There has been much colluding between @tachyon-omlette and I regarding our OCs, Sandman and Eda of Unicron (as well as Eda's brothers Ethos and Logos)

And such colluding has resulted in Sandman kinda. EATING Sideways (as well as being recreated as a Unicronian Transformer thanks to Eda)

He's been dilfified. Grandpafication. He's also now haunted by Every Single Thing Sideways has done in the past and Boy That's Not Good For Sandman's Mental Health. But hey at least Ethos is kept in line. Mostly.

Destined Love

Sometimes, the multiverse has a sense of humor.

It had been many, many millennia since Eye-Deku was mated to Mortila. The true crossover of Dimensions had passed on, fizzling out in the way Dimensions do when they get too old. A natural, peaceful death, almost like a video game server being shut down for good. Eye-Deku had had time to mourn, then moved on. He ran this Sector of the multiverse, after all. And while he trusted most of the EDA to be self-sufficient, the Alliance existed because of newbies and unusual gods needing to be safe, so he couldn’t stay out too long.

But his core was that of a knowledge god. So when a new Dimension was born in the same spot, he went to it. Lives and reincarnations went by, but he almost immediately saw a familiar pattern. There was no Unicron or Primus here, yet it seemed like a certain beast-like Cybertronian species existed here anyway… Sabers?

The Eye kept an eye out, but just like Kalfa Mortila ages before, these guys were sneaky. He and the Myzune could not find them. But the Eye kept an “Eye” out…

Then the age of Quirks came about. Eye-Deku was reborn, but his birth parents couldn’t handle the financial strain so abandoned him. Which meant Krion happily jumped in to re-raise his son with joy. Despite running around the space known as the Backrooms, Eye-Deku lived a happy life. And, of course, when it was time, he applied to UA to become a Hero.

And it was on his first day when he finally saw a familiar face that tugged at his heartstrings.

Ron stopped in his tracks as soon as he heard the commotion from within the meeting room he was just about to pass. Looks like whoever was inside was not doing a good job at whatever they were doing.

Which had already peaked his interest, but as soon as a person he assumed to be their 'special guest' stormed out of the room, the Cybertronian in disguise found himself even more intrigued. And so, he walked over to the new face.

"Rough day with the higher ups?" He asked with a smile on his face.

If there was one thing Record hated more than having worked as a passenger plane, it’s waiting on base while everyone else was doing something. After all, with their higher ups being hurled up in their meeting room to discuss something important with their ‘special guest’, there wasn’t much for him, or better said his holo-avatar Ron Cord, to do.

And so, ‘Ron’ was currently just wandering around base. Interacting with some of the newer recruits, before continuing his merry way.

oh HELL yes I love mecha pilot tf aus. already the quintesson kaiju fights (& quintesson kaiju designs) are forming in my brain and I am SO excited to see where it all goes, excited for that sweet sweet lore. drillburst lookin REALLY cool /gen

(on a sidenote you coming up with this mecha pilot au is an odd coincidence considering only yesterevening I came up with a similar idea regarding Eda in a just-humanformers setting. mayhaps I ought to do some sketching - many thanks for the push /lh /gen)

Ty!!! feel free to design quintesson stuff, lorewise they're either monsters (big and small) that they tamed, or other giant robot constructs. I haven't gotten into the primus/unicron lore yet but I'm thinking they're of supernatural origin, so Eda would be quite the anomaly among the human pilots if you were to keep their unicronic origin!

I'm thinking of giving drill's backstory in this au a spin, regarding overlord. They might hate each other but they might've worked together at one point too :)

technically speaking, now that I consider it, the phenomenon that generates an eda is usually an internal one, and not an external offer.

in some branches of the multiverse - though we will keep in line with the spiders and scorpions - there will on occasion be one arthropod that goes mad, removing and consuming the venom of its fellows, enduring endless bites and stings as it goes along; the emotions will persist without their venom, still biting and stinging albeit with lesser effect. eventually, the crazed creature, intoxicated with agony, twists and condenses itself (a la Animorphs) into a terrified child in the same image as the man holding a bat.

if it seeks comfort from him, it will be a useless endeavor no matter the outcome; it knows that itself is dangerous, containing all those toxins, but it yearns to soothe its agonies through either consumption or fellowship - whichever provides the most relief. it will form an armor made from its surroundings and twice as dense, attempting to keep itself to itself; in doing so, it is forever separated from that from which it originated, and amongst temporary reprieves is damned to suffer endlessly henceforth.

congration ! this is your Pathos (common name: Eda) ! he will scream and cry and eat your table scraps

A god is made of components, just as we are; but every component is grand in ethereal ways, as if our organs could think for themselves in complex, detailed thought. The sort of thought that confuses the thinker, I mean.

Any piece can branch off. Any spine, any thought, any blood vessel. Primus lets this happen happily, because he's a lonely thing that wants to feel good. Unicron kills most of these branched-off half-selves, because it is lonely and hates feeling good.

Things slip by. Of course they do. Then those things get a name and then they start thinking of themselves as being unlike where they came from and...

