I'm surprised there isn't much art of drones with tattoos/decals that aren't the caution stripes or leg patterns.
If canon or how it would be possible for a drone to get one I'd say treat it like how it works with cars. Get a wrap of either a solid color or design, automotive spray paint or airbrushing artwork, and stenciling
I guess the exact method would depend on what material you assume their casings made of. From what I've seen, the two main "theories" are either metal or plastic, either of which would make sense.
For metal, materials meant for cars should work like you said
For plastic, I'm not 100% how well automotive paint would stick. But I'm sure they'd be able to find a type of paint that works, or just regular stickers. Which is the closest I've seen to someone's OC having a drone tattoo
they wouldn't be as permanent as a human tattoo, but with the right materials and care, anything they put down should last long enough. If they want'd something truly permanent, I'd imagine a drone could create a shallow etching with a rotary carver
As for why we don't really ever see them. I suppose the fact that there's no canon precedent for it could play a small part. But there's also the fact that if you add one to a design, you'll: 1, have to place it somewhere visible and 2, have it be big enough to be clear from a distance. Otherwise, no one's be able to see it due to clothing or the design being unclear from far away. Which, if you take the usual drone hat and jacket attire into account, doesn't leave many places with enough room to do that.
That only leaves the arms, legs, hands, neck, and face. The necks are tiny, segmented, and tucked under the head, so that's not a good spot. The head itself is mostly screen or covered by the hat/hair, but you could place a sticker on the cheek or outer area of the screen The arms and legs are also very thin compared to a human, and segmented, so putting one there risks it getting cluttered with the segment lines Same with the hands, they have the segmented fingers and lights on the back side. So it doesn't leave much room to put one there without it getting cluttered
Disassembly drones have a bit more leeway with the arms and legs though. I think the ideal spot for visibility would be their forearms
Ignoring clothes though, the best spot would probably be the upper back, it has the largest unbroken area. You do have the rubbery area of the stomach and lower back. But considering we're using paint and stickers rather than the human method of injecting ink into the skin, I'd imagine the bending of this area would make the paint crack easily and stickers lose their adhesive (like trying to put a band-aid on a finger joint)
so I guess that makes the ideal tattoos for drones: forearm/leg designs (DD), facial stickers, knuckle tats (you get 6 letters max), and big yakuza style upper back tattoos

We talk so much about the matching arm bands and what tattoos they cover up for both Buck and Eddie, but I just need to talk for a second about the choice to keep Ryan's Find a way tattoo
it physically pains me to think about Eddie Diaz inking Find a way into his skin.
Eddie "parentified child taking care of his mom and sisters as the man of the house before the age of 10" Diaz
Eddie "teen parent that feels like the only way he can provide for his family is to enlist in the army" Diaz
Eddie "widower and now sole parent to his disabled son" Diaz
Eddie "Christopher needs me to be in control" Diaz
Eddie "my life has never been my own" Diaz
tattooed Find a way onto the wrist of his dominant hand as a constant reminder that he must shove it all down and push through, as if he might forget the one thing he has always done.

I had a little idea about the Solver drones
What if they could get little tattoos using those tiny little UV pointers? I think most people will know what iâm talking about but in case you donât:
Since the solver hosts are sensitive to UV light (And we know it doesnât HAVE to some from a star specifically, because of that scene from ep7 with Nori), i keep thinking about them engraving little patterns into each otherâs arms with the laser pointers. Thatâd be so cute help me

Ink City #2: Unalome & Tibetan Sun & Moon....the balance of life force
About two or three years ago, around the tail end of COVID, I was recovering from my car accident. I wanted to get some tattoos that represented Buddhism, spirituality, balance and energy. Furthermore, I got two different tattoos that represent the nature of buddhist and hindu thought. First, I have the Tibetan Sun & Moon. These tibetan symbols are both written in what is called Drutsa script.âŠ

[Image Description: Comic of Ford and Stan Pines from "Gravity Falls" about Stan's tattoo. Alt text is provided and copied below the cut. End ID]
Copied Alt Text
Page one: Stan and Ford are sat in the living room watching TV. It blares, "We now return to 'Are You Smarter than a Post-Grad Barista?'"
Stan scratches at his shoulder and says, "Ah, Gravity Falls Public Access TV. Never change."
Page two: Ford glances at Stan's shoulder flashing back to a memory of younger Stan clutching his shoulder.
Stan's dialogue continues and fades out, "You really didn't miss anything. Y'know Rich is still hosting 'Cash Grab?' Met him once. Eh, didn't go so well. And don't get me started on Sassica! Qbza zvtl AC ahsr. Kvu'a ivaoly kljvkpun aopz. Ovwl fvb sprl aopz jvtpj!"
Page three: Ford is lost in the memory of their portal fight and Stan's injury, as Stan drones on, "Anyway I was- Hey! Pointdexter! Are you listing to me? Hey."
Ford snaps back to the present, where Stan's accidental brand mark has healed into his shoulder tattoo. Stan says, âTake a picture. Itâll last longer.â
Page four: After a beat, Ford looks away. They sink back into awkward silence. The TV drones on, "... So sorry! You are not smarter than a post-grad barista!"

AN INTERNAL THUMPING DRONES ALONG HER EARS AS HER SLENDER EYES GLANCE UP AT THE SCREEN. The gel along her stretched belly is cold against her skin, the hand of the doctor continuing to rub gently as she stared at the life growing inside of her.Â
Her mind had been everywhere to say the least. This was the first time sheâd been to an appointment by herself, having her friends hold a trembling hand as she got news about the journey of her pregnancy. She was trying to keep her attention along the doctor's voice as her anxieties whipped around her body like a tornado. But as the nurse walked in with a forced smile, purposely flipping the paper over into the doctor's hand, her attentiveness peaked.Â
Her heart couldâve dropped as the same nurse gave her a rub to the shoulder, thoughts immediately going to the worst. Those worries pulled all together in preparation for an anxiety attack as the doctor placed his glasses down to look along the words, giving a hum at the results.Â
Although she wanted to scream, she pulled it together and filled the silence within the room as she politely asked, âUhâŠis something wrong, Doctor?â
The doctor glances up at her, giving a small smile to reassure her with a shake to his head, âNo, nothingâs wrong, Seioni. The baby is fine as well,â he pats her thigh, seeing as that causes her to release the breath sheâd been holding before he continues, âThe only⊠hiccup would be that your blood pressure seems to be higher than normal.â
âOh,â she says softly, âI didnât realize.â
What was she supposed to say? She felt like she was in trouble, unsure of how to process that information. She hadnât been feeling too badâa couple of headaches here and thereâshe figured it was just her lack of eating.Â
The doctor hums as he glances back at the paper, âHow have you been feeling lately? How has the pregnancy been on you so far?â He asks, looking back at her.
