Steve finally agrees to play DnD to appease Dustin's incessant begging, but mostly to spend more time with Eddie, who he's got a massive crush on.

Cue Steve rolling a Nat 20 when trying to persuade an inn keeper to let a band of fugitives stay the night for free.

He sees it for the opportunity it is and cranks up the full Steve Harrington charm, laying it on as thick as he can.

Eddie, face on fire but unable to tear his eyes away from Steve literally smoldering at him, spills pop all over his DM notes and has to cancel the rest of the session for reasons...

... to go home and fix his notes, of course. Definitely not to go make out in Steve's car.

i’m a big misunderstanding/miscommunication trope (when done right) kind of guy, so just hear me out:

they get eddie out of the upside down, he’s recovering in the hospital, all your good usual s4 fix-it fic hallmarks. eddie’s heart monitor starts going berserk every time steve is in the room, especially if steve gets close to him.

steve is convinced that he makes eddie uncomfortable, that the tension between their respective in-groups in high school is still a very prevalent problem for eddie, so he avoids eddie’s hospital room when possible so that eddie doesn’t have to go through any unnecessary discomfort. after all, eddie’s been through enough, and steve feels like he shouldn’t be adding to that, even if he’s starting to harbor feelings for the guy. even if it kills him a little to pretend like everything’s fine when he knows eddie can’t stand him.

eddie, however, is convinced that, because of the stupid goddamn heart monitor giving it away, steve has picked up on his utter infatuation, and that must be why steve keeps avoiding visits…right?

Valentine's Day Cupid's Ball with Eddie

I am writing a multiparter about Eddie and FemBestfriend!reader who tried to tell Eddie she liked him and wanted to go to the Cupids Ball with him but nerves make her accidentally made up a guy. Eddie offered to help her get the guy to go with her and came up with a plan just so he could spend even more time with her. She drags Eddie all over town shopping for the dance and getting their plan together.

I hope you all have dental insurance cause this one is teeth rotting sweet. They are both so in love with each other and both so dumb.

The Steddie brain worms are coming back

so little fic idea I had that I may or may not be writing:

Eddie got convicted and sent to solitary confinement for Chrissy’s murder with a death sentence

Steve got convicted and sentenced to solitary confinement with a chance at release (reason unknown at time of writing)

They find a way to communicate (there’s like a teeny tiny hole in the wall or something idk I���ve never been to prison) they get close and it’s really angsty and then Steve gets released and has to find out from the back page of a newspaper that Eddie died months later

there’s a lot to figure out plot wise but what if I just started writing it and then posted it here or ao3

Something something... Eddie and Steve are mirror images of each other. Both start as larger than life caricatures of a high school stereotype. But one is "cool, jock, athletic" and the other is "nerdy, freak, outsider"

Something something... except jocks are supposed to be 'aggressive' and nerds 'passive' but they are each the opposite. Eddie starts out as seemingly VERY aggressive (manhandles the boys, yells, makes scenes, etc). Steve starts out as relatively passive (snarky, flirty, dorky, lover-boy).

Something something... they end up flipping back to pre-conceived notions. Steve fights Jonathan, fights the demogorgon. Eddie runs away, hides in the boathouse.

Something something... weapons with nails. A baseball bat is direct fighting, aim to hurt, melee, aggressive. A trashcan lid is a shield, aim to protect, safe.

I have a rockstar!eddie x chilrens entertainer!reader story that i’ve been brainstorming with mae for the better part of like 6 or so months now that I so desperately want to write. I’ve talked about it previously, some of you may know it as Play Time.

It’s a whole celebrity AU where most of the characters are somewhat ooc and it’s a goofy, good time. Enemies to lovers, forced proximity, fake dating, eddie is a single dad who is also a rockstar, set in the 90s, yada yada.

But for some reason I’m having trouble being motivated to write it? Maybe my brain wants to keep it as a story just between mae and I.

Is that something anyone would even be interested in?
