that, with how heated Obito gets regarding his rogue Sharingan and the guy who currently has said Sharingan, a reference to this page from chapter 243 is appropriate
If you don't exactly remember the Kakashi Gaiden plot, it all starts with the team congratulating Kakashi on his jonin promotion and Rin and Minato giving Kakashi their gifts for this occasion, while Obito arrives late without one and grumbles about forgetting that he even needed to bring one. It all culminates after the cave-in, when it becomes quickly apparent that Obito is done for, which is why Obito during his "last" moments decides to give up his left eye to Kakashi (who also kinda lost his own left one because of Obito). Which is exactly how we arrive to "Obito getting fucked over by this decision for the following 17 years".
Also as a sidenote just think about how salty Obito is about his left eye's fate LMAO? Kakashi's nickname is literally "SHARINGAN KAKASHI", I can't even imagine how hard Obito was malding when heard about that for the first time. Like, the audacity of this bitch??? That's literally my Sharingan??? Call that asshole appropriately, like "Sharingan that he got generously gifted by Uchiha Obito Kakashi"???
There was only one thing on his mind, drumming through him with heavy pounding in his ears and pulsing rhythmically along with dull pain behind his right eye
I am continuing with my idea that Obito actually gets hurt from overusing his Mangekyo, but only in cases when he activates Kamui way too often and keeps on covering large distances. Obviously, it starts with the thing simply hurting, but if he keeps it up, his eye will actually start bleeding (which is what happens in chapter 6). None of that is permanent, of course, our buddy has Hashirama cells to fix any damage that he might be doing to himself😁
Raising his chin higher to gaze at the dark skies above, now half hidden beyond rows of wires twisting and strangling the lamp posts that were dully illuminating the street just beyond the alley he had found himself in <...> God's Tower. Akatsuki's main base.
So to outline exactly the events that took place: in the early hours of the morning Obito finishes with his "jerky" business in his chambers and goes to talk shit at chat with Pain and Konan, both of whom are kind of freaking out because they can't contact neither Sasori nor Deidara for some reason (even if enough time had passed for them to throw off their pursuiers + now Nagato can't even feel their chakra on the rings), and Zetsu isn't replying either (the two of them are a bit preoccupied with following the Konoha squad around and watching the ressurected Kazekage because wtf + then they are speeding towards Ame to explain wtf had happened). So with Pain, Konan and Obito present, Zetsu make their announcement which, as we know, results in "Madara" losing his shit and jumping off the building to go towards Land of Rivers to the south of where they are. Zetsu, about to lose their damn minds too, because wtf is Obito doing, also leave, so now Konan and Pain are alone. The events on Obito's and Zetsu's end are shown, but Pain and Konan pretty much spend the rest of the day trying to figure out what the fuck are they supposed to do now, because Madara for the first time in 16 or so years actually SNAPPED and now the entire organization and the plan (that they are responsible for, as Madara kept his distance and just trusted their judgement when it came to things unrelated to Tailed Beasts) are in danger. Nagato spends his time doing things like contacting the other two teams (aka Kakuzu&Hidan and Itachi&Kisame) ordering them to stay put and don't do anything because Akatsuki have AN EMERGENCY, while Konan is off to deal with Akatsuki business in Ame itself, like the preparations for Deidara's operation (which she clearly won't need if she's dead). So half a day later, both of them are awaiting something to happen from Madara's and Zetsu's end (and Konan prolly mentally preparing to pull out the bombs in case shit does get violent) in Pain's chambers, and this is when Zetsu arrives. Zetsu gets to them only after putting Deidara's hand in the freezer in one of the shops just down the street, and so they explain the situation regarding Sasori being killed and Deidara surviving, with Deidara being on the way to Ame along with "Tobi". Konan leaves Akatsuki's base to get everything ready (again) for Deidara's treatment, and Zetsu explains Pain what happened before their arrival (because again, they never got the chance to properly explain anything due to Obito's outburst) and what happened after it. Everything is more or less calm for the next n minutes, and then that's when the unexpected happens (at least for Nagato and Konan, Zetsus miiiiiight have anticipated something like that) - Madara appears in the middle of the village, even if he was not supposed to be there for another few hours.
I have mentioned in chapter 5 that Ame doesn't really have hospitals, but rather hangars with some necessary equipment for treatments, and something serious like Deidara's case requires everything to be collected at one of these locations. Obito knows WHERE these hangars are located, but he doesn't know in WHICH one of them Deidara was supposed to be treated, so his only option is to return Akatsuki's base and scream at Pain/Konan to give him the location because he is in no position to be running about trying to guess where Deidara won't die. He can't exactly appear in the open with Kamui, so he arrives in an alley by the building's entrance.
Konan, being in one of the hangars, feels Madara's presence that shouldn't be there so soon, so she figures something bad must have happened, which is why she flies so fast to get to Madara's location. Pain and Zetsu are also aware of his arrival, but Zetsu offers to go first to chat with him, because "Madara is still pretty pissed about the whole shitshow". Now Zetsu is much closer to Obito's location than Konan is, yet Obito notices him much later - and that's because they were secretly watching the entire scene in front of the entrance unfold😁So finally Obito's paranoia pays off!
Something cracks. Probably the shitty sidewalk in this empty stupid village. Or maybe it was one of his own teeth as his jaws felt like they were made out of thick iron rods.
If you're wondering, yep, that's Obito breaking one of his own teeth. They'll just grow back, nothing to worry about, heheheh
it's the rain, it's the stupid rain, this is its fault, what the fuck is Nagato doing by letting the weather turn to shit like that?!
As it's stated in the manga, Pain actually has the ability to manipulate the weather in Amegakure (which is pointed out by Ame ninja). Nagato can actually use the rain to detect threats arriving in the village, but then shit gets confusing, because Viz's translation says one thing, while the wiki says another, so I've made the executive decision to interpret this ability this way: Amegakure naturally has a lot of rains (Ame literally standing for "rain", duh), so most of the time the village is actually getting showered on its own. Nagato can and does affect the weather, but only when it is necessary, because this shit takes quite a lot of chakra (I mean look at Ame's size) and he isn't in the best of health to waste it around for no reason, so the actual rains produced by Pain occur only on Sundays to look for things that are in the village and yet do not belong to it (because again the entire village is now a semi-cult with Pain as their head, but the rest of the world is none the wiser to the fact that Hanzo no longer controls the place) + whenever someone (mostly Konan) discovers something suspicious and there is a need to look for clues on a larger scale.
Obito is pretty much fuming at the fact that Nagato didn't prepare everything for his dramatic arrival with his dying crush in his arms. Sorry, man, should have sent the request with Zetsu🤷♀️
Not late, not late, not late. Arghhh!
Currently Obito is just screaming in his head, but by the end of chapter he finally gets the opportunity to do it openly, hehehe
Blood is filling his mouth after he bites into... into... something, maybe his cheek, or maybe his lip, he doesn't give a shit anymore
Obito's been biting his mouth all this time from the stress, which is why when he watches the reflection he sees dried blood on his chin. The dried blood on his scars/right cheek is from chapter 6 when he was running towards Land of Rivers and made his eye bleed.
The heavy metal doors to the base are shut, causing his wrath to flare up
In my mind the building has pretty wide steel doors that are pretty heavy. In chapter 4 of LTFG Deidara and Sasori actually leave through the same doors when they are open - the weather is good. But upon Deidara's and Obito's return they are shut to prevent the first floor and the basement from flooding.
Obito's fingers dig deeper into her, uncaring if he will leave bruises, grasping and grabbing at her, refusing to let her go. And maybe, just maybe somewhere at the edge of his consciousness, maybe there was the smallest shred of hope that some of his own warmth was enough to give Deidara some comfort.
Kind of a mix between Obito's hound tendencies to get their fangs into their favorite toy and not to let go + the tiny and nice part of him actually caring for Deidara's comfort
Obito glares at the widening gap between the heavy doors, and just as he notices a pair of deep dark eyes filled with shock watching the man standing on the street...
Hehehe, keep this moment in mind, it will come up in the next chapter🫢😁But for now I'll just say that this particular character has already made their appearance in this AU
Her complexion took on a similar color to the paper wings behind her back, while the thin lines of her features became sharper, like someone carelessly cut them on a slab of marble with a kitchen knife, making the tiny web of wrinkles at the edges of her eyes stand out all the more.
I love Konan with my whole heart, she is absolutely gorgeous, but she's also getting closer to her 40s, so I think some tiny signs of aging on our angel are appropriate. Sorry, darling, but in this situation Deidei is the one to embody the youthful feminine beauty😔
This is the best chance she has in your shitty half-sunken and rotting village that has to steal shit from the passing caravans of the major hidden villages just to be able to afford anything and not die like the mindless cattle your lot is. You are worthless, and the fools that run that compound are cowards and even more worthless than you are.
So, here's another headcanon of mine, and it's about Ame's economic situation. Even with their less than ideal climate, I think that their basic necessities like food, electricity and heat they can kind of cover, but something more sophisticated - yeah, with shit being calm for just about last 15 years and the village being essentially locked away from the world as they are Akatsuki's main base they are having trouble buying (and I imagine part of the funds for the village's budget actually comes from Akatsuki's activities), not to mention producing something like medicine, which is why Ame has something of a shadow fleet (? I guess that's the appropriate name) which goes out and terrorizes the ships swimming along the rivers around the country.
The number of medics in Ame is also pretty limited, and with the whole civil war thing in place (plus Iwa, Suna and Konoha rolling over them), I imagine they would be one of the first targets to be killed in case they got too loyal to one side, which is why the surviving iryonins will kinda do whatever you demand of them if you give them the money (or threaten them enough).
Just like I am unable to fulfill my role as the Savior of this world alone, so am I unable to do anything by myself now.
Soooo I also did mention how I am planning on a lot of lore changes to Narutoverse. Well, fuck Kishimoto for his endless glazing of Uchihas, so Obito actually has to rely on a lot of things about his plan aka the Beasts on Nagato. Rinnegan has no relation to Madara or anyone from Uchiha, it is his own innate ability that he was born with. Ten-Tails also won't be awakened with some of the Tailed Beast in and only tiny bits of chakra of others inside (hi Bee's tentacle), because what the fuck is this convoluted bullshit, Kishimoto, why won't Obito in that case just steal a bunch of parts from the Beasts and voila he has an angry screaming eldritch horror to terrorize anyone unwilling to give up their Beast. I do wanna change it so Ten-Tails can be awakened with some of the Beasts inside, but it will result in it being weaker and less stable (aka likely to fall apart into pieces of the Beasts again).
(And I guess I might as well include what I have in mind for Rinnegan's (plus Byakugan's and Sharingan's) workings here, because it will be a while before that will actually be relevant.
So, Sharingan and Byakugan are both things that get passed down genetically.
Byakugan seems to be the dominant trait (and yes I don't give shit about Boruto yippie), so in my interpretation if one of the parents has it, the kids are pretty much guaranteed to have it on birth. So not-Byakugan + not-Byakugan = not-Byakugan, not-Byakugan + Byakugan = Byakugan, Byakugan + Byakugan = Byakugan. Even a half-blooded Hyuga will have a Byakugan in their next generation. This is important, because then it actually explains why Hyuga don't seem to have a preference for the gender of the heir (with Hinata's father generation being male and Hinata's own being female), but only focus on the order of the siblings.
Sharingan, as far as my AU is concerned, is similar to Byakugan in that it is passed down from parents, but it is actually a bit more complicated as for Uchihas the gender of the parent and the activation of their dojutsu matters. Sharingan prefers to get passed down via the male line, meaning from father to children, and if the father has awakened his Sharingan, then the child is practically guaranteed to have latent Sharingan upon birth. Father with latent Sharingan and mother with activated Sharingan when mixed with a parent with no Sharingan practically never results in a Sharingan, and mother with a latent Sharingan with a father with no Sharingan can never have a child with latent Sharingan. However, Sharingan does make an appearance if both parents have active or latent Sharingan, which is what leads to the next big issue of Uchiha clan - inbreeding😃
I make all of these rules to accomodate the historical precedents that we actually see in canon. So, we start in warring states period, when everyone poped a baby every year to continue the lineage and every kiddo was traumatized beyond belief by the time they were 7. For Uchiha clan that means that all sons had a Sharingan before even reaching puberty, so it did not really matter whom they married, their distant cousin or some village girl, the grandkid would still end up with a Sharingan down the line. And even by that point Uchiha are already proud of their dojutsu and its secrets, so the practice of "keeping it in the family" was already in place by the time Konoha was established. So something of peace times emerge, and the first generation of Uchiha bring their kids to Konoha, the kids grow up in pretty chill environment, so Sharingans are not as common among them, and then start marrying other inhabitants of Konoha and having the grandkids. This is all nice and dandy for about 20 years before Hashirama dies and First Shinobi World War breaks out, and it's in that moment Uchiha realize that they fucked up, because their grandkids can not awaken Sharingan, they simply do not have it. Meanwhile the grandkids that were, for the lack of better description, about 95% Uchiha, could awaken it, which prompted a much tighter control from within the clan over who Uchiha marry, particularly the sons as only boys could become heirs for their line of family (because unlike Byakugan Sharingan clearly favored the male line). About at the same Tobirama becomes the second Hokage and starts his reforms that also included Uchiha's position in the village, so, in the end, by the time 30 years since Konoha's establishement passed, due to both internal and external factors Uchiha clan becomes as separated as it ended up being all the way until massacre happened 72 years after the village was established. And the 30s is actually the time when the generation of Fugaku and Mikoto was born, so about that time it became quite common place for Uchiha men to marry their distant cousins, aunts, nieces, etc etc (I imagine they did try to maximize the distance on the family tree, but only after a few unfortunate results), because the alternative was to allow their dojutsu to go extinct. It is also during that time that clan started actively pushing for boys to awaken their Sharingan as soon as possible - because again active Sharingan means that the next generation will have a Sharingan, and Sharingan requires emotional trauma which is harder to get as the psyche forms and grows stronger with age - which is why we see Obito (ages 9 to 13) and Sasuke (8) worry so much them still not having a Sharingan, not that they understand the exact mechanics of why besides "it's gonna make me a stronger shinobi", the clan is pushing for it very strongly.