âGood! I meanâas good as I can be,â she watches as the nurse comes to wipe her stomach, softly thanking her as she sits up. She knew that she might not have been telling the entire truth, but this also wasnât a therapy session. Rubbing her belly had become a nail-biting replacement, seeing as the doctor then asks, âDo you still own your tattoo shop?âÂ
âYeah, but I donât work anymore. My fiancĂš takes care of everything, but for the most part the shop runs itself,â she briefly explains.Â
The doctor nods understandingly. This still wasnât a therapy session, but being her primary doctor and having that relationship with her, he couldnât help but pry just a bit.Â
He hums, âThatâs good to hearâŠâ glancing at the ultrasound before looking back at her, âHow has your home life been? How is your fiancĂ©?â
That was the burning question. Officially being in a relationship with Toji taught her what it was like to be with a man, it scared her to open herself up to someone in a way she hadnât in years. Not only did she never expect herself to actually end up with him, she damn sure didnât expect to become a maternal figure to his sonâMegumiâwho was now freshly two-years old, hopping along for the ride of the relationship between his father and âOniââ as heâd call her. They all experienced a love between one another that blossomed as months passedâbut that didnât mean it didnât have itsâŠfaults.Â
Seioni sighed, tracing her fingers lightly against her belly before she replied, âMy fiancĂ© has a son, he just turned two. Weâve been potty training him and itâs beenâŠa mess, no pun intended,â she lightly giggles, âHe fusses a lot now since weâre trying to get him off of his pacifier, and he has trouble sleeping. Iâve also been trying to plan a wedding and baby shower by myself because my fiancĂš wants to make sure I have everything my way. On top of that I feel like a beluga whale, I canât keep food down because I vomit at certain smells since my nostrils are similar to a dog nowâdo you know what dirt smells like? Seriously, I mean, have you smelled it? It's awfulâbut uhâAs far as me and my fiancĂš, heâs been working a lot soâŠI donât see much of him at times,â she realizes as everything sounds overwhelming, muttering a soft, âSorry.â
The doctor gave a sympathetic look, understanding her situation. He sighs before he speaks again, giving a gentle smile to her, âYou have a lot on your plate. You know what youâre experiencing are symptoms of stress, correct? Thatâs whatâs causing your high blood pressure.â
Seioni knew that she could be a bit neurotic, but she didnât realize that these things were genuinely putting her in a state of distress. Megumiâs growing pains, Tojiâs lack of interest within the wedding and baby shower, and their lack of intimacy whether it was in the bedroom or out of it. Maybe she just needed some dickâor a box of tissues.Â
âWhat does your husband do for work?âÂ
She blinks, not ever having an answer for that question. She then convinced herself, âUhâcontractor. Yup, contractor.âÂ
âMaybe you should suggest for him to take some time off of work then. But regardless, this is a beautiful situation. You have a baby girl coming, you're planning a baby shower, and your wedding will be soon, correct?âÂ
âYes, Iâm thinking Italy,â she nods, seeing as that makes the doctor warmly smile.Â
She thinks to herself, this is a happy time. So why the hell did she feel soâŠmundane?Â
She blinks, raising her eyes up to him as she nods, âI guess I didnât realize I was stressing myself out that badly. Am IâŠharming my baby?â She worries, eyebrows furrowing as she lets out a deep breath.
âNo, no. Youâre not harming your baby in any way. Iâm just worried for you. Both mentally and physically.â He reassured her, âIt seems your blood pressure is fine now and everything else is normal. You just need to make sure you donât stress yourself out anymore as your pregnancy progresses. Let me ask, are you and your fiancĂš intimate?â
She raises her eyes, feeling her face go lightly warm as she repeats, âIntimate as inâŠsex? Is that really okay during pregnancy?â
He gave a small laugh, a little flustered that it was even a question as he soothes, âYes, dear. Itâs perfectly fine, healthy for you and the baby. It also increases the production of oxytocinââ he pauses as he sees her face fill with confusion before he explains, âThe âloveâ hormone, essentially. It reduces pregnant stress, improves sleep, and temporarily masks aches and pains. Sex, bonding, and an increase in endorphins help a pregnant woman sleep better to combat exhaustion and other griping pregnancy symptoms.âÂ
When he sees that she still has a hesitation along her face, he gives her a gentle touch along her shoulder as he says, âNo stressing, okay? How about I prescribe you some Lexapro? You can take them as needed, not anything you have to worry about fitting into your schedule.â
Seioni immediately knew that if Toji wasnât such a damn workaholic, heâd be under her like a baby attached to a nippleâalready having a small disagreement about her taking anything that wasnât her prenatals. Heâd dealt with a pregnant woman before, wanting to make sure she was as healthy as possible. But shit, he didnât know everything, did he?
ââŠI guess it wouldnât be a bad idea to have. Iâd just be worried if taking anything other than my prenatal might be harmful,â she tells him honestly.
He nods, understanding her concern. He sits down on a stool after he pulls it near her before breaking down, âThatâs normal. Let me reassure you that Lexaproâ a SSRIâSelective-serotonin-reuptake inhibitorâ is safe for both pregnant women as well as their babies. Itâs been shown that only 1% of the medication is passed on to the fetus during delivery, and that is an extremely small percentage. Itâs deemed completely safe.â
She lets out a deep breath, realizing that sheâs once again stressing herself out about things that donât have to be overwhelming to her. This shouldâve been the time where she rested, being seven months pregnant made her feel like she was going to explode.Â
She then nods her head as she exhales, âThank you so much, doctor. Me and my little boo boo feel so blessed to have you,â she gives him a soft smile, rubbing her belly happily.
âItâs my pleasure. Youâ be sure to take care of yourself, okay?â He teased her a little, standing back up on his feet, âIâll call that prescription in and the pharmacy should have it ready for you by the time you get there,â As he goes to help her off the table, he adds on, âOh, and your fiancĂ© should be expecting a call from me as well.â
âUh, why? If you donât mind me asking?â She places her hand along the bottom of her stomach, letting out a tired breath as she pulls herself up to stand.
The doctor chuckled lightly as he saw the small struggle and helped her stand, saying, âItâs nothing worrisome. Just gonna let him know about your prescription,â He tells her, âHeâll need to know about your blood pressure as well.â
Shit. She was hoping that she could at least talk to him about the prescription first, knowing that when he meant something, he meant it. She pulls her smile lines up to hold a happy expression on her face, nodding as she repeats, âYeah, of course. Thank you again.âÂ
The moment she leaves the doctors office, she soaks in his words, taking them into consideration. This shouldâve been the happiest time for her. The only stress should have been picking out names, choosing colors for her bridesmaids dresses, and creating a registry for the perfect gifts. Another issue sheâd been facing was the insecurities she felt within her own body changing. Her nose was wider than usual, her hips were now actually child bearing, and her belly walked in the room before she did. What if she wasnât attractive anymore?Â
On the opposite end, Toji drowned in her scent, wanting to eat her alive each time he saw herâif only she knew that. She wasnât sure why her face was warm as she clutched the olive green baby doll dress, standing within Victoria Secret as the cashier rudely eyed her belly more than she needed to.Â
ââFuck are you looking at?â She said before she thought about it, the cashier quickly dropped her eyes back to the lingerie as she shoved it into the bag.Â
Finally making her way back home, she thanks the babysitter as she sends her off for the rest of the day. She thinks to herself as sheâs within the kitchen taking out the steak that she plans to cook, realizing these issues wouldnât feel as big if she had Tojiâs full support.Â
It's not that he wasnât trying to help. He just wanted everything her way, she was his princess. He assumed that letting her handle these tasks would keep her busy since she complained about not working. She hoped that once Megumi went to bed, she could have someâŠalone time with Toji. But as she was now sat across from Megumi who refused to pee in the toilet, her track of time was off, and she wasnât sure if her mission would be a success. She sat on the phone with her mom, listening to her complain about her older brotherâs constant circle of women he presented to their father and aunt. Even through her amusement, she couldnât help that she deeply missed them all, although they could sometimes beâŠsomething.Â
âYour stupid-ass-big-headed ass brother has brought the second girl over here this week, talking about âThis the one for real Maâ,â boy, please. And the girls beâ cute, too! If only they had a brain. I tell them to run! Shoes off! Barefoot! Why didnât you just let me ship him off to your place and move into your old condo?â
âBecause he would have to pay rent, which would require him to have a job,â she emphasizes, âYou let Nova eat, sleep and shit in your house for free. If you gave hisâ ass responsibility heâd explode.â
âWhat youâ tryna say, lilâ girl? Donât make me smack you through this phone.â
âHitting a pregnant woman? Have some decorum,â she chuckles, âBut you know exactly what Iâm saying, momma. Thatâs your pride and joy, you need to take him off the nipple and kick him out, have him shack up with his thousands of bitches. I love my brother to death, but he canât be living under you his whole life.â
âHow about you worry about the baby in your belly and the one in front of you who refuses to pee?â
Her eyes immediately met with the familiar gray ones she saw within her fiancĂ©âs. His fat olive cheeks are currently a tint of red as his arms cross below him, dark hair spruced all around his head as he frowned across from her, sitting on his teddy bear decorated makeshift toilet.Â
âHave you been taking the fish oil pills I sent?â her mother asks.
