I had a very odd dream where a train (or bus?) I was on got yanked into another world. While my dream had nothing to do with SVSSS, it did have my waking self thinking about how hilarious and/or horrifying such a thing could be as an AU.

Imagine Shen Yuan riding the subway, train or bus one day, when something happens and his whole car gets yanked into the world of PIDW. Nobody else in the car knows anything about PIDW, so Shen Yuan finds himself with the self imposed task of keeping this eccentric group of strangers alive in a weird world full of demons, monsters, and aphrodisiac plants.

The group’s first assumption would probably be that they’re still on modern earth, and just got teleported somewhere. Their second assumption, if they come across common folk, might be they somehow ended up in the past.

Then they run into some monster, or people riding on swords with specific uniforms, or a commoner mentions a name or event only Shen Yuan recognizes. The rest of the party debates what sort of Xianxia or Wuxia world they’ve ended up in, while poor Shen Yuan sweats bullets. He knows exactly what world they are in, and they are so screwed.

I have this image of poor beleaguered nerd Shen Yuan successfully protecting and leading this group of primary school kids, their cute teacher, and a handful of grannies and grandpas, while all the other adults and older teens keep wandering off and getting themselves in trouble.

Christina "Bliss" Utonium

(Nickname given by Bubbles, who is her favourite sister (don't tell anyone!))

Once a normal and perfect little girl, the daughter of Professor Utonium (whether adopted or from a previous relationship is up to audience interpretation) was accidentally exposed to various chemicals of the alphabet variety and, after being infused with Chemical W, mutated into what would later be known as the very first Powerpuff Girl. After living the first five years of her life with no powers and suddenly capable of more than she could have possibly imagined, she was unstable, but more than that she was scared. Scared of destroying everything she touched, scared of getting hurt, scared of hurting her dad. So after blowing yet another hole in the house, she fled to somewhere she could be alone and could gain control of her powers without hurting anyone she cared about.

since theyre made of different chemicals, she doesnt have the exact same powers as the other three girls. bliss cant fly, but she can teleport. she doesnt have laser eyes, but her... explosive personality more than makes up for it. she may not be the strongest or the fastest, but her telekenesis means she can hold her own just fine. she is not the ultimate powerpuff who makes the others look weak in comparison, she is just another member of the team - she has not been sent off to space - who is capable but not invincible

or, she would be. after being alone on a deserted island (Him was not communicating with her through Mih, but she did talk to herself. a lot.) for a decade, shed really prefer to focus on the luxuries of civilian life. and who can blame her? if i was eating nothing but fish and coconut for 10 years, id want a good burger or ice cream too. and shes missed out on sooooooo many movies... hey, have you girls heard of tiktok? bliss would never shy away from a fight, but shes not exactly seeking it out. shes too busy trying to adjust back into society, for better or for worse. and trust me, romance is the LAST thing on her mind right now

for the most part, the powerpuff girls remain a terrific trio, with bliss aiding them now and then, the same as in the show how she pops back to earth every so often for the plot. except she is still on earth and lives at the utonium residence, because after being separated from her family for 10 years, why would she give that up again? this is the best of both worlds; she gets to be around her family instead of being put on a bus, and shes not forced into the main group permanently

in terms of design, she was inspired by the Perfect Little Girl from the original whoopass shorts; she was the first after all! this is mostly shown in her colour scheme but an earlier draft had a similar hairstyle for her island look. since she was at one point a normal human, unlike the other ppg she has five fingers, a nose, and she lacks the iconic ppg eye design, along with all the other traits i use to separate the x-creations from regular humans. what makes bliss special is how normal she seems (if you ignore the teleporting and the levitating of course). design process:

AU where the Gramarye Troupe catches wind of Apollo when he’s a teenager and takes him in. Apollo does not want to be here and is going to make it everyone else’s problem. Everyone is trying fruitlessly to make him learn magic and he firmly believes this is the stupidest shit in the entire goddamn world.

The only good thing Magnifi did, in Apollo’s correct opinion, is tell him how his bracelet worked. Apollo proceeds to use his power to figure out all of the Gramarye magic tricks & then obnoxiously explain this back to everyone to make them feel stupid.

Magnifi just sees this as an encouraging amount of promise. He’s like Apollo you are the one true heir to Troupe Gramarye & Apollo is like no thank you I am going to get a real job. Give the Troupe to Trucy please & thanks she deserves it more than those other two clowns.

i like when people give atsushi cat-like traits like purring or having sharper-than-average canines and i think we should take it a step further and just keep adding onto it. atsushi should chuff. he scratches on walls and his desk until there's obvious nail marks digging into the wood. he rubs against the others to mark them as his territory. there has to be a meeting held because he won't stop shedding and there's white hair everywhere so a good portion of the agency's budget goes into getting everyone lint rollers. he freaks people out at night because of his tapetum lucidum. and he does all of this subconsciously so if you tell him he does any of these things he'd be absolutely mortified

I don't really care for marriage and family planning in fanfiction, but I generally mind it less in PGR, but especially so for Chrome

Since Chrome is adopted (and its implied that the Smith family has always adopted their heirs), it doesn't really matter if you can have children or not because...he doesn't really care and neither does Mr. Smith.

Mr. Smith's only concern is that you won't be an embarrassment to the Smith name, that your achievements can stand next to his and that you'll be a good political asset for his son. Still weird rich people shit, but in a very different way than how this trope usually plays out.

Chrome cares less about the political aspect and would treat it more as a bonus than the goal (you can't tell me the guy who comes up with back up plans for everything and spends indeterminate amounts of time making sure he understood your invite to a date to be romantic in nature and then spends more time making sure he curates the perfect reply wouldn't also think about how he could use your name and title to his advantage), he mostly just wants to be married to you because he thinks its romantic and he gets to pick the perfect ring for you and stare at it and think about your wedding day and how beautiful/handsome you looked and the memories you made with precious friends and/or family.

These two could care less if you're trans, or intersex, disabled, ill, a man, a woman, both, neither, or some indescribable thing that is neither and both at the same time. Chrome will continue side-stepping his way to your heart, and John Smith is still going to approve gifting you the Smith family heirloom

I wonder if it was Grace who used to go out there every day, filled with grief at the loss of her son, and finding this the only way she could mourn in private. or maybe it was Luther who used to stand by the statue and talk to him after everybody else had left and he was feeling lonely. perhaps Pogo would pat his knee whenever he walked past, which lead to that particular spot wearing down. idk but I'm gonna be thinking about this for weeks

the worst (best) dynamic imo here is danny and vlad's in the sense that they do earnestly want to be each other's family but their morals are diametrically opposed and so it cant work unless one of them changes. they're playing tug-o-war with the other's beliefs but can't seem to get the other to cross that line.
