ok so buck and tommy were both basically working the same shifts right?
buck obviously had to go to the hospital mid shift and eddie stayed back with him hence both of them were missing their shift.
tommy came as soon as his shift ended and then accompanied his boyfriend (I'm still giddy over it) buck to his loft and stayed the night to take care of him.
next day both of them were at the apartment when eddie came to treat buck and then probably left around the same time for their shifts and probably got off around the same time too which is why tommy was with buck and the 118 at the hospital waiting for denny.
then next day they went to the cemetery together for the billy boils funeral, all of this goes to show that buck and tommy try to take the same shifts or atleast as close as possible so they both can have their days off together and then spend it with each other :)))))))))
I'm so delusional and in love with them that I'll make any theory lmao
also tommy def won't fit into buck's clothes so either they went to his house to pick clothes or he keeps extra clothes at buck's place or maybe caries an overnight bag.
i just love these bratty and sassy boyfriends.
tommy is so whipped he attended a 200 yr old cowboy's funeral who cursed his beautiful boyfriend's face.
also I'm convinced that when the next day buck's face clears up it's because of what tommy said to the grave lmao
also the last scene was definitely foreshadowing. the way buck said that while looking at tommy.
also also eddie tommy friendship is so precious to me. they are our next Michael and bobby.
loved the episode so much.

I can just imagine Eddie sitting Buck down after Buck and Tommy started dating:
“Do not mess this up for me!”
“You mean for me?”
“No, I mean ME. You know how long it’s been since I’ve had a friend like him? Never!”
“Ouch!”
“Besides you, you know what I mean 🙄”

"I'm going to ask Tommy to marry me." Buck says out of the blue one random evening, sitting in Eddie's living room, spread out in the armchair, sipping a beer, eyes on the TV, where Eddie and Christopher are playing a video game. His tone is even and firm, not even a hint of hesitation, it's not a huge revelation, or even a decision he's made just now. He's been thinking about it for weeks, maybe months. He doesn't know why he says it now, it just slips out - maybe he just needed to talk to his best friend about it.
"Really?" he hears a hint of surprise in Eddie's voice, but when he looks at his best friend, he's still focused on trying to beat his son at the game. He's smiling, sparing a glance at Buck. "That's great, Buck."
"Yeah?" he breathes out, feeling even more settled now. He wasn't nervous, exactly, but still felt kind of like he did when he came out to Eddie. Like he just wanted his best friend to approve, to support him - and he had no doubt he would.
"Of course," Eddie answers easily. "You guys are perfect together, and you love each other, and if you're sure you want to spend the rest of your life with Tommy, yeah, go for it. I'm happy for you," he adds, finally looking at Buck, a soft, genuine smile on his face. Christopher uses this moment to win the game, and Eddie groans at his triumphant yell. "Aw, not fair, Buck distracted me." Both Buck and Chis laugh, while Eddie pouts for a moment, before a smile breaks through anyway.
"Well, I won." Chris shrugs with a grin. "And I think it'd be so cool if you and Tommy get married," he adds, moving his attention to Buck.
"Yeah?" Buck repeats, his smile even wider now. Having two of his favorite people not only really love his partner - Buck's pretty sure Tommy's the first one to spend so much time with all of them together, and it feeling so right - but also approve of Buck wanting to tie him into their family forever.
"Duh, Tommy's the coolest." Chris rolls his eyes. "Better lock him down while you can," he jokes, and Buck gasps in surprise. He's such a teenager.
"Wow, rude. He's not going anywhere." he shakes his head with a laugh. That much he's sure of, for the first time in his life he's not scared of getting left, of his partner getting bored or fed up. He knows Tommy's gonna be right at his side no matter what.
"Not if you put a ring on it." Eddie joins his son's teasing. Laughing, Buck reaches over to the table to pick up a chip from a bowl and throw it at Eddie, who dodges it as it lands somewhere on the couch. "Hey!"
"But seriously, you don't think it's too soon?" Buck asks after a moment, a little bit of nerves seeping into his tone. He's more than sure about wanting to marry Tommy. He's just a little scared that he's gonna freak him out. They have talked about this, about their future, what they want out of this relationship, out of life, but they never really discussed any timelines, and Buck might be a little in his head about this. Hence why he needed to talk to someone about it, probably.
"Buck, you've been together for over a year. Some people get married after less." Eddie raises an eyebrow. "When you know, you know." He shrugs, and Buck releases a breath. Because he does know. He has known for a long time now.
"So you think he'll say yes?" Buck asks, but he knows the answer before Eddie has a chance to roll his eyes with fond exasperation. Tommy loves him. He loves Tommy so much his heart wants to burst out of his chest and live in Tommy's. Tommy is his forever, he's sure of it, and he knows that when he asks, and it's going to be very soon, he'll get a positive answer.
"He'll say yes." Eddie says with a small shake of his head and a wide smile. "Now, two important questions from me: who's gonna be your best man, and do you need help planning and picking out a ring?"

