I'm going to have a booth at a festival this weekend!
It'll be the Monarch Festival in Fort Wayne, Indiana-- this Sunday, September 8th, from 12pm to 5pm -- a festival to celebrate the monarch migration that passes through the marsh this time of year. There'll be monarch viewings, guided hikes, free milkweed plants, a bunch of learning stations... and also my friends and I selling patterns and art!
I'll have kits of this and another pattern (a little spotted frog!), along with some handmade pocket guides to the animals of the marsh.
If any of y'all happen to be in the area, and you'd like to learn more about monarchs and marshes, feel free to come say hi!
This pattern (along with the frog one) will be up in my Etsy after the festival is over-- and any extra kits, if I have them 🦋

The latest piece you posted, the Biology was never Binary. Beautiful work. Is that wire wrapped with floss or left bare? Also, you super talented at embroidery! I've loved watching your projects and it makes me want to get better.
Thank you! <3
It's embroidery over soft macramé cord and then the ends that extend outside the hoop have been wrapped with a thin copper wire. Here are some progress pics that give you a clearer view:

last stretch for this mini-panel wip~ I'll probs make the border of the patch in the same yellow gradient!
while I wait for water soluble paper to dissolve and the patch to dry, I also started on the 2nd mini-panel embroidery!
y'all I am SO proud of those hands!!
I haven't decided on what color gradient to use for the 2nd one,,, maybe reds or purples? :0

I am fully assuming that Link and Zelda will wed post-TOTK. What do you think the wedding outfits will be like? Traditional royal pomp, or something more suited to the adventurous couple that is close with the common people?
fun fact about me! i am one of those bitches who has had a wedding pinterest board since they were 10 years old and i also work for a wedding planner. so. not only have i already designed zelink wedding outfits but i also designed their engagement ring and i know exactly how the entire thing goes from proposal to reception. lmao

okay so I just got back from the Drawfee live-show (incredible I had such a good time🩵🩵🩵🩵 probably gonna be talking about it for a while)
and I wanted to post pics of my Todd (From Mario) shirt that I made last week because everyone was so nice and seemed to like it :D
this was the shirt straight off the embroidery hoop before I realized that Todd's hat looks a little like a penits and had to fix it lol
and this is it the night of the show!
(bonus my brother and I took a picture with Julia):

allo~ newbie question for ya, if u don't mind: on your amatonormativity project with all those fishies, how do you get them so thicc? Is the core a different material, a base, or did you really wrap a pound of thread on each side of the canvas?
P.S. the way you mix techniques (crochet & embroidery & beading etc) is very cool https://www.tumblr.com/theenbyroiderer/742927691538448384/just-a-reminder-from-the-archives-in-honor-of-aro?source=share
No problem, always happy to answer questions! And thank you!
Those thicc fishies are made by first filling the outline with bullion stitch, then satin stitching over that.

Embroidering the Magnus Archives
Here is a google doc masterpost of @kirikiri1 episode Hoops, in order. Just in case anyone listening to the Magnus Archives would like to follow along. Some episodes haven't been done (yet?), and so I've left them blank.

Got to show off my embroidery work at a family party tonight and while it made me indescribably happy to explain my passion project to everyone, I probably looked like this while doing it

Question for my embroidery pals:
I'm making a piece for a baby shower and thought a water colour effect would work well for fill but I've no idea where to start.
This is the image I've cobbled together from various bits (still some tweaking to be done with the text but that's not important).
My tentative plan is to print the image on stabilizer, do the stitch outline and then wash to remove stabilizer. (I am aware that stitching first may cause issues later but for Reasons idc to go into I cannot paint first then stitch)
Then I would need to locate paints but idk what to use that would be colourfast and give the proper watercolour effect.
I also need a way to stop the paint from bleeding and have no idea what would work for that. White crayon maybe?
Any guidance is appreciated