So that's how we end up with what we have in modernish times aka 60-80 years after Konoha's establishment. Because even if the clan did try to avoid very close inbreeding, several generations of this eugenics projects meant that while yes, upon first look it seemed like the children were fine, but in reality they ended up being much more prone to various mental illnesses (which would be Obito's example) or some other physical illnesess that would develop down the line (which would be Itachi's example). As I have shown with the fireflies flashback in chapter 2 of FQTP, even as a child Obito, when upset, was prone to outbursts of violence and anger that he couldn't control, which ended up with him often getting into fights with other children, destroying their things and even hurting them (nothing beyond a few scratches or bruises), and afterwards would be either extremely sad and crying for hours or dissociate himself from everything. I suppose that would be closer to some form of bipolar disorder? Regardless, his grandmother was aware of her grandson's issues that he clearly couldn't control (Obito was a very kind and gentle child outside of these episodes), so she was looking for a way to either cure him or find some way for him to mitigate his condition, but due to... er... things happening, she passed away before being able to help her grandson with that. Obito's condition, now that he lived alone and without the love and care of his closest relative (Uchiha took care of him, but it was still very different), started to worsen, but it was still more or less managable for his teenage self, but then the real HORRORS began and he spiraled completely out of it.
And with Itachi it's his chakra disease that he ultimately succumbs to. It is genetic, and he always had it, it passed Sasuke, but the big brother got less lucky. With proper medication and restrictions on use of chakra and especially Sharingan he would have likely made it much longer, but alas the life of crime ended him much faster.
tldr Kishimoto likes to call it curse of hatred, but I call it several generations of inbreeding lmao
I guess that's about it for Sharingan? I don't wanna go into exact details of the Uchiha family tree, because a) I haven't gotten around to actually fully developing it yet b) it'll spoil some nasty surprises down the line. As it currently stands, Obito's most important family line which goes through his father to his grandmother to his great-grandfather doesn't have anyone who's family name is not Uchiha lol.
Also I guess I have this fun idea that Kakashi's mother was actually an Uchiha with latent Sharingan, which is why he has the standard black eyes that both Sakumo and his mom would have, but he doesn't ever awaken his own Sharingan simply because he doesn't actually have it, but he is more or less okay using Obito's as his body is quite a lot more resilient to the effects of using a Sharingan. Judging from the fact that the other non-Uchiha guy who was using Sharingan aka Danzo needed like 20 shots of Hashirama cells for that I think it's okay to presume Kakashi has an unusual aptitude for this particular dojutsu.
And finally the Rinnegan. Considering how much everyone canonically loses their shit at the mere thought of this dojutsu, I think it's important to make it very rare and very mysterious.
Which is why I think it would be really fun if Rinnegan operated similarly to how the Avatar operates in ATLA series. So, it is a dojutsu that is not inheriteted in any capacity - a child of the owner of Rinnegan does not have a higher chance of it appearing, someone is born with it without any warning. Moreover, only one pair of Rinnegan can exist at the time - which, currently, means just Nagato's. The process of new Rinnegan users appearing is also pretty much just like the Avatar - once one user's Rinnegan is gone, another child somewhere in the shinobi world is born with it. And by gone it means both eyes are destroyed or deteriorate from natural causes like rotting of a body, which means that for some time after the Rinnegan's user passes away, the following reincarnation will not appear if the body is left on its own - Rinnegan is naturally resistant to ilnesses and such, so only active mechanical intervention (like physically crushing it) can expidate this reincarnation process.
Now as for other special perks of Rinnegan - because it's a reincarnation-based thing (and I like the concept of the Avatar lmao), the following Rinnegan owners actually inherit some of the experiences that the previous users have. These experiences include the knowledge of the jutsu developed by the previous owners (I will come to this point in a second) and some of the memories of a few previous generations of the Rinnegan. The farther a past owner is removed from the current one, the muddier the memories become, until after a certain point absolutely nothing can be recovered.
Now, as for knowledge of the jutsu, Rinnegan by itself offers a much higher degree of control over chakra which is unavailable to people without one, so things developed and done by Rinnegan owners are considered miracles and the people themselves are oftentimes revered as gods (hi Pain). This, in particular, is important when we talk about the Sage of Six Paths who, if we remove all the additional layers of myths, was actually one of ancient Rinnegan users, and likely by far the most famous one, as he was the person to push the boundaries of chakra as concept to its limits. The man in his youth had a lot of ambitions when it came to his dojutsu, so most of his experiments concerned life itself. He had managed to massively increase his lifespan with his research, and had achieved a miracle that, theoretically, goes against the nature of the world - Sage had managed to spread his dojutsu to other people, albeit it did result in their death and was not an actual Rinnegan, but simply had functions of one; upon extraction the eyes would revert to their original look, but nonetheless, the man had pushed the limits of his own being and from one grew into many, which is why he is already by that point considered a god and has mythos made about him.
But by far the most impressive achievement of his ended up being his darkest and most dangerous project by far. Sage, with all of the developments on chakra that he had already made, asked himself a question if it would be possible for him to create something out of chakra itself and have it take a physical form that it would be able to support on its own. After countless years of tests and collecting massive amounts of chakra simply beyond human comprehension he had achieved what he set out to create.
In the end, as usual, the real question that Sage should have asked himself was not "Can I create this?" but rather "Should I create this?"
Because the finale of his experiments came to be known as Ten-Tails.
Now, the very first issue with a living being of this size is that to support its active metabolism it must consume a lot of energy. And Ten-Tails, being a creature made out of pure concentrated chakra that ended up developing an actual physical form as a consequence of that, feeds upon chakra, and massive quantities of chakra at that. According to Sage's calculations, in best case scenario Ten-Tails would end up consuming the entirity of the planet's chakra in just a year if it is allowed to roam freely. And the second issue arose when he realized that Ten-Tails, along with a body, actually developed consciousness, which was something that Sage did not plan for at all. Ten-Tails had a very limited consciousness, mind you, but it was enough for it to understand where its food was, how to get there and what to do with those opposing it on its goal. Obviously, bloodbath ensued, until ultimately Sage had managed to restrain the thing and seal it into, what he presumed at the time, to be the best vessel - his own body (which, in a sense, was ironic, considering that he originally stored the chakra for the thing in the first place).
Sage spent his remaining years attempting to find a way to destroy Ten-Tails, and to his dismay he had discovered that the mistake of this experiment is, in fact, impossible to fix. Ten-Tails' body had an absurd amount of life force within it, and even if one was to ravage it non-stop, it would still take millions of years to actually extinguish it all. The chakra was also giant issue, as now the creature was actually part of the balance of the spiritual energy in the world, so dispersing it all in one go to ensure permanent death of Ten-Tails would be akin to exploding a giant cog in a very fragile machine - the entire system would be severely damaged, if not outright destroyed. And no matter how much Sage fought against the nature, death was still inevitable for him, which is why he had to resort to what he did, and that was to dismember Ten-Tails as much as possible. The first step was to remove the physical form and spiritual form - with the first part ending up to be what is known as Gedo Mazo, while the second went on to be processed by another precaution of the Sage. His assumption was that, if Ten-Tails' spiritual part was left undamaged, it could simply develop another physical form, and returning in full force to bring about the death of all life, so he also separated that part. According to his calculations, nine parts would be the ideal number to ensure their stability, thus not allowing Ten-Tails to naturally merge together and not disturbing the balance of the chakra in the world too much. These nine parts would later become known as Tailed Beasts, with their forms naturally evolving over time to accomodate their habitats.
Sage had written down the meaning of all he did for his followers and students, and pretty much wrote in large red letters DO NOT COMBINE THESE PIECES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, because the only things capable of controlling Ten-Tails' actions are Ten-Tails itself and a pair of Rinnegan (as reincarnation of Sage who created it in the first place).
And it was all lovely and dandy, over the years even the concept of Ten-Tails was forgotten, until a certain clan of red-eyed shinobi stumbled upon the instructions and writings of the Sage. The clan, at the time, was lead by none other than Uchiha Madara, who grew a very keen interest in these artifacts and had something of an ego problem. So, whenever he grew resentful of the idea of Konoha and got his ass kicked by Hashirama, Madara would proceed onwards with his plan of Eternal Tsukuyomi that required absurd amounts of chakra to succeed, which is how the whole Ten-Tails' resurrection idea came about, and thus ended up hiding inside the place where the Sage conducted his experiments and buried the physical part of Ten-Tails - and that place is known as Mountains' Graveyard in modern times.
And I think that's most of the important lore that I thought of regarding the Rinnegan? lmao that ended up being way longer than I expected)
anyway, back to the actual chapter lol
yet Obito can not shake off the feeling that he is watching her being dressed into a funeral cerement, similar to the ones he witnessed when he was young and watched the elder relatives from the Uchiha clan being taken away forever, including his own grandmother.
so, again with the tiny mentions of Obito's grandma! she's actually a pretty important piece to the overall lore, but currently is kind of the original source of his trauma regarding his loved ones dying and suddenly abandoning him (because, if you remember chapter 2 of FQTP, Obito actually never knew his parents)
How could I allow this, I am no longer a fourteen year old kid, I am no longer a twenty something year old idiot, this is the third time it all almost goes down the drain! I am no one, I am Madara's heir, I am the Savior, I am the fucking Leader, I am–
here I actually mention the other two times that Obito MAJOURLY fucked up. He was 14 during his attack on Konoha with Nine-Tails (which was also in chapter 2), which is what prompted Zetsus to keep a tighter watch on him because god fucking dammit we just started and now the entire world is freaking out, because Konoha's Tailed Beast suddenly went out of control (which is. you know. happens) and a Hokage was killed (but this is the Yellow Flash we are talking about + everyone who has been there at the scene can pretty much confirm that Nine-Tails was summoned on top of the village, which increases the likelihood of an enemy of Konoha being involved).
The second big "oh fuck" moment that Obito had was actually him losing control over Kirigakure aka the end of Blood Mist. I imagine that, after so many years of messed up shit taking place, numerous attempts were made on Yagura's life by different factions of resistance and simply other people who fucking hated his guts (hi Zabuza), and with a combo of Kisame acting as the Mizukage's personal guard (aka Madara's ally) and Obito secretly overseeing Yagura's day-to-day activities, brainwashed Yagura and Isobu within him remained pretty safe and under Obito's control. However, due to certain events in Konoha that totally did not involve Itachi in any capacity, Obito ended up away from Kirigakure for an extended period of time, which resulted in his genjutsu weakening over both Yagura and Isobu. Kisame also ended up away (likely due to an injury sustained after one of the previous attempts on Yagura?), which created a prime opportunity for one of the resistance groups to strike against the Mizukage, and this particular group would just so happen to be lead by Terumi Mei. A short fight ensued, but in the end Yagura was finally awakened from the genjutsu. Unfortunately, by that point he is pretty much done for - being under Sharingan's influence for so long damaged his mind, so by the time Mei and her followers managed to talk to him, he was already dying. Yagura does manage to relay some very important information to them, in particular something about a masked man, Tailed Beasts, a war, etc etc, things that he did manage to pick up on over the years. It is by that point Obito arrives at Kiri - he senses that the genjutsu was broken. Well, more events happen, but in the end Yagura dies right in front of Obito's eye, and takes away Isobu for a trip to Pure Lands (again LMAOOOOOOOO). And, if Obito was to be away to the massacre during all of this, he would be 22 years old by that point.
(also that's why Mei is called the "Usurper" by the supporters of Blood Mist in chapter 1, in the letters that Obito reads - she is widely believed to be Yagura's murderer (and the people might no be wrong about it), and the nickname only sticked harder as the group that she lead would slowly win and take over the Land of Water in the civil war that ensued :))))))
The yellow one is no different than an arrow made of molten metal, its intensity burning into his flesh, while the black one shines with its usual curiosity. Zetsu, their head sticking out from a dryish cobblestone under the roof of the building nearest to the intersection by God's Tower. "Wow, that was fast!" White doesn't bother with greeting Obito
To be fair, this entire chapter Zetsus aren't exactly subtle about their reactions to the little experiment they conducted🫢😁White pretty much throws it into Obito's face, while Black is fuming at his suspiciouns being confirmed
I think her file in Iwagakure said that Tsuchikage signed off on a special accelerated jonin training regimen for her under the Information Acquisition and Intel Extraction Corps? Supposedly even their previous colonel was involved, and they said that after a few hours that guy could make even the greatest saints among men admit to shoving it into a little lamb in public
So, what Zetsu says here is actually the public knowledge, at least known by most people and available to be read as one of the reports in the archives in Tsuchikage tower. However, Iwagakure has an access system when it comes to certain reports. Depending on the secrecy of the information contained within the report, only jonins that have passed some additional examinations and, in some pretty serious cases, gained Onoki's permission, can read what is in there. A lot of the information concerning last few years of Deidara's life in Iwagakure is actually contained within some of these reports, meaning that nobody except for Deidara, Onoki and a number of high-ranking officers know exactly what had taken place to cause Deidara to steal a kinjutsu and run away from the village.