Seioni frowns, âYuck. Everything except those. I can barely keep food down, do you want me to vomit?âÂ
She then turns her head back towards Megumi as she sighs, âCâmon, Sweetface. You said âOni, pee!â earlier.â
Another issue that they faced, with Megumi being two, in comparison to other children there was aâŠslowness to his ability to speak. They thought heâd be farther in his journey, understanding more than he could reply. But it wasnât an end of the world issue. It was something that was brought up in conversation when it came to Tojiâs ability to teach him, but that conversation quickly ended. One thing everyone knewâToji didnât play about his child.Â
Megumi shakes his, saying, âNo, no, no!â as he wiggles his way from the toilet.Â
Her mother hears their little argument as she asks, âMegâ giving you a hard time with potty training again?âÂ
âAs always,â Seioni sighs.Â
âHow about you give him treats for it?âÂ
Seioni frowns, âJesus, heâs not a dog, momma. And I donât want him thinking that the only way you accomplish things is immediately receiving an award for them.âÂ
She sighs as she looks at Megumi, âI wish you were here, mommy. You had me and Nova potty trained before we were even counting. Howâs Dad? And Aunt Celeste?â
Her mother heard the longing tone of her daughterâs words and immediately sympathized. Her daughter always had a close relationship with her family, so it was expected for her to miss them.Â
âYour fatherâs fine. Heâs in the backyard tending to the garden like he says heâs going to do every summer,â she replied, slightly amused by her over-the-top husband, âAnd Celeste is somewhere in her room caked-up on the phone with her many boyfriends. Probably where Novaâs slutty ass gets it from.âÂ
Seioni laughs lightly as she smiles, just envisioning her father out in the garden every summer with a ridiculous sunhat and shorts, a gardening shovel in his hand as the sweat glistens on his body. She also envisioned her aunt, boisterous laugh as she twirled her hair to any manâs attention. This conversation was only aiding her home-sickness, she felt her stomach beginning to ache.
She brings her eyes back to Megumi, staring over him as he sits silently along the toilet. She then says to him, âMegumi, pee?âÂ
Megumi gives a pout, his chin quivering as he mutters out, âNo-potty!â his little hands curling up into fists. He refused to use the toilet, and only wanted to use his pull-ups.Â
Seioni huffs, running her hand through her hair, âOh my hell, just pee, Megumi,â she told him as her mother laughed through the call.
âEat-eat!â He then soundlessly calls out.Â
Seioni raises an eyebrow as she crosses her arms, âNo eat-eat, Megumi doesnât want to pee!â
âHe sounds just like his father. Stubborn as hell,â her mother laughs as she hears her daughter and grandchild from the phone.Â
Seioni sighs as she rolls her eyes, but with a slight laugh as she agrees, âYeah, exactly like his fatherâŠâ She sighs once again before saying, âMegumi, you get no food until you pee!â She told him.
âDoes he do this all the time?â
âGirl, yes. He only listens to Toji. Probably causeâ heâs scary. But he wanna take advantage of his âOniâ,â Seioni rolls her eyes.Â
Megumiâs eyes were wide as a look of horror came across his face. He refused to pee, but he also wanted to eat. Heâd only just recently gotten rid of his bottles and had been eating actual, solid food now.Â
He began to pout heavily, tears slowly gathering in his eyes before he replied with a quiet, âOniâ, Hungry.â as he held his belly, as if to further his point.
Although she tried to get better with not allowing his cries to defeat her, she couldnât help but soften at that olive toned face going red in the cheeks, swelling as his doe eyes dropped tears.Â
She then muttered into the phone, âFuckinâ hell, Momma, I gotta go. Iâll talk to you later, okay?â
Seioniâs mother chuckles over the line, hearing the annoyance in her daughterâs voice. âOkay,â she replies, âYou better make sure Tojiâs big headed ass is sitting with Megumi by the toilet the minute he gets home, you shouldnât be the only one doing this. You acting like more of a parent then he is!â
âMom, please donât start,â Seioni sighs, rolling her eyes as that was probably the twentieth time her mother told her that, âGoodbye, Mom. I love you.â
âI love you too, baby,â her mother replies as if she didnât just throw shade at her fiancĂš, âTalk to you later. Bye, Megumi.â
The sound of her momâs soft voice nearly makes her want to begin crying like Megumi, missing the warmth that she brings around her. She could be a pain in the ass at timesâespecially when it came to her feelings about Tojiâs constant absence as of recentlyâbut that was her mom regardless.Â
Megumiâs attention is pulled away from his tears as he hears her voice through the phone, calling out a small, âBye, Byeâ before Seioni hangs up the call.
Seoni places the phone down, raising her arms as she sighs, âCâmon. Oniâ is sorry, okay? Just need you to pee without your diaper one of these days.â
Megumi slowly lifted himself up from the toilet and pouted more as he muttered, âNo potty,â he wasnât going to give in to her just yet.
She had her own transgressions with the fact that Megumi had a hard time listening to her when it came to potty-training, and it was even more frustrating that the only person he listened to at times was his father. She loved Megumi like he was her own, but she knew that her not actually being his mother mightâve clued into their issues.Â
âEat-eat?â She raises an eyebrow, pulling his pamper up along his hips as she kisses him against his tear filled cheek, standing with a groan as she places him along the side of her hip.
âEat-eat,â Megumi nodded heavily.Â
His little hands clutched along her shirt as he began to sob softly, his pouts becoming more intense. His face began to become more red as tears fell more down his cheeks, staining a part of her shirt.
