“Y/N doesn’t want to go on a shitty date with you, you piece of trash.” 

“I second that.” 

“I’m your senior, Kunimi-kun!” 

“Is that...the wind I hear Kindaichi?” 

The first year blinks once in utter confusion before beginning to ask what the hell Kunimi meant, causing you to clap your hands together once to handle the chaos, successfully managing to silence the whole Aoba Joshai team efficiently.  

The third years (minus Oikawa) share a knowing smirk, impressed a first-year like you was so capable of handling a group of this demeanor.

You’re the first to move, kneeling down slowly before opening the first aid kid, carefully placing an ice pack by his side a safe-distance away to where he could still reach it, seeing Oikawa reach a hesitant hand out to you from your now blurred vision as you stand to your feet.

“Iwa.” 

You turn, fighting the quiver in your shoulders and crack in your voice as the heat floods your eyes and down your cheeks before you can stop it. 

“U-Um...Carry on practice, will you? I’ve got to go to the bathroom...” 

Embarrassed and flustered, you wipe at your eyes as you feel everyone watching you pick up the pace to get out of there sooner, leaving the Seijoh team facing silence once again. 

Kyoutani scoffs at your retreat, not being able to hide the surprise in his features when the one man he respected suddenly had his practice shirt in his fist, pulling him towards his pissed-off expression to lessen the proximity. 

“What the actual hell is wrong with you?” Iwaizumi’s voice was genuinely questioning with an edge that seemed to promise death, scarily quiet to the point where Kyoutani felt a shiver. 

“Y/N hasn’t done you wrong in any way, has she?” Mattsun crosses his arms, obviously irritated as Hanamaki clenches his teeth at the way Kyoutani rolls his eyes, refusing to answer. 

“First you mess up the set- and now you go and make our manager cry? You must be real fun at parties.” Kunimi, surprisingly, scoffs as amusement and irritation twinkles in his usually bored eyes, knowing damn well Kyotani wouldn’t do anything to him with the third years around. 

“Listen.” Iwa growls as Oikawa jogs off in your direction to go find you. “I don’t give a shit if you’re on your period or what, but newsflash: We’re a team. A team that’s lucky to even have a manager like Y/N- so the next time you call her a slut in front of any of us?” 

Kyotani glances at the icepack, furrowing his brows. 

“I won’t hesitate to get the coach to keep you on the bench all season. Don’t forget that.” 

Iwa releases the tightened material, standing up before moving his voice to a volume to speak to the whole team. 

“Practice is almost over anyway. Be here tomorrow morning.” 

Kyotani growls, the growing pain in his calve becoming unnoticeable as the sound of multiple sneakers jogging past him sound, signalling the rest of the team were leaving the gym with him by his lonesome- 

a melting ice pack now in a gripped hand as a foreign emotion swirls around in the spiker’s stomach.

Iwa swats Oikawa for the second time that day, causing the brunette to groan as Matsukawa taps on the women’s bathroom door, Hanamaki leaning on the wall next to it. After instructing the underclassmen to head home to let them handle this, you now had four tall, scary-looking dudes (again, minus Oikawa) outside the women’s bathroom waiting for you. 

“Will you all just go home?” You groan through the door, dabbing at your now puffy eyes with cold water as you hear Iwaizumi audibly sigh. 

“Come out so we can at least make sure you’re okay.” Hanamaki calls through the door as you lean your back against the door, not wanting them to see you like this. 

“I’m fine. Thank you all for caring.” you respond softly, tapping your head back against the door. “Maybe this manager position isn’t for me.” 

“What?! You’re gonna let some little punk tell you what you should and shouldn’t be doing?” Mattsun exclaims, irritation evident in his voice at the thought of you giving up as you sigh, opening up the door as you manage a smile at the relief that floods their faces. 

“I don’t know. I shouldn’t...but what if he’s right?”

“I’m not.” 

You flinch at the voice, eyes widening as Iwa and Hanamaki simutaneously take a step in front of you as Kyotani takes limping steps towards the five of you. 

“No. Um...” You push them apart, surprising the both of them as you step through. “Let him speak.”

“Wow. Give him a standing ovation, everyone.” 

Oikawa flinches, hiding behind you at the raise of Iwa’s hand as you find yourself smiling gently at the way Kyotani was looking everywhere else but you, your smile widening at the gripped and dripping ice pack in his hold. 

“I...” Kyotani coughs, embarrassment flooding his cheeks. “I shouldn’t have said those things. Sorry. I hurt my leg.” 

Despite the simplicity of his words, a beam spread across your face before you look down at said leg. 

