2 weeks later.... Friday
Eli: There’s a refresher and a donut waiting for u at the L&D desk ms I don’t like coffee.
Kiyana rolled her eyes with a grin as she texted Eli back. Josh narrowed his eyes as he watched Kiyana smile down at her phone. He tried to ignore it but when she started to actually giggle at the fucking phone he snuck around the kitchen counter and tried to get a peek at who she was texting but she caught on and quickly locked her phone and set down on the counter.
“You need something?” She asked, rolling her eyes when his eyes glanced down at her phone. “You got anything planned today or yall just gonna chill?” She asked, grabbing her lunch out of the fridge. When she turned back around he had her phone in his hands.“HEY!” She called out, snatching her phone out of his hands. “What are you doing?”
“You changed your password?” She narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest.
“Why were you trying to go through my phone? We are div-”
“Divorced. Yeah you keep bringing it up.” She rolled her eyes and grabbed her bag.
“I get off at 9. Will y’all be good until then?” Josh nodded, his jaw was clenched tight as he kept thinking about how Kiyana changed her password to her phone. Kiyana rolled her eyes at his attitude before walking out of the kitchen and towards the front door.
“I love you!” She called out to the boys and Josh heard them call it back before the front door slammed shut.
“Love you too.” He muttered before going to join his sons in the living room.
“So you at Dr. Daniels seem to be getting close.” Debra , the senior nurse stated as she eyed the drink in Kiyana’s hand. Kiyana shrugged
“He’s cool.”
“Cool enough to be talking about asking you on a date.” Debra said, smirking when Kiyana snapped her head towards her.
“No, we’re just friends.” Denial isn’t just a river in Egypt. Her inner voice said.
Debra rolled her eyes. “Honey, I helped deliver Elijah forty-something years ago and that man still doesn't bring me coffee everyday.” Kiyana bit her lip and looked down the hall to where Eli was talking with another nurse. “Look, I know you just got divorced but shit, take the chance. You don’t have to fall in love with him.” Kiyanna sighed and shook her head, it was way too soon for her to even think about going on a date with another man. Her divorce was still fresh, like an open wound.
“ I think Key already talking to somebody else.” Josh blurted out as he, Trinity and Jon sat in their backyard, keeping a close eye on his two older boys who were swimming. He had put Kairo down for a nap.
“Well you were fucking someone else while y’all were married so who cares.” Trin said, smacking Jon on his shoulder when he elbowed her in her ribs. “I mean what did you expect? Kiyana is very attractive and now she’s single.” Trin shrugged.
“Don’t kick the man while he’s down Trin.”
“Yeah, damn Trinity. I thought we were better than that.” Josh tried to joke but Trinity was still very pissed off at him. “I know I fucked up. But it’s only been two weeks.”
“How long is she supposed to wait? Until you’re ready for her to move on?” Trin rolled her eyes. “Leave that woman alone. Her life is no longer a concern of yours..” Josh didn’t say anything as he brought his attention back to his sons. How was I supposed to get her back if she’s moved on already?
“Fuck him” Shanté muttered. “Fuck him and his stupid mullet. It’s 2024, the eighties called, they want their hairstyle back.” She said giggling at her own joke. Nikkita rolled her eyes from where she was sitting on their couch.
“Tae, I been told you to stop messing with that man, She might've divorced him but he still loves her. You can’t compete with that.” Shanté flipped off her best friend and took another swig from the wine bottle they were passing back and forth.
“He told me he never wanted to be with me, Nikki.” Nikkita didn’t respond back because.. Duh. It was pretty obvious. Josh only hit Shanté up after the RAW tappings on Monday’s and as soon as he would fly back home to Pensacola he would block her, then start the cycle all over again the next Monday. Nikkita felt bad for her friend but she had also warned her the first time Shanté had told her she hooked up with Josh.
Kiyana was Josh’s high school sweetheart and from experience, Nikkita knew that Shanté never stood a chance.
Kiyana let out a sigh of relief as she clocked out for the day. She can finally go home and be with her boys for 3 whole days. Just as she was about to walk out the front door she heard her name being called. She turned and smiled once she saw it was Elijah.
“Hey.”
“Hey,” He said back slightly out of breath. “I ran all the way down here. Though I missed you.” He smiled at her.
“You just caught me.” She said, feeling herself blush under the heat of his stare. “Wassup?”
“I wanna take you out tomorrow night.” Kiyana blinked. “If it's too soon. I apologize, but I really like you Kiyana.” She clutched her purse strap tighter as she felt the butterflies in her tummy start to rumble around. Kiyana only got that feeling with one man before and she had just divorced him two weeks ago.
Elijah sighed as she just stared at him. “It’s too soon isn’t it?” Kiyana quickly broke out of her stupor and shook her head.
“No,” She cleared her throat. “ I would love to go out with you”
“Yeah?” Eli asked. “Bet, do you have a babysitter for tomorrow?” Kiyana nodded. “Okay, tomorrow at 8. Text me your address.”
Kiyana bit her lip as she watched him run back into the hospital, the butterflies more intense as she thought about their date tomorrow night. She let out a groan and let her head fall back, looking towards the sky. She was so fucking screwed.
Kiyana got her first date since the divorce.. Josh about to be soooooooooooooooooooooooooo fucking petty 😭, y'all just don't understand.

redacted audio headcanons: elliott & sunshine edition
im in my elliott & sunshine era rn it seems. i cant stop thinking abt them. so heres some of my hc for them! the sunshine hc’s are specifically for my oc (charlie, he/they), but im keeping it neutral so others can apply it to their oc’s/sunshine hc’s maybe :0
!! CW FOR MENT. OF SUNSHINE’S ACCIDENT. ALSO SOME 18+, MINORS DNI !!
; t4t elliott & sunshine. i don’t make the rules, i just enforce them
; following that thought, sunshine, geordi & guy were all elliott’s caretakers after he got top surgery
; elliott & aaron’s last name is hawkins, but elliott is technically elliott lewis-hawkins. his last name is hyphenated because ‘lewis’ was the name of his first foster family (they were the best one he had had at that point, but when the mom got pregnant they realized they couldn’t support two kids), so he uses their name to remember them by
; sunshine has a prosthetic leg from their accident. they walk with a forearm crutch or sometimes use a wheelchair during extra bad pain days. they also have lots of small scars from the glass across their body, mostly arms
; elliott has called sunshine “sunshine” since they first met basically. but, when guy heard sunshine call elliott “dreamboat” one random day, he made the joke that their ship name would be “daydream”. since then, whenever guy talks about the two of them, he refers to them as “daydream” (ex: “yeah i’m just in a call with geordi and daydream, what’s up?”)
; they have matching yellow lego charms that make a heart when you put them together (like this but yellow)
; (18+) they both have horrible oral fixations (canon but still). they both could live between each others thighs. the 69 position is one of their favorites because of that
; sunshine and cutie used to go to school together, but after cutie’s powers manifested they kinda stopped hanging out. sunshine never really liked cutie tbh. they aren’t aware that cutie is empowered
; sunshine and treasure are cousins, and treasure was the first person sunshine told about their (completely obvious) crush on eli when they realized they liked him
; eli’s favorite color is lavender, and also loves lavender scented things (he has the lavender & iris spray from bath & body works and practically douses his bed in it. it smells divine btw)
; elliott had a wattpad account. what he read on that site is between him and god
; elliott is a lord of the rings nerd. you mean to tell me the guy who made a whole-ass fantasy d&d session dreamscape with his partner featuring a full-ass dragon isn’t a tolkien nerd??
; elliott also loves d&d. he hasn’t played a lot, but has enjoyed it when he did; he once dm’ed a one shot for his friend group and it was a crazy ass story. he likes worldbuilding and character backstories the most
; sunshine collects cds from thrift stores. even from artists they don’t know anything about
; besides their house, elliott and sunshine have also discussed getting animals together. they decided on a dog named thor and a cat named mercury
; honey is elliott and aaron’s cousin. they don’t know elliott is empowered. honey and aaron are the two cousins who would disappear when they both got overwhelmed at a party
; elliott loves watching competition shows like “blown away”, he eats that shit up
; (18+) sunshine is a big reader, and absolutely eats up all different kinds of genres. sometimes elliott likes to “punish” them for not paying attention to him by using him mouth on them while they read erotica & edge them until they finish a specific number of chapters
; elliott hates tuna. like, haaaaates tuna. can't stand the smell, taste, texture, anything about it. the only thing he can handle about it is when its alive and intact; he can't even handle it in sushi
; in pjo, sunshine would be a child of apollo, and elliott would be a child of hypnos
; sunshine didn’t tell the group about the accident until they had a panic attack over a car crash in a movie. they had told elliott bits and pieces before that (and obviously he had seen their nightmares), but they felt as though they didn’t want to burden elliott and the rest of the group with their trauma
; OK SO. elliott and sunshine’s favorite movie collectively is “tangled”. i mean its their absolute fave. they watched it together on their first official date, it’s their comfort movie, they have matching jewelry of the sun symbol, theyve cosplayed/gone as flynn and rapunzel a bunch of times for halloween, etc. like these guys LOVE tangled. and apparently there’s a new disney ride of the lantern festival in disneyland tokyo. so, in a world where the balance didnt separate them, and theyre together and happy and healing, i like to imagine they decide to visit a disney and go on the ride if they have it there. and id like to imagine that when theyre in the lantern section, they both reach into their pockets and pull out boxes. and, with tears streaming down their faces and the biggest fucking grins imaginable, they propose to each other (and ofc they both say yes) <3
; the couple that are stoners together stay together <3 elliott likes to shotgun sunshine
; elliott is always the big spoon. he likes knowing hes protecting sunshine in both their dreams and in real life
━━━━
im so normal and regular about these two i promise (<- lying). i will add more as i see fit. also i might have a fic idea based on one of these headcanons, hehe :3c
#i love these two sooooooo fucking much guys#daydream my fucking beloveds#fun fact. the dog & cat thing was inspired by something an ex and i wanted to do when we lived together#its a fond memory for me so i decided to add it to them as well#dog.txt#redacted audio#elliott#sunshine#redacted elliott#redacted sunshine#redacted aaron#redacted geordi#redacted guy#redacted honey#redacted cutie#redacted treasure#redacted headcanons#redactedverse

Jeff Davis, make it make sense.
The first timeline related thing we’re given is that Allison died “15 years ago”, making season 3 “15 years ago.”
Then we learn that Eli is 15 years old. Meaning he was theoretically alive during seasons 4, 5, and 6?? Where was this infant, cause I sure didn’t see him.
If he’s biologically Derek’s son then we have to assume Braeden’s his mum? But I really don’t think so. And yes, I know it’s entirely possible for Derek to have hypothetically adopted him when Eli was a kid but Scott said that the last time he saw Eli, he was three. So three years after Allison’s death, VERY soon after the end of the show.
Now, Eli Hale’s character might be the only thing I actually enjoyed about the teen wolf movie but if you’re going to make a badly hidden attempt at a Stiles stand-in as Derek Hale’s son… PLEASE give us some kind of explanation. We were literally given NONE. Nothing about how Derek and Eli came to be father and son. Timeline wise, Eli honey I’m sorry, you don’t really make much sense.
Anyway, I know the movie definitely was not made for this much analysis and pedantics (yes that is a dig), but if you’re giving a key character a child, you want it to make sense at least a little.

༘˚⋆𐙚。⋆.✧˚ two ༘˚⋆𐙚。⋆.✧˚
“Your mama is Doctor Daphne Huh?” Tobi asked as soon as they were in front of Daphne Huh’s office, a place he visited often whenever he drove his little sister Bianca whenever she got sick. He recognizes her as one of the softest people he’s ever met in his life, as whenever he and his brother brought Bianca to her, they made sure that Bianca wasn’t the only one getting checked. She always made sure Tobi and Leon were okay too. After all, they were technically kids too. Kahit na kasama naman nila noon ang mga yaya nila ay sila sila pa rin naman ang nagaalaga sa kanilang magkakapatid, just with the assistance of their nannies.
Jas nodded happily at him. “Di ba halata?”
“S’ya ang nagoopera kay Bianca when she was a baby,” he smiled at the memory fondly. He was very young back then and he didn’t know the concept of business and money, all he knew was that a complete stranger, some professional in this white prison, saved his baby sister. And that, forever, he will cherish.
Jas looked surprised at his sudden openness to share things about his family. It was something she never really got to do to the guys she got involved with before. After all, alam naman nilang lahat kung anong nangyari sa pamilya nila dati.
“I suppose hindi ko na kailangang ikwento ang buhay ko,” she chuckled, letting him in Daphne Huh’s office after she managed to open the locked door with her spare key that her mom gave her, knowing her full well that she’ll come here whenever she needs some comfort. “Ibinalandra rin naman sa balita ‘yung nangyari kay Lolo at Lola.”
“I know what happened to your grandparents,” he mumbled, finding himself sitting on one of the chairs at the office while Jas climbed up on the examination table, trying to get comfy on the mattress laid out on it. “With you, I don’t know so much.”
Jas turned her head towards him, looking at him, surprised once again that a guy was interested enough to ask about her. She found it so rare nowadays that a guy would ask about her, most of them would just go straight to wanting to bring her to bed, which for more than she liked to admit, she agreed to.
“K’wento ka. Ano? Magtititigan lang tayo dito? Kanina ka pa tahimik sa sasakyan.” Tobi jokes, standing up to pull his chair closer to where Jas was lying down.
It made her heart race that he even managed to joke about it as if he really wanted to enjoy the moment that it’s just them two.
“Kung ayaw mong pagusapan ‘yung nangyari kanina, p’wede naman na magkwento ka nalang ng kahit na ano,” ani ni Tobi, looking at her directly. He doesn’t know what was different all of a sudden, why she suddenly looked…different. Palagi naman niyang nakikita si Jacynthe dahil magkaklase sila ni Kyle but he never saw her up this close before. She was actually prettier than he thought she already was.
“What do you want to know?”
“Anything, how are you and Doktora Huh?”
“Well, it’s just me and Mama Honey since the accident happened kela Lola,” she started. “I mean, it’s always been just us two. Dad was irresponsible and was rarely in the picture, so I don’t really consider him as someone I can rely on. It’s always been just me and Mama Honey against the world.”
“Why honey? I know Eli calls you honey rin–”
“Oh my god, is that hard to figure out? Huh — Honey.”
“Eh?” Tobi laughed at the realization. It was right under his nose and he’s never really realized that it was just that simple.
“Lola called mama ‘honey’ when she was still here and it just stuck I guess,” Jas smiled.
“Buti close kayo ano?” Tobi shrugged, realizing how busy Daphne Huh must be but still managed to make such a good relationship with her. Hindi naman ganoon sa kanila. He thought maybe it was rare that parents could manage having a good relationship with their children and making a living kasi kela Amir n’ya lang noon iyon nakikita and as for Santi, Eli and Cielo, it was the same as them. “Med field pa naman si Mama mo.”
“She used to bring me here noong nagiintern s’ya noong med school days,” she sighed at the memory.
Daphne Huh managed to make it out of med school and the rest of her pediatric surgery program on the hefty trust funds that she was given when both of her parents passed. Daphne and Jacynthe, who was no more than 3 years old back then, had to live off of it until she was able to work for them. Good for her, she had a best friend who will literally stand by her through thick and thin, which allowed her basically free babysitting by Belinda Valiente whenever Philo left Alistair with her mother. Jas basically grew up in the hospital with Alistair, Philomena Yoon’s son, also her ex-boyfriend by the way. They spent most of their time together in the pedia ward or following around Belinda Valiente, the President and CEO of Valiente Medical Hospital, in white little coats that the president had managed to be custom made for them. Halos tatlo na silang magulang niya noon, magmula noong mawala ang Lolo at Lola n’ya—Belinda Valiente, Philomena Yoon and her mama. And although there was still that sense of longing to have a complete family, like her classmates had from kindergarten, it was rarely ever thought of, because she knew she had more than enough love from those three women who raised her in the very halls that they just walked by a while ago.
So it was all new to her when at the age of 7, her dad decided out of nowhere that he wanted to be back in the picture. It was the first time in her life that she wanted to be something, she didn’t know exactly what, but at least something worth enough for her dad to stay and not abandon them again. But that will to be back in the picture was quite short lived, along with all the other chances that she and Daphne Huh gave Jadon Kang.