Seoni let out a sighâthis was gonna be a long night.Â
She was halfway successful with her mission of cooking for Toji before he got home, making a wagyu steak with garlic buttered mash potatoes, only able to make a small salad for herself as she couldnât handle anything too heavy on her stomach. Another thing she couldnât stop crying about, nearly vomiting anything heavier than salads, sandwiches or liquids. She wasnât sure what time he was coming home tonight, knowing that his job delved within âmafia/criminalâ activity, but never asking what he exactly did, just hoping he got home safely in the process.Â
Once she fed Megumi and got him to finally go to sleep, she took the final step in her plans. She took a long shower, shaved her entire body, and lathered herself with baby oil and vanilla scented perfume.Â
But as she stood in the baby doll dress, her breast spilled out the sides of the lace fabric, her round belly large under the sheer gownâall of her insecurities came flooding in the warmth of her cheeks. She feltâŠunattractive. Â
Once she changed into one of Tojiâs oversized jerseys, she spent the next hour crying her eyes out, seated on the sofa as she bored into old pictures of herself. She cried so hard that she ended up knocking out, dozing off along the pillows unknowingly that she never took into account how late Toji finally came home.Â
He was always terrible at entering the house. Heavy boots thumped along the floor, a low curse echoing along the walls as he stepped on one of Megumiâs toys trying to come inside. Due to her being a light sleeper, Seioniâs eyes slowly blank open, reflexively holding her belly as she looks at her fiancĂš. Toned arms, muscles bulging through his shirt as that dragon tattoo trailed around his left hand, now crawling under his shoulder and down his back. Dark hair and matching furrowed eyebrows frowned as he appeared behind the door, scarred lip twitching as his eyes fell over her figure.Â
Seeing this man was like seeing him for the first time. Its like heâd almost gotten bigger in height and broadness, almost having to slouch for her consideration. Steel gray eyes were deadly, glares and stoic appearance making her want to melt within a constant. A small scowl plays along his mouthâper usualâeyes flickering from the toy he just stepped on to the woman sleeping on the couch, journal nearly falling from her grasp as she begins to wake up.Â
As soon as his eyes met hers though, his heart warmed a bit, relaxing slightly as his deep voice gruffly called, âBaby... What are you doing sleeping on the couch? Youâre supposed to be in bed.âÂ
He takes his leather jacket off and slings it over the table, pausing as he picks it back up to hang along the coat rack by the door before Seioni can choke him out about it. He's already making his way over to her flawlessly beautiful figure, dark hair sticking along her toffee face as she adjusted to reawakening, feeling as her legs are being gently pulled over his lap.Â
Her voice is soft and immensely quiet, âIâŠdozed off, uhâŠwriting baby names. Remembering what the doctor told me,â she runs her fingers through her dark hair as she sighs, âHi, Daddy.â
He gives a rumbling chuckle as he glances down at the journal, looking at her words before he glances back up to her, pulling her more onto his lap instead, âHey, Mama,â he muttered back, his large hand lightly resting against her belly.Â
âYouâre pushing yourself too hard, arenât you?âÂ
âToday was by default. Megumi gave me the blues trying to potty train him again, but I did end up making dinner for you,â she wraps her arms around his neck, feeling the warmth of his palms on her hips.
Toji lets out a small huff, ââBoy is just as hard headed as I am, you know that. Youâll tire yourself out more trying to get him to do something he doesnât want to do.â He gently pulled her closer, her legs on either side of his lap, wrapping an arm around her hips.Â
âWhatâd you make? Iâm starving,â he grunted out, his hand rubbing her hip, massaging it lightly.
âWagyu steak and garlic mash potatoes, how Muffin likes it,â she playfully rolls her eyes, giggling as she feels his palm lightly smack along her ass from the nickname.
In regular fashion, he quickly grumbles, âI keep telling your ass Iâm not your damn Muffin.âÂ
He then chuckled, âSmartass, but you know me so goddamn well, beautiful,â he teased nonetheless, giving her a grin as his hand rested comfortably along her hips.Â
âJust like I know that you like being my Muffin, hm?âÂ
âStop talking to me. Anyways, you know if youâre going to go through the effort of cooking, I need to go through the effort to reward you afterwards,â he travels his hand upward as he digs his fingers into her hair to clutch her forward, lips sucking the skin of her neck into his mouth.Â
It made her sigh breathlessly, her face warm as a small giggle pulled from her lips, âDonât I get a reward for just being the love of your life?â
He chuckled as he pulled away from her neck, his lips just centimeters away from hers as he told her, âIt never ends with you, does it, woman? Always needing more from me.â
The constant realization with their lack of intimacy hits her again, a chill coursing down Seioniâs spine at the thought. But another chill came as she remembered not feeling as attractive as she usually did. She can tell that Toji feels her body tense, hoping he doesnât press her reactionâshe really didnât want to end the night off in an argument about her own self conflicts.Â
She nearly sighs in appreciation as he slows his movements down, hearing as he asks, âHow was the doctor?âÂ
She raises her eyes as she squints, âThe doctor called you today, Fushiguro. Iâm assuming you missed it due to work.â
Toji nearly groaned at the news of her saying that the doctor called. Heâd meant to answer them, but as of recently work had been busier.Â
âDamn it, I knew I forgot something.â He muttered out, lightly pinching his nose, âWhat did they call about?â
âHe wanted to tell you about my high blood pressure,â she lightly trails her finger along his arm, the dragon along the veined skin shining under the living room light.
His head raised up, âWhatâs causing you to have high blood pressure?âÂ
âHe said I could just be stressing myself out, whichâI know I am. He prescribed me Lexapro, I think I might try it out for a couple of days, see how it makes me feel.âÂ
She can practically feel the frown on his face before she sees it, keeping her eyes away from him as she attempts to move herself off of his lap. Key word, attempted.Â
âYouâre not taking those.â
She raises her eyebrows, âThe doctor told me they were safe, Toji. I donât think heâd give me anything if he knew I couldnât take it.â
âYou think I give a fuck about what the doctor said?âÂ
She rolls her eyes, not ready to go back and forth with him as his arm tightens around her hips, his fingers digging a bit harder into her curves as he speaks, âIf itâs not a damn prenatal, I donât want you taking anything else. Iâm not risking shit happening to you. Thereâs better ways to control your blood pressure.â
âLike what? Not stressing myself? Thatâs easier said than done. Who else wouldnât be stressed if they had a baby in their terrible twos, a baby in their bellyâthen planning a wedding and baby shower all at once?â She raises an eyebrow.
âWhat the fuck does that have to do with you taking some dumbass shit like Lexapro? You can do all of that without medication, Seioni.âÂ
âOh bite me,â she snarls, âDonât go all government on me. You still havenât answered my question.â
âThese are issues that can be easily resolved. Iâm waiting for your point.â
âEasily resolved?â Her hand quickly latches to pull his arm off of her, his hand becoming more firm as he holds onto her before his mouth fires off, âSeioni. Donât fuckinâ play with me right now, move your hand.âÂ
âBoy, fuck off! Who the hell are you to tell me what I canât take? My father?â
âBoy?â He raises his own eyebrow, full lips and scar twitching in her defiance.Â
When sheâs finally able to get him to loosen his grip, she tries to hide her grunt as she has to hold her back and belly all at once to properly stand, struggling as she does so before successfully coming off of his lap.Â
The minute she began getting up, his hands went immediately to her hips to hold her in his lap, a very deep frown on his face as he spoke in a dark tone, âDonât give me that bullshit, woman. Iâm your goddamn husband, thatâs why Iâm saying itâAnd you canât even get up to stand by yourself, you can barely even move without grunting in pain, sit the hell down.â
âI can do stuff on my own!â She exclaims, crossing her arms, âDonât act like Iâm helpless, bastard. Iâm just saying that maybe Lexapro wouldnât make me so neurotic.â
âIâm not saying youâre helpless. Iâm just saying that your body is not the same as it was before you were pregnant,â he grumbled back, the vein in his forehead throbbing as he spoke. He looked directly down at her arms, seeing how she crossed them across her chest as he continued, âWe donât need anymore side effects happening to you or the baby because youâre wanting some antidepressant. You donât need those, you need to sit your ass down and take a damn break. This is why your blood pressure is high.â
âWell how about you make me less stressed by helping me out? You wanna be tied up in your stupid ass job all the time, how wouldnât I be stressed?â She narrows her eyes.
