been receiving asks in various degrees of seriousness (you guys are very nice) so i might as well elaborate on galaxy duo before any actual toxicity leaks in

first of all. i could care less if you love galaxy duo and think they’re fluffy and cute. there’s only so much objective interpretation you can draw from literal cubes, so at a certain point it’s just your biases forming your opinions, same way you can’t build a house with two bricks. personally, i found them interesting, my interest dipped slightly in the latter half of WL, but who knows? their dynamic could change if/when there’s a new season.

a disclaimer in advance: if it wasn’t already apparent by the asks (anyway the only people who will see this are people who were following me already but this is jic), i am a pearl main. i don’t watch scott because i don’t like the editing. therefore my takes are exceedingly biased but so is pearl, so there’s that.

let’s talk about their dynamic pre-WL. for LL, i’ll accept that they were a cute wholesome duo. i didn’t watch LL so i can’t really say anything, but from what i’ve heard they were your regular alliance. and then in DL. well. the Horrors. i’ve said a lot about DL already so we’re going to settle and say, pearl absolutely deserved to be mad at scott. abandoning her and not even considering a polycule was not very open minded of him

anyway throughout LiL and SL she’s still angry at him and wants to kill him, which again, i find fair because of the tilly death do us part sacrifice (i invite you to rethink the implications of that line paired with what he did next. essentially saying “we break up when one of us dies” and then killing yourself. ?).

and then add in the element of gem in SL. trust me she’s relevant. gem and pearl have a thing going on, scott doesn’t like it because he sees it as gem nearly leaving their alliance for his ex, but still, because gem is Gem, he holds back on giving her the jimmy/pearl/joel treatment and still tries to be nice to her.

WL begins. it’s a lot. gem doesn’t like pearl because she viewed it as a betrayal and also she finds it funny to play around with her like that. scott doesn’t like pearl. pearl doesn’t like scott.

this is where it starts to get contentious, but also a hill that i will die on: the Gs were absolutely toxic, at least for the first four episodes. i don’t really feel like pointing out all the clips of the pointed comments, the veiled insults, the DIRECT QUOTE of “we’re a family whether you like it or not”, so i’ll use two examples, one for scott, one for pearl.

pearl borderline sold her alliance out. mumbo and skizz came up to pearl, explicitly told her that they were trying to kill her allies, and she not only agreed but engaged in friendly conversation with them for the entirety of their hiding. when the rest of the Gs came back (even joel commented on how pearl was alone at the base), mumbo even helped pearl cover up.

this is not normal alliance behaviour, and definitely not normal pearl behaviour. if pearl was happy in the alliance she wouldn’t have practically invited two would-be murderers to kill her allies. neither is she unjustified with how scott and cleo dismissed her feelings from DL. look, pearl is one of the most loyal lifers, to the point she faced a messy breakup with gem. even to mumbo she was reluctant to trash talk scott or cleo, but still, she let them make the hole, because plain and simple, the alliance was toxic.

as for scott; scott was more friendly to gem than pearl. see, i told you she was relevant. this is less black-and-white than the mumbo and skizz trap, but in social terms it means a lot. it’s like your bestie siding with your ex instead of you, which if you think about it was exactly what was happening. scott spouts a lot about loyalty, but he thinks about it very plainly: loyalty is killing yourself for your ally. but in fact what he did was push the “antagoniser” narrative onto pearl and reinforce and encourage it. gem said an inch, he said a mile.

not to say gem wasn’t the one who created it in the first place, but as pearl’s ally, scott’s first reaction shouldn’t have been to side with gem (he admits to pearl that he doesn’t know what she did, but that based off gem’s reaction he just assumes that pearl did something wrong, despite KNOWING that gem has beef with pearl from SL and is thus an unreliable narrator). as pearl’s (and impulse’s, but to a lesser extent because impulse kind of deserved it for going on about the cows) ally, he shouldn’t have brought it up at the start of every session and result in pearl defending herself furiously before he dragged pearl and impulse to apologise to gem.

this is not up for debate. wl!pearl did nothing to gem, or to anyone. scott tried to convince her to apologise to gem, for nothing. again, even gem points this out to pearl, and because pearl is loyal to a fault, she says that scott’s her ally.

anyway. the Gs were toxic for at least the first four episodes, full stop.

