Can you write Elliot with a reader who’s overworking themself, sleep deprived but also kinda stubborn and a brat about taking a rest?
🥺🐀
a/n: this post refers characters from stardew valley expanded so minor spoilers ahead? enjoy!
★ rest for the best - elliott x farmer ★
★ elliott is no stranger to sleep deprivation and delaying rest; he’s a writer after all and during his bachelor days, he would pull at least two all nighters a week
★ however, he manages to improve his sleep and get a good schedule, always going to bed at 10pm and waking up by 6am or sooner, a nice 8 hours of rest
★ after marriage and moving into the farmhouse he notices that you tend to overwork yourself during the first week of each season, running around the town and the farm as you attempt to hoe, sow, and water your seeds
★ at first, elliott tries to help you out, he offers to water some crops and so on but you always deny his help, saying that you had everything under control
★ yet, by the third day of the season, you're barely able to hold your watering can, elliott has to intervene
★ he picks you up and sets the watering can aside, carrying you back to the farmhouse and into your shared bedroom; he lays you on the bed and informs you that you're on bedrest until you can hold up the watering gun again
★ you protest, saying that the season's demands were particularly high, but elliott is having none of that! he reassures you that he will take care of everything and get help from the other farmers, such as andy and susan
★ you whine to elliott about being put in bed jail but the sleep deprivation finally catches up with you and you fall asleep before you could try to escape
★ elliott spends the remainder of the week setting up the crops for the season with andy and susan helping him out, he ends up learning a good thing or two about the farming life that he didn't know before
★ by the time you recover, elliott has the fields all ready for the crops to flourish, he does a pretty great job under andy and susan's guidance
★ you thank him and promise that you would work on your sleep schedule, to which elliott gives you a peck on the lips and reassures you that you will be able to do so, as well as to remember that rest is vital to being a successful farmer

So, um.
I know I had y’all vote to help me decide what I was going to write.
But a thing happened.
That this is called “I have been binge watching Law and Order: Special Victims Unit for months and now I’m on season nineteen and I cannot help myself.”
A few weeks ago (a month??), I took a break from SVU to binge watch Stranger Things in like 2-3 days before going back to Olivia Benson. (When will Elliott, my love, return from The War??)
But, um. Doing so made my brain come up with a lot of ideas and this SVU!au (crossover? Idk what to call it, it’s four am and I am SLEPY.) kind of just happened. Without my permission, it took over. Which means I ended up writing this one (that had the least votes, my bad friendos!!) instead.
So, to make my brain happy, I will be posting a sneak peak of “No. No. It can’t be you. I trusted you.”
I’m going to write the winner of my poll, “You’re going to make me fall in love with you.” / “Keep it in your pants.” and I’ll post that before I actually post my AU that is nearly ready.
But, uh. Yeah. Sneak peak time.
Steve and Eddie had been dating since about a month after Nancy had dumped him, after a party where she drank so much, called everything bullshit, and confessed that she was just pretending to love him. He had been in a pretty dark place and happened to know someone who sold weed. It turned to friendship almost instantly. Then one night, when they were both pretty high, one of them had leaned in and the other hadn’t moved again.
It was electric.
It was everything.
It was the eighties and they lived in a small town. So, they were stuck having to pretend that they were just friends. Stuck having to express their love in secret because of all the small minded hicks that they couldn’t wait to get away from.
“We’re going to graduate this year, Eddie. And we’re just going to disappear to somewhere no one knows our names.”
It became a countdown.
Nine months.
Eight months.
Seven months.
Six months.
Five months.
Four months.
Three months.
Two months.
One month.
Three weeks.
Two weeks.
One week.
In between each line of the countdown, there is a little snippet of their lives where they are talking about where they should move to. After the one week, it cuts to ten years later when they find each other again (that’s all I’m going to say. It’s all I can say without giving away the plot).
Because this one is an SVU based idea, I hope it goes without saying that y’all need to read the CW before continuing when I do eventually post it.
Okay. I love you and I’m incredibly sleep deprived so I go night night now.

Drop
Again, this is quite heavy for this blog. Please heed the warnings! DM me for a summary, if you don’t want to actually read it because of any of the tags (I’ll make a post if anyone asks on anon). Stay safe, friends.
CW: disordered eating mention, alcohol, heights (inc. character struggling with fear of heights), angsty and dark thoughts, relationship problems being discussed, very brief but intense death ideation, mention of gore/injury (described by character, not real), danger of falling, mention of broken glass, emeto, food mention, blood mention
 ___
Shayne had hoped the bad thoughts would take longer to find him, but they were waiting for him just on the other side of his bedroom door in the townhouse. For the past two weeks, he’d eaten three meals a day with Charlie at his parents’ house, even if some of them were small, and he’d been imagining himself keeping it up once he got back, but now that he was alone, the shame and the feeling of helplessness that had always surrounded food came flooding back.
When dinner time rolled around that evening (he knew it was dinner time because his stomach remembered), he felt Madelyn’s phantom breath on his neck and ignored the hunger. He crawled into his bed and tried forcing himself to sleep before his body could realise it was being deprived.
But god, he was just a needy, greedy little black hole of a creature, a sap on the world so long as you’re not fulfilling your duty, an insult to flesh and bone, nothing but darkness and hunger and waste and –
Shayne sat up in bed and squeezed his head between his hands. He’d gotten so used to Charlie’s constant presence and warmth, that he was already feeling unbearably lonely without him.
Stupid Charlie, he thought, feeling a flutter of affection in his chest as he pictured Charlie’s head resting on his shoulder. And then, a sinking feeling.
In the absence of Madelyn’s voice in his head, Shayne realised how… quiet everything else was. Ryan and Nancy were probably still travelling in Europe, but Elliott and Felix should have been here.
He’d half-expected Felix to come pounding on his door around this time, raving about whatever he was cooking and asking questions about Shayne’s Christmas. But the fact that the townhouse was this silent was extremely unpleasant.
Shayne let himself into the hallway, pausing and holding his breath, scanning for any signs of life. He could have done this easily if he’d been in a forest, but houses and urban settings were always trickier. He picked up a flash of something, a thrum of a heartbeat, but it sent his head spinning and he had to stop concentrating. It seemed to be coming from Elliott and Felix’s room, even though he hadn’t heard a single stir in there since he’d gotten home.
“Hello?” he asked softly, pushing the door open slowly.