There it is, the argument heâd been avoiding this entire time. He knew that she was upset about the time heâd been spending at work, but work was important to him. He wanted to be able to take care of her and Megumi in more ways than imagined.Â
âDonât act like I just work for shits and fuckinâ giggles.â
âDonât make me feel like Iâm supposed to be satisfied with that ! Iâm asking you to at least seem interested when I talk to you about these things. Wedding, baby shower, baby names! Anytime I bring it up you blow me off about itâusing the excuse that you just want to make sure I do everything I want for both events, but in reality you just donât wanna do shit for them!â She clocks him, swatting his arms away in an attempt to touch her.
The vein in his forehead turned into a headache as she continued speaking, her words hitting at his pride. He was beginning to get incredibly pissed as she continued.
âI donât want to do anything for it because those things arenât about me, itâs about you and the baby. What kind of man do you think I would be if I didnât allow you to plan your own gender reveal, your own baby shower, your own wedding, your own goddamn baby gifts? I donât do anything to help but Iâm giving you the reigns here.â
âWell maybe Iâd like my fiancĂš to seem slightly excited about these events, to just give me some type of showing that you care!â
âYouâre really doing this right now?â He blinks, âYou know I care. If I didnât I wouldnât give a fuck about all this stupid-girly shit,â he blows a breath, sucking his teeth, âShit. Maybe you do need the goddamn Lexapro.âÂ
Similar to Megumi, another newfound part of her pregnancy was the way that she could instantly cry on cue, almost like a baby. To hear his words instantly hurt her feelings.Â
She didnât mean to give the reaction she did, but everything began hitting her all at once. His words, the doctor's words, her own words. A pout came to her lips, her eyes welling with tears as she pressed her hands to her face, âI just feel so âŠoverwhelmed.â
The minute she began to cry, Toji tensed immediately. He absolutely hated it when she cried, and her pregnancy definitely didn't help him on that end at all. He was about to respond but another sniffle came from her, and then followed by another, and another, he groaned.
"Oh jesus... Stop crying, please, you know I hate this shit..." he grumbled softly, his large hands lightly rubbing at her hips to try and soothe her.
That made her full on sob, her face red as her cheeks swelled, her hands over her face as she cried, âI câcanât do this alone. I miss my family, I wish they were here to help me with these things. Megumi is giving me a hard time, IâI canât keep any food down, I canât fit any of my clothes, I feel like a fucking ugly fat whale.â
He could feel how his shirt got damp, tears staining it from her crying, but he couldnât care less as he held her against him. Despite the pregnancy, she still felt so small in his grip, and it reassured him that although his words could be mean, he was always there to comfort her.
His head laid against the top of her head as he muttered softly, âYou're not alone. You have me, okay? You have meâyourâŠMuffin,â he almost vomited at his words, â And Meggie, weâre here. You're not alone, babydoll.â
âBut youâre always workinggg,â she sobs, hiding her face within his chest as she cries even harder, nearly unable to breath as tears drop heavily from her face.
âBaby, you gotta calm down.â
He tried soothing her as his hand began gently trying to brush away some of the tears falling down her face. Her sobbing was beginning to worry him, she was crying too damn hard.Â
âI know youâre upset about the amount of time Iâve been working butâbaby, Iâm just trynaâ handle shit for us,â he was trying to rationalize with her, but it was very difficult to do so when she was crying.
âMâMaybe yâyou just donât want me or this baby,â she trembles.
Toji quickly grips her face, pulling her tear streaked cheeks to stare up at him as he pulls her forward, âCut this shit out,â a firm, dark tone, âI want you more than anything with this baby. Quit saying bullshit like that. I think youâre the prettiest, Oniâ. Youâre lucky I canât fuck the shit out of you right now.âÂ
She takes another deep breath, unable to stop herself from crying. The waterworks flowed, keeping her face in her hands as she quivered, ââM sorry. Iâm just so scared. I canât even get Megumi to pee in the toilet. How am I gonna be a good mother? Wâwhat if I canât do this?â more tears appear along her face, nearly having to catch her breath from her tearful attack.
He could feel the way she was shaking and quivering from crying, and it only continued to make him feel guilty. Her words hurt, but it hurt even more when she began doubting herself.
âYouâre going to be a great mom,â he muttered with an assurance, his hand lightly moving across her face, trying to brush away the tears. âMegumiâs just stubborn, baby. Youâll be able to get him eventually, it just takes time.Â
Youâre doing great. Youâre doing just fine, okay?â
His words make her feel slightly better. She knew that she was doing better than most, and maybe being so critical was another cause of her stress. She knew she was going to be the best mother she could be, she just had to believe that. Especially with Tojiâs support. She wraps her arms around his shoulders as she shoves her face within his neck, sniffling as she tries to control her breathing.Â
She then muffled, âIâI love you.â
He placed his chin along the top of her head, his hand gently clutching at the back of her hair. âI love you too, beautiful. I love you so damn much.â
âEven when Iâm a crying mess?â She mutters, feeling the grumble of his chuckle along her body.
âEven when youâre a complete mess, I still love you. Youâre still my gorgeous, loveable mess, baby,â he reassured, placing a gentle kiss along the top of her head, âI meant what I said. Youâ in my jersey is gonna get you fucked up,â he grunts, the arousement of this man never failing.
She rolls her eyes against his damp shirt, lightly swatting his arm as she utters, âHush.â
The comfort and reassurance of this man was like no otherâ she couldnât ask for a better upcoming husband. Through all of that, she feels her body becoming tired again after the waterworks, laying herself deeper into him as she lets a moment of silence go between them. Despite their disagreements, she loved him endlessly.Â
âBaby?â She asks softly.Â
âYeah?â
âCan I have some of your steak?âÂ
âIs it gonna make you vomit and then cry after you vomit?â
ââŠYes.âÂ
âThen no.âÂ

AS A COUPLE OF WEEKS HAD PASSED, Seioni had come to the revelation that the only thing sheâd do from now on was enjoy this pregnancy. With that, she requested instead of taking Lexapro to receive something for her morning sickness. Tojiâs stubbornness subsided at the thought of her being able to eat, to which he painfully agreed on the medication.
All this man wanted to do was make his woman happy. He wanted to withhold the surprise he had for her and Megumi, but knowing that not allowing his fiancĂš to do her âgirly-shitâ in preparation for an upcoming vacation to Maui, Hawaii, sheâd go into labor if she couldnât buy a whole new wardrobe. Â
She was like a child when it came to her excitementâif only her fiancĂš and his son were as equally elated in her process. She enjoyed every single swipe of his card, outfits, getting her hair done, pampering herself in preparation to be along the beach. She dragged Toji and Megumi all around the mall with her, finding outfits for them as wellâignoring the looks shared between the son and father, impatient and only wanting to be curled up next to her at home. But as he watched her stare within the mirror as she tried on two-piece bikinis, not giving a damn about her round belly, shopping wasnât as bad as he made it to beâhe was now excited.Â
The day finally came as they were at the bustling airport. Seioni pulled her bohemian braids behind her ear, more human hair than anything flowing in between the individuals as her brown skin was lightly russet within the face, her freckleâs almost making her look sun kissed. She wore a ballerina pink baby tee, matching yoga pants and her hello kitty sandals, trying to carry her own personal bag on her shoulder as she gave a polite nod to the airport worker after showing her passport. Toji couldâve nearly snatched that bag off of her shoulder, almost glaring at her for attempting to carry something as heavy as her bag.Â
âI had it,â she said softly, rolling her eyes.