“Will you let me wrap it for you?” 

Kyotani relaxes a little as you approach him, nodding once as the third-years smirk at the fact that you were beginning to have the newcomer as whipped for you as the rest of them were.

The rain pounded on your heavy shoulders as you raced home, careful to avoid puddles as your sneakers smacked against the pavement. It had been raining consistently for the past week, leaving you continually damp and generally grumpy. You enjoyed rainy weather when you were allowed to watch it from the other side of the window. 

You yanked open the front door of your house and hustled across the threshold, popping off your muddy shoes along the way. 

“Hey honey, how was your-” your mother began, folding clothes near the couch. You sped past her, keeping your shoulders high to avoid any sort of conversation. 

“Can’t talk, tired!” you shouted over your shoulder, speed walking down the hallway. 

“You can’t escape your problems by hiding in someone else’s head!” your mom called after you, your door slamming on the last word. 

You sighed, dropped your backpack to the floor, and crawled into bed with no hesitation. She was right, sleeping would not help you deal with your bad days, but it wasn’t like you had normal dreams anyway. 

They began around age thirteen, the strange images that would appear as soon as you closed your eyes. They started out fuzzy at first, foggy around the corners, and in a rudimentary black and white. They were mildly frightening, almost like flashes of memories that felt familiar, but were obviously not yours. The language was strange and the sounds too harsh. Eventually, you had to come clean to your mother or else begin explaining why you looked like you never had any sleep. 

You had enlightened your parents of the strange nightmares plaguing you as soon as you laid your head to rest, only to have your parents knowingly smile at each other. They insisted that everything was normal and to not panic. This was difficult as you still had no earthly idea what it all meant. Feeling alone in it all, you had stormed away from the only people you could truly trust, insisting that they didn’t understand. 

That’s when the dreams became more vivid. No longer were you stuck looking at a pixelated screen, but bright images of laughing boys and dancing feet. The language was still unfamiliar, but much more soft, more comforting. It was as if the person you were seemingly living through had become aware of your existence, aware that this was incredibly new. 

That’s when you sat down with your parents again. 

“So...I need an explanation,” you insisted, crossing your small hands on the table before you. “It’s like I’m living someone else’s life when I fall asleep. I have no idea what he’s saying, but it’s a boy? These aren’t my experiences, but they feel like they are, and I’m honestly pretty freaked out.”

“Not to freak you out more,” your mother smiled. “But the images you are seeing are experiences belonging to your soulmate.”

“I’m going to need you to rewind and pause,” you had whispered, furrowing your brows. “This is something that happens in a sci fi movie, not in real life.” 

“If it makes you feel better, when he sleeps, he sees the world from your eyes as well!” your father said cheerfully, nodding his head. 

“How?” you gasped, suddenly feeling icky. “What all does he see? Oh my god can he see me using the bathroom? Mom, Dad, I can’t.” 

Your dad’s eyes became wide as he tilted his head, looking curiously at your mother. “I don’t remember seeing you in the bathroom, but this little punk better not-”

“I’m pretty sure that’s a hardcoded no-no in our human nature,” your mother nodded, her expression remaining serene. “Has he tried to contact you?”

“He’s going to try to contact me? I haven’t even seen his face yet,” you groaned. “He’s so calm though. He has to see me freaking out all the time.”

“Some cultures...and even some people’s parents try to explain the idea of soulmates to their children before they actually come into contact with them,” your mom continued. “Everyone starts experiencing the dreams at different times, so he could have realized what was happening.”

“Wait, so...like...he doesn’t speak English,” you whispered. “Does that mean I have to learn another language? When am I going to see his face?”

“Most likely,” your father nodded. “If you plan on communicating. And usually you won’t see his face until you actually meet. It’s funny how the universe works like that.” 

You rolled your eyes and stood from the table. “I just want to say, I would’ve appreciated a little heads up. I guess I’ll start my...um...Japanese lessons? Korean lessons? Chinese? I have to google some stuff...”

With years worth of dreams under your belt and unknowingly learning Korean in your sleep, the whole soulmate experience had become normalized by the time you got to university. You had slowly learned that your soulmate’s name was Jihoon and he lived in Seoul. He was a musician, and an extremely talented one at that. He was constantly surrounded by a troop of equally as talented and hardworking boys (not to mention incredibly good looking and goofy) so you felt optimistic about the idea of your future. You had grown to use Jihoon’s experiences as a coping mechanism, falling asleep whenever your own life became too difficult to handle so you could escape into his. He was normally calm, providing a quiet solace through his every day actions. You couldn’t help the small corner of your mind that was plagued by doubt, falling susceptible to the google articles you had read about soulmates never meeting and being haunted with the experiences of one another until their dying days. You knew you wanted to meet him, but just didn’t know when. Or if he even felt the same. 

