EMU OTORI IS THE YOUNGEST DAUGHTER OF THE OTORI FAMILY. SHE IS THE SECOND PRISONER TO GET TRANSFERRED TO MILGRAM SEKAI. SHE THINKS SHE IS IN SOME SORT OR DREAM OR IS LUCID DREAMING. SHE IS IN THE SAME TROUPE WITH TSUKASA AS WELL AS TWO OTHERS NAMES NENE AND RUI. (Her mind seems to be pure and innocent, reminder that she is in Milgram for a reason.)

hi guys I’m in a horrible bad mood and I cried for four hours with Tsukasa plush over a fanfic

And then I looked at him and thought “he’s the only one who can comfort me”

And then I got an idea! So here’s a small little thing I wrote:3

Polyshow thingy thing (also me projecting on tsukasa hi guys) (Tsukasa angst and also comfort)

And there he sat, a boy with blonde, strawberry hair. With tears flowing down, in a corner behind the dear place of happiness. Phoenix wonderland, the wonder stage, these places should make him happy. And they do. They do, they really do. So why, why was the star, Tenma Tsukasa, crying like a child? And even worse, crying when he was supposed to be practicing. Tenma Tsukasa, the world future star, born to make people smile, to shine so bright. He wasn’t doing any of that. All he could think was, ‘ stop crying, stop crying, stop crying, you have work to do, get up and practice, and stop crying. ‘ yet, he couldn’t. No matter how hard, he’d continue, and continue, and continue.“ Tsukasa-kun? “ He heard, with a male peaking behind the curtain. His purple haired director. Tsukasa attempted to get himself to stand up, but he couldn’t. There was nothing, nothing he could do. It was the end of the star, Tenma Tsukasa.

“…eh? Tsukasa-kun?! Are you okay?” Rui asked, with such worry that Tsukasa had never heard before. He didn’t give an answer. “..Emu-kun, Nene-chan, come here. It’s important.” Tsukasa hears Rui say, and he panics. No, he doesn’t want this! He tries to speak, but nothing comes out. His eyes meet Rui’s, and he silently pleads. But it’s too late. Emu and Nene walk backstage, and Rui goes after them. Tsukasa wasn’t very hidden, so the two girls spotted him almost immediately. This was horrible. His troupe, his best friends, and his partners, saw him crying like a child that didn’t want to go home. Humiliating. He looks at them, pupils dilated. his cheeks were stained with tears, and he watched the three as the stared at him. Rui stood straight up, looking in slight shock. Nene was neutral, but worried. And Emu.. Emu had the most unfamiliar expression of all. She wasn’t smiling at all. Instead, she ran over to Tsukasa, looking as if she was going to cry. She hastily sat down on the floor and jumped into hugging Tsukasa. Tsukasa was shocked, his dilated pupils darting from her to the other two. He felt as if he would start crying again, and he did just that. Rui and Nene approached slower, both sharing a silent conversation. They had dealt with this more often with each other. Rui and Nene knelt next to the boy. Rui put his hand on the blonde hair of his boyfriend, stroking his hair and putting their foreheads together. He let out a few “shhs” while Nene patted his back.

A few minutes, and his sobbing faltered. He looked at the three, whom were backing away and sitting on the floor next to him. Rui was the first to speak. “Tsukasa-kun, mind telling us what happened?” he asked, his hand on the blonde’s shoulder. Tsukasa sniffled a little, and took a breath. “…today hasn’t been a good day.” Is all he said. “How so?” Rui asked another question. He looked at Rui, who nodded, and then the other two. The other two nodded, Nene smiled calmly yet slightly upset at him, while Emu had a solemn, sad smile on her face. “It started with my parents. They had gotten mad at Saki, since she had accidentally dropped a plate.. dad was yelling at her, and I saw her crying on the couch. Mum hadn’t done anything, but she hadn’t interfered either, and that’s when I did. It was back and fourth arguing between me and my dad, but it ended when he said I was useless, that I’d never get anywhere in life.. and it hurt, more than it should’ve. Saki and I left really quickly.” He spoke. Rui, Nene, and Emu all had shocked expressions. “What else is there, Tsukasa-kun?” Rui questioned, doubting that was the only reason. Tsukasa sighed and continued.

