★ last chance; long live the inbox graveyard! —i pick a long forgotten request in my inbox and write a short blurb or musings
hot tub time machine lando norris x you —no warnings, just fluff "could we get a number 14 (pool/hot tub sex) with lando pleaseeee? so excited that you’re writing again!!" —requested by anon on october 8th, 2024
“happy birthday, sweetheart...”
“i really needed this," he sighed, "knowing i would be home with you for this was the only thing getting me through the last few of weeks.”
lando could feel every single ache and pain wash away as he slid into the hot tub, stomach full of the gorgeous italian spread you’d ordered for dinner. his favourite. he swore you were an angel sent to earth, everything you did for him was heavenly, he could never find the words to tell you how much he loved you.
“you look so happy lan,” you smiled, dropping the kimono you’d worn during dinner as lando’s eyes cast across your body, luring you into the tub.
“i’m very happy - especially when i get to enjoy all of this… c’mere pretty girl.”
a soft giggle slipped from your lips as you grasped his hand, "let me get a bottle of red wine for us to share and i'll join you — do you wanna open the one daniel gave you?"
"ooo, are we entering that portion of the night?" lando asked suggestively as you stood up, shooting him quizzical look.
"what do you mean?" you asked earning a loud laugh from the tub, water splashing a little as lando pulled himself up to the edge, smiling over at you with a look you knew all too well.
"as soon as you start on the red wine, you get so frisky," he stated as if it was a well-known fact, one that you certainly weren't aware of.
"i do not!" you staunchly defended, earning another loud scoff.
"oh, wow," lando laughed, "yes, you do baby and i'm not complaining so crack her open..." he teased as you carefully stepped into the tub, with lando's help of course, eyes still narrowed in annoyance.
"okay so maybe wine makes me a little more amorous than usual but i think i'm just like that when i drink, no?" you pouted, earning yourself a pity kiss from the birthday boy.
"red wine makes you horny and that's okay," he teased again with a cheeky smirk on his face as you handed him the stemmed glass, "ta."
"we'll see then, won't we," you tutted, pouring two glasses of wine while lando chuckled to himself.
"i already know what's gonna happen but sure," he baited with a wink as he slowly dunked his head under the water and emerged with a shake of his wild curls, sending water flying across the room and all over you.
"you are so sure of yourself tonight."
lando's eyes skimmed across your body briefly while you claw-clipped your hair up, not wanting the hassle of having to dry it before going to bed. secretly you knew where the night was headed, red wine or not— it was his birthday after all, but you weren't about to admit that to the man hypnotised by your every move, jaw slack from the glorious view of your cleavage.
lando was a simple man.
"well, i am the birthday boy after all so i reserve the right to be cocky once a year, yeah?" he taunted from the other side of the tub.
"yeah, only once a year..." you rolled your eyes humorously.
the distance between the two of you seemed too far for lando, so he sculled the rest of his drink and carefully placed the glass on the floor before giving you a mischievous smile.
"steady on, party boy," you chuckled as he leaned forward and snaked an arm around your waist, pulling you into his warm hold.
"i just want to focus all of my attention on you," he whispered, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear that had fallen out of your clip, his emerald irises darted over your face, finally resting on yours.
"i missed you a lot, you know."
you took that as an invitation to straddle his lap and rest your elbows over his shoulders, wine glass dangling from your fingers. lando smoothed his hands down your back and and pressed fiery kisses across your chest. his lips travelled back up your neck, along your jaw before finding your soft lips in a slow, passionate kiss. you moved in sync with him, bringing one of your hands up to trawl through his wet, tangled curls. the chlorine always got the best of them.
lando hummed quietly into the kiss before pulling back slightly, "this is the best birthday i've ever had... and i couldn't be more in love with you," he confessed as you took the chance to admire the sweet boy you'd chosen to share your life with.
you grasped his face gently between your hands and pressed another soft kiss to his lips, making sure he knew just how much you loved him, no matter what life threw your way.
"i love you too, darling... happy birthday."
a/n — the first of the end of (f1) season sale!! this hot tub request actually wasn't forgotten, just half-baked so thank you anon for sparking up the inspiration to finally finish it! hope you enjoyed it 😌

I am VERY skeptical about the RBR Charles thing but they (see: Charles, RBR personell of all kinds) keep being SO WEIRD AND SUSPICIOUS about it
Yep yep yep. I go through cycles of being completely convinced and then calling myself delusional, but the fact remains that Max changed his tune on being teammates with Charles recently, Charles keeps talking about Max in interviews praising BOTH his performance and the car, Christian Horner is posting Max and Charles on Instagram as is the RBR account. I genuinely believe Red Bull are at LEAST trying to seriously poach him.
I'm still unsure as to whether they're working towards 2024 or 2025 (as Red Bull have proven with the recent talks with Lando, they're more than happy to buy out someone's contract), but I am leaning more towards 2025, and I believe that Charles at RBR is a real, serious possibility in 2025. Let me explain why.
First, Checo still has a contract through 2024 and while Red Bull aren't always great with honouring contracts, I think the recent popularity and love they've witnessed first-hand for Checo in Texas and Mexico might change their mind on letting him go early. Ultimately, Red Bull Racing is marketing for Red Bull, and Checo obviously brings in sales in North America, and them mistreating Checo might lead to a sales dip in that region. This is why I think, despite the media frenzy, RBR are highly unlikely to drop Checo for 2024. There is no way that RBR is renewing Checo's contract, but at least he can see it out and they can part ways without much damage to either of them at the end of the F1 2024 Season.
Charles's current contract with Ferrari is also up at the end of the 2024 season. Again, even though 2023 has been absolute dogshit for Charles and Ferrari, I don't see that contract ending early. For one, Charles has apparently been promised that the 2024 car will be developed according to his needs and preferences, and it is ridiculous to leave a team who has made you that promise, even if that team is as flakey as Ferrari. I think Charles is waiting to see if the team does change in 2024 before he pushes for contract renewal. It's important to note here that contrary to popular opinion, I believe the ball is completely in Charles's court here when it comes to renewal. He is the Ferrari golden prince, he is Ferrari in a way that no driver really ever has been before, I think it was evident in Monza this year most of all. Carlos drives for Ferrari, and Charles is Ferrari and you could see it in the way that the tifosi treated them. They love Carlos, they adore and worship Charles. This is how Charles managed to convince them to build a car for him in 2024, and it's how I believe Charles is putting off the contract negotiations. This is a key point. Carlos's extended media team and family have complained several times about Carlos not being able to begin contract negotiations because of Charles in some way and Ferrari unwilling to negotiate with Carlos until they've settled Charles (I think this is due to the fact that they only intend to keep one of them and they'd like it to be Charles, but that's an essay for another day). So Charles has himself in a position where he doesn't have to commit to the team unless he sees that it is going to grow in the way he wants it to.
