extra: RAAA!! thank you for this juicy request i loved writing it so much like breathless, whiney viktor AAA SAVE MEEE!! anyway thank you for the thought i loved this so much kshdkh
you could tell how frustrated viktor had been recently. from the countless nights of sleeping at the lab to the several crumpled up pieces of paper spread along his desk; he was struggling with his latest project. but unfortunately that came with him not sleeping for days— which left you just as frustrated as he was. but when you finally managed to rip viktor away from his work, just long enough to go home and change, possibly eat something, you were reluctant to let him go back to the lab. and the only way you could get him to relax and turn that big brain of his off was to force him to think about only you.
so, after his shower you force him to sit down in a chair in your shared home, planting kisses along his body while you adjust his legs to lay more comfortably for what you had planned.
“my love, what are you doing?” viktor sighs, running a hand across his face as he melts into the chair even though he really shouldn’t. “i need to get back to the lab.”
“nuh uh, you’re going to sit there and relax.” you order with a slight smile. your hands running down the front of his chest and down his thighs, making a slow descent in between his parted legs.
vik lifts an eyebrow at you as you speak, not really understanding what you mean by ‘relax’. you’re unraveling his towel from his thin waist while vik watches on with a tired gaze. and it must have been the several sleepless nights stuck at the lab to cause him to process this so slowly because it takes you fully wrapping a hand around his soft shaft before he even reacts to what you’re doing. his droopy, exhausted eyes fly open wide as your fingers softly grasp around him.
he is definitely awake now. good.
“no more work. no more lab. you need to take a break, v. think of me and only me. right here, right now.” you instruct the man, effortlessly cutting him off before he could protest you, while slowly stroking up towards his head. in response vik sucks a tight breath in through his clenched teeth, amber eyes settling on you in a look of slight irritation. not to worry though, his gaze would quickly soften as time went on for you two; soon he’d look upon you with pleasure in those pretty eyes of his.
unsurprisingly it only takes a few strokes to make vik fully hard. it was all but a simple thumb press against the slit of his head, sliding your fingers across his sensitive tip, before stroking down his shaft to turn him into putty in the palm of your hand; while his own fingers grip the arms of the chair. he groans, eyes fluttering as you press your thumb against his sensitive tip again. soaking in every moan that slips past his lips as your hand jerks him off. stroking him from base to tip, slow and steady, planting kisses along his left knee and thigh.
you move your hand faster at vik‘s sweet moans. taking a second to glance up at his pretty face as he turns bright red, even to the tips of his ears, as he tries his best to look at you through the pleasure.
“you’re so pretty viktor.” you praise against his knee as your hand moves faster. sliding your free hand to grab the base of his cock while your other hand moves faster against his sensitive head, smearing precum every which way.
vik whimpers at your touch and your words. his body tensens as you use both hands along his shaft. his breath hitches in his throat with another whimper, tears clinging to his pretty eyelashes as your hand rubs over his sensitive tip again and again. god, he looked so good like this. under your work, head tilted back, fingers trembling, struggling to sit still, slipping in his chair, and whimpering your name like a prayer.
you needed to get him out of that damn lab more often.
your mouth waters at the sight of the man before you. you lean forward, spit rolling off your tongue and dripping onto the slit of his head before you follow its path and slip him into your mouth.
“d-darling!” vik cries, thrusting his hips upwards and forcing more of himself into your mouth. you take him with ease as he practically fucks himself into your mouth now.
he’s rapidly coming undone now. his fingers manage to tangle into your hair while his hips move erratically. you suck harshly when his cock hits the back of your throat, spit slipping down your chin, causing vik to moan your name.
oh he’s so pathetic and sweet like this. rutting helplessly into your mouth, slipping in the chair he sits in because he’s so eager to come; mind blank with only the thought of how good your mouth feels.
“mmph! i can’t, please!” viktor sobs. his mouth falling open with sinful moans and whimpers. his pretty eyes fall close as he whines your name again and again, chest heaving with every breath he semi-struggles to take as his orgasm burns through his entire being. “coming!” the words slip off his lips with little warning as his climax surges through him. his back arches slightly, forcing the rest of his cock into your throat as he comes.
you keep your mouth wrapped around him until he finally stops moving and his hips do not falter or stop until he’s entirely spent. you take every drop he spills before he begins to whine from overstimulation; so you slip your lips from his cöck but keep your hand slowly stroking along his shaft.
“do you still want to go back to the lab or should we just keep going?” you ask devilishly, smiling up at viktor’s blushing face.
he blinks in his dazed, post-orgasm state but manages to shyly nod in response. “i want to keep going.” he mutters.
good thing you had already planned to keep going. nothing would stop you from pleasing him so he could forget all of his worries.

Complicated
warning: none
characters: jude x reader
summary: when you're trying to make dinner but he ends up making an unnecessary comment that bothers you
request: yess!
may contain spelling and translation errors!
It was a quiet night in your home, and you and Jude decided to cook dinner together. You were chopping vegetables while Jude stirred a pan on the stove. It was one of those simple and intimate moments that you loved, where the conversation flowed without rushing.
—You’re getting good at this, huh?
Jude commented, watching you wield the knife with precision.
—Only because you didn’t see how many fingers I almost cut off earlier.
You replied with a light laugh.
He laughed, exchanging knowing glances. You loved these moments with your boyfriend, where nothing seemed complicated or distant.
—Do you think we’ll be like this forever?
You asked, almost distracted, as you organized the vegetables.
—Like what?
Jude replied, turning to you.
—I don’t know... so comfortable. Like, even after everything we’ve been through, it seems like we’ve never lost that.
—Of course, babe. You’re my safe place. You always have been.
The comment made you smile, but before you could respond, Jude added something, distracted as he stirred the pan:
—And I’m lucky, because you’re not as complicated as other people I know.
You froze. The words were simple, but they sounded like a blow. It wasn’t what Jude had said, but how it sounded at that moment.
—I’m not complicated?
You asked, trying to hide the hurt tone.
Jude looked up, noticing something strange in your voice.
—That’s not what I meant. It’s just… I don’t know, you’re easier to deal with than a lot of people.
You dropped the knife on the counter, trying to process it. All you could think about were the times you felt like you were a burden to him —especially with your crises and the difficulty in adjusting to life in Madrid. That sounded like confirmation that you needed to try harder not to be a burden.
—Easy to deal with? —You repeated, your voice now lower. —Jude, do you have any idea how that sounds to me?
—Y/n, calm down. That's not what I meant. I just... —He ran his hand through his hair, clearly confused by your reaction. —I just meant that you're amazing and that you make everything seem simpler.
You took a step back, crossing your arms.
—But it's not simple, Jude. I'm not simple. I'm full of problems and insecurities. You know that.
—And I never said that was bad! —Jude exclaimed, getting closer. —Sweetie, you're human, like everyone else. But I love you precisely for who you are.
You looked away, biting your lower lip to hold back the tears. You knew Jude hadn't meant any harm, but his comment brought back all the times you felt inadequate, as if you needed to be "easy" to deserve his love.
—You'll never understand what it's like to feel like that. —You whispered. —Because you’re Jude Bellingham. Everyone loves you effortlessly.
—Hey, hey. —He held your arms gently, forcing you to look at him. —Don’t say that. Everyone can love me as a player, but who I really am… only you know. And you’re the one who makes me feel complete.
You blinked, letting out a stubborn tear.
—It’s just… sometimes I feel like I need to be perfect. That I can’t be a complication in your life.
Jude sighed, pulling you into a hug.
—Babe, you’ve never been a complication. I’m sorry if what I said made you think that. You’re the best thing in my life, and I love even the complicated parts of you.
You were silent for a moment, leaning your head against his chest as you felt the warmth of his embrace.
—I’m sorry for reacting like that. —You murmured. —It’s just that I…
—You don’t have to apologize. —He interrupted, kissing the top of your head. —I was the idiot. I should have thought before I spoke.
You stood there, hugging each other, while the smell of the sauce began to grow stronger. Jude pulled away a little, holding your face with his hands.
—You're perfect for me, Y/n. Not because it's easy, but because it's you.
You nodded, still feeling the weight of your emotions, but also the comfort of his words.
—I love you, Jude.
—I love you too. And please, let me know when I say something stupid again.
You laughed softly, wiping your face with the sleeve of your shirt.
—I think you already know when you say it.
—Fair enough. —He smiled and went back to the stove. —But for the record, I think I burned the sauce.
—Really? —You rolled your eyes, laughing. —I think we both need help in the kitchen.
Jude smiled at you, relieved to see you calmer.
—As long as I have you here, we can burn as many dinners as we need.
And with that, the tension was replaced by laughter and jokes, as you tried to save dinner.

A healthcare worker’s take on Dungeon Meshi shipping discourse
Hiya y’all! As someone who has become a fan of Dungeon Meshi (honestly one of my favorite franchises at this moment) I’d just like to give more of a nuanced take on a shipping discourse I’ve seen. I’d like to clarify this with I am an NA. I’ve literally been recognized by the country I live in through the sunshine awards system on my contributions to my patients lives. All this to say, I know a bit about healthcare. And I also think that. Personally, people should be allowed to ship whatever they please. They shouldn’t be made to feel guilty for what they enjoy, especially if it isn’t hurting anyone.
I’d like to clarify what I am speaking on, this being the controversy surrounding the ships Mithrun and Kabru, vs Laios and Kabru. Both of which are valid ships in my opinion! I think both are great! And whichever you like you should feel comfortable and happy to indulge in it.
I work mostly with geriatric and bariatric patients, as I work on a cardiac unit. So, by proxy, I witness a lot of disabled people come through. This to say that these people HAVE partners. And their partners care for them. Such as feeding their partners if they need help eating, helping their partners feel safe if they have dementia, I have even seen someone clean their spouse after they had soiled themself. All of which are examples of love and affection, as partners. Not as a provider doing their job.
The argument i see many a time against the ship of Mithrun and Kabru, is that it is unethical. As Kabru would be a “provider” in this case, and Mithrun would be a “patient” to this I say, is Kabru being paid in this hypothetical? Is he following training he has been given? Is he following a code of ethics given to healthcare workers when he helps Mithrun with his disability? Disabled people deserve love. And they deserve a partner that cares for them. So the argument that the ship is gross is kind of… weird. Isn’t it? Again. Mithrun and Kabru as partners do not have to be your cup of tea, but that doesn’t mean that anyone who DOES ship them is gross or immoral. Helping your partner because they are disabled is an act of love, and completely different from a provider helping their patient.
Statistically, everyone will either die able bodied or live to become disabled. It happens to everyone. Disabilities are almost as much of a fact of life as breathing is. I am new to the Dungeon Meshi fandom, but the insinuation that someone able bodied cannot have a disabled partner is kind of horrible to actual able bodied/disabled partnerships? The dynamic is so common, and so to say that it is gross, almost implies that the dynamic in a day to day is gross.
This post isn’t meant to be inflammatory, there are so many dungeon meshi ships I love with all my heart. Some that are rare pairs, some that are common within the fandom. I just think that people should be more friendly with each other. Kabru has two hands guys it’s okay /j /lh. Just please be more friendly guys. Both ships are valid. But the way the fandom gets so angry over it makes me scared. And I imagine it makes other people who are new to the manga/anime a little scared too.
#this is meant to be friendly#please dont get mad at me lol#hot take?#labru#mithrun#kabru dungeon meshi#dungeon meshi#shipping discourse#kabumisu

Hi, can I please get Wally West x trans reader? Maybe something where the reader is feeling dysphoric and he comforts them, and also some dry humping?
Wally West x FTM reader
Headcanons
Readers vaguely based off of Daredevil, since I like that guy a lot. And the mental image of Wally and his gritty boyfriend is fun to me. Don’t correct me on if keystone city is right, idc.
Nobody could really tell when you and Wally started dating. You just happened to be a vigilante in Keystone city before Wally showed up after being kid flash and all that. His presence really messed up your mojo.
You were the devil incarnate, ready to break as many bones as it took, but you didn’t kill. That didn’t stop you from maiming folk though. Having Wally swoop by to bring people to the hospital and then be back to try and lecture you, really hurt your image.
You were there first though, so there was no way Wally was gonna stop you from doing what you had to do. In the beginning it was kind of like a new tomcat showing up in someone else’s territory.
You didn’t have the speed to be all over the city like Wally, so it was kind of accepted that hed take care of everything else when you were busy. People started begging for Wally to be the one to catch them doing a crime, since you’d break their kneecaps, and then nail them in the head with your billy club.
The relationship between you two was kind of a running joke in the league, especially in the Titans. They all knew that Wally thought you were hot in your own broody, horned way. Someone, probably Garfield, would joke about your suits matching, since you both were red. And yellow, if you wear the yellow and red daredevil suit.
You two were kinda like Batman and Superman, in a way. With you being broody, growly, the night, I am vengeance and will make you suffer the consequences. And Wally being easier going and lighter, full of jokes and hope.
That didn’t mean Wally couldn’t snap and get down and gritty if he needed to. That was probably when you started feeling attracted to him in return, when he couldn’t go easy on somebody who deserved it.
Up until this point you’d have picked up the changes in his pheromones and body heat, as well as his heartrate, which made you understand that he liked you. But it was after you smelled the blood on him and heard his blush rushing through his veins from an almost animalistic adrenaline that you started returning the feelings.
You guys probably date for months, if not a year before the league and the Titans figure it out. Wally would say something about needing to get back to the city since he had to make it in time for your anniversary dinner, and that’s when everyone would figure it out.
The two of you a very much opposites attract. Someone is gonna try to use your relationship with Wally to make you join the league, but he wards them off before you can break tall their teeth for even asking.
You being trans doesn’t matter much to Wally, outside of how it may affect your relationship. And by that I mean, if you for example don’t want him touching your torso or specific areas of your body, what wording to use, helping you with your T injections, so on and so forth.
Hes more perceptive than people think, at least after you guys have been dating a while. Hed start noticing the different signs that point at you feeling dysphoric. Like you going out for longer patrols because being the devil makes you feel more masculine. Or you wearing your binder for too long, if you need one of those.
I don’t think hes just gonna appear and demand answers, instead Wally has tried to figure out overtime what might help. He knows you aren’t the type to just talk about all your feelings and what can be done about it, so Wally would try to find other ways to be supportive and helpful.
You can always tell what he’s doing, since Wally starts going on about how handsome his boyfriend is, how manly you are and smell, how good your muscles look. Even if he’s buffer than you, you better expect him to drool over your muscles.
If you are fine with being touched, Wally would also just cuddle you when you have days where you struggle to look at yourself or even being in your own body. Hes always ready to talk or make changes if he can do anything to help, or just lay in silence if that’s what you need too, even if laying still for a longer time is difficult for a speedster.
Having a speedster boyfriend also means it’s easy to sense it’s him. Having the abilities you do, means you can point out any hero or villain you’ve met before, even in a crowd of a thousand. But the speedster’s connection to the speed force makes them so easy to point out.
It becomes a comfort for you, to feel the buzz that’s seemingly always present around Wally. It’s different around each speedster, but Wally is the most special out of all of them, to you anyways.
Having a speedster boyfriend also means you have access to something very few do, a boyfriend who can vibrate and who has close to no recovery period. This just means Wally is all over you on days where you are fine with that.
And if its one of those days where you want to get off to deal with dysphoria, you barely have to say anything before he’s on you, or beside you, or behind you.
Dysphoria means you don’t want to be touched skin on skin sometimes, and on days like this, good ol dry humping is just as good as anything else Wally could think up. Hes especially a fan when its him laying down and you on top.
It makes you seem so strong and in charge, even if your eyes can’t meet since well… you cant see like the average person. Wally is just giddy and almost buzzing out of his skin as you guys grind together, his hands shaking where they’re holding your hips.
Your heightened senses let you notice just how much he starts buzzing when he gets close. Other people would never notice until he’s just above to fall over the edge, but you can almost taste how his scent and pheromones start buzzing in the air when he’s turned on.
Hearing his heart race and his blood rushing through his body becomes a turn-on in its own way, just as much as grinding down on him and listening to him moan. Wally is also the type to kiss when you guys grind together, his tongue almost fizzy feeling against your own.
It becomes a lot easier to forget your dysphoria with a boyfriend like Wally, who does everything in his power to distract you from it, especially when he gets to rut against you and moan into your ear or neck. Just watch out for small sparks that might come off him, and that your senses don’t get too overwhelmed thanks to the speed force.

