Ranking of different skam/evak remakes?
So we're ranking my children now? This feels so wrong....
JK LETS FUCKING GOOO
So before I start, I'm gonna let you know that I haven't seen SKAM España or SKAM Netherlands (So I won't be ranking them at all) + as SRAM is still airing their s1 I won't be ranking them either!
Also, this is so long, so I'll post the EVAK rankings in a separate post! (Definitely didn't accidentally post this too soon and meant to do them both in one post)
Alright, first, the SKAM rankings which the reasoning for are quite short as I try my best not to mention the evak of the series as I will be talking about them in the evak rankings but they are as follows:
1. WTFOCK
I debated putting WTFOCK in second just because of Kato's season ngl, but in the end, they have some of my FAVORITE characterization's in any SKAM remake. Mainly, their characterizations of those in the flat share family (Milan, Zoë, Robbe, Senne, Sander) as for once they actually feel like a family during season 3 unlike some other variations (skam france).
I haven't spoken about it before, but most characterization's of The Eskild variation I don't like, but that's just because in most, it really feels like that don't care about the Isak (especially in SKAM France) but that's just me.
Their William (Senne) is the best version of him ever, and I can actually see how him and Zoë ended up together compared to the previous versions and tbh I love Noora in (almost) any version so I don't have much to say about her haha
But anyway, Senne and Zoë are like Robbe's parents, and Milan is basically Robbe's dad I said what I said
I love Jens, I love Jana, and I LOVE what they did during lockdown (the WTFOCKDOWN) all in all I just love the series and rewatch s1, 2, 3, wtfockdown, and s5 often (I'll even rewatch Their s7 as well)
2. DRUCK (SKAM Germany)
I've said before that DRUCK has one of the only 'Next Gen'/Original Characters that I can stand (Sascha Belin) but even outside of that I adore this series. Maybe it's because I knew a bit of German going into it (my family is German though I'm American) or maybe it's because they are close to me in age (I graduated in 2023) or maybe it could even be because I'm a trans person myself I'm not really sure, but DRUCK just hit different than the rest of the SKAM's do.
Plus, I can feel the love that Hans has for Matteo the same way I can feel the love Milan has for his boy Robbe 🤷♂️
I adore Matteo and Sascha, I would die for David, and I love Hanna (who may just be my favorite version of Eva ever)
3. SKAM
Yep, the original SKAM is in the top 3 (where else would it be?) To be honest, the only reason it's not first is because of characterization. Mainly William and Eskild's.
As I mentioned before, I am not a huge fan of Eskild. Though I do love him, I think that he's just a bit too much for me, lol. God, I hate William, though - in every variation execpt for Senne, and will never understand how Noora fell for such an asshole.
Anyway, I would say that no one can outdo the original, but obviously, that's not true (for me), but I will say that the original will always be special. It brought out so many important topics, like mental health, in a time that it wasn't common and was my heartstopper. It helped me come to terms with my MI and queerness and that's something I will always love it for.
4. SKAM France
I know, I know, "but SKAM France is so good!! It's the best version!!" WRONG! While I'll admit, France has one of the best s3 the over all series was NOT the best SKAM version that I've seen (though it's not the worse either)
Their William (Charles) was the worst pit of all of them, and so was their Eskild (Mika) I don't know why I feel that way about Mika but God that man gets on my nerves, though I'm happy he gets a partner in s5 (the first ever Eskild to do that) I just can't stand him.
Not to mention, it went on for way too long. Like I've said before, I rarely ever like the original characters, and this rings so true for SKAM France- they should have just kept it to Arthur and Lola (as they both had connections to the SKAM characters from the first seasons)
The only reason it's #4 is because of Elu and Yann. Hell, I can barely stand their Noora, and Eva that's saying something.
5. SKAM Italia
So, like, It's not the best remake, but it's not SKAM Austin, so it's next to last haha tbh I liked Marti and Nico but other than that it wasn't,,, great?? Like, I don't know. I like it, I'll rewatch it. I don't really have anything to say, negative or positive, about this version (that isn't evak varient related at least)
6. SKAM Austin
Die. Die. Die. Die this show should never have been made it fucking sucks I hate hate HATE it, shay was the only okay character.
Listen, I'm allowed to hate it. Do you know how excited I was to have a SKAM not only in my country but my hometown??? I don't live in Austin anymore so I feel safe saying that but fuck man I was so happy and then they put out that fucking bullshit- I couldn't even get through the first fucking episode.