He wasn’t surprised that it was cold in the bedroom beyond, but a breeze took him right in the face. Papers had been gently blown across the floor, and a vase holding a fake rose had been knocked from the windowsill onto the floor.
Nobody was in here. This wasn’t where he’d sensed somebody.
The view of the town was incredible from this height, four storeys up. It was around dusk, so there were lights blinking to life in houses and office buildings even as Shayne stood by the open window and rested his hands on the sill.
“Elliott?” he called out quietly, leaning his head outside. The distance from his face to the street below was dizzying.
“The fuck do you want?” came a curt reply, which made Shayne look to his right. The moulding on the outside of the building was about a metre wide, enough for Elliott to slump against the brick wall with a glass balanced on his knee and a bottle grasped in the opposite hand.
His hair was loose of its usual ponytail, as well as being greasy and dishevelled from having fingers constantly dragged through it. He was scraping it back with his left hand at that very moment, eyes glazed over as he looked up at the sky.
“When’d you get back?”
“Uh, today. Earlier.” Shayne could hear how high-pitched his voice had gotten, but what could he do about it? He couldn’t stop wondering how Elliott’s weight wasn’t forcing him to slink further down, legs pulling him over the edge. “El, what are you doing? Someone’s gonna see you out there.”
“So?” Elliott shrugged. “Maybe I’ll become a Reddit legend.”
“I have no idea what that means,” Shayne sighed. “What’re you doing out there? Are you okay?”
Elliott blinked, the motion slowed by the darkness and an unknown amount of whisky. “Come here, and I’ll show you.”
Shayne would have really preferred not to, but it didn’t look like Elliott was coming to him anytime soon. He turned around and sat up into the windowsill, slowly shifting his legs around so his feet touched the moulding. He breathed hard, tried not to look at the fall below, and told himself that if it could hold Elliott’s weight, it could hold his.
“You know, inside, there are floors and – and chairs,” he stammered, edging closer to Elliott before lowering himself to a seated position. He didn’t slump like Elliott though; his hands were pressing the concrete, stiff as pillars. “Lots of nicer and safer places to sit and drink whisky.”
“Mmph.”
The words barely seemed to reach Elliott’s ears.
“So, what’s up?” Shayne asked.
When Elliott smiled, it was a sick thing that twisted the lower half of his face without touching the rest. He looked past the rim of his glass and out across the town. Shayne wouldn’t have been surprised if his glare had caused a sudden flash of lightning to tear through the clouds.
The silence seemed to press in further, the sound of traffic fading away as though a bubble had descended on the rooftop.
“Where’s… Felix?” Shayne already had the feeling that the answer wasn’t going to be good.
“I don’t know.” Elliott pursed his lips. “Think he’s left me.”
A cold stone seemed to drop through Shayne’s stomach. He couldn’t begin to imagine what the equivalent of that felt like for Elliott. “What? Why?”
After a slight roll of his eyes, Elliott reached into the pocket of his trousers, fidgeting with something before pulling out a ring. He twirled it between his thumb and his figure, examining it up-close for a second before holding it out.
“Oh.” Shayne eyed the ring for a moment before reluctantly lifting one hand – one of his supportive pillars – and letting Elliott place it in his palm. “I take it he said no?”
“No, he didn’t say no. He didn’t say… anything.”
“Is that – is that better, or worse?”
“Fuck if I know.”
“Sorry, El.” Shayne gulped and stared at the ring, only managing to hold onto it for a couple of seconds. Elliott had already taken his eyes off of it, his attention snagged by his drink again. A slight breeze across his skin made Shayne shudder, as though it could possibly throw him off balance. Mostly, it was just cold and unpleasant. “Here, take it back. I’m gonna drop it or something.”
“Why would you drop it?” Elliott asked with a grunt, reaching to pick up the ring. His fingertips lingered a moment as he realised how badly Shayne’s hand was trembling. “Fuck, man, are you okay?”
“Mmm.” Shayne put his hand down next to him again, fingers aching under the pressure he was putting on them.
“What’s up?” Elliott scoffed lightly. “You gonna hurl?”
“Maybe,” Shayne admitted. “I’ve never been up this high before.”
“Jesus, you’re such a drama queen.” Elliott planted a hand down and pushed himself to his feet. His movements were as swift and graceful as a panther, even while drunk, and he seemed to tower unreasonably high over Shayne as he straightened his back and stretched his arms over his head. He almost reached the roof tiles that jutted out over the top floor. A strong gust of wind could probably have toppled him, especially considering how much whisky was probably flooding his system.
Elliott’s feet made a scraping sound on the concrete as he lowered his arms, laughing deep in his chest.
“Elliott, stop! Just sit the fuck down.”
“Why?” Elliott’s voice was no stronger than a breath. He closed his eyes for a worrying amount of time, his shoulders swaying slightly as his arms hung by his side like weights. “Would you care if I fell?”
Shayne got a sinking feeling, for what seemed like the hundredth time in ten minutes. “What kind of question is that?”
“Do you think I’d die, actually?” Elliott perked up again, unnervingly so. He opened his eyes and lifted his glass slightly. He craned his neck to look over the edge of the moulding. He hummed, like he was pondering whether he should buy a pair of shoes in black or in brown. “I’m fairly sure that fully-developed vampires can only die if they’re burned alive, but… I wonder how thoroughly that’s been tested.”
“Elliott –”
“I’ve had a decent run. In human years, I’m almost seventy, you know? That’s longer than a lot of people end up with…”
Shayne didn’t know if he should have been trying to grab Elliott to stop him from teetering so close to the edge, or if that would make everything worse. He could barely breathe, let alone think.
“It’d still fucking hurt either way, though.” Elliott threw back the last mouthful of his drink and smacked his lips. “Bones poking up through my organs, probably bits of me exploding on impact –”
“Elliott, seriously, you’re just being an asshole now, just sit down!”
“Would it make him come back, if I was injured like that?” Elliott demanded, his golden eyes piercing and intense. He was beginning to lapse into clumsy arm gestures, his voice rising higher with emotion. “Would it put everything into perspective, Shayne? Would it fix everyone’s problems if I was maimed? Or if I was completely and utterly de–?”
Shayne’s stomach turned, his hands flying to his face, as the whisky glass shuddered and dropped out of Elliott’s hand. It disappeared from view, faster than the sick grin could fall from Elliott’s face.
The shatter was tiny; Shayne had to really strain his ears to hear it. He watched Elliott blink tears down his face and slowly lower himself to his haunches. He opened his mouth wide, like he was going to scream, but no sound came out.
