Why a Bernedoodle is the Perfect Family Pet
If you’re on the hunt for the ideal family pet, look no further than the Bernedoodle! This lovable, cuddly, and intelligent dog breed is a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle, and it has quickly become one of the most popular hybrid breeds. With their gentle nature, loyalty, and ability to adapt to different environments, Bernedoodles make excellent companions for families of all sizes. But what exactly makes this dog the perfect addition to your household? Let’s dive in and explore why Bernedoodles are such fantastic family pets!
1. Gentle and Loving Nature
Bernedoodles are sweet and gentle. They inherit the sweet and loyal disposition of a Bernese Mountain Dog, with intelligence from Poodles. With this perfect union comes Bernedoodles that are so loving and eager to please. They also love spending time with their families and building lasting ties are known to readily form loyal connections both in young and older people.
Bernedoodles are highly patient and gentle when it comes to families with younger children. They know when to play and when most certainly not, so they make incredible buddies for kids. Instead of getting too hyped up and playing rough like some breeds, Bernedoodles typically take a more laid-back attitude toward the pipsqueaks around them.
2. Adaptable and Easygoing
Whether you are from a large home with long backyard or small apartment in the city, Bernedoodles can adapt to all living spaces. The parent breeds are largely responsible for this flexibility. In genetics, nothing is guaranteed; however Bernese Mountain Dogs are generally good with both indoors and outdoors while Poodles tend to be very intelligent so that part should make it adaptable enough for the variety of homes out there.
This is something which your Bernedoodle would live thank you for as being a medium to large size breed, they do need roomier spaces. They can, however, do well in apartments provided they are given sufficient exercise and mental stimulation. If these dogs receive daily walks, playtime and some toys to stimulate them they will be happy no matter where they live.
3. Great with Other Pets
This dog is also generally good with other animals, so if you already have a pet it should get on well in the house. They are sociable and generally get along well with dogs, cats as well as smaller pets. A Pitsky is not as likely to develop aggressive behavior with proper training, especially when they are raised alongside other pets.
They are sensitive to training and respond positively when getting taught how they should behave with different animals. While early socialization is essential; with that kind of guidance your Bernedoodle can be best friends with other pets in no time.
4. Low-Shedding Coat and Hypoallergenic Qualities
For some families wanting a pet, shedding is possibly the biggest turnoff, especially if someone in that household has allergies. Fortunately, Bernedoodles are blessed with a hypoallergenic coat that the Poodle side of them passed down. Most Bernedoodles are hypoallergenic dogs, which is a dog that releases fewer allergens compared to other breeds.
Although there is no such thing as a completely hypoallergenic dog, Bernedoodles tend to be one of the least likely breeds that cause allergic reactions which makes them perfect for families suffering from pet dander allergies. Regular brushing and an occasional bath will help minimize shedding, while keeping their coat looking healthy.
5. Highly Trainable
Pet training is a huge endeavor, which can be troublesome for newbie animal proprietors. Fortunately, Bernedoodles are very trainable since they acquire intelligence and an easy to train attitude from the Poodle. Poodles are one of the smartest dog breeds so this also comes through in their offspring, Bernedoodle! They are fast learners and have a high response to commands.
Positive reinforcement methods like treats, praise and playtime will help you to have fun while getting the most of your training sessions. Due to their intelligence and social nature, Bernedoodles learn fast and love to show off new tricks- which can be fun for the whole family. Not only that, but a well behaved Bernedoodle makes for an excellent indoor companion!
6. Loyal and Protective
They are incredibly loyal to their families; part of the reason why Bernedoodles tend to be well-mannered and sociable when trained correctly. They are great at protecting, particularly when it comes to the children. They are not particularly aggressive, but Bernedoodles will let you know if they sense that something is wrong or a stranger appears. They make great watchdogs because of this, and are not known to be extremely territorial or threatening.
The level of loyalty they feel towards their people, as well as friendly nature makes the Bernedoodles really a good watch-friendly dog who gives them proper security. They will help your loved ones good cheer As well as shield you from eye-hardening glare
7. Energetic and Playful
Bernedoodles are one of the top breeds for families who live an active lifestyle. Belying their small size, these dogs have high energy levels and are playful creatures. Whether you are jogging in the yard, hiking or simply playing with fetch at a dog park, Bernedoodles love physical activity and they will flourish when introduced to the appropriate amount of exercise.
This playful disposition also translates inside. Bernedoodles love to get in the mix of a game with their people (even if it is just tug-of-war) or play games that challenge them mentally, such as interactive puzzle toys. This makes them the best suitable for families that take pleasure in hanging out with each other both inside and outdoors.
Conclusion: The Perfect Family Pet
That might sound like a pretty enticing package, which is why the Bernedoodle makes for such an incredible family pet; it has all those great qualities of parental breeds while also brings its own adaptability and very low shedding coat to please every single possible breeders note. They make a great companion with young children, other pets or a busy household and are very versatile about their family atmosphere. Thanks to their loyalty, intelligence, and playful spirit they make ideal pets for a family with well-natured behaviour.
If you are looking for a dog to be your best friend, look no further than the Bernedoodle. Ranging from their loving nature to how loyal they can be loved and accepted as part of the family, a Bernedoodle is sure to offer endless love and companionship in any home.