here’s where it starts to derail slightly (for me, at least): the sacrifice. but, you know, let’s examine the circumstances a little closer. as background information, pearl was the only yellow/red whose allies didn’t try to get them a kill. like, the Gs’ approach to gaining lives is not to kill others but to spend one session doing nothing before the guy with the most lives offers to kill himself. strange. lots of issues, these two.

anyway, scott offers the sacrifice, and pearl’s initial reaction is to refuse. the alliance talks it through, and decides it would take the target off scott’s back and give pearl a life. pearl and scott have pretty similar playstyles, in that while they do engage in more rp than say, grian or jimmy, they are also, in a way, sweats. the sacrifice was discussed logically, practically, and it turned out to be a logical decision because without it pearl would’ve permadied a few sessions too early.

here’s where i was a little thrown off, by the presenting that this would be somehow cathartic (iirc, scott uses this exact word) because pearl finally gets to kill scott. it’s funny because pearl does admit while they’re going back to base that she would’ve preferred a 1v1, but i don’t think her deal was ever over that she wanted scott to die. sure, she wanted scott dead, but it was because she didn’t have agency in the dl finale. in the same way, the WL sacrifice isn’t exactly because she really wanted the life (she refused it at first), or because she wanted to kill scott so badly (she said she wanted a 1v1), but mainly because both parties recognised that it was the most sensible decision to do in the circumstances that they were in (scott was dark green, pearl needed a life). to me, it didn’t address pearl’s lack of control over the season that she won, or scott’s distrust of pearl.

but whatever. they act friendly for the rest of the season, because technically their story’s been resolved, so there’s no aggression to be acted out. nothing galaxy duo there.

the ONLY OTHER thing of note is the?? matching hoodie?? not on my bingo card at all. i’ve spoken about it in some ask before but it’s just so random to me? like it never went anywhere, and i don’t see why scott wanted to match red hoodies with her anyway. like why her, specifically? pearl hadn’t killed anyone besides martyn, and that was to avenge her allies. they never address this so i suppose this lack of logic is what spurs on the majormoon truthers; that scott loves pearl so much that he wants to match with her so they can be like a #dynamicduo or something.

uhhhhhhhh. i dunno. it’s just so random and again, because it’s never brought up besides pearl’s cursory “oh, we’re matching” (which we now know was planned because scott asked for permission when getting the skin), it doesn’t have any narrative significance to me. maybe scott explains it in his video. idk

anyway, my problem was how a duo with so much bad blood (>3 seasons), to the point that they were at each other’s throats while in the same alliance, was just kinda. rushed? look, i know the life series isn’t scripted, and the players just have to make do with whatever improv they can do, and i do think scott and pearl did the best with what they had, but personally i was hoping that they wouldn’t go the “pearl finally forgives scott! yay scott for sacrificing!” route because it’s pushed under the rug so suddenly in the hopes of achieving any sort of closure.

again, ccs are fine, i think they were great, i wasn’t a big fan of how the story was handled. that’s it

The Wedding | Bark and Bite 2 of 15

This is the second illustration for the wedding of our lovely murderous boys. As some of you know I have plans for other pieces that involves churches and a party. And I have space to fill so I need your help.

If any of you has an OC (original character) or a “sona” / persona that you use to appear on line, no matter the fandom. And you want to be in the background of the next pieces, means to this the ceremony and the party, please send the references to my inbox! I already have a few but I need more. I have big ass space to fill.

EDIT 19/01/25 if you are a writer and you don’t have your character or your sona in pictures or drawings you can send me a reference made with PicCrew! If you search for “full body” you can find tons of options for to build your character, a plus in this one is that this templates are made by artist so is good to go. Cuz I’m sorry but in this house we are against the use of AI for art, so please don’t send AI as reference.

The size of each one of the future illustrations (including this and the previous one) are 36 x 26 cm or 14.4 x 10.4 inches long . That is HUGE, so we all can print it when I’m finish but yea. Send those references in my way please I will be grateful for that.

But now let me explain what the hell are you looking in this work!!!

In first place we have the complete piece with dialogues. Those dialogues are based on the video that shows up the change in Subject 7-1 gear at the beginning of The Glitch arc. In that one Swagger mentions that he likes more the old mask, and John gives to him that mask.

So that’s why in this piece he has that one , and not the new one.

I also have a lot of theory of why he is not using his old gear anymore but that’s matter of a future fanfic not something for this wedding.