Information Acquisition and Intel Extraction Corps is one of the many subdivisions that Iwagakure has (including canon Explosion Corps where Deidara actually served, along with Sensor Corps and Gearing Corps mentioned in chapter 6. yes I like to call them all Corps. sounds cool innit). But it's their fancy and official title, everyone who has ever worked with them simply calls them the Torture Squad😁
The colonel might be a pretty important figure. He might be related to that moment in chapter 8 when Deidara started screaming. And yes, he was really good at his job as the head of the Torture Squad😁😁😁
"Aw, so prickly..." White breathes out with mirth. Obito's teeth start grinding against each other as the desire to kick the shitface grows by second. What is he so happy about? "Is something upsetting you?"
And again with White actively throwing the results of their experiment into Obito's face
I hate you, I hate you so much, you stupid piece of trash, it's always you, it's always you who gets his hands on things belonging to me.
btw all of Obito's thoughts in this stretch (meaning the slaughterhouse scene) of the chapter are directed at Kakashi
At least, it used to be. And now it's ruined, it's tainted, it's used by someone else, by someone who always did this, who always ruined everything in his life, a bastard that Obito, shortly after awakening his Sharingan, should have stabbed instead of that Iwa guy and left to bleed out like the worthless greedy garbage he was.
So, firstly, I imagine Obito even by now has a giant inferiority complex when it comes to Kakashi. It's kind of how his mind is used to thinking of him and constantly comparing them together. Well, at least whenever Obito isn't busy hating Kakashi for breathing lol. To be fair he kinda deserves it, with him managing to go after Rin and Deidara
Secondly, I think Kamui is very important and personal for Obito. It's his, it's something that followed him on this dark journey, and I think most importantly Kamui is a way for him to separate himself from the real world, allowing him to both escape it in some sense and making him feel like he is the chosen one.
Which leads to my final point that Obito would be extremely upset when he learns that Kakashi, the asshole that already took so much from him without even meaning to do so, gets access to Kamui too. This is his special place, this is his personal hideout, and now Kakashi got in there and threw Deidara's half-ruined elbow too. Eugh
Imagining himself being submerged below layers upon layers of thick ice, drowning his scorching hatred within the coldness of indifference, he chases away all thoughts that would not belong to Madara, the man returning to the world where Zetsus were awaiting his arrival with the subject's rediscovered elbow in tow.
Hooray, Obito is dissociating! Until he sees the elbow, the text actually only refers to him as Madara. He also uses the word "subject" in regards to Deidara (for which he previously wanted to beat Zetsu up)
Sunagakure, I imagine, is far too preoccupied with celebrating the miraculous return of their Kazekage, while the Mizukage's attention is on the internal issues rather than the events on the other side of the ocean.
Looking at the map, there's actually two oceans separating Land of Water and Land of Wind, but you get the point, Mei's got enough of her problems to get preoccupied with Akatsuki's attack
"Her ego should be satisfied with remaining alive and being returned to Amegakure for treatment. Realistically, she should be already decomposing into feed for the Land of River's ants and cockroaches, yet time and time again luck seems to be on her side."
Obito's tad too busy freaking out about Deidara's elbow, but at this moment Black gives him a VERY pointed glare
Throwing off his clothing becomes only harder going forward - the index and the middle finger on his left hand are shoved deep into the moist and warm wound replacing his left eye, pushing, pinching and scraping at the itch, there is a distant realization that blood and chunks of flesh are dripping down his unscarred side of face, but the itch just doesn't go away, it's always with him, it pisses him off along with the new burning feeling of Hashirama cells fixing the damage, driving him further into wrath’s clutches
I actually originally didn't plan on having Obito mutilate himself in this way, but as I was writing that part I realized hell yeah he'd be doing something about his left eye. Also thank god for Hashirama cells now I can put this man through the meatgrinder he would be fine🙏
Its ugly muzzle is completely covered in blood, the hole in its skull on the left half-opened and shining with fresh blood oozing down its left cheek, while the blood on its right one and chin has long dried off and turned reddish brown, some of it even getting into the scars, making them stand out all the more.
Left cheek is from scratching into his eye, right cheek from his run into Land of Rivers, chin from chewing on his lips from stress
I hate you so much. .... From the very beginning, everything was always your fault.
It's the exact same phrases that Obito is using in regards to Kakashi... but now they might just be aimed at himself

When buddie goes canon (when, not if) do we think they're going to move into Eddie's for the long run or they'll buy a new place? I'm just going over it in my head, everything that house has seen.
It obviously is more convenient to keep the house production-wise, and because just as the house has seen everything —it also includes the happy times. But... To think it's the same place that Shannon haunts (which isn't even the worst part), but the fact that Ana was there, Marisol 'moved in', Kim irrumped with the stability, Chris fleed.
I can't help but wonder.

Everything that Heath has ever done in all of the G1, including webisodes, movies, videogames and comics
This is a VERY long post, a 20 page long document, containing 9400 words of information, kinda like a masterpost but it doesnt have links to other posts
also this can and probably is weirdly writen, english is my second lenguage (Spanish version here)
(Blinkie taken from here)
Heath Burns
The document (Because i am insane)
Wiki and extra facts
Heath Burns is a 2010-introduced and all-around character. Being a young fire elemental, Heath still is in the process of learning to control his powers and he suffers no less for it than his environment. Fear, excitement, or just a moment of absentmindedness is enough to pass his flames on to where he no longer controls them. It does not help that Heath himself is impulsive and impatient and has limited regard for others' wellbeing, meaning that his fire isn't even required for him to be the cause of chaos. Students and teachers alike are on guard if Heath is involved, which is necessary, but nonetheless hurts him because it means any effort to grow out of his habits is met with demoralizing skepticism. Heath likes to think of himself as the "guys want to be me, girls want to date me"-type, neither of which he actually is.
Age: 15 years olds
The following things are wrote in first person as if Heath had written it
Freaky Flaw: I have a slight self-control issue, causing me to accidentally burst into flames at the worst possible times. My dad also says that my attention span is so short that, Hey! What was that?
Favorite Activity: I love playing video games because I always get to be the hero, and if I make a mistake, I can hit the reset button.
Favorite subject: Physical Deaducation. I can show my crazy athletic skills in front of the ghouls. But in another bit of info he says that his favourite subject is Music, since he’s an “avid guitar player” (He isn’t)
Least Favorite Subject: Mad Science. It's not that I don't like the subject, but there are many distractions in the classroom. But he also says that “Any class when I don’t get to sit next to a scary-cute ghoul” in another bit of info
Favorite color: Red and Yellow
Best Friends: Clawd Wolf & Deuce Gorgon
Extra-scare-icular activities: Track team
He also considers as friends, and therefore spends time with them: Manny Taur, Slo Mo, Gil Webber, Hoodude Voodoo and Kjersti Trollson (online).
Despite the fact that Heath is a pain magnet and Hoodude(15) is the same, except that he transmits pain to other people close to him, Hoodude and Heath get together from time to time and get along well.
Kjersti Trollson(14), met Heath online, through the internet and through video games, and the two have been close ever since, despite Heath's surprise to discover that she was a girl, which is a delicate matter for Kjersti. Despite this, he respects his loudmouth personality and recognizes him as a skilled player. She considers him one of her best friends during her time at Monster High.
Slo Mo (17) doesn't seem to have much of a problem with Heath's antics
Manny (16) had no friends during his bully days, but today he considers Heath his best friend.
Deuce (16): Best Friends (below is when they first met, written from Heath's perspective)
Buddies for Life
Mom’s always telling me to clean up the mess in my room, and I always answer that there’s a place for everything, and everything’s in its place. She says it’s only true when the said place is the floor. While tidying up, I found an old picture of summer camp. I don’t remember these holidays being exactly fun until Deuce came along. I guess it’s because I only ran into trouble. It was harder back then than it is today to control my flames. I don’t if it was being expelled from archery practice for setting the arrows on fire (I still shot the target with them) or maybe because I set the rope on fire while practicing knots, but I manage to scare away the instructors as well as the other campers from day one. I was wondering what to expect from the rest of my stay. That’s when the new guy walked into the cabin. He had snakes instead of hair and weird sunglasses attached to his head, so they didn’t fall off. He said, “Hey dude! Wanna give me a tour?”. From that moment on, Deuce and I became best buds. I did run into more trouble after that, but Deuce was still there once the smoke cleared out.
Jackson (16) doesn't have him as a friend, neither does Holt, just as a family member (I mean, Heath doesn't have them as friends either, but come on man)
Clawd (17) says that he doesn't have best friends directly, but he does mention that he usually spends more time with Heath because of different sports activities since they're both on most of the school teams
In the Monster High books, Heath is not related to the Jekylls/Hydes at all; however he does have an older sister, Harmony Burns.
In 2020, it was confirmed that Heath may be a part of the LGBTQIA+ community as Garrett on his Instagram account stated that he likes/flirts with anyone (HE’S PAN I SWEAR TO GOD) (I am projecting there)
Heath usually prefers to dress in a way that isn't too showy, thinking he might envy the other boys and students at Monster High, but he still likes to look cool (Even if that means using the same outfit in the entire series lmao)
“Attention Chaperones!
Thank you for volunteering your Valentine's Day to watch over our student body ball. While our students are known for displaying exemplary behavior, select monsters should be given an extra caring eye to prevent any mischief.
Watch List
Heath Burns – known for heating up. Chaperones will be issued a fire extinguisher in the form of a corsage to help douse any situations that flame up.”
During a recent Creative Conjuring Class, we were challenged with writing a personal essay exploring inner thoughts of self. Heads turned towards me instantly. No one thinks I can be serious; Ghouls laugh at me when I try and ask them out; teachers always blame me for pranks. Well, the truth is I am a very serious monster, with a lot of deep feelings. To set the record straight, so to speak, I decided to publish my essay (which got an A by the way). Breathe fire all you want, because I'm proud of who I am.
WHO AM I? The Monster Inside.
By Heath Burns
It's hard out there for a mildly funny prankster. Most monsters deal with the same questions of self – who am I? What do I want in un-life? Even some of my closest monsters wonder who I am, and to be honest, many times so do I. It leads me to ask, can one ever truly know the real monster inside? Or is un-life just a continuous hunt to find purpose to feed the soul? I know that one thing that truly feeds me is my passion for fun, but no one seems to get the humor in my punch lines. The hardest part is being tormented by the feeling that no monster will ever truly understand me.
Most times, I just feel completely misunderstood. On the outside, I'm Heath Burns – class clown and UHHHn-defeated prankster! It's an external personae – everyone has one. Don't get me wrong, I love to laugh and practical jokes really are my forte, but occasionally a monster just wants to mellow out and have a serious convo with the pretty ghoul from Biteology class. Unfortunately, most monsters don't let me express my sensitive side, because they expect a joke at every turn. Since I’m a pro, I always give my audience what they expect – but sometimes it can be a total buzz kill.
That being said, the Heath Burns lifestyle is one awesome ride! I am who I am, and that's all I want or need to be. Monsters may think they have my personality pegged, but they're dead wrong. I am strong, unique and totally the beast guy to have around when you’re in need of a gut busting laugh. But I'm also caring and creative – so don't forget you should never judge a clown by his worst joke.
I am myself, I am unique and I am a freakishly awesome monster!
Abbey and Heath to Slice Out the Competition
December 03, 2012
Winter sports season is finally in full swing now that the Monster X-Games championship is set to take place in less than a month's time. With student bodies Abbey Bominable and Heath Burns preparing to freeze out their opposition as a fierce duo this year, the competition is bound to heat up quickly.
Given Abbey's fervor for snowboarding, we imagine we'll see some wickedly good tricks on the monster pipe while Heath is expected to melt the ice during the Beast Trick round. Rumors are also spreading about a synchronized ski competition for the pair. How did the two get wrangled into sharing the competition? Gil says Heath practically burst into flames at the chance to spend a little one-on-one time with Abbey.
No matter what the reason for their matchup, monsters everywhere are screaming in excitement over the possibilities. These super athletes are sure to put on a creeperific show this winter.
Heath Burns: I have a burning crush on the coolest ghoul in school, but I'm not sure she knows I'm alive. I don't want to declare my love if she doesn't feel the same way. How can I get her to notice me?
C.A. Cupid: Love is worth the risk. You must tell her how you feel. Even if her initial response is icy, your re-hot feeling may melt her heart
Series/Webisodes
Volume 1
This would be the first time we see him (I think his actual presentation would be New Ghoual @ School, the first movie). He´s shown talking to background characters mostly, first year in high school maybe? Or second year of highchool but he just moved to Monster High, I say this because Draculaura calls him “new guy”.
He’s trying to give a good impression, but in a “hey guys I’m cool” way
He´s immature, at least compared to the other manster, he´s a year younger than the rest
He´s shown trying to flirt with Frankie one time (This does not work for him btw)
Draculaura flirts with him first, I would guess they have a date that went really wrong off camera, because in later episodes Draculaura is shown to really dislike him lol
He has a really big ego when it comes to sports, like, he truly believes he´s the best in them (I like to think that this because they´re one of the only things he´s always been good at, compared to his other classes). He even says that some sports shouldn’t be for girls (BY THE WAY, WHAT THE FUCK WITH THAT?? LIKE??? HUH??? THIS IS LITERALLY THE ONLY SUBJECT HE ACTS LIKE THIS)
Volume 2
He really wants to go with Draculaura to that prom, dance?? (I don’t know what’s it’s called honestly), but Draculaura doesn´t want to go with him. If you think about it, this may be because she was the only person who first approached him in a good way; so maybe Heath thought Draculaura wouldn't turn him down. The way he insists her isn't cool tho, and it takes calling Clawd to threaten him so he stops.