if we make it through december (we'll be fine)
bucktommy | fix-it | 3k words | rated G (ao3 link in the source)
Buck was exhausted, 48 hours covering Christmas Eve and Christmas Day because everyone deserved to have time to spend with their families, and sure, the Buckley-Han-Wilson Christmas Extravaganza had probably been the best party ever, the person Buck had wanted, had planned on spending Christmas with had decided Buck wasn't worth it. But now he was left with four days off after a rough shift and unused, sad-looking Christmas decorations dotting the loft. He dumped his duffle bag at the door and tugged one strand of garland down that he didn't even have the energy to bundle up to be packed away as he dropped it on the island.
Buck pressed his hands against the edges of the island, head bowed, letting the exhaustion seep into him. He could fall asleep standing up, he was that tired, but a knock on the door made him lift his head. His eyes were narrowed in confusion when he went to answer it, Hen and Chim and Bobby were on shift, Eddie was, as far as Buck knew, settling in quite happily in El Paso. There was no one else....
"Oh," he breathed as he looked through the peephole and took an involuntary step back at the sight of Tommy on the other side of the door.
Buck hesitated, just for a moment, before he reached out and opened the door just as Tommy seemed to be stepping away, his expression sad, scared, and just as tired as Buck felt.
"Ev-...Buck," Tommy said, turning, his hands gripping a small, brightly wrapped present.
Buck blinked, frowning, and he greeted in return, "Thomas." Tommy's eyes narrowed at that before shaking his head slightly.
"I. Um. I was working yesterday, but...," Tommy said as he pressed the present in his hands closer to Buck. He exhaled, his shoulders deflating a bit more. He seemed smaller to Buck, his shoulders curved in like it was intentional, and Buck looked down at the present. He shook his head, looking back up at Tommy. "I bought it before...before," and there was a hesitation there, like Tommy couldn't bring himself to actually say what happened.
"Before you blew up our relationship?" Buck supplied, his eyebrows lifting slightly like he was actually helping.
"Yeah, yes," Tommy said, rubbing the back of his neck as he practically breathed the words. He pushed the present at Buck again, but Buck didn't take it. Instead he reached out, his hand grabbing Tommy's wrist and tugging him forward almost through the doorway. Tommy was off balance, and he stumbled, but his hand came up to grip Buck's other arm to steady himself. Once Buck was sure he wasn't going to fall, he pulled Tommy the rest of the way into the apartment, shutting the door behind them both. He took the present from Tommy's hand and set it on the island next to the discarded garland. "Bu-...."
"I'm going to bed," Buck said, cutting off that stupid name from Tommy's mouth, the sound of it still made his skin crawl, and he moved toward the stairs up to his bedroom. "Sleep on the couch, I've got an inflatable mattress in the closet if that would be more comfortable."
"Buck," Tommy protested.
He turned to face him, shaking his head. "When you stop calling me that I'll listen to what you have to say," he explained, "But I've been awake for two days straight, and, I think, you have too?" Buck looked at Tommy until he nodded slightly in agreement. "You are going to be here when I wake up, and we are going to talk."
Tommy exhaled, looking around for a moment before he shook his head. "We'd both be more comfortable if I leave. I'll...I'll come back and we can talk all you want."
"No," Buck said, his voice firm, as moved away from the stairs and toward the coat closet. He pulled out the pillow and the blanket from where they had shoved them after Billy Boils, and he pushed them into Tommy's arms. "If you leave," Buck took a breath that shook before he continued, lifting his chin and trying to steady himself, "Then that's it." He met Tommy's eyes evenly. "If you leave, then don't come back, I won't answer the door." He nodded slightly before turning and trudging up the stairs.
Buck focused on stripping down, on grabbing his own sleeping clothes, and trying not to listen for movement downstairs. He pulled the blankets on his bed back and slid inside, curling on his side with his back to the stairs.
He fell asleep, comforted by the fact that he hadn't heard the door.
The loft was completely silent when Buck woke up. He checked his phone and saw it was just before noon. Barely six hours of sleep, and it wasn't nearly enough. He held his breath, listening closely, and very, very faintly, he heard movement in the lower level. Buck let out that breath, laughing a little, mostly out of relief. He had worried...worried that his ultimatum had been too much, that once again Tommy had decided that he wasn't worth the trouble. He rolled out of bed, heading to the bathroom to pee and wash up before grabbing a hoodie to stave off the cold of the loft. He made his way to the stairs, and sat down half way down as he watched Tommy moving silently through the kitchen.
He was dressed in just his undershirt and his underwear, having stripped off his henley and jeans to sleep, and Buck watched him move around the loft as he felt a happy warmth settle in his belly. He had missed this, missed waking up to this, and the fact that it wasn't his hit him suddenly, his heart clenching and tears stinging at his eyes. He shook his head and pushed himself to his feet moving down to sit at the island.
"You don't have to cook," Buck said finally as he watched Tommy stir the pot.
Buck watched Tommy take a deep breath, not turning around as he said, "What else was I supposed to do? I thought about taking down the decorations, but that's...."
"Not your place," Buck finished, and Tommy turned slightly before nodding just a little. "Probably couldn't do it quietly anyway." Tommy shook his head as he turned and poured Buck a cup of coffee, and he watched in silence as Tommy prepared the coffee exactly how Buck liked it, and the domesticity of that made his heart hurt even more. He placed the cup of coffee in front of Buck just as Buck got to his feet and went back upstairs without a word. Tommy called out his name as a question, the name that set Buck's teeth on edge, but Buck ignored him as he dug around in his dresser for the gift he had bought just after Halloween when he thought things were great, when he thought things were going so well, and he carried it downstairs.
It was unwrapped, still in the white box it had been packed in when he bought it, and he set it down on the island next to the present Tommy had bought. Buck shrugged slightly when Tommy turned and looked down at it in confusion, "You weren't the only one who shops early."
"Evan," Tommy said, the word coming out in a breath.
"So you do remember," Buck replied, and Tommy exhaled at him, shaking his head and turning back to the food. Buck stayed silent, watching the movement of Tommy's muscles as he worked, and finally he broke the silence with, "You didn't give me a chance."
"Buck."
"Thomas." Tommy took a deep breath, turning the stove off as he turned around, leaning back against the counter. "You left, and you didn't give me a chance to respond. I mean, I-I should have followed you. I should have argued. Right then I should have...I should have done something."
"I. I don't know that it would have mattered," Tommy said. His hands were pressed hard against the counter, the knuckles turning white, and Buck wondered if he was having the same difficulty staying away, but that was a pipe dream almost certainly.
"Because you hate me now," Buck said, and he tried to make it seem like a joke, like it was self-deprecating, like it wasn't serious, but that was the truth of the weight that had settled on Buck since Tommy had left. Buck had done something, and now Tommy wanted nothing to do with him.
"I don't hate you, Buck." See? He couldn't even say Buck's name right.
"Thomas," Buck interrupted, and Tommy exhaled at him.
"Why do you keep doing that?"
"It's your name, isn't it? Since we're not using nicknames anymore."
Tommy took a deep breath, looking up at Buck and then looking away, shaking his head. "'Buck' is your nickname."
"Yes," Buck said, pointing his finger at Tommy for emphasis. "And you're not supposed to call me that."
"Evan," and once again Tommy breathed his name, and yes, it sounded like Buck was annoying him, but it also sounded fond, and for a moment, Buck just let that warmth, that fondness, settle into him.
"There you go," Buck said, stepping around the island to lean back against it, not quite right in front of Tommy but close.
They stood there in silence for a long moment, and Buck didn't mean to, but his breathing matched Tommy's for several seconds before Tommy finally took a breath to speak. "Your apartment isn't big enough for two, Evan." Buck looked around in confusion, shaking his head, but Tommy held up a hand to cut off any protests. "My place isn't any better, you have an entire life here, I have an entire life there, it wouldn't fit."
"We could have talked it out! We could have discussed what we need two of, what we don't, we could have talked about getting a different place, we could have talked," Buck argued, taking a step forward before forcing himself back to press his back against the island. "But you didn't give me the chance."
"I couldn't." Tommy's smile was sad when he lifted his head to look at Buck.
"I always do this. I-I'm too much, I do too much, I go too fast, except...." Buck took a deep, but shaky breath, before he continued, "I don't actually, I've never been this all in." He moved closer to Tommy and didn't back away this time. "But you...I love you so much that I want everything."
"Evan," Tommy said, but Buck shook his head.
"I want to live with you, I want to get married to you, a-and have kids," Buck waved his hand, laughing as he shook his head, "Adopt kids, but I want a family with you. And I've never...." Buck smiled, breathlessly as he trailed off, "I've never wanted that with anyone. Until you. Not even Abby, just you."
"That's the problem, Evan."
"It's not a problem, Tommy, it's really not."
Tommy rubbed a hand over his face. "It will be." He nodded slightly before he looked down. They fell silent again, Tommy's words hanging between them. "You thanked me for gay marriage, Evan." Tommy shook his head again, looking up at Buck. "I asked Abby to marry me the year that was legalized, I was still too terrified to be myself, and you...." Tommy swallowed deeply, and he offered a very small smile that didn't entirely reach his eyes, "And that moment, you stopped looking at me like I was your boyfriend. You thanked me for legalizing our ability to get married, and you were looking at me like I-I was some kind of gay Yoda."
Buck blinked at him. "I don't know what that means." Tommy looked at him in confusion, and Buck snorted. "Star Wars, right? I fell asleep during the first one so Chim didn't bother with the rest," he explained with a shrug, and then he waved the words away with a hand. "That wasn't...." He looked up at Tommy, and he actually took a step forward and didn't immediately step back. "I was trying to point out that maybe it was too fast, but I wasn't....I was trying to make sure you didn't feel pressured."
"You never pressured me, Evan," Tommy said, finally taking his hands off the counter and stepping forward as well. "But I could see everything very clearly. We would settle in together, and that would be the catch. You would be settling. You would eventually want something else, someone better, and that would break me." Buck opened his mouth to protest. "It would, Evan. I was already in love with you, and the longer it went, the deeper I would fall, and...." Tommy trailed off with a laugh that sounded bitter. "I'm barely making it now."
"You love me too?" That wasn't the important part, and Buck knew that, and the breath Tommy took in response was the only answer he needed. "Do you know what I want? What I really want?" Tommy creased his forehead in confusion, but he nodded in encouragement for Buck to continue. "I want people to stop making decisions for me." He stepped closer to Tommy. "You decide I don't know what I want, Eddie and Hen, even Bobby, they all decide I can't text you, and my own sister says I just need to meet someone special to get my mind off you, but I've already met someone special, someone I want." He looked at Tommy, tilting his head slightly. "It's not settling, not for me."
"Evan."
"I've dated a lot of women, Tommy, and yeah, you're my first boyfriend, but I don't need to date anyone else to know what I feel, what I need, what I want. And that's you, and yeah, maybe in two years or ten, we break up, but I could die on our next call, or your helicopter could crash, or the entire state falls into the ocean and we never get to say goodbye," Buck offered a small smile when he said that, "But I meant what I said. It's better to be together than to ever be apart." Tommy took a step toward Buck again, and Buck moved to meet him, reaching out to take his wrist. "There's always going to be a chance for heartbreak, Tommy, I can't promise otherwise, but it's worth it isn't it? This?" He gestured between the two of them. "Us, we're worth it, yeah?"
Tommy turned his wrist, sliding his hand through Buck's grip until he was clutching his fingers gently. "Evan, there's still....I'm not a good person."
Buck shook his head. "I know how it was before, how you were before with Gerrard, you've become a better person." He used Tommy's hold on his hand to pull Tommy closer to him, close enough he could feel the body heat of him. "We've all got work to do on ourselves."
Tommy turned his head slightly so that his nose nuzzled against Buck's temple. "Are you suggesting couples therapy, Evan?" Buck couldn't really tell if he was joking or not, but he shrugged anyway.
"Maybe," Buck said, lifting his head to nuzzle against Tommy's chin. "Maybe we need to start over." Tommy pulled back to blink at him, and Buck smirked a little. "Hi, I'm Evan Buckley, I've only recently figured out I'm bisexual, and you're really hot," he said, laughter in his voice, and Tommy rolled his eyes, shaking his head slightly. "I still owe you a beer."
That got a laugh out of Tommy finally. "We're not going to Miceli's again."
"I've got pretty good Lakers tickets though, if you're interested, it's on New Year's Eve, so you may already have plans," Buck offered, angling his mouth up to press a kiss to Tommy's jaw.
Tommy took a breath, turning to study Buck for a moment. "No, there's no plans," and Buck smiled at that. "That can't be our first date, though, that's too big."
"You're already cooking for me," Buck offered, and he laughed when Tommy gave him a look. "Dinner, then, tonight. Not Miceli's, there's a new sushi place that opened not far from the station, I've been wanting to try it."
Tommy chewed on his lower lip for a moment before nodding. "Okay. We'll start over." He tugged on Buck's head, moving him just a few inches closer. "We'll go slower this time. We'll actually talk about everything we should have talked about before. We'll even go to therapy, or I will and you can come too if the doctor calls for it?" Tommy lifted his eyebrows in a question, and Buck nodded. "Okay, then," and that got him a bright, happy smile, and Tommy's breath caught at the sight.
"I love you. I should have said that before I asked you to move in, I know, and I'm going to say it as often as I can. I'm saying it now before we go on our first date again so you know that I am in this," Buck said, stepping as close to Tommy as he could, his body pressed against Tommy's. "I will not run, and this time...this time I will chase you if you run."
Tommy looked at him then, just breathing as he reached up and traced a finger over Buck's birthmark and down his cheek, before he nodded. "I will hold you to that," he said as he leaned in and pressed his lips to Buck's, sealing the conversation with a kiss. Buck pressed closer, letting out his breath against Tommy's mouth as he did. He moved back from Tommy then, keeping hold of his hand as he pulled him toward the stairs. "Evan," Tommy protested.
"We both need more sleep," Buck replied. Tommy tried to stay still, but Buck was determined and he tugged Tommy close again. "Just sleep, we'll both keep our clothes on, I swear it."
Tommy huffed a laugh and allowed himself to be pulled forward.