Hi love,
How are you? How has your week been? Do you have any thoughts/theories/ideas on what made Lucien blush when he traversed the bond to feel Elain?
🧼💖
NTSSM! It always makes me really happy to see your messages ❤️
Starting with the easy stuff, my week has been pretty good! We put a deposit down for a future Bernedoodle so I've been excited about that. And yesterday was one of those days where (for no specific reason) you're thrilled to be alive. Do you ever have those? Where for a day you just love every single thing?
On to THE QUESTION. Which is in caps because seriously, it's such a mystery to me and has been plaguing me. And there's nothing that really gives me hints as to what it could be.
Lucien does say he "felt" her, then blushes so it's possible that he felt the physical pull Elain has towards Lucien. Regardless of her hesitation or her "shrinking back" in SF, Elain and Lucien have a full on mating bond they are both aware of and as we've seen with past Males who were aware of it, it's consuming. Wanting to be around their Mates, wanting to be physical with them. Imagine Lucien (having no idea what Elain thinks about anything and only focused on her healing) slipping into her thoughts and feeling that she desires him? I'm not saying she mentally decided to want him but I think the Mating Bond probably causes your hormones to go a little haywire around your Mate and it would be something Elain can't help (which is probably a huge reason she's trying to ignore the bond and Lucien. Because she's going to deny, deny, deny instant attraction to another Male).
The only other explanation I've come up with is not so much Lucien feeling Elain's pull to him but feeling Elain in an intimate way as an individual. Seeing her dreams and wants in general (physical wants included). The things she would never openly share with anyone but someone she was extremely close to and possibly intimate with. Again, Lucien entered her mind via the bond looking for clues as to why she seemed to talking in riddles so his mind was solely focused on her path to healing. Getting a glimpse and being blindsided by someone's deepest desires would probably be a bit of surprise to most people in that moment, especially a Male who has done his best not to let his physical draw to Elain overpower his good sense. (Luciens trying to keep it all G and Elains veering into a completely different rating).
It's something I desperately wish SJM would answer for us. Watching a full grown Fae Male blush over someone's inner thoughts is a need to know scenario.
Has there been anything interesting going on with you? Have you resolved anything with your friend who wasn't being considerate of what you were trying to explain?