He isn´t angry with Clawd afterwards tho, Heath actually doesn´t appear in the “prom” later in the episode, so he really didn´t have anyone else to go with
He´s good friends with Gil! He helps him get the courage to tell his parents what he has with Lagoona.
He doesn't have the best relationship with Jackson?, he doesn't treat him badly in front of him, and he even is shown to repeatedly spend time with him, but it's quite clear that for some reason he doesn't want Jackson to be in Monster High (Heath only acts like this during this volume tho)
He’s included in the friend group of the ghouls, but I think this is mostly because he´s spends time with Deuce, Gil and Jackson, since the ghouls constantly don’t want to spend time with him
By the way, this is important to me, but Heath has only been shown to be attracted to the physical appearance of people, and tends to act quickly on those feelings, trying to flirt with the background girls (They don’t like him tho). I like to think he’s in some part of the aromantic spectrum because of this (Demiro maybe?)
Volume 3
He’s shown spending waaaayy more time with Manny ( :/ )
The times he's rude with others it’s really because he's like really honest. This guy does not realize that what he is saying is rude to others and may hurt them
He flirts with Abbey like a lot, and Abbey is shown to at least find him funny
Saying this again, but every time he develops a short crush with a girl its purely a physical attraction and not a romantic one, I think the fisrt time he actually wants to be in a more serious thing is whith Abbey, but he also takes a lot of time to even realize this
All of his friends would blame him for any type of fire related accident, like they wouldn’t even think about it
He really helps Frankie in that New Year episode where she stops time, like totally platonic, friend helping another friend thing
HE’S A GAMER, I KNOW THIS IS SAID BEFORE IN THE WIKI PART, BUT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS IS SHOWN IN THE SERIES
He really cares about his friends lives (yes, I am talking about the ghouls in this), and he tries to warn them thay they could be in danger, but literally nobody takes him seriously
He’s scared by Jhonny Spirit lol
Talking about Hoodude he’s shown to be rude with him in a singular episode, but I suppose he apologized afterwards. Since later in the volume they’re shown to be on good terms and Heath does not get angry with him if he accidentally hurts him
HE’S SCARED OF AN OLD TYPREWRITER???? I DON’T KNOW (Yes this was funny enough for me to type it)
Volume 4
He’s shown way less
He’s a fan of Catty Noir lol
He tends to get lunch with Hoodude x)
He’s in more sports than before, Maybe he just signs up for every sport in the school (except swimming)
He spends more time with Manny :(
He helps or is in the art club as a model!
Volume 5
He almost never appears in this volume
He’s speaking with Manny in the interchange episode and he doesn’t appear much during that arc, so I guess went to Greece with Manny?? Completely guessing here
He wants to be a vampire in the Casta Frierce episode lol
When he goes to that party he doesn’t go with a formal outfit or anything, he just shows up with his normal everyday outfit, this thing he does it in almost every single party episode btw. He’s shown dancing with Jinafire btw!
Volume 6
He appears three times literally
In the arc of the circus thingy, he appears in the background with a different t-shirt and cooking some sausages with a stick, he literally doesn’t do anything more
And the other time he appears it’s when he some books fall on top of him when he’s searching for something in his locker
Extra episodes
He’s actually cheering on the casketball team instead of playing with them
And he went to the beach, he’s shown to spend time with Hoodude talking together, and he also plays with Clawd a bit.
Movies
New Ghoul at School
Appears using his cellphone in the background
HE TRIES TO FLIRT WITH FRANKIE AS HIS FIRST INTERACTION???
When Deuce tells him to stop he ignores him and keeps trying to flirt with Frankie
Deuce Stones him for not stopping and he takes his statue with him as he leaves
And the end he appears dancing with Draculaura
Fright On:
He's at the mall with this half-goat guy, those from Greek mythology, I think they’re called satyr?? Faun Boy??? Whatever
He likes Iris and Scarah for their appearances
He sits beside Jackson in one scene, I think he waves hello to Manny
He doesn´t like the science class, maybe because it’s more of a wait around class than anything, He invoked a small version of a Cthulhu thingy
He tried to flirt with two different vampire girls
THEY SHOWED HIM INSIDE A WATER TANK? DUDE? AS A GAME FOR THE PARTY??
He was looking at the fight between the werewolves and vampires, HE FAINTED???
At the end he tries to flirt with Gory, but a zombie ends up splashing him with water
Why do ghouls fall in love?:
They invited him to Draculaura's birthday, he was dancing with these vampires from the previous movie (it's a dream from Draculaura btw)
Trying to pay attention to Mr. Rotter's class as far as it seems (he's struggling with the book)
Ok this doesn't make sense, but Ghoulia's computer bug makes her "perfect match" appear as Heath
HE IS SO HAPPY THAT GHOULIA IS SUPPOSEDLY HIS PERFECT MATCH; he goes and tells some friends at lunch, Gil and Lagoona tell him not to be crazy and to take the date more calmly and Heath tells them "but I'm her perfect partner, right? I should act like always". Deuce seems interested in seeing how Heath treats this situation, but more in a way of waiting for Heath to fuck up
He accidentally burned a book while trying to flirt Ghoulia :(
He went to look for Ghoulia to hang out with her I guess (inconvenient at the moment but it's not his fault)
Heath made a song for her :3
Heath listens to the radio show of Cupid thing but it’s because they are throwing more “hard” tips because Abbey is the one who is talking. He was in the library with Ghoulia to accompany her, he accidentally burned a book again for wanting to give it to Ghoulia
Ghoulia wasn't very happy with the things they tried so she wants to tell him to stop this thing they were doing later
Heath ends their thingy with Ghoulia first, seeing that a serious relationship is not for him (and that it wasn't working out), but he still asks Ghoulia if she doesn't get mad about this or anything, because she still worries about their friendship. Ghoulia tells him that there is no problem, Heath then goes to go with flirt again with the girls
Escape from skull shores:
He’s back in those water tanks from attraction parks
Why is he so egocentric in this?? He just told this skeleton guy to use the muscles when he clearly doesn't have them (mocking him) and telling Howleen that girls can't throw? What the hell? He didn’t act like since Volume 1
He deserved that Howleen threw him inside the water, but why the hell did the water had piranhas inside of it????
Heath laughs at the destruction of public space (arson win) lol
Heath runs off to recess along with Manny
He is afraid of the circus performer
He’s standing there watching each other kill each other on the roof lol
I think he was talking to operetta??? On the island at the end
Friday Night Frights
He's on the skating team
previous season of the sport as of now
Substitute for the team along with Manny, calls the gargoyles fools
Makes fun of the other team as he skates too
They lost the thing? I don’t remember right now. Manny almost kills him because he pushes him. Heath is really sad about their team losing. He's disappointed when Clawd says he's canceling the next season of the sport
He’s watching at that thing to see who could make the new players for the team
He doesn't pay much attention when a werewolf says that a girl shouldn't be teaching guys about the sport, but he does laugh at another's guy joke about the same thing
Surprised by Lagoona's abilities!
He doesn't say anything to Lagoona when she says he wants to join the team, but he seems confused. When Frankie asks why Manny doesn't want to play with girls, Heath replies "because it's a man's sport, it's sacred! It's tradition."
Manny says that they are not going to make the team then, Heath goes along with the idea, and he says "well see ya! Wouldn't wanna be ya!" And then if tells them good luck putting together a team without men
He went to see (along with Clawd and Manny) the first tournament of the season, obviously to make fun of the ghouls; he’s carrying a camera to record them lol
He laughs at the Ghouls the next day (along with literally all the other guys)
Do I have to keep saying that he continues to make fun of the girls along with Manny? He’s still carrying the camera by the way. Operetta tells them to like, get lost or something
He went to watch the games together with Manny, obviously to record when the girls lost, but when he sees that the girls are using other strategies and are going ahead pf the other team, he is surprised and applauds them (puts the camera down)
He doesn’t appear in the next game
In the next game he’s cheering them on with the rest of the school
Heath and Manny apologize to the girls, admitting they were jerks
He’s was talking to Rochelle about the matches I guess :3
Next game/final game he’s on the cheer squad to cheer them on :3 (He accidentally burns the pompom)
He was about to kill the gargoyles for/because of the shield (I don’t remember what this refers to)
He was going to record them when they were celebrating, Manny then pushes him and Heath ends up crashing into Clawd
Passage of time to the next season of the sport this (aka the time when the movie starts)
He’s playing in the team again <3
Ghouls rule:
He fell asleep in the movie that they’re playing in class for Halloween :3
He said he failed history once, saying it was because he accidentally burned the book and couldn't study. When he says this he accidentally burns his book, Abbey puts out the burned book before anything else catches fire (for some reason everyone laughs at him?)
He was going to laugh at the pumpkins set as a threat, inadvertently activating the trap. Abbey shields him from being hurt and Heath thanks her.
They make fun of him (Manny and the rest of random guys) because Abbey saved him??? He gets really sad about this. Especially because the first one who laughs at him is Manny
In the Ms. Bloodgood room he sits next to Frankie, separated from Manny
He seems happy or interested with the meeting for Halloween that Cleo organizes
He tries to help Abbey not to drop a book on her head, it goes wrong and he ends up colliding with the locker, the book falls on his head and he sets it on fire. ABBEY AND LAGGONA DON'T EVEN ASK HIM IF IHE’S OKAY?? UH????? I GUESS??????
He takes some time to even recognize the secret greeting for the thing that Cleo is organizing, frustrating (I think) Clawd and ending up saying out loud what the greeting was for. He ends up crashing into another locker
He’s really interested in like, pulling a prank on the humans
He looks confused/concerned at Jackson when he shows up
Follow the rest with the idea that Holt should go instead of Jackson :(
He's super interested in pulling this prank on the humans (repeating myself here), He’s even carrying one rotten egg for the prank, I think he's the only one who took something like that? I have to say that he's probably good with basketball tricks because he does those kinds of tricks with this egg and he does it really well.
Manny gets mad at him for this?
Clawd tells him to be careful and Heath looks at him somewhat disappointed, telling him to have some confidence in him.
Holt bumps into him and makes Heath drop the egg, he tries to catch it but trips over a stone and can’t, he gets really sad about this
CLAWD TELLS HIM "I TOLD YOU SO" YOU SON OF A BITCH IT WASN'T HIS FAULT (Sorry I got angry in here)
Holt flashes a flashlight into Heath eyes/face to get him to hurry up
Disappointed that someone already did a graffiti in the human school before them, but says it's a much better job than what they were going to do
He runs fast! (Although it is obvious, in the series he was part of the track team)
He hides with Manny in a place of dishes/pots, when he sees that they weren't caught he gets excited and sets himself on fire, I think it's Manny who ends up breaking the place because Heath doesn't move from where he was sitting
Confused when he joins the rest to see that they are accusing Holt
He does not put up much resistance for this human party idea, he seems surprised actually
He wants to dance with Abbey at the party but he couldn’t.
He doesn't even want to be close to that blonde girl, he makes a scared face when she talks to him
When eating a spicy food (Abbey stops him before, telling him that they are too spicy, but he eats it anyway, saying that he was going to resist) he doesn't resist?? I guess?? For comedy factor?? He sets himself on fire, revealing that he is indeed a monster and inadvertently so are his friends. Abbey tries to put it out but Heath keeps running until he can put out the fire with a bucket of water.
Seems ready to fight with the humans when discovered
He tries to "protect" Abbey when they have to escape from the police, but while running he slips on a puddle and Abbey ends up helping him
He’s biting his nails when the Ms. Bloodgood is scolding them, maybe he does it when he is nervous?
He’s laying on the desk during detention until Frankie talks. He replies that he thinks it's cool that Holt had done the graffiti.
Has a “the fuck” face as he listens to Cleo complaining
I think he was talking to Toralei?
I think he's saying "awesome" when Cleo lies about Holt pulling those pranks
Tells Cleo the she should tell Holt everyone has his back
Tries to get Abbey out of detention, obviously doesn't do anything of what he says when the professor swings a dagger at his face, saying he has to go (Abbey seeing this says that Heath is "obviously" not part of the plan)
I'm saying it now, but Heath has no reaction when Holt takes the punishment of being killed. WHICH MAKES NO SENSE BECAUSE HE'S HIS FUCKING COUSIN MAYBE HE SHOULD REACT??? LIKE DUDE
Help with the plan to get the humans into the hall, to get their attention he taunts them and makes sure he's set on fire to light the way for the humans; I think he laughs nervously
He's really happy about the things that Abbey can do. When he sees that the ice statue is going to fall on top of him, he throws a ball of fire at it to melt it (I think it's one of the few times he does something like that?) He ends up going out dancing with Abbey thanks to this
After dancing with Abbey help the bullies (those blonde guys that look like jocks) to roast some marshmallows in his heads, I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT HE'S SITTING IN A BABYGIRL POSE OK I DON'T KNOW (gay?!¡?????!?!!!)
He’s good at sliding down rails?? With only his feet?? Cool??
Scaris City of frights:
Had a turn at the fashion show that Clawdeen organized at school, He’s so excited to participate (along with Deuce and Clawd)
Toralei's (fucking asshole) wants to humiliate Clawdeen (and Heath) changing the outfit he had to wear for the show
He is quite nervous about going out with the dress, he still does what he can (as he himself says) to wear it
Heath helps Ghoulia carry her scooter, which he has a hard time carrying, but manages in the end. Clawd and Deuce laugh at him for this??