Jihoon stifled a large yawn as he leaned over the mixing board in the studio. He had been at his work for hours, long since giving up the pleasant idea of sleep. 

The pleasant idea of you. 

He tilted his head as he thought about things, about the small bits of life he had shared through your eyes. He was grateful that he had such a kind soulmate, someone on the opposite side of the world unknowingly supporting him and pushing him to be better. He had been relentlessly practicing his English in his free time, capable of understanding most of your conversations in your daily life. He loved the sound of your voice more than any song he had composed. His heart fluttering in his sleep, managing to keep his emotions invested as your experiences became one. 

He scribbled idly onto his notepad, wondering what you would be seeing from his perspective today. He longed to get a glimpse of you, any little bit he could. He contemplated on the curve of your lips, the arch of your brow, the color of your eyes. He knew he’d never find out unless he could meet you in person, close the gap between the two of you. But how? 

Maybe a few hours of sleep would help.

You sprung from your bed, fresh from a nap following your afternoon classes. This was it, this was the break you needed. 

You slid from beneath the blankets and padded across the hardwood floor in search of whichever parent you could find first. Luckily they were both lazily reclined on the couch, glued to the television when you turned the corner. 

“Parents,” you nodded, your eyes urgent. “It’s time.”

“What’s time?” your mother sighed, looking up from the television. 

“For me to apply for the study abroad,” you continued. “In Seoul.”

Your father’s eyes looked quickly from you to your mother, surprised by the sudden outburst. “Are you sure?”

“I have enough,” you nodded. “I can find him. You said when I found him, I’d know, didn’t you? The feeling would be nothing I’ve ever felt before. Like dreams and reality became one.”

Your mother nodded slowly, a nervous smile on her face. “If you’re ready...we won’t stop you.” 

You nodded, an anxious feeling consuming your chest. “I’m ready.”

Jihoon launched from his small bed, slamming his head on the bunk above him. 

“Shit,” he grumbled, rubbing his forehead in aggravation. He looked around the dark room, his body still slow with movements of sleep while his mind raced. 

“Yah, you couldn’t have found a better way to wake me up?” Jeonghan grumbled, his head appearing over the side of the bunk. 

“I didn’t intend on waking anyone up,” JIhoon sighed. “I had a ...dream? Nightmare? I don’t know anymore.”

“What did you see? Jeonghan asked, his head disappearing again. 

“She’s coming,” Jihoon whispered, shaking his head. 

“Well...that’s a good thing, isn’t it?” Jeonghan asked hesitantly. 

“I think so? What if she doesn’t like me? What if she says something about my height?” JIhoon continued. 

“Like, wow, that guy is so much taller than I expected!” Mingyu grumbled from his bunk on the other side of the room. “Seeing the world through his eyes made me think he was only 91cm tall.”

“If you wake up to a pillow over your face, you’ll know who you’re being smothered by,” Jeonghan giggled. 

“Look,” Seungcheol groaned, sitting up in the bed opposite Jihoon. “To save us all some wasted sleep, Jihoon, it’ll be fine.”

“I just want a normal night sleep,” Jihoon whined. “It’s been so long.”

“That’s why you have to meet her,” Seungcheol nodded. “You’ve been watching each other for years-”

“Creeeeepy,” Mingyu sang. 

The room didn’t have to be well lit to tell the other three boys were rolling their eyes. 

“If she didn’t want to meet you, she wouldn’t be on her way,” Seungcheol continued. “You’re usually the one to give me sound advice, so listen to yourself for once. Just breathe. It’ll all be fine.”

“And if it’s not,” Jeonghan called out. “At least you’ll be able to sleep again.”

Mingyu giggled “Ah yes, Woozi hyung’s true soulmate, a sound night’s sleep.”

You were nervous as you gripped the light stick in your hand, uncertain of what would happen next, or what you should do with it. You looked it over carefully, the small, pink diamond centerpiece, the easy script reading Seventeen. You looked back up again, beginning to navigate your way through the masses of teenage girls idling around in the crowd. After a few small attempts at begging and throwing your shoulders around, you finally found your way to the front row of the pit, your stomach pressed against the barrier. Your heart felt like it was about to explode, seemingly skipping beats as you came to realize the gravity of the situation. 

You were in Korea. You were at a concert. A concert being put on by an idol group. 