“It’s pointless. Got a low grade on my test, a few classmates made fun of me for it. That’s it.” The three looked as if they either wanted to hurt someone or that they were shocked at everything. Rui tightened the grip on Tsukasa’s shoulder. “Tsukasa-kun. If you’re ever going through anything, tell us. Stop keeping things from us.” Rui spoke, with Nene and Emu nodding in agreement. “It’s going to be okay, Tsukasa.” Nene spoke, patting his back. Emu hugged Tsukasa once more. “Tsukasa-kun! We care about you a lot, so please talk to us!” Emu said in a pleading tone. Tsukasa nodded. “..okay. I’m sorry, everyone. My crying just served as a burden to you all. “No!” The three said in union. “You can cry if you want, Tsukasa. Sometimes, you just need to. It’s healthy.” Nene said, and for a second Tsukasa didn’t recognize her. He nodded, and smiled back, with cheeks stained with tear drops. He stood up, and took a breath. “Alright. I feel better. Thank you, everyone. I love you guys.” Tsukasa smiled a toothy grin. Rui chuckled, Emu giggled, and Nene smiled. “We love you too!” They said in union, once more. He kind of felt like this was planned.. “Now! We have a show to practice!” Tsukasa said, pointing his finger at the curtain. The three nodded, and the four walk to the curtain, at a sort of peace.

Random fic description I wrote ten minutes ago because My Cousin won't stop spamming "Ruikasa Angst"

Rui couldn't explain the feeling he felt any time he was around Tsukasa Tenma. His boisterous demeanor, his passion, his *energy,* it all lured him in. Like a fly in a trap, he was stuck. After a long chat with Nene, Rui clutched a letter in his hands as he walked forward.

Only to find Emu and Tsukasa French kissing in their dressing room.

"A tear fell down Rui's cheek and landed on the envelope with a 'plop!' sound, soaking the area around it. A broken smile spread across his face as he heard Emu's muffled moans of pleasure. The edges of the letter creased as Rui gripped it tighter, a broken smile on his face. 'If you're happy...' He muttered."

Ever since one of the members left the village, Tsukasa was left taking care of her sister, Emu and Nene. He's the one defending the girls from the abuse they receive from their old village. Til one day Tsukasa packed all of their things (with the help of Nene) and left the village in the middle of the night.

Finding a new village wasn't easy, the walk was long and the weather was either too hot or too rainy for them. Their only source of shelter is a little tent that can barely fit all 4 of them together.

It took weeks of walking to finally find a village. Emu and Saki were ecstatic to finally find a new home, the bright smiles on their faces almost making Nene and Tsukasa go blind.

But happy endings don't exist. Not on Tsukasa's book.

"Tsukasa, Big brother wake up!" Saki shook her brother awake, tears pouring on her face. Tsukasa was confused and concerned but his questions was quickly answered by a loud explosion. "Get up!" Nene yelled from afar and Tsukasa was quick to his feet, grabbing Saki's hand and leaving the house. Every house in the village are on fire, a fire that Tsukasa was too familiar with. A bright crimson fire. But no time for theorising, his goal is to get the girls to safety. The four of them began sprinting but unfortunately for Nene, she tripped on her own two feet and started coughing, due to the smoke and the running exhausting her lungs. Saki turned around immediately and helped Nene to get back on her feet, but before Tsukasa could help another explosion erupted, the smoke covering the two girls. Emu and Tsukasa's eyes widen.

"NENE!"

" SAKI!"

The two yelled in unison, and when the smoke cleared out two unconscious girls are in front of them. Emu yelled, tears streaming down her face. "Emu, let's go!" Tsukasa picked up Emu knowing she couldn't move on her own with what she just witnessed, Tsukasa couldn't move at that moment either but knowing the situation, he has to move.

Even if Tsukasa's legs wanted to give up he still kept on running while holding Emu in his arms; due to the smoke, the two of them couldn't see properly, if they could they could've avoided the debris that fell on top of them. But they didn't. Tsukasa groaned, quickly getting up and lifting up the debris on top of them. When he tried to pick up Emu she couldn't budge. "Emu..?" Tsukasa examined the debris and saw Emu's leg stuck under the debris. Tsukasa tried to help but noticed how quiet Emu is, with a shaken hand he reached out to Emu's pulse and nothing. Tsukasa frantically examined Emu body then finally saw the cause, the blood pooling on her head. Emu had hit her head on a sharp rock when the debris fell on them.

"DAMN IT!"