He is so happy to be able to spend time with Deuce and Clawd! He literally says that "there is no better fun than with friends" and wants to high-five Deuce and Clawd, they look at him confused/disgusted and leave him standing there. Heath is confused as to why they left him hanging/ignored.
Heath tells Clawd that well, Draculaura is in the city of love, and in his case he would be jealous (Heath is always this very sincere without really wanting to hurt his friends feelings) he asks for a high five back to Clawd, and Deuce freeze him for this (Since Clawd gets sad and Heath doesn’t notices)
He’s so glad that for once he’s told that he was right about something. He literally tells Clawd not to worry, that it's not going to happen like last time (Valentine) and that Draculaura wouldn't left him for another dude.
He doesn't seem very convinced that Clawd is going to ask Cupid for help.
Clawd just says thanks to Deuce for going with him to Scaris. He then SARCASTICALLY says thanks to Heath for coming, literally telling him afterwards "I didn't want you to come though" (I think at least that what he says in Spanish)
Heath tells him that he wouldn't miss an opportunity to skip school. I KNOW HE’S IGNORING THE OTHER COMMENT I KNOW; that or he doesn’t understand sarcasm?
He was almost killed by a gargoyle on the airplane
Says "I miss girls who speak my language" when he arrives in Scaris lmao (in difference as Deuce and Clawd say that their miss Cleo and Draculaura)
I think he stopped for a second to see the mural that Ghoulia was doing
Doesn't stop Clawd from talking to a mime lmao
Gives money to Ghoulia's monkey!!!
He’s tired of looking for the ghouls; He does not seem very convinced to go to the catacombs to look for them as indicated by Clawd
Heath is lighting up the way for the boys to go through the catacombs
He's not like, very happy to see/find the girls compared to Clawd and Deuce
He kicks down a door!! He took it out from melting the sides from where it is connected to the wall; and did this only using one finger like a blowtorch!!
Clawdeen slams the door on him AND DOES NOT APOLOGIZE
He doesn't even complain about being squashed with the door :(
He asks sadly if anyone missed him, no one answers him, except Abbey with a "maybe me, very little" AND HEATH GETS TOO HAPPY ABOUT THIS; respects Abbey when she tells him not to push
HE FIXED ROCHELLE'S CAR BY THE WAY I DON'T WANT TO SAY ANYTHING BUT HE FIXED A FUCKING CAR. He's really proud of this by the way
I don't know why but when he goes with Abbey on a scooter he cannot accommodate/sit well on it
TRALEI DID THE SAME THING AGAIN, TO HUMILLIATE HIM IN FRONT OF THW CROWD AND UUUAHUDSF
KING, KING SLAY, COME ON HEATH GOD I LOVE YOU, KNOW IT IS HARD FOR YOU TO WEAR MORE FEMININE CLOTHES BUT YOU DID IT KING. By the way, he accidentally falls at the end of the catwalk.
He is so proud I adore him
He tells Clawdeen that the speech she made was beautiful, and asks for a high-five, Clawdeen is the only one who returns it, when he does, he says "about time! :D"
He falls off the catwalk again and they laugh at him
In the photos he accidentally burns a bird lol
Uh that weird end part of the movie
He says that girls do magic to fit all the clothes they wear in their baggage
He was talking to Deuce when Frankie gives him a bag. He says "I don't want to be seen carrying this girly bag like this" Which ok doesn't make sense because he says this after walking a fashion runway in a skirt??
He wants to flirt with Jinafire??
In Heath's defense, he didn't know the book was alive.
He asks Deuce if Jinafire is interested in him and Deuce literally replies that "you're imagining things" and he's goes to flirt with her anyway
HE WAS RUN OVER BY ELEPHANTS???
In the hot air balloons, he accidentally burns the rope for trying to flirt with Jinafire
He is not used to cold places and is shown to be almost freezing, unlike dragons like Jinafire he is capable of generating fire at any altitude/temperature
He says "that's amazing" when the book goes away again lmao
He is the only one helping to move the car
He’s also not good in desert places? He’s itchy
Help Ghoulia flee in Transylvania
Is he the only one paddling????? In the middle of the ocean?? They were eaten by a sea serpent
He has a confused face with what Jinafire says about the book.
(I just realized that he is wearing flip flops lmao)
THE BOOK THROWS ITSELF INTO HIM AND I THINK PUSHES HIM?
He accidentally set the balloon on fire but it worked anyway
HE HAS A CONCERNED FACE WHEN CLAWDEEN TALKS TO THE BOOK LMAO
13 wishes:
He wants to participate in "Die Trying" along with Clawd and Manny; Right now he's recording what Clawd was doing. The camera breaks because water fell on it but it's not his fault
The next time he accidentally burns the camera because he got excited
Seems confused that he's being put on the show because of Howleen's wish but doesn't complain or anything
He presents himself as flirtatious in the show
Happy/excited to be able to participate!
The next time you see him, he's already half worried about the feat they have to do, but he's still happy
He's the first to notice and tell Manny and Clawd that he's tired of the show (he seems nervous that they'll call him a coward for this but they don't).
He doesn't even want to participate anymore but he is obliged by the one host of the show
He gets to the point of hiding in garbage cans so he doesn't have to participate, saying it's humiliating; although he says "no, I swear I'm not afraid of the contest" although he is literally hiding so as not to participate, just like Manny and Clawd
Deuce asks them what the hell they are doing in the garbage cans, when he answers Deuce he ends up being found by the host of the show
In the next feat he doesn't even want to be there anymore, half-jokingly says that "we could do it with our hands tied behind our backs" to encourage Clawd and Manny but the host takes this as recommendation and does exactly that to them
The next time he is seen, he looks like shit, with a broken or sprained foot and using a medical crutch and a bruised right eye. He slips on garbage, catches fire and accidentally throws Manny and Clawd on top of him, with this he says "I should be used to this by now".
He looks surprised and confused at the host of the show, I repeat again that he doesn't want to participate anymore; Manny helps him get up btw
The next time he is seen is in the last feat, they were going to be the first to complete it until Howleen refunds (?) the wish. He was excited to be the first to win (this time they are seen they’re no longer hurt)
When they fall they end up in Monster High again, since they were shown to be almost in the middle of the ocean or something similar
He’s seen again at the party
Spectra asks them how the show went and like little assholes they lie that it wasn't a problem, Heath specifically says that "I fell asleep for most of it". Although when they see the light that illuminated them throughout the competition, they hide again
Frights camera action:
He went to the movies with Hoodude (and Jackson I think)
He likes the protagonist of the movie hehe. When Draculaura stops to complain about the movie, Heath tells her to sit down because it's blocking his view.
Jackson gets worried when Heath sets himself on fire for saying he likes the star of the movie lmao
He doesn't seem very interested in hearing Draculaura tell the story of vampire royalty and is currently leading the way along with Clawd and Gil
When Hoodude falls it hurts Heath, this is interesting because it indicates that Hoodude must have something from Heath (I discard the idea that it was because he was closer to him, since the girls were closer to Hoodude). Heath doesn't get mad at him anyway
The next time he appears he is waving goodbye to Draculaura from the balcony along with the rest of her friends who didn't go with her
I guess when Hoodude leaves he returns what he had from Heath; or before it directly hurt only Heath for comedy factor
He's at the opening of the second movie (In universe)!! I think he was supposed to go and see it with Abbey (he's mad that Abbey sat with an actor)
Freaky fusion:
He appears the first time at minute 53 how do you feel about that huh
He’s watching this uh theatre show, greets Frankie happily
btw his hair is on fire during the whole scene
He gets scared when this monster of Victor appears alongside the rest
HES FLABBERGHASTED??? HE THOUGHT THE MONSTER WAS PART OF THE SHOW, I???
Just when something gets thrown at his head is that he runs away and his hair burns off
He’s the first one to think "save frankie??". then he does say "lets save frankie"
in the last theathre show his fair is on fire again and he is very happy at the history/performance and :3
Haunted:
He went to see the swimming team, apparently he says something to Clawd while they cheer
He celebrates much less than the rest of the group/school
He appears way more excited to cheer on Lagoona
When the opponent's team fails, he celebrate
He’s one of the calmest if nothing is happening
Is he sitting next to Hoodude?
He sat down next to Clawd again, he seems bored
He has Spectra blog notifications turned on
He asks Clawd if the rumor/thing it's true and goes away with Deuce before hearing an answer
He is talking to Manny and Deuce the next time he appears
He almost falls asleep on the stairs with Manny and Deuce, Manny kicks him to get him to listen to him
He kept a 😦 face when he saw the ghostly boat
He disappears I don’t know bro, runned too fast or something
He’s dancing at the end :33
Boo York Boo York:
He likes Catty Noir as an artist! When he hears that she is going to compose another song he tells her that it’s going to be great
HE’S DANCING WITH JINAFIRE IN CATTY'S MONTAGE??????????
He’s in the background talking to Manny
Somehow he found Ghoulia's lab in the catacombs?? Along with Manny
Think that what Ghoulia is doing is a video game, he is playing with whatever progam Ghoulia was using
He is afraid that Professor Rotter will punish him for playing videogames but he doesn't and he ends up giving him a high five lmao
When Ghoulia needs the big screen Heath doesn't interrupt her or anything, he seems worried until Ghoulia plays the piano, where he starts to dance a little bit
When the meteorite is about to fall, he has a confused and worried face
Celebrates because Ghoulia made it
HE’S DANCING AT THE END
HE’S DANCING ABOVE A TABLE WITH CLAWD AND MANNY???? Supporting Astranova (this is at the very end)
Great scarrier reef:
HE’S PLAYING CASKETBALL WITH DEUCE :3
He looks worried at Lagoona :(
He was talking to Slo Mo and a mantis kid when Lagoona takes the phone from him, says "hey wait!" When she takes it and Heath then seems to complain
He's dancing with Clawd hehe
HE’S CHASING CLAWD??? I think they were playing something with throwing the stick?? Since Clawd was running with a stick in his mouth
Then he was talking to Clawd while they were eating the cupcakes.
HE SEEMS HAPPY WHEN LAGOONA SAYS HE DISINVITED TORALEI, he is literally the only one happy in this lmaooo
Eating the cupcakes with Clawd when Toralei and Lagoona start fighting, he seems excited at the idea of them fighting with each other.
He got more worried because he dropped a cupcake lol
Helps so they don't all fall into the whirlwind, surely he did it desperate since he's lying grabbing Abbey's legs
He has a 😥 face when the girls fall into the whirlwind
He’s having lunch with Clawd when the Kraken comes to school, he had already finished lunch. He’s confused when he sees the Kraken
Has no problem fighting someone when the ghouls ask him to
Says "she doesn't look so tough haha" when Cala appears, but he gets scared when he sees the Kraken and runs
Helps or wants to help in the plan
Does not appear after??? I don't know what he was supposed to do????
HES SLIDIN’ DOWN ONE OF THE KRAKEN ARMS AT THE POOL PARTY
He’s dancing later hehe
Lost Movie
Apparently the first time he would appear he would be talking to Clawd and Deuce
Comics
Hopes and Screams
the first thing that appears about him is "Heath is a good-hearted boy, but he is very clumsy and irresponsible, and always tends to cause chaos when things get a little heated"
He’s helping/supporting Clawdeen with her trendy monster segment at Monster High :3
How can I explain that he only wanted to dress fashionable to impress Abbey, BY THE WAY WHEN ABBEY APPEARS, HE GETS EXCITED AND STARTS BURNING THE POSTER BY ACCIDENT, but just a little bit
Funnily enough, these comics is the only time Heath wears another outfit outside of the circus and beach episodes and the happy 2014 one I think, he's always in his school jacket
BTW, he asks Howleen for help with the outfits so Clawdeen puts him on the blog!
This comic makes me angry against Clawdeen by the way, like she tells him he ia a “fashion disaster” AND THAT’S NOT TRUE HE LOOKS GOOD (that or I don’t have a fashion sense at all) AND HEATH REACTS LIKE IN A “:(“ WAY. YOU DONT UNDERSTAND THAT HE TRIED 4 MORE TIMES WITH DIFFERENT OUTFITS EACH TIME
“I don't want to have this kind of rejection Howleen!” AUAUUAGHHHHHH By the way he's having some soda I guess with Howleeen at I guess where Clawdeeen leaves the clothes
HE DOESN’T LIKE THAT OTHER PEOPLE KNOW THAT HE LIKES ABBEY LIKE NOT IN A ANGRY WAY BUT IN A AWKNARD WAY
IN FACT, IT GIVES HIM SO MUCH SHAME THAT HE CATCHES ON FIRE,
On top of that, obviously, later he's upset because what they were drinking I don't know what the hell it is but it was something thick and green and everything stuck to him and his clothes
YOU UNDERSTAND THAT HOWLEEN LOCKS HIM IN A LOCKER SO THEY CAN'T SEE HIM AND HEATH HAS TO YELL AT HER THAT HE'S CLAUTROPHOBIC AND SHE LEAVES HIM THERE AND he IS OBVIOUSLY ANGRY
"You and Heath should stay away from fashion for a while!" SHUT UP CLAWDEEN SHUT UP I BEG YOU
ABOVE THAT WHEN HEATH LEAVES THE LOCKER HE IS SO WORRIED
OVER LITERALLY EVERYTHING I JUST SAID, HE JUST DID ALL OF THIS TO IMPRESS ABBEY AND WHEN HE COMES OUT AND GOES TO TALK TO HER HE IS LIKE “hehe do you like my outfit?” AND ABBEY IS JUST LIKE "Heath, you're wearing the same thing as everyone else" AND LITERALLY HE’S JUST LIKE "UH??? EH??? WHAT"
At the end Clawdeen actually gives him a spot on the fashion blog
In the end he goes out with Abbey
Also appears in “These Boots were made for Rolling”, the story centered on Robecca
Why the fuck the skating team don't wear a uniform, how the hell do people know they're on the same team, dude???
