I'm a freakin' gossip columnist. Or perhaps a gossip specialist on a few celebrities? Hmm. 🤔

Anyway!

To the anon I got earlier about Glen Powell's future works!

He'll be starring in A24's revenge thriller, Huntington, which will also star Margaret Qualley and Ed Harris. He'll be in John Lee Hancock's Monsanto film, which sold out of Cannes, and will feature Anthony Mackie and Laura Dern. He'll be attorney Brent Wisner that takes on Monsanto. He's going to be in a secret J. J. Abrams' movie, which will apparently also feature (or at least in talks with) Jenna Ortega. He'll be starring in a Halloween Special for 'Family Guy' on Hulu. He's going to be in the remake of Running Man (and apparently Sydney Sweeney will be in it too?). He's also going to be in a remake of Backdraft (which I did not know until I went sleuthing; watch the video that starts at 1:10). And of course, he's going to return in Top Gun 3.

But! That's not all!

He's also doing a mini-series based on Eli Manning's sketch of Chad Powers. It's for Hulu.

Oh and let's not forget: he's working with Ryan Murphy to create a musical on Broadway!

A quick peek on IMDb revealed he's also doing a kind of podcast story? Geez, Glen. When do you breathe?

He's also going back to college to finish his degree.

My earliest memory of being scared is hearing “The Ballad of Sweeney Todd” from the original 1979 cast recording. I was both terrified and fascinated by Len Cariou’s portrayal. As a kid, I learned all the lyrics to songs like ‘Johanna’ and ‘My Friends’ and would sing them constantly. The 2007 film by Tim Burton only deepened my obsession and it became my dream to play Sweeney Todd in some capacity. The “Bleeders” music video fulfills this wish in so many ways. A huge thank you to @jensennoen and his incredible team for creating my favorite video we have ever done, to @erikron for helping us craft the song, to my BVB brothers for their passion, creativity and constant hard work, our label @spinefarmrecords for their full fledged support and belief in the concept, and to all of YOU for making it possible for us to do this in the first place. Lance Reddick as Zeus. Amazing honestly. Such a shame he passed last March, he would have been amazing to see the next few seasons. Can't say much except rip Lance.

Next up, Toby Stephens as Poseidon. idk much abt him, haven't seen him anywhere, he looks like an older Glenn Powell. Yep that's it, imma go watch both top guns again

Jay Duplass as Hades. ok I like it Picasso. Once again. Don't know him from anything but he seems ok. Very Hades-y like.

Now onto the man, the myth, the legend. Dionysus. Played by Jason Mantzoukas, I fucking adore this choice, ik some people wanted Jack Black, and that's amazing too, but so far, he's killing it.

And now, Adam Copeland as Ares. *big sigh* we all know what I think about Ares, and idk if Rick is gonna fix some of the things I saw people say Ares said or did in the books, I sure hope so because- *entire fucking essay* anyway, I'm sure he'll be great, but I won't love him more then Kevin.

idk why they listed Chiron here but it's amazing casting so far. I watched all 50 episodes of Young Hercules and I think Ryan Gosling should have a brief cameo just for funnsies.

they have not cast Aphrodite yet, but yeah. I will seriously not see Aphrodite as anyone other then Alex Tydings but alright. Artemis and Apollo have also not been cast as of 6.1. but it would be so funny if someone who's connected to other Greek mythology focused projects somehow gets cast, I mean, look at Timothy.

My man went from Xena, to spn, to Percy Jackson in a matter of 20 years that's nuts. Really looking forward to seeing him cause, yk. Eli.

Haha, I literally JUST realized this two minutes before this ask hit my inbox. I like the Perry Mattfeld of it all (an unexpected surprise!), but ehhhhh this whole Chad Powers thing - are we trying to pretend that Glen Powell can pass for a college student? I didn't watch the Eli Manning skit so I only vaguely know the premise of this show but it 100% sounds like something that would've aired on SPIKE TV in the 2000s. Once Steve Zahn got involved, Glen Powell should've pivoted to making a Captain Geech & The Shrimp Shack Shooters series instead. Give the people what they want!