“Hey,” Shayne whispered, letting go of a breath he hadn’t known he’d been holding. He stretched out one hand, trying to gently catch Elliott’s attention. “El. Elliott.”
Elliott didn’t move. He stayed crouched, one hand gripping the edge of the moulding, his face hovering over the side. When he blinked, tears fell and missed the building completely, dropping straight to the sidewalk that was four storeys down.
“El, come on.”
All the way down to the sidewalk –
“Elliott.”
He turned his head, swaying a little, and for a moment Shayne thought that was it, that he was gone, he’d lost his balance. Shayne sat forward on his heels, instinctively making an uncalculated grab for his cousin’s hand, but luckily Elliott was reaching back too; two fumbling hands happened to fumble in the right directions at the right time.
“Fuck,” Elliott whimpered, steadying himself on his feet again. Shayne could feel both their pulses in their joined hands, Elliott’s almost explosive. “We should… We should probably get off this thing.”
“Oh, you think?” Shayne snapped, though he clung to Elliott’s hand like a toddler to a parent as the two of them edged back over towards the window. He hopped in through the window first, turning to make sure Elliott was following him. The taller man hit his head on the open window, making the frame shudder as he shut his eyes and winced.
“Shit, are you okay?” Shayne held out a hand to help him make it the rest of the way.
“I’m fine, get off me,” Elliott growled, shoving Shayne away from him and storming over to the bed.
“Fuck heights,” Shayne murmured, pulling the window shut with more force than was probably necessary. It released some of the fear that had been pinching his nerves though, and his head felt clearer. “We should probably go down to the street and clean that glass up before someone –”
“Shut up.”
Shayne shrugged, gazing at Elliott as he sat at the edge of his bed, head resting in his hands. “Is – is your head okay, or –?”
“What’d I just say?”
“You said to shut up, but how the fuck do you expect me not to ask you if you’re okay? You almost fell off the fucking… roof!” Shayne smacked his hand on the bedpost as he walked by, partially on purpose. “Fuck you, Elliott.”
“Calm down, man,” Elliott snarled, his head shooting up from his hands. “Come on, you seriously think that’s the closest I’ve ever come to dying?”
“You can’t…” Shayne stopped by the door to the hallway, eyes lowered. “You can’t do shit like that, you can’t talk like that. I don’t care if he’s left you, if the world’s falling to shit, if you think nobody cares about you being around, you can’t…”
A sob broke the air, and Shayne froze, turning to watch as Elliott hunched over at the edge of the bed, his head ducking and disappearing from his silhouette.
“I’m… sorry.”
Having never heard such a heart-wrenching sound from Elliott before, Shayne found himself hurrying back to the bed. He sat down next to Elliott and let him sink his head against his shoulder and cry, his body convulsing with what seemed to be days’ worth of pent-up agony and sadness. Shayne felt utterly useless; he couldn’t guarantee that everything would be alright with Felix, because how the hell could he possibly know that?
“Ugh, fuck,” Elliott exclaimed, his shoulders jerking forward with a sob so deep that it sounded more like a hiccup. He clamped a hand over his mouth, the other lifting to tentatively cover the front of his head, where he’d hit it on the window.
“You okay, man?” Shayne asked hoarsely.
Elliott shook his head, face paling even in the dull light.
“You gonna hurl?” Shayne murmured, wondering if the irony would be lost on Elliott in his current state. He was already getting to his feet, remembering that Felix kept a metal bin under his desk.
“Mmmph.” Elliott nodded furiously, only releasing his mouth from his hand once Shayne had thrust the bin at him. Saliva glistened on his lips as he hovered, breathing heavily. His eyes were red and swollen and he was still gently kneading his head.
A deep retch rolled his shoulders and made him duck his head further into the bin. Shayne grimaced and almost put a hand on Elliott’s shoulder before remembering that that would have been a terrible idea. He stood by the desk instead, arms folded around his waist, flinching in time with Elliott’s horrifying gagging.
When Elliott’s face resurfaced, he was gasping and spitting out mouthfuls of thick bile and saliva, tinged only slightly with the golden hue of the heavy liquor.
“Jesus,” he choked out. “How hard did I hit my head?”
After a disbelieving glance towards the window, Shayne scoffed. “Your head? What about the god-knows-how-much whisky in your system right now?”
“Alright, whatever,” Elliott groaned. He pawed at a thick strand of his hair that was stuck to the side of his face and trailing into the bin itself, tossing it over his shoulder. Just in time too, since the next retch was deep and abrupt and dragged a rumbling belch up alongside a gush of foamy alcohol and stomach acid.
Between gags, Elliott let thick liquid drip from his mouth into the bin, body shivering with the effort it took to bring everything up. It went on for so long that Shayne was certain Elliott was going to fall asleep with his head in the bin.
Eventually, Elliott sat upright, grabbing a tissue from the nightstand and dragging it across the lower half of his face. He tossed it into the bin and reached for another one.
“Want me to get you some water? Or, like, blood?”
“No.” Elliott sighed deeply, dropping the second tissue into the bin before he began to scoop his hair back from his face and neck. “I’ve been drinking on an empty stomach for two days. I wanna go get chips.”
“Chips?”
“Yes. Can you grab one of Felix’s scrunchies from his side?”
Shayne did as he was asked, mostly in a daze, rounding the bed to get to Felix’s bedside locker. There was a pile of hair ties sitting alongside a handheld cassette player.
“Can you even eat?” Shayne asked, leaning across the bed to hand one of the hair ties to Elliott. “You know, with all of your full-vampire shit going on?”
“Seriously, you little asshole?” Elliott snapped, his voice scratchy and weak. “My life is falling down around me and you’re trying to deny me chips?”
Shayne quickly shook his head, a little bit grateful for the bloodcurdling glare that Elliott was currently treating him to. He got up from the bed again as Elliott tended to his hair. “Let me just grab a jacket.”