Her dad always left just when she was beginning to warm up to him again until they both had enough. Every time Jadon Kang would find another woman to be with instead of his own family, he left—always without hesitation. Daphne Huh had to draw the line because Jacynthe was growing up and it wasn’t the kind of family life that she wanted for Jas and so they cut him off. Every now and then they would be invited to family gatherings in Isabela, where Jadon Kang was originally from, but it wasn’t for more than at least twice a year. Otherwise, Jas refused contact with her paternal side of the family
“It’s a good thing na hindi ka napressure mag-medicine, ano?”
“Bata palang ako nagdodoktor-doktoran na ako,” tawa ni Jas, pointing at the little lab coat framed in her mom’s office. “Napagod na ako bago pa ako abutin ng college. Plus, Doktora Belinda made sure na hindi kami magmemed kung hindi namin gusto.”
Tobi could not help but feel jealous. His parents’ relationship has always been okay. They’ve been a complete family ever since, but it did not feel like that at all. Maybe that’s why he ended up sleeping around, to feel something else rather than feeling lonely. It did not change much though, the moment he finds himself lonely again and the excitement has already faded out, he leaves whoever girl settled for just sex with him.
It really is crazy how fucked up your parents can make you. But it’d be hard for them to admit it when they’re confronted about it. They’d start to believe that doing their “best” is a good enough reason as to why they managed to fuck up their kids’ mental health.

@writersmonth Prompt: Day 24 - Summer
Fandom: Teen Wolf | Sterek WC: 1.5K
AO3
XXIV. Summer | A Different Kind of Summer
“It’s summer, Scott.” Stiles whined, eyes still focused on the task at hand. He could complain while still working, he’s a great multitasker, thank you.
“I know, Stiles..” Scott responded, bored. It was more than clear that this wasn’t the first time Stiles complained about the same thing.
“We should be doing something for summer. Summer” Stiles complained again, ignoring Scott’s answer and taking the scissors out of his best friends hand so he could use them.
“Yeah? Like what, man?” Scott asked, simply sitting back and waiting for Stiles to give him the scissors back.
“Like surfing.”
“We literally did that once. You broke an ankle”
“And it was an experience! We should be having experiences.”
Scott looked at his project and then back at Stiles. “Why are you doing Mars? I’m doing Mars.” He stated, holding his red polystyrene ball for Stiles to see. Stiles stared at it, and then at his.
“You were supposed to be doing Jupiter!” Stiles complained loudly, exasperated. “Mine has glitter, bro, it’s staying. You can throw yours away or turn it into Jupiter.” He decided, handing Scott the white paint so he could try and cover the red up.
“You know, when I thought of us in the future, I thought of us at the beach, maybe with our children, trying to keep them from drowning. I never really thought we’d be making your son’s project because he forgot. I should have seen it coming.” Scott commented, while he started with the white paint. There was no use complaining, he had known Stiles for over 20 years, which means he knew what to expect once Eli joined their little family. And he was sure Stiles would be stuck doing pretty much the same for little Maddison, once she learned how to do anything other than cry. “How are you distracting Derek this time?”
His question was met with silence. Scott ignored it at first, thinking Stiles was just hyper focused on the glitter and didn’t hear him, but then he noticed his best friend was frozen in his seat, staring at him.
“Stiles…” He repeated, quietly, the way he did when a hurt animal was brought to his clinic. “How are you distracting Derek?”
“I knew I was forgetting something, damn it!” Stiles screamed, running into his son’s room. “Eli! Are you done writing the report? Your papa is off work….shi…snickerdoodle!” Stiles immediately corrected, grimacing at the only word he could think of. “Like five minutes ago, he will be here in ten, and so help me God, I will feed you to the wolves, son of mine.”
Eli looked at him and then at the probably 10th page he was writing. “I am not.” He said, in a panic.
“Honey, it’s just a report on the solar system, why do you have 10 pages?”
“Did you know that Saturn’s rings are 90% water?” The kid asked, shrugging.
“Pal, I’m so glad you are learning. But finish that report, uncle Scott and I will be done with the model in like five seconds.” He gave his son a thumbs up, and headed back to Scott. “He’s absolutely not done.” He said, out of breath.
“Stiles, this is literally his last day of camp.”
“He said he had everything under control!”
“And you believed him?!?”
“Okay, I see where I went wrong. Just, finish it, dude! I will start hanging all the planets on the shoe box.” Stiles said. Scott wasn’t sure he took a single breath in that whole sentence, but he had more important things to do at the moment, so he focused on how to attach Jupiter’s rings. The planet had turned slightly pink, so he had covered it in white and silver glitter. It looked, quite frankly, like an abomination. It was supposed to be done by a six-year old, so he decided it was appropriate. He did not dwell on the fact that that was his best attempt at 30.
“Stiles?” Derek called from the front door. “Eli?”
“Coming, big guy!” Stiles yelled, snatching Jupiter from Scott’s hand to glue it to the model as well. “Is it done?” Stiles panic-whispered at Scott, pointing at the shoebox. Scott tried his best to remember the order of the planets and then simply nodded at Stiles, while grabbing everything on the table and sticking it in the craft box that Stiles usually kept somewhere in the attic. They could sort it out later.
“Stiles, why does the house smell like paint and glue?” Derek asked, walking into his living room. Where Scott was still holding two glitter containers, and Stiles had somehow glued his fingers together and was having some kind of hand to hand battle with 2 color papers. Derek just stared at them for a few seconds. “You and Eli promised you were done with everything, and we were having family dinner today.”
“We are!” Stiles defended immediately. “And we can’t have family dinner without Scott, so here he is. For family dinner. Nothing else.”
“Scott is here without his 5 month old baby and very sleep deprived wife, for family dinner?” Derek deadpanned, raising an eyebrow at Stiles. Scott felt the urge to look at the floor like a scolded child, but he stopped himself, turning to Stiles. Scott always did find Derek scarier than Stiles ever did.
“Yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying, baby!” Stiles said cheerfully, hiding the hand with the stuck color paper behind his back. Scott reached quietly to remove it and throw it in the craft box. Stiles gave him a thumbs up from his back.
“Yes, you know, family.” Scott said lamely. “I was going to bring Kira and Mads, but Stiles and I wanted to watch DC. Mads doesn’t like DC.”
“Yeah, poor kid has bad taste. She prefers Looney Tunes over Batman.”
Scott glared at Stiles for calling out his daughter like that, but remained quiet. He was way smarter than to get in the middle of a fight between Stiles and Derek.
“Who forgot the project?” Derek asked simply, leaning against the living room chair.
“Papa! Welcome home. Tomorrow we start summer!” Eli called, grabbing to his papa’s leg like a koala. Derek immediately held on to his back so he wouldn’t fall.
“Hey, pup. Yes, we do. And you know what you promised when we let you join your summer space camp?” Derek asked gently.
Eli just turned his puppy eyes on him. Derek cursed Scott for teaching his kid that. Like him looking exactly like Stiles wasn’t enough. “That when it was over we would visit the visit with all my uncles and aunts? Aunt Lydia got me a new swimsuit.” Eli said excitedly, completely ignoring his papa’s real question.
“You promised you would do all your homework on time if we let you join it, and your daddy and the rest of the Pack wouldn’t do them for you.” Derek scolded slightly, meeting his son’s eyes. He then turned a slight glare in Scott and Stiles’ direction. This time, Scott did look sheepishly at the floor, but Stiles only smiled and waved his fingers at Derek. “Thank your uncle, he has to get home to your cousin.” Derek instructed, pointing at Scott.
“Oh, no, I wasn’t kidding. Scott is joining us for dinner. We haven’t started the Teen Titans Movie, Eli wanted to join us for that one.” Stiles said simply, washing his hands and getting the lasagna he had prepared earlier in the oven. It was mostly broken because Eli was helping when he remembered his project. Which also explained why it wasn’t baked yet.
“Yeah, papa! Want to watch it? You are like Cyborg!” Eli said excitedly. Derek didn’t even bother to ask why he was like Cyborg, of all people. He instead asked Eli about his day at space camp, while Stiles and Scott made the table presentable. He had an inkling that he was going to be finding glitter every day for the foreseeable future, but both Eli and Stiles seemed very excited, so he decided he could live with that.
“Thank you” He whispered at Scott, while still chatting with his son. Scott heard him from the other side of the room and looked at him weirdly. Derek just pointed at a smiling Stiles, going on about planets, while Eli on his lap was telling him all about the sun. Scott smiled at that. He was always happy to be part of Stiles’ life, especially when it made both Stiles and his nephew that happy. And, after all, Stiles had spent the last two days looking over a sick Maddison so Kira and Scott could get at least two hours of sleep each, so they were even.
“Of course.” He whispered back, before going back into the kitchen to remind Stiles that the oven was indeed hot and he couldn’t grab anything inside of it without protection.
Maybe the summer with both their families and their Pack will be different than it used to, but it would be special it in its own way. At least until both their children could speak and get into trouble together. But that was still a few years away.

How Olivia Benson, Elliot stabler, Amanda Rollins, Dominick Carisi, and Grace Muncy all ended up on a family vacation together would never be known.
Actually, it would. It was quite simple really: Elizabeth Stabler forgot to mention the name of her girlfriend.
……………………….
The trip had been in the planning stage for quite a while, trying to get everyone time off and details set in stone was more of a task than expected, but eventually everyone had managed to pull themselves together for a good old fashion family vacation.
Among the guest were the original stablers: Elliot, Maureen, her husband, and their two kids, Kathleen, Richard- or Dickie, and Elizabeth with her girlfriend who only her siblings had met, and of course Eli.
Then there were the Benson-stablers: Olivia and Noah.
And then tagging along was the Rollins-Carisi crew: Sonny, Amanda, Jesse, and Billie, there was a bit of debate about whether or not Frannie was coming along, but ultimately Frannie was sent to live with a more than reluctant Fin for a while.
Olivia and Amanda had brought up going on vacation together more than once, it just never seemed to work out, and when it finally did work out, ten more people were added to the mix, not that either of them really minded.
Okay, Amanda minded a little, not because she didn’t want everyone there, but because she was going to be in close proximity with Elliot Stabler, and while she was incredibly happy that Olivia has found someone who makes her happy, Amanda did not exactly like Elliot. She had nothing real against him, he just rubbed her the wrong way- and the whole abandoning Olivia thing didn’t help- but Amanda supposed she could put up with him so long as he didn’t do anything stupid.
Looking back on it, Olivia really should have known- she was the one who signed off on Muncy’s time off for god’s sake, she really couldn’t put two and two together.
……………………….
“Tell me why we aren’t just flying again” Elliot said popping his head out of the closet.
“Elliot it was your decision, you said it would be cheaper to drive and a good quote ‘bonding experience’” Olivia pointed out.
“Well why didn’t you stop me”
“I tried El, I tried, but you weren’t having it, now were going to be driving for quite literally 2 days before the trip even starts” Olivia rolled her eyes “It should also be noted that it was your idea to rent an entire minibus so we can all ride together” Olivia said.
“Hey, now that was a good idea, no trying to keep up with each other, plus the bus has WIFI and charging stations, not to mention a bathroom which means we will be stopping less” Elliot defended himself.
“Sure”
……………………….
“Jesse Honey come on, you have to get up” Amanda said softly shaking her daughter, it had been a rough night in the Rollins-Carisi house, Jesse had been having a tough time all around. She wasn’t acting up, but she never wanted to go to school, half the time she ended up in Sonny and Amanda’s bed in the middle of the night and she never seemed to want to be in a room without at least one of her parents. Amanda had talked to her about it, but the 8-year-old didn’t really have a good explanation, but Amanda would keep trying until she figured out whatever was going on.
The previous night had been a long one to say the least, not really by anyone’s fault, but Jesse had refused going to sleep, even when Amanda laid in the bed with her, she had had a bit of a breakdown. Amanda and Sonny had established a solid bedtime routine which Jesse could do mostly independently, but when it came time for her to actually go to sleep, she clung first to Sonny and then to Amanda.
Amanda was never one for just sticking a kid in their own bedroom and saying deal with it, this was not Jesse being defiant, this was Jesse being anxious, and forcing her to sleep in her own bed on the verge of a very real panic attack was not the solution.
They had gotten Jesse to sleep with the promise that one of them would be with her at all times, but she had woken up several times during the night, which thank the heavens Billie never woke up to since they moved and the girls had their own rooms, but it made for several very tired individuals, and Amanda hated the fact she had to wake Jesse up so they could leave, with any luck she would sleep on the bus.
Jesse rolled over and groaned, now that she actually needed to be awake it seemed as if all her body could do was sleep.
“I know, I'm sorry, I’ve let you sleep as long as I can, we got to get up and get ready to go, but maybe you can sleep once were on the road” Amanda said, hoping to entice her oldest out of bed “And Aunt Livia said there will be breakfast”
Jesse rubbed at her eyes before opening them to meet her mothers, “Don’t wanna”
“You don’t wanna get up, or you don’t want to go on vacation?” Jesse hadn’t said anything about not wanted to go, but then again, she hadn’t talked about going much either.
“Don’t wanna get up” Jesse clarified, snuggling her face into the blanket Fin had given her so many years ago.
“I know you don’t, I know it was a bit of a long night huh” Amanda brushed back some of Jesse’s hair “We just need to get you up, I can braid your hair and we need to brush your teeth and pack the last-minute things”
Jesse still didn’t want to, but pulled herself out of bed.
……………………….
With a momentous amount of effort everyone managed to make it to the lot where they could all get on the bus to start driving.
Noah was dragging his feet behind his mother and Elliot, looking like he has rolled out of bed about 30 seconds ago, Eli not far behind him looking about the same. Olivia and Elliot were babbling away about God knows what, probably about how there were only 3 people licensed to drive the bus.
Kathleen rode with Maureen and her family, and she seemed to be about the only one awake in the whole group, except of course for Maureen’s boys who were running in circles around the parking lot.
Dickie- which he was finally okay with being called again- was standing at the back of the bus with Maureen’s husband playing what resembled a game of Tetris but with ungodly amounts of suitcases and duffle bags.
Billie was holding onto Sonny’s hands and being swung around, which in truth made Amanda a little nervous on the hard pavement, but she wasn’t going to stop them, not with the giggles it was producing from the 5-year-old. Jesse was standing against her mother’s side gripping her hand, she knew some of the people around her, but not all of them, but when she saw Olivia, she ripped herself away from her mother to run towards her.
Olivia caught the girl in a hug “Hey sweet girl” she ran her hand over the back of Jesse’s head from where Jesse’s face was against her stomach. “You doing, okay?” she said as Jesse released her.
Jesse nodded “Hi Elliot”
Elliot was a little surprised this being the first time Jesse had greeted him directing without prompting. “Well, hello miss Jesse, can I just say that I think your hair looks pretty awesome”
That got a smile out of Jesse once hand going up to touch one of her braided space buns “Thank you, momma did it”
“Well, your momma did a great job” Elliot said with a smile, this honestly being the longest interaction with Jesse other than the time he was helping her get food at a dinner.
“I like to tell Elliot that his hair looks good” Olivia said with a smirk.
“But Elliot’s bald” Jesse said with a laugh.
……………………….
Lizzie was the last to arrive, but no one minded since she was also responsible for bringing breakfast for everyone, so she got a pass.
“I need some help here, I only have so many hands Elizabeth” came a frustrated, but not actually frustrated voice from the other side of the car where no one could see.
Olivia looked behind her from where she was talking to Amanda, she knew that voice, but there was no way. Amanda had also noticed but she was a little more unsure as to who it was.
Only a few moments later Lizzie stabler walked out from behind the car holding several boxes and bags, followed by a Grace Muncy who was quite precariously balancing drink holders up and down her arms.
Amanda and Olivia looked at each other then back at Muncy who had yet to notice the presence of her captain and former colleague, passing some of the drinks over to Kathleen who had come over to stop her from spilling the drinks all over the parking lot.
With a more reasonable load to handle Muncy was able to look up and at all the people spread across the parking lot, she quite quickly noticed Olivia and Amanda, and who she assumed was Carisi on the other side- he was running in circles it was hard to tell.
“You knew didn’t you” Grace looked towards her girlfriend who had a little guilty smirk.
“I didn’t want to scare you away, if it makes you feel better Olivia didn’t know either” Lizzie defended herself with a smile.
Grace rolled her eyes “I don’t even like you”
They made their way over to the group, Muncy just giving a nod to Amanda and Olivia, not sure what the protocol was for when you find out you're going on vacation with your boss. “Alright, the drinks have sticky notes with names on them, if you got the wrong drink wait until they’re distributed before we figure out who’s is whose” she said and began passing out drinks.