On second we have ✨Clothes Details ✨

As I said in the past one, I modify the traditional attires to fit them, in Thai piece we can see more of the little things that I added to Subject 7-1 clothes, the brooch is more clear and the little buttons in the sleeve are matches in color and detail. Again for the lost ones violet/ purple is his color. The pattern again I did it myself by hand and I’m still, very proud.

Swaggers has symmetrical details so this sides matches the other one.

Now THE BACKGROUND

I asked glitch for his favorite maps in Warzone, why Warzone and not zombies? Or multiplayer? Cuz Swagger comes from the Warzone universe, the same one that WZ. So it was at least for me very clear that we needed that. He give me the list. And he remembered that in Vondel map, one of his favs, it has an actual church. And the decision was made.

Vondel is the map where they will get married. Of course here it looks more clean than in the real map, but let’s pretend that the boys cleaned the house before the ceremony. This specific church is based in a real life one the link to see the real one is in the previous post. And belive me when I said that I searched and search I even ask my friends if they have a good screen shoot of the place.

None of the screenshots give me the vibe I needed. So I DID THE FUCKING CHURCH BY HAND, LINE BY LINE. BRICK TO BRICK. ALL MINE.it took me like,,, Ikd four ? Five hours? But I get it done and it looks stupidly beautiful and fit thing that I love it.

Then we add a little Easter eggs for the other boys, in one we have a pink soap with a crown with pink gems to represent Johnny and Baby Girl , in the other side we have the traditional new ghost skull mask, the other one didn’t work I’m sorry.

And we have a crown for Biblical Accurate König next to Jack mask cuz they are they. And in the wall a big explosion and the line “WZ was here” . My boy was there. I love him so much. Belive me when I said that after I finish the wedding and the centaur König I promise to itibo , the boy will be my next victim for art. I have so much of him that I want to draw.

The pieces with the Ocs are going to take a bit more time, for the complexity of the composition and backgrounds that I want but I hope to have them ready in two weeks. Once an old art teacher told me that other artist can see how much you love someone, or how meaningful they are for the amount of details and work that they put in their gifts, so if we all looking at this we can tell how much I love this two and glitch of course cuz. let me paint u a scene.

SO. Jack Hughes. he is, first and foremost, a middle child. this, i feel, is important information. he also looks like a lil doll.

WHICH. is a complicated thing 2 look like in hockey. because, on the one hand, u have mass appeal amongst teenage girls (boys and theys) but you automatically have the hatred of all old men who watch hockey and young men named some variation of Brayden who "would have made it if they didn't break their pinky finger in juniors" or whatever. and now they look at jack hughes who is both pretty and talented and they hate him. so sad 4 them. they should probs get over that tho. also he is 5'11. which he will tell you. agressively. is not small. but average. AVERAGE HEIGHT. SO. just - jot that right down, okay???????? (again, 4 context, anything below six ft. in hockey is small TM)

ANYWAY SO. Jack Hughes, pretty lil boi that he is, goes first overall in the draft in 2019 (i think) at age 18, because the nhl is a cradle robber, and, if u don't know how the draft works, the worse the team the earlier they get to pick, so he goes to one of the worst teams in the league (the new jersey devils) and in a SHOCKING turn of events this teenager does not manage to save this team immediately and therefore is attacked.

HOWEVER, Jack Hughes's super power, and i say this with the utmost love and affection, is that he is. dumb. and he simply never once stops believing in himself. like truly, the dumber u are the less anxiety u have. one time. his team was not that great but they were winning games somehow and a reporter asked him about it and he was like "yeah we're just too stupid to lose. like we don't know we're bad so we don't know we're supposed to lose" which. tbh *inspiring*

being dumb also means he is unintentionally one of the funniest players in the nhl.

ALSO, idk how to explain this. but like. there's a whole thing where he didn't know how to cook broccoli one time, and it haunts him 2 this day and it makes me laugh.

BUT the most important thing to understand about Jack Hughes is that he loves his brothers. he has an older brother, Quinn, who is A GEM. a gift. the sweetest hockey play 2 ever hockey. and a younger brother Luke, who plays on his team. and these boys do nothing but support each other 24/7 it is truly HEART WARMING. and precioussss.

• Anyone who knows me knows I am a huge fan of Krang after effect fics. This is such a fantastic look to how things would go if the Krang stayed in Raph’s head as head mates. It’s still a WIP but has a fantastic sense of foreboding that makes updates delightful! Be mindful of tags and triggers .

Sorry to dump this here, but no one in my immediate and/or accessible circle reads as much as I do and this conversation came up at the right time.