Tsukasa yelled at the top of his lungs, getting up from the ground and running away from the village, he couldn't believe he has to leave the girls, he couldn't believe that out of all of them he's the only one who survived the chaos.

When he's far enough from the village, he stumbled forward, his hands preventing him to kiss the floor. He's getting dizzy, he's exhausted, his vision is getting blurry. It's getting hard to breathe. Tsukasa looked up and saw a cloaked man in the distance even though the man is covered from head to toe, Tsukasa couldn't miss the purple and blue hair that’s sticking out. "Ru...i..?"

He muttered out before passing out.

Tsukasa opened his eyes and was blinded by the light from outside. The white ceiling stared back at him til he realize where he is. Tsukasa quickly sat up and looked around the room. "Where.. am I..?" And on queue the door opened and a bi-blue haired male entered the room. "You’re awake." said the male as he approaches Tsukasa. "Where am I?" He said softly yet still on guard. "You are in my palace, my people and I found you passed out near the burned down village."

Village... Tsukasa gripped the sheets. "Are they alive?! Please tell me they're alive!" Tsukasa gripped the prince's collar and violently shook him. The prince then grabbed both of Tsukasa's wrist and pulled it away from him while shaking his head. "You're the only survivor.."

That news broke Tsukasa.

"That's how I got here.." He said, looking down at the grave, a grave that's named after the girls he hold so close to his heart. "Knight Tsukasa" an individual called out to him. "Your highness is requesting your presence” Tsukasa nodded, getting up from the grassy land and said goodbye to the graves before following the individual.

They entered the Prince's room and there he saw the prince on his throne waiting for Tsukasa's arrival. Tsukasa walked down the red carpet and once he's near enough, he kneeled down with a hand on his chest. "Toya, your highness. What brings me the pleasure to be around your presence?" Tsukasa asked, looking up at Toya.

"I called you hear for a mission" Toya began to speak.

"Rumor has it that a sorcerer has been terrorizing multiple villages and I think you'd be suited for this job"

This catastrophe feel all to familiar to Tsukasa but he didn't want to jump to conclusions. Tsukasa accepted this mission, bowing one last time to Toya before leaving the room. He slowly walked down the hallway which leads to his room, while walking he was muttering and whispering his plan on how to slay he sorcerer.

Nightfall starts; Tsukasa has been hiding in the forest near an unaffected village where Toya predicted the next attack will happen and he was right. Footsteps rang on Tsukasa's ears, he didn't know exactly where this sorcerer is but he knows they’re near. The sorcerer fired its first shot before sprinting to the village and continuing to fire the shots. Tsukasa watched in horror as a familiar crimson flame emits from one of the village houses. "Rui.." He said under his breath before carefully getting up from his hiding spot and approaching the chaos.

It took Tsukasa a couple of minutes to finally find the sorcerer he's assigned to slay. He strikes with his sword but was blocked by an invisible force, his eyes widen but before he can react a wind blasted his direction pushing him far back. He clutched his sword close to his chest. A ball of crimson fire approached him; fortunately, Tsukasa was quick to react and blocked it with his sword, ignoring the burning air hitting his face.

Tsukasa charged at the sorcerer, lifting his sword and striking the cloaked man, hitting what he assumed is the arm. The sorcerer groaned, taking a step back but Tsukasa didn't give him a break and strike once again. kicking the sorcerer to the ground and there, the sorcerer's hood was taken off of him.

Tsukasa gasped as the man he didn't want to see was right in front of him. "Rui.." His grip on the sword loosen as he slowly approached Rui. "Did you.. cause that..?" He asked before placing a foot on Rui's chest.

"Did you cause that chaos back then that killed the girls..?" He asked once again, lifting his sword then stabbing the ground next to Rui's face.

Rui's eyes widen realising that a village he set on fire cause him to lose Nene, Emu and Saki.

"I didn't—" Rui's reply was cut off. "Don’t say you didn’t mean it!!" Tsukasa yelled, putting more pressure on Rui's chest. "Did you also not mean to abandon us?! To hurt us?! To leave us without saying anything?!" Tears began to form in Tsukasa eyes as he yelled. "Tsukasa! My star, I didn't want to hurt you all that's why I left.." Rui's having a hard time to breathe due to the pressure on his chest. "You didn't just hurt them.. you FUCKING KILLED THEM!" He stomped on Rui's chest and abdomen which led to Rui cough and spitting out blood.