To quote Charles, "I view it in a way that whenever I won’t believe in the project anymore, that probably will be the time when I’ll have to go away. Because it’s in these kinds of situations that you don’t get the best out of yourself, that you don’t help the team as much as it needs to be helped. But this is definitely not the case at the moment. I believe in the project as much as I’ve ever believed in the project before. Especially since Fred arrived. So for now it’s clear. Then it’s also clear that I want to win. But I believe in this project and I’m sure we are working in the right direction.”
So maybe 2024 happens and Ferrari brings a championship-contender car, in which case Charles signs with Ferrari, they get rid of Carlos and probably bring in Alex Albon as a n2.
But I'm not interested in that outcome, I'm interested in what is (in my mind anyway) the far more likely outcome, sheerly due to money and Ferrari internal politics (which again, whole other essay!) which is that nothing really changes for the better at Ferrari. Maybe Charles gets a win by sheer luck and a slightly better car, but overall the strategy continues to not favour him, and Charles in general loses faith in what he refers to as the project. And we know from Charles himself that when this happens, this is when he goes away.
So I've presented an argument for why Red Bull are going to let Checo see out his contract, I've presented a strong possibility for why Charles might be looking to leave Ferrari at the end of 2024. Now I'm going to try and convince you of why out of all the options it'll be Charles joining Red Bull.
First of all, from Charles's point of view regarding teams. I'm going to rule out Alpha Tauri, Haas, Williams, Alfa Romeo, and Alpine, either because they're junior teams or I don't see them willing to fork over huge amounts of money to get Charles onboard. This leaves Mercedes, McLaren, Aston Martin, and Red Bull.
Out of all the non RBR options, I'd say that Mercedes is the most likely, but both their drivers are signed until 2025. There is always a possibility that Lewis Hamilton decides its time to leave the sport and buys himself out of his own contract, but I think that's not likely to happen next year.
Similar to Mercedes, both McLaren drivers are signed until at least 2025 and both look likely to honour that contract. Red Bull have tried to poach Lando multiple times, and Lando doesn't seem too keen on it yet, so we can assume that he intends to at least see his current contract out. Aston Martin is slightly trickier because I see them as being willing to fork over the millions needed to get Charles Leclerc to drive for them, but on the other hand they don't look close to producing a championship car, and Charles Leclerc is not switching away from Ferrari to not win a championship.
So, this leaves RBR as Charles's best destination for 2025 were he to leave Ferrari. Not only do they have a seat opening up, but they also have shown themselves capable of constructing recent championship-winning cars, and outclass every other team almost every weekend on strategy at the moment. Now that we've established that Charles's team of choice would be RBR, the final point of the argument has to be establishing why Charles would be RBR's driver of choice over let's say, Lando or Daniel.
To me the answer is simple, as so eloquently illustrated by my great friend and scholar Nat (@tsarinablogs) in her The PR of Lestappen in 2023 Essay (also known as Lestappen Gate 2023), Charles is not just good at PR, he's brilliant, and Red Bull isn't a racing company, it's a marketing venture. Having Charles on board would be their greatest asset and Charles has done much to make himself desirable, from being personable in almost all fan interactions to building a solid digital following, to being sometimes sneaky and subliminal with his sponsorship messaging (him always putting on APM Monaco immediately after a race, even before the podium and interviews, hell even Charles and Privateplanegate yesterday), to signing with a literal US entertainment agency. I cannot stress enough how the timing of the WME signing is not accidental, this is Charles making himself be seen as a highly desirable PR asset. Charles has the second highest following on social media out of any current driver, second to only 7 TIME WDC WINNER LEWIS HAMILTON. That sort of audience, and the kind of exposure it can bring to your team and your brand is insane.
Also, as an addendum to Nat's essay using something she herself brought up to me yesterday: any PR for RBR is good PR because it means that Red Bull as a concept is sticking around in people's heads, which means they're more likely to notice and buy the drinks off the shelves. Extrapolating from this we can see that Red Bull signing Charles would ultimately be better marketing than Red Bull signing Lando just because of the absolute uproar it would cause. Whether you think that Red Bull saved Charles from Ferrari, or Charles betrayed Ferrari for Red Bull, or Charles saved himself from Ferrari, or Red Bull as the Big Evil Team poached the Prince of Ferrari, there's a compelling narrative in there and people will talk about it for years to come.
Finally, not to talk about the driving aspect of motorsports, but Charles is the best fit for Red Bull driving-wise as well. Him and Max have spoken in the past about how they both prefer very similar types of car (ie. strong oversteer, borderline undriveable to anyone else) which would make car development much easier for the team. Christian Horner has also been pretty candid about wanting two n1 drivers à la Lewis and Nico (although without the toxicity), and whether you believe that Charles matches Max in equal machinery or not, Charles's racing record is a lot stronger than Lando's or Dan's (the two other possible competitors for the RBR seat). Charles fits the bill, driver-profile-wise, of the complement to Max that Christian Horner is looking for.
So, long story short, I am watching Ferrari VERY closely these next few months. If the SF-24 doesn't make Charles happy, I am going to make a bold claim that we will see Charles Leclerc driving for Red Bull in 2025.