He grumbled, raising an eyebrow at her eye-roll as he shifted the strap along his shoulder, allowing her to walk in front of him. He was like a guard dog, ready to pounce at any moment as she spun around in her dream land.
âAnd you say Iâm stubborn,â Toji mutters.Â
She raises an eyebrow, âYouâ talkinâ shit over there?â Taking Megumiâs small hand within hers, pulling him as he waddled down the line towards TSA.Â
âDo you want me to repeat myself in a louder tone?â
She shot daggers at him, eyebrows frowning down as she nearly flung Megumi to turn towards him, âYou know what, as a matter of fact, I do!âÂ
âYou better waddle your ass to TSA and stop talking to me.âÂ
âI donât wanna have to smack your ass in this damn airport, Fushiguro,â she glares.
âThatâs even if you could get to me in time!âÂ
âOh! Youâre trynaâ be funny! How about I roll over to you?! Bastard!ââÂ
âYou better stop talking to that man like that, Seioni!âÂ
She halts. Her attitude is on high alert as she thinksâwho the hell is talking to her and why did they know her name?
Her body fully turns as she searches for the voice that becomes familiar the more it echoes in her mind. Her heart nearly falls in her ass as she sees the familiar smile that she holds within her own face, her mother standing on the other side of the airport as well as her father, brother and aunt.
Her eyes go wide as she shockingly calls, âMomma?!âÂ
Her eyes turn to Toji, seeing the smile that suppresses within his face. He knew that she was having a hard time with this pregnancy, so he thought surprising her with her family joining them on the trip would make her smile. He knew she hadnât seen them in a while due to them living in a different city.Â
She releases Megumiâs hand as she takes off for them, Toji calling, âOniâ!â scared she would fall, watching as she waddles quickly over to them, gripping her mother into the tightest hug she couldâve given her.Â
âOh my god,â she cried, tears immediately coming down her face, âWhat are youâ when did youâhow are you guys here?â She cried, looking between all of her family members, unable to stop herself from the waterworks.
The minute she began crying, her mother was shushing her gently with a light laugh, âOh no, no, donât cry, babygirl. We just wanted to surprise you, since we know youâve been having a hard time lately.â
Her mother was lightly rubbing her back as her father spoke up next, âYour fiancĂ© told us that you could use some moral support right now, we were more than happy to come see you. He paid for our flights here and to Maui.âÂ
âYou didnât tell us your fiancĂš had all this damn munyun, sis,â her brother calls from behind, a smirk along his face.
She scrunches her nose at her brother as she fires, âDonât be ghetto, act like youâve been around some money before.âÂ
âYoâ daddy!â Nova rebuttals.Â
âAye! Iâm nowhere near broke!â Her father, Noel protests.Â
âDid you pay for this trip, broke-boy?â Her mother playfully insights to her husband, crossing her arms with a raised eyebrow, âI recall you only buying a neck pillow for the flight.âÂ
âSaanaĂĄ, please. You bought a matching one!âÂ
âAnd did! Celeste bought a third!â She points out.Â
âAnd did! In my business? Mind yours, anyways, he does seem to have heavy ass pockets. What he doâ for work?â The aunt playfully instigates, Toji and Seioni quickly replying in an exhale, âContractor.âÂ
Tojiâs instantly amused by her family dynamic. He was unable to do anything but chuckle as she turns towards him, âYou really did this?â Sniffling as she smacks his arm, âYou did. You bastard.âÂ
Toji now had Megumi along his hip, nearly stumbling as she wrapped her arms around his neck, pecking his lips multiple times while still crying throughout her happiness.
âIs this the little Megumi?â Her aunt playfully gasps.Â
ïżœïżœMegumi giggles as he raises his arms into hers, surprisingly going right into her embrace which makes her happily cheer. Toji almost had to blink twice.Â
âWell come on people, our flight is gonna start boarding soon!â The mom calls, taking the hand of her husband as the aunt giggles excitedly with Megumi in her hands, Seioniâs brother helping with the bags as he follows behind.
She turns to Toji as she wraps her arms around his neck, âYouâre such a sweetie when you wanna be, yâknow that? Always putting on this scary act and youâre just a little teddy bear. My muffin.âÂ
âYou think Iâm a teddy bear, huh?â He teased lightly, one of his hands lightly resting along the small of her back, holding her close to him. âDonât be fuckinâ cute. Iâm only soft for you.âÂ
âLooks like somebody's trynaâ get on my good side, hm?âÂ
She stood on her toes, dragging her tongue along his jaw before sucking his lips into her mouth, making him grunt lowly, âDonât get me put on the no flight list, Seioni.âÂ
She giggles, âBad boy. Weâre with my family!â She teases, giggling as she tries to pull away, âThe baby can hear you,â she places her hand along her belly.
âSheâs gonna feel something if you donât stop playing,â he threatens along her lips, hearing as she shockingly giggles, swatting his arm before she begins pulling him towards their gate, âLetâs go!âÂ
The flight had gone by quicklyâat least for Seioni, she fell asleep before the plane even took off. Toji spent most of his time hovering the phone over to Megumi to keep him quiet, seeing as he became fussy from having to be stuck in one place for a long period of time. Her mom and aunt were also asleep, her brother and father engrossed in a movie they were both watching at the same time.
He couldnât help but sigh as both Seioni and Megumi gripped along his body to comfortably sleep, Toji barely unable to move at this point. The tired laugh that fell from his lips was inevitable.
The minute that he felt like heâd dozed off, they arrived in Maui. His jet-lagged physique made him feel like his eyes were shutting by themselves, but to see the excitement of his fiancĂš as she pulled him through the airport, he figured heâd sleep another time. The sun was shining brighter than theyâd ever experienced as they made it outside, the flowers were blooming and the trees were vibrantly greenâit was almost overwhelming.
âWe were only on the plane for an hour but yet my ass feels like itâs been sitting in a seat for hours,â he mutters, his voice tired. It felt like his chest had been filled with concrete; the only thing keeping him focused was the pure, raw excitement that his fiancĂš showed.Â
âAwe, you need a massage?â Seioni questions, rubbing the side of his neck as he attempts to pick up her luggage, his and Megumiâs.Â
âDonât be trynaâ soften me up and shitâ he points out, Seioni pouting as she says, âMoi? Softening you up? How dare you.âÂ
Toji huffs as she continues to rub at the side of his neck, the action making him want to just collapse into her body and fall asleep.Â
âWhat do you want, woman?â
âYour love and affection?â She bats her eyelashes, âYou've been working so hard. Nova, come get these bags before I punch you! My man is doing all the damn work!â She calls for her brother, wrapping her arms around Toji as she pecks his jaw.
âStop yelling at me, fucker.â
Both siblings raise their middle fingers to each other, Toji having to bite down on the inside of his cheek to keep himself from laughing at the sight.Â
He feels her arms wrapping around his body, subconsciously holding her a bit tighter against him as he grumbles, âYeah, okay.â
When they walked into what essentially seems to be a villa, the sight was beautiful. The inside walls were brown, minimalist beige furniture with a large kitchen. There were multiple rooms, an opening that led out to a personal pool, fruits, finger foods plastered around the kitchen island to welcome the family in the house.