Well. That's a Unicronian offspring. It kills most, lest they threaten its throne, but things still slips by. Always slipping by.

this entire blog is gonna be a semi-dedicated thing for my oc, Eda (aka Pathos of Unicron). I'm very new to tumblr rp stuff & may not take it entirely seriously (I do shit for fun) but if you want to interact here's some rules & nav shit below:

there's liable to be foul language and references to sex/innuendo (nothing explicit), as well as themes of violence, torture, and abuse. this shit may not always be present but Eda has not led a peaceful life in any way, and I'll tag this stuff as needed

open to interact w canon or OCs as long as you note in your interaction ask what continuity your character is from and/or interacting through (ex. [insert intro line w/e] [IDW]). there's a lot of versions of Eda running around & while I can probably look at your blog & extrapolate it'd be way easier on me if you just made it plain

MEANT TO RESPOND TO THIS SOONER but I believe they’d get along! Ozzy can pretty much get along with anyone but Eda would intrigue him, being a splinter off of Unicron. I can definitely see the two talking about space and probably traveling out IN space to look at space stuff if Eda is capable of space travel

He's a 100ft tall interdimensional traveling archivist of sorts! He travels through space and realities to listen to the stories of many individuals for he finds any story worth not only listening to, but to remember.  He's a calm, endlessly patient and understanding being. Ozzy likes to have long talks and be in comfortable silence with company. He can also get very philosophical, and is a very big astronomy nerd. 

He also turns into a space station looking hehe

Talking with Tachy about how eating Dark Energon could affect a Cybertronian in TFP sure enough was fun! And it lead to many more ideas that involved Flinch witnessing the destruction of his home world, being forced to ingest Dark Energon, because a group of Decepticon scientists were tasked to find out how much harm it could do, getting adopted by two Minicoms, escaping to earth, befriending Breakdown, and befriending a group of six Vehicons that decided to ditch the war and just live on earth. (Said Vehicons also end up kidnapping Ratchet at one point, becaude he's a medic and Flinch needs medical attention.)

All the while Eda helps him with his painful recovery.

So, a fun time over all.

The prickle eases to a more comfortable level. His radiation buffers give him a lower read back. Optimus slowly draws his pad from subspace again. Making sure that the left over radiation won't interfere.

When his pad boots up with a minimum of problem he vents softly.

Flickering his gaze to the other.

Assessing him.

Then he scrolls through the scripture. Gnawing his lower lip before he settles on one of his favorites. Though it's still controversial, Optimus loves it.

His voice wavers a bit-

" And Megatronus came to Solus- in his servos a metal unlike any other.

For he had found it amid the deepest dark, his realm in all things and only outdone by his cunning brother Liege. And unto her he gifted it, for her to make anything she might desire. For he had heard her lamentations that no hammer she forged could contain her fire.

With love he gifted it. For though he was darkness the love he felt for Solus was the bright light of the first love. Only outshone by the love of Primus-

This is the love of Conjunx Eternia, and whence the 4 rites come. I. Which we hold our spark light to the light of our creation and combined create the sacred bond."

The eda of Solus and Megatronus always made him sad. But he wonders if Megatronus, cursed by Unicron, had truly desired to betray the others. Or had he, Entropy and Freedom, merely desired to do as his nature dictated?

Would that he could know!

He watches his ardent listener carefully. Fins cocked shy and wary.

"You are so very close. It's good, to see another taken with the task of remembering the speeches. Well met, my Prime."

Optimus feels him before he hears him.

That is, his frame pruckles like he's working in space. Under the glare of nearby stars, as the roses around him wilt dramatically. Optimus is glad he never Uninstalled the radiation scrubs in his systems.

Though he has to quickly remove the fine mesh veil.

It puddles in silver pools on the ground.

" ...Hello? It's, good to meet you as well." Quickly the pad goes into subspace. He really doesn't want to lose his notes!

Optics flicker as he works through the protective filters.

The other is...

Bright.

Very bright.

" But you can just call me Optimus. May I ask your name?"

Quintus, known to some religious sects as the Light of Knowledge. Scientifically minded, there is plenty to know about this prime.

Read it below~

Quintus was one of the 13 primes, and was known to be very science-orientated. They were naturally inquisitive, going as far as to question the very nature of things, though he quickly learned to keep those thoughts to himself.

Quintus was close with the later primes, notably Liege, Amalgamous, Megatronus, and Thirteen, as well as Alchemist, who shared a similar wonder of the world.

Quintus would often go on adventures for extended periods of time, recording everything they encountered before giving it to Alpha Trion. Quintus was not alone on these trips, either. Their companion, a strange bot by the name of Eda, was always by their side.

Despite the origin of Eda, Quintus didn't mind him. Quintus actually cares quite a bit for the bot. Before Thirteen and Megatronus died, Quintus and Eda were, essentially, dating in human terms. Though after the two aforementioned primes died, Quintus was quick to flee Cybertron, not having a chance to tell Eda.

Quintus was later captured by the Quintessons. Recognizing the weight of the name of a prime, the Quintessons would use the prime's name as a basis when invading Cybertron. They would also steal the Emberstone from Quintus.

The Emberstone was also Quintus' spark.

The Quintessons slowly killed Quintus.

Though the prime wished to find his lost love. He requested to Primus to reincarnate him, he didn't care which form, and he was fine with starting anew with no memories, but he wished to be able to recognize his love.

Eda of Unicron belongs to my friend @tachyon-omlette! Xaer really creative and I absolutely love xaer ideas. Xaer also really good at drawing robots and have a fic for xaer OC, though set in TFP. Go check xaer out!