“This one is for Billie” Grace said handing it to Sonny rather than the 5-year-old. “And this one is for Oli- the captain” Muncy was just reading off names but stopped herself before calling her boss by her first name.
Olivia held back a smile, it seemed as though Muncy was a whole lot more flustered over the whole situation than she was, she took her drink trying and failing to make eye contact with a very focused Muncy.
Lizzie had been setting down the food inside the bus and hopped out walking over to Olivia instead of her helpless girlfriend. “If I'm being honest, I thought it would probably scare her away, it should also be mentioned that she’s never met dad”
Olivia was going to respond but Amanda beside her started chuckling. “She hasn’t met your family and you stick her on a vacation with her boss and Elliot Stabler, now that’s just cruel”
“Hey all my siblings have met her” Lizzie defended herself. “She’ll be fine”
Olivia couldn’t help rolling her eyes with a bit of a smile. “Once she actually makes eye contact with someone” she really did mind the whole situation, sure it was definitely a shock and it threw her off, but all in all it wasn’t a big deal- nothing was going to put a damper on her vacation.
All the drinks had been distributed and Grace saw that she really didn’t have a choice other than to go stand over by her girlfriend. “Captain, Detective Rollins” Muncy greeted with a smile, even if it was a little forced.
“Not a Detective anymore, you can call me Amanda” Amanda said trying to coax a hiding Jesse out from behind her to meet a new person.
Olivia considered messing with Muncy a little, but decided she would be nice just this once “And you can call me Olivia or Liv since we’re not at work”
Muncy nodded- she would still be using captain. She spotted Jesse from behind Amanda, when she had called out her name for her drink Amanda had come up and grabbed it handing it to the girl, so she hadn’t really seen her. “And who is this?”
Amanda tried to pull Jesse out from behind her, failing at first but getting her to where Grace could at least see her face, even if it was still leaning against Amanda’s side.
Grace could see how nervous Jesse and made sure not to step forward to avoid crowding “Those shoes are really cool; I have some just like them with me” the way to a kid’s heart was compliments.
Jesse looked down at her shoes than back up at Muncy “Like these ones”
“Yep” Muncy was telling the truth, they were in her suitcase at the moment “Well, they’re probably a little bigger”
Jesse looked down at the shoes Muncy was currently in, as if to check and nodded back up at Muncy “I'm Jesse” she said after looking at her mother for permission.
“That’s a very pretty name, I'm grace, and do you know Lizzie” she said indicating her girlfriend who gave a little wave.
Jesse thought for a second before decided that she had not met Lizzie, but thought she knew who she was “You're Elliot’s daughter”
Everyone was a little surprised that Jesse had put that together and remembered it but Lizzie nodded “I am, which means I'm Eli’s sister” Lizzie knew Jesse would know who Eli was.
Jesse nodded and turned to point “That’s Billie my sister with uncle Sonny”
Olivia looked at Amanda who shrugged. There had been some debate over who Sonny was to the girls, well not really, by almost all accounts he was their father, and ever since Amanda and Carisi got married they had been living together.
Billie had taken to calling Sonny dad right away, she had been doing it since they day of the courthouse wedding, but Jesse hadn’t and that was okay they were in no way going to pressure her, if she never called Sonny dad no one would have a problem with it.
Jesse knew who Declan was, and had met him a few times, mostly she knew that she would be getting a nice birthday and Christmas card each year with more spending money than she got from anyone else, and she didn’t seem too torn up about not seeing her biological father. Al was a little more involved in Billie’s everyday life, and saw her a good bit even having her overnight sometimes, but Amanda and Sonny made sure always to give Jesse a bit of extra love whenever that happened.
There was a loud slam at the back of the bus indicating that all the bags had been packed in and Elliot got the attention of the group “This bus leaves in 5 minutes if you're not on it too bad”

The Gipson Girls Job: Ch. 10
Chapter Ten
The alarm blared in Eliot’s ear, sending his blood rocketing through his veins. Embyr. She was in trouble. He had been trying to talk to her through the comms, but hadn’t received an answer. Now it was all too clear. He was out the door of his truck before his next thought formed, slamming it behind him as his strides devoured the pavement between him and the backdoor of the club.
Hardison froze as the alarm sounded, signifying the Embyr was in deep shit. He glanced around the room discreetly to confirm what he had noticed upon arriving. She wasn’t here. That had to mean that Victor had her holed up elsewhere, or even moved off site. Panic skittered through him, but he kept his face impassive. “Two honeys, bought and paid for.” Victor was all smiles now. Not only was their business to be concluded now, but he was about two point seven million dollars richer. Not that he would ever really see that money, but it was enough of an illusion for him to feel very much like that cat that got the canary. It still floored Hardison how much Victor was selling these women for. It was disgusting. He could hear Nate barking orders, Eliot’s ragged breathing. Parker was oddly quiet, and so was Sophie. He could just imagine the look on Soph’s face. He had seen how the girl had softened their Grifter, even in the few hours she had known her. Fussing around her like a mother hen. Hardison sent up a silent prayer that Eliot would reach Embyr before it was too late.
Eliot threw open the back door to the club, and it nearly slammed into the wall behind him. He swept in, his head on a swivel as he listened. Embyr had said she was locked in a closet that smelled of mold and the great unwashed. He skirted a half wall that led down into the basement, where the smell of mold was going to be strongest. From there, he paused, listening for the sound of trouble, a thud, a scream. Anything. The basement was quiet. Frustration tore through him, but he took a deep breath to calm himself. Getting all worked up before he had to would only exhaust him, and even a single moment of slowness could cost him, or Embyr, and he wouldn’t risk that. He stepped further into the spacious basement, keeping his nose peeled for any concentration of B.O over top of the mold. He closed his eyes, tapping into every memory he had of high school boys locker rooms, laundry duty after football games, the barracks at the base, of all that male sweat building to unbearable levels in the most inhospitable places he served.
There. He was off again, following the smell of sweaty jockstraps and old socks. His search led him to a door marked ‘Maintenance’, where the faint sound of a struggle could be heard. He tested the handle, and smiled. Dumbass didn’t lock the door behind him. He twisted the handle again, yanking it back as hard as he could.
Embyr could barely feel anything anymore, barely hanging onto consciousness. She wondered vaguely why, why she continued to struggle. It was futile anyway. Just as she was about to slip into the beckoning darkness, the door burst open, the scrape and clang of metal hitting concrete pausing Dario in his explorations. His grip loosened in his surprise and Embyr’s knees buckled. She collapsed to the floor, coughing as her lungs greedily sucked in the foul tasting air. Despite the lingering tinge of sewage it left in her mouth, any air was preferable to strangulation. Slowly, she lifted her head, her eyes, barely open against the invading light, took in Eliot as he stood in the doorway. His eyes glittered with malice he didn’t even try to hide, a fury he did not have a leash on. Embyr shuddered, fear of Eliot marring her relief that he had come to her rescue. His movements were a blur, launching himself at the larger man, who still hadn’t completely turned for the doorway, and wrapping his thick arms around Dario’s neck. The Enforcer’s eyes bulged, his mouth opening in a surprised ‘O’. With his free hand, Eliot swung at the man’s face, blood dotting his knuckles as he smashed in several teeth, breaking Dario’s nose. The huge man bellowed his fury and pain, struggling to keep his balance with the other man on his back. Still Eliot hung on like a rodeo rider, Dario a senseless bull prodded into violence.
Embyr’s eyes slowly came back into focus, the world gradually coming back into color. She scooted back into the closet as far as she could, shrinking in on herself as the two men fought. Dario slammed back against the doorframe, cracking Eliot’s spine on the corner. Eliot wheezed, and his grip loosened for a fraction of a second. Dario seemed to sense his enemy’s moment of weakness and gripped the arm that had been locked around his throat. He flipped Eliot over his shoulder as if he were nothing more than a child’s toy, slamming him into the floor. There was a sickening smack as his shoulder bowed against the concrete. He didn’t move.
Embyr couldn’t help the strangled cry that escaped her, which drew the Enforcer’s attention. Blood dripped lazily from his broken jaw, and he spat a combination of his viscous spittle and shards of teeth onto the floor by her feet. “You’ll pay for this with your body, foolish Bird…” He growled, the words slurred and hoarse from the mangled mess of his mouth. She drew her knees up to her chest, watching him with hate-filled eyes. She wished a thousand times over that her gaze would cause the horrific mountain of a man to spontaneously combust, but as he drew closer to her, not a mass of burning flesh, a sickening realization settled in the pit of her stomach. He was going to kill her. Slowly, and by the look on his face, she would suffer every torment humanly possible for a woman before he did so.
Tears, both angry and fearful welled in her eyes, tracking crystal saline down her cheeks. “Bastard. I’ll see you in hell.” She promised him. He grinned, triumph in every line of his face. “I won’t be killing you just yet, little Bird, but by the time I am done with you, you’ll wish I had…” He replied with a smug sneer, confirming her suspicions. She lifted her chin in defiance. “Do your worst. I swear that you won’t enjoy a moment of it. I’ll rip those grapes you call balls off and feed them to you.” She growled. Which, she realized belatedly, was probably rather comical from where he was standing, considering that she was a tiny, half-naked ball in the back of a closet.
Eliot groaned, his head spinning as he lifted it. Embyr was shrunk back into the corner, the most defiant expression he had ever seen on her face. It was deeper than the look she had worn in the living room when she was convinced that she would have to do this alone. This was recognition and resignation. The Gipson’s Enforcer advanced on her, meaty hands reaching for her. Faster than he could form the thought, he swung his fist, knocking it into the brute’s ankle. There was a muffled popping sound and Dario screamed like a banshee as his leg went out from under him. Eliot scrambled back out of the way as the mountain crumbled, crashing to the floor on his knees. With another cry, this one of fury, he braced his good leg underneath him and pushed himself up. Eliot was faster, standing with his fists poised to strike. Dario was easily a hundred to a hundred and fifty pounds heavier than Eliot, and at least a foot taller. Now that he didn’t have the element of surprise, Eliot wasn’t sure he would be able to best the Enforcer. Even with his injured ankle, Dario was a formidable force. In the alley, he had the advantage of space, the momentum of oncoming opponents. Here, in close quarters, he would be lucky to knock the brute unconscious.
Dario didn’t spare Embyr another moment of thought, reaching for his belt, drawing out a wicked looking Bowie knife. Eliot stilled. Any weapon changed the beat of this particular dance, but a knife in this tiny closet was as lethal as a gun. Dario smiled, his grin gaping in places from his missing teeth, and that made him look almost manic in his glee. Eliot backed away, hoping to draw him out into a more open space. He hoped that the brute would be dumb enough to believe that Eliot was scared of him, which would make him cocky. Inflated confidence in one’s abilities was a recipe for mistakes, a fact Eliot knew all too well. On que, Dario followed, slowly, as if he had all the time in the world. Eliot’s eyes flicked to Embyr, urging her without words that as soon as Dario was clear of the door, she was to run. She swallowed, but nodded.
Once Dario was in the doorway, Eliot beckoned him with one sarcastic bend of his fingers, his lips curving into a lopsided smile. Dario grunted, lunging forward with the knife gripped in one meaty fist. Eliot jumped back, the blade missing his abdomen by millimeters. Apparently, just because he was big, didn’t mean Dario was at least fairly skilled with that knife. Eliot kicked forward, aiming high on Dario’s thigh, hoping to knock the mountain of muscle off his balance, and giving himself the advantage. He all but bounced off his target. Still, it got Dario away from the door. He could see a flash of grey out of the corner of his eye, fighting the urge to sigh in relief. At least Embyr could get to safety. Dario also caught the movement and let out a bellow of frustration, twisting the knife in his grasp, and faster than Eliot would have thought possible, lunged forward again. The blade sank into Eliot’s shoulder, grinding against the bone as it did. Distantly, he could hear a high pitched cry from the doorway. Embyr. In a knee jerk reaction, Eliot kneed the Enforcer in the groin with all his waning strength. Dario’s eyes went wide as he sank to one knee, dragging the knife down with the momentum of his descent. The Enforcer’s hands cupped his abused man parts, his breath coming in short wheezing pants. Eliot hissed in pain, gripping the handle of the blade and yanking it out. Blood flowed freely from the wound, soaking through his shirt in a rapidly spreading fall. He didn’t think he had hit any major arteries, but it was hard to tell from this angle.
Embyr jumped up and ran, tugging her bra back over herself as she did so. Instinct and a little morbid curiosity had her turning at the last second when she reached the archway that led back upstairs. Just in time to see Dario’s knife cleave into Eliot’s shoulder. A scream tore itself from her throat and she doubled back, her eyes sweeping the space for anything she could use as a weapon. She spied a slender beam of wood laying on a stack of deconstructed scaffolding and grabbed it. Hoisting it like a bat, she charged, smacking the stunned Enforcer in the side of the head. There was a muffled crack, and Dario’s cry of pain as one meaty hand flew to his temple. Apparently the new pain distracted him momentarily from the devastating blow to his grapes. He twisted to look at her, fury and pain etched into every ugly line of his face, and she swung again, this time catching him square in the nose. It flattened the rest of the way on impact, blood gushing once more down his face. She swung again, a fury she had never known before bubbling up in her chest. Her vision darkened slightly, tinged red until the lines of reality blurred. She moved on instinct, paying no attention to the cries of the Enforcer as he put his hands up to protect what was left of his face. She continued to swing, even after the mountain crumbled into a heap on the floor, unconscious. Tears streamed down her face and she thrashed in protest as a strong arm wrapped around her, pinning her own against her torso.
“Em, Em, it’s over. He’s out. It’s over.” Eliot’s voice sounded funny, like it was reverberating through a glass fish bowl, so very far away. She froze, going that eerie stock still as her vision slowly returned to normal. Horror flashed through her as she took in the bloody wood still gripped in her hand, the mangled body on the floor. She dropped the makeshift bat as if the material had burned her. Dario’s face was a mess, deep gashes wept lazily and splinters from her assault peppered the surface like a macabre pincushion. “Oh god…” She breathed, her knees turning to jelly, threatening to buckle beneath her. Eliot held her, slowly turning her to face him. “It’s alright, I’m here…” He murmured, holding her closer with his good arm. She pulled back, her eyes widening as she took in the blood on his shirt. He glanced down, shrugging with his good shoulder. “I’ve had worse, don’t worry.” His eyes slid from her face to her chest, which was still very much on display. It didn’t even occur to her to be embarrassed, though she probably should have been. Adrenaline still pumped through her veins, turning her skin a pale shade of rose. He swallowed, reaching for the tattered remains of her shirt, knotting the fabric between her breasts. It wasn’t ideal, but at least she was mostly covered. Her bra only went so far in ways of modesty. “Let’s get out of here.” He steered her from the wreckage, to the back door. He didn’t know if she had killed the man or not, but he didn’t want to be around when the Gipsons figured out their Enforcer had been decommissioned by the same girl that had escaped them twice now.
“Hardison, are you out?” Eliot asked into the coms. “Yeah, I doubled back twice to get back to Lucille in case I was followed.” He replied. Eliot nodded, though the other man couldn’t see him. “Good, we need an extraction. I’ve got Embyr. We will be two blocks south of the club on Maple. And we will need a med kit.” He could hear the pain and exhaustion in his voice and he cursed it. Now was not the time to fall apart. To his immense relief, Hardison didn’t ask too many questions but simply agreed. Embyr said nothing as they walked, trembled against him as she was tucked under his arm. He didn’t think he would forget for quite some time the look on her face as she’d laid into Dario. It was as if her conscious thoughts had been drowned out by the white noise that he knew intimately well from his years in the service and then as a retrieval specialist. If numb could have an expression, that was it. He tightened his arm around her.
