Things I want the youths to know

You're missing the mark by zeroing in on emo and early 00's pop punk. Third wave ska and melodic punk was musically similar but way better. It's come to my understanding that the youths have largely never heard of Reel Big Fish and some haven't even heard of ska - but let me tell you as I menacingly shake my cane: Blink 182 is nothing - NOTHING - when compared to Reel Big Fish (not to mention Catch 22, Blue Meanies, Voodoo Glow Skulls, The Vandals, etc.)

Also, if you're into the late 90's/early 00's nostalgia, you should know that CAKE is legitimately the greatest band ever. They've made 6 flawless albums, choose one at random and listening to it all the way through is guaranteed to be a transcendental experience. ALSO Andrew WK's "I Get Wet" is the best album ever made for youths looking to go out and do youthful things and make incredible memories they'll cling to when their bodies stop working so good.

For all of the talk about "Outlaw Country" there's been a stunning lack of talk about the song "Duncan and Brady". This is a song about a guy (Duncan) who basically creates an old western commune, forces the town's one cop (Brady) to go all the way on the other side of town away from everybody else, subsequently isolating the cop to the point that the cop exclusively talks to himself and wants to go arrest someone so he can have somebody to whom he can converse. When Brady comes to Duncan's house while Duncan and his pals are engaged in some illegal gambling, so Duncan and his pals load up a motherfucking cannon loaded up with "potato chips and poker chips and paper plates and paper plates and pickled chicken lips and spinach and used cars and loose change and..." etc. (notably including dynamite), and they shot Brady the cop with it and "splattered him all over the east side of town". Then for good measure, they call his wife to tell her that Brady's been splattered all over the east side of town, but she was having fun doing her own things and didn't care at all.

On ^^^ I should note I'm going off of Tom Rush's version off of his 2006 album "Trolling For Owls" which is absolutely indisputably the greatest country album of the 21st century. I think other versions of "Duncan and Brady" suggest the murder involved significantly less frivolity, which subsequently makes those other versions less good.

Listen to the album "Destroy What Destroys You" by Against All Authority - if it's not my favorite album of all time, it's close. Another one of those albums where there aren't any bad songs, there aren't any not-great songs.

Oh Cass! 💔

The Cop Idol Storyline/Cass' murder was one of those rare PM storylines that was properly paced and shocking - not least given the time of the year (Christmas) and the light hearted fun of the Cop Idol/Christmas party in contrast with Cass' kidnap attack, the girls getting annoyed at Cass for not turning up and what was actually happening to her at time. Poor Cass being tied up, literally waiting and even begging to know why she was going to die. Poor poor girl 😭😭 (Could have done without even more of the Carl/Craig/Luke/Kerry rubbish during it though!)

Beth’s win in Total Drama Action is miles better than Duncan’s.

She won two crucial late-game immunities back-to-back in the Final 5 and 4, eliminated the biggest competition in the game (Courtney), had the sense to jump from alliances that were a sinking ship (abandoning Justin with Lindsay, leaving Courtney’s girl alliance), and played a stealthy under-the-radar social game by never having a vote cast against her the entire season OR being in the bottom two despite attending the most elimination ceremonies that season.

Her lowkey game isn’t appreciated because it’s not entertaining, but that doesn’t make it any less impressive. Despite her flawed actions (cheating on Brady with Harold, calling Lindsay a “tanorexic” in a moment of anger then immediately offering her a friendship bracelet), she maintained a reputation on the island as sweet, non-threatening, and likable.

Had Leshawna, Lindsay, and Trent’s jury votes been counted by Chris (production rigged the voting by not using their votes), it wouldn’t have mattered if Beth got 3 or 4 votes in e it her alternate ending: Those 3 extra votes (undoubtedly pro-Beth or anti-Duncan in Trent’s case) would’ve given her the edge in a 6-4 or 7-3 jury vote, and she would’ve won regardless.

The flack she gets for her “boring” game/presence in the season reminds me of Danni’s win in Survivor: Guatemala. Danni played an equally lowkey game, relying on her social connections and late-game immunity wins (especially in the Final 3) to get her to the finale. Opposite a fan-favorite player (Stephenie LaGrossa) who had bullying tendencies on the season, her win was underappreciated.

Put some respect on her name!