I don't read a lot of romance and I started reading some popular ones last year to ease my way into it. I feel like such a snob to say this, but the plot and writing are never fully fleshed out nor are the characters. None of the romantic actions I see people swoon over are ever explained well enough for me to understand the hype. A scene in which there should be an emotional inner monologue is shorted to a paragraph and if the character is toxic (I understand a lot of people enjoy toxic/dark men, but romance books never write them well enough) and destroys the other character's life/says a relationship-ending lie/any other cliche, there is never enough explanation, justification, groveling, or any thought process behind the reconciliation.

It's always just one half-written and half-baked trope after the other.

Again, apologies for dumping it here, but I think there are such damning consequences for women (the main demographic of romance readers) who read things like this and don't give constructive criticism or thought when facing these problems.

no but you're 100% right. i mean, this is one annoying bitch's opinion (mine LMAO) but trad publishing is in the absolute pits right now. that's not to say that there aren't still some good books coming out because of course, every now and then you're going to get a gem. but i think the environment has become outwardly hostile to good writing.

i mean, i know this has been discussed a ton, but the "fast fashionization" of books has become a huge problem. every time there's a new microtrend or whatever, every author rushes to push out a book to meet the demand (see: the hockey romance trend). this, obviously, means that the editing time is severely compressed and you get books published by like harper collins and penguin with typos, grammar issues, and more.

i got some flack for this when i posted about it on twitter ahah but i honestly do not understand why the sequel to "fourth wing" came out so soon (not even getting into the messy qualities of the first book). sequels used to take a year or more to come out to allow for the book to go through several rounds of editing and fine tuning! what happened??!!

i think authors now feel compelled to get their books out as soon as possible out of fear that booktok/readers will simply move on after the initial hype and they'll lose their reader base. there's like an anxiety about being left behind in the current publishing world.

this is kind of in line with what i was talking about the other day with Bo actually - writing romance and smut is actually way harder than people think. you can't just use the same 5 recycled porn dialogue lines and call it a day. you have to care a little about the story you're trying to tell, not just churning it out to make a buck or to make people pay attention to you. i'm not saying belabour every single action and decision made by your main character or go crazy on description (i still think the sweet spot for a published book is between 250-300 pages, and maybe more if you're writing a genre specific book that involves a lot of worldbuilding), but as a writer you need to want to be writing that book in the first place.

no one who's legitimately excited about what they're writing is going to resort to cliches and overused tropes - they might lean on tropes they like, but there's inevitably going to be something original and exciting there.

also my lil controversial opinion about the state of trad publishing lately is that i think it's 100% influenced by this weird pervasive strain of purity culture that's on booktok where people feel like any enjoyment they get from reading a particular thing has a direct reflection on them as a person and their values. rather than it just being a book.

(by the way i actually completely agree with you that even dark romances are as bad as everything else we've been talking about - that's another conversation lol. i also kind of agree with the idea of more romance books coming with content warnings on the front page - this hasn't really caught on yet except with some dark romance authors but i think it's a really good idea)

i don't think there's anything wrong about people getting excited about books on tiktok and instagram and youtube btw. i think it's a fun way to share recommendations, commentary, and interests. what i think is the big problem is that the publishing industry has almost become beholden to trends and online perception because they've seen how much profit they can generate by catering to it, and i think that's why books now just feel bland and soulless. they're tapping into a FOMO on both the authors' and writers' side, of either being left behind and not being able to make a living, or missing out on what everyone else is reading and talking about.

Favourite thing in your room/house: I've put up a small whiteboard on the back of my door which is use for gratitude/manifesting wishes. There's pics of family/friends & I've made something I'm manifesting for this year hehe✨️

When you had a fight with Felix (god forbid) and you are sulking but it’s thundering outside and you are scared of thunder, so he comes up though you are not talking 🥺🥺 can i cry please

pairing: felix x gn!reader genre: lil angst, fluff, gn!reader warnings/other: none, .9k, kinda edited there were very few times you had argued with felix. it was never to the point of yelling nor insults, but sometimes he frustrated you to no end.

on occasion, felix would do small, careless things that turned into, well, large, careless things. you weren't living together, though he was at your house enough to have a key and free range of your fridge. you'd joke about how he was your live-in farm animal because he consistently grazed on your food. you didn't mind, though, your cute calf lounging around your house.

