Looking at all of the messed up boss forms during the Neutral Flowey fight
I just want to talk about them i like them a lot. i was very obsessed with help_tale when i was younger and that's probably why. spoilers below cut, and body horror warning because of the topic ofc.
Decibat
Tumblr media
Starting with Decibat, no eyes and a stomach mouth. Awesome!! The stomach mouth kinda goes along with Decibat's noise theme - HUGE MOUTH is loud and Decibat wants quiet.
Dalv
Tumblr media
Out of all of the Flowey forms only 2 actually made me jump and this is one of them. Creepy eye things get to me and that’s why this is one of my favorites. It's really simple but it's great. Also the way it glitches sometimes makes it look like he has more than 2 eyes, which I'm not sure if it's on purpose but it's still neat!
I do wonder what would be under the cloak, like would it just be normal Dalv? The void? Something like the Deer Lord from Spooky’s Jumpscare Mansion? idfk. His face being obscured is like how Dalv obscures his face with his cloak for the majority of Dark Ruins, and since we don't really get to know him due to killing him, we don't get to see his real face..
Martlet
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Martlet technically doesn’t have a form like the others but I didn’t want to leave her out. This scene does a great job at being unsettling with the lack of talking portrait and the slowed down Snowdin imo. i really like how her hugging animation changes for just that One Frame, it's slow enough that you'll probably catch it but quick enough that you might be wondering if you imagined it.
And then there's the whole "I'm so happy I found you! So happy I found you. I found you." that happens and then her face melts to reveal the Eye. The eye is in grayscale, like Flowey is during the second phase of his fight, so I wonder if it's meant to be HIM looking at you through Martlet.
And the melting parallels her death in No mer- hey wait, why does Martlet melt in both routes where she dies? Like??? I mean, she does have connections to Alphys and the True Lab so like...or maybe i'm just over thinking it. Either way this ones cool, if I knew pixel art I would try to make a form for her like the others have.
El Bailador
Tumblr media
I think a lot of people believe this is the scariest one and....yeah. This is the other one that actually made me jump. The smile, the Eyes, it's fucking scary i hate this one (positive). The large strained smile goes with how El Bailador wants to make everyone happy with his dancing even though some prefer quiet, which he doesn't realize. does that make sense idk if that makes sense.
Starlo
Tumblr media
Oh boy plant growth body horror! Yeah this one’s good. The vines growing out from his face, the weirdly elongated hands, the way the piece of straw on his hat changes to a flower. Honestly I have 0 clue what is going on with his face. Very cool. I also just noticed the holes in his poncho, like bullet holes? i saw someone say he's still hot on twitter and im scared
Ceroba
Tumblr media
Ceroba's gets bonus points for being one of the rarer ones, because you have to abort a No Mercy route to see it. Besides that, no face! Wahoo! Plus her bow has changed to have a flower in it, which matches Starlo.
My favorite thing though is that the way pixels are scattered (i cannot find the right wording for this) kinda makes it look like she's constantly turning into dust which is really cool!! I think her face might be obscured for the same reason as Dalv, considering you have to be in No Mercy to see this you never get to know who Ceroba is.
Guardener
Tumblr media
Overgrown robots overgrown robots overgrown robots. She already was overgrown but it gets more turned up with this one which makes me very happy, I love overgrown robots and machinery. All the vines get changed into flowers as well to fit, yippee! The Delta Rune logo on her chest is also scratched out, which is one way to send a message...
Axis
Tumblr media
I like how the lack of face here parallels both how axis dies in No Mercy AND the death of the blue soul. This one's very cool, though i wish there were some more wires in his face like his death sprite in No Mercy has. thats a weird thing to wish for isnt it. Actually now that I'm looking at it more, it kinda looks like a mouth? That might just be because of the things at the top and bottom, I'm not sure if it's meant to be a mouth.
Oh! And the heart in his chest is missing, which hurts because both ways you can spare him involve filling his heart (either with Daisy or compliments. Also, Axis' neutral route spare is extremely cute, please go check it out if you haven't seen it.)
anyway thanks for reading through teehee my favorites are probably dalv’s ceroba’s and guardener’s. i have to wonder what the Feisty Four would have looked like in this? They don't get any because well, they don't die, but I like them...I don't really have any ideas myself, though. ok bye

I'm really sorry I haven't been very active on tumblr but I'm kind of busy with high school but from time to time I can post things on instagram and maybe I can post other things on tumblr, I had a conversation with @lauritanaomystery and realized that I would REALLY make him a new reference to Juliet, she is still a tall girl but less thin and without as many curves as I lived, she has longer legs and her scar changed.
I also wanted to give Juliet a new pet, a turtle called nestor or nessie for friends, he is always seen near Juliet or chewing on either arthur's hair or mystery's tail 🤣😅
thanks for the patience💜

A quick PvP weaver guide
What with the decade of dragons achievement requiring 10 pvp games, I figured now is as good a time as any to plug my all time favorite build. Now, a lot of people look at weaver and think that it is incredibly complicated and tricky to get the hang of. This is for the most part true, but it all comes down to a bit of muscle memory and knowledge of your skills. Today I will teach you how to be utterly indestructible, and how to be an obnoxious nuisance for the enemy team and waste as much of their time chasing the dancing elementalist rather than capturing points. This is going to be a long post, you have been warned.
So, first of all, the build.
Tumblr media
Sage’s amulet, Rune of Sanctuary, sigil of energy and sigil of cleansing, (though the sigil of cleansing is dealer’s choice, I just like the sigils that trigger off weapon swap, and this is just extra condi cleanse every 9 seconds).
Let’s talk about the main synergy you have here, one that makes you utterly immune to most condi damage and movement inhibiting effects. In the weaver tree, our grandmaster trait, Woven stride gives us swiftness whenever we are hit with inhibiting conditions. Whenever gaining swiftness or superspeed, gain regen, (also swiftness is improved, but w/e). In the water tree, our grandmaster trait, Cleansing Water, cleanses conditions from allies that we grant regen to.
So to reiterate. Anytime we get swiftness, we get regen. Everytime we get regen, we cleanse a condi. This is compounded by other traits such as Swift Revenge, (gain swiftness after using a dual attack), Elemental attunement in arcane (grant swiftness when attuning to air, and regen when attuning to water). In addition, most of our water and air skills have ways of granting swiftness or regen, so 1v1 or 1v2 against condi builds is braindead easy.
Another smaller synergy, and one that I have been a huge proponent of since PoF released, is Sigil of Energy and Evasive Arcana. Evasive arcana lets you cast a skill based off your attunement when you dodge roll. Notably, water is a decent sized AoE heal, Air is a radial blind, and earth is a blast finisher with a bleed and cripple attached. Sigil of energy lets us have an utterly absurd number of dodge rolls.
The next difficult part of weaver is the attunement swapping. Regular elementalists can swap to a new attunement 1s after swapping, but it takes them 8s to get back to an attunement they just left. This weaver build says that it can swap attunements ever 3.5 seconds, and it’s a good idea to swap attunements every 3.5 seconds! I highly recommend getting better keybinds for f1-f4. For instance, mine are bound to buttons on my mouse, so one hand deals with the casting weapon/utility skills and movement, the other deals with camera angles and swapping attunements. Attunement swapping counts as weapon swapping for purpose of our sigils, so every 9 seconds we cleanse a condi and get another dodge roll to use. Most other professions will cancel skills if they weapon swap, elementalist can use their attunement swap while casting skills without canceling them. For instance, dagger earth 5, churning earth, huge windup time, but we can swap attunements while we do, (and you can use arcane flash to reposition if your opponents run away and still hit them with the massive damage and bleeds!)
Weaver solves one of the problems that plagued beginner elementalists, and that is getting stuck in one attunement. In other ele builds, if you swap attunements too fast, you could end up stuck in one attunement for as long as 4 seconds, which is no good, you’d need to back off from the fight and wait for your attunements to come off cooldown, which isn’t always an option. Weavers will always be able to swap attunements, so this isn’t a problem. Additionally, it simplifies a lot of the micromanaging of elementalist. Previously, you’d have to have cooldowns for a lot of high impact skills memorized in terms of seconds, (I just used churning earth, I can’t use it again for 30 seconds!) With weaver, while the cooldowns haven’t changed, the timekeeping has! If you swap attunements off cooldown, then you can instead think of it as “I can use X ability again after Y number of attunement swaps” (I just used churning earth, I can use it again a little after 8 attunement swaps)
But Matt! Weaver has so many weapon skills and I find it hard to learn all of them! Well, listen up! Across all of your attunements, your sword skills are have similar themes. Well, I won’t talk about what every single one of your skills does, that will take some reading on your own time, but I will talk a bit about rotations later
Your 2nd ability is a movement ability with a combo field or finisher. You will be using all of these, so give them a quick read, but the single most important skill to remember is sword water 2. Anytime you are in any sort of danger, attune to water, mash 2.
Your 3rd ability, if you are dual attuned to an element, is a stab (or a series of slashes in earth), that all have an additional effect. Again, these will need you to give a quick read, but notable is air sword 3. Combine it with primordial stance and you can easily stack 25 stacks of vulnerability on an enemy. The other notable one is water sword 3. Don’t use it. Don’t double attune to water, just trust me, it aint worth it.
But your 3rd ability will be covered up by your dual attacks most of the time, and since dual attacks are your weaver’s bread and butter. Some of these I only really use for poke damage and a condi cleanse (water/air, water/earth), but others provide lots of condition pressure, crowd control, or damage!
Fire/air is a cleaving slash in front of you that will put a small fire field under your opponents if it hits. When I say small, I mean miniscule, but this thing hurts like hell, so it’s a great idea to lock enemies down and land one of those on top of them.
fire/earth is a lot of burning and stability, if you combine it with primordial stance then that is a ton of condi damage really quickly.
And Air/earth is a stab that will float enemies for a little over 1 second if it hits, great CC, and it’s in a decent spot where you can access it easily at most points in your damage rotation.
Ok, let’s string all this together. Don’t stress too much about learning every last detail of what your skills do, just swap attunements off cooldown, dodge whenever you have 2 dodges available, and if enemies start to put you under pressure just attune to water and mash 2, dodge roll if you still need extra healing.
What is your job in a game of PvP? Your job is to be a nuisance, If mid is uncapped or if your team controls it, you want to stand on top of the point and be impossible to kill. You want to dance around your enemies with a stupid number of evade frames, healing for hundreds of hp/s, etc. If they leave their home node undefended, you can decap it or full cap and just live there.
In team-fights, if the enemy team is focusing you, that means they aren’t killing your team-mates, you just want to be utterly obnoxious to kill, and try and pull as many enemies away from the point as possible. Whatever enemies stay behind should be easy enough for your team to clean up, and when the point is captured you can use your many methods of escape to get back to safety, and then run back to the point. However, if the enemy team is not focusing you, that means that they might be killing your allies, your job is to single out the DPS and stick to them like glue. Use your CC abilities and try and pressure them out of the fight.
So let’s talk about damaging rotations, starting with your main engages, air 2 and air 4.
Starting with air 2 opens you up to a CC rotation or a DPS rotation, potentially even both if your offhand attunement is earth, while starting with air 4 lets you prepare your mainhand to be whatever attunement you want.
Air 2, (air/earth dual if available), swap fire, air 5, fire 2, fire/air 3, swap earth, fire 4, earth 2, earth/fire 3. If the enemy team starts to pressure me here, I will swap to water and run a little ways outside my fire field (or dodge outside of it for a heal), water 2, earth 4, earth 5. However, if the enemy team chooses to ignore me, I will instead continue by swapping to earth, earth 4, earth 3, earth 5 (ready with lightning flash), swap air and start over again
If starting with Air 4, Ride the Lightning, I like to use mainhand fire, because from fire/air I can continue my rotation from the top like before, but I maintain the option to swap to air and GTFO at any point (with added bonus of a leap finisher). (Added note, when i say GTFO, I mean teleport to an enemy behind the rest of the enemies, and run away, if you do it right you can be an absolute juke king)
Your defensive rotations are very simple and very reactive. If the enemy team starts to focus you, swap to water, mash 2, and dodge roll. From there you can swap to earth for some protection, (maybe think about popping your elite skill for even more damage reduction), or air for even more condi cleanses. You have so many dodge rolls and evade frames, if an enemy telegraphs a skill and you have time to react, you will probably have an evade you can use.
So, go out there, armed with this new knowledge, and dance fucker dance