🔑 acceptance is key
You gave up.
You’d stopped wondering why Jungkook always seemed to catch you at your most awkward.
It was like you were that good at embarrassing yourself, and he was that good at being there to witness it.
But his presence felt significant, not just because he always seemed to be there, but because those moments—however embarrassing—had started to feel oddly comforting, like someone silently rooting for you in the background.
Like that one person you never actually spoke to but who consistently likes all your posts?
Whether it was your latest hallway stumble or your random solo commentary about your grocery list, Jungkook was always there.
Watching. Smirking. Shaking his head.
Avoiding him stopped being a thing. You stopped trying.
It got harder to keep a fixed schedule.
Your classes kept switching between in-person lectures and online sessions as you focused on your thesis.
The apartment building turned into a stage for accidental encounters—hallways, the garbage area, the stairs. You’d exchange hellos, quick chats, banters, and fleeting moments that made you feel less…alone.
Today was no different.
You stepped out of your door, balancing your bag and an iced coffee, only to find him locking his door. His hair was still slightly damp, and he was dressed in an oversized white shirt and jeans.
“Morning,” he greeted, his voice low and slightly raspy, like he hadn’t been awake long. His dimple made its familiar appearance when he smiled, and you couldn’t help but let your gaze linger for a few seconds.
“Morning,” you managed to squeak, juggling your bag and fumbling with your keys. Your iced coffee wobbled dangerously in your hand.
You knew he was watching you struggle, but you didn’t know he was biting his lip to hold back a grin.
Finally locking your door and securing your coffee, you shot him a glance. “So, what’s the agenda today? More random appliance repairs for desperate neighbors?”
“Maybe,” he said, chuckling as he stepped beside you. “Depends on how many people I see kicking trash bins today.”
You groaned and covered your face with your hands, realizing he’d seen your meltdown. “Okay, that was one time. And it was a moment of weakness.”
He shrugged, slipping his hands into his jeans’ pockets. “Hey, no biggie. We all have our moments. There’s no shame in that.”
A warm feeling spread through you. Too warm. Too comfortable. You rolled your eyes and waved. “Alright, alright. Bye, Jungkook.”
💃🏻 divas
You had a presentation coming up, and, despite years of experience, the fear of speaking in front of people never quite went away.
The thought of standing in front of your class still made your stomach drop. So, you’d been practicing nonstop, trying to memorize the key points to calm your nerves.
By the time you hit the stairs of your apartment building, you were already in full-on presentation mode.
“Speech, speech, agriculture and resource management, speech, speech, inclusive development for a more equitable world—” you waved your hand dramatically as you climbed.
“And that, my dear friends,” you muttered to yourself, “is why we’re taking economics to... to TAKE THE FREEDOM WE DESERVE!” You raised your fist in the air like you were leading a revolution.
When you reached the top, you finished with a flourish, curtsying as though you’d just wrapped up a Broadway performance. “Why thank you, thank you. No time to prepare—it was all impromptu!”
CLAP, CLAP, CLAP
You froze.
Of course.
Jungkook. Standing at the bottom of the stairs with an amused grin plastered across his face, his eyes sparkling like he'd just witnessed the best performance of a century.
You blinked.
You'd grown used to these perfectly timed encounters with him, but that didn't make them any less embarrassing.
So, without missing a beat, you turned to him, giving a dramatic bow, as if the applause was exactly what you expected. “Thank you, thank you,” you said with an exaggerated flourish, playing along. “I couldn’t have done it without my loyal fans!”
Later that night, you found yourself in his kitchen, sipping tea as Jungkook crouched on the floor, sleeves rolled up, intensely focused on fixing your ancient electric fan.
Yes, it was old, but it was salvageable, and the repair was free in exchange for a cup of tea.
“You know,” you said, watching as he tightened a screw, “I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who willingly fixes things for their neighbors. Is this, like, a secret hobby or something?”
He glanced up at you, lips curling into a teasing smile. “Neighbor,” he corrected. “You’re the only one getting this free repair service. And no, not a hobby. I do this at work—electronic appliances, product development, testing… all the boring stuff.”
"Boring?" you echoed, raising an eyebrow. "No way. Not boring at all. Honestly, I think I should be friends with you, just in case. If you haven’t noticed, I’m basically a walking disaster. I could definitely use a repair guy!"
He laughed, setting the screwdriver down. "Hmm, should I start charging?" He leaned back against the counter, looking at you with a smirk. "So, what are you studying?"
“Just wrapping up my bachelor’s in economics,” you said, taking a sip of tea.
“And working too, right?” he added, tilting his head.
“Yup. Waitressing in the meantime,” you replied with a grin. “So, you know, living the dream. Hot stuff.”
His eyes widened slightly, clearly impressed. “Economics? While working? Wow. That’s… wild. And kind of amazing.”
“Yeah, right?” you replied, playfully tucking your hair behind your ear.
Jungkook’s gaze lingered on you a moment longer than necessary before he cleared his throat and turned back to the fan.
The conversation drifted from school to work to random bits of life—your rambling and his chuckles filling the space.
By the time he finished fixing the fan, you realized you’d been standing in his kitchen for over an hour.
🍻 welcome to after hours what can i get ya?
The next day, your shift started like any other at the bustling bar.
It was a casual spot, perfect for after-work crowds and people looking to unwind.
It was also known for its servers—those who “enhanced the customer experience” with short skirts, crop tops, and a whole lot of upbeat energy.
You adjusted your uniform, the cut highlighting your cleavage and legs. The regulars' eyes already followed you, but you'd grown used to it. It was just part of the job.
Balancing a tray of beers and nachos, you navigated the packed floor with practiced ease.
Then, you turned a corner and—
Jungkook?
There he was. Right in the middle of a group of coworkers, laughing at something one of them had said.
For a second, everything froze. His eyes locked onto yours, and his jaw dropped. He quickly grabbed his water glass and brought it to his lips—only to choke when he fully realized who he was looking at.
You’d told him you worked as a server—you just never mentioned where. Did that matter?
“Are you okay?” one of his friends asked, slapping his back as Jungkook coughed.
You? Completely unbothered. Professional. Cool. Totally unaffected by the fact that your cute, laid-back neighbor was sitting there, staring at you like he’d just realized you had boobs. Or a woman. Not the pale, messy-haired, oversized hoodie-wearing mess you were at home.
“Hi, welcome to After Hours,” you said smoothly, pulling out your notepad. “What can I get for you guys?”
Jungkook’s friends rattled off their orders—beer, nachos, the usual—but Jungkook? He stayed silent, eyes still wide, locked on you.
“And you?” You turned to him, giving him a soft smile.
“Uh—just, uh, a burger,” he mumbled, his voice barely audible.
“Fries with that?” you asked, raising an eyebrow, smile never leaving your lips.
“S-sure,” he stammered, those boba eyes wide and a little embarrassed.
“Got it,” you replied, flashing him a full smile. “I’ll be right back with your drinks.” You turned to leave, but you swore you caught him sighing softly as you walked away.
The smirk that crept onto your face was unavoidable. He’d tried to play it cool, but his eyes had lingered just a bit longer. Not that you blamed him. The uniform was designed to get reactions like that, and you knew the effect it had.
Yeah, I look different in my work clothes.
Wait, why are you enjoying this?
When you returned with their beers, you set them down with practiced grace. “Enjoy,” you said, in a rehearsed, flirty voice, flashing another sweet smile before turning to walk away.
As you leave, you heard one of his friends say, “Dude, she’s hot.”
You didn’t catch Jungkook’s reply, but you kept walking. Still, the smirk never quite left your lips.
🍆 cockblock!
The next evening, you were coming home from work, juggling a grocery bag and your tote when you spotted Jungkook ahead of you, walking toward his door. You were about to joke about your brief interaction at the bar the night before, but—
This time, he wasn’t alone.
There she was—tall, gorgeous, and effortlessly stylish. She stood by his door as Jungkook unlocked it, laughing at something he’d said, her hand resting on his arm.
You froze mid-step. Should you keep walking? Turn around? Pretend you’d forgotten something?
Why did you feel so awkward?
Too late. He looked up and saw you.
“Hey,” he greeted casually, flashing you his usual soft smile.
You managed a stiff "hey" in return, offering a tight-lipped smile and a quick nod before bolting to your door like a startled deer.
Inside, you tossed your keys onto the counter, muttering under your breath, “Cute. Whatever. I don’t care.”
But you did.
You stood there, groceries in hand, staring at the counter. What was this feeling?
You couldn’t name it. It lingered, unresolved, like a song stuck in your head but with no tune.
You lay down on your bed, staring at the ceiling, bracing yourself for the night. Part of you half-expected to hear the sounds of his obviously better-than-yours sex life drifting in from next door.
Thin walls.
But the night stayed quiet. Too quiet.
The next morning, you bumped into him on your way to class. He was dressed in sweats and a shirt, his hair slightly tousled like he’d just rolled out of bed, a black plastic trash bag in his hand.
“Morning,” he said, offering that small, easy smile.
You hesitated before blurting out, “Thanks for keeping it quiet last night. As you can see, I had to get up early for class today.”
He blinked, clearly caught off guard, before a grin spread across his face. “Oh, uh... that’s because she didn’t stay long.”
You froze. “Oh…Okay. Well, I hope I didn’t cockblock or anything.”
Jungkook let out a soft laugh, brief but warm. “All good.” His eyes crinkled at the corners, and you swore you felt your stomach flip.
You couldn’t think of anything else to say, so you nodded awkwardly and turned to walk away, silently cursing yourself.
“Hey,” he called after you.
You stopped and turned, heart racing for no reason.
“Yeah?”
“Have a good day.” He shrugged, his smile lingering longer than neccesary.
“You too,” you mumbled before hurrying toward the exit. Your cheeks may or may not have been red.
As you walked away, you realized your hands were gripping the strap of your bag so tightly it hurt.
Stupid Jungkook, with his stupid bunny smile.
🎙️ we should start a podcast
“YOU THINK I WOULDN’T FIND OUT?!” A loud voice, followed by the unmistakable crash of something glass breaking.
You glanced at the time—7:10 am.
The walls of this building might as well be paper.
Groaning, you buried your head in your pillow. You were free today. No classes. No work. Just sleep.
The yelling grew louder, words like “cheater” and “homewrecker” repeatedly thrown around during the heated argument.
Sleep was a lost cause now. You sighed and sat up, glancing at the clock.
By the time you opened your door to investigate the noise, Jungkook was already leaning in his doorway, a mug in hand, grinning like he was watching a reality TV show.
“Good morning!” he said, raising the mug in a mock toast.
“Ugh! They’re still going?” you grumbled, rubbing your eyes as you heard the voices not backing down.
He shook his head, chuckling. “But free entertainment, right?”
You couldn’t help but laugh.
You’d planned to sleep in, but somehow, you ended up in the middle of the hallway with Jungkook, coffee in hand, both of you fully immersed in the commotion.
You’d nod dramatically whenever someone made a solid point, raising your mug like you were cheering them on, and then pull exaggerated faces every time someone threw out a lame argument. Honestly, this was way more entertaining than staying in bed.
A few hours later, you and Jungkook were on your couch, two empty bowls of bibimbap scattered on the coffee table. You were trading theories about the fighting neighbors. Jungkook’s convinced the third party is someone from within the building.
“Jungkook, where are you getting this idea? Only Murders in the Building? You don’t even watch that show!” you groaned. It’s been hours, and he’s still holding on to this theory.
He leaned in, eyes wide with drama. “I swear I saw the guy in the parking lot at 10 pm last week. He was with a blonde lady who looked like the woman from the first floor. Heavy smoker, big hair, dirty blonde? You know her. They whispering.”
“What if they’re just talking? Friendly talk?” you quipped, not buying his theory because of weak evidence.
“In the dark? Behind a car? At 10 pm?!” He was practically jumping off the couch.
“Well, still! They could be just talking.”
“Whispering,” he corrected. “And about what? Hmm? Recipes? Best day to take out the trash? What’s so important to discuss at 10 pm in the dark?”
He was so invested now, his hands gesturing with full animation.
“Okay, okay, calm down, Perez Hilton. Jeez.” You raised your hand, mock surrendering.
He threw his head back, and you both laughed.
“We should start a podcast. Only Gossips in the Building with Jungkook & YN,” he said, his eyes glinting with excitement.
And just like that, your conversation was a whirl of podcast names, wild theories, and dramatic reenactments.
Hours flew by, with no signs of slowing down.
🔧 handyman
The next morning, you barely managed to drag yourself out of bed for your morning online class, splashing water on your face in a half-awake state. As you reached for your laptop, a knock at the door startled you.
Opening it hesitantly, you found Jungkook standing there, a black repair tool box in hand and a soft smile on his lips.
“Good morning!” he said, his voice a little too cheerful.
“Good... morning?” you replied, eyebrows furrowed. You were too groggy to connect why he, was at your door first thing in the morning.
He gestured toward your living room. “So, I noticed your bookshelf yesterday—half-built, just sitting there taking up space, and, well, I figured you’re home for classes this morning, right? Thought I’d finish it.”
Oh. That bookshelf. You cringed internally as you remembered your disastrous DIY attempt. The instructions had seemed so simple… until they weren't. That was three weeks ago.
“Honestly? I could really use your expert services,” you admitted, stepping aside to let him in.
He chuckled and followed you to the living room. Kneeling in front of the half-built bookshelf, he inspected it with a quick glance.
“My services aren’t free anymore,” he said, deadpan.
You gasped in mock offense. “Wow, already monetizing your skills? How much are we talking here?”
“I’m happy with just a cozy cup of coffee,” he said with a playful smirk, not looking up.
You clutched your chest dramatically. “Oh, thank goodness. Something I can actually afford. Guess I should milk this generosity before you raise your rates, kind sir.”
His laugh was low but genuine as you shuffled to the kitchen.
When you returned with the coffee, you handed it to him like it was a prized treasure. “Here you go. Only the finest instant brew.
He accepted the cup with a quiet “thank you” and focused on the instruction manual you’d abandoned weeks ago.
“I’ll be at the dining table for my lec…” You paused mid-sentence, scanning for your bag when you remembered you still needed to put on some lip tint. You couldn't show up looking like a zombie today for an important class.
Jungkook, still waiting for you to finish, simply stared at you, his gaze soft but expectant.
“Oh, sorry,” you mumbled, distracted. “Just remembered I need to look alive for class today.” You quickly began rummaging through your bag as soon as you found it on the couch, your fingers grazing over everything but the lip tint.
“You look perfect no matter what,” he said casually, not missing a beat, his attention already back on the bookshelf.
Your heart skipped a beat, the warmth spreading across your cheeks as his words settled in. You tried to shake it off, your voice a little shakier than usual.
“Lectures starting soon, so… if you need anything, which I highly doubt, just wave me down.”
You didn’t even look at him when you spoke, but his simple compliment hit you harder than you expected, and your stomach fluttered in a way you couldn’t quite explain.
From your seat at the dining table, you caught glimpses of him—his brows furrowed in concentration, an occasional nibble on his lower lip. Every now and then, his eyes flicked toward you, and you could’ve sworn he caught you staring back at him too.
By the time your class wrapped up, Jungkook had not only finished the bookshelf but had also fixed the lamp that he’d switched on yesterday but didn’t work.
As he packed up his tools, you blurted, “I’m so sorry. A cup of coffee isn’t enough for all this work.”
He shrugged, a smirk playing at the corner of his mouth. “It’s fine. I had the time. Besides, I couldn’t just let these things stay broken when they’re easy fixes… they mess with my peace.”
You rolled your eyes. "Okay, Mr. ‘I can fix you’ guy. But still..."
An idea popped into your head, and before you could second-guess it, you walked over to the fridge.
“Hey, so, I made pasta last night... It’s not, like, fancy or anything. I was actually craving japchae but, didn’t have the ingredients, so... pasta. Anyway, um, take this as payment? I mean, if you want... It’s not much, but it’s food, so... yeah.” You hesitated, still unsure about offering your cooking. It wasn’t exactly top chef materiall. You offered the container to him.
His smile widened as he took the container. “Pasta works. Thanks. Wow, honestly, I’m enjoying getting paid more than I thought.”
“Good,” you quipped, opening the door for him. “Maybe we can negotiate a discount next time?”
He chuckled, giving a lazy wave as he stepped out. “See you, YN.”
The next morning, when you opened your door to start your day, a paper bag greeted you. Inside was your container, now filled with japchae, and a note:
“I cooked too much last night. – JK”
⚰️ buried things
Slowly, without meaning to, Jungkook became a constant in your life.
Before you even realized it, you found yourself spending more and more time in each other’s apartments, as if it just... happened.
You slowly started making space for each other in the chaos of your busy lives, finding yourselves yapping away at the end of each exhausting day.
You’d talk about the most random and dumbest things—the mundane happenings in the apartment, his annoying coworker that he’d impersonate to perfection, or your professor, whom you were pretty sure was having an affair with one of the faculty staff.
And you’d end up laughing so hard, you’d be on the floor, tears in your eyes.
He’d fix things for you without you asking or pick up on the little things you’d meant to take care of but forgot.
He’d listen to your mindless ramblings. You’d catch yourself mid-story, realizing you had already told him this a million times before—and you’d apologize. But Jungkook would just look at you, smile, and say, “It’s okay, I like hearing this story. Especially the part where you—“ and he'd lean in, genuinely interested in what you said.
It was like he saw all the tiny messes in your life, both literal and figurative, and took care of them because he wanted to. It was just in his nature.
And somehow, you started feeling more and more comfortable talking to him about everything—those random, unfiltered thoughts that flitted through your mind. You didn’t feel the weight of being judged or the worry of being too weird.
You didn’t even know when it happened, but somewhere along the way, you started really noticing him. It wasn’t just that he was attractive—though, of course, he was—but there was something beyond that.
You noticed little things.
Like, how good he smelled, that subtle hint of fresh laundry mixed with his cologne. Or how he’d touch his ears when he got shy.
And oh, food! The way he got so dramatic about it. When the food was amazing, his face would scrunch up like he was about to start a fight with anyone. It was like he was angry, but also excited, and it was so ridiculously endearing.
But the one thing you couldn’t ignore anymore is the way his eyes lingered on you. Not in a way that felt strange, but in a way that felt like he saw you.
There seemed to be stars in his eyes, and sometimes they lit up even in the dark, appearing brighter when you smiled.
The things you've buried are clawing their way to the surface, and it terrifies you.
It’s been ages since you allowed yourself to truly feel.
How do you face what’s been hidden for so long?
So, you do what’s easiest, what’s most familiar:
🫥 avoidance
You avoided him again.
This is the best course of action.
When you heard his door open, you’d pause mid-step, holding your breath until you were sure he’d gone inside.
If you were in the hallway when he appeared, you’d suddenly remember something you “forgot” in your apartment and make a quick retreat.
Once, you almost tripped over your own shoes in your rush to slam your door shut. Smooth.
"People can only meet you as deeply as they've met themselves."
And you're not ready to meet yourself at the level life is requiring you to be at.
But Jungkook noticed. Of course, he did.
One evening, there was a knock at your door.
🚪open the door
You hesitated before opening the door, uncertainty gnawing at you. Were you ready for this?
When you did open it, there he was—Jungkook, standing with his hands shoved deep in his pockets. His expression was unreadable, but his eyes—his eyes were searching.
“Are you avoiding me?” he asked, blunt as ever, but his tone was gentle, almost hesitant.
“No,” you replied too quickly, the word almost sounding like a question.
He raised an eyebrow. “Then stop pretending you don’t see me in the hallway. Stop shutting the door before I can say hi. Stop avoiding me.”
You winced, retreating into the safety of your living room. He followed, shutting the door quietly behind him. “I’m not—”
“Sure. You’re just too busy, right?” he said, his voice softer but laced with frustration.
You folded your arms defensively. “I am! Work and school are killing me, Jungkook. I barely have time for myself, let alone anyone else.”
Silence hung between you.
When you finally turned back to face him, he sighed softly. Slowly, he stepped closer, his hands still buried in his pockets as if to keep them from reaching out.
“I’m sorry,” he said softly, his voice low and steady. “I just… I feel like you’re avoiding me, and I don’t know why, or if I’ve done something wrong. That’s all.”
You shook your head, unsure of how to respond. Confrontation wasn’t your strong suit, and right now, you felt cornered.
"I’m sorry," was all you could manage.
For a moment, neither of you spoke. The silence wasn’t awkward, but it was heavy, charged. His gaze didn’t waver as it traced over your face, as if searching for some hidden clue. Your heart raced beneath the weight of it.
“What?” you asked, your voice barely a whisper.
“I need to tell you something,” he said, his tone serious but gentle. “But you don’t have to do anything about it, okay? I just... I can’t keep it to myself anymore.”
You froze.
His eyes held that look—like he was about to spill something that had been bottled up for too long.
You’ve never been good with spilled milk. Do you just wipe it up? What if it’s too much to handle?
Can you just leave it and cry? Panic crept in, and you took a step back.
No no no.
“Jungkook—”
“I like you, YN” he said, cutting you off. His voice was steady, but his hands fidgeted with his thumb, betraying the tension in his body. You caught the slight tremble in his fingers as he continued, “A lot. And I know I wasn’t exactly subtle.”
Your breath caught. “I... I don’t know what to say—”
“It’s okay,” he said, his words softer now, warmer. “I just needed to tell you, because it’s been sitting with me for a while. I don’t expect anything from you. There’s no pressure to respond or feel the same way. I just think…you deserve to know how amazing I think you are. That’s all.”
There it was. Spilled.
You stood there, frozen for a moment, as his words settled around you, your mind scrambling for the right words, but none came. His gaze held yours, patient and kind. He took another step forward, his hands reaching up to gently rest on your shoulders.
“Hey,” he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. As if he read the questions in your head, he added, “It’s okay. You don’t have to figure everything out right now.”
He reached up, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, his warm fingers brushing your cheek for just a moment.
You felt a shiver run through you at the softness of his touch and closed your eyes, letting it linger.
“Okay,” you whispered, more to yourself than to him.
“Okay,” he said, his lips curling into the faintest smile.
And for the first time in a long time, you didn’t feel rushed.
You didn’t feel like you had to fix anything, clean up the mess, or even apologize for the things you couldn’t face.
It was enough to just be.
🖤 crack
You feel like dying. No seriously.
Achy, feverish, and barely able to breathe through your nose, you debated ignoring the insistent knock at your door. You know it is Jungkook, who else?
You open the door to find Jungkook standing there, his bunny smile all teeth flashing and eyes crinkling. “Hey, I cooked too much last night,” he says, holding up a huge container. But his smile fades into concern when he sees your state—blanket draped over you, eyes red.
“Wait, are you sick?” he asks, placing his hand on your forehead.
“Yeah, I feel like dying. I’m just gonna sleep it off—”
“You need to eat and take medicine,” he cuts you off as he steps inside.
“Jungkook, I’m literally contagious—”
“My immune system is strong, I’m not gonna get sick,” he says confidently, already heading into your kitchen and rummaging through your cabinets like he lives there.
“What are you doing?” you ask, wanting him to leave so you can go back to bed.
“I’m gonna reheat the food so you can take your medicine,” he says, placing the pot on the stove.
“Don’t you have work?”
He waves you off. “I’m not going in. My strong immune system and I are staying here,” he says with a gentle smile.
You groan, leaning against the doorframe of your room. “You’re gonna get sick too!”
“Nah,” he says, stirring the pot with a ladle. “But if I do, you’ll owe me, and I’ll think of something as payment.”
You blink at him, too sick to come up with a sharp reply. “You’re impossible.”
“You’re stubborn. Now, let’s get you to bed while we wait for your food.” He smiles as he gently guides your shoulder toward the bed.
You obey, mostly because you don’t have the energy to fight him, and watch as he moves around your apartment, reheating the soup and fussing over your blanket situation, saying it wasn’t warm enough.
You sleep the entire day, letting the sickness take over, but Jungkook makes sure you eat, stay hydrated, and take your medicine. He checks your temperature every four hours and places a damp cloth on your forehead.
When you woke up in the middle of the night, you found him curled up on the couch. You noticed he had changed from his work clothes this morning into sweatpants and a hoodie, which was now pulled over his head, his face smooshed into a pillow. His legs were bent awkwardly to fit your short couch, and the blanket you’d thrown over him earlier had slipped halfway onto the floor.
You shuffled closer, your socks muffling your steps. "Hey," you whispered, gently nudging his shoulder.
"Hey," he mumbled, blinking up at you groggily. "You okay? Need something?"
"Yeah.” You smiled softly, trying to keep the laugh from escaping at how adorable he looked, all disoriented and sleepy. "You to not sleep on my couch."
He blinked at you in confusion, his sleepy eyes squinting. "What? Why? It's fine—"
"Just come sleep on the bed with me. Please?" you interrupted, your arms instinctively wrapping around yourself to ward off the chill.
He stared at you for a moment, his gaze softening as his lips tugged into the faintest smile. "Are you sure?"
You nodded, a small smile tugging at your lips. "Yes. Let’s go."
His smile widened, and the dim light from the lamp caught in his eyes, making them sparkle. Slowly, he sat up, picked up the blanket from the floor, and followed you to your room.
The bed creaked slightly as he slid under the covers beside you, keeping a noticeable gap between you both. His movements were careful, as though he was afraid to disturb you more than he already had.
"Don’t steal the blankets," you mumbled, already half-asleep again as you burrowed into your pillow.
"Wouldn’t dream of it," he murmured back, his voice so soft and gentle it felt like a warm blanket of its own.
You felt the faintest brush of his breath as he settled beside you, and the space between you seemed to hum with a comfortable warmth.
You drifted back to sleep with a clogged nose and a full heart.
The next morning, when you woke up feeling more like yourself, Jungkook was gone. But there was a neatly folded note on your nightstand, beside a full water bottle and your medicines neatly arranged.
Take your meds on time, okay? There’s food in the fridge for the whole day. Rest up. I’ll see you tonight. – JK
You sat there, staring at the note, feeling your chest tighten in the best way. Like this tiny piece of paper had power over you. And then, like it was nothing, you felt the corners of your mouth curve into a smile.
When you opened the fridge , you find everything prepped and labeled, you couldn’t help but feel flutters in your stomach.
After eating and taking your medicine, you returned to bed. As you settled under the covers, you heard a crack... but you smiled, because it was just the walls you’d built starting to crumble.
♥️ mush mush
Life with Jungkook had become like a well-worn hoodie—cozy, familiar, and easy. It was a rhythm that felt so natural, you sometimes wondered how you’d survived without it. You’d always thought your schedule, your goals, and that thick wall around your heart left no room for anyone else.
But he didn’t just fit into your life. He expanded it, creating space for you to breathe and for himself to occupy every empty corner you hadn’t realized was there.
You learned his quirky habits, and he learned yours.
His laundry hobby (yes, hobby) was a serious thing to him. Jungkook treated it like a sacred ritual, complete with special detergent and fabric softener combos he swore by. “It’s about the clothes-to-detergent ratio,” he’d explain, holding up his freshly laundered Calvin Klein boxers like a badge.
Meanwhile, you’d start one task—say, doing the dishes—and somehow end up reorganizing your bookshelf because, obviously, that was the logical next step. Jungkook would laugh when he caught you confused, gently nudge you back to the original task, or finish whatever you had left undone.
The cooking thing had become a ritual too. You’d started cooking for each other when time allowed—mostly him, though, because he was always willing to cook. So, on your day off, you decided to surprise him with his favorite dish. When he walked in and saw it, his face lit up, eyes wide with genuine surprise.
“Did you make this for me?” he asked, his voice dripping with surprise, his eyes big and bright.
“No,” you shot back, “It’s for the cute guy right next door.”
“Oh, he’s cute? No, no, he doesn’t want to be called cute. He’s hot, right?” He pouted.
“Yeah,” you replied, taking a bite, “He’s so hot I’m gonna ride his dick someday.”
Jungkook choked—and you couldn’t help but laugh. He looked at you in wide-eyed disbelief, but his smile was already tugging at the corners of his lips.
“Careful, baby.” He smirked. “That’s a very dangerous thing to say.”
You just kept eating like you hadn’t just said something that made your own insides warm. But your bravado faltered when Jungkook leaned closer, his fingers brushing against your lips.
“You’ve got sauce,” he said softly, wiping it away with his thumb. And then—like it was the most casual thing in the world—he brought his thumb to his lips, licking it clean.
The sound he made was enough to make you press your legs together.
Fucking hell.
Of course, you’d had your moments. The intense, messy, make-out sessions that left you breathless and tangled in each other’s arms. But nothing beyond that. Not yet.
Because Jungkook was gentle. Respectful. Even though you could see the hunger in his eyes, he never pushed. Never made you feel like you were anything less than perfect, even with all your hesitations.
It wasn’t that you didn’t want him.
Jesus, have you seen the man? A full-course meal. A body that screams sex, a face that could make anyone write fanfics about him. He could easily be a Calvin Klein model!
But some part of you still felt like crossing that line was final. A seal on something monumental, something with the power to change your world in ways that scared you more than you'd ever admit.
But tonight, as you watched him laugh at your antics and go about his weird little Jungkook ways, you realized something else.
It’s been two months since his confession, and even though he told you he didn’t need an answer, you know deep down that you can’t keep avoiding it.
Jungkook had bared his feelings with such honesty and vulnerability, and even if he insisted he didn’t want a yes or no, you knew better.
Because you knew, deep down, the walls around your heart had fallen…
Crushed, powdered, nothing but dust now.
And as you sat with that realization, you understood something even more profound:
It wasn’t force that shattered them.
It was his gentleness.