âDammnn, Toji. Youâ did good!â SaanaĂ calls, the aunt agreeing, âThis shit is bougie. Youâ must really love Oniâ!âÂ
âSheâs aight!,â her brother Nova comments, the dad intervening, âDonât be mad cause you donât have a woman to do this for.â
âThatâs if he had the money!â Aunt Celeste clowns on him, everyone laughing as Nova smacks his lips, carrying their bags upstairs.
âLetâs go to the beach! I need to see the sun set.â
âOoh, and to see the fine men on the beach!â Her aunt agreed with her moms statement.Â
âThat too,â SaanaĂ nods her head, Noel then saying, âYouâ tryna be funny, married woman?â With a raised eyebrow.
âOh boy, donât start. Yâknow I love youâŠbut I also love looking at fine men!âÂ
Seioni rolls her eyes with a soft laugh, then saying, âAs much as Iâd love to watch you two act an ass on this beach, Iâm feeling a little nauseated from the plane ride,â she places her hand over her belly, feeling her feet becoming heavier as she stands. Toji immediately wraps his arm around her, steadying as he knows her feet hurt at times.
âYou alright, baby?â Toji is immediately concerned, having the urge to pick her up to keep her feet off of the ground.
âDo you need us to stay with you?â Her mom asks, now becoming equally worried.Â
She shakes her head, âNoâactually, take Megumi with you, if thatâs okay. Iâd love for him to see the water. Let him spend some time with yâall, Toji can stay here and make sure I donât roll down the stairs,â she weakly jokes, pulling her hair behind her ear tiredly.
Her mom nods her head in agreement, looking over at Toji with a curious look, âYou donât mind?âÂ
Toji shrugs his shoulders, âNah. I can stay here and make sure she doesnât hurt herself,â he half-jokes, shifting so her body can lean more so on his own.
âOkay, weâll be back soon. Letâs go, Meggie!â Her aunt picks up the small two-year old, watching as he giggled, wrapping his arms around her neck.Â
All in her plan. Once the family exits out the house, Toji looks down as he notices the grin she tries to suppress. He raises an eyebrow, realizing she had been trying to find a reason to get her family out of the house without actually having to ask.
âYouâre a terrible actor,â he hums, âYou just wanted me all to yourself? Selfish ass.âÂ
âMhmmm,â she hums back, happy as can be, tugging him towards the master bedroom.Â
It was more beautiful than she imagined. A crisp white bed next to a walk in shower, green marble in the structure of the walls. As they look out to the balcony, thereâs a clawfoot tub that looks out into the beauty of the green trees, a sight that she could look at forever.Â
She felt a pang in her chest as she was now alone with him, as if this wasnât her fiancĂ©e thatâd sheâd been with for the past two years. He knew every part of her body, so why was she afraid to show it?Â
She faced the wall of the shower as she undressed. Toji instantly notices how she refuses to look at herself, but says nothing. He didnât wanna cause an argumentâ at least for now.Â
The tub is now filled, flower petals drenched beneath the warm water, multicolored and ethereal to their eyes. Seioni leans against the top of the tub as she stares out at the horizon, her long bohemian braids claw clipped out of her face, skin bare of makeup as her freckles tattoo against her cheeks and nose. The sunlight beamed against her brown skin, she couldnât look away from it. Toji was the oppositeâhe couldnât look away from her.Â
She continued to ramble, âSo, I was thinking about baby names again. I had been looking into some Japanese names for a girl, and I saw the name KiyomiâI thought it was so cute. Itâll fit into our little family, everyone ending in âIâsâ. Megumi, Seioni, Toji, you get what Iâm saying? And then I can give her a little nickname like âOmiâ cause it sounds like me! âOniâ! Yeah?âÂ
When she hears no response and realizes she mightâve been talking too much, she stops, noticing the way he leans his head slightly as he stares at her.Â
She leans herself into the water as she gives a smallÂ
smile, âWhat? Why are you looking at me like that?â
His gray eyes continued to stare at her, tracing every dip and curve of her body with his gaze as he spoke, âYouâre so pretty, baby.â
She rolls her eyes, âWere you even listening?â coming closer to him, wrapping her arms around his neck as she comes onto his lap. The warm water engulfs both of their skin.
Toji allows her to adjust herself onto his lap, his arms immediately wrapping around her waist once she is situated. He hums as he buries his face into the crook of her neck, his lips attaching to her warm throat.
âI was listening,â he murmurs, âKiyomi is a nice name, perfect for a pretty little girl. Just like her momma.â
He continues to press kisses against her skin, teeth gently nipping at the skin of her shoulder. She sighs, feeling that she wanted to have a conversation about what was going on in her head. But she knew that Toji wouldnât be too happy to hear the unhappiness she felt, and she didnât want to ruin the trip.Â
âYouâve been all quiet on me since we got here,â she says quietly, âI miss you. Are you feelingâŠoverwhelmed with my family?â
He chuckles, âNah, Iâm good, Mama. Iâm just a little tired. Weâve been traveling for hours and your family is on ten at all times. Itâs just different.âÂ
He presses a gentle kiss against her exposed collarbone, âPlus, Iâve been looking forward to being alone with you.â
Her mind wracks at that. She knows they need some time together, without Megumiâs constant whining and crying, without her family regardless of this trip. She thought back to the doctor's words of intimacy, the thought feeling almost virginal to her. She feltâŠnot like herself. She wasnât looking for a pep talk about confidence. But this belly and the changes in her body, she wasnât used to it.Â
She pulls him closer, letting the petals flow around them within the tub as she asks, âYouâd tell me if they were getting on your nerves, right?â
Toji allows her to pull him closer, his arms fully wrapping around her back as he presses a kiss against her shoulder. He chuckled softly at her question, âYour family is cool as fuck. But this conversation isnât gonna stop you from saying whatâs actually wrong with you.âÂ
She feels the intensity in his stare. Blowing out a breath at the question, her eyes fall back down. This was the time to be vulnerable, but as said before, she didnât want a scolding in response.Â
She shakes her head as she lies somewhat, âJust nervous about the family thing. They can be kindaâŠcontrolling?â
His eyebrows furrow, âDonât lie to me.âÂ
âIâm not,â she lies again, âSo you arenât worried about getting into it with them? You have a mouth on you.â
Toji gives her a look, knowing that she was bullshitting him. There was definitely more to what she was saying than she was letting on.Â
âNope,â he responds instead, âI do have a mouth on me, but Iâm a grown ass man, I know how toâ what do youâ be saying? Keep it cute? Iâm hip as fuck!âÂ
âOh god,â she giggles, wrapping her arms tightly around him, ignoring his chuckle that buried into her shoulder blade.Â
Another thought passes of wanting to be upfront with him. But the atmosphere, their moment togetherâit was too beautiful to ruin. She just hoped he didnât push about it, knowing that he could read anything on her face.Â
âDo you know how much I love you?â She questions, kissing his jaw, pecking his nose, even along his cheeks.
His eyes dart over her face as she begins to pepper all over his cheeks with kisses. She attempts to act cutesy in order to distract him from the question, knowing all too well that sheâs doing so. She was good at it too.Â
He sighs as a small smirk forms on his face, âNah, do you know how I love you?â he responds.