F1: BEYOND THE GRID Charles Leclerc: chasing the ultimate dream with Ferrari
(a not so short summary in my own words, all typos are my own)
the whole show starts with bits of commentary from Monaco GP
he re-signed with Ferrari to win the WDC with Ferrari and wouldn't do it if he didn't believe in the project
having Lewis in the same car as the most successful driver in F1's history, will be amazing for him
he still didn't find time to climb mountains with his brothers or get a pilot licence like he wanted to, because the season is getting way too busy
he still cannot sleep on planes although he has taken piloting lessons and learned how everything works
he always had pets in the family and none of his own, so he got Leo (who was around 6 months old back in August when they posted this) but Leo is still a puppy and keeps peeing everywhere although Charles tries to teach him to go to a peeing pad
the Leo/Roscoe photoshoot was very random because they both walked their dogs in Silverstone and since their motorhomes were close to each other, they met
the triple header where they struggled was a sacrifice from him because they learned a lot of things for future development and will be bringing upgrades based on that but he cannot say when
he cannot basically remember the Monaco race, just the last 10 laps which were very emotional and about three laps till the end he let his emotions overtake him for the first time of his career
he knows to the outsiders you are only as good as your last performance but he is not letting it get to him and uses both the bad and the good results as a learning curve to be better
every race Sunday he wakes up 100% confident that he can win the race, which is important especially in this ground effect era of cars which demand drivers' full confidence to be fast
he always had a good relationship with Carlos and knows it is getting over-analysed by fans/journalists but he can admit he hated him sometimes inside the helmet too
he gets on with everyone and never had a bad relationship with a teammate before (not even before F1)
the best thing about Lewis coming to the team is the motivations he is brining with him
lately Lewis is the driver he speaks to the most in the paddock, but they do not have shared events outside of it yet so he is looking forward to that next year
Lewis also likes ice cream
Charles is very pleasantly surprised with how well LEC sales are going so far
the culture in Ferrari is changing with Fred but it is not easy since there are some core values that need to stay (like their passion)
people in Ferrari tend to be more affected by emotions but he doesn't think it is a bad thing, because it can be positive too
Fred is emotionally flat and motivates team a lot, so Charles is 100% confident in him and in getting his WDC with Ferrari
"what else are you good at?" - "not much" - "i don't believe you."
the Taylor Swift concert wasn't planned, but he always liked Taylor Swift songs and his Alex sees Taylor as an idol, so when she wanted to go to a concert, Charles said he is obviously coming with
if he got stuck in an elevator with a driver, he wouldn't want it to be Pierre or Carlos because they are "messy", so he would take Kimi Raikkonen, because he likes him and after talking for some time, they could also be quiet together
people say he looks like Timothee Chalamay [however you spell the twink's name], but he cannot see it
his most famous phone contact is "my mooom.... my brothers... [laughter] the prince of Monaco"
he would take Tom Clarkson as his first guest if he had a podcast, but otherwise he would take must, because he thinks his message is that nothing is impossible "but in reality i know nothing about him" (yeah, clearly)

I actually think Williams future is looking pretty good? I don't necessarily think James is lying about their upwards projection (this is coming from a Logan fan btw) and to a certain extent, I think he's even right.
Their fixing their biggest problems (the whole Microsoft word doc situation...), and they have a solid line up for next year. They have two strong drivers who are experienced and can give the feedback about the car that Williams will need. They also have a lot more sponsers on their car, and we can assume Santander isn't going to stay at Ferrari/ will go to Williams with Carlos (though this isn't exactly a done deal looking back at Fernando and Santander staying after he left). Carlos will bring in a lot of sales too with merch and advertising in general.
They also will most likely have the Mercedes engine for the 2026 season which is supposedly very good (major reason why people suspect Alex signed his renewal).
It really sucks, but being a junior academy driver doesn't seem to mean much when it comes down to things.
I think that it was the right decision, but that also doesn't mean that I'm not praying that Logan will find a seat somewhere though, even if it's not on the F1 grid!
Hmm while all this is absolutely true and they have a good driver pairing for 2025, Williams is not good at handling both drivers equally as we’ve seen, they always favoured Alex now we have Carlos up in the mix and he isn’t going to settle for second driver in Williams, and Alex isn’t going to take a back seat after all this time of being the priority.
And while they may have everything packed down in the technical aspects of the thing they have and are going to continue to lose fan support in they’re treatment of Logan, we still don’t know the extent of his mistreatment (even if the rumours have been dismissed, Logan isn’t going to talk shit about his employer)
While it may look like a good decision, personally I feel like this whole situation was grossly mishandled, where Logan was continuously given the poorer, heavier car, with no update and once even have to use parts from last year. They can’t expect a driver to perform when they don’t give him the tools to do so. Cause we’ve all seen how talented Logan actually is, out qualifying a redbull around 7or 8 times now.
And ngl I feel like this is a questionable decision from Carlos’ end as well, it’s going to be interesting to see him go from the contender team to a bottom tier one.

If you want to read it all good luck.
For all we talk about Mercedes is doing this, Toto should stop doing this, why are they doing that or not doing that, it is all speculation at the end of the day and we really do not have a say in how they operate. A lot of people underestimate the mental strengths athletes and especially F1 drivers have these days, especially with the additional media scrutiny. George yes will have bad days and good days that's just part of being human but after everything he's gone through in terms of contract negotiations and the scare of being dropped when he was with Williams he's got the mental strength and right mentality to bounce back from a lot. Not to mention that man knows how to network. Toto might be the most outspoken person about George and his performances and whatnot due do their closeness from George's younger years and whatever but there are connections being made behind the scenes that go beyond Toto that we don't see. There are people with very sharp eyes that will pick out the 'secret' meetings here and there but at the end of the day there's even more behind that we don't know. Toto's relationship with the board just by looking at who's attending what sponsorship events is also somewhat starting to deteriote. The relationships between George/Toto, George/Leiws, Lewis/Toto and George/Toto/Lewis has definitely changed, it is blantly obvious through their actions and statements, but at the end of the day there is a line of professionalism that hasn't been crossed yet no matter how many lines their media team has already crossed. However, there has been a shift in how George reflects on a session or a race weekend from the start of this season to now. We're a quarter of the way through the season, nearly half way through the year, the way the media team and Toto treats him and his performances week in week out is becoming more and more obvious for everyone (well everyone but the demons). The obvious thing now though is to wait and see what the board of management at Mercedes Benz is going to do. You can't trust INEOS to actually do something about this as they are literally there to pay someone's salary and get their dividends. Someone on the board that's part of INEOS also looks AI generated but that's a topic for another day. The board has to do something soon to get this team on track and I don't mean just having Markus or Britta turn up inconspicuously at a race weekend to control Toto's yapping. Someone needs to stop that man from saying everything on his mind sure but overall the car is currently the most important thing. We're a quarter of the way through the season, nearly half way through the year and no one on the board is going to say anything publicly? Sure privately there definitely has to be talks going on but without public acknolwedgement you're letting TW control the narrative within F1 media. Yeah sure the european elections are from what i've heard are rightly so important but I would also say as CEO of a massive automotive company you're also not supposed to be letting someone who is technically considered your subordinate just runaway with this nonsense yapping. You can not want to interfere with immediate team dynamics sure but at the end of the day Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team could and would/is been considered a subsidary of Mercedes as long as it carries the Mercedes name. The F1 team's performance is going to bleed into the reputation of Mercedes Benz whether you like it or not. Not to the extent of affecting car sales or anything major I'm not that delusional unlike some people but something will bleed over.
