Actually looking for two fics, similar topic though. Both were on Ao3. The first was Witch Steve where he becomes Joyce's apprentice. I remember there's a part about a bracelet that Steve accidentally uses on Eddie. I think he also made a luck charm and Eddie got angry for the false confidence. The second one was Witch Eddie and was a Practical Magic au where Eddie curses himself to never fall in love unless it's the perfect guy. Max and Dustin were Steve's kids in it and Eddie made them charms.

Summary

He just watches Richie until he can’t see him anymore, and he quietly wishes maybe he’d said something different after all.

And then there’s just darkness.

He wakes up, startled, in the Town House, with his face in his hands and his elbows on his knees.

“What the fuck,” he says, looking down at his own hands.

It only takes three rings for Richie to pick up the phone. This is pretty standard for Richie. He’d told Eddie once that the first time his phone rings, he usually has to find it somewhere in the room. The second time it rings is when Richie sees the Caller ID, and if he picks up on the third ring, that means Richie likes whoever is at the other end. He’d found that infuriating when Richie first told him, and vividly remembers how he’d bitched about missing important opportunities if he was answering phone calls based on his mood. Right now, however, knowing that Richie is answering the phone because he wants to talk to Eddie brings nothing but total relief.

“All kinds of shit,” Richie says. “Some of it is just the normal stuff you say to break up with someone you weren’t really dating in the first place. Like, you know, ‘This has been fun!’”

Richie affects the least honest tone he can manage, pasting on a fake smile.

i’m looking for a fic based on someone’s dream where steve was witch-y and learning from claudia (i think). i think it was 3 chapters and i definitely read it on ao3. he made eddie a good luck charm, not knowing he had actually put magic into it, because he didn’t think he had magic.