A Cozy Christmas Gift🎄♥️
Character: Husband!Manny (Mayans MC) x Black!Reader.
Word Count: 900+.
"A Season of Love Christmas Series 🎄♥️"
The soft glow of early morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a warm hue in the room. You stirred awake, the peaceful atmosphere wrapping around you like a soft blanket. Christmas morning had finally arrived, and as you blinked the sleep from your eyes, you caught a glimpse of your husband, Manny, still sprawled out beside you. His short hair was slightly askew in that effortlessly charming way, and his lips curled into a relaxed smile in his sleep.
A fond smile crept onto your face as you reached out, brushing your fingers along his arm. The faint sound of holiday music floated in from the living room, mingling with the faint smell of something sweet in the air. It wasn’t long before you felt a soft squeeze on your hand, and Manny’s eyes fluttered open.
“Good morning, wifey,” he murmured, his voice still husky with sleep. He shifted closer, draping an arm over you, pulling you against him. “Did you sleep well?”
“Better now,” you replied, grinning up at him. “But you might need to step up your game if you want to win ‘Best Christmas Husband’ this year.”
Manny chuckled, a playful glint in his eye. “Oh, I don’t know. I’ve got a few surprises up my sleeve.” He leaned down, pressing a lingering kiss to your lips, his warmth igniting a spark of anticipation within you.
You could feel the excitement building. “What surprises? You know I love surprises!” you exclaimed, leaning into him, eager to see what he had planned.
“Why don’t you get dressed and come out to the living room?” he suggested, a smirk dancing on his lips.
“Okay, okay, I’ll be quick!” You hopped out of bed, a flutter of excitement filling your stomach. You quickly dress in your favorite sweater and leggings, the soft fabric hugging your curves comfortably.
As you made your way to the living room, the scent of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the air, mingling with the sweet aroma that had drawn you from your cozy nest. The moment you stepped into the room, your heart skipped a beat.
The space had been transformed into a magical reading nook. Custom shelves lined the walls, filled with an array of books in various sizes, colors, and textures. A plush armchair sat invitingly in the corner, draped with a soft blanket and positioned near a window that streamed in warm sunlight. The perfect spot for curling up with a book.
“Manny! This is amazing!” you gasped, your eyes wide with wonder. “I can’t believe you did all this!”
He shrugged, a proud smile spreading across his face. “You’ve talked about wanting a reading nook for ages. I figured this was the year to make it happen.”
You walked closer, running your fingers over the shelves in awe. “But how did you manage to pull this off after I went to bed last night? This looks like it took forever!”
He chuckled, his confidence evident. “Well, I may have had some help from the guys. A little Christmas Eve teamwork goes a long way.”
“Seriously? You roped them into this?” You laughed, shaking your head. “I can’t believe you got them to come over for a reading nook makeover while I was asleep.”
“Don’t underestimate my charm,” he teased, stepping closer and wrapping an arm around your waist. “But there’s more.”
You looked closer and saw a beautifully wrapped box resting on the arm of the chair. With eager hands, you unwrapped it to reveal a stunning deluxe edition set of the Legacy of Gods series. Your heart swelled with joy. “Oh my god! I’ve been wanting these forever! How did you know?”
He stepped closer, wrapping his arms around your waist and leaning down to meet your gaze. “You’ve dropped enough hints about it over the past year. Plus, I know how much you love to get lost in those stories.”
You grinned, feeling overwhelmed with affection. “You went all out, huh?”
“You deserve it,” he said, sincerity lacing his tone. “You work hard, and I know how much your reading means to you. I wanted to create a space where you can escape whenever you want.”
“Thank you, Manny. This is the best gift ever,” you replied, your voice barely above a whisper as you gazed into his eyes.
He leaned in closer, his lips brushing against yours in a soft, teasing kiss. “It’s not just the gifts, though,” he murmured, his breath warm against your skin. “I’m also here to keep you company while you read. I can think of plenty of ways to distract you.”
“Oh really?” you challenged, raising an eyebrow playfully.
He smirked, his confidence radiating. “Oh, yeah. I can help you figure out how to properly appreciate those books. Starting with a few of my own ideas…”
You laughed, your heart racing as he pulled you closer, the warmth of his body radiating against yours. “I think I’m going to love this reading nook even more than I thought.”
Manny’s grin widened, his playful demeanor shifting into something more heated. “Just wait until you see what else I have planned for our Christmas day,” he teased, leaning down for another kiss.
As the kiss deepened, all thoughts of books and cozy reading corners faded away, replaced by the magnetic chemistry between you two. The world outside melted away, leaving just you and Manny in your little oasis of love and laughter. This Christmas was shaping up to be unforgettable, filled with surprises, warmth, and the promise of stolen moments together.

Mornings Are the Hardest
Paring: Bucky Barnes x reader
Warning: Angsty with a happy ending
Word Count: 1.5K
Summary: Bucky Barnes has pushed away the person he cares about most, afraid of being vulnerable, of letting someone into the broken parts of himself. After an emotional breakdown, he finally admits that he wants more—more than the fleeting moments and the painful goodbyes—and when he opens up, he finds that the person he loves feels the same. With that realization, both Bucky and the reader can begin to heal, together.
Bucky Barnes used to love mornings—well, he used to. Back when the days were simpler, before everything got complicated. Before Hydra, and most importantly, before you.
Mornings were never a thing to him. He’d wake up, usually alone, the cold sheets around him just a reminder of the battle scars on his soul, his body, the battles he’d fought, both in war and with himself. He was fine with being alone. He had to be. After everything, he learned to push people away—keep them at arm's length. It was easier that way.
But not anymore.
Not since you.
You broke through the walls he’d built around himself. What started as a late-night distraction, a way to escape the nightmares and the crushing loneliness of his life, became something much more than he ever intended. The moments spent with you—soft laughter in the dark, the comfort of your touch, the way you made him feel like maybe, just maybe, he wasn’t beyond saving—those moments filled something inside him he didn’t even know was empty.
But the mornings… they were the hardest.
He hated waking up to an empty bed, the space beside him cold, and the imprint of your absence hanging in the air like a ghost. He could still smell the faint traces of your perfume on the pillow, the lingering heat of your skin where you had been, but you were gone. Always gone by the time he woke up.
It used to be that those bruises you left on him—the marks of your passion, of your need—didn’t mean anything. They were just physical signs of a fleeting thing. But now? Now, they felt like something else. Reminders of everything he couldn't keep, reminders that you weren’t sticking around, that whatever this was between the two of you was always just temporary.
He had no right to want more. He had no right to ask for it, especially when his life was built on lies, blood, and broken promises. But the more time he spent with you, the more he realized that he didn’t want to be alone anymore. Not like this.
But how could he tell you that? How could he admit that he was falling for you when he was so broken, when he was convinced you deserved more than someone like him?
When Bucky arrived at the compound later that afternoon, he could feel the tension in his chest, the anxiety that had built up all day. Everyone was doing their usual thing—Sam was cracking jokes with whoever would listen, Natasha was on her laptop, and Wanda was sipping coffee on the couch. But you, you were sitting at the table, talking with Steve, laughing at something he said.
The sound of your laughter hit Bucky like a sucker punch. It wasn’t the kind of laughter that made him smile anymore—it was the kind of laughter that made his chest ache, that reminded him of all the things he couldn’t have.
He stood in the doorway for a moment, watching you, his heart heavy. You looked so carefree, so radiant, and it made him feel even more like an outsider. His stomach twisted, the familiar pang of jealousy clawing at him when he saw the way Steve smiled at you. But you didn’t see him standing there, didn’t notice the way his world seemed to slow down as he watched you talk, unaware of the war raging inside him.
“Bucky!” Sam’s voice broke through the fog in his mind. “You gonna stand there all day, or you want to join the rest of us?”
Bucky snapped out of his trance, forcing himself to move forward. “Yeah, sure,” he muttered, slipping into the seat next to Sam.
You turned then, offering him that soft smile that used to make his heart race—but now, it just made him feel like a fraud. A stranger sitting across from someone he wanted to be close to but had no idea how to be.
“Hey, Bucky,” you said, voice light, casual. Too casual. “How’s it going?”
Bucky opened his mouth to respond, but the words caught in his throat. He couldn’t do this anymore. Not with you. Not like this. “Fine,” he said, his voice rough. He avoided looking at you, his gaze darting to the beer in front of him.
“You sure about that?” Sam asked, raising an eyebrow, his gaze flicking between Bucky and you.
“I’m fine,” Bucky repeated, his voice hardening. He picked up his beer and drank it too fast, hoping the burn in his throat would drown out the emotions bubbling inside him. But it didn’t work.
You leaned in a little closer to Steve, laughing at something he said, and Bucky’s stomach churned with the kind of frustration that only came when he felt out of control. He couldn’t take it. He couldn’t just sit here and pretend everything was okay when he knew it wasn’t.
Without another word, he stood up abruptly. “I’m gonna head out,” he muttered, already turning away.
“Bucky—” you called after him, but he didn’t stop. He didn’t want to hear the emptiness in your voice, the concern that you probably didn’t even realize was there.
By the time he got home, he was suffocating under the weight of his thoughts. He slammed the front door behind him, trying to ignore the questions from the others. Inside, he climbed the stairs to his room, pacing back and forth, hands running through his hair, a desperate need to escape the thoughts that were drowning him.
“You can’t keep doing this,” he muttered to himself. “She’s gonna leave.”
It wasn’t a question. He knew it. He was pushing you away—had been for weeks now—but he couldn’t stop. The thought of you getting too close, the thought of you seeing all the parts of him that were still broken, terrified him.
He grabbed his phone, scrolling through his contacts until he reached your name. His thumb hovered over the call button for a moment, the fear of rejection tightening his chest. But the ache in his chest—the one that felt like it would tear him apart if he didn’t do something—drove him to press it.
"Need me already?" you teased when you answered, your voice low, almost playful, like nothing was wrong.
Normally, that would’ve made him smirk, would’ve made him feel alive. But tonight, all it did was break him a little more. “Can we talk?” His voice was quieter than he intended, a mixture of fear and longing.
There was a long pause. “Talk?”
“Yeah. Talk.” Bucky's grip tightened on the phone. “Please. I need to talk to you.”
You hesitated. “Okay. Now?”
“Yeah. Now.”
When you knocked on his door, Bucky opened it before you could even raise your hand a second time. He was shaking, nerves and fear clashing inside him. “Hey,” he said, his voice hoarse.
“Hey,” you answered softly, your gaze immediately scanning his face for any sign of what was wrong.
“Come in,” Bucky said, stepping aside.
The two of you sat on the couch, the space between you thick with all the things unsaid. Bucky fiddled with the sleeve of his jacket, his heart hammering in his chest as he tried to find the words that would make everything clear.
Finally, the silence broke, Bucky’s voice raw as he said, “I can’t do this anymore.”
Your eyes widened in surprise. “What?”
“This,” Bucky gestured between the two of you, his chest tightening. “I can’t keep pretending it’s enough. I can’t keep waking up alone. I can’t keep watching you walk out of here. I want more.” His voice cracked. “I want you.”
Your breath caught, but Bucky was already going on, the words tumbling out faster than he could control them. “I want to know you—your hopes, your fears. I want to be there for you. I want to wake up next to you and not feel like you’re just going to disappear the next morning. I want to be with you, really with you. I want to be… yours.”
There was a sharp intake of breath, and then the silence between you both felt unbearable. His words hung in the air, fragile and vulnerable. You blinked, eyes filling with tears, and before Bucky could say anything else, you leaned forward and kissed him.
It was soft, tentative, but there was a depth to it—something that neither of you had allowed before. When you pulled back, your foreheads resting together, Bucky searched your eyes, still unsure.
“Does that mean…” he whispered, the question hanging in the air.
You nodded, a tear slipping down your cheek. “I want more too. I want you.”
Bucky let out a long breath, relief flooding through him as he pulled you into his arms, holding you close, as if you might disappear if he didn’t. For the first time in a long time, he didn’t feel broken. He felt whole. Maybe mornings wouldn't be so bad after all.