As for whether George will actually leave if given the chance? At the current moment in time I doubt it. No matter how many jokes we make here and there about oh Toto stop yapping about Max and Kimi you'll loose both your star drivers, at the end of the day again the board of management has majority of the say in driver line-up. The conversation of that bloody 10-year contract is about to expire might be true but honestly with the way George's network is going I don't think a contract with Toto is the thing we should be the most worried about. If Mercedes as a company don't want you there anymore you'll know it. It'll be blantly obvious. That whole Lewis situation I am sorry to say is half a product of his own fault. Who tf asks for a raise during a worldwide pandemic where the entire automotive industry is suffering from supply and sales issues not to mention the middle of freaking legal investigations/lawsuits still ongoing left by the previous CEO. With the amount of events and pr both online and offline that George is currently doing for Mercedes (the main company not the F1 team), the board still wants him. and they're not going to let him go very easily even if that contract with Toto runs out. Take a look at CH and HM's statements back in 2020/2021 about him only being on the Mercedes market. At the current moment yeah there's all that talk about oh George's contract is up again next year and CH is taking digs at Toto about taking George but realistically think about it. CH and TW have been going at it forever and ever taking digs at each other even when one of them is fighting the goddamn midfield. Unless the board at Mercedes gets involved in this little pissing contest these two are having I wouldn't be too sure about George leaving. And whilst Oliver Mintzlaff's comments for Toto are most definitely true I would say that man also has more to worry about. It might not be car performance but for rbr atm there worry is not car performance.
At the end of the day if the board still wants him, George is staying. Lando stayed with McLaren through all the shit they've been through and Charles and Ferrari. As much as this team is currently giving everyone a headache if you truly think George is leaving this project at the end of next year just because Toto can't stop yapping you haven't been paying that much attention. Rumours are just that. Rumours.

2001 All Japan GT Championship Series Skyline GT-R Power, Sprinting
The Japan GT Championship (JGTC) is Japan's most popular race, contested across the country in machines that have been modified based on two-door GT sports cars produced and sold by automakers. Modifications are permitted over a wide range of areas other than the basic monocoque frame, including the engine and suspension layout. Indeed, JGTC cars can be said to be racing machines based on commercially available cars and armed with cutting-edge technology.
He began competing in the JGTC with the Nissan GT-R as his main machine in 1994, when the series began. Since then, for seven seasons, the GT-R has continued to compete against powerhouses like the McLaren F1-GTR, Supra, and NSX, and has produced four series champions, the most for any Japanese manufacturer.
Rivals include machines with mid-mounted engines, and machines with rear-mounted engines to improve weight balance.
Although the sales model is equipped with an in-line 6-cylinder engine, some have been replaced with a lightweight and compact in-line 4-cylinder engine to create a GT vehicle. However, Nissan has dared to stick to the basic layout of the production GT-R, which is equipped with a twin-turbo inline 6-cylinder engine. This is proof that the development team has sufficient confidence in the high potential of the commercially available GT-R.
Nissan introduced the R34 GT-R in this fiercely competitive field in 1999, and it has been very successful. The GT-R's strengths lie in its drivability and reliability. Depending on the course layout and conditions, the GT-R always demonstrated stable fighting power, making it a ``strong machine'' that was sure to take the top spot in the final race. This season's GT-R is still strong. What's more, his off-season development has paid off, and in addition to his previous strength, he has also begun to demonstrate speed that exceeds his rivals. Although he has won only once, the victory he recorded in the 4th race was a complete 1-2 finish. It was a victory.
As of the end of the fifth round of the series, the GT-R's Krumm and Tanaka are firmly in second place in the battle for series points. The GT-R will rush forward as one, aiming for its fifth series championship.
Furthermore, Nissan's strength in the JGTC is not limited to the GT500 class, where the GT-R competes. Nissan enters the S15 Silvia in the GT300 class, and with two wins out of five races this season, Oyagi and Aoki's Silvia is at the top of the series points. In Round 4, the Silvia also achieved a 1-2 finish in the GT300 class, and together with the GT-R, achieved a remarkable feat of 1-2 finishes in two classes. At present, it has completely dominated the series, and is truly demonstrating the power of Nissan's technological capabilities. There are two races left in the series. Nissan's advance is accelerating.

Charles/Lando/Max where Lando retires suddenly and disappears from the paddock?
Oooo I love this idea
Lando leaving F1 would literally shock all of them, but especially Max and Charles who had been flirting with him. Maybe they were gently trying to date him, inviting him on dates, into their bed, and they thought everything was going great. They had planned to make everything clear with Lando and tell him that they had feelings for him, and then suddenly he isn't in the paddock come the next race day.
At first the rumors going around are just that Lando is sick. It's only media, that's not unusual, until McLaren hold a surprise media announcement saying that Lando won't be driving that weekend, or for McLaren again and that he has decided to step away from Formula 1. Everyone is in shock. Max and Charles try to talk to Oscar but he doesn't know what happened, he only found out that morning. Carlos hasn't heard from him, and neither has Daniel. George and Alex won't say anything. No one knows where Lando is or why he did this. He was doing well that season. Projected to possibly come second or third in the championship and is now just gone.
Charles and Max try to go by his home in Monaco only to find it's up for sale and Lando is long gone. It's then that they realize that Lando had planned this for a while. It wasn't a sudden thing. He just disappeared and no one will tell them where he is because they either don't know or claim not to know. Max F full on just tells them to stop asking, and that if Lando wanted them to know anything, then they would know.
Still, Charles and Max are devastated and just ask Max F to give Lando a message for them, that they are here for Lando no matter what and will respect his privacy but just want to know that he is okay.
For a while they don't hear anything, and they just continue life missing Lando. They ignore questions about him, just saying that they hope Lando is doing well and that the choice to retire was one Lando couldn't have made lightly, and that they know at the end of the day, Lando made the choice that was best for him and wish him the best. They don't comment on rumors.