Magecraft CE’s + Descriptions (Part 2)
Finally getting part 2 of this done! Part 1 is over here
Crystallized Wisdom Chocolate
Tumblr media
Valentine's chocolate from Brynhild. See, it's perfect for you. I used runes to freeze it, so it will never melt again. You can display it eternally, or you can eat it immediately. ...Oh, I'm sorry. If you eat it, you may get a stomach ache. (A/N: I just think it’s neat that she used runes for this)
Threefold Barrier (I actually have no idea what this description is trying to say)
Tumblr media
Fugu, Kongou, Dakatsu, Taiten, Chougyou, Ouken. The triple-layered barrier that he's surrounded himself with, as if he's woven a web out of spidering threads covering the ground and all spaces, flat surfaces, and three-dimensional objects. This circle is an unwavering philosophy. Those lacking wisdom, be ashamed.
Vivid Dance of Fists
Tumblr media
"AzoLto!" This is a slightly new type of modern magecraft, a style of fistfighting blended with the sounds of music.
Mystic Eyes of Distortion
Tumblr media
Bend, bend, bend... Distort. The repeated words became a curse, twisting and destroying everything within her sight.
Repeat Magic (idk what this description is about either)
Tumblr media
A revolution in spell-casting! These old farts are seriously stubborn. Printing technology has ruined the Mystics, communications technology has poisoned the Mystics? Copy, repeat, that's totally fine by me! Like these words being propagated by a vulgar crowd, spell-casting, too, one time should be enough!
EXP Card: Kuji Kanesada
Tumblr media
An ancient sword with a 9-character inscription on the back. This historic weapon is a Mystic that rivals magecraft.
Volumen Hydrargyrum
Tumblr media
In the hands of a skilled wielder, Volumen Hydrargyrum's silver stream can turn into swords, its waves into shields, and even its splashes can become deadly.
This is the supreme Mystic Code of the Archibald family, the depths of which an ordinary mage could never pierce. All you lowly creatures who called yourself mages, you will know that your toys are of no match before true arts.
Self Geass Scroll
Tumblr media
This is a set of laws that are unbreakable by mages, a type of spell that is so powerful it even binds the soul. When the contract is signed... No one can break it, nor escape from it. ...Only for the ones who signed it, that is.
EXP Craft: Burrowing Worms
Tumblr media
Many creatures are often chosen as familiars, but not many mages would choose insects, especially those insects that are not of this world. This insect is the informant to hell itself. As a parasite, the host will gain various abilities, but ultimately, this insect's true nature is to devour, multiply, and destroy. There's nothing that awaits the host except terrifying demise.
Key of the King’s Law (apparently a Mystic Code! Who knew!)
Tumblr media
In the Age of Gods, where man's domain was still limited, a king gathered all the treasure across all the lands and stored them inside a vault he had built. Those were known as the origins of all treasures that followed. The evidence of all mankind's wisdom and knowledge. People started to praise it as the "Gate of the Gods." Truly, it is. Eventually, the "vault" itself became a Mystic more mysterious than the treasures it held. Also, the key to the vault can only be used by the King. The key will constantly change its shape, and the vault will constantly store new treasures. Without the wisdom to instantly understand those Mystics, the key will never be able to open the vault's gate.
Bronze-Link Manipulator
Tumblr media
A Mystic Code designed by a certain talented mage to cover for her own physical limitations.
However, its true function is not to assist in her daily life, but to be used in battle. It is said upon unleashing its true combat capability, it could even rival the proud El-Melloi family's Volumen Hydrargyrum.
Ath nGabla
Tumblr media
NA Translation: When the Child of Light, Cú Chulainn, became aware of his imminent death, he tied himself to a pillar and would not allow himself to fall to the ground. To Celtic soldiers, this formation is the proof of their oath to be invincible and determined, that they shall never retreat as long as they are alive.
Direct Translation:  Upon realizing his imminent death, the Child of Light, Cú Chulainn, tied himself to a pillar. Not as a form of defeat, but to proudly welcome his end on his feet. To the Celtic soldiers, this formation was proof of their oath to be determined and indomitable, as fleeing was absolutely unforgivable.
Jeweled Sword Zelretch
Tumblr media
This is a Mystic Code designed and created by Zelretch, a magician known and feared as the "Kaleidoscope." Its true form is not a sword, but a staff. Although limited, it can draw out magical energy leaked from parallel worlds...Making the Second Magic a reality and creating slashes of light from concentrated energy.
Origin Bullet (doesn’t actually talk about the Mystic Code)

NA Translation: His origin is to cut and connect. He has cut away many things in his life, and struggled to reconnect with even more. The image reflected in the broken windows... May it be the one from those beautiful days.
Direct Translation: An origin of severing and binding. Having discarded many things and stroven desperately to connect even more. Afterimages reflected in a cracked window. I beg you, leave those beautiful days as they are.
Prelati’s Spellbook

NA Translation: It's said that the book he accepted is bound in human skin. It was composed of curses towards humanity in every conceivable way. By rights, the book deserves to be burned. However, as he is now, it was the truth of the world.
"You have crushed my saint." He screamed to the heavens. "Therefore, I too shall trample the miracles you have created. I shall slaughter those pure and lovable children to my heart's content." The man's pitch black eyes were utterly stagnant...
Direct Translation: The book he received was said to have been made from human skin. In every conceivable way, it was composed of curses towards humanity. This book is something that inherently deserves to be burned. However, to the current him, it was the truth of the world. [You have trampled my Saint.] He screamed to the heavens. Sharing of Pain (the full description would be too long and also this is Chloe so I refuse to write out all of it)

NA Translation: Whew, curse access point, transfer of ownership complete! Now your pain is mine! ♪ Though it's a simple spell, it's surprisingly annoying... It tickles, and makes something shiver in the depths of my body.

Lady Mysaria, nicknamed Misery and the White Worm, was a Lysena dancer and lover of Prince Daemon Targaryen. Later, she became his Rumor Advisor.
Mysaria is described as a remarkably pale woman, which, along with her reputation, earned her her nickname. During her years at the court of King's Landing, Mysaria gained weight.
In 104 A.D. Mysaria became one of Prince Daemon Targaryen's favorite lovers when he took command of the King's Landing City Guard. The following year, Prince Daemon learns that his brother, King Viserys I Targaryen, has designated his daughter, Princess Rhaenyra, as his heir and, enraged, sets off Dragonstone on the back of his dragon Caraxes, taking Mysaria with him. There, she becomes pregnant and Prince Daemon presents her with a dragon egg, much to the king's chagrin; after this, King Viserys I orders Daemon to return to Rune Stone with his rightful wife, Lady Rhea Royce. Mysaria returns to Lys, but suffers a miscarriage during the voyage when the ship is caught in a storm. Upon learning this, Prince Daemon enrages and stiffens his opposition to the king.
Mysaria later returns to King's Landing and becomes Daemon's Rumor Advisor. Later, following the death of Prince Lucerys Velaryon at the beginning of the Dance of the Dragons, she hires the assassins Blood and Cheese to assassinate Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen.
It is rumored that the same day Queen Helaena Targaryen jumped from her Maegor Keep window, Lady Squalor had told her of the way her son Maelor was killed.
Lady Mysaria stood alongside Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen during the riots in King's Landing. He informed her of the approach of dusk, which made the queen tremble.
When Rhaenyra left for Dragonstone, Mysaria stayed in the city. When Ser Perkin the Flea took over the Red Keep she was caught trying to flee. They stripped her and flogged her all over the city, from the Red Keep to the Gate of the Gods. Ser Perkin promised her that if she still lived when she reached the door, she would be forgiven and released; however, Mysaria only made it half way. When she died on the cobblestones of King's Landing, she only had half an inch of her fine skin.
If we could classify Daemon's "important" women, we could say that Mysaria was her confidant and loyal, which is a kind of love.

A crystal for every occasion and candles burning down to nothing. The light at the end of the tunnel.
BRIEF BIOGRAPHY:
→ Pandora is the miracle child of Aurora and Jasper Westenberg. They tried for years with no success to have children and almost lost Pandora when she was born premature. As a very young child she was fussed over. Her parents went to great lengths to keep her safe. Pandora went to great lengths to escape their protective custody. Eventually, they came around to accepting that the purpose of having a child was to let them live. She proceeded to go on adventures and return with scrapes and bruises and more curiosities. However, there was only so much she could learn outside and her interest ultimately became knowledge. She devoured books and wanted to pick apart every new piece of information she obtained. Her love of knowledge extends past learning. She not only wants to learn for herself. She wants to share what she learns with everyone around her. It can be a little annoying to have her constantly rattling off facts, but it’s her way of connecting to the world around her. The sorting hat barely touched her head before it was yelling Ravenclaw. There was no other house that would suit her and it proved a good place to teach her how to balance responsibilities and channel her curiosities. She endeared herself to others in the field of charms through correspondence and was awarded with internships after she graduated. She has selected a paid internship in research and is balancing it with her own work in spell invention.
RANDOM HEADCANONS:
Her single-minded focus allows her to pick up details, but she often misses the big picture. She can recall the most obscure pieces of knowledge trivia, but basic common sense occasionally alludes her.
She is a pacifist to her core. Pandora avoids fights at all costs and has put her all into learning defensive magic to avoid having to use offensive magic.
Pandora experiments with magic. She can often be found researching and implementing changes to spells in attempts to create new magic. It’s best to avoid unless one wants to participate in the testing.
Fruits and vegetables are her go to snacks. She isn’t vegan, but meat and animal products are a relatively small part of her diet. Though dip strawberries in chocolate and you’ll have her starry-eyed.
Pandora has a barn owl named Sir Edmond Buttersworth because she says he looks like a Sir Edmond Buttersworth. He does in fact respond to this name. She has nicknamed him Seb, but he only reacts when Pandora uses the nickname.

