I HAVE RETURNED!! (Kicks down the door) Why did I do that when I was already inside...? Anyway, Angsty Chloenette AU! In which Chloe is the beloved idol of Paris, loved by all, but especially her supportive girlfriend/wife Marinette, even when the villainous terrorist Chat Noir hounds her for reasons she can't even begin to understand... except it's all a lie. Chloe used the Peacock and/or Butterfly Miraculous to trap all of Paris under her spell, living her ideal reality, free from the pain of her day to day life; she was surprised when her desire to have "all her dreams come true" resulted in her and Marinette being a couple... but she can't deny that she loves the time they share now. And she won't EVER let anyone take her happiness away!! Meanwhile, Adrien, who escaped the brainwashing, is desperately looking for Ladybug while trying to convince Chloe to undo everything, hoping she'll see that this is wrong. At least now he knows that Chloe is interested in Marinette, maybe he can play match maker when this is all over!

Epic, this would make for amazing angst and fluff god damn. I think at the end, Chloe would give up her fantasy land after realizing she was only deluding herself at the end of the day. This is also an interesting route for Chlodrien friendship, ESPECIALLY if Chat is still in love with Ladybug.

They talked about what they wanted when they'll grow up. He wanted to explore and travel the world without anyone knowing him, she wanted the world to know about everything she loved and adored without looking at her in complete disgust.

She got it, but she also didn't. And him? He doesn't know what to take away from her to make everything better.

I do have some mixed feelings on this news because like.

On one hand, Astruc is kind of a train wreck. I do think the plot suffered for his decisions. Especially around Chloé's arc, but also just in how little progression there was with the Lovesquare. Not to mention introducing new things only to throw them out before fully exploring them. And I do think that Canon deciding to steal the bike and run might be a good choice.

On the other hand..... A creator being bumped from control of his creation does bother me. It's kind of the 'we don't care about ScarJo but we support her suing Disney' scenario. Yeah I think Astruc has his problems, but it makes me concerned about the industry as a whole.

Not gonna lie, I am so not forward to the Virginity prompt... I might cheat and just do “first time” or something where its just them for the first time? Cause like... beginning sex is awkward and very different for everyone, you know? And I don’t want to feel obligated to spend a ton of time doing really awkward sex and going into long exposition about safety and birthcontrol and all the other stuff... but that’s also really important so I don’t want to go the other extreme of Romance Novel OMG perfect first time sex! Cause that’s just silly... ugh why must the prompt be SO LAME

Not gonna lie, this is the most excited I have been about writing a series in a while because with all the stress of life I have just been really uninspired but this is literally getting to use ART as my prompts and I LOVE it. I really hope it keeps going because its unbelievably fun and inspiring and if feels like doing a collab which I rarely get to do, sad little loner that I am. 

Anyways I am working on part 3 right now and the only question I have to ask is how to I balance my desire to dive into some fun kinks with the fact that the characters are total Noobs and just starting out? I am thinking its mostly going to be some light bondage play with a focus on experimentation. Should be fun.

This fic is tempting. It has so many pairings cause its endgame OT4 and (as of the current outline) features Alyanette, Alyanettenoir, DJWifi, Marichat, DJWifinoir, and a lot or hillarity of Adrien DESPERATELY trying to let his friends know his identity

This I actually have a lot of it done. MY SO likes to challenge me to come up with ways to make “Things that shouldn’t work WORK” and the challenge was to find a way to do either Chloenette or Chloadrien that he found believable. Well not one to back down from a challenge I came up with a story outline and some written scenes for a ChloT3 fic cause why not double down. It’s set fairly far in the future (They are all in their late 20s and living on their own) And it mostly centers around Chloe who is trying to deal with her string of failed relationships and her continued feelings/lust for the two people who she never really got over (and who of course just HAD to find each other.) 

Those are what I am working on right now. If you guys have any thoughts, suggestions or questions- or even just want to know more about them, just let me know ^_^

Exactly! I ship a little bit of Alyanette and a little bit of Chloenette, but neither are endgame for me, I just think it would make for a great experience in life for all involved!

Shipping is such a multilayered thing too.

You can ship characters for happily ever afters, sure, you can ship them for tragically-then-happily, you can ship two or three or four or more, you can ship endless combinations of personality types and relationship dynamics

but you can also ship characters under very specific circumstances, or for a certain period of their life but not for all of it, or only in a certain universe. You might say “I ship these characters” and what you mean is you think they are fascinating together and could have a story together. That story could be any kind of story. 

