Okay, but comfort/emotional support characters can be so weird. Because my comfort/emotional support characters are usually ones who are super sweet and/or positive.

And then I have that one who's just totally unhinged and not okay. Basically, a guy who clearly hasn't had a good day in his life.

Like, I have Gwen from Cursed Princess Club.

Charlie from Hazbin Hotel.

Prussia from Hetalia.

Luz from The Owl House.

And then we have Silas from the Da Vinci Code.

I kinda wonder what this says about me...

(I really hope my love for this character doesn't go away when I finally read the book).

Can I just have a moment to tmi that seeing my emotional support anime character in my feed after so many years made me cry? Physical tears? They dropped from my chin and now my face feels sticky? I- it's so messed up. Emotional support characters are so messed up. This cluster of lines and a voice actor got me through the worst years of depression and s-of-cide ideation of my life when I was 15-20 and it's so fucked. Why are human brains like this. Why do we, in the absence of real human connection, just connect to fictional characters? And then we make up their whole personality out of the bits we know and that's them. That's your version of them. And they are just as real as the character in the show was, because they are both not.

Behold:

sociable and responsible golden retriever leader that is super talktative, a bit silly, and loves puns

kind-at-heart aggressive literature nerd that can do a job but can't talk emotions properly (tries their best anyways)

sitting behind computer, aggressively typing, multitasking 20 jobs, chaotic random thoughts flying around chaotic random brain

will physically bite people if annoyed properly

Dick mode and Tim mode for work, Jason mode for friends and Dami mode for jerks. If you feel like it tag your mode.

Best thing about these characters is we get to see a bit of ourselves in every one of them.

(They are all very well rounded chracters and this post is just me picking out the part I vibe with)

watching the sdcc panel and i am just very :) about how sweet their answers to “what are some of the micro moments from the game that have stuck with you the most over the years?” are. taliesin saying what the fuck is up with that which was the first like The Party Gets To Know Each Other moments of c3. travis saying asking his wife if he could kiss her in campaign. marisha going way back to the cannonball competition in campaign one. ashley choosing the beauyasha date but also just the silly goat noise matt made. liam adding onto that to compliment matt roleplaying grass so well and then saying his favourite moment was writing a story for laura and reading it to her as caleb for jester. and then matt saying that was his answer, and that his favourite moments of the game are when they find ways to give gifts to each other whether tangible or not. and sam saying his favourite moments have less to do with the story and is more so when he can just. see his friends across the table from him. when marisha perches and when laura and ashley are (badly) drawing dicks and liam saying he loves when sam sneezes and ashley tells him to stop it and just. yeah. they Are an extremely popular online powerhouse, but i’m so happy that they’re also friends building a world together out of gifts to and love for one another.

like i Am so enamoured with the characters and the world of exandria but the moments when you can feel the love that those people have for each other reach out from behind the stained glass of their performances (to steal a metaphor from brennan lee mulligan) are so extremely special and i am endlessly grateful that they decided to share their silly little home game with the world.

Have there been times the Turner parents have suspected something but shrugged it off?

They have never suspected Timmy Turner of anything! Despite often expressing regret or disappointment, they still very much love their son! And all the benefits he brings them!!

The Turners are a well established family in the neighborhood. It wouldn't bode them well to go around casting doubt against their own son. It'd affect their reputation terribly!