Cavapoo vs. Other Doodle Breeds: Which One Is Right for You?
Introduction
Doodle breeds have become incredibly popular in recent years, thanks to their adorable looks, hypoallergenic coats, and friendly temperaments. Among these crossbreeds, Cavapoos stand out, but how do they compare to other doodle breeds? In this guide, we’ll explore the key differences between Cavapoos and other popular doodles like Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, and Bernedoodles. By the end, you’ll have a better understanding of which doodle breed is the perfect match for your lifestyle.
1. Cavapoo (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel & Poodle Mix)
Overview:
The Cavapoo is a mix between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle, known for their affectionate and friendly nature. They are smaller than most other doodle breeds, making them ideal for apartment living or for families seeking a smaller dog.
Size: Typically 9-14 inches tall and weighing 12-25 pounds.
Temperament: Sweet, affectionate, and sociable. They’re known for forming strong bonds with their families and are great with children and other pets.
Coat: Wavy or curly, with minimal shedding, making them a great choice for people with allergies.
Exercise Needs: Moderate. Cavapoos enjoy playtime and daily walks but are also content to snuggle up at home.
Best For: Families, seniors, and apartment dwellers looking for a small, loving companion.
Unique Qualities:
Cavapoos are one of the smallest doodle breeds, and they inherit the Cavalier’s calm demeanor combined with the Poodle’s intelligence. This makes them easy to train and excellent for therapy or emotional support roles. They’re also relatively low-energy compared to larger doodles, which is great for homes with a relaxed pace.
2. Goldendoodle (Golden Retriever & Poodle Mix)
Overview:
The Goldendoodle is a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle, known for their friendly and playful nature. They are one of the larger doodle breeds and are highly energetic.
Size: Varies from mini (15-30 pounds) to standard (50-90 pounds).
Temperament: Friendly, playful, and highly social. Goldendoodles are known for their loyalty and are great with kids, making them wonderful family pets.
Coat: Typically curly or wavy and hypoallergenic. Requires regular grooming to prevent matting.
Exercise Needs: High. Goldendoodles are active dogs and need plenty of exercise, including long walks, playtime, and mental stimulation.
Best For: Active families, homes with yards, and those who can provide plenty of outdoor activity.
Unique Qualities:
Goldendoodles inherit the Golden Retriever’s love for adventure and the Poodle’s intelligence, making them highly trainable. They are excellent companions for families with young children or people who enjoy an active lifestyle. However, they do require more grooming and exercise than Cavapoos, so they may not be suitable for more sedentary households.
3. Labradoodle (Labrador Retriever & Poodle Mix)
Overview:
The Labradoodle, a mix between a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle, is known for its friendly, outgoing personality and high intelligence. They are similar to Goldendoodles in size and temperament.
Size: Ranges from mini (15-30 pounds) to standard (50-80 pounds).
Temperament: Friendly, intelligent, and outgoing. Labradoodles are typically very energetic and love being around people and other pets.
Coat: Wavy or curly, often hypoallergenic, but their coats can vary depending on genetics. Requires regular grooming to avoid matting.
Exercise Needs: High. Labradoodles are very active and need daily physical and mental exercise.
Best For: Active families, dog owners with time for training and outdoor activities, and homes with large yards.
Unique Qualities:
Labradoodles are often bred as service or therapy dogs due to their intelligence and eagerness to please. They are a great option for families looking for a loyal, energetic companion, but they require more space and exercise than Cavapoos. If you enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, jogging, or playing fetch, a Labradoodle might be a better fit than a Cavapoo.
4. Bernedoodle (Bernese Mountain Dog & Poodle Mix)
Overview:
The Bernedoodle is a mix between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. Known for their gentle and loyal nature, Bernedoodles are larger and tend to have a calm temperament compared to other doodle breeds.
Size: Ranges from mini (15-35 pounds) to standard (50-90 pounds).
Temperament: Calm, loyal, and affectionate. Bernedoodles are known for being great with kids and forming strong bonds with their families.
Coat: Curly or wavy, often hypoallergenic. Requires regular brushing to prevent tangles and mats.
Exercise Needs: Moderate. While they enjoy outdoor activities, they are generally less energetic than Goldendoodles or Labradoodles.
Best For: Families with children, dog owners who want a loyal, loving companion without the need for constant exercise.
Unique Qualities:
Bernedoodles are often calmer than other doodle breeds, making them great for households looking for a more laid-back dog. They are also more independent and can handle being alone for short periods, which isn’t always the case with Cavapoos. Their size and calm nature make them excellent for families with young children, but they do require regular grooming due to their thick, wavy coats.
5. Aussiedoodle (Australian Shepherd & Poodle Mix)
Overview:
The Aussiedoodle is a cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle. They are highly energetic, intelligent, and known for their herding instincts.
Size: Ranges from mini (20-30 pounds) to standard (40-70 pounds).
Temperament: Energetic, intelligent, and eager to learn. Aussiedoodles are known for their agility and love for mental challenges.
Coat: Wavy or curly, usually hypoallergenic, but requires regular grooming to prevent matting.
Exercise Needs: High. Aussiedoodles thrive on mental and physical stimulation. They enjoy agility training, puzzle games, and plenty of outdoor activities.
Best For: Active families, dog owners with experience in training, and those who enjoy dog sports or outdoor adventures.
Unique Qualities:
Aussiedoodles are perfect for those who love an active, adventurous dog. They excel in agility and obedience training, making them ideal for owners who want to engage in dog sports or activities. Compared to Cavapoos, Aussiedoodles are more energetic and require more stimulation, both mentally and physically. If you’re seeking a calmer, more low-maintenance companion, the Cavapoo is the better option.
6. Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel & Poodle Mix)
Overview:
The Cockapoo, a mix between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle, is another small doodle breed similar in size and temperament to the Cavapoo.
Size: Typically 10-15 inches tall and weighing 12-25 pounds.
Temperament: Affectionate, cheerful, and easy-going. Cockapoos are highly adaptable and great with children and other pets.
Coat: Curly or wavy, with minimal shedding, similar to Cavapoos. Requires regular grooming to prevent matting.
Exercise Needs: Moderate. Like Cavapoos, Cockapoos enjoy daily walks and playtime but are also content to relax indoors.
Best For: Families, singles, and apartment dwellers looking for a friendly, low-maintenance dog.
Unique Qualities:
Cockapoos are similar to Cavapoos in many ways, but they tend to be slightly more energetic due to their Cocker Spaniel ancestry. Both breeds are excellent for families and apartment living, but Cavapoos might have a slight edge in terms of calmness and adaptability. If you want a playful but relaxed dog, the Cavapoo might be the better choice.
Conclusion: Which Doodle Breed is Right for You?
When choosing between a Cavapoo and other doodle breeds, it’s important to consider your lifestyle, living situation, and how much time you can dedicate to grooming and exercise. Cavapoos are the perfect choice for those who want a small, affectionate, and low-maintenance dog that’s great for apartment living and families. However, if you prefer a larger, more active dog, breeds like the Goldendoodle or Labradoodle may be a better fit. Bernedoodles offer a calmer, more laid-back temperament, while Aussiedoodles are perfect for the active dog owner who loves a challenge.
No matter which doodle breed you choose, you’ll have a loving, loyal companion who will bring joy to your home for years to come.

