Eden update

I did not anticipate that transitioning a new dog into my home would go this smoothly. I planned for every eventuality I could think of, and didn't end up needing to worry about the majority of it. Honestly, I’m shocked at how well it’s going.

Friday (Eden's first day home) was a bit stressful, but I could see her getting more comfortable as the day went on yesterday and she and Sailor started warming up to each other. This morning, I was able to hold both of them in my lap at the same time, and so far today it’s been pretty much nonstop playtime for her and Sailor.

I left them alone for approximately an hour this afternoon while I went out to run a couple of errands and to obtain a footlong pretzel, and when I came back I still had two happy, healthy dogs. There were no "accidents" and nothing was destroyed.

The biggest challenge at the moment is that Eden is almost completely untrained. Aside from being housebroken, she really doesn't know anything else. She walks well on a leash, surprisingly, but she absolutely hates getting the harness on. I've ordered her a slip-on service dog style harness like Sailor's, so we'll try that when it gets here and hopefully that'll be easier for her. I'm going to give her a couple weeks to settle in, and then I really need to start training her because she can't even do a basic sit on command. She has zero recall skill, and she won't be able to be off-leash outside anywhere except our yard until she does.

Meanwhile, she has bloodwork and a physical examination scheduled for 12 August, and surgery to fix her umbilical hernia and to neuter her on 27 August.

Her first big adventure with us will be a trip to my parents' house in August. I'll keep everyone updated on her progress.

Placing the heart-shaped cookies that you had baked for Sal on the kitchen counter, you bounced over to the couch where Sal was busy trying to connect VCR player to the tv. “Wow, Sal, you’re really going all out for today, huh?” you say as you relax on the couch, opening one of the many bags of chips that Sal had prepared on the coffee table. “I’m not over doing it, am I? I just want today to be perfect for you, I don’t know if-” - you shush him before he can finish his thought. “It’s perfect, Sal. I couldn’t ask for more.”

Valentines Day Headcanons for the Goon Squad

The girlfriend he uses as a beard either gets the ultimate valentines, that he's going to use as content for his tiktok. Or he forgets and gets her wilted roses.

His centuars and favorite bull are the true winners on vday. Suddenly everybody gets a hands on grooming session and all the apples they could eat.

Bailey

Has no valentines and makes it everyone else's problem. If you stand close enough you can get psychic damage from his pining. Don't let him catch you enjoying life or a valentines. He pretends he doesn't care, but very clearly does.

If you check the likes on his priv its just valentines day hate posts.

Briar

Loves it, one of his busiest days. All the loneliest losers show up. Schedules special shows throughout the day. Personally doesn't celebrate it. He's pimpin' folk out, he'll never fall for a hoe. Maybe drinks a big bottle of wine, and watches himself in the mirror in some red lingerie.

Eden

If he doesn't have an unlucky spouse DO NOT go in the woods on Valentines day. If he does have a spouse, does nothing for valentines day, because he "doesn't believe in it". If his spouse gets him something his present is dick... but they were probably getting that regardless.

Wren

Usually has a valentines, if not hangs with his boys. Strip poker with the boys 🫦

Zephyr

Handsome swashbuckler probably takes someone on a date on his ship to watch the sundown. Something something because of the implication. If there's a raid on valentines day he might seduce the other captain.

Harper

Schedules his favorite patients appointments. Might have a couple dick appointments too. Definitely brings Quinn his sperm bank proposal