Character Descriptions for Fantasy High 2.9!
***
As always, let me know if I need to edit or add anything and tag/ask/PM me about art and stories so I can check them out!
Warning: trauma, abuse, mental abuse, neglect, starvation, manipulation, memory loss mention, dark themes, isolation, imprisonment, fantasy racism, vomit mention (please let me know if I missed any)
All pronounciations typed out have a rolled R.
***
Facts
The party is currently at 44,100 exp. each. Next level is at 48,000 (which will probably take 3 more big battles, 2 if Brennan is super generous with RP awards).
Abernant family had all their land and wealth reclaimed by The Court of Stars for their treachery and failure to prevent a war with Solace. Elianwyn committed treason and betrayal as well.
To save Adaine, the group decided to break up into 3 teams: Pylon 1 (Ragh, Tracker, Cathilda, and Sandra Lynn), Pylon 2 (Gorgug, Fabian, and Riz), and Recovery (Ayda, Fig, and Kristen). Team 1 and 2 would simultaneously take out the pylons. Then, the recovery team would go in (invisible and/or disguised) and gets Adaine and Aelwyn. They would all meet back at Van where they would most likely use Ayda's teleport to leave Fallinel (or regroup to plan their next move).
***
New Characters
Tell-ah-mine Low-men-el-da
Fabian's grandpapa
Tall elf with regal green robes, a silver circlet, long platinum white blond hair with a widows peak, and shimmering blue eyes
Crinkle in the corners of his eyes shows his age in sort of an Elrond way. He look of a dude in his late 40s/early 50s who took excellent care of his body and kept it tight
Moves with supernatural grace
Can turn into silver sand and float away
Has no concept of what time means
Obsessed with the fact that his grandson will die before him (Your human blood has brought mortality to this family. You will one day die.)
Offers to send word to an elf who is a fabled eye smith who lives on the high mountains at the heart of Fallinel that can craft a working eye (from songs, whispers, beams of moonlight, jeweled edges of the blue of the sea, and shimmering poems pulled from the ether itself) for Fabian, but has no clue how long it will take (a moment, a year, or a hundred years).
Can't pronounce words in common very well, especially words he's never heard before (which delights Fabian and pisses off Gorgug)
Calls Fabian Aramais Seacaster fa-bee-ahn ah-rye-ah-my-ess Seacaster (which might actually be the proper pronouncations of his name in that region as "Seacaster" was said correctly and that's how all the other elves say his name as well) and calls Hallariel ha-lair-ee-el
Weeps without moving his face, but also sometimes makes a soft eeehhhh sound when he cries (at one point he cried over a drop of water)
Gifted stewardship of Khy-low Meh-new-rah 3000 years ago after he crafted The Sword of the North Star (he was the smith of fung-dran-ghoor) for the ancient king of Fallinel Th-wrist-win Eversong.
"Without the Elven Oracle, we are lost."
Saw the Abernants as power hungry and cruel and can't understand why they would leave Fallinel. He found Anguin in particular to be a crass and small man with no nobility, only a thirst for power.
Thinks Riz has a harsh energy, is "a little dick", and calls him "a strange green mouse thing"
Got physically ill when a gun was explained to him, calling it gross and some dwarven kind of thing before vomiting which he turns into a flock of white crows
Vhan-lair-ee-el
Fabian's aunt
Tried to heal Fabian's pneumonia with elvan singing
Said "I have failed" when her singing doesn't work before she fades into starlight and vanishes
Hal-door-in and [unnamed youth]
Elven teens in white linen shorts arguing because [unnamed] believes Hal-door-in took his lute.
Calmed by a distant song which stopped their fight.
Faf-threth-riel
Lithe elven youth (around 17 or 18 years old) with a blond mop of hair covering one eye
Bakes elven whey bread
Lived a sheltered life
Ragh was the first half-orc he met
Mostly into Ragh due to Ragh being half orc, excessively talking about his green skin (like the boughs of a tree leafy, my leafy man), being big and beefy (your legs are like the mighty trunks of trees), was really into rage (like when Ragh punched a seat cushion) to the point of it making Ragh uncomfortable
Sang in bed
Treth-thren-ren
Elven youth who does morning dance yoga
Tried to get Fabian to eat a grape
Oak Warriors
Elemental plant based automaton soldiers made of pure magic
Look like 8 foot tall green men with leaves coming from their faces
***
Changes to Established Characters
Aelwyn
Matted long blond hair
Dry skin, chapped colorless lips, and thick bags under her eyes
Severely dehydrated and trance deprived (probably hasn't been allowed to trance for nearly a year)
5 points of exhaustion. Only magic is keeping her from going to the 6th level and dying.
Her "room" is a large large beautiful elven chamber with silver and marble. Ambiant light glows from the white stone.
Trapped inside a 15 foot diameter orb that's constantly turning so she can't trance
Crawling on hands and knees while trapped, shaking with the effort
Doesn't give Adaine up to Kear
Can still remember how to cast the message cantrip
Feels strange and addled (unable to think clearly; confused), can't remember what's real or imagined anymore, doesn't clearly remember what happened in her past (including what she did to get imprisoned), and forgets what she and Adaine have already talked about (causing a lot of reputation).
Thinks her parents "tried their best they could" and that "they expected quite a lot of us, but isn't that what- doesn't that... didn't that make us great?" (possibly due to something her father said or did since her imprisonment as it echoes a few things he's said)
Gilear
Looks scruffy (from not shaving), dirty, and has pit stains
Somehow didn't mess up being diplomatic with Fabian's grandpapa
Unbuttons the top button on his shirt when he "lets loose"
To Fig about Sandra Lynn and Garthy: Are you aware of such... hanky panky?
Learning of Sandra Lynn's infidelity with Garthy "Honestly? Perhaps this is... fucked up. It makes me feel... like there wasn't something uniquely wrong with me. Maybe a tiny little w for Gilear."
Spent the night walking through the forest with Hallariel's father, reciting poetry (badly)
To Fabian after Hallariel's father threw up "You're low and he's low. It's Gilear's day baby! It's Gilear's day."
Tried to ask Hallariel's father for her hand, but even though Fig gave him bardic inspiration and Riz helped by covering Fabian's mouth, he failed... so much. ("Lord Tell-ah-mine of Khy-low Meh-new-rah I like you am-" *makes himself throw up* "We get it. We both get it. We... We're the throw up boys." *passes out*)
Ayda
Hid in the van the entire visit
Might have rejection sensitive dysphoria (which is common in those with autism or ADHD)
Did a sending spell to Zelda for Gorgug for 150 gold (after reminding him that she very much does not like anyone in her debt or visa versa)
Offered to exact vengeance on Zelda for Gorgug
Is powerful enough to know teleport and learn plane shift (so level 13 or higher)
Stated that Adaine is her best friend and decides that since Fig is also Adaine's best friend, by the transitive property she is best friends with Fig as well (and Fig agreed). Learning this, she says "Fantastic. I grow richer by the day. I'm emotional." before starting to cry fire "I'm emotional. I'm gonna fly away." She then flew away, returning after she had calmed down.
Ragh
Ate grapes and started burping musical notes after he left Khy-low Meh-new-rah.
Lost his virginity to Faf-threth-riel who then got creepy and kinda racist, making Ragh very uncomfortable (and want to get out of there asap)
Fabian
Lost both points of exhaustion thanks to the 8000 thread count elven sheets (did they get to keep the sheets or at least one sheet for help with exhaustion?)
Felt really good when he tried out dance yoga, even wondering if he should be some kind of yoga dancer instead of a fighter (how about a whirling dervish dancer like Cathilda?)
The grapes he put in his pocket (after refusing to eat them) turned into song
Indifferent towards saving Aelwyn and doesn't want to be on the retrieval team
When he started feeling anxious about the Aelwyn stuff, Riz told him to lose himself in dancing again to feel free (Riz: You are the only one that I wanna see dancing right now.) It made him feel much better.
***
Other Characters
Adaine
Taken by Court of Stars
Her jacket and spellbook were taken
Trapped in an orb which is soft and doesn't hurt her, but the constant movement of its slow turning doesn't allow her to be still or trance
The walls of her room glow with runes and there are many perminant magical effects, making her captors capable of some crazy things (like prepared directional counter spells), but the setup wouldn't counter cantrips
Escaped the orb with dispel magic (dc 15) which makes a couple counter spells go off and an alarm sound
Hid in Aelwyn's room. The sister's spoke before she was recaptured and placed back in her orb. Adaine told Aelwyn that she was going to get her out
Discovered that her room was close enough to Aelwyn to talk to her via the message cantrip
Repeatedly cast Ray of Frost to turn her orb into a slip and slide to stay entertained
Instead of speaking to her father in elvish, she responded in common. Also cast Tasha's Hideous Laughter on him.
Anguin and Kear said she would be executed for treason for staying in Solace and refusing to cooperate. She demanded a lawyer and then the Ambassador to Solace, citing her age and being a student at Augefort Adventuring Academy which summoned a recorded hologram of Arthur Augefort.
Arthur Augefort
Has a recorded hologram that is activated when a student claims the need of his diplomatic help in foreign affairs.
It threatens the listeners with graphic and terrifying violence and doom, giving them the options of either rectify the actions that summoned him (Yes) or refuse and welcome the aforementioned punishment for their actions (No).
Gorgug
Fabian's grandfather called him Jhor-judge
Finally got a message to Zelda via Ayda using her sending spell (Zelda. Safe in Fallinel. Gonna finish cell tower soon. Sorry about everything, but hope your break is going well in spite of this. Miss you.) and got a reply the next morning a little while after waking up (Sorry. Was at a party. You don't have to build a cell tower. That's crazy. It's all whatever Gorgug. I don't blame you.)
Didn't sleep well, but still got the benefit of a full night's sleep due to elven sheets.
Kristen
Got in a fight with Tracker and then got 3 nat 1s on persuasion checks when she tried to make up with her.
Slept in Adaine's room
Doesn't know how to make a cell tower
Took one of the 40 to 50 foot long diaphanous silk scarves with her
Gave (inspiring?) speech ending with "Friendship is thinker than water and we need water to live." which gave everyone 11 temp hit points
Accidentally called Pok a "smiling elf" and then blew it off as being due to her being human
Can now see Shadow Cat in the picture (along with Tracker, Sandra Lynn, Garthy, Riz, and Sklonda and possibly the dead cambian, Pok, Jace, and Adaine's mom) and reacted by saying "Was I spooning the cat all night in the milk!?"
Sandra Lynn
Dropped out senior year and got her diploma after the fact to join an adventuring party
Joined as a replacement member for an existing adventuring party that was already active in the world and included an older much more powerful married couple.
Fresh out of high school, fell in love with one person from the couple (nonbinary or gender intentionally hidden) who "did not treat her very kindly"
When it all came out, she was ejected from the adventuring party, her romantic partner took great pains to smear her name (so no one would accept her), no other party would take her as a replacement, and she was forced to become a Celesian Ranger
Gilear knows who the couple were, but doesn't want to tell Fig (could she know the people involved?)
Key-heir/Khear
Child-like elven maiden with long brown braided hair, a white gown, and a large staff.
When confronted by Arthur Augefort's hologram, she chose to not heed his warnings.