Han Jisung // gifted comfort 🎁
Note // This is entirely my indulgent fic for the holidays, it marks the day I post my first skz fanfic, have a good read!
Pairing [Han Jisung x avoidant attachment type! Reader]
Genre [Christmas AU, hurt and comfort, fluff, angst, smut]
Summary [You ask your friend to accompany you to a dreadful family reunion and the catch is that you rejected his confession but he's not one to give up when he knows your refusal is not for the lack of interest. Things might work out better than he expected right on your childhood bed.]
Warnings [family disharmony, anxiety and implied rocky relationship with the reader's dad, smut (handjob, sub!han, sexual intercourse)]
Rating [+18, smut]
Han reaches for your hand to stop the shaking of it momentarily. His thumb rolls over your knuckles enthralling a sense of comfort and you try hard to relax. ”Take in a deep breath cheeks.” The nickname at the end makes you smile. You close your eyes and exhale slowly, in the darkness you can only feel his warm hands one holding your hand and the other wrapping around your waist. It’s a small familiar bubble he created just outside your parent’s front porch driving away all the bad memories that keep coming back the more you get close to your childhood home.
It has been a dread to come home but with Jisung glued to your side, you listen to the small voice in your head that he- he might be able to keep you sane until it’s past Christmas. The knots in your stomach subside a bit that had you in a twist for a couple of days now. ”I think I will be sick.” Unsure how to express the feelings that overwhelm you if you had to summarise it you would say it’s similar to rocks sitting on your chest.
”It’s just the nerves, honey, you will be fine I’ll be here with you.” You don’t doubt him, he’s been your unshakeable pillar for years what concerns you is not that your family will hurt you but that they will hurt him.
”We talked about this. Tell me what you’re thinking.” Sensing your uptight shoulders and rigid posture Han can tell that you’re overthinking again in your head. Just like he always does when you get like that he pulls you close and rests your foreheads together so that you can see only him in your eyes.
He gets you to look at him effortlessly by now, one finger moves under your chin with practised ease and tilts your face up. ”Tell me what you’re truly afraid of.”
You bite your lip in discontent, you hate when he knows exactly when you’re about to lie about something.
”I hate how well you know me.” It’s just a few words whispered to no one in particular but he hears you, like always. He chuckles at your antics. Feels it how you relax in his hold. His knowing smirk is all you need to know this is what his plan was all along. With renewed intent, he cups your cheek and smiles seeing your annoyed look.
”You might hate it now but I’ll make sure you’ll love it someday.” You wince remembering the conversation that you had a week before. You know it was not his intention to plant seeds of guilt but you cannot help this gnawing feeling you have ever since you rejected him. He’s a great guy, the best to be honest he’s the one who makes you the happiest and you love spending time with him it’s just that you have this fear about your relationship. You know that he deserves someone who could be more emotionally available.
”I’m sorry.” It’s an impulsed apology and Han wants none of it. You talked it through after you rejected him and he took note of your uncertainty and decided to give you space to think but that doesn’t mean he has given up on you.
”Don’t apologise sweets. Just because I love you it doesn’t mean you have to feel any guilt for it.”
So sweet. Always the gentleman when it comes to you, he has the patience like an endless ocean and uses it all on you.
”Still-” You stop talking when his thumb frees your lower lip, he hates it when you bite it because it often bruises and you complain that it hurts while you eat. ”It’s not because I don’t l-” unable to say „love” you correct it. ”Like you.”
”I know that so don’t worry.” You hum in a moment of agreement and let your nerves subside a bit. It helps that Han is waiting for you patiently, he knows so well when you need his touch and when you need space. Afraid that you got spotted after standing on the porch for a long time you look around for any eyes but thankfully there’s none and you’re still alone in this bubble he created for you.
”Don’t think I forgot about what we were talking about. Tell me what’s on your mind. We’re not going anywhere until you let me in here.” Han playfully pokes the side of your head and you swat it away like he expected with a roll of your eyes. He’s real good at changing up the atmosphere whenever you need it.
”Hah, okay. I guess I’m just afraid after you meet with my parents you will change your mind and leave me after you realise I’m not worth the effort.” It’s out in the open you can’t bear to look at his reaction so you look down ashamed.
”That’s not going to happen. You are worth all the effort I’m putting into our relationship. I know you’re trying on your own as well so there’s nothing to be worried about.” It’s reassuring to hear him say it in such a convincing tone. You happily melt into his arms as he hugs you close.
Finally feeling ready enough to face the family.
”Are you going to come in or you will talk here for ’nother hour?” You jump out of Jisung’s arms when you hear your father’s voice. Breaking this perfect moment with his horrible timing to announce his presence. He had his usual scowl on his face – not that he ever had anything nice to say. Your hand visibly shakes as you press it to your side greeting your father. Jisung gets ahold of your hand and smiles gently at your father. He greets him with respect and you witness their awkward handshake but rather civil considering your dad’s temper. Once your mother shows up the tension in your shoulder eases up a bit.
She is more welcoming when she introduces herself to Han. You hold onto his hand like a lifeline as you get inside.
The interior hasn’t changed much since you were a kid maybe a few things were repaired and changed up here and there. The house itself is not too big so it doesn’t need a tour per se but you still offer Han to show him around.
Your mother approves of it as she still has a few things to do before dinner is ready and your father retires to the main bedroom to continue his show leaving you to your devices. Good to know that some things just never change around here.
”Glad that you’re here y/n. Get some rest and I’ll call you two when the food is ready.” Your mother shows the both of you a reserved smile but there’s affection for you in her gaze Han can see it.
It’s no surprise that you cannot show how you feel as there’s much in the household that cannot be expressed.
He can see why you were worried but in his eyes, your image will not change due to this. Your parents are not you and in the end, he should be grateful that he could meet you thanks to them bringing you to the world.
Han looks around the house with interest as you guide him a step ahead, his eye occasionally catching on a family picture on the cabinet but the most attention he pays to is how your room is decorated.
Your Scooby Doo’s bedding is adorable and he takes note of the posters you have of celebrities on your wall, males of course. He takes note of your tastes even if it’s limited to your teenage years this was the room that you spent the most time in. It makes him feel good that you let him into such an intimate space of yours. Whilst he’s grateful he can’t help his teasing though as you have the best reactions. You look so beautiful shy and red all over as you try to hide some plush bears.
”It’s been a while since I was here, okay? Don’t laugh at me, I bet your room is no better than this.” You visibly sulk at his enjoyment.
”I’ll show you my room next time.” You blush at what he’s hinting at and you cannot say that you don’t welcome this warm feeling. When Han sees that you’re not opposed to the idea he approaches you.
”My mom will absolutely adore you. I can’t wait for you to meet her.” You mirror his relaxed smile and let him pull you into a hug. You hum not in agreement or disagreement to keep the serenity of it. You don’t dare to look too hopeful even if his words of your futures together sound tempting when he envisions it. You like to hear him tell you about future events and plans it’s nice that he sees every image with you in the picture. It’s nice it feels like between his arms you belong.
Ever since he confessed his love to you there’s this tension a certain mood shift you feel between the two of you. It started to get to you but now it feels like it will consume you if you don’t say anything.
”What will you do if I say I wanted to kiss you?” Nervously curious there are newly formed knots in your stomach but this time it’s not anxiety that has you biting your lips as you anticipate the answer to your very bold question.
Jisung looks taken aback by your sudden boldness. It’s not that he couldn’t sense this tension in the air he decided not to act on it after your rejection. It hurt him but did not deter him from trying again especially since he knows you feel the same. He’s hopeful that you mean it but even if you don’t he’s not going to say no to you.
”I would say you can kiss me anytime.” Still unsure how to thread into his uncharted territory he gives you all the control. If you wanted to kiss him you can if you wanted to take it back and forget about it he would do it but it would be a lie since he wouldn’t be able to forget anything about you. He just likes you so much that you wrapped him around your pinky finger effortlessly. It does hurt his ego. You had his heart for a very long time now and it’s time you realise your power over him. You can feel it, his resolve weakening as your breaths mingle when you draw closer. His eyes visibly drop down to your lips frowns when he sees you bite your lip again.
”Where’s your self-preservation, huh? What if I asked to have sex?” You withdraw and he doesn’t like it he’s been anticipating that hypothetical kiss that you sweetly promised with your daring eyes. He was so close to it. You don’t look frightened like usual when anything remotely romantic comes up and that gives him the courage to be honest with you as well. He draws you back into his space.
”I would say we can have sex if you wanted.” A part of you expected him to change the subject or crack a joke but he remains serious as he looks at you under his hooded eyes. You’re speechless.
”Jisung. We’re at my parents.” You lower your voice to indicate that you can get closer to getting caught with each passing minute. Dinner could be ready anytime soon. Jisung just laughs at your scandalised face the tension eases a bit but he’s not letting it completely get lost as he grips your waist lovingly his hold tightens as he bends to laugh directly into your neck taking up your space. You realise he’s checking your reactions to his touch and closeness. See if you will laugh with him and push him away. Jisung is in desperate need of your attention and you talking about having sex with him is not lost on him it put him in a predicament. Afraid that you might never ask him again he catches himself becoming impatient. He imagined it. He wants it but only if you do too.
”You’re right. I’m sorry for acting this way.” He catches himself a moment later as he withdraws from your neck. You rejected him not that long ago so he swore to move at snail's speed with you building up his next confession but here he is – getting greedy. You’re torn if you should stop him from getting farther away or if you require space to think clearly. Both of you are getting lost in your thoughts. You can tell he tries to compose himself thinking that you won’t read the need from his eyes that look back at you. You want to say something, anything but-
”The food is ready.” A single hard knock interrupts you before you can say anything. Yes or no, you’re unsure. Yelling back a ’be right there’ so your mother could hear you. You deserve a pat on your back for your voice coming out clearly. You know you should say something first before Jisung misunderstands you.
”Let’s talk about this again later, shall we?” An encouraging smile and a melting heart eye is all you can do to convey your sincere heart. While having doubts about where it could all lead – these feelings are growing too much for you to ignore. You can’t help but chase after this love that he’s capable of giving.
”-Alright.”
You can tell he has something to say. Maybe to reassure you he’s not here to make your choices. If you said the word you know he could wait more if not forever for you to come around. Ever since you knew him he’s always been relentless. If there was anything he wanted he kept chasing it. He never failed to claim anything he wanted so far – and it seems like you won’t be the first exception.
He did capture you in the end.
Jisung follows you to the dining room and while you expect it to be awkward with you sitting in front of your dad with your sister present and more people around you, you are able to relax more into your seat.
There’s silence breaking chit-chat here and there your mother mostly asking questions about your days and your sister’s laced with some Christmas music playing in the background. You’re surprised that Jisung talks with your dad a few words – thankfully at his best behaviour considering there are outsiders at the dinner table – you catch up with your sister’s husband a bit before you make sure he’s included in your conversation.
Feeling touched that he accompanied you even though he doesn’t know anyone here you find his hand under the table and thread your fingers together. He stops mid-conversation his hand grabbing onto you firmly to show you he’s here with you. There’s an unusual smile on everyone’s faces throughout the dinner.
This is the most peaceful it has been in ages.
”He’s a catch.” You jolt when you hear your sister whisper the words into your ear with dirty plates in your hand. You assured Jisung that he could shower first as you would take care of the dishes first. This might be the first time you separated from him but you calmed down enough that you don’t feel dread by it. It’s the perfect time for your sister to start her little inquiry. She caught you in a corner and you smile warmly at her as she asks you about him. Everyone else retreated to their rooms.
”Yeah, he’s good to me.” Your smile is incriminating that your sister knows by now that you’re head over heels for him.
”I can see that. He likes you so much. He couldn’t look away from you the entire time.” Her teasing is hammering home especially after you remember that you still have a conversation to touch upon later tonight.
”Enough about me. What about you? Everything alright?” She nods with a smile.
”Very peaceful now that we have our house.” You can imagine that.
It’s been a while since you last talked so you try to catch up in a few before you both head to bed. Once you enter your room Jisung is already lying on your bed freshly showered with a book in his hands. The day is catching up to you it seems as you nip a yawn at the bud. The day’s anxiety leaves your body at once now that the tiring socialising is over, you book it as a success without incidents.
”Everything’s alright?” You hum an affirmative into his t-shirt your legs and hands trapping him in a hug.
”Tired? You’re awfully cuddly.” Jisung giggles at how cute you are right now his hand absentmindedly goes to play with your hair and you further relax into his chest. You know you should get up and shower but this position is too comfy for you to move just yet. He smells like your soap. It awakens a weird sense of possessiveness in you.
”Not tired. I think we have a thing or two to discuss.” You push yourself above him positioned so that your palms are keeping you up next to his head planted onto the sheets. He visibly gulps at your sudden change in mood.
You oddly feel unrestrained.
”I guess we do.” It’s maddening when he shows you a boyish grin. His hand rests on your hip basking in your proximity. You lower your face until it’s inches away – he’s anticipating your kiss with eagerness, eyes already hooded and lips parted slightly in a sensual way. You know he’s waiting for it.
”You said I can kiss you anytime I want.” He confirms it with an annoyed huff. You pulled away just before your lips could touch.
”I did.” You’re teasing him and he doesn’t like it as he’s been anticipating it so much, you’re so close yet so far away that it’s agonising. Yet he can’t do anything about it. He closes his eyes in frustration before opening it again to look at you with such want that surely stirs something in the pit of your stomach.
You can do anything and he would wait until you decide he can have it.
”Said we can have sex if I wanted?” You’re repeating his words but his ears uncharacteristically turn red in the meantime.
”I d-did say that.”
It’s so unfamiliar, this shift that’s happening right this moment. You’re the one who’s insecure most of the time, sometimes gloomy and hard to handle but he always treats you right with confidence.
Hearing his stutter is a sign that you can sometimes steal his confidence.
”Please give me a kiss.” Jisung carefully cups your face pressing you close to his body, his beginning is music to your ears. You lean closer just to tease him a bit more which earns a pout from him.
You kiss his jaw and when he lets out a surprised sigh you kiss his pout away, pressing your lips to his awaiting ones.
”Hmn.” The sounds he lets out are stirring. You want to tell him to keep quiet since you’re still in your parent’s house but he recaptures your lips before you can say anything. ”A bit more, please.”
He keeps pressing, begging and kissing as if you will let him go any moment. As if he will never get to taste your mouth keeps pushing his lips against yours, moulding it hotly, lips fitting perfectly as he slowly holds you close to him. There’s a longing desperation in his actions.
Hums, moans and begs.
He drives you wild with his words and sounds.
Even though you love to hear him you’re prone to get caught if this continues so you have to tear yourself away from his mouth to recapture his attention. His glassy eyes manage to focus on you.
”Be quiet.” Jisung looks away shyly ashamed of how turned on he is just because of a few kisses. You looking down at him sternly doesn’t help. You didn’t even use your tongue yet and he’s so into it. Even if he’s ashamed of his reactions he can’t help but nod in hope that you will continue if he obeys. ”Think you can be quiet Sungie?”
He knows by now that you’re teasing him. The nickname. It’s so rare for you to use and to hear it in such a context. ”I can.” He’s completely lost to you. He wants you so bad it’s physically paining him. He doesn’t care if it’s in your childhood bed in your parent’s house or if you want to forget about it in the morning. He needs it now. Want to feel your hands and mouth all over his body.
”I’m sorry but can you help me? Honey?” He’s aching it doesn’t feel as good when he touches his cock through his pants like it used to. Even with you watching his rubbing motions it’s not nearly enough.
He knows he’s being shameless and impatient.
”It’s okay to want things from me. You don’t need to say sorry. I know our case is special as I have many issues to deal with- but you never have to apologise for seeking my affection or touch.” It’s a rare show of vulnerability in your voice and Han soaks it in, relieved that you don’t think he’s being pushy and impatient. He always wants you to have everything so it’s hard for him to ask you to fulfill his desires.
”It’s okay even if what I want is you?” It’s out before he could think. His second confession. He got rejected not too long ago yet he dared to say it again. You chuckle at the visible panic on his face, you can tell he’s waiting for you to pull away to say no.
You’re tired of fighting it.
”It’s okay for you to love me. I want it. Your love.” His heart leaps to his throat when he hears you finally accept his confession. You seal it with your lips against him this time neither of you shies away as you deepen it with your intertwined tongues.
”Thank you, thank you, thank you-” It comes out in gasps as your hand travels under his pants in the heat of the moment, your lips never falter as he presses the words into your mouth, and your fingers grip his length until you’re unsure if he’s thankful for you accepting his confession or if it is a reply to his desire to touch his cock. Either way, you’re here to please, it might not mean much but you always wanted to thank him for caring for you and this presents a great opportunity to do so.
It’s a bit tricky but you make the best of it due to the limited space, moving with the impatient rock of his hip you have a firm grip on him that looks to be just the extra push he needs. ”Feel ’so good- hmn, don’t stop.” Wordlessly you continue to go up and down his cock getting the extra wetness all over him.
He tugs his sweatpants down his hips so that his cock can be uncovered with more room for you to move and pick up the speed of your pumps. His unbecoming is near and what a mess he is almost as messy and sloppy as his cock is wet and squelching in your hands. His heavy breathing indicates it’s getting harder for him to control his moans it takes a high pitch when you get the right angle.
His cock is bigger than you expected, the producing veins and the grith everything is pretty about him. Curious if he would taste good you lean down to take the tip into your mouth when he pulls your head back a loud whining voice is filled with panic at your actions. ”D-don’t, if you do I don’t know if I could l-last.”
”Alright, if you don’t want to cum, then where you would like it?” You share a short sweet kiss before you straddle his lap.
”Do you want to cum inside? It might be the less messy option.” Whilst you nonchalantly ponder over the options Han is falling apart beneath you. It’s the closest you’ve ever been to each other.
He can feel your wetness rubbing up on him bare.
”What d- do you want?” Always the gentleman. Sharing a few kisses you align him with your opening.
”Of course I want you to cum inside. I have protection so you don’t need to worry about kids.” Han nods at your suggestion very eager to feel you around him if the twitching of his cock is any indication.
”What about you? Do you want it?” His hands grip your hips in anticipation. It tightens around you when you slowly sink to the bottom the stretch is tortuous as your walls clamp around him trying to accommodate. The tight pulsing is never ending it has Jisung’s already sensitive cock swell in you ready to burst.
”I’ve been dreaming about it for so long. Fuck, you’re so beautiful like this. I think I will cum soon.”
You can see that as he closes his eyes when you move his expression pained as he tries his best to keep hard for you. He wants you to get off first before he explodes but it’s hard as your hole sucks him in not letting up your tight grip on his throbbing length. The friction is delicious as you rock your hips, every vein presses against a nerve inside of you the grove of his length providing the perfect arch to reach your spot.
You’re convinced that his cock was made for you. It’s not hard for you to reach high places with the precise thrusts he delivers into you from below. Jisung aligns it with your bounces in sync gripping you by the hips, dragging you across his cock to take you on a ride. The pressure is building in your stomach until it explodes and you cum around his cock it doesn’t take more than a few more minutes for him to follow you.
His cum shoots deep inside you, flooding you with his warm cum that starts to drip out the moment his softening cock slips out of you.
You get up to get yourself clean before it can stain the bedsheets even if his begging eyes for cuddles are tempting you don’t want to start the next morning explaining to the household why you need to wash your sheets.
”I’ll quickly shower and be right back.” You place a kiss on his pouty lips, there’s a glow around him all sweaty and smooth around the edges as his expression is relaxed post-orgasm. You certainly adore this look on him.
”You can join me since I dirtied you up.” A sheepish smile is what you give him. He did take a shower merely two hours ago. You press your lips to his jaw and collarbones earning sweet little sighs from him. He makes you grow soft it’s out of your control as you can’t stop the constant touches you do.
Pushing his sweaty hair back you caress the hairs at his nape pulling him in for a longer kiss this time.
”I guess I should.” He looks too smug for someone who whined for you to put it in but you let it slide as you intertwine your fingers.
Han kisses your shoulders up to your throat it’s sweet without the urgency he had before it feels more like he’s trying to worship you. It makes your heart flutter and you can’t help but pull him up to kiss you this sweetly on the mouth as well.
”This might be my favourite Christmas so far.” You admit. Looking at his adorning eyes you can see your reflection in them. ”It’s all thanks to you.”