He is surprised with the skates that the zombies have, saying "I can't believe I'm actually jealous of zombie's moves!"
Says that in general the school team should buy new skates because the ones they have are falling apart.
He goes “:0 :(“ when the zombies are so fast that they beat them before they even leave the starting line lol
They have a fair to earn money to buy the skates, and Heath asks Draculaura if she didn't make any of the food, and Draculaura replies “you put a spell on someone once and they mark you for life!” DRACULAURA??? DID YOU PUT A SPELL ON HEATH OR ANOTHER RANDOM???
SAYS THE PHRASE “with our player’s HOT skills and these scary-cool new skates, we can’t lose!” As a mean of cheering on the team/Rochelle
Spoilers! The gargoyle passes them and automatically his reaction is to go to catch up with him.
Robecca hits him
He obviously helps carry Robecca off the track after they crash with Rochelle's help, he gives her a worried look when Robecca half-snaps out of his grip and leaves all frustrated.
Apparently what happens is that a part of Robecca's boots/legs/skates broke and to buy a replacement it cost A LOT, and Heath stays as “:0” when he sees how much it cost but more worried. When Clawd proposes to sell the new skates to pay for Robecca's replacement, Heath thinks it's a great idea.
He’s literally like this “:D” When Robecca gets really happy and auaughsi
I Only Have Eye For You
In a Flashback it is shown that he went to the beach with Slo-Mo and Gil and they were playing Frisbee :3 (He accidentally hits Slo-Mo and apologizes) (End flashabsck)
Goes to greet Abbey and asks her what she is doing. he literally just wanted to spend some time with Abbey, he makes a joke and Abbey, who is busy, tells him that she doesn't have time right now (completely understandable) and Heaths stays like "wow, I don't understand women"
I swear that this kid has autism (Like me!)
I don't know how to explain it but, in the 3 panels between when Abbey leaves and Manny and Gil come to talk to him, he changes his mood three times, first he is “:(” because Abbey doesn't want to spend time with him, then he goes like “heeeyy guys how ya’ doin’” like super confident in himself, and then he's back :( when he notices the thingy is in his head
"It would be pathetic if I'm the only one that no girl asks him to the dance!" Spoiler, no one invited him yet, followed by "No way, I'm a loser!" when Manny and Gil tell him they've already been invited
He REALLY wants Abbey to invite him or something, on top of that he says "The only thing that would make her invite me is if I were as cute as these things are" (My life noooo :( ) And with that he has the idea of making himself cute as those thingies by changing his minds with one
The machine tickles lol. I hadn't noticed before, but as he transforms into this thing I guess he gets excited, because his eyes go blank like when he catches on fire
While Heath is literally transformed, he just wants to give hugs and kisses to his friends <3. HIS PUPILS ARE A HEART OH MY GOD
He kisses Manny and Gil on the forehead, who respond with "How humiliating!" and “Uuuhhhggg”
When he notices Abbey he goes to give a kissy too, but immediately stop when Abbey tells him to sit. Then they go to revert Heath back to normal
He gives Ghoulia a little kiss on the forehead when they are going to return him to normal <3
Automatically apologizes to Ghoulia, telling a joke when Ghoulia tells him that she should put up a security system.
When Ghoulia leaves, Heath asks Abbey how she knew it was him, and Abbey tells her that she knows how to recognize monsters by the kindness they have (auaughh <3)
Abbey ends up inviting him to the party!!
Later (or before???) when he is seen with Clawd, Heath is just accompanying him, Clawd asks him if he saw the tickets he just had and Heath tells him that "no idea, didn't pay attention to that" (he’s just like me…)
when Clawd doesn't have the reservation he had put, Clawd asks Heath if he's being pranked or something, and Heath quite defensively tells him "don't blame us (me) for the fact that you forgot today"
When Clawd leaves angrily Heath says "Luckily his howl is stronger than his bite!" but I don't know if it's like a wish or if it's an affirmation
HE DID NOT EVEN PUT ON A SUIT, HE WENT WITH THE SAME SHIRT HE ALWAYS WEARS
when Valentine comes in and says what he's been doing (which was helping everyone but things went wrong for him) Heath is upset but not directly angry at him, I don't know, like, literally 2 panels later he's really happy so
“And I kissed everyone!” Yeah Heath, yeah
He is one of the first to support Valentine telling him that they will be his friends
I THINK, I THINK HEATH TELLS VALENTINE ABOUT "Rest assured that we are all enjoying this, everything worked out in the end" Since he is the last one he spoke to and it does not appear on the panel so
Who Are The Fright-Mares?
I mean, technically he appears because he’s where Flara Blaze comes from, one of these centaurs combined with a random monster nightmare, that she just comes from Heath's nightmares, which I don't even know how to take because she is represented as super chaotic because she likes to be, saying that this is how she represents the element of fire, but Heath isn't chaotic because he likes to be, he is unintentionally chaotic. On top of that, Flara actively gives him bad dreams if it seems funny to her at the moment
Videogames
Monster High: Ghoul Spirit
Omg heath hi, he is standing next to a locker
Clawdeen asks you to meet Heath (the kid has been standing in the middle of the hall for about an hour) saying that he has a plan to distract Mr.Where
Apparently they also ask you to get Clawd's cell number from Heath lol
Obviously he flirts with you when you ask him for the phone number
HIS PLAN IS TO LIGHT SOMETHING ON FIRE SO THE FIRE SPRINKLERS WILL START WORKING??
I think he does that I'm assuming, it's not like the game is very understandable anyway
Apparently Heath has a hair curler lol
Ok maybe I got lost because I was like 1 hour without paying attention to the lore of this game but, Heath is helping Draculaura :3
I think it’s cute that Heath specifically knows Clawd's favorite color
HE IS JUST STANDING THERE IN THE FINAL SCENE
Monster High: Skultimate Roller Maze
YOU CAN PLAY AS HEATH
COCKY ASS “After I win- You want me to autograph your skates?”
“Of course! The Heathster is the only choice!” when you pick him
Monster High: 13 Wishes.
Doesnt appear
Monster High: New Ghoul in School
The first time he appears he’s at the robotics club, He has shown that he has mechanical skills before (the kid repaired a whole car) but I don't know, maybe he helps to make the external type parts of the robots
When the robot's legs light up, he says “Aw Man, that's so scary-cool!”
IN THE DAY IN THE Level 1 west hall HE IS DANCING WITH HOLT
HEATH SPENDS HIS LUCH TIME TALKING WITH MANNY AND CLAWD
You understand that Heath would rather be in a robotics club with Clawd, Robecca and Catty than be playing CasketBall (something we know he likes to do) with Deuce, Manny and Slo-Mo???
On top of that, he is super interested in the subject
Basically he is more in the robotics club to learn than anything else, at least on the subject of how a robot works, maybe he would say something more if the one who makes the videos spoke to him outside of the missions but hey what do I know
He doesn't seem so enthusiastic when they finally finish the robot, since the robots has to learn things from scratch, and I suppose that half disappoints his expectations??? Idk, Heath seems way more serious in this game than in any other content from G1
Or is he talking to Skellita, Sirena and Manny in the foyer?????? DOES NOT SUPPORT MANNY WITH HIS STUPID JOKE
After talking with them he goes back to dancing with Holt
Now that the robot does speak, he seems much more excited.
OOOOH THEY WERE NOT A CLUB, IT WAS LIKE A PROJECT FOR SCHOOL???? SINCE ROBECCA MENTIONS THAT EVERYONE WILL GET AN A WITH THIS PROJECT
HE IS AT THE AUDITORIUM?? LOL??? Ok I know it's for one of the missions from Elissabat. Is to see as a solo performance of Elissabat that Heath goes to the auditorium. When she finishes giving his mini speech Heath goes to Elissabat to tell her that it was really good and that for him these issues (Reason for existing and life itself) are important issues for him too
DISSAPEARED AFTER HE SAID THAT?? BRO THIS GAME
I don't know if Heath is cursed (the plot of the game) or not when they're in the meeting since he doesn't appear, or if it's because the writers didn't care about him, lol
HE DOESN'T EVEN APPEAR IN THE FINAL SCENE???? HELLO???
#remd original#monster high#heath burns#long post#i am so fuxking autistix for this#this has more information than the entire wiki i think#also i left out 2 interactions he has with his friend group

like memories of dying days
My piece for Febuwhump Day 7: Suffering in Silence
Aka, 2 times Scar suffers in silence, and 1 time he doesn't
Words: 3,426 CW: injury, life series deaths/injuries
The first night Scar wakes up back in Hermitcraft, he’s in pain. A broken, raw cry of hurt leaves his mouth as he tries to pull himself into a sitting position. He ends up staying down, the searing pain cutting across his whole body leaving him unable to even turn his head, let alone sit.
All he can think about is his final moments in the desert. His friend, the only person he felt he could trust, had beaten him to a bloody pulp in the warm sands. It’s disorienting to think about really. And sure, maybe he purposely missed a few punches, and maybe he let himself trip. But there had been very little hesitation from the avian when killing him.
He can feel every punch, every kick, and every mark lining his body as he lays pitifully on his bed. Not only can he feel them, he can remember them vividly. The way Grian had broken his ribs, how a well placed kick had sent him slamming against Pizza’s grave (that might have hurt the worst, for multiple reasons), how the avian’s fingers fit so perfectly around his neck. Not to hold him, and pull him closer, but instead to squeeze the life out of him.
Slowly he cracks his eyes open, and he can recognize the room he’s in, and he’s almost disappointed. His room smells of dark oak and roses. It’s a scent he had curated specifically to comfort him when we woke from nightmares.
It doesn’t comfort him now, but probably because what he’s woken up from is worse than a nightmare in a lot of ways.
Strangely enough, the only comforting thing in the room is the sand falling from his clothes onto his covers. He used to hate the sand. It would find its way into every single crevice of his clothes and skin. Near the end of it all he almost enjoyed the sand, especially when they finally left the desert to fight the final battle. The sand had been his only reminder of his home.
The home that he died at. The home where Pizza died, it was only fitting really.
With ragged and uneven breaths, Scar swings his legs over the edge of the bed, pulling himself into a semblance of a sitting position. Every movement brings intense pain that has him holding back tears.
He’s barely up when there’s a pounding on his door. Out of pure instinct he pulls his sword from his inventory and points it at the entrance to his bedroom. His hands are shaking with the weight despite the months of wielding it before. He hates it.
“Scar?” He knows that voice, at least he should know it. In another life, well maybe this life. That’s right, he’s on Hermitcraft, this is one of his friends. “Scar, are you in there buddy?”
It takes effort to clear his throat. Even now it feels like there are hands pressing against his airway, keeping him from taking a single breath.
“Yeah I-” His voice sounds so impossibly weak that it breaks his heart. He has to put so much more effort into putting that chipper attitude back into his tone. Even when he does, it sounds wrong. “I’m in my room Mumbo, come on in!”
Mumbo seems out of breath when he shows up at Scar’s door. His usually impeccable hair is an absolute mess, the lines of his suit wrinkled and off. The man looks at the sword still clutched in Scar’s hand, a flash of nervousness crossing his features. Scar slowly puts it on the bed near him, keeping it within reach just in case.
You never know when someone could come in and kill you. Better safe than sorry and all that.
“You look awful Mumbo.” Scar laughs, and it doesn’t sound quite right. He needs to fix that soon. “You slept at all lately?”
Mumbo runs a hand over his face, stopping to pull a stray hair from his mustache down. There’s a disbelief in his eyes that almost cracks Scar up. Almost.
“Where have you been?” You look like you’re about to pass out. What’s up with the sword?” Mumbo asks question after question that Scar can’t even imagine answering.
Instead he discreetly pulls his hands to his ribs and holds them. The pain lessens some at that, and he’s able to manage his facial expressions much better. Scar gives half answers here and there while trying not to actively yell out in pain. It works quite well actually.
When Grian joins the server, Mumbo leaves him alone. He likes it better that way. All desire to even sit is dashed from his mind. Instead he lays back down, pulling his covers tightly over him. It cradles his broken body, and it’s the only comfort he feels at that moment. And when he falls asleep the nightmares that greet him are almost welcome.
In the weeks that follow he doesn’t tell anyone about that final fight, and neither does Grian. All people know is that Grian won, and Scar didn’t. They don't comment about the fading bruises lining his skin, accompanying his scars.
They don't say anything about how the flowery spread of purple across his throat looks suspiciously like handprints. How they’re just small enough to only belong to a few people, and all the rest were long dead at that point.
Scar doesn’t say a single word about third life, or about the pain he feels every moment of every day. They don't need to know. It’s fine.
~ ~ ~
Coming to in Hermitcraft after last life is no less jarring than the first time. This time he wakes up to the moving machinery of the Swaggon, the smell of oil motor oil overwhelming his senses for a few blissful seconds. Then the pain hits, and it hits.
At least this time it’s pinpointed to a singular spot. The arrow through his heart isn’t nearly as painful as the first time around. It still hurts though, a sharp cutting pain as opposed to the searing, continual pain before.
When he finally is able to pull his shirt up and see the damage, it looks smaller than he remembered the arrowhead being. There’s a blood red mark that makes Scar light headed every time he comes close to touching it.
Unlike third life, nobody comes to him when he gets back. It’s almost ironic, he was alone in last life, and he’s now alone on Hermitcraft. It had almost crushed him back then, the isolation. He had tried, desperately, to make friends, but it never worked out for him. In fact it seemed to only make him more enemies in the end.