Knight Emperor
Shadowed silhouettes danced in succession, too fast for Knight to keep up. Flashes of royal blue and cyan chased one another between the ashy trees set ablaze. None of them were human. Ishtar darted to the side with spears shot from her hands with Chevalier at her heels, acting as her shield and means of offense with his gun blade at hand. The two moved together as a single unit, synchronized with a single target in sight.
Blinding light sheared through the dark demonic forest with an intensity in reminiscence of the El. Knight’s chest fluttered in response to the familiar warmth of the energy source emitting from a man clad in white. Long strands of hair rested over the man’s shoulders. The El had influenced every part of Richter with the priest utilizing his own set of spears to counter Ishtar’s. Blades expanding from Richter’s fingertips to be used as a projectile.
“Using spears to compensate for lack of ranged skills,” a voice drawled. “I suppose that man does more than talk about the El.”
Knight sat next to Mad Paradox - not that he had an option. The chains dangling from Mad Paradox’s back moved of their own will. They tightened their grip when Knight pulled on them, fighting to remove himself away from them and their owner. Paradox snickered when Knight asked how long they would remain here and ruffled the redhead’s hair with a toothy grin.
His wrists ached from the chains constricting close to his skin. There were at least three or four of them, it was hard to tell. They bunched up in knots and clung to him, sometimes playfully waving in the air.
The gold pendulum Richter held between his fingers swung as he summoned additional spears to combat Chevalier from above. Chevalier spun around to launch a bullet at the defending priest, bringing his gun blade into closer range with Ishtar by his side. Blue sparks exploded with flames emitting from Ishtar’s palms to force Richter to back away.
Knight held his knees close to his body and leaned his head forward. It was hard to watch the people he considered family fighting a familiar face, even if he had never met them in person. The injuries inflicted by both parties left his mouth dry with pain in the back of his throat.
“How do you know he’s Ain?” Knight asked.
He squinted at the blue haired man on the hologram screens created by Paradox. They were surrounded by four screens. It was like they were there where the fight had taken place. The fight was recorded by one of Paradox’s drones, hidden discreetly between shrubs to be unnoticed by his friends. How could he be so close to them, yet couldn’t touch them and let them know he was there?
Paradox noticed the knights interest in the priest and smirked, “I’ve met enough of them to know it’s him, even when his hair looks like toothpaste. They’re all the same.”
“Does that mean I’m the same?” Knight frowned.
“As much as I am to your Add.”
There was no doubt in his mind he was talking to Add. His mannerisms remained reserved and offered little for Knight to work with. Past and future? Paradox kept his lips sealed, never offering more information than necessary.
But he wasn’t Doom Bringer.
It wasn’t fair when the time traveler held a gleam in his eyes and an all-knowing smile when Knight said something like he knew something the redhead didn’t. He sometimes looked at Knight like he was talking to someone else, his eyes wavering into black scleras in angry flashes. Pieces erratically chipped off Paradox’s body from time to time, threatening to pull the man apart. Knight was sure Paradox would crumble before the man forced himself together and bared sharp teeth as if in pain.
What happened to turn Paradox into what barely resembled humanity?
Ishtar shouted something to Chevalier with urgency from how tense her muscles were. Hands forming into fists and legs apart with a raised finger at Richter with betrayal reflecting off her eyes. Chevalier held her back with one arm and shook his head, whispering into her ear. Knight couldn’t read their lips. Both turned to Richter dashing to them and crouched over with a blade piercing into Chevalier.
“Ciel, no!” Knight and Ishtar screamed.
Ishtar mirrored her companion in clutching over her chest. Jets of black ink beside Chevalier’s red, seeping through her clothes under red lightning from the many moons. Ishtar growled, clenching her teeth and summoned an arsenal of spears. Reaching from her back, the former ruler extended her blades and pointed them at the priest. Pain and rage escaped from her lips as the forest was filled with light.
A powerful wind blew past them. Pulling Chevalier up with her shoulder used as support, blue fireflies appeared around the two. A hoard of spirits formed before them before she and Chevalier had them charge into Richter. Pebbles trembled to the spears crashing down, locking Richter’s limbs into places and restricting the priest from further movement. The blue haired man looked at the former ruler with glassy eyes.
Ishtar stood over the priest and bit her lips when she looked over to Chevalier’s physical state.
“Is this what you do with your friends?” Knight looked away.
“What are you talking about?” Paradox asked.
“Do you make them fight each other like this?”
“I don’t have friends.”
“You must have someone,” Knight searched for weakness in the other’s expression. His skin was like alabaster, dented with a pronounced facial lines from the permanent frown Paradox had if he wasn’t laughing like a maniac.
“Do you mean the El Losers like yours?” Paradox leaned his head back. “Sure, if you want to call people that want to kill each other ‘friends’.”
Knight winced. Did he want to know what Paradox’s team was like? He chose not to probe further. Talking about another El Search Party wasn’t going to give him the information he needed to learn more about this man.
“Then why come to us?” Knight kept his voice even, “If we’re all the same, then you wouldn’t want to see us.”
“You’re smarter than the last one,” he mused. “Pity you don’t use that brain more often.”
“Did you kidnap me so you could insult me?” Knight fumed.
“A wonderful idea, but there are stupider people I can choose for that.” Paradox showed his teeth, “I was bored.”
Bored.
This entire mess. Switching swords and making other teams see each other as the enemy. All because of one man? Knight looked at Paradox for clues of this being a joke, but the tall man only giggled for an answer. He had the power to manipulate time and this is what he used it for? For entertainment? It took Knight soothing himself with calming words to keep his mind clear. What could make a man use his powers for something so petty?
Even if Knight wasn’t even sure what kind of history Paradox or Doom Bringer had, it couldn’t have been a pleasant one if they chose the life of following the El Search Party. Their group attracted those with hard lives, those that seeked for something better than what they already had. Paradox held the same sad-eyed look Bringer had when he thought no one was looking. A longing gaze, one that thought about the what-if’s many times until the sun rose. Knight once had the same look when he stayed up wondering if his father and sister would return from the war. He had his friends, but who did Paradox have? Bringer never spoke about having a family, so did that make Paradox the same?
“You’re lonely,” Knight realized.
He felt the grip around his body loosen as soon as those words left his lips. The chains shriveled, leaving Knight enough room to move his arms and pull himself out from its grip. Paradox’s shoulders shook and staring past the bangs that fell over his face. Paradox let out a humorless laugh when he realized Knight was still there and was no longer bound into his spot.
“And people call me delusional,” Paradox scoffed. “You have mistaken and are projecting yourself onto a person you barely know.”
“You’re still Add.”
“If you want to compare me to a brute.”
“Why are you so stubborn?” Knight groaned, “Doesn’t it bother you watching people you know fight each other?”
He shrugged, “It happened in multiple dimensions. Your problems are nothing new to me.”
“Why do you even have these powers?” Knight waved his hands, “The only person who can control time and space is Glave-”
“Don’t speak of that man,” Paradox hissed.
“Didn’t he help you learn more about Henir?”
“Don’t assume what happened in your dimension is the same as ours,” the time traveler sneered. “Mention that man again and you won’t learn what happens to your friends.”
So there was something between him and Glave. Knight didn’t recall Bringer having a relation with the gatekeeper beyond exchanging snide comments, but maybe things were more personal for Paradox. Things that made the time traveler uncomfortable to share with others and recoil with threats.
It was the first outward sign of frustration he had heard from Paradox since they first met. Tufts of hair stood up from his roots and his eyes flickered black with venom in his voice. His pale cheeks were patched with tinges of red, his lips curled down into a frown and a hardened expression.
“You said you wouldn’t kill me.” Knight looked at him in the eye, refusing to blink. His anger didn’t scare Knight, but it was the raw emotions that caught him off guard. It was a contrast to the shy quiet persona he had in child form.
“I won’t kill you, but I can keep you from dying.” Paradox said with a Cheshire grin.
Knight had no doubt the man could do that. He was alive by a narrow margin because of Paradox’s strange abilities.
His mannerisms and the way he talked wasn’t any different than Glave’s. He held up his head and held a coy smile when Knight thought he held the pieces to better understand the time traveler. Paradox was an enigma. His answers brought in more questions into wondering what kind of man twisted his body beyond recognition for abilities only gods dreamed of.
“Time… is unforgiving.” Paradox said, “it moves on without waiting for you. I defied that and now I’m past the laws of time and space.”
“Is that why you look like a child?” Knight thought about the man’s unstable body, forever broken apart and forced back together. It was alien and was hardly what he considered to be living. There was fear, but mostly pity in the man’s existence.
Paradox didn’t answer.
“Are you keeping me here forever?” Knight asked.
“Don’t be dramatic,” Paradox rolled his eyes. “I’m just borrowing you for a few hours.”
Knight pulled out Rune’s sword from his bag and pointed it at the strange man that shared Bringer’s face. “I need to get back to my friends. Now.”
“Resorting back to brute force, how typical.” Paradox snorted, “You do everything to save their sorry asses after so many times, only for them only create more problems right after. Don’t you ever get tired of it all?”
“I need them.”
“Or do they need you?” The man stretched his arms out to show bright colored gloves, “Placing all responsibilities on a child. They’re as stupid as the ones from my universe.”
“You don’t know them,” Knight snarled.
Knight didn’t need the reminder of being a young leader. At first, it was by default because it was only him, Aether, and Daybreaker. As their party grew, the foolish headstrong leader grew into his armor and no longer struggled picking up the sword his sister left behind. It was only because of his friends and dumb luck that they were successful in making it this far. Did his friends really need him? Knight no longer lived in his sister’s shadow, but he still felt like the child left behind Ruben by his father and sister to answer the call to war.
He didn’t lower his blade. The red runes on the blade sparked in response to his El resonance, but he didn’t strike. He saw Rune use it to summon flames in combination to the sword techniques both of them have learned from their sisters.
“I’m more than their leader,” Knight said. “I’m their friend. What will it take for you to let me go?”
“Negotiating with a blade pointed at me. I guess you’re more than talk.” With a dark chuckle, Paradox folded his arms in with Dynamo flying around him in an uneven disarray. “How about you entertain me? We have all the time in the world.”