Rohan has panic attacks and Savannah pulled several all nighters to research how to comfort someone during a panic attack

Savannah was hesitant at first, because she has bad experience with relationships (Duncan), so they took it slow (I mean on the emotional side of the relationship, it's pretty much canon that she isn't shy on the physical aspect)

Rohan is the little spoon

Savannah made him spend time with Gigi (because there has to be at least one family member that likes him) and they actually got close, he's Gigi's second brother atp (and also the co-founder of Brady hate club, the other co-founder being Gray)

He changed the rules of the Devil's Mercy to be with her (because the old rules said he has to be celibate to take over but he didn't want to leave her)

They watch horror movies together, they both love them

She found out that he secretly loves rom-coms (his guilty pleasure, CHANGE MY MIND) and never let him live it down

This is basically canon, but still, Savannah is a top

They argue a lot and I mean a lot, but it's always resolved before going to sleep, because they hate going to bed angry

He loves to lay with his head on her lap

He's tough and sarcastic when they're with other people, but he's like a lovesick puppy when he's with her

Duncan tried to get back in contact with Savannah and Rohan broke his ribs

He takes her last name when they get married (I mean, he doesn't really have his own anyways, but even if he did, he would still take hers)

Rohan is a girl dad. They have two girls in future and they're the light of his life

He loves Savannah's hair, like, he'll always find an excuse to touch it. He'd brush it, braid it and all that stuff. Savannah is convinced he was a hairdresser in his past life

They had a long distance relationship until she graduated college, but then she moved in London and they started living together

She spent several months trying to convince him to get a cat until he finally gave in

He actually ended up being the cat's favourite and he's always rubbing it in Savannah's face

Not really a savannahxrohan but he fights with Grayson on the daily. It used to be more serious, but now it's more of a joke, "keeping up the ritual", as Rohan likes to say when someone asks

duncney week day 2: behind the scenes

we never get to see what duncan and courtney get up to after beth wins, so here's a taste.

"And the winner of Total Drama Action and one MILLION dollars is...BETH!"

The crowd erupted into cheers as Beth leapt to her feet, flapping her hands and looking on the verge of passing out, but Duncan stayed silent, slouching in the throne. He liked Beth, he really did. She was a good person. But it still hurt to lose out on the money...for the second season in a row.

The apparently real Brady was hugging his girlfriend around the middle so hard, he was lifting Beth off the floor, while Leshawna, Harold, Tyler, and Lindsay chanted Beth's name. Chris had barely thrown Duncan a second glance when it came down to it - the minute he'd read out the last vote, no one was paying attention to him anymore. Good, he thought. I like it that way. No cameras in my face to film my humiliation.

No one was paying him attention anymore...except of course, she was. The only person still seated, her beautiful face stained with blue ink - Duncan could just imagine her in the voting booth, impatiently shaking the pen and crying out with frustration when it inevitably exploded. Suddenly desperate to be on his feet, he stood from the too-narrow throne, moving over to her and offering his hand. 

"Wanna get out of here?" he asked.

"I don't usually go out with losers," she replied, lips twitching at the corners. She laced her fingers with his.

"Yet here I am asking you out." He pulled her up, brushing the hair out of her face, his knuckles coming away smudged and blue. "Seriously. Dinner or something? Let's get out of here."

Courtney grimaced. "The ink'll never wash off in time. You can come by my hotel room. We could order room service."

Duncan smiled at her, deciding he liked that better than being out in public. "First time we see each other in weeks and you're already trying to get me alone in bed with you."

"Shut up." She swatted his shoulder, but there was no real venom to it. "Come on, lover-boy. I need a shower. BY MYSELF," she quickly clarified, as Duncan opened his mouth to ask if he could join her.

Courtney's hotel room looked like no one was renting it out at all. The sheets were turned down, the desk pristine, Courtney's suitcase neatly tucked into a corner by the bed. It was very her, but Duncan had a flash of the rock n' roll challenge, the way she'd utterly trashed that set. He kind of wanted to see her do it again. He kind of wanted to help her.

He found a rerun of the third A Nightmare On Elm Street, settling back on the bed (sneakers still on, of course) while she hopped in the shower. The one girl was getting her head sucked into the TV box, and Duncan watched, half-interested. He'd seen it before, of course; it was just noise, to keep him distracted from his loss.

When Courtney finally emerged from the bathroom (shit, but the girl took long showers), her face was scrubbed pink and raw, the faintest trace of ink remaining under her skin. Duncan snorted, about to make a teasing remark, but somewhere in the middle of staring at the long brown legs coming out from under Courtney's towel, the words died on his lips.

"What are you looking at?" She gave him a once-over and wrinkled her nose. "I think you need a wash too, after that finale."

"Or," said Duncan, opening his arms in welcome. "You could just get over here and kiss me."