And then one day, they get a number from Max F, and he tells them that Lando wants to speak to them. They are a bit skeptical at first, but when they call, it's Lando's voice on the other end. He sounds tired and little off, but they don't ask. They don't ask why he left, they just ask if he's okay and they go from there. Lando won't facetime them or visit or tell them where he is, but he calls and messages them most days. They know he's talking to George and Alex again too, and they live with this new found connection after months of worrying.....until they get a call from Max F
Max F is upset and rambling, and just gives them an address that they need to get to asap because "I know he'd want you here", and they have no idea what to expect but it certainly isn't a very skinny and pale Lando in a home hidden away in Switzerland, connected to a bunch of wires and an oxygen mask because he's so sick and has been for over a year but didn't want his illness to become a media circus like every other part of his life was, especially because he knew chances of recovery were small and he didn't want to spend his last possible months with cameras shoved in his face or his every movement analysed
#and then he dies#joking#kinda#maybe#charles/max/lando#other option was mpreg or abo pregnancy but thats a little too like my little bean au#or blackmail#another possibility for this was escaping abuse from Zak by agreeing to leave the team and not talk about it

On Valentine’s Day, two teams had car launches — Mercedes and McLaren. The line of underwhelming car launches continue.
The blend of silver and carbon for the Merc is nice, I personally like the design. This also marks the last Mercedes car launch for Lewis Hamilton, who will be going to Ferrari for 2025.
For the McLaren, we’ve known of the livery for about a month now. The papaya theme continues.
Both launches were followed by a shakedown after Silverstone. So Lewis and George got to drive the W15 on one configuration of the track, while Lando and Oscar got to drive the MCL38 on another configuration. Which made it so that they wouldn’t be able to see one another.
On this day in 2013, Teo Martín — the owner of one of the main parts recycling companies for the automotive industry — bought the remaining Hispania Racing Team (HRT) parts.
Like so many other teams during the early 2010s, HRT faced numerous financial struggles. In November 2012, the owners of HRT announced that the team would be put up for sale and they needed a buyer by the end of the month if the team wanted to compete in the 2013 season. However, no buyer was found and the team went into liquidation.
On February 14th, it was announced that what remained of the team would be purchased by Teo Martín.
Teo Martín bought from HRT:
2 single seaters from 2012
A truck
An exhibition model car
Furniture
Tools and machinery
Box panels
The headquarters
The engines and gearboxes were not sold as they were not made by HRT.

The similarities between Taylor Swift and Max Verstappen
As promised, a post on the similarities I see between F1 champion Max Verstappen and the biggest artist of the moment Taylor Swift.
Let's get the obvious things out of the way first. Both are blond, fit and tall with blue eyes and have a huge love for cats.
Onto the more detailed things. Especially the trajectory of their careers.
Both Max and Taylor were born into successful families, who did everything possible for their children's careers. While Mad did have quite the abusive upbringing at times - Max's father Jos (an ex-F1 driver himself) doesn't hide the fact he's gotten handsy with his kid at a young age when Max did - in his eyes - something wrong at the racetrack. Max's mom is genuinely the kindest and she had to let her son go for a long time to see him succeed. Taylor, however, had a lovely home. Both have known immediate success. Taylor's debut album immediately put her in the scene, with Fearless - her second album - winning AOTY at the Grammy's. Max jumped straight from F3 into F1 and is still the youngest person ever to drive an F1 car, aged 17. He had an impressive debut season and was promoted to the lead team Red Bull early on in his second season. He won his first race for the team at age 18.
Throughout their careers, Max and Taylor have known success. Taylor quickly began selling out football stadiums while "Max Mania" caused for the best ticket sales F1 had seen up until that point in time. It wasn't without heartache, though. Taylor visibly struggled with the media during her early 20s as she rose to stardom. Max got shat on from the get-go. He barely got any love from both the media and the people in the paddock/older drivers. He didn't let it ge to his head, but it's obvious he struggled with it at the young age of 19.
Onto their current eras of dominance. Max won the 2021 world driver's title in an incredible way. The hate that followed was out of this earth as controversy clouded both the final race and most of the year. Fans of other drivers call Max names, send death threats and still blame him for what happened in 2021. While Taylor has loads of fans, fans of other artists often find ways to bring her down. Accussations of all kinds flood her socials daily.
Neither of them minds it, though. Max is steadily on his way to his fourth driver's world championship, winning his third in 2023 in the most dominant way ever. He's broken records no one thought could be broken. Such as Taylor's doing right now, not only in streaming, but with the eras tour as well. Both are in their prime and don't show any signs of slowing down.
Onto their personal lives. Both Taylor and Max get shamed quite a lot for who they date/dated. People invade their lives, such as tracking their private jets. Both used to be a lot on social media, but the continious harrassment caused them to take a step back from it. Both have quite the insane fanbases as well. There are swifties and people in the orange army who often take it too far, both to other artists/drivers/fans, but also to their heroes.
To end this small rant I needed to get off my chest at work, Max and Taylor are both beautiful human beings inside and out. They get shat on for doing what they do best: racing and making music. Both are often misunderstood and villainized. Both push through the hardships and presevere in an even stronger way. And both are far from done. The sky's the limit for both, and as a fan, I can't wait to see them break through that limit.
#This isn't beta read so sorry for the typos#Just my opinions as well#but the similarties were so obvious to me#and all max fans I know are Taylor fans#so there's that#anyhow don't take this too serious#taylor swift#max verstappen

Do you think a trans driver should be allowed to race in F1 Academy?
This feels like a trick question or like, I don't know, some sort of weirdness but I'm going to take it as face value because this is an important issue.
Should a trans driver be allowed to race in F1 Academy? Absolutely yes, zero question, 100%.
The first reason trans women should be allowed to compete in F1 Academy is that trans women are women, the people the category is for. Any women eligible in the age and experience criteria (it's meant to be for younger drivers without significant single seater careers) should be allowed.
F1 Academy, as far as we know about its purpose, exists to provide stepping stone opportunities for women, at the F4 level because that is where most women drivers start losing out, losing funding or being unable to complete seasons, not having enough testing time, etc compared to the ones among their male peers who are likely to succeed.
The opportunities for women drivers are very slim because there is a lack of belief they are worth backing. Remember that court case with Nyck de Vries just before this season started? An old sponsor was suing him because they'd backed his Formula 2 career on the agreement that he'd pay them a percentage of his F1 earnings if he made it there. It's how a lot of junior series sponsorship contracts work, that the driver will repay the sponsor when they hit the big time - remember when Sergio Perez managed to force the Force India sale because of non-payments to his sponsor? That'll have been something like that. (obviously traditionally sponsors would pay the team, except in these weird cases where their name may or may not actually appear on the car by the end)
If you're a woman there's no confidence that you'll get to F1. It's been 30 years since a woman was entered properly into a grand prix weekend. It's been nine years since Susie Wolff did FP1 in Silverstone. It's more than five years before we'll see a woman there, according to Stefano Domenicali. (thanks Stefano, super helpful)
If no one believes you'll get to F1, no one will fund you on those contract terms. Which makes it very hard to raise the astronomical amounts needed to compete in junior series. If no one believes you can win races then it's hard to convince them to give you a seat, even if you do somehow find three million Euro down the back of the sofa.