'I.. deserved this..' Rui thought to himself as he gave up trying to fight for survival, if Tsukasa's killing him with his own hands then he has no reason to fight Tsukasa.

The blonde then took his foot off of Rui's chest and instead sat on his damaged abdomen; Tsukasa then pulled out his sword from the ground and plunged it on Rui's chest. "That's for killing Saki." He spat out, pulling out the sword.

"This is for killing Emu" another stab on Rui's chest. Rui choking on his own spit and blood as Tsukasa continues. Lifting up the sword once again and plunging it to Rui's heart "For killing Nene!" Tsukasa yelled, tears rolling down his cheeks and blurring his vision, he didn't care. He wanted to let is anger out.

"For abandoning us.." He whispered, gripping the sword. He lifted it up once again. "For abandoning ME!" He stabbed Rui once again. Tsukasa leaned down, shaking on top of Rui as tears continue to roll down his cheeks and hitting Rui's face. "We accepted who you are... opened our hearts and mind to you.." Tsukasa said softly; voice becoming hoarse yet soft. "We loved you.." Tsukasa pulled out the sword.

"I!"

He raised the sword over his head. "LOVED YOU!" A sword enters Rui's chest once again.

"Rui.. Give it back.. Give everything back.."

"Give me back my secrets, my wasted affection on you.. and.." He stopped to catch his breath, still gripping the sword. "My heart.."

With the little energy Rui has, he raised his bloody hand up and placed it on Tsukasa's cheek and caresses it. Even in such a gruesome state, Rui still managed to smile at the blonde. "I'm.. sorry... My star" Rui's aware that no amount of apologies will bring the girls back to life. No amount of gifts will heal the injuries he left on them when he decided to leave them.

Rui's vision is nothing but a blur and slowly but surely darkness. He can feel himself getting weaker and weaker, slowly losing consciousness. He couldn't hear or see anymore. This is goodbye. With the little consciousness Rui had he whispered to Tsukasa.

"I love you, my star."

His arm slowly fell on his side leaving a blood mark on Tsukasa's cheek. Tsukasa watched as Rui closed his eyes and his breathing came to a halt. Tsukasa lay his head low letting tears drop down on Rui's now unconscious body, the blonde's breathing uneven, heart beating frantically and body shaking.

"I love you too, Rui Kamishiro. Goodbye"

I was just scrolling through tiktok before seeing an analysis about how Tsukasa is aND THE SCENE WHERE TSUKASA WAS HANGING AND THE OTHERS IGNORE HIM. It gave me an idea,,,,

It's frustrating him.

He loves the attention! He loves the smiles of people! He loves the bright positivity that shines in their face whenever he makes a cool pose!

Then why did he feel hurt?

Of course it's because their attention to him is about judging him badly. Of course it's because their smiles to him are but mocks of how he's nothing but a clown. Of course it's because the bright positivity that shines in their face is fake and they're actually humiliating him.

He knows it all already. It stung whenever that happened, but he let it happen. Because he's always known as the ‘oblivious and naivé’ kind of person. Someone who's easy to be manipulated, someone's easy to be used. So what? If he's in a good use for people, it's fine.

He should've gotten used to this feeling of frustration and hurt. Then, why did it stung even more when it's with his troupe?

They did nothing wrong- just joking and all sorts of that. There's nothing wrong with them making fun of him once in a while. Nene has done that daily. Emu has been crushing him down whenever he shows up at her sight of view and dumbly agrees on him being made fun of. Rui with his joke about sending him to the sky, making him an actual star of the world in such a short time and ignoring his calls when he got stuck.

It hurts, coming from someone who you truly care about. He knows they're only joking, but he can't help but feel hurt about it and, to add salt to his already wounded heart, them ignoring how he feels with it. Just them seeing how he overreacts makes them loosen up with their jokes, and it warms his heart they're loosen up to him. But it hurts when they also loosen up the jokes.

The jokes are funny, but he's still hurt. Why, oh why, do they not realise it? Surely Emu feels it, right?

“Thank you everyone for the hard work today! This will definitely be our best show yet ~!” Rui cuts the tension of the practice as soon as the last act is done. Everyone let out a sigh of relief, with Emu jumping happily saying ‘wonderhoy!!’ with that bright aura of her showering the other three with it.