They reached the rendezvous point, huddled together in the growing shadows outside the circle of light created by the street lamp. He could hear Lucille approach before he glanced up. The massive black van was a welcome sight as his vision was starting to tip dangerously. Blood loss was a bitch. The sooner they got out of here, the better. Hardison pulled up close to the curb, blocking Eliot and Embyr from view in case anyone was driving by. He hopped out, his wide eyes flicking from Embyr’s torn shirt and Eliot’s bloody shoulder. “What in the hell happened? Where’s your truck?” He demanded. Eliot leveled him with a look that pleaded that they wait to do the explaining until later, but Hardison didn’t move. Eliot sighed. “Dario. The Gipson’s enforcer…” He trailed off, the very thought of what he had been doing to Embyr when Eliot had interrupted him was enough to turn Eliot’s vision red. “He assaulted me.” Embyr finished in a deadpan voice. Hardison let out a muffled ‘Damn’ under his breath. “He was strangling me, and, um…tore my shirt…” Embyr continued as if she hadn’t heard the hacker’s exclamation. “If Eliot hadn’t shown up when he did…I don’t think I would have lasted much longer…” She admitted. It seemed that her words were breaking through the numbed state of her consciousness and she began to tremble harder, the adrenaline fading, leaving her feeling weak and hollow. Tears burned at the edges of her vision as the image of Dario’s prone body flooded her mind’s eye. “And…and…I think I may have killed him…” Her voice broke over the last and Eliot curled her into him, stroking her spine with his good hand. “It was the most brazen, reckless, but bravest thing I’ve ever seen. Even if you did kill him, I couldn’t be any more proud of you. Nor would I ever blame you for it.” He spoke slowly, calmly, willing that calm into her with his words and his touch. She nodded, her trembling slowing a bit as he held her.
“We need to get out of here. Victor will likely have gone to check on Embyr and will likely discover his Enforcer’s body and that his prized prisoner is missing. I’ll pick up the truck when it cools down around here.” Eliot urged. Hardison nodded once, not needing to be told twice. Embyr climbed into the back of the van, turning back for Eliot. He swayed, a muffled curse escaping him as he tried unsuccessfully to follow. Embyr held her hand out for him, and though it shook, she offered him an encouraging smile. With a deep breath, he heaved himself up into the cargo bay. He sank into one of the chairs with a heavy sigh, closing his eyes. His skin was worryingly pale. He was losing blood, fast. “Hardison, where is that med kit?” She asked sharply, concern an edge to her every syllable. “Under the seat.” The hacker replied, meeting her worried expression in the rear view. She dug under the seat, sliding out a huge, almost military grade med kit. She had to admit, she was impressed, albeit not surprised. She was sure this wasn’t the first time Eliot had come back from a job bleeding. She flipped open the top of the kit, grabbing a wad of gauze before pressing it against his shoulder, hard. His eyes snapped open, and he winced. “Hey, easy there…” He managed, his voice hoarse. She bit her lip. “Sorry, but we’ve got to stop the bleeding. We should get you to a hospital.” Eliot shook his head.
“Don’t do hospitals. Hate them.” He told her. Her lips pulled into a disgruntled pout. “But Eliot….you are losing a lot of blood.” She protested. Eliot couldn’t help the full belly laugh that escaped him, hissing as the action worried his shoulder. “Well isn’t this the pot calling the kettle black. I distinctly remember a young woman who was quite adamant about ‘O ‘Ospitals’ when she nearly had her head beaten in by not one, but at least a dozen thugs.” He jibbed, but his words were starting to slur. Embyr bristled. “So? I hadn’t been stabbed, Eliot.” She retorted sourly. Eliot shrugged once with his good shoulder. “A few stitches and I’ll be good as new.” She rummaged around the med kit with her free hand until she found the silk thread and suture needle. ”Hold this. I’ll sew you up since it's my fault you got stabbed..” She wouldn’t look at him as she said it, but her tone stated quite plainly that she wasn't to be argued with. He pressed his palm to the gauze, watching her. As much as he wanted to protest, to tell her that she had nothing to do with it, he respected her wishes and simply held the gauze in place.
Carefully, she laid out the needle and thread, reaching back into the kit for the small pair of surgical scissors. She threaded the needle with practiced ease, laying it on her lap as she turned to him. She had him move the gauze, a fresh flow of blood blooming over the existing stain. She carefully cut away the shoulder of his shirt, revealing the wound. “Awww, this was one of my favorite shirts…” He protested, but his voice was more slur than whine. She ignored him, hissing out a breath as she examined the jagged gash carefully, her skin turning a pale shade of green. He couldn’t look at her with that flood of concern in her eyes. “Don’t worry, I’ll call Laura…” He began, pulling away, but she shook her head. “I can do it. It’s MY fault you are hurt in the first place. It’s just…I’ve never sewn up skin before.” She admitted. His desire to argue, to insist that he never should have allowed her to be bait in the first place grew, but the self-deprecation in her voice caused only a half-hearted chuckle. That was the part she was worried about? “It’s not too different from sewing up suede or soft leather. Just… a few more layers to stitch through.” He advised, calmly, as not to worsen her anxiety. Carefully, she squeezed the edges of the gash closed, gritting her teeth as she made the first stitch. His jaw clenched, but he didn’t make a sound. “Are you alright?” She asked quietly. He refused to look at her, lest he give himself away. His gaze wandered skyward, his breath hitching as she made the next stitch. “I’ve had worse.” He replied. Embyr frowned. “That didn’t answer my question, Eliot.” She nearly growled. This was not the time for his deflection. He looked at her then, pain etched into every line of his face. “I didn’t want to lie to you.” He said simply. She swallowed hard, refusing to look away. “Then don’t.” She replied. He didn’t speak, but his eyes told her more than his words ever could. She fell into a rhythm of threading and pulling, stitching the skin together as neatly as she could. When she was finished, she cleaned around the wound with more gauze and the contents of a tiny antiseptic bottle she found. She placed a large patch of gauze over the stitches, taping it in place. Eliot was impressed. Though she had been nervous, her hands shaking, she had swallowed her nerves and dove in head first with what needed to be done. She continued to amaze him at every turn. She didn’t wilt under pressure like some delicate feminine flower. She bit and fought with every bit of the ferocity of a cornered she-wolf.
When she was done putting the kit away, she sank back into her seat with a heavy sigh. It was as if all of the air had been released from her sails. She looked pale, almost sickly again. “Thank you.” Eliot managed softly. She nodded, her eyes closed, but didn’t speak. She pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them. They sat that way in silence for what felt like forever. “You doing alright back there?” Hardison asked, stealing glances at them in the mirror. Embyr didn’t respond, her mind too tangled to form a reply. “F-fine…” Eliot managed, his voice breathy, faint. It drew Embyr’s attention immediately. He had his head laid back, his eyes closed. His skin was borderline gray now, sweat beaded on his brow. She reached for him, her fingers ghosting over his forehead, which was hot. His cheeks, in contrast, were ice cold. “Hardison, how far are we from the office?” She asked hurriedly, panic lifting her voice half an octave. “About ten minutes, why?” The hacker replied, his eyes flicking back and forth between them. “Too far from the hospital then.” She said, smoothing a few stray strands of Eliot’s back from his face. “Eliot, where is your phone?” She asked, cupping his cheek to make him focus on her. “Why?” He asked slowly, his voice barely audible, the slur in his words getting worse. He sounded almost drunk. “Where is your phone?! I’m calling Laura.” She insisted, her voice hiking higher, impatience slicing the air. Eliot shook his head, waving her off weakly. “‘M’fine…” He tried to reassure her, but she glared at him.
“Where is your damn phone Eliot Spencer!? Or I swear I will turn you upside down and shake it from you!” She cried, tears of either anger or fear burning the edges of her vision. She wasn’t sure which at this point. ”In m’pocket…” He managed. She dug into the pocket of his jeans without preamble, ignoring the fact that she was rummaging around the pocket of Eliot’s pants. “What’s going on!?” Hardison asked, Embyr’s agitation setting him on edge. Embyr didn’t answer him, scrolling rapidly through Eliot’s contacts to find Laura. The medic answered on the second ring.
“Hey there Eliot, how’s the girl?” Laura asked, her voice edged with a little dread, as if she anticipated bad news. “I was expecting you to call me and update me sooner than this Spence.” She chastised. “Laura, I need your help…Eliot is hurt. Lost a lot of blood. I sewed him up, but he’s turning gray and his speech is slurred.” Embyr spoke quickly, cursing the flood of emotion that welled up in her chest. If he died because of her…She shuddered. There was pause. “Honey, where are you? What happened?” Laura switched gears immediately, all medic now. “Hardison, what is the address to the office?” She asked hurriedly. He rattled it off for her and she relayed it to Laura. “Alright, relax. Keep pressure on the wound, and try to keep him warm. I’ll be there as soon as I can.” The medic replied before hanging up. Embyr’s heart was hammering out of her chest, almost painful against her ribs. Keep pressure on the wound, keep him warm. She glanced around the cargo bay of the van, seeing absolutely nothing to cover him with. She swallowed, unhooking her seatbelt.
Hardison was watching her in the mirror, his brows knitting as she slid across the bay to settle in Eliot’s lap. All she had to keep him warm was herself. She curled against him, laying her head against his good shoulder. She let her long hair down, letting it cascade where it would. She pressed her palm to his injured shoulder, applying as much pressure as she could. He grunted, but didn’t move beyond that. He didn’t even seem to know that she was there. She held onto him tightly, praying that they weren’t too late.

Warning: Long Ass Post (im sorry)
Darlin:
super specific but i feel like Darlin’ calls Sam “Sammy”, and that THAT’S why Quinn calls him that in the most recent vid; he knows that it’s a little soft nickname Darlin’ has for him and it’s part of his attempt to get under their skin and ruin yet another thing for the two of them.
Sam = Sammy, and godfuckingdammit Quinn you stay away from that nickname
Angel:
100% it’s Davey - it has been since day one and you know what? David doesn’t hate it anymore (erik why did you change his playlist to saying “David” 😔) - he used to because he thought it was a teasing bit, but now it reminds him of when he was a kid, and reminds him that he’s safe and loved by this absolute crackhead of a person
Sweetheart:
Calls Milo “Shawty” as a play on “Shorty”, but always meaning it with love and affection - will also call him “Mi” or “Mye”, or hell, even “Lo” if they feel like it. Not much to pull a nickname from, is their excuse.
BONUS: they’ll call Aggro “Aggy” (with a hard g sound) - Aggro loves it and Milo acts annoyed that he’s never that pleased whenever HE nicknames the cat anything
Baaabe:
Wolfie, for Ash, as a longstanding play on his “oh no babe i’m shifting and i can’t answer the door” bit, which has absolutely been done multiple times, don’t even try to tell me otherwise, that man will shift to get out of anything, the little shit.
He also responds to *barking noises*, just….cuz, and Babe thinks it’s the funniest thing to see him duck his head around a corner to find them when they do it
Also just Ash/Asher, they’re a simple person with simple needs
Freelancer:
Settles for the classic “babe” mostly, for Gavin, either that or “Gav” and doesn’t say “Vin” because they think it’s too close to Vindemiator, which he doesn’t like.
Will also say “bitch”, endearingly, but that goes for anyone
Lovely:
Vin/Vinnie, it’s simple and he thinks it’s cute. They like calling him it in front of Sam or Will because the aggressive side-eye of “don’t you fucking dare say anything about this” that he gives afterwards is damn worth it - they specifically call him Vinnie when they’re teasing him about something *ahem* nsfw? He adores it either way, and likes that it rhymes with their own petname.
Baby (Ollie’s listener):
Ollie or Ols, soft and sweet, and he’s said that he’s only “Ollie” to those he likes. They would call him Oliver as a bit though, for dramatic flare
Smartass:
A-aron from that meme. That’s his contact name in their phone. He didn’t know what it was at first and they got the joy of sitting him down and showing him the video. He wasn’t best pleased, but went along with it anyway.
They’ll also call HIM “Smartass” in return, i fully believe they have it as a back-and-forth thing, rather than just one-sided him @ them
Sunshine:
Has definitely referred to Elliott as “the man of my dreams” multiple times, but mostly settles for Eli
Honey:
“Dumbass” but lovingly, like early-days David called Angel. Also “Pizza” because why the hell not, his name’s Guy and he’s a pizza guy, they’ll never let him live it down. Anything “mean” tbh - “idiot” has also been on the cards several times.
Cutie:
Called Geordi “George” a handful of times, seeing as it’s “Jordi” in english, either that or “Lieutenant Commander La Forge”, as was his contact name in their phone, or “Trekkie” for pretty much the same reason; they liked joking about where his name’s from (erik i’m looking at you)
Regulus’ Listener:
I mean probably nothing seeing as I don’t think they can talk during the interactions? But if they could, then “Reggie” or plain old “Regulus” tbh, i don’t know enough about them to gage this sorry
Warden:
Started off as “Vega” for the sake of remaining professional, mentally nicknames him “Lyrae” as is the second name for the star itself, or just goes with “V” (Vee), which he likes the most, but won’t say it. (he’s growing softer for them by the day okay)
Starlight:
Sounds cringe (Marauders fans don’t come for me) but “Moony” for Avior, because ya know, the moon and the stars? it fits, aight? After they lost their memories though, they returned to calling him Avior, and it hurt him so much more.
[NONCANON]:
Freelancer @ Huxley:
Hux. Hands down, nothing changes. Except for that one time they slipped up and called him “Huckle Berry” and he was pleased, but they never did it again coz “god that was awful”
Freelancer @ Damien:
Dames, as per usual, or “Mimi” if they wanna piss him off. “Firecracker” is another, they called him “Anthracite Vertical Radiator” over text once and he nearly became the first person to set something on fire through a screen.
Freelancer @ Lasko:
Laz is their go-to, a typical nickname of just removing the last couple letters of the full name (guilty as charged), but calling him literally any pet name at all will have him blushing and unable to hold eye contact (N-C Lasko is horny as fuck and we all know it)
Tell me if i missed any! - i started off as just thinking up Darlin’s but the ball kinda rolled away on itself and here we are
Forget what redacted boyfriends or mates call the listeners, what do the listeners call their bfs/mates???
Personally I just call everyone any name under the sun. I might make a hc post abt it but- what are your takes?
#redactedverse#redacted asmr#redacted audio#redacted headcanons#redacted listener#jed’s food for thought#sorry this is so long#dm if i missed any plz

YOU’RE REALLY SORRY?:
“You’re sure you’re ready to go back?”
“I can’t avoid school forever, mom.”
Shaking her head, your mom sighs. “You missed one day,” she reminds softly, “I’m sure one more wouldn’t be the end of the world.”
Laughing lightly, you shake your head, pulling the straps of your backpack further up. “I’ll be okay,” you assure softly, smiling to reinforce your words. “I promise. And I’ll call you if anything comes up.”
“Anything?”
“Anything.”
Nodding, your mother eases, letting you move to make your way out.
Just as you move to leave though, you pause. “Mom?”
Turning to you, she raises a brow; “yeah, honey?”
“Thanks for... coming back and um, staying. I know it’s hard for you to get time off,” you whisper, fiddling with your fingers slightly. “I’ve always known that, and I’m sorry if I made you think I didn’t understand.”
Touched at your words, your mother reaches forward, brushing a strand of your hair back and tucking it behind your ear as she smiles at you. “Thank you, honey. But, you were right. I should be home more and I want to be there for you, okay?”
Warmed at her words, you nod.
“Okay.”
-
For the first time in what feels like forever, a genuine smile spreads across your lips at the sight before you.
“Miguel!”
Turning at the sound of a familiar voice, Miguel eases slightly at the sight of you. You’re all too quick to rush over to him, moving to hug him as he returns the affection. When you pull back, you can’t help but laugh; “look at you!”
“Ah, look at me,” he laughs, gesturing towards himself with a shake of his head.
“Does it feel weird to be back?”
“A little,” he shrugs, “I guess I just wasn’t expecting to be back so soon.”
You nod–it made perfect sense. A few days ago, he couldn’t walk, and now look at him. You haven’t been able to see him since before he’d gotten released from the hospital, and when you’d visited him then, he’d seemed quite defeated. It was a sight you weren’t quite used to seeing on Miguel, and had done your best to at least try to cheer him up the best you could. Now, it looked like he didn’t need that anymore.
There was almost a new light to him–completely reinvigorated.
“Well, I’m happy for you, Miguel,” you smile brightly, eyes crinkling with warmth as he flushes slightly at the praise. “I mean, what you did–”
“El Serpiente!”
You freeze at the voice, knowing who it is before you even have to turn around and see. It feels like everything in your body freezes then, and you barely register the look on Miguel’s face as concern floods his gaze at your reaction to Eli of all people. He’d known things were estranged between the two of you, but there was almost a sense of fear in your eyes as you heard his voice and that… that was odd.
No matter how mad or upset you were with Eli, Miguel had never seen you look afraid at the sound of his voice.