An idol group containing your soulmate. 

As the lights around the stage began to dim, the noise pulsing from the crowd grew louder. You began to contemplate your movements for once the show was over, after you were inevitably deemed just another face in the crowd, passed over by the man you had travelled so far to see. Could you follow their vehicles? Could you arrange a meeting at their entertainment building? Thoughts swam around your head as slow music began to pump through the already tense atmosphere and several boys appeared. 

You nodded with the beat, recognizing face after face as they became visible. That one was Seungkwan. And that one was Vernon. That one was Wonwoo. And that one was Mingyu. You continued to nod, feeling as if the seconds were stretching into hours as you waited to see the face you weren’t familiar with. 

Until it appeared and you realized...it was more familiar than them all. 

As your eyes found his face, his skin seemed to almost glow. You were rendered breathless, halting all movements as you stared up at him, completely lost in his movements as he strode across the stage. Your father was right. It was as if dreams and reality were becoming one. 

Your mind was completely blank, your eyes following him without stopping as he danced and sang his way back and forth in front of you, not stopping long enough to get a solid enough look into the crowd. You knew he had some idea that you were visiting. He had to have known you were here. 

Halfway through the show, when you thought you were going to pass out from lack of oxygen, the house lights came up, only a small group of boys coming out onto the stage. You recognized them immediately as Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, Seungkwan, and your Woozi. 

Almost as if drawn to you, he held tight to his guitar as he pulled his stool to sit before you on the stage. His eyes scanned the front row carefully, taking a small moment to acknowledge each fan and give them a small smile. The blood in your veins turned to ice water as his gaze grew closer to the section you were in. As he casually looked over each person, his eyes came to a halt, his attention completely focused on something. You tilted your head, realizing he was staring at your hands, draped over the barrier and clinging tightly to the light stick you had bought. His eyes slowly traced up your arms and across your shoulders, up your neck and halting on your face. His jaw dropped slowly as he openly gaped at you. 

“Woozi hyung,” Seungkwan whispered, sending an elbow to his older member. “Woozi hyung, introduce the song.”

Jihoon shook his head slowly, attempting to come out of the trance you had put him in. “This...this song...this song is for someone...I dream about every day. Please enjoy Mansae.”

I honestly have many OCs, most part of them might don’t be interesting for most part of you but I guess I’ll talk about one of them anyway xP And for this I’ll use my Yuri on Ice OC, called Max. I made him for a RP with @chubbybloomykitty and @blackcatfishingdreams where all the skaters are judging on a kind of “The Voice” skating version xP And our OCs are competeting on this contest having Yuuri and Viktor as their couchies :) If you want to know more about it send an ask to me or to one of my two friends xP But before I start answering this I’ll talk a little about Max [WARNING: THIS CHARACTHER IS QUEER, IF YOU DON’T SUPPORT IT DON’T SEND ME BULLSHIT TALKING ABOUT HOW BEING QUEER IS WRONG OR ANY “PENIS AND VAGINA” SHIT. THANK YOU? THANK YOU] Max is an 17 years old, AMAB (assigned male at birth) boyflux with a short curly hair (sometimes leave it straight), brown eyes and white skin. He likes to use make up and “girly” clouthes sometimes but usely goes for the most neutral visual they can. You can use whatever pronouns with them (from he to zir) and he won’t feel bad, they just don’t want you to treat them as a cisgender boy xP Ok, I guess it was all I could say before starting (I should really try to draw them -v-’’’) let’s go then <3

1. Their voice

Max’s voice is pretty chill and soft, it’s not so deep but also not so acute but it deppends on their emotions (usually makes a really acute voice when have strong emotions. It’s  unusual from them to make a deep voice, unless they are singing)

2. Their smile

Booooy, he has one of the most beautiful smiles of all my OCs until now. Because of their radiant personality he likes to smile a lot specially close to their friends and loved ones <3 (that doesn’t mean that they can’t be savage or sassy tho (¬ ͜ʖ¬) )

3. Their Greatest Achievement

Welp, that’s a good question... Since we didn’t decided who will win the contest yet I guess their greatest achievement until now was to quit their parents house to pratice their skating and get to be noticed by their idols. It’s something that I didn’t discussed to any of my friends yet but their parents awalys were very queerphobic and never supported their dreams and hobbies. And after their father find out that they had a boyfriend (currently ex bf, but that’s another story...) they reacted very strongly and the only thing that came to Max’s mind was to run away as quick as possible. After this, they made everything they could to be strong and get to an big skating contest despite all prejudice they suffered on the process and show to everyone that queer people (specially nb people) DO exists and can be whatever they want. They never hided their gender identity or their sexuality to anyone since then. So be one of the finalists of a big contest with 2 of their idols was something REALLY important to them.