Nene sighs again and sits down on the floor, accepting the water bottle that Tsukasa gives her. Rui and Emu were talking about how the scenes should be made to be more magical and eye - catching, while the other two just watch them talk and enjoy the calmness of the atmosphere.

If you ignore how Rui keeps on having his cat smile and Emu getting more and more excited by the second, that is.

“Tsukasa, you should probably lower your voice in that one scene where we meet, you know. Your obnoxious voice is really gonna make the audience deaf someday…” that was a joke, that was a joke, that was a joke, that was a joke-

“Nene!! That scene was in need of a loud scream, okay!? It was expected of a future star such as myself to be giving my best!” he cannot let his ugly feelings show their way out. He needs to repress them. The World Future Star needs to shine, but this Tsukasa can just die.

He doesn't like it when he shows how weak he can be with emotions.

“So loud…” Nene murmurs, but doesn't move away. Huh, if she's complaining, then why is she still sitting next to him anyway? It's weird…

Letting their silence as they watch Emu and Rui talk in such ways they cannot understand, Nene gets up and just stares at the duo in silence. Tsukasa doesn't know if she's thinking about something or watching them, but it's none of his business.

Suddenly, Emu looked at Tsukasa with her blinding smile, “Tsukasa - Kunn!! What if we kaboow you to the sky when the scene you were sling slang with Nene - Chan???”

He doesn't understand her, but he understands what she's aiming at.

“No way! That scene doesn't need to be changed!!! You can't just throw me to the sky when it's show time!?”

“Fufu ~ That's why we want to change the scene to make it fit! And, does that mean I can launch you outside of the show?”

“Absolutely not! We're done with the launching part!!”

“Geh… at least lower your voice, idiot. “

“WHO DO YOU CALL AN IDIOT!?”

Emu laughs at it and keeps on repeating the word ‘idiot’ over and over again, while Rui just laughs it out loud. It feels humiliating, but they're only joking. Emu has done this before, Nene has jabbed him with her sharp words before, Rui has turned a blind eye at this kind of thing before.

Why did it hurt so badly now?

Emu makes jokes about things to him, and so is Rui. But it hurts so badly now. Did he wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? He's never been this bad before.

“It's not funny…” hearing his timid voice, Rui stops laughing. It shouldn't be too bad, but somehow hearing the same Tsukasa Tenma who's loud about things, having a timid voice is insane. It's not that insane, but it's extremely rare that he does it.

It shouldn't be too bad, right? They're just joking, after all. He can understand. (?)

“Jeez, calm down. It's just a joke. No need to be dramatic. “ It just added to the flame. What does she mean when she says that it's just a joke!? It's never a joke to begin with!

He woke up on the wrong side of the bed, being exhausted after practising his lines last night. Having to endure the other students’ comments about how loud, obnoxious and annoying he is. He loves the attention, negative or positive, but it's too much for him right now. And then he forgot his lunch and also his homework was forgotten on his desk at home, so he got punished and laughed at by others. It's too much.

Too much for a boy with a fragile heart like his.

With the others talking about it, he blocked their voices, getting them out of his head while trying to calm himself down. He's so tired, he can only endure so much today,

And he's at his limit.

“You should've just lowered your voice like when you become Thorpe-” “I'm so tired of this already!”

Suddenly, the atmosphere turns cold. The three looked at him in shock and somehow the shock was getting worse.

Tsukasa'a crying. And his eyes look like it's on the verge of dying with his lights flickering. Emu gasps and covers her mouth. Nene looked conflicted and frowning, thinking where did she go wrong. Rui is with his frowning, realising that his timid voice before was actually his limit.

They realised that Tsukasa is someone who's easy to tease, but never realised that he's on his limit.

“I'm so tired of your jokes! Don't you understand how it hurts me- how it affects me as myself!? You guys are always joking here and there, but never realise how your jokes are getting too far! “ shouted Tsukasa. It hits them to the core.

They've gone too far. And they've been hitting the limit for a long time.

“Tsukasa… you can understand that those are jokes right-?” Nene tries to lessen Tsukasa's anger. This was like the first time they had an argument, and at that time Tsukasa was at fault, but it's not his fault that he doesn't realise that he wants to do shows for his sister.

And now it's their fault for getting too far. And they cannot see the reason why it's not their fault when Tsukasa has clearly shown signs of him being uncomfortable by their jokes.