Ten Interesting Vietnamese Novels
The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen
It is April 1975, and Saigon is in chaos. At his villa, a general of the South Vietnamese army is drinking whiskey and, with the help of his trusted captain, drawing up a list of those who will be given passage aboard the last flights out of the country. The general and his compatriots start a new life in Los Angeles, unaware that one among their number, the captain, is secretly observing and reporting on the group to a higher-up in the Viet Cong. The Sympathizer is the story of this captain: a man brought up by an absent French father and a poor Vietnamese mother, a man who went to university in America, but returned to Vietnam to fight for the Communist cause. A gripping spy novel, an astute exploration of extreme politics, and a moving love story, The Sympathizer explores a life between two worlds and examines the legacy of the Vietnam War in literature, film, and the wars we fight today. (Amazon.com)
Crossing the River by Nguyen Huy Thiep
Crossing the River presents a wide range of Nguyen Huy Thiep's short fiction, both realistic stories in contemporary settings and retellings of folk myths that serve as contemporary parables. When Thiep's stories first appeared in the 1980s, they set off a chain of debate, not only within intellectual and political circles, but also within the society at large. Typically, the struggles of his characters were about survival, not survival in the context of war or revolution, but survival in the context of the emotional and psychological strength it takes to live within the harsh confines of post-war Vietnamese society. Thiep captured the emotional quality of Vietnamese life in a way no other author had done, and his importance can be recognized today by his enormous influence on younger writers (GoodReads)
Against the Flood by Ma Van Khang
Against the Flood caused a sensation in Viet Nam when it was published in 1999 because of its controversial description of sex and politics in that country. The plot revolves around a writer, Khiem, whose book is banned and who is publicly censured by his contemporaries, while the tangled relationships in his own circle involve drug-trafficking and adultery. His lover, a pretty and intelligent woman, is slandered and sacked from her job. She leaves Hanoi and becomes involved in opium traffic in an attempt to investigate it, but is arrested before she can report the activities to the police. His wife, a smuggler, has an extramarital affair and dies during an abortion. Khiem and his lover are finally reunited after a long separation. The novel presents a vivid picture of contemporary Vietnamese society, examining the dramatic tensions inherent in a changing society, and is imbued with the themes of friendship, love, and betrayal. (Google Books)
Dumb Luck by Vu Trong Phung
Banned in Vietnam until 1986, Dumb Luck--by the controversial and influential Vietnamese writer Vu Trong Phung--is a bitter satire of the rage for modernization in Vietnam during the late colonial era. First published in Hanoi during 1936, it follows the absurd and unexpected rise within colonial society of a street-smart vagabond named Red-haired Xuan. As it charts Xuan's fantastic social ascent, the novel provides a panoramic view of late colonial urban social order, from the filthy sidewalks of Hanoi's old commercial quarter to the gaudy mansions of the emergent Francophile northern upper classes. The transformation of traditional Vietnamese class and gender relations triggered by the growth of colonial capitalism represents a major theme of the novel. (AbeBooks)
Night, Again by Linh Dinh
A couple's scheme to get rich by killing their father backfires, leaving them in charge of a cripple. In heaven, a baby, dead through neglect, tells his playmates: "Life down there is just one long sleep." A young soldier, saved by a stranger, can never again find her to thank her. A man carries a massive clock. Using a variety of techniques and styles, in this collection of twelve short stories contemporary Vietnamese writers—edited by poet, short story writer, and novelist Linh Dinh—show us Vietnam through their own eyes. Night, Again breaks with the traditional views of the Vietnamese that have focused on the Vietnam War and turns our attention to postwar life in Vietnam. These writers present impressions--at once strange and familiar--of postwar realities. (Barnes&Nobles)
Beyond Illusions: A Novel by Duong Thu Huong
Beyond Illusions opens with a woman named Linh staring at her sleeping husband, Nguyen, with a mixture of bewilderment and disgust. She strains to remember how she, as a young student, once linked her destiny to his. A scruffy yet romantic professor of literature, Nguyen had captivated Linh with his youthful optimism and lofty moral values. During their first years together, the couple struggled to make ends meet in the penury and deprivation of postwar Vietnam. But when Nguyen left academia to become a journalist, he confronted the harsh reality of the Party and the crushing weight of its bureaucracy. Torn between his outrage at the rampant corruption and hypocrisy of the Communist party, and the need to provide for his family, Nguyen ultimately surrendered to the propaganda machine, censoring his own articles and fabricating statistics to keep his job. Having recently discovered the truth about her husband, Linh's heroic vision of him is now shattered and she decides to leave him rather than betray their shared principles. But soon, she too must confront the realities of a country where power has corrupted even love, where fear has silenced all but the bravest, and only flatterers and opportunists survive. (Google Books)
The Sacred Willow: Four Generations in the Life of a Vietnamese Family by Duong Van Mai Elliot
A finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, Duong Van Mai Elliott's The Sacred Willow illuminates recent Vietnamese history by weaving together the stories of the lives of four generations of her family. Beginning with her great-grandfather, who rose from rural poverty to become an influential landowner, and continuing to the present, Mai Elliott traces her family's journey through an era of tumultuous change. She tells us of childhood hours in her grandmother's silk shop, and of hiding while French troops torched her village, watching while blossoms torn by fire from the trees flutter "like hundreds of butterflies" overhead. She makes clear the agonizing choices that split Vietnamese families: her eldest sister left her staunchly anti-communist home to join the Viet Minh, and spent months sleeping in jungle camps with her infant son, fearing air raids by day and tigers by night. And she follows several family members through the last, desperate hours of the fall of Saigon-including one nephew who tried to escape by grabbing the skid of a departing American helicopter. Based on family papers, dozens of interviews, and a wealth of other research, this is not only a memorable family saga but a record of how the Vietnamese themselves have experienced their times. (GoodReads)
Paradise of the Blind by Duong Thu Huong
Paradise of the Blind follows a non-linear, vertical plot depicting the development of Hang, the narrator, through several life-changing events. An adult Hang in the 1980s receives a telegram stating that her uncle, Chinh, is ill and that she must visit him in Moscow. Throughout her journey to Moscow she recounts significant events in her childhood. As she looks back on the past, she realizes it is the steadfast resolve toward familial duty that has made her family so miserable. She realizes this does not have to be her fate. While she is waiting to leave Russia for Vietnam, she sees a group of young Japanese students who are happy and laughing and free. She longs to be Japanese, of a race that does not carry the same burdens as her people. She resolves to do what it is that makes her happy—because her duty to her mother, who would sacrifice her own daughter to help her corrupt brother—is not happiness. (BookRags)
Listen, Slowly by Thanha Lai
A California girl born and raised, Mai can’t wait to spend her vacation at the beach. Instead, she has to travel to Vietnam with her grandmother, who is going back to find out what really happened to her husband during the Vietnam War. Mai’s parents think this trip will be a great opportunity for their out-of-touch daughter to learn more about her culture. But to Mai, those are their roots, not her own. Vietnam is hot, smelly, and the last place she wants to be. Besides barely speaking the language, she doesn’t know the geography, the local customs, or even her distant relatives. To survive her trip, Mai must find a balance between her two completely different worlds. (Google Books)
The Lover by Marguerite Duras
Set against the backdrop of French colonial Vietnam, The Lover reveals the intimacies and intricacies of a clandestine romance between a pubescent girl from a financially strapped French family and an older, wealthy Chinese-Vietnamese man. (GoodReads)

OUAT/CE Convention Guidelines/Tips/Advice
Hi, everyone! So, a lot of convention newbies have been asking me for tips, and advice surrounding conventions mostly focused on OUAT cons/Creation Entertainment hosted ones lately and I decided to make an entire post about it to save me time and to help other people who don’t ask or are too shy to! Basically, a Dummies Guide to Conventions. If you have any further questions, please reach out to me! I would love to help you have a better experience! I'm going to go over a couple of different things here, as detailed and thorough as possible, just based on my experiences. I also shared my personal packing list. I hope you find some of this useful/helpful, and if not, I hope I’ve managed to make you smile or even giggle at some points!