The worst part of it all was the avian that he considered one of his greatest friends. They had just gotten back to being normal on Hermitcraft when suddenly they were put in another death game.
Grian had avoided him immediately, only talking to him to con him out of a precious life. It made sense, but it hurt in a way that Scar couldn’t describe. Like a hole in his already broken heart. They barely crossed paths during the game, and when they did Grian was unbelievably cruel.
It wasn’t like Scar was expecting to be allies again or anything, but the cold disdain that Grian showed him was almost too much to bear. He had eventually gotten used to it like he had once gotten used to the sand in his hair. Didn’t mean he viewed it fondly though.
Once again he stays quiet about the pain he went through in last life. When people ask about his death, he simply explains that Ren got him. Even when the pain from the arrow fades and life settles, there's an echo in his heart of what happened.
Maybe one day he’ll be able to say something to someone, but it’s not any time soon.
~ ~ ~
Scar has never been so excited and also terrified in his life.
He’s excited because he’s always wanted this in a way. Having Grian bound to him like this is a perfect chance to finally understand him. He once thought he knew Grian like the back of his hand. In a world full of sunshine and sand Grian had been his best friend, his partner. The only person he trusted in a place full of paranoia and traitors.
They had been everything. And then nothing.
The second their hearts were synced, Scar didn’t care much about finding his soulmate. Nobody wanted to be around him in last life, so they didn’t deserve to be around him now. He was sure he wouldn’t be the only one that ended up alone. He had a plan though, the Jellies. They would be his soulmate, they were all he needed.
He knew his soulmate was Grian the second he saw him flinch when Scar accidentally twisted his ankle. In that very moment he decided he wouldn’t even acknowledge it. Grian and the others could think he was stupid all they wanted, he really didn’t care. It’s not like they thought he was the smartest anyways. He didn’t mind it though, it made them much more susceptible to whatever tricks he wanted to pull.
Like always, Grian found a way to ruin Scar’s plans. At one point he used to love it, now he can only force a smile and pretend to ignore the way Grian rolls his eyes at the fakeness of it. It’s getting easier now, to fake being happy around others. Unfortunately, with his heart being perfectly timed with Grian’s, the avian can hear the way it stumbles at every lie.
Grian himself is still as hard to read as before. Maybe even harder. Scar has seen him with BigB, has noticed the way Grian brushes Scar’s concerns away. His heart is always steady, and Scar can’t discern a single thing from the avian.
And that’s exactly why he’s terrified. He can’t let Grian know him the way he used to. It just feels wrong.
It’s almost like those old days, but at the same time, it’s completely different. Scar had once been an open book to Grian, now he’s attempting to keep himself as closed off as possible. It’s come with its challenges, but it shouldn’t be for much longer. They’re on red now, and soon the game will be over.
They’ll go back to Hermitcraft and pretend like nothing’s wrong all over again. They’ll base by each other, play pranks, and refuse to acknowledge the toll these death games have on them just like usual.
It’s nights like these that Scar wishes he could be in the desert all over again. The velvet keep is cold, colder than the sands ever were. Grian is tucked against the wall, pressed as far away from Scar as he can be on the shared bed. Scar had protested it, but Grian insisted on it for safety.
It doesn’t make Scar feel any safer.
It’s barely been half an hour since they’ve laid down for the night and Grian is already out. It’s the only time Scar can see a semblance of peace on the avian’s face. His mouth is slightly open, his heart steadily beating in his chest.
Once he’s sure that Grian is fully asleep, he rises from the bed. The avian barely twitches in his sleep, but Scar can feel how his heart stays at the same pace. He slowly tucks the blanket over Grian’s shoulders and stares down at the small figure barely taking up half of the bed.
He almost wants to climb back into that bed and pull Grian to his chest like he did those cold nights in the desert. Grian would usually complain and whine a bit, but Scar could always tell he appreciated it. After third life he struggled to sleep alone for weeks. Last life knocked that problem right out for him though.
The thought gets him to tear his eyes away from the bed and forces him to step away. Now that Grian is asleep he can finally treat his burns without the avian fussing over him. He’s been pretending to be alright all day, and he knows that Grian saw right through it. Still, he didn’t do anything, and Scar didn’t say a word.
The whole thing had been stupid in the first place. He should have seen the trap coming from a mile away, but he was still a little disoriented from Ren’s attack the night before. At least that’s what he tells himself.
He can still hear Joel’s piercing laughter as there was a shock of white hot pain, and then nothing. Death was never fun in these games, and it was all too familiar to his very first death ever. That had been completely different though, and Scar doesn’t enjoy settling on those thoughts.
Instead he goes to the chests and finds himself all the necessary supplies. After a quick hike up the stairs he finds himself on the rooftop of the keep. His legs dangle over the side as he prepares himself for the absolute agony he’s about to endure.
Even unbuttoning his shirt has him cringing. The burned skin sticks to the fabric and rips away with every pull of the shirt. Still he has to get it off, and so he pulls it quickly like a bandaid. A raw scream of agony leaves him as he hunches over himself, black spots crowding his vision.
Void, this is going to hurt so much worse than he was expecting.
Before he can even think about cleaning the burns, there’s steps on the stairs. Scar summons his sword, unsure who the intruder is. Even though he’s in intense pain, he’s going to fight tooth and nail for his last remaining life.
The second he sees the edge of feathers from around the stairwell the sword disappears. He shamefully turns his head down, making sure his tone is just right.
“Sorry if I woke you up, Grian.” He forces through a tight jaw. “You can go back to sleep, I’m just gonna stay up here for a bit.”
There’s a silence that hikes his shoulders up even more. He wants to believe that Grians listened and gone back downstairs, but it's unlikely. He’ll probably lecture Scar for waking him up with pain and Scar will have to pretend like the shadow of pain that Grian is feeling is exactly what’s going on with him.
It’s fine.
“You always do this, you know.” Grian finally says, and Scar waits for the parental tone.
It doesn’t come. Instead Grian settles behind him, holding his hand out for the supplies Scar has clutched in sweaty palms. It takes a moment, but Scar reluctantly passes them to him. He doesn’t respond. There’s honestly no words for him to say.
Grian just continues without a response.
“You don't tell anyone how much it hurts. I always thought that you just had really high pain tolerance, or weren’t that injured, but seeing you today…” Grian’s hands are light on his skin as he pours cold water across the burns. “It made me realize that you are way too good at quietly suffering.”
There’s a sharp burst of pain on his left shoulder that he cringes at, but not a single sound leaves him, as if to back up Grian’s point.
“I don't try.” Is the only defense Scar can muster.
“How can you not- okay whatever. Face me real quick-” Scar slowly turns towards Grian and the look of sympathy in his eyes almost floors Scar. He continues with his task as he speaks, not making eye contact. “I always wondered how you got back to normalcy after third life. I mean I was bedridden for weeks after my fall, and that wasn’t even as bad as-”
He stops his rambling as he realizes just where it will lead. Neither of them have mentioned that last fight, and they never will. As Grian moves onto the bandaging he gets quieter, his face drawn in concentration.
“It hurt a lot actually.” Scar clears his throat, looking off in the distance so he doesn’ have to see how Grian reacts. “Both times. But I just couldn’t let anyone know what happened, it just felt like too much to put on other people’s shoulders.”
“You spoon.” Grian chides, and there’s the parental tone. “We all love you Scar, and we want to know. Mumbo was worried sick for weeks after last life when you wouldn’t leave your house. He thought you hated all of us.”
Scar can’t think of a single thing to say, so he simply shrugs. The immediate hurt makes him regret the decision, and he bites down hard on his cheek to keep himself from reacting. The skin there is completely scarred up by now, destroyed from years of continual use.
“Void at least cry or something Scar.” Grian snaps and it takes Scar back. “I can feel it, and even though it’s lessened it freaking hurts. You’re allowed to be in pain, I’m not going to judge you or anything.”
Once again, Scar just stares at the stars, keeping his mouth shut.
When the bandaging is done, Grian holds his hand out. Scar stares at it for a moment before grabbing it, the avian’s hand warm on his. He’s hauled to his feet and led down the stairs, Grian’s fingers intertwined with his.
They settle back onto the bed, but this time Grian doesn’t go to the wall. Instead he stays rather close to Scar, basically in his arms if he were to reach out. He doesn’t.
Even when his eyes close, his heart stays rapidly fluttering. His eyelids twitch every few seconds and Scar can see words playing on his lips. What is he thinking about?
“I’m sorry.”
Scar blinks once, then twice as he stares at now open, dark eyes. He’s never once heard Grian apologize, except when he was actively killing him all that time ago. It rings in his ears for just a moment.
“What are you sorry about?” He finally asks, his mouth open in surprise.
“I’m sorry for killing you.”
“We already established that the creeper kill wasn’t your-”
“Not that Scar.” Grian groans, an exasperated sigh leaving him. He pulls himself up on the pillow, eye to eye with Scar. “I meant all the other times. The taken lives, everything.”
His breath catches and Scar tilts his head curiously.
“And I’m sorry for killing you to win.” He says quietly, and the words settle in Scar’s chest heavily. Like a weight on his heart, actively pulling him down. “You deserve so much better than what I’ve given you.”
“I don't think that-” Scar starts.
“I don't care what you think.” Grian says quickly, his voice rising for just a moment. “You deserved better, and you still do. So tell me what I’ve done to hurt you and I’ll apologize for it all, because I can't bear to watch you just hold it all in.”
Scar’s mouth opens and closes multiple times before he settles on a response.
“I’ve already forgiven you for all of it, Grian.” Scar says, a sad smile on his lips. “It hurt far too much to stay angry, so I just let it all go.”
“I don't deserve that Scar.”
“No you don't.” Scar finally reaches out, an invitation. “But you get it anyways.”
Tears spring in the avian’s eyes as he stares at Scar’s outreached hands. After a few seconds of deliberation he accepts it, pulling himself into Scar’s arms. He’s impossibly warm on Scar’s bandaged skin, and he can feel when the avian sighs.
“Do you feel any better?” He mumbles and Scar has to strain his ears just to hear it.
“Not really.” Scar finally admits, and it feels kind of good to say. “It hurts a lot, but it’s nice not being alone for once.”
“Well next time you get hurt you better come to me.” Grian hums softly. “No more of this quiet pain stuff or I will hunt you down and make you share your feelings.”
Scar laughs quietly, the movement burning across his chest. Finally he lets out a hiss of pain, and Grian frowns.
“Fine Grian.” Scar reluctantly says. “I’ll go to you then.”
“Good.”
For the first time in a long time when Scar goes to bed in pain, there’s someone else who knows, and someone else who cares. It’s foreign, but it feels strangely good.

⬆️ and 🏞️?
for this ask game
hehe, thanks :) like i said, my knowledge about this cycling season is... patchy, i know what you guys talk about here, what my middle aged german podcast men talk about, and what my MIND and HEART know, so here it comes
⬆️ which rider are you most excited to see develop this year?
tbh, my buddy simon geschke. it's his last season and i'm looking forward to getting glimpses of him every now and then hopefully having fun, making his goodbyes, being with his friends and looking forward to spending more time with his scooter, his dog and his wife. i'd love to get to hear him talk about how he will transfer out of the active rider life into the life after. will he be a commentator (think not, doesn't like talking enough)? trainer (maybe)? bikepacking influencer? i hope he comes on podcasts.
then i am excited to see where jonas vingegaard is going. i feel like in the last seasons so much went just right for him, he was in incredible form, made right decisions (and right decisions were made for him), and he had luck. now i'd like to see if that can continue, or if he will be more in the middle, struggle maybe a bit. and then i want to watch him very closely and see how he deals with that (and make up strained conversations he has with tadej about it, as a prologue to some angsty future post-retirement au).
🏞️ stage race you're most excited for? is there a particular stage you're looking forward to?
hands down the tour, that's the race that got me into cycling, i love the rituals and rhythm of it, i actually really like the german tv covering of it and i love following the peloton through the french landscape from my couch, getting facts about castles and churches and liquors. unfortunately this year's editions does not pass in the regions i know well, so the stages i'll be looking forward to is probably stage 11, aurillac to villeneuve-sur-lot: long, nice shots of the peloton, riders chatting, meandering landscape, great displays in the villages and 15: loudenvielle to plateau de beille: i'll be in that region in june so will hopefully see preparations and maybe recognise places when i watch the stage later. also: suffering.

Why a Bernedoodle is the Perfect Family Pet
If you’re on the hunt for the ideal family pet, look no further than the Bernedoodle! This lovable, cuddly, and intelligent dog breed is a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle, and it has quickly become one of the most popular hybrid breeds. With their gentle nature, loyalty, and ability to adapt to different environments, Bernedoodles make excellent companions for families of all sizes. But what exactly makes this dog the perfect addition to your household? Let’s dive in and explore why Bernedoodles are such fantastic family pets!
1. Gentle and Loving Nature
Bernedoodles are sweet and gentle. They inherit the sweet and loyal disposition of a Bernese Mountain Dog, with intelligence from Poodles. With this perfect union comes Bernedoodles that are so loving and eager to please. They also love spending time with their families and building lasting ties are known to readily form loyal connections both in young and older people.
Bernedoodles are highly patient and gentle when it comes to families with younger children. They know when to play and when most certainly not, so they make incredible buddies for kids. Instead of getting too hyped up and playing rough like some breeds, Bernedoodles typically take a more laid-back attitude toward the pipsqueaks around them.