Tsukasa laughs. His laugh feels so empty, “I know! But it still hurts nonetheless! What do you think about how people have been saying bad things to you and then treating it like a joke? I've been feeling that since long and have gotten used to it, but you guys who know better about me don't realise how it hurts me so badly! You guys know that words are like arrows, right!?

I've asked you guys to stop, but you guys didn't! You only make it worse! I've had a bad day already, so just spare me…

Please…”

And that's when he broke down. He choked on his own saliva at the end and cried silently on the spot. He cannot handle them being this mean to him now. He can any other day, just not now. He had enough for today.

The three can only watch him crying. It hurts them how, even when he says stop, they didn't. They hurt him the way they never realised that it's affecting him greatly. Frustration and stress has built its way to his body as he cries himself. It only hurts them even more when they realise that he's trying to quiet down his cry.

Emu has already broken down by how she has affected him so much it makes him cry. She cried at how she should've realised it was too much for him. She's sensitive to feelings right? Why can't she actually feel the bleeeegh feelings that latched on Tsukasa??

Nene can feel her eyes prickling with tears. She has done this. She has made him cry. Not of happiness, not of dying of laughter, no nothing. She made him cry tears of sadness. What she promised not to upset people close to her, has broken down. Why? Is all she wanted to ask herself.

Rui didn't cry. No tears have made its way to his eyes. But his heart that feels the warmth of laughter suddenly goes cold when Tsukasa shouts stop and he feels empty because of how Tsukasa confesses his feelings about the jokes they've made. He should be mad. Tsukasa yelled at his childhood friend again -at him and Emu too- , but he knows it's their fault for upsetting him until he cries. He failed another friend, it seems.

No one has said a word before Tsukasa runs away from the Wonder Stage. Everyone was shocked and tried to chase him, but he ran faster and out of everyone's sight. He also left his bag too. His phone is with him, right? Maybe they can call him.

But Rui stopped Emu's attempt to call Tsukasa.

“Maybe we should let him calm down first. We can apologise to him when he calms down. “ Emu was hesitant, but nodded anyway, and put her phone in her pocket.

Nene starts sobbing, “How are we so blind to his frustration..? Weren't we all just joking before..?”

Words are like arrows. When you says bad things about them, it's like an archer shoots an arrow at them.

And they're the archers to Tsukasa.

the Leo/need adjacent unit, composed of Ichika Hoshino, Airi Momoi, Ena Shinonome, and Minori Hanasato. ☆ a girl who's lost her friendships, and three others searching for their worth.

about the group's name: ♡ originally, i had "from here to there" in mind, but someone from the Discord gave me the name "destination point" and i thought it was much better, so i went with that. ♪

about the SEKAI: ♡ the Train SEKAI. no one knows when it left, or where it's going - just that it never stops. it's the perfect place for those who feel like they're lagging behind. just close your eyes and let yourself be carried away, right? but maybe there's something you can do… starts with a Miku and a Rin. the former's hardworking and talented, but the latter struggles - Rin is somewhat influenced by Ena's (and, to a lesser extent, Airi's) jealousy towards others.

Ichika hasn't managed to rekindle her friendship with her friends, and she's not doing particularly well. At one point, she meets Airi - who just quit being an idol. The two start talking and become friends, at which point they end up forming a band together. Airi wants to try finding a place where she could finally be taken seriously.

Ena's invited by Airi, and Minori - who had failed auditions recently - ends up inspired by Ichika's kindness, Airi's drive and Ena's determination, which is how she joins. (Haruka completely gave up on being an idol; something Minori is saddened by.)

In my mind, Ichika plays the guitar; Airi, the drums; Minori, the keyboard and Ena, the bass.

IDEAL HEAVEN! (IH)

the MORE MORE JUMP! adjacent unit, composed of Mafuyu Asahina, Emu Otori, Mizuki Akiyama and Shizuku Hinomori. ☆ an up-and-coming idol group that combines cuteness and sophistication.

about the SEKAI: ♡ quite similar to the Empty SEKAI, but with some idol influences - a broken stage with no one in sight. there's no bright lights, no colorful props. nothing. that SEKAI both comforts and pains Mafuyu. home to a lone Miku. sweet, hopeful, but genuinely crushed by the pressure she's feeling.

Mafuyu's mother wants a perfect child. idols are very frequently represented as being perfect - so, she decides that her daughter should become one, too. Mafuyu's not keen on the idea, but that's her mother; she's obedient, so she goes along with it.