1. Scheduling and Preparation:
Firstly, I always compare conventions to concerts. If you've ever been to a concert and/or a meet-n-greet or signing, I like to think cons work similar to that. Mostly because I went to my first convention with no idea of how things worked, and because I've been to so many concerts/signings/m&gs, I was fine. I looked at conventions as if the panels are the concerts and the photo ops and autographs are the m&gs.
You should be following the schedule. Creation usually releases the schedule the Wednesday before the convention, so you'll have several days to figure out what all you're doing. I always, always go over it and plan out what I'm going to do, how much time I'll have in between events and sometimes, if events are overlapping, you have to pick and choose, do one thing one day and another thing on a different day. If you're attending for just one day, sometimes you might just have to go about what you want to do more, find a way to make it all happen without stretching yourself too thin or ask a volunteer or official Creation employee for help. I always create my own schedule at home and make a list and follow it.
2. Be on Time, Be Prepared:
For panels, photo ops and autographs, any event taking place, I always recommend getting there five minutes before hand. I can't tell you how many photo ops I've almost missed out on because I saw the photo op was running until a certain time and decided I'd show up in the middle of it. It does not matter what time it is scheduled to start and end. Sometimes it starts as soon as the celebrity is ready and if there is a line, meaning a matter of a few minutes, it can end earlier in advance, and sometimes it takes forever and goes over time. If you miss it, you miss it, and there's nothing that can be done. I can say off hand, I have nearly missed Colin O’Donoghue’s duo with Chris Gauthier and Sean Maguire’s duo with Rebecca Mader from not being fast enough or waiting until the last minute to get there.
If you have autographs and photo ops at the same time, I always recommend doing the photo op first. Autographs take more time, and you're less likely to miss out on those than what you are with the photo op. If you are unsure, ask a volunteer or Creation employee. If you have autographs that came a part of a package and autographs that didn't, sometimes you need to ask which person you should meet first, and they'll help you and tell you the best thing to do, and they will make sure you get to experience both.
If you are staying in a room at the hotel and need to grab something in between events, always ensure that you have at least fifteen minutes. You need to allow five minutes to get to your room, five minutes to grab what you need, drop stuff off or touch up on something, and five minutes back. If you are hanging out in your room because you have free time, always allow ten minutes to get to where you need to go. I recommend showing up at any of the events five minutes prior, as stated before, to either settle in your seat in the main panel room or to get in line and prepared for your photo-op/autograph. You also need to allow five minutes extra to walk and/or get onto an elevator to get where you need to go. Sometimes hotels and cons are busy, and everyone is trying to get somewhere at once, and you need to wait for a couple of minutes.
If you are carrying around props, autographs, or anything you don't need to have with you the entire day, take your spare time to drop it off in your hotel room or vehicle. I will always double-check my schedule and plan out how much time I'll have in between each activity. Sometimes you need to have certain props for photo ops, and you'll have two panels and three photo ops and one autograph session happening right after the other and won't have the time to run up to your room before that one event. Bring those with you, and when you have a break, take them back up to your room and exchange them with whatever you need for the next chunk of activities. You'd be surprised at how heavy even the smallest thing can feel after you've been carting it around for hours.
I always recommend attending the night before/early check in. That way, you can sleep in longer, you have what you need and won't have to worry about a thing during the actual convention days. I also recommend buying or swapping out any autographs or photo op tickets then and there, so you don't have to worry about it. Sometimes lines are very long the day of, and you just don't have enough time for it. It gets very stressful. If you see any merchandise, you like and really want to have, buy it. You never know if it'll still be available the next time you check. I especially recommend this for any extra photo-ops or autograph tickets, t-shirts, or autograph prints. Also, if there is something you need or want to get your hands on and there is no line, take advantage of that! Lines can go on forever, and you don't want to waste time standing in it then eventually having to leave because there's something else going on that you need/want to attend.
This is also good for exploring the area and learning the wear-abouts. I always use the night before check-in to locate the main convention/panel area, photo op rooms, autograph rooms (if any), VIP lounge if you have that, and M&G room if you have any of those. Know where you need to go and how long it will take you to get there. You cannot risk it. Normally, they will keep everything in one area.
3. Money
Save money! Save lots of it! Conventions are not cheap, especially if you want to have a fantastic experience and a busy schedule! It is possible to have a cheap experience, ex. if you’re only going for one person, but it is tough as hell. Extra money isn't a necessity, but a high recommendation. Bring a good amount of money with you, (cash is the better option just to avoid fees at ATMs). You would be surprised at how much you might grow to like an actor and how much you want to meet them after seeing their panel or them at the Friday Night Karaoke or Saturday Night Concert. Sometimes an actor is attending more than one day, you meet them the first day, and you just have to meet them the other. This happens to me a lot. Make a list of all the possible actors you might want to meet, on what days, and an estimate of the amount of money you'd be spending on them all. This has also helped me greatly.
Make sure you always have your ID with you! Especially if you won an auction, such as a private M&G or VIP. Also if you want to buy admission, extra photo ops or autographs!
