ARCANE LEAGUE OF LEGENDS SPOILERS!!
just did my english nat four talk on isha from arcane so heres the entire powerpoint copy and pasted because im unreasonably proud of it.
I'm going to talk about the character Isha in arcane, her parallel to Powder in season one act one, and her contribution to Jinx's development. My three main points will be her introduction in episode two, her impact on Jinx's character development, and her death in episode six.
When Isha is introduced in episode two, she is shown being chased by a group of men. She must make a large jump running from them, a parallel to Powder's introduction in the first series. Powder makes the jump, doesn't quite make it and is intentionally saved by Vi. Isha also falls and is unintentionally saved by Jinx. This represents the difference in their relationships. Vi was intentionally a role model to Powder, encouraging her to go out on jobs with them and assuring her she's ready. Jinx is unintentionally a role model to Isha, through her acts as a symbol for Zaun.
After her initial meeting with Jinx, Isha chases her into her fight against Smeech with Sevika. In this fight, Isha throws Jinx's bomb whisker, giving her time to shoot one of Smeech's men once he turns around, which is a parallel to the scene in series one, act one of Powder throwing her defective bomb when cornered, and then having to throw away the bag she was protecting. When Isha throws her bomb, her plan works. Isha is consistently a parallel of who Powder tried to be, rather than who she was. This is important to her character as it introduces her as a representation of Powder.
Throughout Isha's five episodes in the series, she's shown bonding with Jinx. She's used as a plot device to change Jinx's character. In episode four they are shown in Jinx's hideout, which is now much brighter. Isha has Jinx dye her hair blue and give her plaits like Jinx's. Jinx talks about how she didn't get to do that sort of thing with her sister, and states that Isha reminds her of Powder.
Isha attends the rally Jinx chooses not to show up to with Sevika. She is shown standing on top of a statue, leading people in support of Jinx as a symbol for Zaun. Enforcers raid the rally and arrest everyone there. Sevika escapes and then breaks into Stillwater with Jinx to break Isha out. After Warwick arrives in Stillwater, Jinx instructs Sevika to get Isha out. Isha is shown crying and attempting to go back for Jinx throughout the fight scene, a parallel to Powder in series one episode three, after Vi leaves her because she isn't ready to help fight.
In episode five, Jinx goes to get Vi, leading them to the cave she lost Warwick in, and they start to fight. Isha jumps in to help attack Vi, and when Vi hits her back and she's injured Jinx drops everything to check on her. This is used to show the parallel between Jinx's previous relationship with Vi, and now with Isha, representing the shift between Powder being protected by Vi, to Jinx taking on Vi's role years later.
Isha's final scene features multiple references to Powder, and parallels between their characters. During Isha's final scene in episode six, a series of flashbacks are shown of her and Jinx from her perspective. In one of these flashbacks, they're spray painting along a wall. Isha has blue paint, and Jinx has pink, representing Jinx's role as a role model like Vi, and Isha taking Powder's place in that relationship. In multiple of these flashbacks, both Isha and Jinx are shown with blue eyes for a few frames. This shows how Isha represents the person Powder wanted to be, and the way she brings Powder back in Jinx.
Isha's sacrifice to save Jinx is a parallel to Powder's attempt to save Vander in series one episode three. Powder used hex crystals in her monkey bomb, and due to it being overloaded it killed Vander, Claggor and Mylo. Isha used Jinx's hex tech gun, intentionally overloaded to stop Warwick and allow everyone else to evacuate, and her plan worked. This further supports the idea that she represents who Powder wanted to be. Her presence and impact on Jinx was a necessary plot device for Jinx to be humanized after being portrayed as being so apathetic for the majority of the first series. Her death formed who Jinx was for her arc in the final act.
To summarize, I've discussed Isha's introduction as a parallel to Powder, her impact on Jinx's character development and their representation of Powder and Vi's relationship, and her death's impact on Jinx's final character arc in the end of the series. Her character was used as a plot device throughout her brief appearance in the series, with no lines and constant references to Powder. She was used effectively in Jinx's development and the progression of the plot, and despite being so obviously a plot device was effective as her own character, with scenes shown from her perspective and her differences to Powder in each parallel.
ANYWAY you are so cool if you took the time to read that insane yap i spewed onto a powerpoint but yeah i am so so proud of it cause i suck balls at english and i did it for nat four BUT IT MAKES NAT FIVE and it was so fun and YIPPEE