“look what you made me do”
stalker jungwon part 2
adult content featured
yes there will be a part 3
you awoke with a startle after a nightmare. you sat up quickly on the bed that you were tucked into, the windows covered by thick curtains.
you looked around quietly, swallowing air, as you tried to remember what happened.
blood. chipper. maya.
shoot! when you removed the comforter from your legs and went to move off the bed and stand, you fell to the hardwood floor below.
“ouch!” you screamed in agony, tears coming to your eyes as you hugged your leg in pain.
you forgot all about the bear trap around your leg.
with a thud, jungwon came running up the stairs and threw the door open to the bedroom, a look of panic on his face.
he had originally been watching you through the nanny cam, but went outside to handle some business. he came back in and heard you cry out.
“hey, you’re okay!” he rushed to your side, helping you up gently, lying you back on the bed.
you sniffled, and your eyes went wide noticing the blood on his neck. “stay away from me, you, you freak!” you yelled, trying your best to scoot away.
jungwon wasn’t fazed nor was he mad. you were traumatized and he was slightly to be blamed for it. his smile faded to a thin line, eyes of worry focused on you.
all you could think of was poor maya in the wood chipper, asa and danielle hanging in the barn. if that was even still the case.
“what did you do to them?” you silently sniffled, trying to hold sobs.
jungwon bit is lower lip, “do you mean asa and danielle?”
you nodded slowly. jungwon hesitated to tell you. but he kept it simple with the truth. “they’re alive.”
you sucked in a breath. could you believe him? “how do i know you’re not lying?”
“i can show you.” he replied. you thought about it. could you stomach the way they looked? you barely could stay awake when the trap got you.
“why are you doing this?” you whispered so softly, he barely heard you.
jungwon went to tuck a piece of hair behind your ear, it caught you off guard, you flinched. he slowly put his hand down with a frown.
“why the blanket? how did you get those pictures of me?” you continued. the blanket he covered you with before he snatched you.
pictures of you at work. in public. in your apartment. naked.
“you can guess how i got those pictures, squid.”
squid. why did that name—nickname—sound so familiar? jungwon noticed your body react to the nickname he gave you when you were close. before your accident and losing your memory.
“have you been stalking me? us.” jungwon nodded, unashamed. “why, jungwon? i—i understand how we treated you in high school was so bad—and i’m genuinely sorry for it—,”
“let’s not talk about that, right now.” jungwon cut you off immediately, his tone and mood changing.
“what did we do so bad that made you want to stalk and kill us?”
jungwon hurriedly stood up and started pacing. it really wasn’t you. or even asa. little less danielle. maya and kelly were originally his main targets.
“you three never knew the torture i went through with maya and kelly.” jungwon says, running a hand through his hair. “it wasn’t just the teasing from all of you. kelly and maya deserved what they got. to be honest, they got off easy in my opinion.”
“jungwon, what did they do to you?”
“not now squid.”
“why do you call me squid?”
“it doesn’t sound familiar? like at all?” jungwon stopped pacing to look at you with hope in his eyes.
you shrugged. “it triggered something through me, but no, not really.”
“are you hungry? i can make you food.” jungwon changed the subject. before you could decline that you weren’t hungry, your stomach betrayed you and rumbled.
“oh, um, sure.” you nodded, unsure how you’d even be able to get up at this point. you could barely stand up on your own, let alone run away from this psycho.
“i’ll bring you breakfast in bed. you need to rest that leg. when i got you, the trap was pretty deep and the wounds don’t look good under the bandages.”
jungwon walked towards the bedroom door, and you noticed a dog sitting there waiting for him. you smiled unknowing at the dog, just happy to see something alive other than jungwon.
your thoughts were clouded from the night beforehand. he really killed maya. was he going to kill danielle and asa next? what about you? you had to stay alive. you were going to fight to stay alive so you could get help.
what did maya and kelly do so bad to fuck jungwon up like this?
footsteps padded against the hardwood, jungwon coming in with a plate of breakfast. your favorite breakfast.
he placed it in front of you slowly, you picked up the fork and slowly took a bite, moaning in relief at how good it tasted.
jungwon swallowed, his adams apple bobbing up and down at hearing you moan.
no. he wasn’t going to that to you. with you. not now. the pictures and videos he had were enough to help him rub one out when needed.
“uh, jungwon, this is really good. thank you.” you politely replied with a nod.
jungwon took a seat at the edge of the bed and stared at you while you ate. “do you really not get any type of memory from the nickname squid?”
you shook your head at him. “enlighten me.”
“i don’t want to freak you out.”
you snorted. “you stalked and kidnapped me and and my friends. killed one of my friends in front of me, jungwon.”
jungwon laughed softly. “guess you have a point.”
“just tell me why do you call me squid?”
“because when we were younger you got inked on by one, and ever since then you never liked them.”
“younger?”
jungwon sighed, “that’s enough trip down memory lane for now. finish eating.”
“will you take me to go see asa and danielle?”
“only if you promise not to throw up.”
about an hour later you had finished eating, and was prepared to go out. jungwon helped you walk down the steps, outside. you went slowly, but jungwon seem to not mind.
when you got to the barn, your heart sank in pure anxiety of what you may see in front of you.
jungwon, face plain of any emotion, opened the barn door and helped you hobble in there.
thankfully asa and danielle were no longer dangling from the ceiling chains, but rather seated in hay and chained to poles beside them.
both were left in the undergarments, and you knew they had to be cold. they hadn’t moved when you two came in.
“i gave them something to help them sleep. rest.” jungwon stated. “they’ll need their energy.”
“why?” you whispered out.
“it’s hunting season.”
you turned to look at jungwon with pure disgust. “please, jungwon, just let them go.”
jungwon’s lips went in a thin line as he stared at you. “why should i?”
“maya and kelly were your main targets, okay? the rest of us learned our lesson. just please let them be.”
“i’ll have to ask my coworkers.”
“coworkers?”
jungwon nodded. “ni-ki and kai. need to make sure they’re okay with it too.”
“it was all three of you?”
“mainly me, but they helped.” jungwon stated.
you looked at him in disbelief. “i’ll do anything if you just let them go. please.” you begged.
“i’ll think about it.” jungwon said before turning around walking back to the house. he left you to hobble behind him slowly, your leg still in pain from the trap.
you got to the porch steps, jungwon held the door open for you. “actually fuck this!” you snapped. “tell me right fucking now why you are doing this!”
jungwon laughed. “or what?”
you looked around the yard, and saw a big rock. you leaned down carefully to pick it up.
“what? you’re gonna throw it at me? try to kill me with it?” he taunted.
“no. i’ll bash my own head in!” you yelled, ready to drop the rock on your head as you held it above.
jungwon ran as fast as he could down the steps and tackled you to the ground, making the rock fall out of your hands.
little did he know, there was another big rock behind you. so when you fell, your head landed on the rock, instantly knocking you unconscious.
“no, no, no! wake up!” jungwon pleaded, trying to shake you awake. blood covered his hands from the back of your head. “no, you can’t do this. i can’t lose you again.”
he cried holding you close. jungwon quickly picked you up and ran to his truck, putting you in to drive you to the emergency room.
while the doctors worked on you, he had texted ni-ki and kai who were actually visiting in town, and asked them to clean up the barn mess. no other text was sent or explanation needed.
he couldn’t say too much and incriminate himself or them. they texted back with a simple ‘ok’ and ‘no problem.’
“mr yang?” jungwon stood up when the nurse called his name.
she smiled. “your wife is doing great. a little drowsy and confused, but she’s awake and alert, and the doctor is with her. follow me.”
you two weren’t married. but they didn’t need to know that. they didn’t ask for a marriage license or proof. jungwon just knew he had to be the one only to know about your condition.
he walked into the hospital room you were in, the doctor finishing flashing the light in your eye. your eyes went wide seeing jungwon, but you stayed silent, fear in your eyes and body.
“hello mr. yang.” the doctor greeted. “mrs yang, your husband has been so worried about you!”
the doctor and other medical staff left the room, leaving you and jungwon.
“wi—wife?” you stumbled out.
“you say anything else, and i will make sure you never see outside again.” jungwon threatened.
you hung your head in silence, twiddling your thumbs, afraid to say anything further.
jungwon spoke, “they said you hit your head pretty hard but you should be okay. you’ll be here for a while as they keep an eye on you. and i’ll be right by your side.”
you kept silent. you got comfortable in the hospital bed, pulling the blanket up to your chin, your back facing jungwon.
this seemed to be a nightmare that would never end.