Online fees really suck, but you know what sucks more? Missing out on an autograph or photo op with your hero, Lana Parrilla, Colin O’Donoghue, and the once-in-a-lifetime Captain Swan or Outlaw Queen duo because it sold out beforehand. If there is an actor you are just dying to meet, it is better to be safe than sorry. I recommend buying any additional tickets for the ones you want to meet the most, especially if they play a major character/have a huge fanbase/following. For example, Colin O'Donoghue, Lana Parrilla, Jennifer Morrison, Emilie de Ravin, Jared Gilmore and Rebecca Mader. Anyone falling along the lines of Beverley Elliott, Lee Arenberg, Michael Coleman, Gil McKinney, Raphael Sbarge or anyone who portrays a more-minor character or B/C-list, you should be fine holding off until the convention. When a photo op or autograph is listed as sold out, they aren't very likely to add any more.
4. Taking Care of Yourself/Health
Conventions run all day, and there is almost never a break in between activities. Make sure you force yourself to eat and drink. Eat a lot at breakfast and at dinner, because the days and nights are so jam packed, you are never bored, and you most likely won't have any time for lunch or a late night snack before bed. If you're starving because you didn't eat or weren't hungry, it won't be fun because it might be awhile until you'd have the time to eat something filling.
I say this because one time I came close enough to passing out at a Taylor Swift concert because I didn't eat a thing and it scarred me. I don't want to have a repeat of that, and no one should come to the point of losing their sight and half of their hearing because they are depriving themselves of food and water. Especially at a convention.
I understand the nervous butterflies of meeting your favorite actor and your excitement for the day, but the risk just is not worth it! You do not want to pass out before you get the chance to hug Colin O'Donoghue and find out why Michael Coleman calls him Captain Sexy Irish Eyes! Even if you don't want to eat or aren't hungry, try to get something in your system. If you can, bring snacks and a drink with you to have throughout the day, they allow them, and they always have complimentary water on hand.
Please try to get as much sleep as possible. I know better than anyone that the OUAT conventions can run from nine am to midnight and it'll be a bit before you get settled into bed and have to get up at five am the next morning.
Remember to shower every day. You have no idea what kind of germs are on you and need to be scrubbed off. Not to mention, you are around strangers and actors, and the last thing I'm sure any actor or stranger wants is for you to touch them when you haven't showered in days. You would feel the same exact way towards them.
And lets be real, you want nothing more than for Colin O’Donoghue to think your hair is shinier than the look in King Arthur’s eye whenever he touches Excalibur. Not to mention, you want him to think that you smell like the fresh scent of a springtime meadow just after the flowers have bloomed. Hygiene is very important!
Remember to brush your teeth and to check them after you eat! The last thing you want Lana Parrilla to smell is bad breath or that tuna sandwich you had for lunch. You don't want Jennifer Morrison to see kale stuck in your teeth, either! Gum and breath mints are your friend!
5. Staying at the Hotel
This is something I highly recommend, no matter where you live. It is so helpful to be able to have a room right there in the same building or a place you can go to touch up on your hair and make-up, drop things off, pick things up, quick changing, and taking a quick bite of food or a drink. I understand how expensive these hotels are, they are pricey and five star fancy and that's because no one would host a convention inside of a lower-graded hotel.
I always recommend using the Creation discount and booking the room right off the bat. You can get a room for lower than 150 a night, versus normal asking price, which could be several hundred. Either that or I'll go through Hotels.com which will be around the same price or a few dollars more and I might even get a free night! It is not a necessity, but it sure is helpful!
This could go into the packing section, as well, but I'm going to say it here. I recommend bringing a couple of different outfits with you, between tank-tops, short sleeved shirts, long-sleeved shirts, sweaters, pants, skirts, and shorts. Just make sure you have a variety of options. Sometimes it gets super hot at conventions. For example, I cosplayed Emma Swan at OUATNJ last year, and I was sweating to death in my leather jacket and my boots and had to change because I was uncomfortable and I did not want to hug any actors while drenched in my sweat. Sometimes you're cold. When I attended Denver, they had it so cold inside of the hotel; I was shivering and shaking throughout the entire day, and eventually had to run and grab my sweater for autographs because I couldn't even stand it anymore.
Sometimes you just need more choices because you decide last minute that you want to wear something else and you don't want to wear what you originally planned on anymore. Sometimes you want to cosplay, then you get to the con and just aren't into it, or you decide last minute that you do want to. You just might want to wear a couple of different things as well and have quick changes for individual photo ops. You don't have to go excessive with extra clothes, but I did have at least two outfit backups, and I ended up going with different than originally planned at both OUATNJ and OUATDEN.
Make sure your suitcase isn't super full because you might want to buy something! Either that or it is possible to win a free merchandise certificate. I won a $200.00 certificate at Denver and brought home ten shirts!
6. Panels
Basically how the panels work, is you'll find your seat or find something available in the General Admission area, I do recommend showing up an extra five minutes early to find a seat in that case.
If you have any questions, you are more than welcome to go up to the microphone on either side of the stage and/or get in line and ask them. People usually only ask one question and I, along with everyone else, ask that you try to keep it that way, so everyone gets a chance to ask their question. If you have any more questions, you can get back in line or ask the actor during a signing, M&G or photo op. Con attendees, volunteers, employees and actors also prefer that you refrain from just complimenting the actor or sharing a personal story. Please save that for a semi-private moment between you and the actor. Ask them a question!
You do not have to stay for any panels you don't want to. It is usually a full house for super popular actors like Colin, Jennifer, and Lana. Also Rebecca and Emilie. People will sometimes line up for questions before their panels even start!
I personally hate walking out as a panel is starting because of disliking a certain fandom, actor, character or leaving in the middle of one to get to another event. I’ll always pick and choose and leave immediately after the one to avoid being a distraction or just not go. I just feel as though I’m drawing attention to myself by getting up in the middle of the room and walking out or being disrespectful and I feel very self-consious. I also feel terrible if I have to block someone’s view or disturb them by trying to get past. However, I don’t mind arriving a little late to a panel. This is a personal choice/preference and opinion, it is not something you have to do.
7. Photo Ops
First thing is first, as soon as you come into the room, they will ask you to place your bags or anything extra you have onto one of their tables. Sometimes you might need to hold off until there is an empty space, depending on how many people are allowed in the room and how much stuff they have with them. They will ask you to put away your phone or sometimes they will allow you to keep it in your pocket, as long as you don't touch it. If you have a badge or anything, I recommend taking it off for the photo.
As far as photo ops, those goes by really fast. You have enough time to ask or explain a pose to whoever or say something fast like, "Hey, I love you," or this and that. If you take too long, they'll step in and ask you to speed it up, and that can be kind of embarrassing, especially if the celebrity is telling you to, which doesn't happen very often. If you want a conversation, your best bet is getting their autograph. However, if you get a photo op with a minor actor, they'll give you more time to talk or do whatever with them, depending on how many tickets are sold and how long their photo op is scheduled to last.