but this time, he sent you into a rage. felix eating your food. it wasn't just food, it was the cake you had hand baked for your friends birthday, and it was very important. you slaved over the cake for three days, the first one you made was a disaster, the second the same but the third time, it was flawless. you were so proud.

the three tiers of cake perfectly aligned with the black and red fudge. pretty little pearl gems along the side with hand crafted roses. it was your shining glory. everything about it was absolutely perfect.

well, that was before felix decided to press his finger in it to try it, the pressure of his touch making the cake completely topple over in the fridge. it was ruined, not even a tiny bit salvageable.

nothing in you regretted kicking him out this morning, until now. the gentle sounds of rain trickled down the windows in the beginning, small spurts of harsh wind whispering through the trees.

it was okay at first, you liked the rain but you didn't like thunder. something about the sound clawed into your chest, burying itself deep inside you and making itself at home. it was scary, the feeling of your windows shaking back and forth with the bangs of the wind.

every minute, it got worse. you could hear the sounds of branches snapping, thunder rumbling into the walls of the house with every snap of clouds banging into each other.

you're stuck in your closet, hands pressing against your ears as you rock back and forth, trying to hum yourself to calm down, almost like a lullaby. your mind tells you if you leave the closet, it'll get worse. like somehow, your movements will change the course of nature.

another bang shutters the windows, you whimper, scared of the noises yet to come. a strangled zap echoes in your room, all of the lights switching off in an instant. it's completely pitch black, the only light coming from your phone on the ground next to you.

"please stop, please stop." you chant to yourself over and over, eyes pressing shut. the weather channel lied. this isn't light showers. this was the throat of a demon swallowing the world.

you don't even notice the closet door open at first, a small amount of light peeping through from a torch. your boyfriend is staring down at you. he takes you in, his wet hair sticking to his forehead, and he's slightly out of breath as if he ran the whole way here.

"baby, it's okay, it's me." he almost whispers. he notices the wet marks on your shirt, little droplets of tears planting themselves in the fabric.

nothing comes out of your mouth but a small whimper.

bang. the sound of thunder surrounds the house, slightly shaking the pictures on your wall. you let out a sob, mind still stinging with fright.

"here, here." felix says, showing you a pair of noise cancelling headphones. you can't move, frozen in your spot. he knows exactly what to do, this isn't the first time you've been this scared before.

ever so gently, he pry's your hands from your ears, placing the headphones over your head. it's one of your favourite songs, just loud enough to drown out the sound of the thunderstorm. you feel him slot himself behind you, wrapping his arms around your shoulders, head pressed against your neck. you can't hear him, but you can feel his lips moving against you. his hair is cold, still dripping from the rain.

"it'll be over soon, i promise."

your body automatically turns to him, seeking shelter in his chest, arms wrapping around his waist. a crack of thunder pangs, but it's not as loud this time. you're melting into your boyfriends touch, his arms rubbing soothing lines along your back, rocking you with him. the anxiety in your chest lessens, every minute that goes by you can feel yourself calm just a bit more.

felix dips his head down as he delicately pulls you back, eyes meeting your own. "it's not gonna hurt you, it's okay. i'm here, baby."

a few kisses are pressed on your cheek, and then one on your forehead. he hums, cheek resting against you, the feeling vibrating through your body.

you're not sure how long you sit like this, but you haven't felt and rumbles for a few minutes. when you've calmed down a bit, you lean back, rain still pouring down on the windows.

"i'm still mad at you."

the corner of his mouth turns up at one side, his fingers rubbing along the bloated edges of your cheeks. "i'd be disappointed if you weren't."

Hi hi hiiiii! So, once more this lil ol blog completes one more year of existence!!! Very crazy when I stop to think about everything that happened here, every phase and event and joy and sorrow I shared here, to think I almost closed it for good and, even if my activity here dropped a lot, I am still very happy I kept this blog ♡

I couldn't prepare any fic or lil event this year (I will try to do one during Christmas time, tho!) so I thought I could just chat here a bit and share some appreciation.

Thank you every mutual, every follower, every rb and every asky, I appreciate them so so much, it's the reason I keep creating and sharing my stories, my thoughts, It's the reason I created this blog in the first place! To share and have joy here and you have no idea how much I go back in every fic, every kind ask just to get smilling like crazy.