The Broken Heart That Makes Us
Happy Friday! Comment to be added to the taglist ☺️
Story Description:
Your arranged marriage is on its last legs. After making an agreement with your step son, Megumi, you are puzzled when you are faced with finally making a decision.
Your whole life so far has been planned for you, leading you to struggle with the idea of moving on and finding something stable…someone stable.
Will you finally be able to let go of the life that was made for you? Will there be others out there willing to pick up the pieces?
(18+) Pairings: Toji, Goji, Geto, Nanami, & Choso.
Read on ao3: TBHTMU
Chapter 3:
You turned around and posed in the mirror to get a better look at how the latex stretch black pants hugged your backside and your matching black strapless lace up corset gave you a nice shape. Even though you were only 26, you noticed the difference in how you dressed compared to the other parents that came to pick up their kids from the dojo.
“Finding the sweet spot between acting like a mom and acting my age is….a task.” You groaned at your reflection, debating whether to find a nice jacket to use as a cover up.
‘Mmm… I am meeting my son’s teacher after all…’ You started to regret your choice of clothing. To be fair, you weren’t sure what Gojo’s intentions were when he invited you out. But dammit when was the last time you actually went out to have fun?! You felt the fruits of your youth slowly spoil as your whole life became just working, stressing and taking care of a 16 year old.
You decided that you deserved to be daring today and donned a pair of lace up black sandal heels and a contrasting blood red mini purse to throw over your shoulder.
Before stepping out of your new 3 bedroom condo, you passed by Megumi’s room and took a small peek through his bedroom doorway. You watched as he diligently did his homework while bopping to the music in his headset. You thought to yourself that this is the type of comfort he deserves. Lost in his own world while he chases his dreams. You just hope you’re doing enough to get him there.
You tapped your phone on to remind yourself of the time as you stepped out of your front door. You rode the elevator down to the lobby and exited the condominium. It was dark and a shadowy figure lingered outside. You wondered if Gojo had arrived and you picked up your pace to exit the lobby.
“Oh great. You saved me so much time knocking on every door.” Your breath hitched and you clutched your purse as the man emerged from the shadows and into the dim lamp post. You eyed the double doors back into the lobby and debated whether you should make a run for it. Instead, you swallowed thickly and erased any emotion on your face.
“Are you y/n Fushiguro?” The man asked. His hair shielded by a black beanie that looks like it transitions to a shiesty and all black clothes. It only took one glance for you to notice that he might be carrying a weapon in his back pocket as you noticed he kept patting for it.
“I don’t go by that name anymore. That means that nothing associated with that name has any business with me.” You explained begging internally the man will just bow out and let you go. A million thoughts bulldozed through your mind, starting with how he found out where you lived in the first place.
“Tsss…look. I know this must be realllly awkward but your ex husband owes us some money and sold your name as collateral. That slippery bastard looks like he’s on the run but you were much easier to find.” You started to see stars. You held onto the wall to prevent yourself from fainting. It became clear to you that whether you were associated with Toji or not didn’t matter because he just sold you out to some loan sharks.
‘In the end, I still can’t escape his bullshit.’
“How much does he owe you?” You bit out clutching your fist. After everything started falling into place, something comes to fuck it all up.
“Probably around 10 of those condos your pretty little ass just skipped out of.” He laughed lazily. Fury built up in your belly.
“Can you cover it?” He eyes you mockingly and his gaze trailed disgustingly lower.
“Fuck no!” You hissed and attempted to cover yourself. You looked around for anything that could fight him off and any neighbors that could be stumbling by. But before you could call out to someone he approached you and palmed his back packet.
The man yelped as a sleek blue biker helmet collided with the back of his head. He collapsed on the ground, limp and lifeless. You looked up at his attacker.
Exhaling as if he was holding in his breath, Gojo eyed the loan shark’s motionless body. Worry, anxiety and fear exited your body all at once as you felt your legs lose strength.
Gojo was quick and caught you against his firm hand while you stumbled into his chest. You allowed his gentle hand to calm your nerves as he stroked your head similarly to how he stroked your back yesterday. You attempted to bury yourself in Gojo’s white shirt and black bomber jacket and trying not to get your makeup on it. But he pushed your head in anyway, not caring whether your makeup will leave a stain.
“Do you want to live with me?” You heard Gojo whisper almost thoughtlessly. Your head fell backwards and your confused expression met his embarrassed one. Almost like he didn’t mean to say that out loud.
He gently pushed you back and shoved his helmet into your chest. You took the helmet but you couldn’t tear your gaze away from his face.
He was red. Beating red. And looked to the side trying to avoid eye contact with you. His eyebrows furrowed almost like he was scolding himself for saying that outloud. You looked down at the helmet in your hands and chuckled inwardly at his cute reaction.
“Put that on.” He took the helmet back and fastened it on your head.
“A smile a day keeps the therapist away.” He laughed to himself while buckling the safety strap under your chin. He took your hand and mounted his sleek blue Ducati motorcycle and guided you to board behind him. He fastened the extra helmet that hung on the handlebars of his bike on his head and turned the bike on. He paused before doing anything more.
“I won’t ask about the problems you’re going through. But seeing him corner you like that made me want to do more than just knock his lights out.” He twisted his wrist and revved up his motorcycle with a loud growl.
“I can’t promise that I’ll stop there next time.” He continued. With Gojo, you felt a cloud of safety and protection. You wrapped your arms around his torso and squeezed.
“…I’ve never had anyone other than Megumi protect me like that…Thank you.” You weren’t sure if you were loud enough over the rumbling of his bike but he seemed to have heard you and took a deep breath. You felt his back expand and then recede against you as he hauled up his foot on his back. You two disappeared into the darkness.
✿❀○❀✿
“Shitttt I hope it’s not closed.” Gojo droned as you arrived at a dimly lit skyscraper. He put the stopper on his bike and took your hand to help you dismount. He hung the helmets on the handlebars of the bike.
While entering the luxurious skyscraper, you advanced towards the entrance while taking in the posh surroundings. The host at the door recognized Gojo immediately and sprinted to take his jacket from him.
“Welcome back, sir!” The host greeted Gojo formally and you turned towards him marred by confusion.
“Who the hell even are you?!” You spoke with your eyes. He erupted in an amused bellow and he took your waist and pulled you flushed against his side.
“I didn’t come alone tonight. Show us a good spot.” Gojo ordered casually. You tried to fix your face to copy his nonchalant one but quickly failed when you entered the restaurant- no…specialty cafe as it seems that the restaurant only served expensive desserts.
“Are you sure you should be eating here? You know, since you also have to practice martial arts.” You joked low enough for only Gojo to hear. He clicked his tongue.
“A sweet treat every now and then doesn’t hurt.” Gojo paused and looked down at you. Lustful sky blue eyes bore into yours. “Everyone gives into their urges eventually.” He stated with a deeper meaning attached.
You felt your cheeks warm but then the host spoke you out of your trance.
“We always leave the balcony open to the Gojo clan.” The host beamed. You felt Gojo himself tense but when you looked up at him, his face remained expressionless.
“Enjoy.” The host bowed and broke away to signal a waiter.
You broke away from Gojo to bathe in the sea of lights in the city as you relaxed against the railing to the balcony. You thought back to the dinner parties your dad had you attend while wooing investors. You internally shivered.
“If I knew you were a trust fund baby, I would’ve seduced you months ago, Gojo-sensei.” You jested while resting on your elbows. Large pale palms rested on either side of you as Gojo hovered from behind you. You stretched your head back and he peered down at you.
“Call me Satoru.” He said softly. You shook your head and broke eye contact, directing your gaze forward again.
“Unlike you, I know boundaries.” You sighed. Without wasting a beat, he gripped your bicep and spun you around to face him. He pinched your chin and forced your gaze to connect with his again.
“It didn’t seem like that when you were holding me nice and tight earlier.” He hovered his face just centimeters above your lips. You gripped his shirt as his body heat flooded your palms.
“Close your eyes.” He whispered. Your eyes fluttered closed.
“Have you had time to look at our menu?” You and Gojo broke apart in response to the waitress arriving. It didn’t seem like she was aware that she was breaking a moment but the racing of your heart thanked her.
You approached the table and Gojo pulled out your chair for you to sit. As you looked at the menu, each dessert looked like it would make your wallet cry.
“P-Please give me a minute.” You laughed nervously as you scrunch your eyebrows to focus. The only thing you can afford here is the water and maybe an espresso shot.
“There are just soooo many nice things here. I literally can’t decide. ” You spoke through your teeth, clearly feeling pressure over the menu.
Gojo snapped his menu closed.
“We’ll just go with one of everything.” Gojo answered while you were mentally lashing out at him.
You closed the menu and gave the waitress a strained but polite smile while she took the menus.
“I say I’m taking you out and you are still eyeballing the price.” Gojo scoffs while taking a sip of the water left on the table.
“I never trust a man who says he’ll foot the bill. I’d rather at least order something I can afford.” Toji absolutely killed that idea for you and you haven’t trusted a man for funds since. You crossed your arms and sat back comfortably on your chair. The wispy light from the candle reflected on Gojo’s cheek and made his glassy eyes contrast the dark sky behind him.
“Fair enough.” He tilted his head voicing his response and took another sip of water. You traced your finger on the mouth of the tall glass of water standing next to you. You couldn’t help but focus on his lips as they touched his glass. The way his tongue wets his lips sends your mind into a spiral. He notices you gawking and a small chuckle escapes his lips. You rolled your eyes to the side innocently and struck up conversation.
“So other than training students at the dojo, what else do you do?” You huffed, swiftly pulling your own water glass to your lips. The relaxed grin on his face fell. You felt the atmosphere shift a little.
“You said it yourself didn’t you? I’m a ‘trust fund baby.’ Beloved son of one of the number 1 richest clans in the city.” He responded with heavy sarcasm. You drew your lips together tightly. You gathered that family was a triggering subject. Well, it’s not like you are daughter to father of the year either. But even though Gojo seems to wear his heart on his sleeve, it seems that it’s just armor to hide his true feelings.
“Eh. I don‘t know. Blood relatives suck sometimes.” You snapped back. Your elbows rested on the table and your chin fell comfortably onto your palms. For a second you saw Gojo’s eyes go wide, lost looking at you but he then quickly regained his composure.
“I’d rather form my own family. Like me and Meg. There’s something about loving someone and them loving you back just because of the person you are and not because you’re related.” You continued. Gojo lowered his glass and listened to you intently. You smiled down at the fire that danced on the candle and allowed one of your hands to rest on the table.
“I’ve seen family members treat their own children like pawns and burdens to be neglected…” Gojo flinched at your statement and his hand rested on the table as well. You rested your palm on top of his and gazed at him softly.
“But blood doesn’t make it an obligation to love people like that.” Gojo intertwined his fingers in yours and scanned you curiously. He gently rubbed his thumb against the back of your hand.
“Hmmm? You sound like you had a tough love life.” He mocked and you choked out your water. You rolled your eyes as the tone of the date returned to being playful.
“Don’t mind me. I’m just thinking out loud.” You retook your hand and folded it into your lap. Gojo pouted at the lack of touch.
“Here you are! We pulled up another table to make room for all of the other desserts. Is there any flavor you would like to try first?” The waitress accompanied by 2 assistants rolled in the entire catalog of sweets. Gojo shook his head.
“We’ll figure it out.” He stood up and started making room for various desserts on the table. One particular dessert caught your eye.
“Hey. Pass me the (insert flavor) parfait.” You pointed at the neatly decorated yogurt. Gojo picked it up and inspected it curiously. He stalked to the other side of the table and knelt down to your level. Taking the long spoon out the dish, he lathered some whip cream on top of it.
“Open wide~.” He cooed while floating the spoon towards your lips. Your brows twisted and you leaned your head back in rejection.
“You’re fucking joking.” You answered dryly. Gojo shrugged and turned the spoon towards himself and prepared to take a bite.
“Hey-!” Your mouth hung open in protest and Gojo used the opportunity to sneak the spoon into your mouth. The parfait was heavenly and the flavors melted the tension in your body. You finished enjoying the taste and you took another glance at a satisfied Gojo, unsure whether to protest some more or to let him continue.
You felt a hand rake the back of your head as Gojo’s lips advanced towards yours. However, he teased you and instead tongued the corner of your lip where whipped cream was left. You froze in your chair.
“Damn good. Should I eat the rest of the desserts like this?” Gojo taunted and then traced his tongue on your bottom lip.
A pleased sigh fell from your lips as your tongue met his, battling for dominance. Your lips touched and it felt like electricity ignited throughout your body. You closed your eyes to soak up his taste and you heard him place the parfait glass and spoon on the table.
With free hands, Gojo gripped both your thighs and glided them up and down your legs, barely ghosting your core with his thumbs. He pressed his lips against you punishingly and parted your legs to situate himself in between them.
You gripped his shirt to prevent yourself from falling backwards. One hand dragged up your body and he teased your hardened nipple under your black corset. Gojo released your lips and then proceeded to leave trails of kisses down your neck.
He moved his hand from your chest to your clothed cunt and pressured his grip against it. You bit your bottom lip.
“Gojo…the waiters could come in.” You panted trying to keep your fevered voice as low as possible. He smirked against your collarbone as his teeth grazed your shoulder.
“I’m not doing anything wrong. Just enjoying dessert.” He quipped while peppering more kisses up your neck and started massaging you gently. You felt yourself becoming soaked in his clutch. Your thighs closed around his wrist. You cupped his chin and turned him up to face you.
“You’re really not funny.” You whispered while he looked up at you with fire pooling his irises. He released you and shoved his hands in his pockets to shuffle his way back into his seat. You shifted your knees back under the table while trying to regain your composure.
Gojo took a small dish of elegantly dressed mochi and took a bite while holding contact with you. He allowed two fingers to linger in his mouth while he licked off the flavor. He slowly sucked the flavor off of the long digits and then reached for another piece.
You tried to avoid eye contact while you took another spoonful of parfait. The rest of the evening was quiet but the haze of desire still remained.

NUMBER ONE GIRL
38. feeling feelings (written)
prev // m.list // next
As cliché as it sounds, before meeting you, Yeonjun never actually thought about the consequences of his actions. After the incident with Minho, he only cares about having a good time and surrounding himself with pleasure and excitement so he could drown his pain. At some point, he actually stopped feeling hurt and started enjoying the parties, the drinks, and the girls. All the attention and praise he got made him feel part of everyone else, as if he was no longer an outsider. However, at the same time, all of that made him seem unreachable for most people. It was perfect; he got to enjoy the mundanity of it all while protecting himself from yet another heartbreak. But then it wasn't...
Meeting you is the best thing that could have happened to him. Yes, you were broken, but you both have been trying to build each other back up and make something real out of it. He's happy. When he's with you he forgets the past, and then it reaches him and makes him doubt. His insecurities drag him down and scream at him how he's not enough. He wasn't enough back then and he's even worse now.
"Wanna talk about it?" You ask while running your fingers through his hair, something you just learned helps him relax.
"I have to." His voice is merely above a whisper but is enough to make you shiver. Sure, you've cuddled and shared a bed before, but he's never exactly been this close to you. Every breath he takes tickles your neck and makes you want to have him even closer.
"You don't have to do anything you don't want."
"I do want to tell you but for now let me stay like this a little longer." He feels so small and yet so safe. Has he ever been held like this? Maybe his bar is also on the floor.
"Whatever you need."
He wakes up in the middle of the night without being able to remember when he fell asleep. Your arms are still around him and you're still playing with his hair.
"Why are you still awake?"
"I'm not tired, it's not even midnight." He can hear the smile. "Had a good nap?"
"Absolutely, you're the best pillow ever." He wraps his arms around your waist and brings your bodies closer.
"Charming as ever, I see."
You stay like that for a little while, just bathing in each other's presence and warmth. He's scared to even breathe too loud and bursting this bubble of peace and comfort. He has to, though.
"I'm sorry," he starts and before you can protest he continues. "I know you think I don't have to apologize but I need to. You've been going through some messed up shit because of me and you don't deserve to. And maybe you didn't want to make me feel bad or whatever but you should've told me.
I'm not mad, though. If anything I just feel grateful that you thought about me even in that overwhelming situation. But this also made me realize how much more you deserve. I can't change my past and I can't promise you people are just gonna leave us alone, they have the right to feel whatever they're feeling after all.
What I can promise is that I'll do everything in my power to make you feel confident in this relationship. You have nothing to worry about. I'll try even harder."
"Yeon-"
"Please, let me finish. I'll make us work. But, if you have already decided this is too much and you don't wanna go through the hassle I also understand that. You didn't sign up for this kind of harassment after all. I'll stay away if that's what you want. I'll even give you space to think about it."
He sounds so defeated. He told you he had issues, you just didn't realize how deep his insecurities run.
"There's nothing to think about," your voice remains calm. "I want to be with you. It's not a hassle and you're not too much. I'll be happy to walk with you and make this work."
He doesn't say anything, he just buries his face in the crook of your neck and holds you even tighter. He even sheds some tears but you don't notice, and if you do you don't comment on it. Is this what love feels like?