Ishtar
A small figure appeared in the fog with her tail flicking to the side as the hairs at the back of her neck stood up. They were not home, but the former demon monarch recognized the familiar presence of demonic energy. It was like walking through the Sander swamps if each step dragged their footsteps further down until they were left without enough stamina to continue on without being devoured by leeches or demons. Luckily for Chevalier, Ishtar was one of the two. Aether was less than impressed when the butler suggested cooking them.
The longer they stayed in Demon Realm, the more accustomed the El Search Party was to fighting in the dark among demons. She had no doubt that this was their advantage. Rune’s party was slower and unfamiliar with demon territory, struggling to keep up with them and clearly not used to the Dark El’s presence. It took more effort for them to inflict damage on them.
Pain injected into her chest. Sharp ice traveled through her veins, fading in and out in succession. Her vision split into two before meeting at the center again as she blinked rapidly to the sound of his voice.
“Lu?” Chevalier’s face came into view.
Gripping her wrist with a gloved hand, Ishtar winced with one eye shut with the other glancing at the blue-haired man. Chevalier mirrored her action with his eyes unfocused from the shared pain. Was it her or Chevalier? The visible gash on Chevalier’s arm indicated the latter.
“So the brat could still fight,” Ishtar breathed without humor.
Despite being covered in bandages and outnumbered, Richter could stand his ground. Tranquil rage pierced through his gaze with the celestial quick to read their movements. He and the opposite party had split their group into separate routes. They must have known this would be a challenging fight if they saw them as a threat.
Splitting power over two parties was good in reducing pain, but that meant sharing it and the additional complications that came with forming contracts with another person. The bond between Ishtar and the man she had grown to view as her equal was something that could not be described with the limited vocabulary in Elrian culture. It wasn’t just physical pain they shared, but emotional bonds chained between the two. Her anger against Richter for breaking loose with accusations at them were felt by Chevalier and his frustration with the ongoing fight was shared by her.
“I’m sorry,” Chevalier said with guilt, covering the gash on his chest with one hand. “I wasn’t being careful.”
Ishtar shook her head, already reaching for the potion in her pouch and bringing it to her friend. “Don’t bear the guilt by yourself. Both of us have underestimated him.”
Chevalier applied pressure to the injury with his hand over a torn piece of cloth, breathing heavy breathes as Ishtar administered the potion. A combination of the potion and being half demon sped up the healing process, his muscles contracting in pain and forcing Chevalier to lower himself. His face turned pale as he tucked his head down and choked on his own saliva.
If only Bluhen was here, Ishtar breathed heavily in unison with the other. Medication of that dosage might have been too much for Chevalier. She placed her hand over his shoulders and did what she could to circulate her power over to alleviate the pain. Ishtar was better at taking in the pain than most humans were. Even if Chevalier was half-demon, she didn’t want him to go through this alone.
She had Chevalier nibble on a Sander jerky while she unraveled a bandage roll and quickly patched him up. Ishtar would have offered him more, but she didn’t want to run the risk of having Chevalier consume more than he could handle when they were freshly out of a battle. She took it as a good sign when the butler showed appetite and downed the dried meat with as much enthusiasm as one could for food of mysterious origin. It was a good thing that the dark elves offered them supplies and ration in the last stop. They were running out of medicine and provisions before Knight offered them peace.
“Good thing Raven packed these,” Chevalier noted between bites.
“You enjoy eating that?” Ishtar let out a weak laugh, “Talking like this after you gave me a scare. You really are a child.”
“Anything tastes great after that close call,” he shrugged and shoved the rest of the Sander jerky in his mouth. “And I’m not a child.”
Ishtar wiped a tear and turned her head to where their attacker laid. Spears pinned Richter down by the clothing hems, limbs spread out with an emotionless face staring up to the starlit sky. Long tangled hair sprawled on the grassy floor with the celestial’s lips quivering and mouthing words of prayer in an extinct language humans no longer spoke.
“Don’t speak of me as if I’m dead,” Richter uttered.
“Don’t talk as if you didn’t try to kill Ciel!” Ishtar glared back.
“I did not intend to kill,” the priest said with equal iciness.
It took every ounce of self-control not to stomp over and tell off Richter to swim with the mermaids. Ishtar felt Chevalier peering into the back of her head. His worrisome nature seeped into the back of her unconsciousness even as she struggled to push it away. Chevalier was such a mother hen when it involved her and their teammates. It was sweet, but bothersome when she wanted a clear mind. She threw a look at Chevalier to stop.
Blue light sparked from the celestial with no concern for his physical being, if Richter held the concept of being one. Daggers extended between his fingertips as the priest used them as projectiles with skill that one could hope to achieve - not that Ishtar was subpar and couldn’t keep up with him, hmph.
It was hard to believe the man was the same as Bluhen. His impulsive tactics ran the risk of injuring himself and others yet he head no fear for each strike he made against his opponents. Clean distinct movements from the priest’s spears before light flashed from above.
Placing her palm over Chevalier forehead, Ishtar managed a smile when she discovered that it was still warm. His breaths were shallow, but at an even tempo. They were lucky that Richter inflicted shallow cuts just short of Chevalier’s vital organs. With a few hours of rest, he was going to be okay.
Richter fought by concentrating and creating bursts of energy at the end of his spears, not too different from how Ishtar’s methods. Having the technique deflected on them was a surprise Ishtar wasn’t prepared for.
“If you’re not trying to kill us, then what are you trying to achieve?” Ishtar demanded. “You were specifically targeting us when we had two additional teammates with us.”
“As if I would give away my objective to demons,” Richter sneered.
“You are not in a position to talk,” Chevalier crouched over one knee in trying to get up despite the protesting pain. He used his gunblade as a makeshift crutch to push himself onto his feet and looked down at the celestial. “You’re out of stamina and we have disarmed you. Do you not recognize us as your friends?”
“Sharing their faces doesn’t make us friends,” Richter said. “They are not friends, they are colleagues.”
How cold, Ishtar thought. She already knew that Bluhen wasn’t human - how could he be when the priest had unnatural stamina and possessed powers that were closer to those of a God than organic? Richter was more vocal about his distaste for demons, but the way he talked about his teammates reminded her of the demonic view of keeping one’s allies at an arm’s distance.
“Then tell us why you’re going around with our friend’s sword.” Ishtar pulled the great sword from Richter’s belt. Light and adept for battle, the piece of El sculpted in the handle glowed faintly when she held it up to catch Knight’s scent mixed with ashes. It smelled recent. There was a fire involved.
“I know you don’t like us,” Chevalier said. “Rightfully so after you saw us taking your Elsword, but we need answers too. Where is ours? We may be demons, but we know where our loyalties lie once people have proven their worth. Let us win yours.”
“I already said I don’t know.” he said. “I have not met him. He is not with the El Search Party.”
Richter gave up wriggling under the pressure of multiple blades pressing against his skin. Emotionless in seeing doppelgangers of his teammates, he stared at Chevalier with lips tucked down into a permanent flat line. The expression was too much like Bluhen’s when forced to hold a conversation with her or Chevalier, dulled facial lines edged with a hint of annoyance. For all the right reasons, Richter was not pleased in his position and being forced to comply with the enemy. His once pristine clothes turned to an ashen gray and his blue stole reduced to tatters.
“Yours?” Chevalier asked, “and the sword-”
“Lying on the floor,” a strand of hair flipped to the left side of his face. Richter directed his gaze to Ishtar, “I don’t give answers to demons. Elsword placed trust in you and you let him down by losing him.”
“You lost your Elsword too! Ugh! What is your problem?” Ishtar groaned, “you’re even worse than Ain!”
“I am Ain,” he said.
“You know what I mean!” She shrieked.
“Lu,” Chevalier rubbed his forehead. “You’re making things worse.”
“He’s the one insulting us and we have to take it lying down?”
“You made me lie down,” Richter said lying down.
Ishtar leered at the priest, questioning if this man was Bluhen’s counterpart. Where were the cheeky comments and jabs that came with them? His blinks gave away confusion set with seriousness in his expression, thin lines forming around his facial features. Richter’s pendulum was placed away from his reach, although that was more for show because Ishtar was sure he could manipulate the El without one.
This was no good, Ishtar sighed. It was better to let Chevalier talk things out with Richter before letting her anger get the better of her. Chevalier was good at letting people speak their minds and saying the right thing to ease their defenses. It was a skill not many possessed and she was grateful to have him by her side.
What she was now was a far cry from her reign as the Steel Queen, but that didn’t mean Ishtar was safe from losing her patience to spoiled children like Richter. If she was her former cruel self, she would have forced Richter down on his knees, but that would have disappointed Chevalier and Ishtar promised to be a better person for him and for the El Search Party’s sake. Bluhen at the very least knew when to keep his distance when pushing people too far. Richter was probing balloons with pin needles.
“It’s true we lost Elsword, but we’re doing what we can to get him back.” Chevalier asked, “You must care about yours a lot to be fighting us.”
“I made a promise to protect him,” Richter said. “To lose him is to diminish my purpose. I did not sense demonic energy when I found the sword. What is Elsword doing with you?”
“It was his choice to come with us,” Chevalier explained. “He said he would help us find our Elsword.”
“Elsword… willingly joined?” Betrayal appeared on his features.
“I don’t know the specifics, but Elesis thinks it’s out of guilt.” Ishtar added, “Rune looked okay when I last saw him.”
“When did you find the sword?” Chevalier inspected Richter’s state. His wounds were already closing at an increasing speed, bruises turning into a yellowish tone.
“Right before you interfered and took Elsword,” annoyance came back into Richter’s tone as soon as the topic moved away from Rune.
“They caught us with Rune as soon as we saw them with the sword,” Ishtar thought aloud. “This is all well-placed.”
Chevalier caught on quickly, “you think we have been manipulated?”
“It won’t be the first time,” she said with disapproval. Ishtar hovered over to snap her fingers, releasing the spears from holding Richter down. “We can’t make you believe us, but I can promise you no harm will come to your Elsword.”
“Do you have an idea who might be involved in this?” Chevalier asked.
She shook her head, “I’m not sure. It might not be someone we know.”
Their reputation has been building up enough for demons to speak of them. It would not surprise Ishtar if Knight’s kidnapper was someone of another world where news of their achievements have reached them. She needed time to think about who could be a culprit. This wasn’t something they could solve by themselves.
“What do we do with him?” Chevalier gestured Richter.
“You can talk to your friends, can’t you?” Ishtar asked.
“And if I do?” Richter turned his face away.
“I want you to pass the message about what we discussed.” Ishtar elaborated, “If we can track Elsword’s steps, we might find him and perhaps the culprit. We need everyone to work together so we can outnumber them.”
“You sound like Elsword,” Chevalier teased.
“Guess the kid rubbed off on me,” she laughed.
Richter remained lying on his back, eyelashes fluttering as the celestial’s chest heaved up with quiet breaths. Clawing the grass with his hands, he rolled to the side and crawled on his fours. He pulled himself up and gasped when he discovered gashes forming over his skin, bright red painted over porcelain. Dried sweat and chapped lips and without his teammates, Richter looked lost. He looked at his gloves smeared with dirt and dried blood with dull eyes.
“You said Elsword is fine?” Richter asked.
“He’s with Aisha, Chung, and the others.” Ishtar confirmed, “You can talk to him when we meet up.”
“Surprising that even demons have some sense,” Richter uttered. A thin smirk formed on his lips to give little room for misinterpretation on his feelings about the demon duo. What an imprudent child. So rude!
Ishtar turned her head away from Richter so she could listen to Chevalier talk about a new recipe he discovered. The priest with hair the color of human toothpaste looked at them with uncertainty, holding a silent debate of how much he could trust them. Whether or not he could trust them, they shared a goal in finding their leaders and that was enough for Ishtar to let Richter follow them.