However, sometimes, if the actor talks to you, whoever is running the photo op won't say anything to them and rush you. I talked to Beverley Elliott, Lee Arenberg, Karen David and Raphael Sbarge for a minute or two at their photo ops before!
If you are talking to an actor and they're genuinely listening or talking to you, the volunteers/employees won't rush you, but they might step in if you two are taking too long. Just focus on the actor. If anyone gets mean, it's likely the actor will give them a look or tell them off.
From my own personal experience and stories I heard, I know Colin O'Donoghue, and Sean Maguire will hug just about every single fan they meet. They will talk with them, and they don't give a damn about what anyone says to them about it, even if the staff are pissed at them. Especially if that fan is physically upset over meeting them.
If you are nervous, I think it really helps to stare at the celebrity and grow used to their presence, if you refuse to, when you finally go up to them, it can get a bit rocky/messy/emotional versus run smoothly. Go over what you want to say to them or your pose idea several times in your head as you wait and watch them interact with others.
Learn how they act with other fans and study their body language and movements. Are they more reserved and collected, do they seem a bit particular when it comes to PDA, (but still kind, nonetheless), like Emilie de Ravin and Jennifer Morrison? Are they quiet and shy and blushing a lot, yet kind and willing, like Colin O'Donoghue? Are they loud and rambunctious and talkative and willing to do absolutely anything with fans, like Rebecca Mader and Lana Parrilla?
Another thing to remember is, even if they say no poses, just ask the celebrity anyway and don't listen to the volunteers or staff unless they give a legitimate excuse. For example, Emilie de Ravin, Robbie Kay, and Jennifer Morrison aren't big on poses and/or PDA or are just very shy. Some just don't like to do them and that’s okay! They should never feel pressured or as though they have to give up their comfort for your satisfaction. If this is the reason, sometimes it's best to just listen to the staff, or you can go out on a limb and ask anyway. I've come to find, usually, the actors will say yes. They are actors, they are fantastic about snapping into character, and some of them just love poses and prefer to do them! The way I see it, you are paying good money for this photo, you deserve to have exactly what you want, and you should do something fun besides just standing there, unless it’s what you prefer.
For example, Robbie Kay said no poses but was fine with hugging, Emilie de Ravin said the same thing, but she was fine with hugging above the waist. I also have an experience where I was told no poses and asked Emilie to dangle the Rumbelle teacup as if she was going to drop it. Someone came up and said no poses, Emilie gave them a defiant look, then smiled at me and did it anyway. For another example, I wasn't sure whether or not Greg Germann and Rebecca Mader would wear my Disney Mouse ears, but I asked, and they did anyway!
Keep in mind there is a possibility of them turning you down; however, they won't be mean to you. For example, Greg Germann said to my mom and I that he would not be comfortable with making finger guns, but he was very kind about it and suggested something different. They love their fans, and they're here to meet you and accommodate you, especially because you paid money to have this special moment with them. The last thing they want to do is disappoint you or hurt you, but you need to meet them in the middle as well.
Keep in mind that just because you are paying money and they are famous, does not mean that is a free pass to do whatever you want or touch them without permission. Always ask before you hug them, or touch them in any way. You might know them and/or their career well but you are a stranger to that actor, and it won't be any different to them than if a stranger came up to you on the street and just grabbed you. Be considerate, be respectful. You need to think of them as much as yourself. Do not ask for any kisses or for them to pick you up or the other way around, unless the actor suggests it themselves, of course. Someone could get sick or hurt.
With that said, if you have a complex pose idea that you might find trouble in explaining or you might get too warped up in your nervousness and excitement of seeing that actor, do print out a picture and bring it. They're trained professionals, they'll know what to do and will snap right into it. The convention does ask that it's nothing that could make a mess or that involves getting on the floor, due to time limits, and those wishes should be respected. Do not bring your phone in with the hopes of showing the celebrity that way. I've witnessed one person try to do that for a photo op and they said no, but they let them explain their pose idea to the actor rather thoroughly to make up for it.
As far as duo photo ops go, those go by quickly, faster than solo photo ops, which might be hard to believe. It's just so hard to greet two actors at once and sometimes you only have time to explain a pose or pop right in between the two or more. It takes more time to interact with two or more actors than what it does with one, especially if more than one fan is coming into the photo. However, there is a plus. If that actor is friends with the other, their presence might be calming to the other, and that one actor might be more opt for something fun and out of their comfort zone!
The most important thing you have to remember, whether you're shy, nervous or scared, that celebrities are just people like you and they're probably as nervous as you are! Colin O’Donoghue is fifty times as nervous to meet you than what you are with him. Trust me. I’ve heard him stress this many times to myself and to others. With that being said, anything you want to say to them or tell them, just do it, because they will listen and you will regret it if you don't. If you leave an impact, they are more likely to warm up to you throughout the convention or remember you! This is always a goal of mine, while staying genuine.
8. Autographs
When it comes to autographs, they almost always happen in the auditorium and at the end of the day. The one autograph session I attended that did not happen at the end was Colin O'Donoghue's, but that is only because he had a plane he had to catch earlier than usual, so his schedule was different than everyone else’s. Anyway, they will call you by row or by ticket number for you to get your autograph. It will be a much longer waiting process than a photo op. However, this is a good thing. It means the cast is taking their time with their fans. You should never take a long wait for granted because you will get the same treatment and it is SO worth it.
If there is any cast member you really like, I would highly recommend getting their autograph because it gives you the time to talk to them and have a decent conversation. My autograph experiences are always better than my photo op ones. I prefer to get autographs for my favorites solely because I can talk to them. However, the only downfall is that you can't get or take any pictures at autographs. So when you get both, you have the best of both worlds.
If you're getting an autograph with someone you didn't get a picture with, usually in the case of complimentary, I recommend printing out a picture of them at home with photo paper. It might save you money because they'll charge $6 for prints at the convention, on top of the autograph price. Those will sell out fast, so it won't be fun if you decide last minute to get an autograph. You have to have something for them to sign on hand or you have to buy something, nothing is given to you.
I also recommend having a backup of something for an actor to sign just in the case of the photo op not being printed out on time/missing the photo op. If you got a photo op with them and you think it turned out so bad you would be embarrassed if they saw it, the backups will come in handy, that has happened to me on several occasions.