Some of the best show endings have had couples together at the end that I appreciate:
Simon x Wille together and happy
Kurt x Blaine together, married, expecting a baby, 5 years down the road
Chandler and Monica, married with kids, starting their new life together in a house.
Michael x Alex, married, living their lives
Lost but only in the sideways world when they were all dead.
Syed and Christian from Eastenders left happy together and are still together from what we know
Drew and Rick from the night shift, were happy and married at the end
Isak and Even from Skam left happy and planning a trip
Martino and Niccolo from Skam Italia were happy in season 6
Lucas and Eliott were ok after speed bumps of school related stress from Skam France
Matteo and David were happy and in love from Druck after graduation
Jonas and Hanna were back together in Druck as well
Robbe and Sander were in a great place in Wtfock after graduation.

Just finished watching Druck / Skam Germany Season 1 for the first time. Yes, I know I am late to this, but here we are.
Honestly the first few episodes didn't quite get me, it all seemed to be too purposely educational - how Amira's culture was referred to so much, the gynecology story etc. (but maybe that's just me being ~10 years older than the target audience lol)
And one thing that really bothered me, the characters are supposed to be around 16/ 17 years old but how do they look (and most of the time also act) so mature? I think it would've been more realistic to me if they were portraying university students rather than 11th graders.
But damn, the end really got me hooked for more! 😍 Hanna's monologue at the beginning of the last episode felt so raw and emotional, I loved how Mia supported Kiki and confessed about her ed, and how they teased Matteo having a crush on Jonas.
aaand ofc I really loved the music, gave me a huge throwback to 2018!

4 years of Druck s3 - week 2
Things of note in this episode:
1. It’s still sad boy time! Having just rewatched Skam s3, it’s such a stark difference between the two boys. Isak holds his sadness far closer to his chest. On the surface he seems like one of the bros and is happy enough to go about his life. But here, Matteo is definitely showing it even if he tries to sort of cover it. Jonas even checks in with him about it because it is noticeable to the others. It’s nice to be so fully reminded of the differences.
2. However, our boy shows some signs of happiness when he’s with David and I really like that the change is so obvious in the film techniques, (body language, costuming etc etc ) I’ve talked about that at length before so I won’t rehash now but it remains a beautifully made difference. This part really highlights for me the things Matteo is experiencing: the hopeful and considering way he looks at David vs the uneasy and apathetic way he is with Sara. Again, it’s not fair to her but I can see why she falls for his lies - the social media is so playful even when we can see him on screen being very unhappy as he does parts of it.
3. Kiki in this episode is so fascinating. She has this vision of how life should be and is so annoyed when Matteo (quite reasonably) doesn’t want to let her into his home for her party. Instead of taking no for an answer, she gets progressively more pissed off with what she sees as obstinance. Of course, lovely Hanna then comes in as the peacemaker and smooths it over. But it really does highlight how desperate Kiki is to maintain control over something in her life even as her home life is obviously crumbling already.
4. Jonas is still so considerate of Hanna and her feelings and I love him for that. Abdi bumbles around being stupid about how he and Jonas can’t go out because they want to pick up girls, Jonas shuts him down quickly. I used to think this was about Kiki and her annoyance, but watching it this time, it seems clear that Jonas is shining attention towards Hanna. I like that we do get hints that neither of them is fully past what they had: it makes the eventual reunion make a lot of sense.
5. Carlos’s comment that of course he loves Kiki otherwise he wouldn’t be dating her should have been a hint to Matteo but sadly he’s too busy fantasising about a swilring David. And so unfortunately, instead of acknowledging this and doing the decent thing and breaking up with Sara, Matteo keeps dragging the whole thing out as time moves on.
6. Im still baffled that the school allowed this specific ‘motto week’ day to go ahead. They must know why David changed schools and any reasonable admin would know this could be potentially very tough for him. I understand in the context of a show why you’d do it, but the school?... hmmmm. I like to imagine that David sees that Matteo isn’t dressing up and it makes him feel even more positively towards him, allowing him to ‘save’ Matteo in his turn on the bus (blurry photo of David, sorry, but bonus ‘??????’ from Matteo as he tries to work out what David is up to)

If I'm not completely mistaken, at least for the 1st gen girl squad actresses druck was their first acting job (except for Milena aka Mia)
1st gen of druck Lea(kiki) and Mia(milena) had both already been in the industry. Milena was also a little older than the rest of the girls if i remember correctly
Hanna (lilly) had no experience and was the main for s1. Jobel (sam) also had no prior experience.
Anais (laura) was scouted at an industry talk/presentation from what I was told by someone who has spoken to her about how she ended up on wtfock. She had no prior experience acting.