Oz Sorcerer
Oz was beginning to think the Demon Realm was nothing more than a field of spider lilies overcrowding fruit candy colored grass. She saw no less than three carnivorous plants passing by after circling around the same trees dozens of times. Angkor stupidly flocked over to a budding plant in bat form before Oz pulled it away from being swallowed whole. It was already bad enough that Rune was pulled off his feet and kidnapped like a fairy tale princess. She did not want to spend her afternoon or whatever it was forcing man-sized plants to vomit Angkor back up.
The mist made it impossible to see beyond a few footsteps in front of her, leaving the dark mage tapping her foot and resting with elbow over her staff with lowered eyelids. Oz had one hand in front of her face, feeling her way through the mist and using Angkor to see further. The demon bat squeaked and flew against the wind.
Almost immediately in front of her was Devi. Dressed in a cocktail dress with that ridiculous swallowtail reaching the floor, Oz was grateful that the older woman dressed in bright colors to make it easier to follow her. One foot placed over the other, Devi surveyed the dense fog, unaffected by its presence and kept her head high with piercing eyes. She ran a gloved finger over the trees and sniffed them, canines peering from her lips with a thoughtful expression.
“Are you sure they’re here?” Oz peeked over Devi’s bare shoulders, “I don’t see them.”
“No doubt about it,” Devi lifted her head up. There was no trace of doubt in the martial artist’s voice and posture. “They must have picked up something good.”
“You mean Elsword?” Oz asked.
“Not him, but I can smell four people.” Timoria said from behind, “You smell it too, right Ciel?”
“You’re the one who can do that, not me.” Abysser laughed.
“They are close,” Devi pointed at the set of footprints in front of her. They were fresh. “Eun senses them too.”
How come she got stuck with the crazy girl and two demons? Oz ignored Angkor tugging her hat for attention and lowered her hat to cover her eyes. Not that she was lacking in confidence or any of that, but being outpaced by three people with supernatural senses was annoying. But still, if that was what it would take to track down Rune’s kidnappers, she couldn’t complain. These were the same three people that made it possible for their survival in Demon Realm. Timoria was familiar with demons and knew how to talk to them without the risk of angering them. Abysser knew how to survive in the harsh climate with his knowledge in culinary arts and in herbs. Devi had inhuman strength and her… pig-headedness.
Lady Luck was by their side for them to catch the other El Search Party walking through the forest with hushed voices. If Oz’s teammates had strange clothing choices, the opposite had it worse. All but one team member were dressed in white, which was easy to spot even among the mist. Oz spied Dominator’s counterpart as part of the group and a gray-haired man dressed in an oversized coat. She heard someone call him Ain earlier. Rune wasn’t with them, but Oz knew they could lead them back to the red-haired boy. Their Chung and Elesis were dressed differently than Phantom and Flame. Oz was unsure what to make out of that minor detail, but hoped that it didn’t lead to a rougher fight.
“Where are they?” Oz strained her eyes past the trees in search of four human-shaped figures.
Steep mountains came into view, rising past the clouds as the fog lifted from the ground. The place smelled of dried pine trees and gravel. Grass became bare and the floor turned dark and damp from the rain the night before - or was that morning? It was difficult for Oz to understand the day and night cycle in the territory so different from Elrios’. Each of the moons in Demon Realm rotated in different angles and sometimes they appeared in the sky with one of the suns. Oz stopped when she saw the endless darkness below her feet and stepped back with panic. Angkor pulled on the back of her skirt to stop her from falling.
When Oz found her footing and turned to face her teammates, Devi’s hair flared and her spear was held up in offense. She saw Timoria and Abysser ready their weapons in her peripheral vision. A white-haired man in a coat pulled over his shoulders was covered in tattoos with sparks flying out of six weapons with pointed ends.
“Following us all the way here?” Doom Bringer cracked his knuckles, “you really are stupid.”
Without the fog, Oz saw that they were at the entrance of a crystal cavern. Demonic energy radiated from the interiors and her first thought was to scream at her teammates not to go. She heard cries and shrieks coming from the inside. Those demons felt stronger than the ones they encountered earlier. Were these the ones that took Rune away?
Behind Bringer were three familiar faces. They stood at the edge of the pit with Bringer covering his left eye and baring his teeth in a wide grin, holding back laughter to the sight of their odd four-man team. It was strange to see the Nasod reliant scientist wear so much black when Dominator expressed offense to the suggestion of wearing anything other than white and purple. Oz almost didn’t notice him until he spoke up because he blended in so well with the purple crystals growing from the cavern’s opening.
“You’re making us sound like criminals,” Empire Sword chided the brawler. A woman in red, she wore her hair into a high ponytail and sported high iron-clad boots. She wielded her claymore and had a serious expression in contrast to Flame Lord’s.
“As if what we’re doing doesn’t make us suspicious,” Bringer snorted.
“Is there anything I can do to help?” Bluhen smiled. It was bizarre to see an emotion Ain’s face other than solemn or mildly content. What a strange reaction to being confronted by enemies.
“As a matter of fact, there is.” Devi’s lips curled into a smirk, “you know where Elsword is.”
“So what if we do?” Bringer taunted them, “What are you going to do about that?”
“Rune spoke about you,” Empire’s eyes fell over the flattering black dress covering the older woman’s curves. There was confusion in her face and unnatural hesitance in the once confident knight. Her voice faltered ever so slightly when they made eye contact, “Are you Ara?”
“My friends call me that,” Devi giggled a girlish laugh, covering her mouth with her hand. “But you can call me Devi.”
What was Devi trying to pull? Oz threw a dirty look at Devi and mouthed her to hurry up with the talk, but her signals went unnoticed. Ugh, they were supposed to intimidate the other El Search Party, not seduce them. Devi was caught up talking to the woman that looked so much like Flame and smiling when Empire lost her composure mid-sentence.
“We’re... not looking for a fight,” Empire said unconvincingly.
“What if that’s why we’re here?” Devi pursed her lips into a feigned pout and hugged her spear, “Surely you can make time for us together, can’t you?”
“Is it your intention to lead us to the demons?” Oz shoved her to the side and forced herself into the conversation. She did not have time for this.
“You noticed,” a blond man in white-armor nodded with approval. Crusader said, “Ain felt something in there and thinks Elsword might be there.”
Oz directed her scowl to Crusader and questioned the validity of his statement, searching for a brow out of place or holding out his stern expression longer than necessary. Why was it that Rune came back but the other Elsword had gone missing? Were they suggesting Knight was stupid enough to wander into a demon infested cave by himself or was kidnapped by demons? Angkor whispered into her ear earlier about this place. Demons called it Shadow Vein. The cavern contained energy similar to that of the Dark El and housed demons that made the ones invading Velder look like children.
“So you’re keeping ours hostage until you find yours?” Abysser asked.
“I know it looks bad, but that’s not what we’re doing.” Crusader turned pink.
“Then what is it?” Devi asked. “A replacement for the one you lost?”
“It’s not like that!” Empire snapped.
Empire kept her body lowered, moving backwards and keeping her distance from Devi with her back hunched over. Her posture and legwork were akin to Furious Blade, keeping her legs apart for balance and letting herself stay at an arm’s length from the enemy. She crossed her legs over to the left when Devi moved towards her, forming a circle and away from the martial artist. Muscles tensed with the claymore over her shoulder, Empire’s eyes did not leave Devi. Empire bit the bottom of her lips and her shoulders shook in a silent rage.
“Elsword cannot be replaced,” Bluhen agreed. “But I can attest that Rune had agreed to help us find Elsword and this is the place he suggested.”
“Yet you kept him away with the other group,” Timoria noted.
Bringer said, “if he’s anything like Elbrat, he’ll start feeling sorry for demons and surrender himself to them.”
“His kindness is the only reason why you’re here,” Bluhen directed his words to Bringer with a forced smile.
Oz looked between the two men and winced. This was worse than watching Dominator explain to Richter the purpose of sarcasm after half of the scientist’s remarks flew over the priest’s head. Bringer’s cheeks turned pink and mumbled an excuse, something about idiot redheads and impulsiveness. She could sympathize with that.
Pebbles elevated from the ground. Dust scattered around Oz’s feet in correspondence to the sound of high heeled shoes sliding over stoned surface. Sprinting with her dress tucked around her legs, Devi leaped into the air with her spear over her head. Amber light engulfed Devi as she channeled high levels of energy from her palms. She twirled her weapon, grasping the handle with both hands and swinging it from below.
Empire leaped back, clawing the floor with one hand. It was enough time for her to catch her breath before dashing forward with a battle cry. Sparks rained from her blade as she made contact and blocked Devi’s attack. Red braids flicked to the side of her face with the rest of her ponytail. She pulled Devi down with her boots and used her claymore to press her weight against the older woman.
“What was that?” Devi cackled, “I expected more from you! Don’t be shy, I’m eager to see more of you!”
Devi’s hair fanned down her back. Her feet pranced against the rough cavern’s surface with the familiarity of a swordsman and his blade. She lifted herself off the ground with her spear and performed a backflip, pulling her weight and creating friction in blocking Empire’s attack from above. Devi pushed her leg back and bared a wide grin.
Empire withdrew back and lowered her body to knock Devi off her feet and brought her to the floor. Crimson marked over her armor, trickling down the red knight’s forearm and staining her gauntlets in blood. She kept her weight back and leaned over Devi with an ire expression. Her claymore was gingerly placed at Devi’s chin with heavy breathes.
“I already told you,” Empire said. “Elsword is safe!”
“No doubt about that,” Devi caressed the side of Empire’s face with tenderness reserved for Flame. “Ele would never let harm come to him. I came here to see you.”
“I’m not your Elesis,” Empire glowered. “We don’t have to fight.”
“Too late to say that when you put your blade over me. You were prepared for a fight and took the time to gather your strongest teammates.” Devi looked at the team of four and laughed without humor. “They won’t even listen to each other.”
“This guy disagrees with everything I say!” Bringer glared at Bluhen.
“It’s hard to work with someone who’s ancient and doesn’t listen,” Bluhen let out an exasperated sigh but laughed.
“What did you call me?” Bringer growled.
“Not now, guys!” Crusader shook his head, “We still need to find Elsword!”
Crusader locked Bringer’s arms from behind to stop the brawler from trying to punch Bluhen. Bringer let out a stream of curses at the guardian of Hamel while Bluhen snickered. Without an apparent leader, the entire set up was nothing less than chaotic. Oz couldn’t believe she and the others were dreading this fight after extensive planning. This battle was going to be a cinch! Angkor giggled beside her as if it sensed their advantage.
Energy orbs formed around Devi and her eyes flickered red. She pulled her body lower and pulled on claymore, tossing it in the air and smirked at the look of shock on Empire’s face.
“How can you find Elsword if you can’t even work together? We’ll help you find the boy.” Devi added with a sly smile, “if you can defeat us as a team. Show me what a leader looks like.”
Not that Oz understood Devi’s fascination in meeting Empire, but she had played with the idea of meeting the rest of the El Search Party’s counterparts when Dominator explained the concept of alternate universes. She mused that if she was to meet Knight, she would have had high expectations for him too because he was Rune’s alternate. Rune acted like a knucklehead, but he had a perpetual intuition that made it possible to come this far into their journey without casualties. Oz couldn’t help but be curious to whether that was the same for Knight if his teammates made this much effort to retrieve him.
Empire sighed and readied her blade, “Very well. As a knight, I won’t deny a challenge. You’ll keep your word?”
“I can promise you that this will be more than a petty sparring match.” Devi let out a soft chuckle and her hair turned snow white. Streaks of white formed into a furry of tails behind Devi with red eyes matching Empire’s. “Show me why the knights chose you.”