Now, the fact trans women are women aside, if no one believes cis women are going to make it to F1 and they have funding problems why would a more marginalised group not need at least the same opportunities to have anything approaching a chance? Motorsport is so conservative it can barely contemplate anyone wearing a bra talking out loud, the sad truth is that although there are queer people around (I mean, hello, it's me) it's a lonely and mostly closeted place for it.
So yes, of course trans women - who are, in any case, women, the people the category was designed for - should be in F1 Academy.
Where does that leave nonbinary people? Well, I think - and I like to think Susie would think this too, from conversations with her - the main group missing, gender-wise, from motorsport is not men. So I would hope that nonbinary people would also be welcomed.

★ bargain bin; —send me a driver + prompt/dialogue starter and i'll write a tiny musing for you
loosen up charles leclerc x you —18+ (sex, mature themes, coarse language) —requested by @tlhd7 (absolute gem) and lovely anon 💖
you knew you were done the second you saw ferrari’s usgp liverly on instagram. the little slither of black peeking out of the collar of charles’ suit already conjuring up wild, wild thoughts. none of them holy. charles looked good in black, that was a well known fact — whether he was wearing a tuxedo or even lounging around in a simple black shirt he looked hot. and although he exuded sunshine energy most of the time, there was a darkness that you enjoyed about him. vexed and flustered charles turned you on.
once you had confirmation from your boyfriend that they were indeed wearing black fireproofs this weekend, the decision was final. you were flying out to texas because nothing was going to stop you from indulging in your greatest fantasy — jet lag who? and nobody was going to stop you from slinking into charles’ drivers room while he prepped for practice. absolutely nobody.
“knock knock…” you playfully greeted, causing charles to glance over from where he was perched on his physio bed.
“well hello, mon ange… who let you in?” he teased back with a smirk and placed his phone on the table beside him.
“andrea did because i’m actually here to do your warm up massage… fred thought it was really important to get a professional in to make you feel good.”
charles' soft smile dropped into a devilish smirk, eyes narrowing with desire as soon as his mind registered what you were saying. he liked to roleplay a little, especially on the road when everything felt so serious and tiresome — he loved a sprinkle of spiciness added to the mix and who better to bring it than the woman of his dreams.
“oh well don’t let me stop you, ma’am,” he rushed before laying back down on his front, smiling from ear to ear and giggling into the face hole.
“thank you, sir — i’ll get started on your back first… making sure all those hard knots are worked out before your race,” you stated, brushing your hands down the expanse of his clothed back. the black mesh felt smooth against your palms as you moved them up and down in long strokes, "how's that pressure?”
“incredible but you can be harder if you like,” charles mumbled, his eyes closed while he enjoyed the feeling of your touch.
“oh, it’s gonna be hard, mr. leclerc — please be patient.”
you couldn’t help but stifle a laugh into your shoulder — every time you played a character, you struggled to keep it together but eventually the insecurity of it all slowly dissipated as you focused back in.
you thumbed the hem of his fireproof top and dragged it gently up his back, exposing the tanned skin that beautifully complimented the black fabric, all taut and soft and sprinkled with freckles. each muscle danced under your fingertips as you carefully traced the marks you’d left the night before — the remnants of your reunion making every nerve in your body tingle from the memory. the frenzied fingernail tracks were red, but fading and you could tell charles liked the feeling of your cool palms grazing them by the soft, nearly inaudible moan that slipped from his pursed lips.
“feel good?” you asked, smirking to yourself.
“amazing.” he practically groaned in response.
“i’ll get you to turn over now so we can shift focus to your front.”
it didn't take long for charles to scurry up and flip over onto his back. he looked like a kid entering a candy store, all wired and wide eyed from what was on offer, and the promise of a sweet treat at the end. you rubbed your hands together and pushed his shirt up a little further before working your hands across his tight abdomen and over his chest, spending a little extra time on the perked nipples that always got his engine revving. to balance out the moans of pleasure, you ghosted your fingertips down his ribs, causing a high pitched giggle to erupt from the man below, immediately cutting the tension bubbling up.
“very ticklish there, ma’am — go lower please…”
“oh, do you feel tight down here?” you asked innocently while unzipping his suit a little further down his hips.
“very tight - bit lower than that… lower… lower,” charles’ voice grew quieter the closer you got to where he ached until your hand gently grasped his hard cock, “ah, yes - right there,” he sighed.
you stroked him through the black fireproof trousers, the fabric bunching as your hand worked him over, “ah, i see… very stiff in this area — try to relax for me, charles.”
the sound of his name falling sultrily from your mouth as you worked him in your hand had him moaning into his arm that had instinctively come up to cover his mouth. the walls of his drivers room were thin, so thin that you’d been told more than once to keep it down. it never stopped you — in fact, maybe it even encouraged the exhibitionist streak you two had.
through the soft moans, charles eventually grasped consciousness and came up for air - he loved watching you get him off, almost as much as he enjoyed returning the favour. everything about you set him alight — your eyes, your voice and the way you studied every little twitch on his face while you made him feel good.
slowing slightly, you pensively looked down at your hand and tutted, “i think i may need to use some kind of lubrication to really get these stiff knots out…”
charles eagerly nodded, “do whatever you need to do.”
“as long as you’re sure…” you stated cautiously, peeling down his fireproofs and underwear in one foul swoop, “is it okay if i use my mouth? i think it could really help.”
a gutteral moan vibrated in charles’ throat as his head lulled back in disbelief, “fuck… i mean, yes- yes, yes, yes, yes.”
it never took long to have him exactly where you wanted him — you always started with a tiny kitten lick to his tip, your tongue would travel down to the base and back up before taking him fully in your warm mouth. before too long, he was sitting upright and pulsating down the back of your throat with his fingers loosely grasping the back of your head for dear life, needing something, anything to hold onto while you had him seeing stars. his other hand was pressed so hard to his mouth that when you stood up and wiped your lips, you could see a red hand print left in its wake.
“are you feeling looser now, mr. leclerc?” you teased and massaged his shoulders once more with a smirk lining your swollen lips.