Last year I lost someone dear to me and because of it I just... stopped. I stopped writing, reading, daydreaming or even interacting with anything related with tickles for entire months.... It may see small right now, especially since I am back, but I really was so, so afraid I would never have that fondness I hold for something that was once so especial to me. Tickling used to be my very special and comforting space, the thing I held one when nothing else seemed to help and to have lost that, even if only for a "few" months, it felt..... Unbearable.

Exactly one year ago, tho, I was back to writing (probably even finishing) my first fic made from scratch. Not something reblogged or that needed a few editing to post. Literally something I sat down and dreamed again and smiled and wrote.

Nowdays, tickling is back to being something really special and comforting, something I hold very dearly next to my heart and cherish in this blog every chance I have.

This is all to say that... you're all very especial to me, truly, if we chatted once, if you answered a reblog of mine, if you like my posts or commented years ago, or comments now pls know that I get all happy when I see you in my notifications. I wouldn't come back to creating and sharing anything if I didn't feel like there would be no one would be here to read it

It's crazy I can still discover new things in the community still, even after spending so much time here. I am writing for the first time a tickle fic of my ocs to share! Something that even if I thought about, I had never truly written before, because I felt so very embarrassed every time I thought in doing so but.... after seeing so much awesome creators enjoying doing it and produly showing their ocs I am getting courage to do the same as well!

Also, I am writing so much these months and enjoying every new fandom and not worrying about seeing productive or doing something all the time without rest! That is amazing, I am trying new scenarios and still can discover new tickle spots, new scenarios, new reactions to share in here! That is delightful, truly.

And, thank you so much to you, my dear mutuals! My friends from this year or some year in the past! If you're still here on tumblr or not, I remember every single one of you.

For all the wonderful artists, the incredible writers, everyone who keeps this community alive, thank you sooo soooooo much. Appreciate them, beans, the most that you can because they are the gems of this place! ♡

hellooo! i love your work and how articulate you are when writing!! i was wondering if you had any tips or advice for someone who wants to start making fics & how to build a following? 🩷

(this got unintentionally long im so sosrry for yapping anon!)

ON WRITING:

in all honesty, just write and write!! i've written so much stuff starting when i was like 12. when i go back to my past works (ranging from fanfics to nonfanfics), i always cringe so hard cos theyre soooo soooo bad 😭😭 when you write a lot over the years, you're eventually going to see improvements.

also, i think finding your writing style really helps a lot! there are writers whose works are prose-heavy, those whose signature is purple prose, and those who write very simply. i fall under the last category 🤓

another thing is that, find the genre that you think is ur strength and make it a part of your branding(?). some are famous for their fluffy works, some are famous for their angsty fics, and some are famous for their smut. obv, you can mix all of those stuff but theres always something ur better at, and i think its good to lean towards that and leverage on it.

when you do get to writing, i think its important to take into consideration researching what youre gonna write about. it doesnt need to be extensive at all, surface-level research goes a long way!! i have to look up a lot of things while writing nb cos im obv not in tech nor an accountant nor do i habe chaebol friends or live in sk and my life generally is very far from theirs ijbol. it sometimes annoy me when i get to a part that needs some researching, but u really dont want to make it obvious to your audience that u dont know about this particular thing HAHAHA (you can put disclaimer anyway, jic)

the choice of pov is also really important!! i tend to avoid fics that are written in first person, so naturally, i don't write that way. i do think though its kinda common consensus for almost everybody. but its also just a personal preference. i dont think i've read anything thats in first person yet, but im sure my pre conceived notion about it has hindered me from finding a gem written in first person. at the end of the day, it all boils down to how well you write your stuff!!

one last thing; edit your work! your first draft doesnt necessarily have to be the final product. go over your paragraphs to improve some of the phrasing and stuff

ON BUILDING A FOLLOWING (TUMBLR)

i dont exactly have a big following on here lol but here's what (i think i did) to gain enough:

making your blog pretty-looking really helps a lot!! thats what i did when i first started writing on tumblr. make a mlist, navi page, etc. theres a lot of tumblr tutorials accessible on the internet so its not very hard

this could also be under the "making your blog pretty" thing but editing a landscape banner for your story can attract viewers 🩷 (or even those moodboard thingies) (ok i lied its more like a personal experience 😭😭 but i really think it contributes a lil something)

when you post, put it under the right tags to really hit your target audience. the tagging system was really messed up on here a few years back, but i think its better nowadays, so better take advantage of that

be responsive to comments and reblogs and asks! talk to your readers!!

and again, just write and write. the more active you are, the more you post your works, the more traction u get