Size Considerations: Finding The Perfect Doodle Companion
When choosing the ideal canine companion, one of the key factors to consider is the dog's size. Doodle breeds, beloved for their adorable appearance and friendly personalities, come in various sizes. Whether you're drawn to the majestic standard-sized Bernedoodle or the more petite mini Goldendoodle, understanding how size can impact your choice is crucial. Keep this in mind when looking for Bernedoodle or Goldendoodle puppies in NJ.
In this blog, we'll help you navigate the world of doodle breeds and make an informed decision based on your size preferences.
Why Size Matters
Before diving into the specifics of standard and mini doodle breeds, it's essential to understand why size matters in the first place. The size of your dog can influence various aspects of your daily life, including:
Space Requirements: Larger doodles, like standard Bernedoodles, need more space to move around comfortably. A mini doodle might be a better fit if you live in a smaller apartment or have limited outdoor space.
Exercise Needs: Bigger doodles typically require more exercise to stay healthy and happy. Smaller doodles may be content with shorter walks and indoor play.
Allergies And Shedding: Some people are sensitive to pet dander and prefer breeds that shed less. Smaller doodles often shed less than their larger counterparts.
Travel And Portability: If you plan to travel frequently with your furry friend, a mini doodle's smaller size can make transportation and accommodation logistics easier.
Lifestyle Compatibility: Your daily routine and lifestyle should align with your chosen doodle's size to ensure a harmonious relationship.
Comparing Standard And Mini Doodles
Now that you understand why size matters, let's look closer at standard and mini-doodle breeds. This will also help you make the right purchase decision when looking for Bernedoodle or Goldendoodle puppies in NJ.
Standard Doodles:
Size Range: Standard doodles can weigh between 60-95 pounds, depending on the breed and gender. For instance, standard Bernedoodles typically fall in the 60-80-pound range for females and 70-95 pounds for males.
Temperament: Standard doodles are known for their gentle and friendly nature. They are great family dogs and get along well with children and other pets.
Exercise Needs: These dogs have higher exercise requirements due to their size. Daily walks and playtime are essential to keep them physically and mentally stimulated.
Space Requirements: Standard doodles thrive in larger homes with yards or outdoor space access. They may be better for apartment living.
Mini Doodles:
Size Range: Mini doodles are considerably smaller, typically 15-45 pounds, depending on the breed and gender. For example, mini Goldendoodles may weigh 35-45 pounds for males and 28-35 pounds for females.
Temperament: Mini doodles share their larger counterparts' friendly and sociable nature. They are also great for families but can adapt well to smaller living spaces.
Exercise Needs: While mini doodles still need regular exercise, their smaller size means they can get by with shorter walks and indoor play sessions.
Space Requirements: Mini doodles are a good fit for apartments or homes with limited space, provided they receive enough exercise and mental stimulation.
Making Your Choice:
When choosing between standard and mini doodle breeds, consider the following:
Lifestyle: Assess your living situation, daily routine, and activity level to determine which size would be the best fit.
Allergies: If you or a family member has allergies, a smaller doodle with less shedding may be preferable.
Size Preferences: Think about your personal preference in terms of the dog's size and how it fits into your vision of the ideal furry companion.
Breeder Reputation: Regardless of size, choose a reputable breeder who prioritizes the health and well-being of their dogs.
Size matters when choosing the perfect doodle breed for your family. Whether you opt for a standard or mini doodle, each size has its own advantages and considerations. By carefully evaluating your lifestyle and preferences, you can make an informed decision that leads to a happy and harmonious partnership with your four-legged friend. Consider this guide when looking for Bernedoodle or Goldendoodle puppies in NJ.