“oh my god stop or you’ll make me hard again,” charles groaned and pulled you into a passionate kiss, “you will be the death of me eventually, sweet girl.”
a/n— please don't ask me to define "tiny" because this is over 1k words lol i got carried away because i haven't written for charles in a loooong time and these two requests were way too good not to combine! i have no chill. shop the sale event here !!

W Series: All-female championship enters administration after failing to secure funding
After announcing the W Series would end early in 2022, organisers said they remained positive that funding could be found to secure the championship's future The all-female W Series has entered administration after the single-seater championship failed to secure funding. Alice Powell, who raced in the series from its start in 2019, said it had "inspired" many young female fans and "created" opportunities for drivers. "W Series DID NOT fail," said the 30-year-old Briton.external-link "At the end of the day, W Series got me out racing again, whether you agreed with the championship or not. "I have many great memories from racing in the championship, including my win at the British GP in 2021, which will stay with me forever." Britain's Jamie Chadwick dominated W Series and was crowned champion three times. The 25-year-old is now racing in the United States-based Indy NXT and is also part of Williams' academy. Administrators Evelyn Partners LLP said that most staff had already left the business or been made redundant. Kevin Ley, one of the joint administrators, said: "The news will be upsetting for the company's employees and drivers together with the worldwide supporters of the championship. "The company had been unable to commit to the 2023 race season due to its liquidity position. "The directors had been in discussions with various parties to provide additional funding together with a potential sale of the business. Unfortunately, these discussions did not progress." Ley's joint administrator, Harry Shinners, added: "The joint administrators will explore all available options to allow the W Series to restart in the future. We are seeking expressions of interest in the business and assets of the company." In November, Formula 1 - which has not had a female driver compete in a race since 1976 - launched the F1 Academy, an all-female series aimed at helping women drivers progress through motorsport. The inaugural season features seven rounds with the final race supporting the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, in October. via BBC Sport - Formula 1 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/

It's designed weirdly (grid is on a curve, pit exit on a curve), the temperatures are going to be low and therefore tyre stuff will be a nightmare, and due to the long straights and low speed corners Pirelli are concerned the tyres won't handle well. Plus it's caused endless disruption for locals who are pretty unhappy about it and the pricing was wild (which has evidently caused low sales because they're now dropping like a stone). I'm all for some street track chaos but this Vegas GP isn't it!
all this is true but about the track design, I don't think it's right to be judging it when there jaunt been any racing on it yet. everybody has been comparing all season about how boring this season has been but then once a track is slightly different everybody starts complaining about that. I think the fact that it's designed differently could make it more interesting. also people seem to be forgetting that the people who designed and organised this event are professionals. it's their literal job to design and create f1 tracks.
as I've said before tho, I am completely against the pricing and how money hungry not only the vegas track is but also all thr American tracks are.
I do ofc feel bad for the residents and business but at the end of the day Vegas is a show town. its a tourist destination and thrives on events and the gp is just one of the many insane events held every year in Vegas.
but who knows, i could be completely wrong and the track could turn out to be as terrible as everyone is saying but I'm willing to keep an open mind seeing as the race hasn't even happened yet and I'm not a professional

I have so many issues. So many here. Please read to the end as I promise you this is not an attack on any one country.
Firstly the first two are now Saturday night races to accommodate Ramadan. Arab nations bought into F1 fully knowing it was Sunday races. Knew what was expected of them.
However when the FIA and FOM moved hell and high water to accommodate a Vegas race no fans seem to want, that precedent was done with. Whilst they conveniently forgot that they would NEVER race in Italy over Easter weekend.
Swapping Azerbaijan and Japan is an interesting move. Do they hope it will be less wet in Japan and less windy in Baku?
China, Azerbaijan to Italy made a little bit of sense. Japan to Miami to Azerbaijan makes no sense though. “We can’t have a race there during NFL season”. Well maybe it’s time we accepted Miami is not a viable location for a Grand Prix then? Why not Japan, Malaysia, Azerbaijan. Better track, fans want to go back there, logical commute. China, Turkey, Imola. Also an option.
Canada in the middle of the European season. There were no words, none. In no way do I think we should drop Canada, but not considering the climate restrictions they have for a race, whilst pandering to the three US races who don’t want to be too close together because it will effect ticket sales. Madness.
Drop a US race and insert the European Grand Prix to open the European calander. This will alternate between Portimao, Paul Riccard and a German track of their choosing. Let’s thank them for getting us out the shit and racing during Covid.
We need to go to Africa. We don’t care where. Take us back to South Africa, build a new circuit in Morocco, we don’t care, just take us back to that continent. Take some of the money you are pocketing from the oil rich East and the US circuits and invest in getting a track in Africa. It can follow the Spanish race or be the last race before summer break.
Again don’t want to lose Singapore but it is now sitting in the calendar like billy no mates, can’t it go to the other side of the Americas block? Singapore back to the Middle East? Is that not easier than Europe, Aisa, Americas, Middle East? Also the more night races they add the unique selling point of Singapore dilutes more and more, which is not fair to them. They were the original night race.
In fairness they probably are the best selection of European tracks there is. Yes we could run a 24 race European season with all the tracks available. I hope that in years to come they will curate other regions the same way. Austin, Mexico, Brazil is pretty much a perfect set already.
Why are we still indulging the Qatar madness? I see no need for it other than to give Abu Dhabi a friend. Ditch it. Las Vegas to Abu Dhabi will give you the glamorous finale Liberty want.
I know they are trying but they need to ditch the races that can’t deliver. I do think China’s days are numbered for various reasons. Zandvoort’s popularity post Max will be an interesting watch as well. I can’t see Miami is sustainable long term. My hope is that the spaces will be given to permanent tracks that open up the market, maybe invest in getting the India track back.
There is a way this calendar can flow it’s just requires, ahem, not making as much money 😳

Interlagos 2022, part 1: Getting to São Paulo... or how I *almost* met Fernando
I know I’m terribly late into writing this and everybody probably wants to leave 2022 behind, whether it’s about that depressing F1 season or life in general. However, after 16 years watching F1, I finally attended a race for the first time and of course it had to be the beloved Interlagos of my dreams!
Most importantly: I fulfilled my dream of seeing Fernando racing! I really never thought this would happen, given that he had previously retired from F1 before I could attend a Grand Prix and I was sure I would end up missing every chance to see Fernando before he retires again.
A lot happened leading up to Sunday, but I’m trying to keep my train of thought as coherent as possible... for now, let’s dive a little bit into what went on until I got to São Paulo, and I what actually mean with “almost meeting Fernando”!