“Y/N, are you–”
“I gotta go,” you say suddenly, snapping out of your own revere as you turn to meet Miguel’s gaze. Forcing a smile on your face, you shake your head; “sorry, I forgot I was supposed to meet up with a-a friend before class. I’ll see you later, okay?”
You’re turning around before he can say otherwise, and you didn’t realize just how close Eli was because the second you turn, he’s right there. He looks just as shocked to see you, but just as his lips part to say something, you’re rushing past him, head ducking down to tuck into your chin as you all but run away.
Faltering just briefly, Eli turns back to Miguel, smiling as he holds his arm out in greeting.
“What’s up?”
“Welcome back, man,” Eli grins.
“Feels good to be back.”
“They give you bionic legs or some shit?”
Laughing, Miguel shakes his head; “no, same old boring human legs.”
“Oh yeah? Can you throw down?” Eli taunts teasingly, holding his fists out before him, “gotta defend that title.” Laughing, Miguel brushes his hand away, shaking his head as Eli grins. “Gotta get through me first.”
Miguel nods, faltering for a moment as his eyes flicker past Eli, in the direction you’d gone. “Is everything good with Y/N? I mean, she kind of ran off.”
A guilty look passes through Eli’s eyes, one Miguel doesn’t notice as he quickly shrugs it off. “I don’t know,” Eli says plainly, feigning ignorance. “We haven’t talked in a while, so…” His voice trails, and Miguel nods at that, figuring he’d find you later and try to figure out what was the matter. “Besides,” Eli cuts in through his thoughts, “dude, Cobra Kai is crushing it right now.”
“I’ve actually been meaning to talk to you about that–”
Just then, the school bell rings.
“I-I’ll talk to you about it at lunch.”
“All right, sure.”
-
Making your way into the cafeteria, the first thing you notice is Miguel and Eli.
And the fact that things seem tense.
Last you’d seen, things had seemed cool between the both of them. Of course, Miguel didn’t know what Miguel had done to Demetri, so it only made sense he’d think things were as they usually were.
Did he know?
If so, who had told him?
Was it Demetri?
That’d make the most sense–all it’d take is one look at Demetri for Miguel to wonder just exactly how he’d broken his arm. If that was the case and Miguel knew the truth… well, then obviously Miguel wasn’t so blind by Cobra Kai like Eli was to believe that that was okay.
And that, at the very least, filled you with some hope.
“Hey, guys!” Pulled from your thoughts at the sound of Kyler’s voice, your brows furrow as you glance to your right. “Check this guy out. Standing around with a d*ck in his hand.”
Lips parting at the sight of Demetri, you frown when the entire cafeteria erupts into laughter, blatantly mocking the boy. He’s ripping his arm from Kyler’s grasp in the next second, head bowing in defeat as he makes his way out of the cafeteria. You spare one more glance Eli and Miguel’s way, before shaking your head, rushing off in the direction Demetri had gone.
“Demetri!”
He promptly ignores you, turning around a corner as you roll your eyes in frustration.
“Demetri, just wait a second!”
Picking up the speed in your step, it only takes you a minute more before you reach the boy, promptly grabbing him by the shoulder to stop him. He huffs as you do, turning to face you with a heavy frown on his lips as you meet his gaze. “Are you okay?”
“Just peachy,” he answers, sarcasm dripping from his tone as he holds up his cast and the d*ck now drawn on it for you to see.
Biting your lip, you swallow thickly; “I could… sign it somehow? Try to make it better?”
“Nah, don’t worry about it,” he shrugs, “there’s absolutely nothing that could make this better.”
-
Making your way up to the building Robby had told you to meet him at, you pause at the sight of not only Johnny Lawrence, but Mr. Larusso as well. They haven’t noticed you yet, and they both seem to be in a pretty intense conversation, completely oblivious to everyone around them, including Robby who just made his way out.
“Seriously?”
They both turn to look at him, their expressions softening as you stand a little further back, unsure whether you should make yourself known or keep quiet.
“Robby,” Mr. Larusso calls at the same time Johnny calls out;
“Hey, Robby.”
Making his way over to them, Robby turns to his dad first; “I told you I don’t want you here.”
“You’re my son.” Johnny argues, “I wanted to be here.”
“And so did I,” Mr. Larusso cuts in.
“Don’t do me any favors,” Robby scoffs, turning to look at Mr. Larusso, “it’s your fault I was here.”
Brushing a strand of hair back, you glance around. It felt a lot like you were imposing on this moment that you most definitely shouldn’t be witnessing, or hearing for that matter, and you can’t help the discomfort that floods you as you shuffle on your feet lightly.
“I know you’re upset,” Mr. Larusso tries to placate, “but I was doing what was best for you. Now that you’re out, I just want you to know I’m here. You always have a home at Miyagi-Do.”
Johnny steps forward then; “or with me.”
“I already have someone picking me up,” Robby rolls his eyes, gesturing past the two and at you instead. You pause slightly when three pairs of eyes fall on you, namely Johnny and Mr. Larusso, offering a small smile and an awkward wave in greeting.
“Y/N?” Mr. Larusso calls out, brows furrowed in confusion, “shouldn’t you be in school?”
“My mom let me have the day so I could, well,” you gesture before yourself, at Robby.
“Who the hell is she?” Johnny cuts in, with as much tact as you remember him having from your very brief, very short conversation with him back at the Halloween dance last year.
“Y/N Y/L/N, she’s a student at Miyagi-Do.” Mr. Larusso explains, still obviously baffled at the sight of you.
Johnny scoffs, “figures.”
Reeling your head back at his tone, you quirk a brow.
“Jesus, just… Both of you,” Robby cuts in, pulling their attention back at him as he glares at both of them. “Stay out of my life.” He’s brushing past them before they can get in another word edgewise, making his way down the stairs until he reaches you. You glance at him, before looking back up at Mr. Larusso and Johnny one last time.
“Are you sure–”
“It’s fine,” Robby brushes off, “let’s just go.”
You nod without hesitation, letting him lead the way as you follow after him. You wait until you’re far enough from both of them before you speak up, “I just wanted to make sure you weren’t on your own when you got out. If I’d known your dad or Mr. Larusso were going to be here, I wouldn’t have–”
Robby just shakes his head, glancing back at you. “I didn’t want them there,” he assures, before pausing, moving to meet your gaze. “I did want you there, though.”
Heart warming at his words, you can’t help the smile that curls onto your lips, a soft flush on your cheeks as you nod back at him.
“Yeah?”
Rolling his eyes at the twinkle in your own, Robby just snorts, “of course. You’re like the only friend I have right now.”
Chuckling lightly, you bump your shoulder into his own gently, “well, don’t worry. I wanted to be there too.”
-
Right at the end of your second class back at Miyagi-Do, Mr. Larusso pulls you aside.
Honestly, you’d expected him to do it a lot earlier given that the last time he’d seen him, Robby had all but ignored him and gone straight to you–not to mention practically told him to stay out of his life from then on. You figured Mr. Larusso would have questions, and while you’d make sure to be respectful to Robby and not share anything he wouldn’t want you to, you knew Mr. Larusso was just coming from a place of concern.
And that you couldn’t fault him for.
Smiling warmly, you glance up to meet his eyes. “What’s up, Mr. Larusso?”
“I just wanted to ask about Robby,” he starts off, obviously unsure of himself. “I don’t know what you saw back at the Juvenile Detention or what you heard, but I just want to make sure he’s okay. And-And that he knows he’s not alone.”
Swallowing thickly, you glance around, noticing that Sam, Demetri and the rest had gone off after Daniel had all but excused them. Leaving just you. Good–you knew Sam and the rest still didn’t really know about Robby, or that he even was out of Juvie. And he didn’t want them to know. Robby had made sure that you promised not to tell anyone, and you weren’t about to break that trust with him.
“I don’t know where he’s staying,” you answer honestly–because the truth was you didn’t. “Robby said he had a plan and I didn’t want to pry. Just that he could always have a place at mine if he needed.” At the look Mr. Larusso sends you, you shake your head, laughing lightly. “He’s okay, though. I promise. He just needs time. I don’t know what happened between the two of you, and it’s not my place to but I think he just needs to figure out some stuff for himself.”
Mr. Larusso nods, a solemn expression on his face. “Truthfully, I didn’t even know the two of you were that close.”
Shrugging, you pull on the edges of your sleeves. “We can relate on a lot of things.”
“Okay, well, thank you, Y/N. You’re, uh, welcome to leave.”
You nod, moving to walk off, before you pause, “you, uh… is the All Valley really going to be canceled?”
Blinking at your question, Mr. Larusso raises a brow.
“I, uh, overheard you earlier.”
“Ah,” he smiles lightly, and you try to fight the light blush on your cheeks at having been caught eavesdropping. “I’m going to try to make sure it isn’t,” he smiles, setting a hand on your shoulder before squeezing gently. “It seems like we have a lot of new talent to showcase this year.”
Flushing, you shake your head; “I don’t know that I’m qualified, but I’d love to be able to see the others.”
Mr. Larusso just shakes his head, “you’re more skilled than you think, Y/N. You just need a bit of confidence.”
Feeling slightly renewed at his kind reassurance, you beam up at Mr. Larusso; “thank you, Mr. Larusso.” Then, moving to grab your bag off the floor, you turn to him one last time. “I should probably get going, my mom’s waiting for me.”
He sends you a wave, “I’ll see you at the next class, Y/N.”
-
“You’re joining Cobra Kai?”
“No,” Robby instantly argues, shaking his head. “Kreese just offered me a place to stay and I’m just taking advantage of that.”
Frowning, you eye Robby slowly, “I already said you could stay at mine,” you remind, shaking your head. “There’s no reason to stay there.”
“I don’t want to bother you. Besides, aren’t you and your mom just starting to get better?”
“Yeah,” you pause, “but that–”
“Meaning I would just get in the way of that.”
Crossing your arms over your chest, you frown (more like pout) at Robby. “I don’t like it,” you mumble, puffing your cheeks out. “I mean, Cobra Kai is what…” You can’t finish your words, a flash of Eli, and then Hawk snapping Demetri’s arm, and it hurts too much to think about so your words simply trail off.
But Robby already knows.
“I know what Cobra Kai can do,” Robby assures, voice somewhat softening as he registers just how upset you really are. “That’s why I’m not in it.”
You flicker your gaze upwards, eyeing him for a moment, really taking a look. He seems sincere, and you’ve never known Robby to lie to you before. He’s only ever told you the truth, and he’s confided in you more times than you can count, believed and trusted in you–so shouldn’t that mean you should just trust him now? What reason would he have in lying about something like that?
Especially when, yes, he does know what Cobra Kai can do to you.
“As long as you promise, no matter what, you won’t become like them,” then, pausing, you can’t stop yourself from adding; “like him.”
“Hawk?”
Frowning, you nod.
“I promise.”
“Good,” you bite your lip, “I believe you.”
Robby lets out a light laugh at the pout that’s still ever so present on your lips, shaking his head at the cute expression on your face as you pretend to still be mad at him when he knows you aren’t really.
“Have…” Pausing at your words, Robby waits patiently for you to find the words, seeing the clear struggle across your face as you stand before him. Your face is twisted, a clear look of discomfort crossing your eyes as you grip onto your sleeves tightly. “Have you seen Eli–Hawk?”
Oh.
Honestly, Robby hadn’t expected you to actually ask about him. After you’d told him what Hawk had done to Demetri, it was clear it was a touchy subject with you and it was honestly probably better just not to bring Hawk up when around you.
So for you…
“Yeah,” Robby nods, “just passing by. I haven’t really talked to him.”
“O-oh,” you mumble, nodding.
But Robby feels like there’s still more you want to ask.
“He’s okay,” Robby says slowly, unsure, a little uncomfortable. “I think. From what I can tell.”
“I don’t care,” you argue, shaking your head, the words coming out a little too rushed. “I mean, I, well, I shouldn’t. I don’t.”
And it all makes sense then.
“You still love him don’t you?”
Your eyes widen at his words, shock crossing your features as you finally raise your head to meet his gaze properly. And your lips part to argue, wanting to argue, but all it takes is one look at Robby and you know you can’t.
You can’t lie
“Yeah,” you whisper, “I do.”
And oddly, Robby finds himself disappointed by your answer.
-
“Well, this Christmas party is turning out to be ho-ho-horrible.”
You can’t really argue with Demetri.
When Sam had invited you over for a Christmas party with the rest of Miyagi-Do, you had expected… more music? More chatting? More… fun? More than just sitting on the couch in awkward silence, Demetri eating popcorn next to you while Sam anxiously paced in front of you all, at least.
“Yeah, Sam,” Chris agrees. “I thought you said your parents gonna be out for the night. So why aren’t we throwing a rager?”
“Yeah.”
“There’s a keg on the way,” she explains, a nervous smile crossing her features. “It’s just gonna be a few more minutes.”
Frowning, you sit up; “can we at least put on a Christmas special?”
“Yeah,” Demetri nods at you, “I’d even watch that creepy one with the little elf dentist.” At the look he receives, Demetri laughs; “yeah, I’m that bored.”
Just as Sam moves to say something, the doorbell rings.
“It’s here!”
Finally, you can’t help but think, leaning on Demetri slightly as all of you turn to watch Sam open the door.
Except it’s not a keg that’s waiting on the other side of the door. It’s Miguel and… the rest of Cobra Kai? Or was it even considered Cobra Kai anymore? Miguel had been pretty explicit when telling you that he had no intentions of joining Cobra Kai now that John Kreese was the sensei and not Johnny.
Before you know it, Demetri, Chris and the others all jump to their feet, instantly coming to face Miguel and his friends. There’s a chorus of anger that passes around from both sides as everyone argues at the opposing sides appearance–but the only two who don’t seem angered or confused are Sam and Miguel… explaining Sam’s anxiousness from earlier. Clearly, the two had planned this.
So, that was a thing now too, apparently.
Moving to stand yourself, you let out a deep breath at Chris as he huffs; “Oh, h*ll no! You gotta be kidding me.”
“What the h*ll are you doing here?” Mitch snaps right back, “this isn’t a keg party. I bought this hat for nothing!”
“Wait,” Demetri calls out, “you Parent Trapped us? Why?”
“Look,” Sam moves to explain, “I know we haven’t always gotten along, but Cobra Kai is the bigger threat now. To all of us.”
Meeting Miguel’s gaze, you bite your lip.
“We think we’d stand a better chance against them if we joined forces,” Miguel adds, nodding to Sam’s words. “Two dojos is better than one.”
Shrugging your shoulders, you step forward, standing in between both dojos. “Sounds good to me,” you comply, smiling lightly as you let your eyes flicker across everyone. “I mean, why not right?”
“Absolutely not,” Chris argues, shaking his head at you. “Are you crazy? This is ridiculous.”
“I know, right?”
“Look, I know we’ve all done sh*tty things to each other,” Miguel reminds.
“Yeah,” Chris nods, turning to Mitch. “Like breaking Demetri’s arm.”
“Hey!” Mitch calls out, stepping forward to defend himself. “You guys started that fight.”
“After you almost got me fired!”
“God,” eyes flickering lower, you raise a brow as Bert turns to Nate. “I hate your st*pid face so much.”
“If you died, I wouldn’t even attend your funeral.”
What in the world…?
“I don’t know, guys,” you call out, turning to Sam and Miguel. “I don’t think this is gonna work.”
“It has to,” Sam argues. “We have one last chance to make things right. Alone, we’re nothing. But if we work together, we have a shot. If we can’t get over the past, the fighting will never end. We have to confront our enemies. This rivalry has to stop. One way or another.”
-
Surprisingly, it was Demetri that got the fighting to stop.
If anyone had a reason not to forgive, it was him. It might’ve been Eli who actually broke his arm, but some of the boys there had helped. Had been a witness and done nothing to stop or help Demetri. And yet…
“Hey, p*ssies!”
You reel back as Demetri slams his hand on the coffee table, pushing himself to stand as he grabs everyone's attention.
“This is exactly what those a**holes at Cobra Kai want. Since you were one of ‘em,” he gestures to Bert and Mitch, “you’re an a**hole too.” Turning to Chris, he nods. “So are you. So was I. Well, at least I wanted to be one. But now Cobra Kai is the worst collection of a**holes in the Valley, run by the king of all a**holes. So if by merging with Eagle Fang… weird name, by the way,” you laugh lightly–leave it to Demetri to still add that in. “Can keep us all from getting shit on anymore, then we’d all be a**holes not to do it.”