4. Their insecurities

This is something that Max tries their best to hide from everyone but their past are awalys hunting them. They often gets pretty scared of walking on streets and accidentily meet their parents or their former bf again. Why? Well, since their parents is something obvious let’s just talk about their former bf. Welp, he and Max know each other since they were just children and Max awalys felt something for him. They started dating hided from their parents then ran to live together and help each other with their dreams. He awalys made Max very happy and showed all support in the world with everything Max wanted to do (buy a skirt, learning light make up, change their civil name to their social name, etc...) and Max were very happy thankful for all of this. But then one night, when Max woke up in the middle of night and listened to him talking with someone on the phone about them. When they noticed it, they went to the living room to listen the rest of the conversation he was having and what he heard was “I’m trying what I can to make him realize that this queer thing is bullshit. Even tho *insert Max’s civil name here* seems to want to become a girl he awalys take it back and try to have his maculinity back. Maybe he is just afraid that I broke up with him if he decides to be a girl, or is just confused... I’m trying my best to help him to decide it but he insists on this Non Binary shit”.  Well, short speaking... Max started to cry, slaped his face before he could turn off his phone and ran away one more time. After this all this words kept hunting their mind and sometimes gave him terrible nightmares.

5. Their shortcomings

Max is often very impulsive and don’t think too much before decide something. They never were able to see if they have some depression or anxiety disorder because they never looked for a psychologist or any other specialists to find this out. They are headstrong and don’t give up on one point of view easily (which sometimes is good but sometimes can be really mad).

6. How do they deal with grief.

Skating or simply dancing awalys helped them to deal with anything, specially if this is a happy song, and sometime they just slack off and watch animes or play indie video games <3 (my sweet nerd :’D)

7. How they like to dress

Usually, Max tried to dress as neutral as possible with a large sweatshirt, jeans and sneakers. On special occasions they like to use one of the dress or the skirts their friend usually like to give them <3

8. What they like to eat

*inhales* Ok, we are talking about what they like to eat or what they CAN eat? xP Max usually goes for vegan food not because they are actually vegan, they are more for vegetarian, but because it’s yummy and it helps them to have a good meal and control their weight at the same time (also they LOVE to cook and have a great fun doing all the types of vegan meal by themselve xP)

Master of Tides - Lindsey Stirling This song was used on their first presentation for the contest and he played as a strong pirate playing with his enemies <3 And this song is the one that I’m planning to use for their final presentation (just thinking tho). And think both fits as their themes because they fit with their strenghtness and their fragility respectively

10. Their fashion sense

They don’t actually have one (?) they just go with the style they are currently into xP They like the punk style and the goth style but it’s awalys that they use it for themselves.

11. Their family life

Max’s family had a rich life and owned a very important executive business company. Lucky for Max, they never got envolved with skating or any kind of  ice sport but it doesn’t make their fear of ocasionally meeting their parents disappear.

12. Their romanticaly life

Max only date once so far and had small relations with some people (usually guys). Max is kinda afraid of seriously moving on and date again and gets really nervous with the idea of falling in love to someone again But to their sadness (or not  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ) they are currently between an amazing bigender person they met on the contest’s cerimonial party, called Gemna, and a boy from his team called Toby.

Covering their mouth and blow all the heat they can out while sheding some little tears :’)

Other than just winning the contest, they want to open a LGBT+ Friendly Dancing School <3

To be an inspiration to all queers and see they saying that they changed their life somehow by giving them the hope that they can fight against all their prejudice and be the heck they want to be and do the heck they want to do

Boy, Max can forgive many things but betrayal is not one of them. If they ever find out that someone is betraying them, they will make sure that the person will be cient that they know it and then will treat them like they never had existed and like an invisible person.

.... You mean physical pain or mental pain (?) If it’s mental they try to make their best to don’t show it to anyone as long as they can and to not cry because someone can come and see it or call him and get worried if they don’t hang up.

They never sleep just two hours if someone try to wake them up like this their reaction is just to say “ok” and sleep again against their own will xP

Max becomes an unseless vegetable when they are sick and make everything pretty slow, speacially on understanding things xP

Other then all their objectives and stuff? THIS GODDAMN SONG! 

25. Why I enjoy them

Boy... They are my child...I don’t know how to explain this, I just love them so much and I want to protect them with all my powers ;u;Aaaaaaand that’s it :3 I hope you enjoy them <3 Tell me if you did!
