hahahha okay. ics = incident command system. this was a throwback to a couple years ago when i was working in public health emergency preparedness and in order to make myself care about the required trainings on emergency management org charts and logistics and roles and rules etc, i decided to apply them to elves. "fingon would be operations section chief, maedhros and fingolfin would both be incident commander using unified command," and so on. i got really obsessed with this and took like a dozen non-required training courses just to have more information for my beleriand chains of command diagrams. i even started a separate ics org chart for angband, bc it occurred to me that their (eventually-winged) dragons meant they could have an air ops branch, which i thought was funny?? i also wrote like 30 pages of mostly logistics conversations in which the noldor invent ics and assign roles and then try to carry them out, i have not reread it and do not know if it's interesting to anyone but me. this post has some of my ics diagrams if that helps