I think this covers the majority of questions I have been asked over the years. I also recommend googling things to pack and things to expect at cons or little con hacks. Look at several sources and articles; everyone has their own original and very handy piece of advice to offer. Do research! Remember above all to be kind and courteous to everyone. Do not rag on any actors or fans publically where anyone can hear you, especially a fan or actor attending that very convention. Do not put an actor in a horrible or awkward position or ask them anything too personal or considerably redundant or offensive. The most important rule is to treat everyone as you want to be treated, stay in your lane (mind your business), and you will have a wonderful time!

Hài Kinh Dị 2 – Scary Movie 2
This sequel to a box-office sleeper hit that spoofed teen slasher flicks takes its cues from haunted house and possession films, particularly The Haunting (1999) and The Exorcist (1973). Although many of the first film’s main characters were homicide victims, Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Anna Faris return anyway to “re-possess” their roles for this follow-up in which four students are invited by their professor (Tim Curry) to his haunted mansion, Hell House, for a weekend sleep-deprivation study. Providing the sleep deprivation, however, is a series of murderous, supernatural goings-on. Scary Movie 2 co-stars Tori Spelling, Andy Richter, Christopher Masterson, Kathleen Robertson, James Woods, Chris Elliott, and Natasha Lyonne.

Introduction by Chris Elliott….
Living in Northern Cyprus through the COVID-10 Pandemic and now see lockdowns beginning to be lifted, we all have individual thoughts and feelings of the strain and danger we lived under and regular visitor to the TRNC, US Dept Cultural Diplomacy Award holder and Miss Oklahoma, Demetra George Mustafaoğlu writes from her home in LA about her feelings.
Readers Mail…. From Demetra George Mustafaoğlu...
WHERE IS AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL?
Where do I begin to explain the pain we are suffering right now in AMERICA? Why now during the COVID-19 crisis? How did we come to this? Can we recover from the Pandemic and the Trump virus that attacked one after another? Can the disaster the world is viewing in disbelief really be my America?
Young Demetra
My grandparents embarked on a great journey in 1923 setting their sights on the Promised Land called the United States of America hoping for a new and better life. My relatives would not believe what has occurred here in the last 3 years under the schemes of this puppet president and his sycophants and I’m glad they have passed.
I grew up in Oklahoma and was born on an army base while dad served his country as a corporal at Fort Sill. It was church for us each Sunday, and there and as in school, we ran drills to protect against tornadoes and nuclear attacks that might come from a Soviet onslaught.
As I reminisce on those days now, I wish life had remained that carefree!
Today the world fights an unseen enemy as a Pandemic once again attacks mankind whether through mishap, purpose or overbuilding and history is repeating itself. In tandem the boiling pot of racism has spilled over after a long time of unresolved systematic racism and finally imploded with the senseless death of George Floyd. AND SO Black Lives Matter was born.
The repeated murder of unarmed black people by police has caused horrific outrage. Police Officers weren’t held accountable for the misuse of force! There has to come a change in our culture and the laws that allow police to kill black and brown people without consequences!
The miscarriage of justice is so undeniable that people have taken to the streets to express their anger and disdain for the actions of these officers. Americans are marching in anger, disgust, pain and demand justice for all. In 80% of the instances, violent protestors have been hired from distances and sent in to incite the crowds, attack law enforcement and damage businesses to invite looting. “I CAN’T BREATHE” the signs read and in California subsequently law enforcement is banning the choke hold which deprives oxygen and blood to the brain, as in George Floyd’s death.
Frankly I believe the masses have also erupted against this sitting president who has fomented hate through his tweeting and support of White Supremacists. Having been locked up for months due to COVID-19 and the ever mounting loss of jobs here has simply added fuel to the fire.
Our vantage point is high above Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, California where we have seen groups of peaceful protesters but are on the direct paths to Santa Monica, Westwood, and Beverly Hills and directly into downtown. So the sirens of paddy wagons and cruisers racing to scenes of unrest where the masses are protesting are constant. Many nights we raced to catch glimpses of the cavalcades of 20 vehicles or more heading to “hot spots”. Now it has become the “new normal” and we try to sleep through it.
A few days ago I posted photos on Facebook of the National Guard convoy deploying to the Federal Building just a few blocks from us and at that juncture everything changed. Access was blocked to all cross streets including those leading into the University of California LA and the UCLA hospital and medical buildings. Police and unmarked cars were stationed at all intersections for a mile and the entrance to the famous 405 freeway was shut down and blocked to deter a massive protest from damaging the Federal Building and looting businesses nearby.
The speakers in our building announced to remain safely inside and stay away from the windows for our safety!
Somehow I knew I’d lived this once before as Mehmet and I honeymooned in Cyprus in 1974 and the sight of fatigue wearing soldiers in military vehicles brandishing weapons is a sight, (and the fear of guns raging) I can never erase from my mind!
Minneapolis’s Attorney General finally announced arrests for murder of all 4 policemen involved in the travesty and the country is trying to INHALE; not without damage to property, more deaths by firearms, broken bones, teeth, heads and hearts all across our land.
In 2016 I took a knee in support of Colin Kaepernick. I understood him. I’m sorry people didn’t get his message because of patriotic, political pandering and posturing of the time. It was NEVER to discredit our military or flag. He kneeled to try to save lives and repair our system, peacefully. Now professional sports team owners have awakened to the message and are embarrassed they mistreated him so badly. Remember Trump fuelled that too. Millions of Americans of every colour, race and creed have taken to the streets to make their voices heard and people from across the pond have joined in the cause in support of BLACK LIVES MATTER truly uniting man.
I hold faith that a resolution is coming but this man in the White House whom psychiatrists call a Malignant Narcissist is fanning the flames of hate and division. Our generals and past presidents have recently called him out on his threat to deploy our military. I’m sure our enemies are watching with bated breath for Trump’s next move from the Oval Office. Staging a photo opportunity before a church, Bible in hand like a decapitated skull, and tear gassing non-violent protesters to clear his path will be on everyone’s mind come November. And let’s not forget all the deceased Americans by then close to 200,000 he allowed to be culled.
What we CAN count on is that he will try to act with little regard to law, precedent and our constitution!
I can only pray on both knees that we survive this harrowing time in America and can begin to build a new day TRULY UNITED.
I send all my love to friends and family in The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and can’t wait for the day when I can escape the madness here and be with you all again in that Peaceful Jewel in the Mediterranean
God bless you all and Stay Safe
