Listen, I don't want to be annoying or yuck anybody yum or tell people how to crate their characters but some of the designs I saw for eah characters based on any of a thousands and one night stories where oriental as fuck like, I just wanted to see what other people came up with for these characters.

some of you should start interacting with more visuals for Arabs that isn't Disney's Aladdin because that movie is Hella racist and oriental and fetishizing

Ever After High, but make it a PIDW AU.

Imagine how fucked up it would be if Shen Jiu is up there doing the book signing ceremony that seals his destiny of becoming the next 'Shen Qingqiu', and the mirrors display him getting thrown away by his martial siblings at the trial, and his limbs being torn off and other despicable tortures, and being brought down so low that your humanity is stripped away from you, all for an audience to see. And they cheer. The crowd is ecstatic, perhaps even more so than when his father, Shen Qingqiu, was put on trial.

I had a dream a few nights ago where I was watching a completely original episode of Ever After High but with a few additional characters I'd never seen before. This, here, was one of them - Sera Phimsical, daughter of the Seraphim (tale "The Three Green Twigs"). I had to draw her and I am so unbelievably happy with how she came out. She is a Rebel and apparently her theme song is "I'm Here" from Sonic Frontiers.

Sketches of my new EAH OC. Daughter of Cú Chulainn

Okay, I'm going to attempt to design Shahrzad's daughter, Leila Bint Shahrzad. (A quick name explanation: Leila means “night” in Arabic, and bint just means “daughter of,” and Shahrzad is obviously her mother.) First, let me paint you a picture of the personality I'm envisioning for her.

For starters, she doesn't attend Ever After High; she goes to a different school called A Thousand and One High. So, her destiny works a bit differently than the other characters. In that everyone in her school stories depend on the success of her story, she is both a narrator and a character in her own story. Her destiny is to marry her Shahryar and delay her execution for a thousand and one nights by telling the stories of everyone in her school until Shahryar grows fond of her and changes his mind about killing her.

Even though she loves all of her stories and has memorized the plots of all of them—her favorites being the sci-fi ones (in case you didn't know, yes, there are some sci-fi stories within the Thousand and One Nights)—she is not confident in her abilities as a storyteller. Even though she's been practicing ever since she was a child, she's terrified of letting her mother down, especially with her mother being the headmaster of her school. While she's clever, quick-witted, and resourceful, she is terrified of the heavy burden her destiny entails. “What if I'm not good enough?” “What if I mess up some of the stories and they go poof because of me?” “The fate of over 200 stories rests on my shoulders to keep them going.” “If I mess up a single story, will that end it all?” she lays awake at night, horrified by the weight of responsibility on her.

She lives in this state for a long time until one day she hears about a girl who refused to follow her destiny without her story going poof at a school far away called Ever After High. She then feels inspired to go to that school and do the same thing as the girl she heard about. She asks her mother if she can attend that school, and her mother agrees since the headmaster of Ever After High is an old friend of hers. She hopes he can set her daughter back on the right track, so she allows her daughter to go to Ever After High along with her best friend, Noor Ad-Din, daughter of Ala Ad-Din. (I refuse to spell it the fucked up way Disney spells it; like write it as the two words that it is. I could rant about this for days, but I'll spare you. I also split it to make Ad-Din the last name. Oh and Noor means “light” in Arabic like light from a lamp.)

That's what I have so far. I'm hoping to create a design that I like and one that is as detailed as a real EAH design.

I used the same EAH character maker as I did here.

Constance, or Connie, is a swan adopted by a family of ducks. At a young age, her biological family left her behind, leaving her adopted family to take care of her. Although she's different, she loves her family, and they love her just the same. Her younger siblings annoy her and drive her crazy, but she wouldn't give them up for anything.

She's the daughter of the "ugly duckling," or at least is destined to be the "ugly duckling." As such, she struggles with self-esteem and body issues. In spell-ementary school, she was bullied for her grey feathers and young swan-like appearance. Kids could be pretty cruel. Unlike Duchess Swan, she cannot turn into a swan or have a swan form. Headmaster Grimm says that she must learn to love herself.

Her BFFAs are Penelope Pea, daughter of the Princess and the Pea, and Malita Midas, granddaughter of King Midas. Essentially, they are the only two people she spends time with; she will occasionally hang out with Earnest Charming (but only when Penny is around.) When not helping an underclassmen with their legacy, she's off somewhere by a pond or in the ballet studio.

Duchess Swan was assigned as her legacy mentee; neither of them liked to talk about it and instead just hung out in silence. Often, that silence is broken by some classical music. Connie sees Duchess as a younger sister and, in a way, wants to protect her. During school, when she tries to say hello, she is usually brushed off with a cold shoulder, and it doesn't exactly bother her all that much because many of the kids at Ever After High have reputations to keep.

Connie loves fashion and jewelry. She adorns herself in feathers and silver to distract from her lack of self-confidence. As much as she doesn't want to participate in her story and regrets signing the Storybook of Legends, she can't stop what's already set in motion. It's still being determined if her story will end when she realizes her worth or when she graduates. The only problem she has with the ugly duckling story is that she'll be seen as an ugly duckling. Something that kids had taunted her with for so long.