"You need to relax." Eddie rolls his eyes. "You have nothing to worry about, Buck."
"What if I pick the wrong on? What if he hates it?" Buck turns to Eddie. "What if I'm making a huge mistake and he - " Eddie puts his hand on Buck's shoulder and forces Buck to look into his eyes like he's done so many times before. "Don't be an idiot. I mean, I get that that's why we love you - Tommy included - but don't be an idiot. You're forgetting, I'm his friend too."
Buck turns back to the glass counter full of rings. "Yeah, yeah. You're right. And we've talked about this. We both want this. It's just a matter of when, right?" "Right. Now, which one?" Buck bites his lip. He knows this isn't the most important decision he'll ever have to make, but right now it feels like it is. "I don't know. That's why I brought you." "I did not come here to pick out your boyfriend's engagement ring. I came here to make sure you didn't chicken out and leave the store without buying one." Eddie bumps his shoulder against Buck's. "Come on, Buck. He's going to say yes. This is just a formality."
"But it matters, you know. I want it to be perfect."
"I know you do. You're Buck."
Buck sucks in a breath and looks down at the case. He spots the perfect ring tucked in the corner - not plain but nothing too fancy or elaborate that would feel out of place on Tommy. It's perfect. He points it out and says "that one."
Eddie takes it upon himself to wave one of the sales people over so that Buck can get it packed up and ready to go and by the time they leave the shop there's a small velvet box tucked inside Buck's coat pocket. "You know, this doesn't guarantee that I'll be your best man. Tommy might win."
"Fuck you, Diaz. I locked that down nearly a decade ago." Buck snorts. "You're not getting out of throwing me a fucking killer bachelor party."
"You're so sure of yourself." "Obviously."
Eddie rolls his eyes. "Maybe he'll say no." "Stop!"
Eddie throws his head back and laughs. "Get in the truck." Once they're both settled, seatbelts on, and Eddie starts up the engine he turns to Buck and looks at him seriously. "And Buck, don't chicken out. You're going to ask that man to marry you, and he's going to say yes, and you're going to get the happy ending you've always wanted."
"Yeah." Buck nods. "Yeah, you're right. I know you're right."
"I know I'm right."
As they drive off, Buck just stares out the window and can't help but smile. He feels light.

Why are people so insistent on claiming Tim was lying when he says the ‘no Buck was actually into Tommy?’
Like he says it here;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And someone on twitter tried to tell me this was him still saying Buck was confused? Like I’m sorry but if you watch the ep objectively it’s all about Tommy. Buck wants to hang out with him, he felt he clicked with him, he wants to see him. I understand you can have your own interpretation but please don’t try say that the creator has a different one than what he intended. Eddie was the misdirect, the twist was ‘oh I guess it was you.’ And Buck and the audience had that realisation at the same time.

TK: so, what's fun to do around LA?
eddie: there's the santa monica pier?
buck: no
eddie: there's this really nice cafe on fifth-
buck: definitely not
TK: are you okay?
tommy: he was on the pier with christopher when the tsunami hit, and the cafe where eddie mentioned is on the street where he was crushed by the ladder truck when it exploded
buck: we love trauma!
TK: how about the zoo?
buck: YES! see TK gets it!