Faltering slightly, Demetri pauses; “I’m sorry for all the a**holes. I usually take pride in my grandiloquence, but… it’s an emotional time.”
One look around the room and you can tell, whether they want to or not, everyone agrees with Demetri.
A fact which is reinforced when Bert and Mitch move to sit back down.
“Very well said if you ask me, Demetri,” you say, pulling his eyes on you as you smile brightly at him.
He nods, slightly breathless, “now… where do we start?”
-
Things had almost been going… perfect.
Well, basically perfect.
Good enough.
And then Cobra Kai showed up.
Of course they did.
After Bert had been thrown through the window, beaten up no less, it had, as it usually did, gone into a full out brawl. Everyone was fighting. You saw Tory gaining on Sam, and Kyler heading for Miguel. You watched as Hawk started fighting Chris and everyone just started fighting, like they always did.
You were sick of the fighting.
Sick of hurting people, watching others get hurt. Sam had gone frozen the last time Tory had come, and you could only imagine how she was now… Miguel had just gotten out of a coma, shortly thereafter learning how to walk all over again and now he was expected to fight... again? You didn’t even want to imagine Demetri and if… if Eli found him again…
What if he hurt him again?
What if he did something worse this time?
It feels like you’re having a panic attack, everything around you blurring to nothing as you feel your heart start to pound madly against your chest. You thought you were doing better, you thought you were healing, despite nothing really being solved. You thought if you just… pushed Eli from your thoughts, focused on yourself, your mom, Miguel, Robby… Demetri–that things would be better. That you’d get better.
But it was too much. All of it.
You joined Miyagi-Do to find yourself, to find peace, but all you’d done since you’d join was fight and watch your friends get hurt.
You didn’t want to watch your friends get hurt again.
And then that same asshole, the one from the mall, the one that cornered you at the school finds you once more. It’s him and one other, gaining on you, and you can’t help but wonder what the h*ll you did to this kid to make him hate you this much.
It didn’t matter though, did it?
By the smirk on his lips he had every intention of fighting you, and something told you he didn’t intend on losing like he did last time.
Ducking as he swings a kick at you, you narrowly miss the hit, your body feeling off as you stumble over your own two feet. The other one takes this to his advantage, landing a nasty hit on your side as you grunt in pain, gripping the offended spot tightly. You kick your leg out, managing to hit him but then the other one comes rushing forward, flipping himself around before landing a kick across your face.
You fall to your knees in response, stunning yourself as the pain radiates across your body.
You were stronger than this–you knew you were stronger than this. But you couldn’t think straight, it felt like your walls were closing in on you and it was getting harder to breathe by the second. It wasn’t even so much yourself that you were worried about…
It was everyone else.
Your friends.
It was the fact that you were never strong enough to help any of your friends.
“Grab her.”
Two hands wrap themselves around your arms, pulling you back enough that you can see the boy before you now. He has that stupid smirk still plastered on his face, an expression of glee clearly in his eyes as he regards you, completely at his mercy.
Your eyes fall shut as he moves towards you, expecting the worst.
Except nothing ever happens.
Suddenly the hands holding you are gone and your eyes open as you move to catch yourself, turning just in time to see Demetri and Eli. At first your chest tightens with worry, but then the two are looking at each other, nodding, before grasping each other by the hand. Demetri turns, pulling Eli with him to give the latter the momentum to swing up, leg kicking out to hit the boy directly in the face.
Effectively knocking him to the ground.
When you glance back in front of you, the other one is knocked to the ground as well.
Your lips part in shock as the realization settles in, turning back to Eli and Demetri as the two finally turn to you. Demetri’s rushing over to you without hesitation, moving to help you stand up, and you let him do so numbly, not even really registering what he’s doing. Your attention is focused on Eli, who as opposed to Demetri seems a lot more hesitant to approach you.
“It’s okay, Y/N,” Demetri suddenly calls, pulling your eyes on him briefly. “He… Eli switched sides and he apologized.”
You don’t know what to say.
The words seem caught in the back of your throat.
What do you even say to that?
“I’ll, uh, well I’ll just leave you two to it.”
Demetri’s sending you one last smile before walking off–you barely even register him leaving. All of a sudden it’s just you and Eli, and it’s like everything else fades to the back of your mind. All the fighting, all the chaos. None of it matters.
“Demetri’s telling the truth. I…” Eli steps towards you, “I am so sorry. For everything.”
You hadn’t ever thought you’d hear the words.
Actually hear them.
Lips parting, you can’t help the hope that floods you, the warmth that floods through your chest as you stare back at him.
“You mean it?” You find yourself whispering, voice barely audible as you stare up at him.
“Yeah,” he nods, “I really am sorry. To Demetri, to everyone but most of all, I’m sorry for what I did to you.”
Perhaps he doesn’t deserve to be forgiven so quickly. Somewhere deep in your heart you know he probably doesn’t. But as you’d admitted to Robby, you were still in love with him. Despite everything he’d done, you… you knew you loved Eli. You’ve loved him for as long as you can remember and you’d been waiting to hear him say those words for… so long that it felt like a miracle just hearing them.
Hearing him actually say it.
So, you can’t really stop yourself before you’re suddenly jumping forward, all but throwing yourself into his arms as you press your face into the crook of his neck. Eli stumbles back slightly in response, obviously stunned, before slowly his arms move to wrap around your waist, squeezing back just as tightly.
Then, as a moment passes, you pull back, just enough to see his face.
For a brief second you don’t realize how close you two are, staring into his eyes, before your own gaze travels to his lips and suddenly you feel yourself flushing out of embarrassment, pulling away from him in the next second. There’s a blush on his cheeks too as he lets go of you, the both of you stepping back, avoiding each other's gazes.
You... You haven’t been that close to him in so long that, well... you just didn’t know how to react.
“We should…”
“Yeah…”
“Yeah, okay.”
He’s nodding, turning, and you’re following him, both of you making your way over to Miguel who’d just finished knocking Kyler off of him.
But, as you walk, you can’t help the smile that curls onto your lips.
-
“Oh my God, Y/N!”
Pulling back slightly at your mothers grip on your cheeks, you let her look across you, fussing particularly over the bruise on your cheek.
“Are you okay?” She cries out, worry clear in her gaze as she stares down at you. “When you called me, I rushed over as soon as I–”
“Mom. Mom!”
Falling silent at your voice, she stares back at you.
“I’m okay,” you nod, smiling lightly.
She just sighs, “really?”
“Yeah,” you assure. “More than okay, actually. I’m… I’m great.”
Brows furrowed in confusion, your mom shakes her head.
Glancing over your shoulder, you smile as you notice Eli making his way out of Sam’s house. He catches your gaze just as he moves to turn, the surprised look on his face morphing to a soft smile, one that you find yourself unable to stop yourself from returning.
Turning to your mom, you nod.
“I think things are finally getting better.”

-If Kate Argent was Eli’s Biological Mother-
disclaimer my grammar is the worst bcs english is not my first languange but enjoy.
“Tell me a story about this house. Dad told me a minor details about it.” Eli sat beside you while you read a novel book at living room.
You marked the last page you were read and closed it. “Okay, which minor detail he told you about?”
“That this house were rebuild.”
You nodded. “Yeah this house were rebuilt around 10 years ago. It was a Hale family mansion.”
He frowned. “You and dad never told me about your parents, my grandparents.”
You smirked. “You already knew my parents passed due to car crash. And you have a grandfather named Noah Stilinski and uncle named Stiles.”
“I mean from dad’s side. I never knew them.” It was so cute when Eli so curious about the ancestors.
“It supposed to be your dad, the one who had to explained all that to you. But i’ll do it. So… a very long time ago, your dad used to live in this old formed house with your grandmother Talia, Laura, Cora, and Peter, and other pack member i didn’t know. Until one day Hale mansion caught on fire while Derek and Laura were at school. Turned out, someone set the house on fire and it was Kate Argent, your… birth mother.”
“What? Kate Argent was the one who burned out this house?” He looked so outrageous, his eyes glowed yellow and you immediately held his hand.
“Honey, it’s all in the past. Your dad could get through it, and now look at him. He rebuilt this house, for us. So that we could live happily here. To keep all the memories of Hale family. He wanted this house to be a sanctuary for his kids, you and Talia. And now he went to South America so aunt Cora and her daughter could live together with us.” You explained it to him.
He nodded and hugged you.

Questions
Olivia Benson X Reader
*not my gif*
Standing outside of the school Olivia waits for Noah to come running out. You didn’t work today but Olivia insisted she pick Noah up so you could finish out your day off before the two headed home. The bells ring and children come flooding out of the school. All excited to be free and in the arms of their parents. Noah comes barreling towards Olivia hugging her legs. Olivia bends down to kiss his face and hug him tightly. Pushing up onto her feet the two begin to walk towards the apartment hand in hand.
Noah is talking a mile and minute telling Olivia about his day and what he learned. Olivia smiles and listens to the young boy talk. Noah stops for a second with a look on his face.
“Mom what’s a milf?” Noah asked titling his head to the side in confusion.
“What! Where did you hear that?” Olivia asked.
“Eli heard his older brother tell his friends that my moms were milfs. What does it mean?”
Olivia ponders an answer for the young boy coming up at a loss. Thankfully they’ve reached the apartment building so maybe she can distract him.
“Honey, I’m sure momma is inside cooking. Let’s go see what we’re having for dinner. We’ll talk about that later okay?” Olivia asked the boy. He smiles nodding his head.
The two of them walk into the apartment and Noah takes off to greet you. His arms wrapping around your lower half.
“Hi Mommaa .” He says smiling up at you.
“Hi baby. Did you have a good day?”
Noah nods.
“Buddy why don’t you go upstairs and play before dinner is ready. Okay?” Olivia suggests. Noah agrees and runs upstairs towards his bedroom. Olivia waits until he is out of sight before coming up behind you wrapping her arms around your body.
“Hi sweetheart.” Olivia breathes into your hair. Her lips leaving kisses along your neck up to your jawline.
“Well hello.” You chuckle.
“You’ll never guess what Noah asked me?”
“What’s that?”
“He wanted to know what a milf was. Apparently his friends older brother called us that.”
You throw your head back in laughter and you continue to cook.
“Why is this funny to you?”
“Because it’s true. You’re a milf.” You laugh turning around in her arms to face her.
“How do you figure that?” She asked with raised eyebrows.
“Well..your a mom I like to fuck.” You tell her shrugging your shoulders.
“Shut up!” Olivia laughs rolling her eyes at you.
“Well it’s true.” You laugh leaning in to kiss her. Olivia chuckles into the kissing pulling you closer into her body.

Taken (Modern AU) - Ch 18
*Not my gif, found on google lol* Paring: Alcina Dimitrescu x Fem!Reader Series: Taken (Modern AU) Taglist
Warnings: little bits of angst, crying, violence, anger. AN: Well hello. Long time no see. A long chapter for you all as thanks for your patience. Things are about to go downhill... You have no idea what I’ve planned for this story. Intalica are flashbacks as always.
•
When you woke the next morning, the first thing you noticed was the arm around you. It wasn’t the arm you had gotten used to though. This was smaller. Not as small as Elijah’s but close. You opened your eyes and was met by red hair.
You looked down slightly and saw Daniela sleeping up against you, her face on your collarbone. You turned your head and saw Cassandra behind you and Bela up against Alcina.
You smiled and laid your head back down, feeling yourself relax. A few minutes later you felt the bed move and turned your head to see Alcina standing from the bed.
Your eyes met and she gave you a soft smile. “I’m gonna go down and make some breakfast”, she whispered and you nodded, feeling Daniela’s arm around you tightening at your movement.
“Where’s Eli?”, you asked and Alcina smiled nodding towards the space between Bela and Cassandra.
“He came in shortly after you fell asleep”, she whispered and you nodded. She walked over to you and kissed your cheek making you smile before leaving the room. It didn’t take you long to fall back asleep and you did with a smile on your lips.
•
Alcina walked into her house and could immediately hear screaming and crying and frowned quickly walking further in. The crying came from the kitchen and she walked in, freezing on the spot.
Jeremy stood by the stove, holding a crying Cassandra while a screaming Daniela sat in the corner of the room. Alcina sighed and turned to Daniela who kept screaming. “What did she do?”, she asked walking over to him and took Cassandra into her arms, the girl instantly hiding her face in her mother’s neck.
“She hit Cassandra in the face and is having her timeout”
Alcina widened her eyes and forced her daughter’s head back so she could see her face and surely a blue mark was slowly forming on her eyebrow. Alcina turned to Daniela who instantly stopped screaming as she noticed the hard eyes from her mother.
“Where’s Bela?”
“Sleeping”, Jeremy answered looking to the soup. “Gained a small fever this morning”
Alcina sighed deeply. This was definitely not what she had hoped to come home to after her day in the studio. She was slowly beginning to come back to her music career and was writing and producing her music every other day she could.
“Alright. I’ll take this one to bed”, she said nodded towards Cassandra and Jeremy nodded.
“Take her to your bedroom. Bela is sleeping in her own bed at the moment. And I’ll see to that one in the mean time”, he nodded towards Daniela.
Alcina nodded and walked up the stairs to her bedroom. She pulled the covers back and placed the girl down in the bed. As soon as she let go, Cassandra whined. “Mommy”
“I know honey, sleep”
The girl cried for a few seconds until tiredness took over and fell asleep not even two minutes later. Alcina pulled the covers over her daughter’s small body and kissed her forehead before leaving the room.
She walked into the girls’ bedroom and discovered Bela sleeping in her crib. She walked over and took her daughter into her arms, holding her close.
She could instantly feel the heat of her daughter’s forehead and kissed it gently, her lips lingering as she patted her back softly. “I love you so much”, she whispered into the little girl’s ear.
•
“I have not taken your stupid eyeliner Cass, I’ve told you already!”, Daniela yelled and you widened your eyes at the sound. That was loud. You were all sitting by the breakfast table, eating together when the brunette had come running in multiple times to ask who took her eyeliner.
You turned and saw Bela rolling her eyes, while Alcina closed her eyes in a deep sigh. “Daughters can we please just have one peaceful family breakfast together”, she pleaded which you somehow found hilarious and snorted into your coffee.
“But mom she keeps accusing me of stealing her stuff and I’m sick of it!”, Daniela argued and Bela took a huge sip of her coffee.
“I know darling, but you don’t have to yell”
Daniela sighed and took a sip of her juice. You turned to Elijah who was, surprisingly not affected by the outbursts, eating his cereal with a smile on his face.
“Ma-maybe she-she she lost it”, he said casually and you chuckled removing some of his hair from his face. It was getting rather long now that you looked at it.
“Yeah she probably did honey”, you said. You turned to Alcina who gave you a smile which you returned.
“Good morning everyone”, a voice said and you all turned to see Jeremy walking down the stairs.
“Hey dad, how’s your head?”
Jeremy turned to his youngest and gave her a tired smile. “Better, thanks Dani”
Daniela smiled as she received a kiss to her head by her father before the man walked to the kitchen. Alcina stood from the table and followed him, Bela keeping an eye out as she did. “B”, you called her out and the girl turned to you. “It’s okay”
Bela nodded and looked back at the door to the kitchen for a moment before turning back to her breakfast.
“Are you not gonna eat with us?”, Alcina asked the moment the door was closed. Jeremy sighed leaning against the counter. Alcina could see how hard he was struggling to stand. Hell he could barely concentrate.
“Jer?”
“I’m fine Alcina”, he said annoyed, but Alcina knew he was lying. She always knew.
“Are you? I know you Jeremy”
“You don’t know anything Alcina!”, he suddenly yelled and Alcina widened her eyes. She stood tall and walked up to him.
“Then talk to me. What happened two days ago?”
Jeremy sighed. “It’s nothing Alci. Forget it”
“Nothing?”, she pressed on. “You came home to me, at god knows what time in the middle of the night, blood all around your face, not to mention you scared my son”
“I didn’t mean to scare him”
“He can barely find the courage to walk down the stairs himself Jeremy!”, she hissed and Jeremy sighed looking down.
“Is it about money? Are you in debt?”, she asked hesitantly. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to know, but figured she needed to. She knew about his past. What he has been through and what kinds of people he’s been seen with.
“Alcina–“
“How much?”, she immediately stopped him and the man groaned and walked around her to exit the kitchen but he didn’t get far as Alcina took a hold of his arm.
“How much?”
She didn’t have time to react and she gasped as he pushed her up against the fridge. “Stop asking me that!”, he yelled.