Sometimes it means you want them together for the rest of their lives. Sometimes it means something different than that.

I don’t know about you, but for me, “I ship it” means “There is a story in this ship and I am interested in that story.”

3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in?

Sailor Moon, without a doubt. Everyone there I’ve met (I know there are some bad apples, but not out of who I’ve met) is just so lovely and chill, and their writing/artwork is amazing too! In general, a really kind and non-toxic fandom overall.

4. Do you regret getting involved in any fandoms?

Oh my god... the Naruto fandom. That place should be renamed ‘Tumblr Fandom Hell’ lmao. Thankfully, there are two friends I have, @desi-pluto and @sasuke-kamui, who are both some fantastic multifandom blogs that are in the Naruto fandom, and they’re super positive compared to the rest of the fandom lol.

15. Is there an obscure ship which you love?

For ML, I actually really like Adrigami, which is very unpopular and considered a ‘crack ship’ in comparison to Lukanette. I feel they really understand each other in a way none of the other couples do (while they understand each other, Adrien and Kagami’s is different in a very appealing way), and while they’re not my favorite ML ship, I still like them.

Same for Nathanette. I know it’s really rare to see nowadays and everyone else is really attracted to Love Square, Lukanette and NathMarc, and while I like two of those (N/M and LS) more than Nathanette, I still have a huge soft spot for them. I also like the creative/artistic couples theme, which they both fit, considering she wants to be a fashion designer and him a comic book artist. I find them to be a sweet pairing that while isn’t as good as their canon/endgame pairs, they deserve a little more love. (I also find them more interesting/appealing than Lukanette, so...)

Another good one is Chlogami. That ship is 👌 but underrated AF

16. Are there any popular ships in your fandom which you dislike?

There are a lot I dislike because of fandoms, such as Lukanette/Kagaminette/Lukadrien (and to an extent, Lilanette and Chloenette, but those are equally canon and fandom), but nothing compares to how much I despise F*ligami and F*linette.

Felinette is so disgusting. He tried to force a kiss on her even after she said no, but of course, to the salters, anyone is better than Adrien. (Adrien/Chat is just a dorky teenager (in the good way) saying PG-rated puns, not some dangerous sexual predator. Y’all are disgusting.)

And Kagami ‘borne to a world-famous fencing family and Certified Badass(TM)’ Tsurugi would never date someone as terrible as Felix. She would literally cut his lips off is he tried to kiss her without her consent.

For other fandoms, NaruSaku and SNS for Naruto (fandoms and canon), and for Sailor Moon, Harusa.

17. Who was your first OTP and are they still your favorite?

My very first OTP ever was Mamoru and Usagi from Sailor Moon, ever since I was six. Heck, I’ve loved them before I even knew what OTPs were. (Not to mention, it’s rare I ever love a couple with an age gap, but in their defense, it isn’t statutory r*pe considering that’s mainly applied if they were to do anything sexual, at least where I live in the US. Plus, I’m not really well-informed/versed on that topic and such.)

They’re in my list of top ships today, but my current (and likely permanent/all-time) OTP is the Love Square.

19. Is there a ship you wished you could get behind, but you just don’t feel them?

Lukanette. That’s it.

20. Any ships which you surprised yourself by liking?

MiyAka, Adrigami, Chlogami, all Senshi x Shitennou ships (I used to want them single but OH MY GOD ALL OF THEM ARE SO CUTE), and UsaRei (I used to hate it but now I SHIP THEM HARD and even if they’ll never be canon, I still like it)

Imagine: AU, where Chloé is Ladybug and Marinette is Chat Noire

hello!

I think there's already a fanfic about this? Though I'm not sure if Chloenette is the endgame ship (hopefully tho!).

I've wanted to write my version of this trope but still got other stuff in progress so it'll be a while. I do like the Ladybug!Chloe idea especially when she's being guided like a child by Tikki. And not like the canon one where I feel it's more of a best friend/mentor, I'm thinking like an actual mom to Chloe. Teaches her how to not keep turning people into akumas and politeness but also not shutting her down when she complains or relapses.

Plagg and Marinette are a chaotic duo because Marinette is clumsy and Plagg is enjoying said clumsiness. 'Oh my god I just accidentally broke my maman's vase!' 'Accidentally? Damn kid, you're good.' Plagg is also arrogant (sometimes although it's not harmful) and too confident for his own good (again, sometimes) which rubs off on Marinette in mostly a good way. If she's learned to be more sneaky and comes up with better excuses, well, nobody has to know how.