Give me Steve, Eddie, and Robin at a bar on a Friday night.
They've had a few drinks, and a shot or two when a song comes on, and Steve immediately jumps to his feet with an, "Oh shit!!"
It's Madonna's Get Into the Groove and for a moment Robin and Eddie think Steve is in pain, that he hates the song as is going to ask the DJ to change it.
Except Steve waltzes onto the dance floor, right into the center.
There aren't too many others dancing, it's early still, barely nine in the evening but the spot lights are on and the DJ flicks on the multicolor strobe as Steve parks himself on the dance floor.
Robin laughs and wishes she had brought the disposable camera instead of leaving it in her junk drawer at home.
Eddie meanwhile rolls his eyes, and pretends not to notice the tightness of Steve's jeans or how the light catches the flecks of gold in his hair and eyes.
He's been attempting to hide his pathetic little crush for awhile now, complaining to Robin every chance he gets when Steve does something particularly charming or handsome.
She tells him, as sagely as she can muster, to grow a pair and do something about it already.
But how can he, Steve was, well, Steve...lovely caring, hot as hell, Steve.
What chance did Eddie have?
So he sits there, miserable, nursing his beer, letting his eyes trail after Steve while Robin giggles beside him.
They've never seen him dance, it's bar, they're drunk, the worst that could happen is he makes an ass out of himself and they all go home with a great new story to tell the party later.
God Robin really wishes she brought her camera with her.
But then Steve is moving and he's fluid, never missing a beat. It's some kind of choreography, intentional and practiced movements that wouldn't be out of place in a music video. Eddie and Robin look at each other because, what the fuck, where did this come from??
And people are cheering and whooping, strangers scattered here and there sitting off of the dance floor. There's a sense of comradery, like they're all witness to something and being allowed to share and indulge in this little impromptu performance, but all too soon the song is over and Steve heads back to his seat with a small round of applause and a blinding smile pulling at his flushed cheeks.
"Steve, what the fuck was that??" Robin blurts out before Steve can even sit. Eddie nods, a little dazed, beside her and tears at the paper label on his beer bottle, maybe if he can keep his hands occupied he can keep them to himself.
"What was what?" Steve breathes out as he hops onto the stool beside them, Robin in the middle.
Robin's mouth falls open as her face scrunches into something exasperated but fond, "What was--that! The dancing!"
"Oh, that," Steve huffs with a lazy smile, he leans his elbow on the sticky wood bar and waves at the bartender to signal for another gin and tonic, "I used to help Carol with her choreography for cheer".
Eddie pinches his thigh below the bartop and chews the inside of his cheek as the image of Steve in the Hawkins High cheer uniform begins to solidify in his minds eye, fuck.
Robin elbows Eddie without looking, somehow reading his mind, and throws her hands out, beckoning Steve to continue because that isn't nearly enough information.
"Yeah, she'd come up with routines and you know, they are meant to be done with more than one person, and I mean she and I were friends before Tommy so," he shrugs and smiles at the bartender as they pass him the drink, "I dunno, it was fun, and I remember that one the most".
"Plus," he says with a smirk, "Carol always said the best thing about dance is that you can tell who appreciates the performance and who appreciates the person doing it," he winks as Robin scoffs and calls him gross, but Steve isn't looking at Robin.
Eddie swallows as molten heat creeps up his neck and over his ears, the urge to hide his face, run for the door, melt into the floor, is immense.
But Steve doesn't move his gaze, he smiles softly at Eddie and winks again over Robin's head which she promptly drops into her hands.
"I'm surrounded by horny idiots," she grumbles but the words are muffled in the din of the bar and her own hands as Steve tips his head back to the dance floor and holds out his hand for Eddie to take.

Once Buck is out to everyone I’d love to see Chimney, Hen and Eddie teasing him about how bad he’s got it for Tommy like they did for Chim and Maddie.
The whole firefam just loving and supporting them both but teasing them is so cute to me.