As I’ve already said, I was never able to go see him race in São Paulo, and that’s because of me being a poor child living in the other side of a continental-size country. When Fernando left the sport, I had just turned 17 - still a minor with no money, and Interlagos 2018 was coincidentally held the same day as the national college entrance exam I took that year.
I passed the exam, and as a university student I was able to save some internship money, so I started planning to attend Interlagos since July 2020 - when Fernando announced his return to F1. Eventually, my plans for 2021 crumbled and I was very upset over not being there for Fernando’s first Brazilian GP since coming back to F1. However, I didn’t lose hope for 2022, all thanks to the two besties I met here on tumblr and who attended the race weekend with me: @dwaxi and @lewisleclerx.
Ticketing for Interlagos was and is always a bloodbath, a nightmare. They used to start selling it every April of the same year, but for the 2022 GP that changed to early December 2021. I was not confident in buying a ticket with an entire year in advance, but I’m glad I took the risk. They advertised the selling as a “pre-sale”, exclusive for those who subscribed for their newsletter and would later receive a code to enter the tickets website.
It turns out that the tickets went sold out during the pre-sale, which was reported on the news as a “mistake” as they somehow put ALL tickets on sale instead of a limited number. Obviously, this made a lot of people angry, as some had/chose to wait to buy later, as there were supposed to be additional sales being held throughout the year. A significant amount of people also had their orders cancelled by Eventim even after successfully paying and everything. That’s why I was very lucky to grab my tickets as early as possible!
From 2022, I was full on delusional mode when the season started. Ferrari winning races?! Charles leading the championship?? I thought this was going to be our year, everything seemed too good to be true. I was already dreaming of the WDC battle ending at Interlagos with Charles winning the title, but we all know what happened. Obviously, I was still extremely excited that I would get to see Fernando and all, but this season was so depressing to me that it threw me off a little, to the point I was expecting (or mentally preparing myself in advance) that Fernando would have a DNF there. Thankfully, Interlagos is always a star on its own - it’s the best race of the year, so I was holding onto that hope that I would not get disappointed because Interlagos always delivers. And boy, it did deliver.
Fast-fowarding to November, it was finally time to travel and of course I was freaking out with so much to do, yet still wanting to save my energy for the trip. I had plans for many handmade banners for Fernando, Pato, Drugo... but I had no time to work on that before leaving, as I packed my stuff as late as possible (spoiler: I did end up making the banners, but I’ll talk about that in another post). I printed a huge amount of pics and threw many paper sheets and other stationery into my suitcase and hoped for the best.
I did not want to give up on the ideas I had for a kpop style handmade tiara, but I also knew I would have no time for that in São Paulo. My mom helped and we made these tiaras in a hurry, I am not exaggerating - we finished these just an hour before I had to leave home for the bus station. Because yes, I had to go on a 4-hour bus trip before taking my 3-hour flight in another state.
I knew Fernando was going to host an event at his own circuit in Spain on Tuesday, so he would only have Wednesday or early Thursday to arrive in Brazil. I was definitely not counting on meeting him or the other drivers at the airport, but I was willing to shoot my shot in case there was a coincidence and I happened to arrive at the same time as any of them, in which case I would need to take the shuttle bus to the international terminal.
In 2021, I heard that Fernando did not stop to talk to anyone, so I presumed he would do the same this year, which made me NOT stress over the small possibility of meeting him at the airport. I thought that was nearly impossible to happen, and even if it would happen he would simply not give a fuck, so I was completely fine and cool about it and had already accepted my fate with zero expectations. Except that he did arrive the same day as me, did talk to everyone there and even signed stuff for them.
Basically, I arrived at the airport at 1:30PM and Fernando arrived a few hours before, at 8AM or something. I’m so glad he was in a good mood and all, but I would be lying if I said I’m not dying of jealousy of everyone who was there. I guess it was really not meant to be. It’s just one of those things I’ll never get over, you know? It’s so unfortunate. If only I had took a different flight and arrived earlier...
So, yeah. You can imagine how I was going through all stages of grief at once, but I had to let that go and board the plane quickly, as I was already in the boarding gate when I found out about Fernando’s arrival. My flight seemed so calm until we got to the last half an hour and I swear those 30 minutes of turbulences scared the shit out of me. To the point that after arrival I spent the next hour still shaking a bit. Gotta love São Paulo and its bizarre weather.
As soon as I arrived at the airport in São Paulo, I was welcomed by this ad from Aston Martin & Drugo’s sponsors, XP, which reads “investing for Brazil to get back on the grid”. Let me tell you, that was such a good marketing that I got chills. It was the reality check I didn’t know I needed - I was there and it was going to happen, FINALLY. It really hit me that I was going to attend a race weekend for the first time. I also immediately thought, “Drugo has a plan!” and I need him in F1 so bad, so my delusional ass was more than happy to see that ad. Also, what a coincidence that that’s Fernando’s new team. IIRC AM now has 2 Brazilian sponsors, hopefully they’ll do some brand promotions with Fernando too.
Before I finish this post, I have a tip for anyone travelling to São Paulo, whether you’re from Brazil or not. If you arrive at GRU and want to save some money on transportation, take the Airport Express (Expresso Aeroporto). Look for the shuttle bus sign (see pic below) when you’re outside and ask the bus driver if they’re going to the train station or to another terminal (since there are 2 types of shuttle buses). Take the bus going to the train station (or CPTM) and you’ll arrive there in ~15 minutes, for free.
You can buy the train tickets at the station or by using this ticket machine (FYI, the machine accepts only debit cards). This special train departs every full hour (2:00PM, 3:00PM and so on), the itinerary and the hours open are very limited, so make sure to know beforehand where and when you’ll be going. You most probably will still need to ask for an Uber ride later, but it might be a lot cheaper as you’ll get closer to your destination (the GRU airport is far from downtown, I mean, it’s not even in São Paulo, it’s located in Guarulhos!)
Anyway, I definitely wrote too much but if you actually read all of it, I hope this “part 1″ was not a waste of time <3 I am also hoping that I’ll still be in the mood for writing, I do want to write about it all and not give up in the middle of it. The race weekend was really amazing and I don’t think I’ll ever shut up about it - it’s something I want to remember and cherish for a long time.
If you’re curious about something specific, feel free to let me know - I always get lost in my thoughts and end up writing or talking too much about irrelevant things, and I feel like this post was full of it, so it’d be great to know what you guys want to hear about.