"You'd like that, wouldn't you," Courtney snarked, rolling her eyes. "But what makes you think I want - Gah! Duncan!"

He had grabbed her wrist and pulled her on top of him, grinning up at her like a cat. She hadn't blow-dried her hair yet. It was dark and limp around her shoulders, but Duncan didn't care. "If I had won the million," he told her, leaning in close so his lips brushed her ear and she shivered. "I would've spent so much of it on you."

"That's..." She bit her lip, flushing, and he knew he had her. "Well, you didn't win. So that hardly means anything now, does it?"

He shrugged. Somehow, that didn't seem to matter as much anymore. "I said if."

Her mouth opened like she was about to say something, but she seemed to think better of it, hesitating slightly before lowering her face to kiss him, long and slow. Their make-outs were so often harried and slightly destructive - somehow, he'd forgotten how incredible her other kisses could be.

She broke off first, nipping at his upper lip one last time before saying, "Now..."

"Yeah, Princess?" Whatever she was about to ask him, he would do it, no second thoughts. He would do anything, for her.

"Go take a shower or I'm kicking you out of my room," she told him, and he laughed. And so did she.

I used the Sims 4 Genetic System to make TD kid OCs. Why?

I don’t flipping know.

So I have Sims of TD characters. Not all. But I did this cause why not. And I regret my choices cause some of these kids… ugh.

I did a girl AND a boy to make things even. And I randomized their names so… idk someone on the Internet finds this and used these A.I generated characters as OCs.

I really don’t care if you do.

Owen & Izzy

So these are my sims of these characters. So you know what they look like.

Their faces are just… NOT that appealing…

I mean Owen and Izzy aren’t TRADITIONALLY ‘pretty’ people. Still.

Why is the boy so muscular? Where did he get that from?

I think their outfits are suitable though. They both got the white going on, and the girls shirt looks like something Izzy would wear.

Izzy seems to have the dominant genes when it comes to hair. They both became redheads.

The face structure just ruins it for me.

I randomized it; The girls name is Madison. The boys name is Elias.

Since Owen canonically had a crush on Justin, I’m including it. It’s not a popular ship but since we’re here.

I LOVE this Sim’s look. Idk where she got blue hair from. But I LOVE her look. I love the jewelry, I love that it matches, I love her outfit, she’s really pretty.

The boy is… okay. Could’ve been a lot worse. I can see he inherited Owen’s messy hairstyle. I actually think the blue eyes look great for him. He loses me on body proportions.

I expected the Owen kids to be on the chubbier side, but no.

Personally I love my Gwen Sim. I think this is just such a good design and I’m proud of myself for it.

Beth💚

Married to Brady couple years during her second year in college and still going on strong

A mother to two kids one girl(6)and one boy(9)

Named the girl Lily(Beth wanted her daughter Lindsay but she knew Lindsay would be confused so she decided to make name her daughter that sounds like Lindsay) and named the boy Brandon

Is a stay at home mother

Originally she wanted to be a relationship counselor (since she felt good helping other people’s relationship problems) but she got pregnant during the last months in college and decided to be a stay at home mom

She still want to be a relationship counselor so once her kids start to become mature and can handle themselves she’ll start looking for a job

People she knew comes to her for relationship advice

She keeps in touch with Lindsay and Tyler(obvi), Harold and Lashawna, Cody, DJ, Chef and Justin( surprisingly), talks to Heather once in a while, same thing goes to Owen

If anyone mention about total drama or Chris she’ll just talks about the good times she had during the show and just ended the talk with ‘that life is in the past now I’m with my loving husband and good kids’

Regrets broke up with Trent over something he can’t handle and regrets be with Duncan but after some time Trent contact her and they decided to give their relationship another chance and this time do it slowly

Gwen is not fond of kids but is ok with it if Trent wants kids

Gwen is the godmother to Harold and Lashawna’s kids, Bridgette and Geoff’s kid, and Zoey and Mike’s kids

▪︎ in world tour Courtney apologizes to Duncan about how she treated him and tries her best to be nicer to him,even though she messes up sometimes Duncan still loves her and tries helping her. They're interactions will be super wholesome and sometimes a little awkward and episode by episode theyre love for eachother grows stronger and stronger. In this universe Duncan only has eyes for Courtney, none of this "gwuncan" stuff.

▪︎ Duncan and Courtney break up after action and meet eachother again at world tour, at first their interactions are a little awkward but they end up crushing on eachother REALLY hard (basically its just season 1 again) Courtney ends up apologizing to Duncan and they start dating again.