Third wheel Eddie is gonna be so good!
Just picture this, Buck and Tommy are sitting on the sofa and Eddie is just ranting about something and he plops himself down right in the middle of them
Buck and Tommy just lean back and look at each other behind Eddie's head
Or
Buck comes back from the bar with drinks and Eddie is now in his seat next to Tommy, arm slung around the back of his chair and deep in some story he's relaying to him
Or
They're laying in bed and Eddie's sleeping on the sofa, but then he's having some crisis, sneaks through the hallway and opens their bedroom door
They both sit up, bleary eyed as Eddie slowly slides in between them to tell them about it

No, no you don’t understand. I need bestie eddie&tommy shenanigans where they have to travel somewhere together for some reason and they end up having to stay at a place that all the locals keep telling them is haunted and they’re like yeah yeah right whatever. And ofc all the craziest/spookiest things keep happening until they both finally see something and they make a pact never to tell Buck.
They get back and Buck asks them how everything went and they’re all just:
Oh, you know, pretty uneventful actually.
Yupp, standard roadtrip!

you're my future, baby
bucktommy rating: T words: 7.2k summary: Buck and Tommy have a conversation about their future together.
[read on Ao3]
In Buck's defense, he doesn’t mean to ask this question right then. It just slips out. He's lying in the big, strong arms of his very hot, amazing boyfriend, both sweaty and still breathless. He’s blissed out and fucked out, and so content and still dizzy after a mindblowing orgasm. So he doesn’t have a lot of control over his thoughts and words right now. So he surprises even himself when the question flies out of him. “Do you want to have children?” he asks casually, absentmindedly playing with their intertwined fingers where they’re splayed on his chest, as he lays on his back, Tommy pressed to his side. “What?” Tommy asks, surprise and even shock evident in his voice, and only then Buck realizes what he said, and he feels his eyes widen and face starts to burn, and he stares at the ceiling, but feels Tommy’s gaze on the side of his head. “I- I- I mean, like ever, some day, down the line- not like- I mean, you know, I- I just thought we should talk about it if- if- if it’s going where I hope it’s going- because I- we’ve been together for a while and I hope that- I think I-” he starts rambling and stumbling over his words, panicking just a little bit. Fuck, they’ve been doing so good the past few months, it’s honestly his best relationship he’s been in, and now he goes and screws it up by being too much, too soon, too serious- “Sorry, this is fast, I probably just freaked you out, sorry-” “Evan.” Tommy’s free hand lands on his cheek, and he gently turns Buck’s head towards himself. He meets Tommy’s soft gaze, and relaxes a little instantly. Tommy doesn’t look freaked out, just surprised, but there’s a hint of a smile dancing on his lips. “Hey, it’s okay. You just surprised me a little, that’s all. None of my relationships really got to the stage of talking about it, and if I tried, they freaked out. So I didn’t want to bring it up too soon, but you’re right, it is something to discuss. What spurred this on right now?” he asks, thumb gently moving along Buck’s cheek.

“TOMMY DIDNT DRESS UP FOR PARTY HE DOSNT MATCH BUCKS ENERGY”
WRONG!!! what if i say buck and eddie’s costume wasn’t that much 80’s either??
walk with me here to clarify something.
everyone except ravi is older than buck and eddie. they all grew up in 80’s. tommy and maddie are literally 80’s babies yet NO ONE guessed these two idiots costume and apparently miami vice was a big deal back then and we KNOW tommy is a film nerd. so i guess he at least would know?
these two dumb asses thought they cooked their costumes but they were at the same level of 80’s-ness (lol) as tommy’s shirt wa*gun shot*

yknow what. tommy was buck's most functional relationship to date actually. yeah it wasn't the most exciting he had ever had and they didn't click that much but tommy was not about to move to another country or scared of what it meant to date a guy who risks his life for a living, he didn't grow to resent buck because they were fundamentally incompatible, he basically said "i would have loved to move in with you down the line but I can't because /you/ don't really want to. you just don't know it yet." because buck has misconstructed the idea of a romantic partner down to the bones of "i need someone that's my girlboyfriend because everyone has a girlboyfriend and it's all im missing to be complete." except he already takes everything that a partner could give you from eddie. a home, reassurance, family, someone who understands him and cares for him, someone he calls when he's down, someone who takes him to the hospital and sits with him and tells him when he's being stupid. that's eddie. buck knows it's eddie. so everything every other love interest does for buck will simply bounce off the walls of his beautifully insane brain and he can never understand what's wrong. why did tommy leave him? he didn't ask for much. (unaware that's the exact point). he's not looking for a partner he's looking for a paper-thin placeholder. imagine what it will feel like once he realizes he can just put the right name to the man who's been there all along and call it a day.