You and the girls instantly heard it. You stood from your seat and placed your hand on Bela’s shoulder, mentally telling her to stay put. You walked inside the kitchen and for just a second, you froze as you saw Jeremy holding Alcina against the fridge.
But you quickly shook your head and walked over, pulling the man off of her. You may be smaller then the two of them, but they weren’t anything you hadn’t handled before.
“What the hell is wrong with you?!”, you hissed standing in front of Alcina and Jeremy looked at you with wide eyes.
“Al… Alcina I… I’m so sorry”
“Take a walk Jeremy”, you said. Jeremy nodded and walked out of the kitchen, but stopped at the door and turned to Alcina to see if she was angrier than he thought.
By the looks in her eyes, she was more than angry. She was furious. And you weren’t much better. “I’ll call you”, he said and left the kitchen, taking the door to the entrance so the girls didn’t see him.
Once you and Alcina where alone you turned to her and instantly went for her neck, checking to make sure he hadn’t hurt her. And Alcina noticed. “I’m fine”, she said and you looked up at her, worry filling your eyes more than she had ever seen before.
“What happened?”, you asked in a soft voice. Alcina sighed looking down and you waited patiently for her.
“I fear Jeremy is mixed in something bad. Really bad”
“Wha- like what? Drugs? Gang members?”
“I don’t know. But I intent to find out”, Alcina said. “If he’s involved in anything dangerous, I do not want him around our children”
You nodded and placed your hand on her collarbone, caressing it softly. “Alcina–“
“Mom! Mom what happened, why is dad leaving?!”, Daniela came running inside the kitchen and you both turned to her. The girl immediately discovered the small bruise on her mother’s collarbone and widened her eyes.
“What… wha-what did he do?”
Alcina sighed and walked over to her youngest, pulling her in for a tight hug immediately. “I’m fine darling”
“Mom!”, Daniela groaned pulling back from the hug to look in her mother’s eyes. “That’s not what I asked”
You could see the anger in Daniela’s eyes. It was obvious she had seen Jeremy leave somehow despite the man taking the other door. Alcina looked down at her for a moment taking a deep breath.
“He…”
“Mother?”
You all turned to Bela who stood in the doorway to the living room and Alcina knew she couldn’t keep this from her girls. “What happened?”
It was then you decided to step in and placed your hand on Daniela’s shoulder. “Go and clean the table. Let your mother have a few minutes”
They both hesitated for a moment before nodding and walking out of the kitchen, leaving you alone. You turned to Alcina and the woman sighed giving you a small smile.
“Thank you”, she whispered and you nodded in understanding. You stood for a few minutes in silence, Alcina getting her breath back. You waited with patience for her to get back to her state, leaning against the counter. Alcina stood by the counter as well, a few meters away. A few minutes went by before you suddenly felt her arm around your waist. You turned your head and she was looking down at you, her eyes watering just slightly.
She raised her hand slowly and covered your cheek, caressing it softly with her thump. She stared into your eyes, and you found it hard to read her eyes. She looked… almost lost… like she didn’t know what to do or say.
Alcina pulled you from your thoughts as she leaned down and her lips covered yours, kissing you deeply. You kissed her back, feeling her arm pulling you closer to her. She deepened the kiss and your felt her tongue begging for entrance which you immediately invited in, tongues meeting.
It was as if time slowed down. Everything about it was so soft and tender. The touches, the kiss, the breathing, the whole situation.
You felt her arm around you tightening making you pull back from the kiss, Alcina continuing kissing your cheek and down your jaw and neck. “Alcina”
The woman immediately stopped at the sound of your voice. She could hear the seriousness and knew she had to stop. You both stood still in the kitchen, the silence weighing heavy in the aroma.
You brought your hand to her cheek and pulled her back from your neck just enough to meet her eyes with yours. You saw tears forming in them, one of them falling down her cheek. You instantly dried it away with your thump making her swallow hard. “It’s okay”, you whispered. She looked into your eyes, searching for anything that would hint disapproval but all she saw was acceptance and she placed her forehead on your shoulder, crying softly.
A few minutes went by before she breathed out and hugged you close. “Thank you”, she whispered and you nodding, hugging her tight.
•
“Do you think dad hurt mom?”, Daniela asked into the silence as all three girls sat on Bela’s room. Cassandra and Bela sat in the bed while Daniela sat on the floor next to Elijah who was playing with some of his toys.
“I don’t know Dani”, Bela answered and Cassandra turned to her older sister.
“It sounded pretty harsh”
“I know, but–“
“If he hurt mom, I’m not sure I want to have him in my life”, Daniela interrupted and that made both sisters turn to her. Daniela ignored their stares, focusing on Elijah as he sat in between her legs and played with his Spider-Man figure.
“Dani–“
“Nobody hurts mom! Not even dad. I don’t care how much he cares or why he did it. Nobody hurts her”, the younger triplet interrupted once again and Bela sighed turning to Cassandra who simply stared at Daniela.
Elijah noticed the tension in the room, not to mention he definitely heard and understood Daniela’s outburst. He turned around and looked up at her. Daniela looked into his small brown eyes and he tilted his head to the side, observing her carefully.
“Why you sad Dani?”
Daniela sighed and brought him in for a hug, the boy immediately holding onto her with his small hands. “I’m okay bud”, she whispered. “I’m okay”
A knock was heard on the door and Bela gave permission to walk in, Alcina walking in a second later. You walked in right after her and looked down at Daniela and Elijah.
“Come Eli, let’s get you a nice warm bath”, you said and Elijah nodded, standing from his seat. He walked over to you and took your hand into his own. You looked up meeting Alcina’s eyes before walking out of the bedroom. Alcina sighed and turned to her daughters who were all staring back at her.
“I’m okay”, was the first thing she said and they all kept quiet, not sure if they believed her.
“Are you?”
Daniela was the only one who voiced the concern and Alcina turned to her youngest on the floor. She walked over and sat down on the bed by Bela and Cassandra’s legs. Daniela turned on the floor and looked up at her mother.
“Come darling”, Alcina whispered and Daniela immediately got up and sat on her mother’s lap. Alcina knew she had to speak with her daughters. And despite them barely being adults, she wanted to be honest with them.
“My collarbone hurts. But it will be better”, she said honestly and Bela instantly moved closer, pulling her mother’s shirt away so she could see, Daniela unbuttoning it as she did.
Cassandra simply stared, tears forming in her eyes. Alcina simply let it happen, knowing she couldn’t stop them. She met Cassandra’s eyes and gave her an assuring smile.
“He left a bruise”, Daniela said softly and placed her hand gently on top of it. Alcina hissed a little and Daniela immediately pulled her hand back.
“It’s okay darling”, Alcina whispered and took her daughter’s hand into her own, placing it back on the bruise.
“There’s something I should tell you. About your father”
They all turned to her and gave her their full attention. “A few years after you three were born… your father’s parents passed away”, she started out.
“Your father’s father, had a bad past, getting mixed with the wrong people. He owed a lot of money and since he was now dead, they went for your father”
“What kind of people?”, Daniela asked and Alcina couldn’t blame her curiosity. She knew her own words.
“Your grandfather ran a drug unit down in Chinatown. One day they went bankrupt while still owing a lot of money to other gangs”, she explained. The girls sat still, still listening to her and Alcina was surprised. She had expected Cassandra to at least go out of the room by now, but that was not the case. She sat still in the bed, her arms crossed as she listened.
“The gang… they… they killed him didn’t they?”, Cassandra asked in a small voice and Alcina sighed shaking her head.
“No. They didn’t get that far”, she said and Bela sighed closing her eyes. She knew exactly what that meant.
“Your father found him… hanging from the ceiling”, Alcina said slowly, confirming it. That seemed to be the line and Cassandra left the bedroom, a tear falling down her cheek.
“I’ll talk to her”, Alcina said and turned to Daniela. “Your father is still paying the debt to this day. And yes I have offered to help out, but he refuses my help”, she said turning to Bela who she knew was about to suggest it.
“He doesn’t want me involved and I understand that”
“Mother you saw him. You saw his face that night. They’re killing him”, Bela said. Alcina sighed nodding, stroking Daniela’s back.
“I know darling. I know”
•
“Mommy?”
You shook your head, completely lost in thought and turned to Elijah as he sat in the bathtub.
“Yeah honey?“
“Is mama okay?”
You smiled softly and stroked his cheek. “She’ll be fine honey”
Elijah nodded and looked down at his rubber duck. You washed his hair, making sure to rub it nicely in. His hair was just like Carol’s. Curly and thick. And god it was a mess when he chose to curl it around between his fingers. Always made so many knots and it was a nightmare to get out. You didn’t have counts on how many hours you’ve used, tearing out the knots.
“Mommy?”
“Yeah honey?”
Elijah looked up at you and you noticed the silence and turned to him, meeting his eyes. “What is it bud?”
“Are… are you and mama gon-gon-gonna get married?”
You smiled and looked down at the rubber duck. “I don’t know honey. Maybe one day”
Elijah nodded accepting the answer and went back to his rubber duck, playing with it in the water.
Truth be told you didn’t know if you even wanted to get married again. Having already been married once was great and all, but being married again? And losing the person again? You couldn’t do that.
But a small part of you wanted nothing more than to marry Alcina. She was such an amazing woman who loved you more than anything. She was sweet, loving, kind, generous and all in all, the perfect partner. Could she be the perfect wife?
“Mommy I think my hair is clean”, Elijah’s voice interrupted you and you shook your head and looked down at his hair, filled with nothing but white shampoo.
“Sorry honey. Let’s get you cleaned up”
Once you had gotten him ready for the day, you walked down the stairs and saw the girls sitting in the living room, watching tv.
“Girls, where’s your mother?”
“Office”, they all said in unison and you nodded walking towards the office while Elijah ran over to the girls and sat in between Cassandra and Bela.
You knocked gently on the door, walking in when you heard the invitation. “Hey”, you greeted softly, watching Alcina as she sat by her desk, walking over a few files on the surface.
You walked over and stood next to her. Out of instinct, she pushed her chair out a bit and brought you closer to her, by her arm around your waist. You smiled at the action, being used to it by now.
“How are you feeling?”, you asked softly, your hand wandering up to stroke her neck softly, earning a moan from the woman.
“Better. Spoke to the girls. They’re obviously sad, frustrated”, she said slowly.
“Of course they are Alcina. You’re their mother. They love you. I would be furious to if someone hurt my mother”
Alcina nodded. She understood. But she didn’t want her daughters to hate Jeremy for the rest of their lives. It wasn’t his fault his father couldn’t pay his debt. He does what he can to pay back.
“There’s something I should tell you”, she said. About Jeremy”
“Okay”
Alcina used the next half an hour explaining everything to you and you took it in, still clinging onto her once she was finished.
“I’m not expecting you to stay or leave or anything. I know this is a tough situation and –“
“Wow leave?”, you interrupted. Alcina furrowed her eyebrows at you nodding.
“Ye-yes… my family isn’t safe… these people could come–“
“Alcina stop”
Alcina immediately stopped, noticing the harshness in your voice and you saw her swallowing hard. Tears were forming in her eyes and you sighed covering her cheek. “I love you so much”, she cried out in a whisper making your whole body shake.
“I’m not going anywhere”, you kissed her cheek and she moved her head, instantly connecting her lips to yours, kissing you deeply.
•
You took a look at her collarbone later that day, making sure it wasn’t misplaced or broken. Luckily it was just a small bruise and you gave her some painkillers.
You decided to make dinner that night, spaghetti with bolognese. Could never go wrong with that right?
Daniela happily helped out, the love for making food beyond what you had expected in any of the girls. Bela and Elijah watched cartoons while Alcina talked with Cassandra. Or rather stayed next to her while the girl was sleeping.
They had talked. For a long time. Cassandra had been absolutely broken by the thought of someone hurting her mother, let alone that someone being her father.
She had cried the moment Alcina had taken her into her arms and the woman had happily given her all the love she could give, making sure that her daughter knew she was okay and everything was gonna be fine.
Cassandra had cried her heart out, holding onto her mother for dear life. It hadn’t taken long before the girl fell asleep with tears still streaming down her face.
And when you went to get them in Cassandra’s bedroom, you discovered both mother and daughter asleep, Cassandra still holding onto her mother. You smiled at the sight, making sure to take a picture before leaving the room once again.
You made sure to put some of the food away for them to eat later before serving the rest for the others. Dinner was fairly quiet and you noticed the girls weren’t as happy and cheerful as they used to be. Which you had expected. Especially from girls their age as well.
“Why are you all so quiet?”, a voice asked and you all turned to see Alcina and Cassandra waking towards you.
“Hi, I left some food for the two of you in the fridge. I wasn’t sure if you would wake before we were finished”, you explained and she nodded.
“I’ll go get it”
She squeezed your shoulder before walking to the kitchen. You watched her leave before turning to Cassandra who sat down next to Bela. “You okay Cass?”, you asked and the girl turned to you, nodding.
You gave a nod back and stood from your seat, walking out to the kitchen. You stopped in the doorway and watched Alcina taking the food from the boxes on two plates.
You walked over behind her and brought your arms around her, kissing her back.
“You okay?”, you asked softly and she toned around, meeting your eyes.
“I am. Thank you”
You smiled and leaned up, kissing her cheek. “Come on. Eli’s been anxious to have you by his side”
Alcina chuckled and pecked your lips before walking to the dining table, placing one of the plates in front of Cassandra. The girl smiled softly to herself and began eating quietly. Alcina smiled at the sight and kissed her temple before sitting down next to her.
“Mama”, Elijah called her out and the woman turned to him.
“Yes Elijah?“
“Can you and mommy make a baby?”
The drink that Daniela had been sipping, ended on the table and Cassandra choked on her spaghetti, a fork sounding on a plate.
Alcina choked on her own drink while you widened your eyes mortification.

The Beta Team That Never Was - Fanfiction Corner (BH6 Edition)
So all of this Peni Parker comic talk actually got me thinking about the process of her being included in my fanfiction.
I wish I could tell you it was a long and arduous process, but...
OK, maybe some of it was hard. But when you have a virtually endless supply of Marvel characters that you can use for possible teammates for Big Hero 6, you have to go with your gut.
We all know that the team will be Robbie, Aspen, Peni, Doreen (eventually), and Kate. But there were six other candidates that could have been in the mix as well.
And five of them have their emblems here:
These were made before I actually knew how to make hero emblems properly.
Some of them you might recognize. Some you may not. But we’re going to go through them all, from left to right.
And to start...it’s really hard to draw tiny hearts.
1.) Riri Williams/Ironheart - Ironically enough, it was around the time that Hiro started chasing Sirque around the town in “Portal Enemy” that I started brainstorming her. A teenage genius, stuck as to what to make, sees “Captain Cutie” and the chase on the news and gets brainstorming.
Thus, the Power Armor is born.
And she gets so excited that she bolts off to San Fransokyo to show her idol what she’s created.
And then, as per the Big Hero 6 Fanfiction Clause states...shenanigans ensue.
It was an interesting possibility, but the thought of Ironheart was really late into me doing the backstories of the people that I had chosen, so she was pushed aside. I don’t personally see me revisiting her in the future, but who knows?
2.) Nadia Van Dyne/The Wasp - Back when Karmi had first been pulled out of SFIT, there was a young woman who wanted to recruit her into a special organization. It was one that brought together the greatest female minds in their fields, and Karmi was on said recruitment list.
The organization?
Genius In action Research Labs, or G.I.R.L. for short. And it was led by the Wasp’s daughter, Nadia Pym (later changed to Nadia Van Dyne).
Plot-wise, this was probably the person that I got the farthest with, since the story would’ve been more of a focus on Karmi than anyone else. Also, the idea of writing someone with Bipolar Disorder (which Nadia was confirmed to have in her latest solo run) was intriguing if nothing else.
Unfortunately, it sort of dried up from there. A lack of a central conflict, uncertainty as to how many of the other girls (Taina, Priya, Shay, and Ying) to have, and how to handle her actual powers stopped it cold.
But seriously, how do you write in the ability to shrink to microscopic size? That’s not really a thing, even in a world as futuristic as San Fransokyo.
3.) America Chavez/Ms. America - The mere idea of a Superman-esque Latina teenager was enticing, especially because America, in her relatively short comic history, was with the Ultimates and the West Coast Avengers (meaning there was a possible Kate/Hawkeye angle). Making start-shaped portals was the Silent Sparrow angle, and the all-around badass, headstrong attitude would be the counter to Honey Lemon’s more nurturing personality.