Shizuku still quit Cheerful * Days, but instead of stopping altogether she ends up with Mafuyu. Emu wants to make people smile, but no one ever came; Wonderlands × Showtime was never a thing. so she decides to become an idol instead, even if it means she'll never bring back the Wonder Stage to its former state.

Mizuki's half-dragged into IDEAL HEAVEN! by Emu, who saw them looking with interest at idol merch. after bringing them to meet Mafuyu and Shizuku, Mizuki ends up accepting - the idea of wearing cute clothes and being called cute doesn't seem too terrible.

the Vivid BAD SQUAD adjacent unit, composed of Haruka Kiritani, An Shiraishi, Shiho Hinomori and Akito Shinonome. ☆ two street musicians chasing after their dream, and the two girls they brought with them.

about the SEKAI: ♡ the Street SEKAI. weirdly, it seems Haruka's idol background has somewhat influenced its appearance. its inhabitants are Miku, Meiko and Len. this Miku is levelheaded, but it seems like there's something holding her back from going all-in...

after quitting being an idol, Haruka is invited by An to join her.

An's never met Kohane, and she never found a partner. Haruka is hesitant for a moment before deciding to give it a shot, though she keeps struggling with singing. Shiho tries getting more experience, meets Akito. no one really knows how these two ended together, but they both have a similar drive and take music very seriously.

eventually, they all start working together. Haruka deals with her guilt and, while she doubts she'll become an idol again, she's mostly made peace with what happened.

STARLIGHT ☆ EVERMORE (S ☆ E)

the Wonderlands × Showtime adjacent unit, composed of Tsukasa Tenma, Saki Tenma, Kanade Yoisaki and Toya Aoyagi. ☆ a strange troupe of people who aim to help others through their performances.

about the SEKAI: ♡ still very much Tsukasa's, so it's the Wonderland SEKAI. [kanade goes there for the first time and dies. alas, they're still a shut-in and this place is simply too colorful for her poor eyes.] starts with a Miku and a Kaito, though this version of the former uses far less onomatopoeias.

Tsukasa figures he needs to show the world how much of a star he is himself, and he drags his siblings into it (with varying degrees of willingness).

a part of Saki still wishes she could be in a band with her friends; she's only somewhat managed to repair her friendship with Ichika. but she's still happy to do something fun and lighthearted after all her struggles. Toya's very excited to do something with Tsukasa and his siblings. he also gets to stick it to his dad, which, honestly - is a bonus.

out of the three, Kanade is obviously the most hesitant about the whole thing. but she sees Tsukasa's drive to make others happy, something she shares with him, so she ends up agreeing. Kanade is… slightly healthier physically on account of the stubborn people looking after her, as well as all the exercise she does she does as part of Starlight ☆ Evermore. mentally? eh… we'll get there. i need her traumatized to be interesting. <3

the 25-ji, Nightcord de. adjacent unit, composed of Nene Kusanagi, Rui Kamishiro, Honami Mochizuki and Kohane Azusawa. ☆ hidden behind avatars, these citizens of the web tell stories online.

about the SEKAI: ♡ the arcade SEKAI. this Miku is shy and withdrawn, though she one day hopes she'll be able to break out of her shell, just like Nene. alongside her is Luka - she has a bit of a teasing attitude and a catlike personality, but she always does her best to boost Nene's confidence.

about the group's name: ♡ syndrome refers to a group of symptoms - i paired it with the word lonely because i felt like it represented the atmosphere of an arcade. you're connected with people who share your interests, but at the same time, you're sort of separate from them. surrounded by people, but utterly alone…

Nene's social anxiety hasn't gotten better over the years. since she never joins Wonderlands × Showtime, she doesn't learn how to fight her stage fright.

but, she finds an alternate solution; using an avatar online. it's less stress-inducing, and it lets her pursue acting, in a way - it's not what Nene wants, but it's close enough. she figures she could be satisfied with that. Rui ends up figuring out what she's doing, and asks if he can help. Nene doesn't really have any reason to say no, so they start working together.

as for Honami and Kohane, they ended up on Nene's channel by pure accident. but her performances quickly became a comfort to them, since they were struggling at the time (the former because she no longer had her friends, the latter because of her lack of confidence).

unfortunately, ignoring your problems only goes so far, and eventually, her feelings give birth to the arcade SEKAI.