I won't try to bring my own meat and I will trust your cooking skills as long as you don't feed me any of the ingredients above!!

A good Landersino (weak capuccino but strong milk coffee) Is it Evening/night time? Then a nice cup of tea. Has it been a terrible day? Then Gin & Tonic, Vodka & Redbull, A really strong Long Island Ice Tea or Rum & Coke.

Random Fact(s):
A little gross but I have basically no nails on either of my pinky-toes. I was born that way and I am the 5th generation woman on my mother's side that doesn't have pinky toe nails! (I miss the upper part so trying to cut them is always a game of Russian Roulette...will I be able to cut it? Will I cut my skin, bleed and die?? I'll have to cut and see because the tiny little stump/piece of nail is still jabbing me if it gets "too long" :)! )
I was also born with a more inward bent spine/back and I was told by my Chiropracter (or how you spell it?) at the age of 10 that if I didn't do exercises/wore a corset..(at the age of 10!?!?) for my back then it would break/snap should I ever want to get pregnant (even though I always look pregnant when I relax and walk "normally".....*sigh*). So yeah I need to work up my core! (But I am too lazy to do so ...)
I know how to belly dance (not that many moves but I'm still learning from online classes)
I can write and read in the Elder Futhark runes without cheating!
I am a natural cold blooded bitch with a normal temperature of 36.4 °C, instead of the standard 37.5°C. (Once again this is from my mother's side)
I did amateur acting from the age of 6-19 and in 10 out of those 13 years/plays I had to be a boi/man because we were always in short of bois and I have a deep voice I guess.. (so yeah for 10 years of my childhood I was basically a boi/man!)
Despite enjoy dressing up in skirts and dresses and do my makeup I have a very butch/masculine personality (I was a tomboy as a kid) and both men and women are either terrified or confused by this (as they expect me to be just as feminine as my looks/makeup. Which is silly!)
I am sadistic (in my writing and in my thoughts) and one of the reasons why I write is to be able to TORTURE and/or KILL "people" without getting arrested :)
Ok so I am not gonna tag anyone in particular. If you would like to answer these questions then go right ahead and do so!
Uki. Takk! Det var/va alt! (Ok. Thanks! That was all!)

Is there a controversy or fandom disagreement revolving around your muse that has changed how you portray them?
Tumblr media
d you have made a grave mistake asking me this question i’m gonna write so long that it’s sad o mg
the short answer is that it’s less of a fandom disagreement, but more of Unlimited Nasu Controversy Works ;-; the long answer is.....
Due to Unlimited Nasu Controversy Works, I truly didn’t know where to begin as a starting point for Touko when I first roleplayed her; I got to know her from the illustrious Kara no Kyoukai movies, then the novels, then everything else that followed. She’s a character that changes wherever she appears; she’s constant yet ever-changing, from her hair to her clothes to her mannerisms and beliefs, and to be honest, I have never seen a fictional character express so much change before in a piece of media that with each growing day, I appreciate her so, so much.
As far as I know, there are no fandom disagreements about her because she’s very straightforward as a character; she’s the eldest sister of a mage family who fell out of the line of succession, went into the Mages’ Association as a brand of revenge, became too successful to the point where they viewed her as a prized specimen which forced her to be on the run and everything else followed. She’s a Renaissance Man in a sense that she knows anything and everything, is considered one of the most powerful mages in the entire Nasuverse, but wait!
nasu said she’s weaker than her apprentice hang on
The above’s just one of the controversial contradictions that I had to address as soon as I read the Lord El-Melloi II Case Files novels and read up on her source material (aka: this is the woman who derailed the Rail Zeppelin, defeated the Bermuda Triangle, sacrificed everything - including her life - to reach the pinnacle of her puppetry art, ran a space mission, single-handedly revived the study of runes and modernized them, etc.)
From the age gap between her sister, Aoko and her to who’s more powerful than who, I’ve had to iron out a lot of inconsistencies to the point where I had to set a birth-year for her based on Kara no Kyoukai and Mahoyo alone. Thus, I mainly derived from Honda Takako’s (her seiyuu) portrayal of her as she voice-acted her; a leveled character despite her numerous extraordinary matters. There were many things in common and there were many things that were contradictory (e.g. the way she speaks in the novels and the movies - in the novels she’s ruder, in the movies she’s more sentimental + her colored rank in the Clock Tower; KnK said she was in the primary color of Red, another media said she was in the mixed color of Orange + is she, or is she not, the Third Magician?), so I had to take what’s common and what’s seemingly logical based on numerous proofs across the media she’s portrayed in.
The portrayal that I decided upon and hope to portray throughout my roleplays is that Touko’s fundamentally someone who came out of a rigorously blood-thirsty system and does not cry about it. She lives life the way she wants, she keeps her powers under wraps, dances around the normalcy she can never have and walks the earth as a Mystery of the ages. She’s a living enigma who understands things because she’s experienced them, will not give away hope cheaply (look if she catches any muse whining to her and crying she will not comfort them, but give them facts instead) and I appreciate the multiple facets of her character so much because of how she grew out of her flaws and embraced them at the same time to become the nigh terror we all know and love.

the ‘i love you’ collection
a masterpost of the fic i’m writing for the i love you collection. In total there are 32 “i love you” prompts, will be updated as they’re written.
The Magicians / Queliot
the collection on ao3
with no space between us
Word Count: 1.2k
“You did it,” Eliot whispers into his ear, twisting his chin around and catching it on Quentin’s hair. He inhales, deep, and breathes him in.Quentin shakes his head, but makes no move to pull away. “El,” He mumbles, his words dancing along the skin of Eliot’s collar bone, lips dragging in their wake. “If you think I’m letting go—““Don’t,” Eliot interrupts, shaking his own head, closing his eyes. “Don’t let go. Not yet.”
not to me
Word Count: 838
Quentin’s favorite color is purple.
It hasn’t always been, but there’s a lifetime between when it wasn’t, and now. Years upon years, and moments upon moments.
Quentin’s favorite color is purple. Not just any shade of purple, though. Not like the plums Arielle used to bring to the mosaic before she became a part of their lives. Not the pale, pastel of the magic mushrooms Eliot once found lining the river. Not even the deep royal purple of Teddy’s first girlfriends dress. It’s a particular purple. He doubts anyone else even remembers it.
on a sunny tuesday afternoon, the late sun glowing in your hair
Word Count: 2k
He’s hit with the taste of opium, and the sweet, hickory scent of the Fillorian woods. Magic swells up within him, dances along his fingertips, and up into the air all around him. He feels his smile inch wider; even more so when he looks to his right and see’s the meadow. And beyond that—the cottage. Three little kids are running around chasing one another in the front of it, and Quentin’s sitting on the ground with a baby, smiling hopelessly at her, while she gurgles and laughs, tugging at his beard. Teddy comes from around the side of the cottage, holding a stack of freshly washed mosaic tiles, his wife trailing after him, content smiles on both their faces.
This is Eliot’s happy place.
He swallows, before making his way over. The leaves and twigs beneath his feet crunch and crack, giving him away. And before he knows it, three excited screams are directed at him, and he’s got a child attached to each leg, hugging him tight like a viper, and one holding her arms up at him, hands opening and closing; yelling for him to pick her up.
as a hello
Word Count: 2.9k
“El . . .” Margo says from behind him. She’s being cautious, which is fair, because he’s holding a coin over the most powerful magic in all of Fillory, ready to make his wish. “Just—remember. That these things never turn out how you expect.”
He knows. His thumb brushes over the face of the coin, his eyes fluttering shut. ‘Be careful,’ the questing dog had said, ‘for the wishing fountain grants the wish in the way it so chooses.’ Not like the winters doe—who’s gone missing—but with a twist. Sometimes it grants what’s beyond the words, resting on the veins of the wishers heart. Sometimes it senses evil, and grants the opposite if not worded precisely. It’d been the only reason Martin Chatwin stayed away. One wrong word, and Eliot could blow up the entire universe and every living thing that inhabits it.
So, of course, the entire trek up he’d thought about his wording. Simple. As few words as possible, but clear enough. Precise. No room for the fountain to take it the wrong way. Made sure to keep all his feelings about Quentin’s death bubbling up on the surface so the fountain can’t even think that his heart isn’t in it when he makes the wish.
in a way i can’t return
Word Count: 5.6k
Quentin smiles gently at the couple by the doors saying goodbye to their parents. The mom’s crying, but so are the couple. The dads got his mouth clamped shut, and seems to be trying with all his might not to burst into tears in the airport. One of the girls in the couple suddenly rush forward and wrap their arms around him, in a viper like grip.
Feeling something unfamiliar twinge at the center of his gut, Quentin lets his gaze sweep over the other people in the airport saying their goodbyes. His carry on’s a heavy weight at his feet, anchoring him while the security line stubbornly refuses to move. There’s another couple that catches his eye—a woman in an army uniform, all camo, hugging a man while a small child stands between them, her little arms wrapped tight around the woman's legs.
if not by fate, then by fire (another not said to me)
Word Count: 4.2k
There’s a webbing of magic there, glinting in the sunlight. He squints his eyes and tilts his head, moving to sit on his knees to get a closer look. It looks like wards; ghostly equations dancing in the air and letting the wind gently guide them back and forth. Like a flag on a gentle summer day. He watches it, almost like he’s caught in a trance, for a moment. Almost starts swaying with it.
And then he gets up, and follows it.
Lets it lead him. And when he approaches it, settling a hand in the air a breath away from making contact, he takes a deep breath, and looks up over it towering over him. Still swaying, like a dance to say hello and remind him he’s alive. His lips falls into a soft smile, and he presses forward. Expects a shockwave or for the magic to refuse his entrance. But his hand pushes through, and then his wrist with it’s magic rune, and then his arm and shoulder and before he knows it, he’s blinking up into a cloudless summer sky.
in awe, the first time you realized it
Word Count: 2.3k
They’re lying on the grass not far off from the mosaic. Quentin’s laying on his back with his arm tucked up under his head, pointing up at a cloud, claiming it’s making a shape it most certainly isn’t, and Eliot’s lying next to him on his side, a fond little smile on his lips as he lets him ramble. He’s making up a story about the cloud, how it’s a fierce dragon, fighting its way to victory across the skies, seeking out its mate. Or the knight meant to slay it. Quentin adds this bit with a slight shake of his head, glancing at Eliot just long enough to make sure he laughs. He does. Because it’s ridiculous.
Eliot plucks a blade of grass from between them and rolls it between his fingers. His knuckles brush up against Quentin’s stomach, and Quentin stumbles along what he’s trying to say. Smirking, Eliot leans in and quirks an eyebrow. “Sorry, I didn’t quite catch that, Q. You’ll have to start over.”
a whisper in the ear
Word Count: 2.3k
Quentin’s sitting in the living room, reading a book — something new that Kady had tossed to him when she came back from the library to help him “find a new obsession preferably not created by a pedophile, yeah?” — with his legs tucked up underneath him. His hair falls from it’s place behind his ear, and he reaches up to tuck it back into its place; a fruitless task but a habit that he’s not likely to break unless he cuts his hair. He shuffles further into the cushion of the couch, brow furrowing as the protagonist in the book hears a strange noise and decides to follow it. He shakes his head at her — never fucking following the strange noise, Patrice, god — but turns the page anyways.
The sound of the front door opening and closing fills the room, but it’s not enough to break his concentration. The books great, and the characters in it don’t make the best life decisions, but he can’t help but think that that’s why he relates to them. He still jumps when a creature jumps out of the closet and bares it’s teeth at Patrice. Still tries not to cheer, when a couple paragraphs later, she jabs the broken leg of a chair through its chest.