Digital Portfolio #3 - Kita Shinsuke
Despite only showing up during the Nationals Arch, Inarizaki is a team to remember. I am always amazed by how Furudate is able to create so many different characters, all of them having the potential of being the main characters. Within the Inarizaki team, there are many outstanding players and well-written characters, such as Osamu and Atsumu, known as the Miya twins, and also Suna, but in this digital portfolio, I will be focusing on the captain of the Inarizaki team, Kita Shinsuke.
Unlike many of the other series captains, Kita has no special talent or overflowing passion for the sport. But instead of this being a drawback to his character, that is what makes him unique. Kita’s whole philosophy and character is that results are just something that happens, not something he strives for, which is the complete opposite of Oikawa, who believes that results are everything. In Volume 31, Chapter 274, Kita even says, “I am built upon the small things I do every day, and the end results are no more than a byproduct of that.”
With this type of thinking, Kita is able to be confident in his playing. Not arrogant or narcissistic, but he knows that he’ll be able to get the job done, as it’s just another part of his route. During games, his teammates can get stressed out, but Kita is able to keep his cool and steer his members in the right direction.
Despite his volleyball skills, Kita is outshined by his underclassman. His 3rd year is his first year to receive a jersey and play on the court. Even though he is captain of the team, Kita doesn’t get to play the entire game, instead, a fellow third-year, Aran Ojiro, takes the title of “on-court captain”.
Kita tends to be blunt with his words, which sometimes makes his underclassmen a bit scared to get on his bad side. But despite this, Kita is caring and wants the best for his teammates
I love that Furudate could have easily glazed over a character like Kita, who has nothing outstanding about him, but he didn’t. Furudate gave us a peek into Kita’s past, which helped explain his character even more. Furudate could have easily just given all of the fame and glory to Atsumu, who is one of the main supporting characters leading into the post-time skip, but Furudate made an effort to create stories for each and every one of his characters.
Kita is an underrated character, being outshined by his underclassmen, but you’ll instantly fall in love with him by understanding more about him.

The Sea Otter (#3)
The sea otter has been a large part of Anishinaabe history, featuring in many creation myths, particularly, in the story of the otter, it is said that when the great spirt created the earth, he called a meeting with all the spirts. He told them how he intended to put humans onto the earth and how the animals would play a important role in this creation.
Each animals in turn came up to the Great Spirt and each one would talk him, telling him how they'd help the humans in their own ways and among those, would be the guardian spirt of the Otter. The Otter confirmed that he'd help the Great Spirt in guiding the humans to good paths in his creation. He told the Great Spirt that because of his strengths, he'd teach the humans to work together, how to protect their friends and family when they want to unite- "When they need me I will show the people the direction to unity."
Because of this, the Otter became a symbol of good luck and prosperity. But most importantly, the Otter became known as a guardian spirt. There was a belief that the Otter has the power to heal the sick and bring good luck to those who encounter it.

I have a song analysis project for my English class and we have to draw/use ai to make an album cover/song cover for it. I chose to draw my cover and this is how it turned out!! :)
This is just the sketch, mind you.
It’s for the song ‘Labour’ by Paris Paloma. If you haven’t heard it yet (which may be pretty unlikely since it used to be pretty popular), you should go give it a listen! :D

