waited until i was done to answer and i'm gonna say YES!!!

it's not the best movie you'll ever watch by any means, but i really really liked it (pure il piantino finale con la pausini in sottofondo mi sono fatto lmao), and it's certainly not the kind of story or characters we usually get in italy -- like, name the last italian movie you watched that had a black muslim kid, a holocaust survivor, a trans woman played by a trans woman, a supporting cast of muslim & jewish characters AND was competently written & directed (like, exceptionally so, given that it's a netflix movie. really wouldn't look out of place in a cinema if we still had those)

and on top of that there's sophia loren, who's just.....y'know, SOPHIA FUCKING LOREN

Agh that’s a hard one! I love the versatility of guitars and good drums. But I am also very into the hurdy gurdy. This thing FUCKS.

A friend of mine died after a hit and run. He was on his bike on his way home from our first day of high school. A few of his guy friends got together and sang this acoustic at his service. It still makes me tear up whenever I hear it.

There are so many!! But one of my go tos is Angel Haze.

my aunt got me into hungarian folk metal! dalraida is a good band in that genre. in terms of music from the website emily84 linked, my favorite decade and country is 1980’s russia.

I wish Americans fucked with more foreign music. You don’t have to know the language to appreciate a good record. Folks in other countries listen to our music and don’t speak a lick of english. Music needs no translator

Re: The Germans. 64,8% of 61 M voted (42M), 16% thereof voted far right. That's 6.739M people who cry "never again" and promptly go and vote Nazis. If you look at the results, you get that the conservative + extreme right make up 39.5% of all voters. 24M people prefer to see us march straight into the past.

Also @emily84 these 24M ARE 20% of Germany.
