listen i know that canonically tsukasa is the second tallest in wxs. but since i find it funny that he’s the shortest of all the guys, i think it would also be funny if he was the second shortest in the unit and only surpassed emu in height. i just think that nene would get such a kick out of being taller than him and she would definetely make all the short jokes at his expense lol

Ok episode 11 would’ve been better to end on (and I’m talking as someone whose read the manga)

Like it’s a good cliffhanger to keep people interested (what the fuck is going on with the anatomy models) (Jijis mystery) but still light hearted enough that the viewer feels satisfied (not a ton but pretty satisfied)

Then episode 12 should have been the start of the next broadcast because it reestablishes the characters really well, starts off lighthearted and then goes straight into story, and not to mention this starts a whole ass arc

Like this would’ve been a good weekly cliffhanger the amount of suspense and questions would absolutely keep someone hooked for the week (with enough time for theories before manga readers can spoil it) while waiting till the summer broadcast is a bit too long and it feels like people are gonna stop caring at this point in the story

It’ll be harder for the next episode to reestablish characters and do what a beginning of the (season(?)) episode should do

Plus it would’ve let them stretch out the first part of the season a bit longer which would fix some pacing issues with this episode and the last

I find that I only ever tolerate the Great Shibuya Polycule concept if it's portrayed as a remix of their canonical interactions but with certain benefits. For example:

Emu kisses Saki on the cheek as she's heading to practice and minutes later tackles her brother into a hug. The Tenmas are not dating and will never be and the same goes for the other siblings. That doesn't mean Emu can't love them both and equally.

Rui sends Ena a photo. Ena asks how the hell did he get her Nightcord and then puts a heart under a photo of all the second years cosily sleeping in the same bed. After meeting for the first time, Rui doesn't hesitate before kissing her hand like he does with all the other ladies he swoons.

Mizuki always makes sure to send a goodnight kiss to her homies. After a record of 316 consecutive days of goodnight kisses, Akito and Tsukasa sneak into Mizuki's house to see what could've gotten them to forget. Upon finding a disgruntled and miserable Mizuki, they decide to hold them through the night. They kiss each other goodnight irl this time.

Kanade has a minimum of 10 wives. Her 10 wives are in a similar situation.

WXS OCHAME KINOU FINALLY RELEASED OFFICIALLY and i wanna ramble about the line distribution because it killed my grandma and it's becoming one of my favorite wxs covers all time. (at first i just wanted to talk about the emu solo line... but oh well...)

obviously rui got this line, it couldn't be any other way!! after all, this precisely *is* what rui's role mainly is. he's the stage director, the one who's supposed to make everything work well — and it only intensifies after backlight lens flare, where it was recognized even further from what i've seen. because i didn't watch the entirety of it yet. i'm waiting for my summer break to catch up on events

and this is what i wanted to talk about from the very beginning — because this is so cuteeee..... "is your birthday ahead" and they're releasing it just ten days before tsukasa's birthday? Hey. emu being the one who sing this line just adds to the adorableness because i'm not saying that nene and rui wouldn't do so, but combined with the way emu sings just makes me see the mental image of emu dragging tsukasa with her and just going "cmon cmon tsukasakun it's your birthday soon we need to have fun". which is honestly very accurate i think. she's the designated sun of the wxs, after all

but maybe i'm just biased because i love platonic emukasa as i already said countless of times 🫶🫶

THIS LINE ON THE OTHER HAND MAKES ME SO SAD and i don't call me a sadkaser because this is not meant to be, maybe i'm just reaching too much because i'm too kidkasa pilled from writing a thing for his birthday, but,,, yeah, it screams dazzling to me. because that's how tsukasa was as a kid, right? if you behave well and let them see you're the strong one, you'll be happy — but you still need to have faith that tomorrow will be a better day.

again, that only makes this cover releasing right before tsukasa's birthday even more foul lol.

and i don't have much to say about this line... i'm just glad to see that emu got to still have her dreamer motif here. makes me very happy.