(To my followers, this is for a project for English and not a fanfic update.)
Hi there, and welcome to my blog. My name is John E. Douglas. I’m a former FBI criminal profiler and retired unit chief of the BAU, and for years, I’ve sat face-to-face with some of the most dangerous killers in history. You could say I’ve made it my life’s work to understand the minds of those most people would rather forget or glorify them like gods. (Douglas, 6-8)
To understand the mind of a criminal, you have to apply this formula of Why + How = Who. Here is not so much Who done it? But rather Why? And in the end if you have discovered the Why? and add in the How? We can come to understand the Who? Because Why + How = Who. (Douglas, 1)
My life has been anything but ordinary. For decades, I worked in the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit (Now BAU; Behavioral Analysis Unit), interviewing serial killers, rapists, and other violent offenders to understand their motivations, patterns, and triggers. My fascination with understanding criminal behavior started many years ago whenever I was just a young field agent with my first posting in Detriot to catch the many bank robbers from the 70's, I'd catch up to 5 bank robbers a day. And after apprehending them I'd ask them questions about what led up to their crime, what made them do it, how they did it, and all the different answers would allow me to start profiling bank robbers even before I joined the BSU. (Douglas, 4)
So, why am I writing this blog? Because even after all these years, even after my retierment, I’m still fascinated by what makes people do what they do, especially those who commit the unthinkable. Through this blog, I want to share the stories behind the interviews with some of the most depraved men and women I've talked to. I’ll take you behind the scenes of the cases, the questions, and the answers that still haunt me to this day.
If you're interested in the psychology of criminals, or just understanding why humans act on their impulses, stick around and read more into the life of a profiler and the cases that were the foundation to creating the BAU.
take a seat to talk to the killer across the table. To explore the minds of madness, and understand the mind of a true killer.

ALPHA KIDS: Draw your best friends!
DIRK: I'd say I'm better at one on one character interaction work of the more intimate variety, but I think this piece came together nicely. DIRK: Fun for the whole family style wholesomeness, any motherfucker in the radius of a screen displaying this image will instantly get hit with a sore case of heartburn and their tear ducts will clock in overtime at the weeping factory.
ROXY: im so proud of these i think these are my best designs yet :3 but omg dirk callie and jake were SOOO peculiar about their damn designs over my shoulder. jake wanted me to clarify that even in pink pen form his little guy is BLUE. so there. sigh this is the one occasion they could take notes from janey.. JUST LET LE ARTIST WORK!
JANE: Boy! I don't draw often but I always was fond of calligraphy growing up. I was kind of inspired by all of the other's works, but especially Calliope's swirls she puts in her art. It's very fun to add!
JAKE: Im not quite the best with posing, but i find the head very fun to study! Especially skulls.. so good ole calliope makes for the perfect muse! (hehe)
CALLIOPE: i realized i hadn't ever made a piece with Us in the same place at once. u_u CALLIOPE: bUt since it's reality now here's all of Us together, United at last! ^u^

tw // implications of self-harm
ah.
i've made it here again.
the same path i knew too long ago and how i never wanted to come back,
but once again, "it is all my fault."
only anger and frustration runs through my veins, the hate has grown for far too long,
now overflowing of its already cracked glass,
and i can't help but wonder if i have truly gone insane.
repeated words that cloud my mind, coming from a place called home:
useless.
worthless.
it goes never-ending.
i know it all too well.
will i be able to get things right?
hit. hit.
from someone named myself.
the purples and blues that spread across my skin scream for mercy,
blending into the white noise of my mind.
another hit and another.
ripped skin and crimson.
i don't know how much time has passed.
will i be able to get things right?
this burning sensation from the top of my head to my toes aren't satisfying enough.
it needs to be done.
it needs to be done.
yet i hate it so much.
i don't want to feel this way.
i swear i am not the child you think i am,
but no matter what i do,
it is never enough.
will i be able to get things right?
as time passed alone with myself,
i can only feel my wounds splitting open.
i don't know how much longer i can take.
i'm tired of these thoughts created by you
cause i know i'm deserving of enough,
but i can't help that i only want to make you proud.
will i be able to get things right?
"I'm sorry. it will never happen again."
yet how many times have i heard you say that?
i can't escape this cycle.
i can't be the person you want me to be.
i just wish someone could understand me.
will i be able to get things right?
there will be a day when i'm not afraid,
not afraid of you or this responsibility because truthfully,
you barely know me.
i am not the child of years ago that you long for.
for that i have grown, lived, and learned the unknown who has shaped me into me.
no longer am i the little girl that you compare me to.
though for now, i'll stay a child.
as "it is all i am and all i ever will be."
so although i already know the answer...
tell me, will i be able to get things right?