just HC things, who in the El SP can and can't sing? and what do you think they like to sing?
Oooooo okay. I honestly haven't thought about this before.
Elsword: so. I think whether this boy can sing kinda depends. I think Rune Master got kinda good at singing. I don't really know why. He just gives me decent singer vibes. I feel like he's more the type to learn every lyric to a fast song or a song with a hard rhythm and then try to keep up. He's competitive like that. I don't think Knight Emperor can sing (though that has not stopped him at all). I think Knight Emperor sings little jingles he makes up on the spot for whatever he happens to be doing. I don't really know for Immortal tbh. I mean he kinda has punk rock vibes?? But I see him as more of a drummer than a singer.
Aisha: Metamorphy of course can sing. She's got the idol aesthetic so she has to have the idol ability. I feel like Oz Sorcerer has a REALLY good singing voice but she doesn't sing a lot. In my head her voice sounds beautiful in a haunting kinda way. Like you're listening because it's good, but it's so good you feel like you might be possessed if you listen too close. Aether Sage can probably sing but I feel like she's self conscious about it and doesn't do it. I feel like Aisha mostly sings ballads.
Rena: In my head Rena hums more than she sings. And she just hums to herself while shes doing pretty much anything.
Raven: honestly. Raven sounds like David Draiman from Disturbed in my head. Do with that information what you will. I actually don't think he sings though. Like if he did, he would sound great, but he doesn't.
Eve: I feel like Eve is fascinated by music in general but I don't think her voice capabilities included singing at first so she's still learning (probably from Aisha). This is somewhat unrelated but I think Eve can play almost any musical instrument but is still learning the piano and the harp. Eve only sings to herself and limits herself to ballads for the moment (though she's planning to expand it)
Elesis: Elesis cannot sing and that has not at all stopped her from belting her favorite songs at the top of her lungs.
Chung: Chung can sing and I think he's able to do a Capella by ear. I don't think he was necessarily taught. I just think he has a natural ear for tune.
Add: Add doesn't sing. He taps/drums on any flat surface available to him. Especially if he's bored. Though I think Doom Bringer is the only one to still do it as often by third job. He comes up with really complicated beats that sound really neat. He's a one man drumline.
Ara: I feel like Ara can sing and dance. Though I feel like how well she does depends on how focused she is and whether she's being watched. If she's not focused and/or being watched she's probably gonna trip on something and/or mess up the words. I also kinda get rapper vibes off Shakti tbh. I don't know why but they're there.
Lu: Um. I think Ishtar can sing but I don't think she does. Timoria (+Abysser) gives me more rapper vibes. I feel like Iblis gets sing-songy with her voice, but its only ever when something actually manages to get away from her during her rampages and she's calling for it.
Ciel: I feel like Chevalier hums to himself whenever he's cooking. I think it sounds really pretty but I don't think he ever does anything more. Abysser raps with Timoria. I feel like Annular does sing lullabies and they sound really pretty and also very scary.
Ain: Bluhen can sing. Bluhen can abolustely sing. His whole thing is music. He sounds amazing and he will sing anything and probably even sings on demand. You could make a request of Bluhen and he would do it in a heartbeat. Like Eve, I think he's learned to play a lot of instruments, but I also think he could turn anything into an instrument if you gave him a bit to come up with a way to do it. I don't think Richter or Herrscher sing.
Rose: I don't think Rose can sing and I don't think she does.
Laby: Laby loves singing, but I don't think she's very good at keeping an even tone. Like Bluhen, I think she'll sing anything. Nisha, though, Nisha can sing. Her voice is soft and quiet and really soothing. And she'll sing whatever Laby wants her to.

Lady Jeyne Arryn, nicknamed the Maiden of the Vale, was head of House Arryn and, as such, Lady of Eagles' Nest, Defender of the Vale, and Guardian of the East during the reigns of Jaehaerys I, Viserys I, Aegon II, and Aegon III Targaryen. . She was a member of the first council of seven regents who ruled during Aegon III's childhood.
Jeyne became Mistress of the Eagles' Nest at just three years old in AD 97, during the reign of Jaehaerys I Targaryen, as her father and brothers are dead before her, killed by the Stone Rooks. She did not attend the Great Council of 101 AD, as she was still a minor, and her position was held by Lord Yorbert Royce, who served as Lord Protector of the Valley.
Up to three occasions her relatives questioned her legitimacy as sovereign. Her cousin Ser Arnold Arryn was locked in the Cells of Heaven sometime prior to the start of the Dance of the Dragons. She and her descendants were removed from the Arryn line of succession in Lady Jeyne's will.
When Lady Rhea Royce died childless, Rune Stone passed to her nephew; Lady Rhea's widower, Prince Daemon Targaryen, visited Lady Jeyne claiming his wife's strength. Lady Jeyne told him that he was not well received and to leave the Valley.
At the beginning of the civil war, Prince Jacaerys Velaryon flew north with his dragon seeking support for his cause, his first stop being the Eagles' Nest. According to Hongo, Lady Jeyne conditioned her support in exchange for Jacaerys making her reach ecstasy with his tongue. In the True Story it is related that Jeyne, despite showing her dislike towards Prince Daemon, remembered that Rhaenyra was an Arryn on her mother's side and that women should stay together. Her only request for support was that a dragon rider guard the Eagle's Nest from the dragons of the Greens. After their request was accepted, Jeyne and her men knelt in front of Prince Jacaerys.
At the end of the year, Prince Jacaerys sent her brother Joffrey Velaryon and her dragon Tyraxes to Seagull Harbor to fulfill her promise. He was accompanied by Lady Rhaena Targaryen, daughter of Prince Daemon, who took with her three dragon eggs. Joffrey would leave the following year for King's Landing, who had been taken by his mother, with a fleet from Seagull Port, while Rhaena remained in the Valley as Lady Arryn's ward.
In 130 AD Lady Jeyne sent men by sea to join Queen Rhaenyra's forces in the capital. When the queen was forced to flee from King's Landing after the riots that occurred, she sent ravens requesting support from her followers. Lady Jeyne replied that she would send men, but winter had begun, and the roads of the Mountains of the Moon were blocked by snow. The only way to send her forces was by sea through Puerto Gaviota, either with the Velaryon fleet or by chartering Braavos and Pentos ships, for which she would need money. But Rhaenyra had lost the support of the Velaryon after imprisoning Lord Corlys Velaryon, and had left the capital without a single coin. When forced to leave Dark Valley, Ser Harrold Darke recommended that the queen take refuge in the Valley with Lady Jeyne, but Rhaenyra chose to leave for Dragonstone, where she was captured by her brother Aegon II and executed.
Despite the death of Rhaenyra Lady Jeyne continued to support the cause of the Blacks. She gathered 1,500 knights and 8,000 soldiers, and agreed to hire Braavosi ships to take her south to face King Aegon. It also had a dragon, as one of Rhaena's eggs had hatched, although it was years before it could fight. When she obtained a fleet, Lady Jeyne sent ten thousand men under the command of Lord Leowyn Corbray and his brother Ser Corwyn.
The fleet arrived separately in Dark Valley and Maiden's Pool shortly after the assassination of King Aegon II, being greeted with parties and celebrations. Lady Jeyne herself left Seagull Port with her ward, once the capital was under the control of Lord Cregan Stark, arriving when the Hour of the Wolf came to an end.
In the year 131 AD, and due to the youth of the future monarch Aegon III, she was appointed to the council of seven regents of the kingdom. At the beginning of the following year she was forced to return to the Valley, as a large number of bands of savages from the Mountains of the Moon carried out a looting incursion, and she had to lead the defense of her lands.
After death in 133 AD From Ser Tyland Lannister, Hand of the King, Lord Unwin Peake took control of the kingdom as her successor. Lord Manfryd Mooton requested that any major decision be proposed until Jeyne and Lord Royce Caron returned to the capital, but Lord Unwin argued that she resigned her council positions upon leaving King's Landing.
Lady Jeyne Arryn died in late 134 AD. due to a bad cold. Her last moments were spent in the arms of Jessamyn Redfort at Maris's mother house, on an island off Puerto Gaviota. On her deathbed she made her will, naming Ser Joffrey Arryn, a fourth-degree cousin, as her heir. However, her cousin Ser Arnold and her son, Ser Eldric Arryn, were opposed and came out in defense of their rights, while Ser Isembard Arryn of Puerto Gaviota defended her own claim based on her wealth. The armed conflict divided the nobles of the Vale of Arryn, and the Iron Throne was forced to participate. Finally the designs of Lady Jeyne were fulfilled, being succeeded by Lord Joffrey Arryn.
She may have been a distant granddaughter or niece of Rodrik Arryn, the husband of Princess Daella and Lord of Nido de Aguilas, although it is likely that she is a distant relative since there is no information that Rodrik's children had children or even that they were married. Even so, she is a faithful character and proved to be a capable lady, despite the death of Queen Rhaenyra she remained loyal to the Blacks and Aegon III.