But being from an alternate universe (which has very recently been retconned in the comics in part because she will be appearing in the MCU and Doctor Strange 2), no real villain to play off of, and becoming possibly way too overpowered for the BH6 universe, she was scrapped.
It’s quite a shame. I really like her in the comics that she’s in. Perhaps there will be an opportunity for her somewhere down the line...
4.) Alison Blaire/Dazzler - A pop star with light-based powers?
Or better yet, a struggling artist with acoustikinesis?
Her power to convert sound into light was what originally drew me to her. Something that could be made into a technological ability, unique enough to put a (pardon the pun) spotlight on it.
An actual blonde instead of whatever HL’s hair color is.
Heck, she even has a half-sister named Lois that could have been the antagonist (death tough, destruction waves, and the like).
But she quickly got lost in the fold. Better ideas (like Kate and Doreen) got more of my brainstorming, and she was eventually given up on.
But funnily enough...
It’s almost like she’s already in the show.
(See, for the people who may be new, one of the many Marvel theories that I’ve touched upon is that High Voltage is actually this universe’s version of Dazzler. Juniper is Alison and Barb is...well...Barbara London, Alison’s mom).
Hey, @baymaksu totally agrees with me kinda sort of.
5.) Cindy Moon/Silk - I knew right from the get-go that I wanted a Spider-person on the beta team. I also knew that I didn’t want Peter.
No offense to Peter Parker. He’s fine. But there’s a billion other Spiders out there, and I wanted someone out of the normal vein of Peter, as well as even Miles and Gwen.
And in came Cindy.
Locked away in The Bunker because of her spider powers manifesting, she was eventually released by Peter and thus began her entrance into the main Marvel world.
Her “unique ability” is her improved Spider-Sense, which Peter has said is even better than his own. That, plus her other powers, brought her the closest out of anyone to being a member of the Big Hero 6 Beta Team.
As we all know, however, Peni ended up getting the spot over Cindy (for the family angle with Hiro and the giant robot that she pilots). On the other hand, Cindy would later make her debut in the stinger of the last chapter of Along Came The S.P.I.D.E.R., along with Miles, Anya, and Joey.
Unlike Riri, Nadia, America, and Alison, Cindy and the rest of Peni’s little Spider Society are going to be showing up in future stories. And if I can get everything in order, they will be starring in their own story set in the Big Hero 6 universe.
Finally, I have no emblem for them, but the honorable mention goes to...
6.) Lunella Lafayette/Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur - Yes, there was a point in time where I was seriously considering putting a nine-year-old super genius and a giant red T-rex into my stories.
Ignoring the giant...”red flag” here, the reason why Luna never made it is the same reason why I haven’t put Rishi in anything yet. It’s because I don’t really know what to do with supergeniuses that young. Hiro is at least a teenager and thus has teenager-y problems to fall back on (like puberty and Karmi and all that jazz), but a nine-year-old? That’s a little too extreme for me.
When I was nine, I was busy playing with sticks in my backyard with my brother, not solving unsolvable puzzles from Bruce Banner.
...All that, and the giant dinosaur.
But hey, at least Disney is jumping on the MG/DD train. That’s good to see.
Crossover potential, perhaps?
P.S. - As I was finishing putting this post together, it occurred to me that I may get this possible question in the comments, so I’m going to head it off at the pass.
“You know that all of your possible superheroes are girls, right?”
First of all...sexist.
Second of all...true.
That was about 90% on accident. The actual team (Robbie, Aspen, Peni, Doreen, and Kate) has only one guy on it (two if you count Eli, three if you count Tippy-Toe).
I don’t really have a good explanation for that. I like all superheroes, but I think that the girl and woman superheroes need some spotlight, you know? I could have pulled people like Namor or Miles or the male Hawkeye into the mix, but to be honest, I find the characters I chose more interesting than a lot of the guy characters I was contemplating.
Of course, nothing is stopping any of you from using those characters in your stories. Be my guest, not that you really need my permission or anything.
But you can’t take Aspen. Aspen is mine. (Spoiler: Aspen is not mine.)

Hey again honey! Here goes another one… ❤️
Extra Scene 15
“Oh come on now,” Anthony told Elias as the barkeep brought three bottles and two glasses to their table. “You had me drink that god awful wine before your wedding, I have to pay back the favor.” I mean, it is only fair 😂
“I left you with a lady as well, I didn’t leave you alone.” Anthony corrected him. “But before all that, we came up with quite literally the worst drink combination in the world to get drunk faster.” Omg, they seem like teenagers instead of two grown ass men 😂
Elias heaved a sigh. “Quarter glass of ale, quarter brandy and rum for the rest of the glass.” Jesus Christ 🤦♀️
“And I certainly didn’t think your solution would be that,” Elias said. “One would think you can’t say no to her even before the wedding.” I guess it takes one to know one, right Eli?
“Yeah, she loves it there,” he said. “I figured she’d like one for when we visit.” So… are we getting that six months honeymoon in Paris or what? 😏❤️
Ok but Elias being a dramatic ass, out of spite, just to say yes to being the best man (which was the obvious choice)… I can’t, I love him so much 🤣💕
“And how exactly do you know that she doesn’t know?” Elias asked tersely and Anthony heaved a sigh. Oh good question Eli, if only you knew… 😏
“Are you going to listen to me or do you want to be dramatic first?” I mean, he is a drama queen Anthony, seriously what did you expect?
“I don’t want her to walk into that room clueless or worse; scared out of her mind because of some gossip she might hear at the wedding breakfast,” he said. “And I would have explained it myself but—”
“You will do no such thing, you’re not even married yet! I swear to God…” Well didn’t you do just that with your own bride golden retriever boy?
“She rode back to her parents’ house and asked for an annulment on the wedding night because he wanted to take her gown off,” Elias finished his sentence for him. Omg, you did use it! 😂🤦♀️
Loved it Dream! I’m excited for the engagement ball! 💕💕💕
Omg darliiiing hi!❤❤
Lolll whenever Elias and Anthony are around each other, they go back to their school days, aka their IQ drops very rapidly😂
Oh Elias is still very shocked at Anthony's...character development 😂 He did not think he would ever see him like that😂
Six months honeymoon in Paris lolll aw that would be so romantic ❤ They might go to Paris after the season is over I think! ❤ To see Anthony's wedding gift for her😈
I think they would have so much fun! ❤
Being dramatic runs in the familyyy❤
If Elias knewwww...😏
GOLDEN RETRIEVER BOY😂😂😂
Omg you noticed that detail! ❤ I think I will totally use some of the things that were written in those "manuals" and it will be hilarious 😂
Thank you so so much for this darling! ❤❤❤

Wormhole
Steve is laying on his bed wearing his pyjamas, his eyes droopy and his mind hazy with tiredness but still, he insists on texting his friends. A normal tuesday, it appears.
Until suddenly, a big blue ring light starts to shine out of nowhere in the middle of his room. Steve sits on the bed, eyes wide. Suddenly a person gets out from inside the light. A boy about his height, his big honey eyes hiding behind his dark hair that was covering almost all of his freckled face. He was wearing black pants, a white button up and a coat. He looked drenched but still, he looked very handsome.
Is Steve too sleep deprived? Is he dreaming? Is he imagining this? He doesn't know.
"Oh thank god, it's you" the boy holds Steve's shoulders and kisses his cheek quickly, dropping a little device on the bed beside him.
"Um. Hello? W-who are you?" Steve freezes, trying to understand what just happened. He's not imagining it then, since the kiss felt very real. He would've blushed if the situation wasn't really scary.
"What? It's me. I guess I might look a little different, I've been traveling around for a while. Ugh my clothes are gross. I'm just gonna change real quick, okay?" the guy rambles walking to Steve's closet and opening the door. He searches for something, getting all his clothes out of the way. Steve frowns. What the fuck is this dude doing?
"Did you move my stuff again?"
"I literally don't know what you're talking about." Steve slowly gets up and walks towards the door.
"C'mon Steve, stop messing around, they were right here" he half laughs and keeps searching. A shiver goes down Steve's spine. He knows his name. Is he a spy? An alien? Is he here to harm him? Steve grabs his bat carefully and places it on his neck.
"I'd appreciate if you stopped messing with my stuff and left. I don't know who you are and why you're here! Just leave me alone!" he says with a rough voice.
Eli turns to face Steve, ready to laugh and ask 'what is this, a prank?' but his smile drops as soon as he sees Steve with the bat and a serious expression.
"Steve, calm down! It's me, your best friend, Eli Pepperjack. Do you seriously not recognize me?"
"Wrong! My best friend is Jim Lake and everybody knows that. I've never seen you before in my life!"
Steve and Jim being best friends??? Something is definitely Not Right. Eli looks around in disbelief. Now that he notices, Steve looks... younger. The room looks different too. It's the same style, but the colors are all wrong. He peeks outside the window and the street is slightly different too. Oh my god.
Did he just travelled to a parallel universe? One that Steve doesn't know him? He knew the wormhole could do that, but only on command! How did it malfunctioned so badly??
Steve adjusts his hands on the bat, getting Eli out of his thoughts.
"Wait! Wait! I can explain! I can prove that I know you!"
Steve considers, still not moving from the position he's in. The boy seems scared but somehow his eyes are shining, inviting. Steve sighs.
"Ok. Go on." he raises an eyebrow, curiously.
"Your favorite color is blue. You favorite food is pancakes. You can't have spicy food. You had a crush on Claire Nunes"
"Those are really basic and you could easily be lying. Or spying on me! And everybody had a crush on Claire!" Steve shouts, losing his patience.
"Okay, look." Eli reaches for his back pocket, taking out his wallet and handing Steve a picture of them hugging and smiling, doing the Creepslayerz hand gesture to the camera.
"You like nerdy movies like Gun Robot and Earth Invaders in secret because you don't want people to know. You don't know basic math but that's alright because you're a really great actor and you're very good at sports. Sometimes you let your insecurities get to you and that's why you act like you're superior to everyone else. But you're actually a really nice person. You care a lot about people, so much that you saved my life a thousand times before. You're funny and brave and I love you for that" Eli blurted out without even thinking.
"Wow, okay, that's scary. How is all of this possible?" He puts the bat down and stares at the picture, not believing what he's seeing.
"It's possible because I was traveling through that thing" Eli points to the wormhole device on the bed. Steve reaches it and throws it his way.
"Thanks. It's a wormhole, it's extraterrestrial technology. I've been living in another planet but I try to visit as much as I can. It malfunctioned this time. I'm guessing I ended up in a parallel universe" Eli says matter of factly, clicking the device on his hand. A blue hologram appears in front of them. Steve doesn't recognize the language on it.
"Hold up, are you telling me I'm dating an alien?"
"I literally just told you I'm from another universe and you decided to focus on that?"
"Well yeah" he shrugged.
Eli sighed, smiling.
"No, I'm human. I'm Earth's ambassador on the planet Arkiridion-5."
"Ok but are we dating...?" Steve blushes at him.
"Yes. We are."
"Oh sweet! Point for the Palchuk!" He punched the air. Eli laughs through his nose, shaking his head but still focused on the device.
"Can I ask you some questions?"
"Yeah, go on"
"How did it happen... How did we even... do it?" Steven didn't know how to ask this, but as if he was reading his mind, the brown haired boy answered quickly.
"Well, when we started getting close people just assumed. But our families are okay with it, if that's what you're asking"
"Cool. Alright." Steve knew he was bi for a long time now. He was just afraid of telling his family and friends. What if they got disappointed? What if they couldn't love him? What if he was left behind?
"How will I know if they're like this here too?" Steve asked in a quiet voice after a few seconds of silence and just the bleeping of the device.
"I'm pretty sure they love you in every universe. I know I do." Eli sinceraly stated, not even looking up. Steve had a hard time believing someone cared about him and loved him enough to say something so soft like that. He looked at the picture on his hands again. They were sharing a smile so genuine, their eyes meeting in such a sweet way, like they meant the whole world to each other.
"And how did we meet?" he leaned on the closet, crossing his arms. Eli just kept clicking away.
"At school. We didn't like each other at first, but we figured it out" he exhaled. "Took a while, but we did."
"Why? What happened?"
Eli thought about the years his Steve used to be mean at him and shove him into lockers. It was sad, but he knew there was good in him. Maybe this Steve could do it differently.
"Just... be nice."
"I am nice!" Eli stopped what he was doing, raising an eyebrow on Steve's direction. "Alright, I'll be nicer."
"Good. What year is it?"
"2018"
"Woah, okay, I'm so far off." he clicked a few more times, the big blue ring light popping up in the middle of the room again.
"Wait, you're leaving already?"
"Yeah. My Steve is waiting for me at home."
"But I still have so many questions!"
"Don't worry, it's gonna be alright. Nice to meet you. I hope I see you soon." And with that, he disappeared with the light, leaving Steve alone in his room. He looks down to his hands, still holding the picture strongly. He smiles.
"I hope so too."
Steve didn't remember his name. He tried to think back but at the time he was panicking at the thought of "CUTE BOY IN MY ROOM!" and focusing too hard on the fact that said boy was from another universe. So of course his ADHD brain would forget his name.
But this didn't keep Steve from looking. He was never this excited to go to school before. He started paying more attention to his surroundings, hoping he would spot the mysterious boy somewhere.
Instead, he spotted a fight. "Just be nice" he thought. The older boys being mean to the smaller ones does seem like a good moment to be nice. Also, it was just not fair.
"Hey, why don't you pick someone your size?" Steve approached the bully, tapping him on the shoulder with his eyebrows pinched.
"Ugh. Why do you always have to ruin the party, Palchuk? You had potential but you insist on being on the wrong side" he tries to push Steve, asking for a fight. Steve scoffs and holds the boy's wrist.
"Just let them go. You know you can't win against me." The bully grunts and shakes his wrist from Steve's hold. He nods to his friends and they leave, muttering amongst themselves.
Steve turns to help the other boys out of the ground, offering a hand. The first boy refuses, getting up fast and running away. And that's when finally, Steve sees him. He looks smaller than the boy in his room, his hair is shorter and he was wearing nerdy glasses. But it was definitely him. He would recognize that smile and those eyes anywhere.
"Thanks. Steve, right?" the boy said, holding his hand and getting up. Steve was at a loss of words. He nodded, smiling.
"That was very nice of you. I'm Eli, by the way." he shook his hand. He was real and he was right here, holding hands with him. Ok, this is happening!
"Nice to meet you. That was no problem really, if you ever have any trouble with them again just tell me" Steve blunted out nervously, scratching his neck. Eli smiled, picking up his books and leaving.
"Again, Steve?" the teacher asked, raising an eyebrow. "I'm starting to think you're not even trying. Go to detention!"
Steve sighs, walking with his head down in shame. But this time, when he enters the classroom he sees someone that make his eyes light up.
"Eli! Hi!" Steve sits on the table behind him, excited.
"Oh, hey Steve"
"What are you in here for?" he asks confused.
"I was breaking in. And you?" Eli says as if it's a normal occurrence.
"Woah what???"
"I was trying to study at the lab during recess."
"I didn't know that wasn't allowed"
"Well... I kinda was using their equipment to try and communicate with aliens... Which isn't allowed..." Eli says a little embarrassed.
"Oh" Steve laughs, finding the story very endearing. "So you like space, huh?"
"I do. Imagine if I got to do it. It would've been so cool!" he exclaims, and Steve has to hold back the urge to tell him about the parallel universe.
"It really would. Don't lose hope though" he winks at his direction.
Eli smiles and keeps working on his assignment.
"Y'know, I didn't expect you to be here. You're very... um... nerdy?" Steve admits after some minutes of silence.
"Oh so we're doing stereotypes? Alright, jock. Why are you here? Got into a fight?"
"What? No. I'm a nice person! I just didn't do my homework. Again."
"Because you didn't want to or...?" Eli asked confused, tilting his head. Steve had a genius idea. He felt like those cartoons when a little lamp lights up.
"I'm having a lot of trouble, actually. Are you any good with math?"
"Of course. Why?"
"What do you say you help me with homework and I help you by staying on look out when you're in the lab?"
Eli considered, as he heard the bell ring. He gathers his books and hands Steve a piece of paper before leaving.
"Sure. Text me later so we can talk about it"
"Sounds good" Steve smiled. If this went anything like he wanted to, he better start cleaning some space in his closet.