2. Adaptable and Easygoing
Whether you are from a large home with long backyard or small apartment in the city, Bernedoodles can adapt to all living spaces. The parent breeds are largely responsible for this flexibility. In genetics, nothing is guaranteed; however Bernese Mountain Dogs are generally good with both indoors and outdoors while Poodles tend to be very intelligent so that part should make it adaptable enough for the variety of homes out there.
This is something which your Bernedoodle would live thank you for as being a medium to large size breed, they do need roomier spaces. They can, however, do well in apartments provided they are given sufficient exercise and mental stimulation. If these dogs receive daily walks, playtime and some toys to stimulate them they will be happy no matter where they live.
3. Great with Other Pets
This dog is also generally good with other animals, so if you already have a pet it should get on well in the house. They are sociable and generally get along well with dogs, cats as well as smaller pets. A Pitsky is not as likely to develop aggressive behavior with proper training, especially when they are raised alongside other pets.
They are sensitive to training and respond positively when getting taught how they should behave with different animals. While early socialization is essential; with that kind of guidance your Bernedoodle can be best friends with other pets in no time.
4. Low-Shedding Coat and Hypoallergenic Qualities
For some families wanting a pet, shedding is possibly the biggest turnoff, especially if someone in that household has allergies. Fortunately, Bernedoodles are blessed with a hypoallergenic coat that the Poodle side of them passed down. Most Bernedoodles are hypoallergenic dogs, which is a dog that releases fewer allergens compared to other breeds.
Although there is no such thing as a completely hypoallergenic dog, Bernedoodles tend to be one of the least likely breeds that cause allergic reactions which makes them perfect for families suffering from pet dander allergies. Regular brushing and an occasional bath will help minimize shedding, while keeping their coat looking healthy.
5. Highly Trainable
Pet training is a huge endeavor, which can be troublesome for newbie animal proprietors. Fortunately, Bernedoodles are very trainable since they acquire intelligence and an easy to train attitude from the Poodle. Poodles are one of the smartest dog breeds so this also comes through in their offspring, Bernedoodle! They are fast learners and have a high response to commands.
Positive reinforcement methods like treats, praise and playtime will help you to have fun while getting the most of your training sessions. Due to their intelligence and social nature, Bernedoodles learn fast and love to show off new tricks- which can be fun for the whole family. Not only that, but a well behaved Bernedoodle makes for an excellent indoor companion!

Sorry if this request is strange but I'm curious as to what you think Jiyan, Jinhsi, Geshulin and Mortefi would look like if they became dragons? What type of dragon would they be, how big and anything interesting!
Wuthering Waves characters as dragons!
A/n: YESSSSSSSS. Worry not anon, your request is not strange at all! I did give myself go to also visualize what I think they'd look like as dragons, along with some headcanons and a size chart at the end. I do hope you like this :) please enjoy my mind worms talking about the dragon hyperfixation lol All art here was done by me, do not use without permission/credit
Contents: Dragon Wuwa characters, Jiyan, Geshu Lin, Jinhsi and Mortefi x reader (separate), fluff, a bit of angst if you squint really hard, grammar mistakes probably bc I'm like that
Ko-fi
Jiyan:
-Jiyan is one of the bigger dragons, but his strength lies more so in endurance and perseverance rather than just brute strength
-His scales are smoother and look softer even, and when light passes over them they look a bit like fish scales with the way they glimmer
-Personality wise, as a dragon he is about the same as his human self, easy going and calm. Unless provoked or called to battle, you will scarcely ever see hostility from him, if ever at all. He does often linger near places where danger would be lurking, earning himself the title of a guardian very easily and early on. He just seems to have the sixth sense for trouble, and he can’t get himself to turn a blind eye to any suffering of his people
-Besides being battle ready and such, it is said his presence does have a calming aura with it, some dare say that it even heals the person to some extent. His scales, when ground up, have healing properties, and Jiyan does not lack generosity for that either.
-He has stepped into service of the territory as a young dragon, and a part of that youthful naivety still lingers in him, although he has grown wiser - he still blindly believes in that good of the world. One day it will all pass, the evil will be no more, and Jiyan will retrieve to some distant corner where, somewhere high up from where he can watch the lands and bask in the sun, all the past troubles now lost to memory
-His fur is really fluffy although a bit coarse to the touch, it protects him as much as it servers a more aesthetic side of his dragon. He takes good care of it, and doesn’t like it getting mangled. He gladly lets you help him with it too, if you have the strength to comb through all of it lol
-He does have a taste for swimming, both to remain clean but also active. He does running enough, and swimming is a fun activity that takes his weight off of his legs. However he does not like the sea, the salty water makes him icky
-The jewelry he wears and the armor was all gifted to him by important people in his life and fellow dragons, he wears them with pride and let’s them give him courage in trying times
-If you are a dragon too, or a human he values a lot and keeps close, he makes for a great cuddle buddy. He is long and when he curls up, it’s as if he made a bed in the middle of this little spiral for you to lay in. He is very peaceful and really likes the time spent with you.
-If you are a human and he is in this giant dragon form, he acts as if you’re an ant underfoot, which honestly you are, seeing how tiny you are compared to his claws alone, and he is quite worried he may hurt you or god forbid step on you
-He steps around you gingerly, always having an eye out for you so he knows where not to step or trudge to close to
-Preferably he’d have you riding on his back or on top of his head, there’s more than enough space there
-Seeing as he is a dragon most of the time, doing his work, it is rare you’ll catch him in his human form a lot, but when you do he relishes in your touch. Nuzzling in your neck and breathing in your scent as if he was starved of it.
Geshu Lin:
-A war dragon through and through. Born and bred for battle.
-Although his species is related to Jiyan and Jinhsi's, he does share similar features to the winged dragons of the New Federation. Tough scales and spikes line his entire body, acting as both a weapon and a shield to himself against other enemies. His body is lined with scars and scratches, old and new, displaying his long years of service and experience in battle.
-He has half of a whisker missing on his left side
-The jewelry he wears is a memorial of people he long lost in battle, although some believe he also looted the pieces of another dragon he triumphed over in war.
-He is a formidable beast and willful, he’s not someone to be trifled with. Some say he has learned to manipulate flames on the battlefield. But whether that is true or not, everyone has grown to fear the pale beast of Jinzhou.
-Due to his long years spent on the battlefield he has become an uneasy individual to be with or hold a conversation with, and his nights are often plagued with unrest or nightmares, he can never seem to rest easy. Only battle can make his mind escape the troubles of his other days, and for a little while it all seems to make the world stop - and he can finally breathe again
-Due to this, the medics that were close enough to realize this, suggested he wears protective amulets and papers with prayer written onto them in hopes that such would ease his mind. Time is yet to tell if these ever worked, or if Geshu Lin was touched by this moment of care from others
-It is said you were the only one that could bring him peace of mind, even if all you did was simply linger in the camp or near him. Geshu Lin did have a knack for always beckoning you close - just sit beside him, it will be enough. Sometimes you two would take to a more secluded place in the mountains, still overlooking the battlefield, but far away so no one could see. And he’d lay down, his body falling and rumbling through the ground while he exhaled heavily. He naps, letting you do as you please. If you wish to sit on his back he is not one to deny it, or if you want to sleep beside him, all the better. He has full confidence he can and will defend you if someone dares to sneak up on you two
-Geshu Lin rarely goes back to his human form. He has grown to dislike how weak that vessel can be, and how little it can do for the war cause, so he has all but abandoned it.
-If he does return back to human form, it would be to pass through some tunnel most likely than not, or to talk to some human captain back in the city on the rare occasions he goes back for meetings or to give his report. He is more grumpy in this form, he doesn’t like it - it makes him feel weak. People have learned to respect this side of him, although some genuinely fear him too and keep their distance away from him at all cost
-During one particular battle where even he was overwhelmed, he disappeared, leaving behind a long, thick trail of blood and fallen enemies to litter each end of the battlefield, but no one ever found him, no matter how much they followed the red line. It was odd for such a giant beast to simply vanish. Some speculated he died, but others argued that if he was truly dead, his remains would have been found by now. So, now he makes for a great ghost tale among the people. Some say that if you go to an old battlefield, you can hear his growling and snarling underneath the cracked and blood soaked earth
Jinhsi:
-Most beloved of dragons and, as the word has it, the most powerful among the dragons. She may not be as big as the battle dragons of the land, or most formidable looking, but do not let looks deceive you. She has protected her lands in her own ways, and none of them were easy
-She does not lack in wisdom and knowledge, but to her closest companions she did express doubt over her capabilities on a handful of occasions.
-Jinhsi looks like the embodiment of the snowy mountains and the glaciers that can be found around Mt. Firmament. Soft flowing fur that hugs her neck like a thick mane, and the long tuft of fur on her tail is faded to a blue. Sometimes, people say they can see snowflakes on her fur, flowing from it and melting when they touch the ground
-She often floats instead of walking, holding an air of elegance and regality about her wherever she goes. Her claws are faded gold and she has two golden stars on top of her forehead, the third one hidden underneath the fur
-The people often do bring gifts as offerings to her, some which she declines if she sees the person offering it needs it more than she does.
-During the year she will descend down to her land of people and bring her own gifts - sometimes a few days of cool air during summer droughts, or easier snows during long winters, other times she only brings her presence when the people feel uneasy due to wars happening outside the borders. A lot of times she holds an audience in the main plaza, giving her advice to the towns people and even travelers from distant lands
-Jinhsi assists in the war mostly by gaining intelligence, giving strategies to the generals and captains, and while she does know how to fight, she saves her strength for the city, should all outside forces fall.
-She is one made for solitude, or at least that is the nature of her duty, and not many people actually see her face-to-face or outside of her duty which seems to be never ending, 24/7
-She rarely sleeps, and some say she doesn’t even need to sleep. Her Grace only needs the love and trust of her people to give her strength - or so the tale would say
-She is still young in terms of dragon years, but for her age she has grown a lot. Her scales are still soft, smooth running across her pale body.
-She doesn’t often let anyone near her den, which the people have decorated so beautifully with gifts, gems, silk and much more. She would let you in, secretly during the night when you both can have the reprieve of the watchful eyes of guards or civilians. She lets you talk, listening attentively as she rests her worn body
-She purrs in her sleep sometimes, long soft groans in her throat that seem like a bunch of gentle bees caught and wrapped in cotton and linen and then pressed to your ear to help you sleep.
-She doesn’t often go in her human form, much like Geshu Lin - it makes her vulnerable. And as someone of high status as her, it would be wise to avoid any vulnerability. She’d rather not risk being caught unaware with a blade in her heart or at her throat
-In human form she seems to be more slow in her movement, perhaps due to not using the vessel so much or due to exhaustion the long years of duty have taken upon her, but she is aware of every sound around her and often knows you are there before you even announce yourself
Mortefi:
-A rare dragon in these lands, as not many New Federation dragons can be found so far from their home. They aren't nomads by any means, and prefer to stick to their land of origin.
-Yet, Mortefi is unlike what gossip would describe him or his kind as. Fanatical and obsessive over technology, that part he shares in common with his peers, but he is nowhere near as greedy. He does not hoard his knowledge in a pile, hiding away from the people for all eternity, nor is he as aggressive as his kind usually is, especially to strangers.
-While he truly is a loner, having made himself a home far from the central city and keeping it tidy and perfect for his high standards, he doesn’t shy from contact if he runs into someone else
-He’d much rather he didn’t run into them, but what does he have to be scared of? His scales can barely be pierced and fire does him no harm, what could anyone do to him? And conversation he doesn't fear either. It is unlike that someone knows something he doesn't already, but a little bit of back and forth hurt no one.
-He is the only one here to breathe fire, and his flames are strong red with streaks of orange. Geshu Lin does have some power of manipulating purple flames but they don't seem to have the same source, he doesn't breathe fire like Mortefi.
-He has quite a lot of witty remarks if some curious wanderer stops by his territory, and eventually he chases them off with his banter as the other person simply can’t handle his jargon and analogies - some even directed at them
-What some don’t know though, is that Mortefi has kept guard over the most naive and vulnerable ones of their community. The children that returned to the cities and villages after being lost for days, only returned when he found them. Often with a little trinket in hand. He may not like the adults as much, but children he can’t fault for their naive outlook on the world or their curiosity. He was once a child too, full of wonder and spark that he believes he lost, he hasn’t felt it in years. His own upbringing left a hole in his chest, that spark once filled that hole, but now it’s gone
-He doesn’t like when people enter his abode, and he likes it even less when they touch his things. Those may be the only times you see him be so enraged - he has quite the specific way of sorting things, you see, and he keeps it all clean too, so don’t touch it. He hasn’t spent so long sorting it all out, building his craft and honing his skills just for you to put it out of place
-In terms of size, at the present he is the smallest of the dragons listed here, but he is awfully slow growing. Longevity is one of the qualities that marks his kind, so this isn’t out of place for him. He will grow, but it will take long years to get to the size some of his elders in the New Federation are at.
-Mortefi is someone who indulges in his human form more than any other, preferring human hands to do his experiments than his big dragon claws, although both have their merit in their own ways
-He works quickly, and long nights are often spent at the table of his abode, making yet another craft, be it for the children or for his own self-given quests for knowledge
-He does keep you away while he is working, but ever since you wormed your way into his heart, he could never keep you too far off. He can feel you lingering nearby, watching him work sometimes, and he doesn’t mind. He also realizes how happier he is to explain his process when you ask, the hole in his chest slowly being made full once more
Size chart:
Geshu Lin is the biggest of them all, but Jiyan isn't too far behind
Jinhsi is bigger than Mortefi although Mortefi has more mass to him, he is very chunky