oh i had a thought btw and i wanted to share in the chat we're in but i got no access at the time i'm typing this BUT I FIGURED I COULD SAY IT TO YOU
me and my roommate after seeing the movie had a thought about what Shadow would do next after the events of the movie and the scene at the end credits of him surviving.
we imagined like...what if he just tries to wander the earth, slightly aimless but also trying to take stuff in. he had spent so long here and most of his exposure was through Maria and doing things with her. And that was it. 50 years he was locked away, and when he got out he just went straight into mission mode and even after saving the earth, it occurred to him he probably hadn't seen much of it.
and the idea of him somehow being found my sonic and the gang and them offering to house him but him declining, thinking he caused them too much trouble and it'd be best to keep his distance... even though he wouldn't know where to go and where's a safe place for him to not be bothered by gun agents or humans likely after them, him especially. Heck, Sonic even offering to show him around some places, not even Green Hills but just in places he knows off the top of his head. Lil bonding moment, nice moment between the two despite Shadow not knowing what the hell Sonic is talking about with his ramblings.
And then the final piece of Sonic realising that Shadow could maybe stay in his old cave, it served as his safe spot for so long so maybe it can serve as Shadows. Shadow even seeing Sonic's little drawing on the wall and him saying he drew it the first night he came here, just showing he did have someone he loved and lost. And my roommate even said the idea of him choosing the stay and even draw a picture of him and Maria (maybe not the doctor after all that happened but maybe so, who knows how he feels about him now).
and then just him very very possible occasionally maybe hanging out with the boys... or at least the offer is there. and getting slowly introduced and catching up on things he's missed these last 50 years...
ANYWHO I'LL STOP HAHA
I can totally see Shadow roaming for a while. Learning about the world, people watching.
He had never left the facility before, and this was all completely new to him. Maybe Maria told him about things while they were together, movies she'd seen, places she'd like to visit when she was older and could strike out on her own.
And maybe he visited them, thinking about how Maria would have loved this, or hated that, or been so excited by this other thing. It would hurt so much that he was seeing these places alone. That she hadn't had a chance to travel and see or do everything she'd dreamed of.
And maybe when it hurts too much, when he can't take the heartache of not sharing these experiences with the one person he loved, he would return to Green Hills. He wouldn't specifically seek out Sonic and crew. He'd formed an alliance with the blue hedgehog during a time of war, and he wasn't sure if that friendship extended any further than that. But he could sense the chaos energy within Sonic, and Knuckles, and from the Master Emerald. And that was comforting.
But maybe Tails has some antennas posted around town. (Or he hacked into GUN's satellites.) And maybe he gets a blip when a spike of chaos energy appears. Sonic goes to check it out and finds Shadow, sitting alone on a cliff overlooking the town.
They talk. Sonic tries to invite Shadow to the house, but he refuses. He'd injured Tom, he doesn't deserve their kindness. Sonic tries to argue, but Shadow is stubborn and makes to teleport away, when Sonic calls out to wait, he knows the perfect place Shadow can hide away when he needs someplace quiet.
And he leads Shadow to his old cave.
"It ain't the Ritz," Sonic quips, before catching himself. "Wait. Do you know about the Ritz?"
Shadow turns to him with an eyebrow raised. "The crackers?"
Sonic snickers. "Right. Nevermind. Anyway, it can get a little damp when it rains, and a little cold when it snows, and a little dark when it's night . . . but it was my home before I found my family."
Shadow stops before the crayon mural on the wall. He stares at it for a long time.
"It will do."
Sonic smiles. "Wow, high praise from the Ultimate Lifeform. Okay, well, I can bring you some food and comics and stuff to keep you entertained--"
"I don't need your handouts."
The blue hedgehog nods with a sigh. "Right. Mr. I'm So Edgy can take care of himself."
"That's right."
Sonic doesn't say anything for a moment, and when he does, his voice is softer, the joking lilt gone. "Listen, as one formerly lonely hedgehog to another, it's nice to have people care about you. Worry about you. So just . . . don't turn your back on people who want to help, okay?"
Shadow stands quietly for a moment. "Fine."
And Shadow isn't always in the cave (heaven forbid we say he lives in it, amirite SEGA?) but Sonic leaves him things anyway. Cans of food, books he thinks Shadow would like, lots of blankets.
And maybe Sonic tells the family about Shadow taking shelter in his old cave, and the next time Shadow reappears there, it's better weather sealed and more comfortable and homey. The opening is covered with an actual door, one that keeps animals and rain out.
And maybe there's a note left. One that tells Shadow they don't blame him for what he did to Tom. They understand he was stressed and confused and hurting. They forgive him. And their home is always open for him, if he were hurt, or hungry, or just wanted some company.
And maybe, one night, when the family is sitting down for supper, a flash of light appears in the backyard. Ozzy runs to the door, barking at the sudden intruder in his territory, Knuckles close behind.
And there in the middle of the yard, stands Shadow. Looking very uncomfortable. Looking like he's second guessing his presence. Looking like he's just about to teleport away.
The family stands in the doorway, looking out at the black and red hedgehog. Without a word, they turn and head back to the supper table, but leave the kitchen door open.
The choice is his. Join them. Or leave.
He stands there for a long few moments, watching as they sit down, dishing out the food. Maddie moves to the cabinet and brings another plate to the table, placing it between her and Sonic. Silverware joins it. And a glass of water.
Shadow is frozen.
He takes a step forward. And another.
And takes his place at the table.
He doesn't move in with the Wachowskis. He's not there all the time. But they always make sure to have plenty of food to go around if he chose to join them.
There's always a place at their table for a lonely hedgehog.

Some Type of Way (Male!Reader x Joel Miller)
Sarah smirks at her father as the man helps her gather her overnight bag for the sleepover.
"Wipe that look off your face it or it'll stay like that." Joel nudges her shoulder playfully. "What are you even smirking about?"
"Someone has a daaaaaaa-aaaaate."
"Smart mouth."
"Buy my silence."
"I'm letting you go on this sleepover, aren't I?"
"Yeah, cause you have a daaaaaa-"
He tugs her out of the kitchen by her backpack. "All right, I have a date. Happy?"
When she finally gets to plant her feet, she looks up at him. "Are you? I mean... how many dates is this? Have you two-"
Joel raises an eyebrow. "Do you really wanna ask that question, baby girl?"
"Ew. No, never mind." she shudders. "But still... you like him a lot."
"Yeah. Yeah, I do."
"Dad?"
The car pulls up. She has to go, but he can tell this is important. "Yeah, baby girl?"
"I like him too." she says softly.
Joel hugs her tight for a moment and they share it together. All the things they don't say, all the hopes they have. Then she smirks again.
"Say hi to him for me."
"Will do. Now you call me if anything happens. I got you that dang cell phone for emergencies."
"Yeah, Dad!"
She breezes off, and Joel stands on the porch, distracted, until you pull up.
He holds you tight when you hurl yourself into his arms, pulling you inside, closing the door on the world so he can just experience you.
Joel's life is pretty stressful. Being a single dad, dealing with his less-than-steady carpenter work, and trying to muddle through. But you are always his oasis, it seems.
He wants to give the people he loves everything, and he hates that he sometimes can't give them all he thinks they deserve.
But you don't ask for much, really. No matter how many "stay-in" dates with crappy spaghetti with store-bought sauce he makes, you don't ask to go out for fancier meals. Sometimes you even take him out.
Sarah likes you too - you relate to her well, even if you try to not get involved in her raising, knowing Joel might take offense.
He feels some type of way about you. And though you both know he's head over heels for you, you've never rushed him to say it.
Joel has always been uneasy about owing people. But with you, the emotion of gratitude is something powerful.
"I thought we would cook together this time, so I brought some stuff." you grin, and he kisses the top of your head.
"And here I thought I'd be your personal chef tonight. What, you don't like my spaghetti?"
You wink. "I love your spaghetti. But I think you'll love my garlic bread more."
When you first started dating, Joel was rigid in trying to maintain the role he thought he had to play. Provider and rock, masculine and constantly steady.
But your ease and the comfort you bring to him has allowed him to soften, to show you his true self, the one that usually only comes out around Sarah.
He's a jokester, with a wry and sarcastic wit, but also happy to follow along and find something to enjoy or find something humorous in any situation.
He puts on some music from an old CD and you two dance with each other as you cook and bake the garlic bread.
"I'll handle the cleanup. So we don't have to worry about it in the morning." you offer, and Joel winks.
"You mean I ain't kicking you out right after tonight?" he teases, and you smack him in the gut. "Fine, fine, but you let me cook breakfast for you."
"Oh, you drive a hard bargain, sir. But I guess I'll allow it. Besides, I got the whole weekend off, so I can stay over if you want."
Joel comes over, wrapping his arms around your waist and kissing the back of your neck. "Do you have to leave?"
He's asked things like this before, flirting and romantic, but you sense something... more, this time.
"Well... my lease will be up in a couple of months."
He stiffens, recognizing the unsaid offer, and then he hugs you closer. "I'll have to talk to Sarah about it, but... how would you feel about moving in here?"
"Are you sure, Joel? I know you're starting to save up for your startup and-"
"I want this. You. I want to wake up with you and take you to bed. I think I wanna share my life with you. Fully."
There's a moment you turn and kiss him where he knows he should say it, but he just can't, yet. He's far too cynical and far too wounded to say it without knowing for sure.
But ironically, the fact that you don't push is bringing him to that conclusion anyway. "You make me feel some type of way, Joel Miller."
He kisses you back, barely resisting the urge to pick you up and carry you off right then. "So do you, babe. So do you."
He'll tell you. Soon enough. After all, you two will have all the time in the world...

MIRROR
—(🎧)—> your insecurities always seem to swallow you whole, but Seungmin will always be there to pull you right out.
pairing - bf!seungmin ♥︎ fem!chubby!reader
genre - hurt w/ comfort, request
word count - 0.8k
warnings - insecurities regarding weight and stomach rolls & struggling with eating
The sound of scraping forks upon plates is not helping your predicament; it’s actually making the quaking in your stomach much worse.
Chatter bubbles besides you as your friends and your boyfriend, seungmin eat the holiday dinner that minho had prepared. It looks delicious, but the dent in the serving you had received causes a nauseating feeling.
You had already convinced yourself that you were going to push those feeling down far, but thats already gone out the window.
Your eyes meet with seungmin’s, who was sitting across from you at the dinner table. He knew something was up, especially since you were sitting there staring at your food instead of eating. You had talked about how excited you were to eat Minho’s food, so this weirded him out.
“E-Excuse me, I’ll be right back.” You stutter out, excusing your self from the table suddenly and walking towards the bathroom. The dinner was being hosted at you and Seungmins place, so you felt comfortable closing and locking the door before slumping to the ground.
Tears immediately began to spring to your eyes as you eyed the small scale that rested on the floor of the bathroom. It was your worse enemy, just looking at it made a tear silently slip past your eyelid.
Seungmin had always told you not to let the number on it define you, that you’re much more than what the scale says, but with the way your heart drops when you hop on it makes it hard to believe.
“No, no fucking way I gained weight. God I’m so stupid.” You whispered, staring down at the red numbers with guilt and shame swimming in your head.
Why do I always do this to my self?! I can’t stand me, I’m so fucking-
“Baby, unlock the door.” Seungmins voice cuts through the thoughts swirling through your mind. “Please, honey.”
You unlock the door, and seungmins heart shattered. You haven’t told him anything, but he can see in your eyes that something is wrong, and the scale being on helps him piece it together.
“You’ve been in here for 10 minutes, what’s up.” He sighs, wrapping his arms around your stomach, around your insecurity.
“It’s nothing. Had something in my teeth.” You lie, and it’s painfully obvious. You can feel the crack in your voice that proves your lying, and Seungmin knows you all too well.
“Honey, tell me the truth please. I won’t ever push you, but I can’t help if I don’t know what happened.” His voice is warm, comforting like an invisible hug wrapped its arms around you tightly.
“I’m just so..” you start, and he listens intently. “Im so…big. I gained some weight after eating, just look at my stomach. The rolls… they just make me feel like I’m not pretty enough.” You’ve confessed, face flushed pink and a new set of hot tears flooding your eyes.
“Baby, listen to me.” He says, sincerity dripping from his tongue. “You are so, so beautiful. Your stomach isn’t an ugly thing about you, it’s perfect. It’s soft, squishy, and fucking perfect.”
He kneels down, smushing his face into the rolls of your stomach, closing his eyes in content and using his hands to rub circles on your back.
“Whether you lose or gain weight, you will always be the prettiest person in the world.”
“I don’t deserve you baby, thank you.” You sigh, wiping a stray tear from your cheek.
“Of course you deserve me. I love you so much, my pretty, beautiful girl.” He whispers softly, getting up from his position on the floor to place a chaste kiss on your lips.
“Do you want to go back?” He ask, tilting his head like a puppy while waiting for your answer.
“No, I’m not really hungry anymore, but you can.” You say, walking out of the bathroom and into your shared bedroom.
“Nope, I’m staying with you.” He states, walking over to you and tackling you onto the bed.
“Minnie.” You giggle, laughing at the way he began to tickle you. “They’re gonna miss you.”
“Mhm don’t care. I’m spending time with you now.” He sighs, stopping his attack on your body and wrapping his arms around your stomach again.
It’s your insecurity, but he doesn’t it make it feel like one. He makes it feel like something that is just another part of you, something worth love.
Wow, does he work wonders, because the last thing one your mind is that sickening feeling. Now it’s him. Him and the way he loves you so deeply and unconditionally.
And you will always love him the same way too.

Marcid - (adj): withered, incredibly exhausted
Geto x Gn! Reader. Tw! Intrusive thoughts, mention of taking one's life. Comfort/ angst. A short drabble
Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick. The ticking of the clock and his heartbeat move in sync. Sleep, it's all he wants at the moment but it doesn't come, he doesn't allow it to. Tick. Tick. His heart slows down when he dozes off, so much so that at times he feels like it may stop, so he stays awake.
The hard marble floor steals his warmth, but he can't bring himself to move. A gentle tap on his shoulder pulls him back "Suguru". He knows it's you but he looks anyway. He's a total mess, but it's not the tied up hair and the dark circles on his face that alarm you. It's the look in his eyes. Dread, anguish and something else, you almost wish that they were empty instead. Wishing that he was numb instead of feeling so deeply.
He quickly averts his gaze before you could analyse him further. "Aren't you going to bed?" You spoke softly, yet the words sounded loud in the otherwise empty room. "Huh- oh, right" he sounds so unsure, you're not convinced that he even heard what you said. Everyone else had headed back to the dorms, even Gojo. You did too, that's what he guesses judging by your sleep attire. That also means that you came back just for him.
"I'll be there...in a minute". Not wanting to leave him alone, you take a seat beside him, shoulders and thighs touching, sharing some of your warmth. It made the throbbing in his bones a little less painful. "It's finally the weekend, we can just sleep all day" you say in a light tone after some beats of silence. The promise of a break is supposed to make him feel better, but it doesn't because it isn't true. They'll spend their weekend exorcising curses. He's so sick of it.
His gaze is fixed on an invisible force in front of him. "If by sleeping you mean battling demons" he mumbles dryly. Demons that didn't even belong to us. You let out an amused huff, stretching your limbs and resting against the wall "well someone's gotta do it no?". Did you even realize what you were saying? That vile, churning feeling starts to bubble up in his stomach again. He glares at you through his peripheral silently. He couldn't even get mad, just look at who he was speaking to. You've made the sacrifices, took punches and lost sleep to do your work, time and time again he's watched you throw so much away. And for what? for the sake of those.... non - sorcerers.
"Those bastards don' t deserve us" it's a quiet, muttered statement, but it slipped out anyways. "Geto!" Of course he wasn't okay you knew that, but it never crossed your mind once that resentment might be what's killing him slowly. "I just- what if we burn out?" he shifts to face you completely, grabbing your arm "hm?".
The words you want to say stick to your throat like bread. "What are you saying? we don't get to burn out-". The physical reaction he has stops you immediately, and he lets go of your arm, not meeting your eyes. "I-" you sigh quietly, the previously comfortable silence became heavy. You place a hand over one of his resting on the ground, running your fingers over his knuckles, his heart lurches. "Is that what's been bothering you, Suguru? is it getting too much?".
He shakes his head. "I don't want this, i can't do it anymore". When he makes eye contact again, he's met with understanding and affection, one that makes him feel safe, like he could tell you anything, he can. Your other hand moves to his face, finger pads running along his jaw. Suddenly everything for Geto is too much, the clock was too loud, the floor too cold, his skin too hot. When your hand shifts and you have your palm against his face instead, his lips press to the delicate skin of your wrist. His hand placed on the ground allows you to thread your fingers together, and that's how it is for a while. If it was up to him, he'd stay like that for the rest of the night.
You suck in a sharp breath "you should get some rest" you whisper. He doesn't reply. He wanted you, so bad that it was awful. These thoughts, they hit him out of nowhere some days. Violent, nefarious thoughts that cause him to lose his dinner. However, they always get quiet when you're around, when you laugh or keep him company. You reduce his monsters to mere pests that he can manage for a while. It almost makes him feel like you can fix him. Almost.
"Come with me?" He murmurs into your skin, eyes still shut. You look up "to your room?" That wasn't a good idea, but the night was freezing, you're tired and his thoughts are deafening. Without giving an indication or reply, Suguru simply rises, hand still hooked unto yours. "just come with me" he murmurs again, heading to his room and taking you with him.
Tangled limbs, and gentle caresses. His shirt is discarded and replaced by your touch, his hands slip under your clothes, but that's as far as it goes. When that dark place starts to claw at his feet once more, he presses kisses all over you. His lips connect with your neck, your nose, the corner of your mouth, focusing on how tender you feel. He only stops when he catches a glimpse of how you're looking at him. "What?" he breathes out, oh how he wanted to kiss the crinkle in between your brow and watch it disappear, he wanted to kiss all your worries away. "I feel like i'm losing you" you say quietly.
His face twists into a grimace, and he rolls off of you, laying on his back and running a hand over his face. He felt like he was losing himself, too, but he couldn't say that. He's so tired, it's kind of tired that sleep won't cure. He has thought about running away, leaving everything behind, leaving you behind. To make the thought even more unlike him, he's accepted the fact that he might have to kill to live the way he wants to, lives would have to be lost, and sometimes he feels like he's willing to make that sacrifice. To make that sacrifice for all of them.
You turn. Getting on top of him this time. Your fingers find and undo the clips keeping his hair together, untangling his unkempt locks. He chases after your touch, wanting to feel more of the things only you could make him feel. His mind wanders once more. There's always the other option, the one he's been trying to avoid. Going to sleep, maybe the next time his heart starts to slow down he'll let it, maybe he'll speed up the process, rip it out of his chest and squeeze it until it stops beating, until he stops living. But then what? He'd get away, and you'd be left here, heartbroken, a part of him hopes. But unhappy, and nothing would change, it had to change, he was going to change it.
The feeling of your fingers against his lips pulls him back, and he looks at you with a half lidded gaze. "Hey, we'll be alright" you say quietly, the words sounding loud in the otherwise empty room. Liar. He doesn't say it. Tears prick at the corners of his eyes. "Oh you're wrong, you're so perfect...but you're so wrong" his tone is breathless, like it's painful to speak. You brush away his tears, and you lean down to capture his lips with yours.
A strangled, choked up sound slips out of his mouth, and he pulls you close, fingers exploring the expanse of your back. The kiss is slow, and the most softness he's allowed himself to indulge in, in a while. You were kissing his worries away, if you tried hard enough you could scrape together his broken pieces, and place them back into the order he's lost.
You can't fix him entirely, though, and he hates himself for it. But for now you can ground him, prevent him from losing his mind and losing even more of himself. That night, the lines between friendship and something more intimate are blurred. And no matter what you call yourselves after this, you have each other.
Habromania - (noun): delusions of happiness