Unleashing the Cutest Canines: Where to Find Bernedoodle Puppies for Sale
After deciding that you would love to own a bernedoodle puppy, the next task is knowing where to find them. Some people will consider finding a rescue center with the bernedoodle puppies, among other options. However, it is important that we discuss places where you can get a puppy with a guarantee of good health. The choices you may have include:
Breeders
When considering finding a pure-breed puppy, you need assurance through professionalism and qualifications. Consider a reputable breeder with young bernedoodle puppies for sale near you. You are guaranteed to find the right puppy with a guarantee of good health. A breeder’s advantage is having the right upbringing and introduction to early training opportunities.
Rescue centers
Another option you may have when searching for a bernedoodle puppy is rescue centers. There is an advantage you get and give while adopting the puppies in rescue centers. You get the dog you like for a lower price, and save the rescue center the trouble of uncontrolled breeding. Try out a rescue center with good Bernedoodles.
New litter
When your friend just had a litter of bernedoodle puppies, you can get some from them. They would have to be well taken care of and brought up in a clean place to ensure their health. A new litter will comprise multiple puppies in different coats, genders, and personalities. Visit the litter and determine the puppy that fits your family.
Puppy brokers
When you search online for puppies for sale, you will get multiple results. From there, you can choose the best bernedoodle puppy. Have the right tips to determine a reputable online puppy seller with puppies that are pure Bernedoodles and in perfect health. Go for the puppies and enjoy great company.

Maintaining Health and Happiness: The Importance of Ideal Dog Weight
If you could just weigh your dog and know right away that they are the ideal weight, size, and overall health, wouldn't that be simple? However, things don't quite work like that. The American Kennel Club does provide a weight chart that you can use for purebred dogs. There, you can view the recommended dog weight for each breed of dog, both male and female.
However, what would happen if your dog is a mixed breed? The ideal weight for a dog cannot be determined by a single figure. In addition, the size chart provides a range. If your dog is in the middle of the range, is it healthier? What happens if it rests exactly at the bottom edge? or at the maximum?
Even a pound or two can make a big difference in appearance and health for some dogs. With just one extra pound, a purebred Chihuahua, for instance, can have a different appearance and way of life.
Why is it so difficult to determine if your dog is the right weight?
Let's examine some of the most well-liked dog breeds and their estimated geographical range. Take the German Shepherd, for instance. An adult male dog's weight ranges from 65 to 90 pounds according to the AKC breed standard. Isn't that a significant difference?
Or, as an example, the Labrador Retriever. The AKC recommends a weight range of 65 to 80 pounds. That represents a nearly 23 percent difference. Additionally, it can change based on whether your dog is a female or male.
To put it plainly, evaluating a dog's health by looking at its breed size and growth chart is not the best approach.
How about canines?
Dogs with mixed breed genetics—dogs descended from two different breeds—have become more and more common in recent years. On occasion, their genetic makeup may include elements from three distinct breeds.
The hypoallergenic coat of the Poodle makes it a popular breed to mix. The Chihuahua, Yorkshire terrier, Labrador Retriever, American Pit Bull terrier, and other breeds are also well-liked options.
Thus, how do you determine your Goldendoodle, Puggle, Cockapoo, Maltipoo, Bernedoodle, and so forth's ideal dog weight?
Sadly, not every single dog has a clear reference. Additionally, the range of mixed breeds can be even wider. For instance, combining a small and a large dog breed.
How to Interpret the Dog Weight Chart
The good news is that you can determine whether your puppy is underweight, at a healthy weight, or average by visually assessing their weight.

It's clear that muscle mass has been lost.

You can see your dog's ribs through the skin.
You cannot feel any visible body fat on the skin.

You may or may not be able to see your dog's ribs.
When you look down at your dog, the waist is visible behind the ribs.
The abdomen is tucked up and does not return straight to the legs when viewed from the side.
Overweight

There are fat deposits in the lumbar region and across the base of the tail.
Your dog has either no waist at all or very little.
Some abdominal tuck is apparent.

Your dog's thorax, which extends from the neck to the abdomen and base of the tail, is heavily deposited with fat.
There is no abdominal tuck or waist tuck.

What to do?
You should take immediate action if your dog is classified as severely underweight or severely overweight. If your dog is overweight or underweight, even little adjustments can have an impact. To begin with, you ought to speak with a veterinarian.
If your dog is underweight, find out why they are not at their ideal weight and then increase their calorie intake in a sensible manner. Increasing portion sizes and changing the frequency of meals are two examples. Alternately, try a higher-calorie meal.
If your dog is overweight, gradually increase play and exercise in their daily routine, cut back on treats and snacks, and limit their intake of human food.
