Imagine being the empire, spending 15ish years building the Super Kill Death Laser 9,000,000 instead of doing reasonable infrastructure projects or expanding your effective military, and then it gets blown up by a random fucking dirt farmer from assfuck nowhere within like a couple days of coming online because Director "Serve Cunt at All Costs" Krennic couldn't be bothered to double check his situationship's blueprints

One benefit lower decks had that was really a boon to the trek universe as a whole is that animation paved the way to add more, and continue to showcase, aliens that went beyond just humans in makeup. The original animated series had a few as well but it's place in canon was always a little loose. Lower decks was able to confirm those species as canon as well as add some new ones of their own, without being limited to the budget of adding makeup and prosthetics to an actor

I feel really really pissed about the amount of guns Dr Who is starting to feature.

Like??????? Hello??????? The Doctor hates guns???????? UNIT pulls out two giant laser turrets and fires at the bone creatures and the Doctor is just going to stand by and. Let them???????

The Doctor going "if only I had a weapon" and pulling out a gun and firing it at Omega without heasitation??????? What happened to "I'm the Doctor I don't need weapons, I don't need guns, all I need is this screwdriver" ????????

yes the PJO show still has some significant changes compared to the book (the whole Medusa thing) but the understanding of the characters is spot fucking on. Like the percabeth dynamic? I’m obsessed. The mf consensus song? Hilarious. Every little thing they change they give a new thing that feels so real and in character that I just appreciate we get to see it. It’s like we get to see things that we haven’t before and they’re things that are absolutely plausible and in character for the trio.

I can’t help but think that the movie tariffs are going to harm people wanting to tell people about real historical events, people of immigrants who have been effected by tragedies. It would be so hard for these stories to be heard.

It makes it especially hard for non American filmmakers to be allowed bigger collaborations with American creators. Americans who have immigrant families or who are immigrants themselves effectively couldn’t depict or represent their families’ culture.

every day I lament jack kline being in only the last few seasons of supernatural, because as well-written as he and his whole arc genuinely is, the rest of that portion of the show is uuuuh ASS, not to mention visually boring.

every day I imagine tiny babyface jack filmed with the grainy aesthetic, the gorgeous high-contrast lighting and dark greyish filter… shots of him in the dark with his eyes glowing like a little cryptid, him in the car at night, him appearing out of nowhere in sam and dean’s hotel rooms. him using his powers with late 2000s limited CGI, and more of the vibe of early seasons angels where their powers aren’t big and flashy and glowy but they feel more eldritch and scary…. static and exploding glass and uncanny not-quite-humannness…. OH it’s just so good

also please consider that alexander calvert was twenty years old in 2010 (season 5, aka when lucifer was first in the show) and FIFTEEN during season 1. closest picture I could find to what a 2000s seasons jack would look like is THIS

sorry hi last reblog has me thinking about how i havent played in awhile. i haven't been a fan of the recent updates they're far too 'content production'-y for me. but i just want to express i think many of the best moments in gw2 story have been when the writing is utter camp slop that the writers were clearly extremely emotionally invested in, completely regardless of their production timeframes or budget. my opinion basically is guild wars 2 is better when it's worse