âMmm, as much as the moon loves the stars within the sky?â She cheekily responds, pressing her forehead against his, feeling his hand press gently along her stomach.
Toji chuckles and rolls his eyes at her dorky response, one of his hands gently rubbing at her stomach while the other rests on her hip. He smirks at her, âCorny ass. I love you more than that.âÂ
When he kisses her, it feels breathless as he holds her jaw while sucking his lips into her mouth, as if it had more meaning behind it. When he pulled back, the warmth against her face and the dumb smile along it wouldnât falter. She loved this man.Â
âNow, back to the name game. Iâm thinking Toji Jr, or Megumi-Toji-Jr, or, Toji-Megumi-Jr, yeah?âÂ
Seioni rolls her eyes. She loves him, even if he was a damn idiot.Â
As the sun sets along the island, Seioni and Toji meet the rest of her family out towards the beach, a family dinner now taking place. Her black baby tee and a long matching skirt that draped down to her ankles, orchid sandals and a matching flower along the side of her hair made her feel somewhat decentâeven if she kept glancing down at her stomachâ She waved excitedly as everyone cheered when they arrived, Toji holding her hand behind her to make sure she didnât trip within the sand.Â
He was like a baby, wanting to have a tantrum when she asked him to wear a Hawaiian button up, the man wanting to die before he put on patterned clothes. Instead she got him to wear a pair of black and white flowered swimming trunks, white long sleeve clinging to his broad frameâhe still wasnât entirely happy about it.
The group had set up a makeshift table on the sand, chairs and a checkered picnic blanket set out. The sun was setting, the ocean and sky turning into a blend of oranges and pinks, the scene quite breathtaking.Â
The family sat around the table, eating and making small talk. Toji leaned into the seat, his body relaxed and his hand rested on Seioniâs lower back. Despite them being his soon to be in-laws, Toji found her family entertaining enough, able to keep him interested with their banter back and forth.
Hula dancers suddenly appeared as they all talked, their villa's host also appearing as he welcomed them to Maui. The family was amazed as some of the girls performed fire tricks, their hips moving in ways that were more than talented. It wasnât too long before Megumi stood from where he sat next to Seioni and Toji and played in the sand, running up to them as he began to danceâwhich was jumping around in a babyâs attempts to find rhythm, giggling as the hula girls smiled at him.
The family laughed at the adorable sight before them, Toji chuckling at the little dancing Megumi, jumping around and babbling. It was extremely cute, the hula dancers all smiling and waving at the little boy.Â
âDonât think you got those moves from your non-rhythm ass daddy, huh?â Seioniâs aunt giggled.Â
âNot too much! I have rhythm!â Toji defends himself, Seioni giggling beside him.Â
Everyone was now upâ her brother flirting his way into getting one of the Hula girls' numbers, her mom pulling her dad up to dance with her, and her aunt recording Megumi as she shouted, âGo Meg! Go Meg!âÂ
Seioni hadnât felt this happy in a while. As she turned her head to kiss Toji, a hula girl came forward, pulling her up off the sand to dance with her, trying to teach her the movement of her hips.Â
Seioni giggled, her cheeks warm as she followed, raising her hands above her body as she twisted her hips to follow the music that played.
Toji couldnât help but smile at her as he watched her follow along with the hula girl. Her body moved in a fluid motion, hips twisting and swaying. Tojiâs smile only grew wider, the joy and twinkle in her eyes making his heart skip in his chest. She looked so happy and so free, as if nothing in the world could get in her way.Â
His eyes darkened in a different way as he watched how she looked in her tight skirt and top, the way it hugged her curves. He loved her in more ways than one, but at times it felt like he was digging his nails into the surface, trying to hold back a side of him she knew the first night sheâd met him. He was becoming impatient, and he was an extremely patient man.
Seioni was now dancing with Megumi, spinning him around playfully. When her Aunt Celeste wanted the baby all to herself, Seioni brought her attention back towards Toji as she leaned down with her arms out, gesturing for him to dance with her.
Toji rolled his eyes slightly as he was pulled to his feet, his hand gripping her as their bodies pressed close together. He chuckled, wrapping one arm around her hips while his other hand gripped hers as they began to sway, his eyes gazing down at her.Â
âYou really just canât get enough of me, huh, woman?â
âNever. Itâs unfortunate, isnât it?âÂ
She sighs, wrapping her arms around his neck, giggling as he pulls her sandals on top of his shoes, twisting her around and holding her up by them. He leans down as he brings his lips to her neck, a small gasp leaving her lips as she feels his palm slam on her ass, pulling her eyes up as she shrieks, âFushiguro!â
âDonât act like that. They know how you got pregnant in the first place.âÂ
âIâm putting a muzzle on you for the rest of the time here,â she tells him, âYouâre not being good.â
His eyebrow raises, mischief glistening in his eyes as he chuckles at the threat. He leans in closer, his nose almost bumping against hers.Â
âLet me start barking then.â
She rolls her eyes, leaning her face up to kiss him, âKeep talking shit, maybe Iâll put a muzzle on my mouth and youâll be using that hand all week.â
He raises an eyebrow, âA muzzle on you, huh? Thatâs some freaky shit. Ooh, girl, youâre nasty.â
Seioni giggles as he fully picks her up and spins her around, kissing away their entire conversation. The family spent hours along the beach, the night nearly going into dawn when they made it back to the villa. Toji felt like heâd been hit by a train, the jet-lag and overall tiredness he felt hitting him all at once as they made their way to bed.
Megumi was sleeping with Celeste, while Nova and her parents had their own rooms, leaving Toji and Seioni alone to themselves. His hand rubbed her stomach until she fell asleep, finally allowing his own eyes to close once he knew she was comfortable.Â
âŠBut just as he was deep within his rest, a knock came pounding at their door. It felt like heâd just closed his eyes.Â
âGood morning Love Birds, weâre all going to breakfast!âÂ
Her mom calls through the door. When she doesnât hear anything, she knocks again. Still silent. She then makes the decision to open the door without asking permission, walking towards the bed as she tugged at the covers along their feet.
âI know yâall hear me!â
Seioni groans softly, her eyes blinking open to see her mom standing at the end of the bed. She says to her softly, âHi, mommy.â
As she turns, she sees Toji is also awakeâpractically giving her mom the death stare, his eyes only peeking above the covers, pulling Seioni closer to him.Â
âThe fuck?â he grumbled, still glaring.
âToji,â she scolded softly, tapping his chest at his reaction, âWeâll be down there in a minute, mom.â
ââThe fuck I am,â he disagreed under his breath, deepening himself under the covers.
âHurry up! I love me some French toast, itâll be gone in seconds!â
With that, her mom slams the door, Toji almost wanting to throw something against the wall at all the loud sounds imploding his ears.
Seioni sighs, running a hand over her face as she murmurs, âWhat time is it?â
âToo early to be having motherfuckers slamming the door open talking about some dumb ass French toast,â Toji mutters back, immensely irritated.Â
âHey, thatâs my momma youâre talking about, jackass. Tighten up,â she flicks his nose, âWhy are you so grumpy? Youâ literally get up at the ass crack of dawn to go to work. Whatâs so different now?â
âBecause? Iâm not at work right now?â His voice held a grumpy tone, obviously not amused by her motherâs sudden appearance.Â
His eyes narrowed as he looked up at her, âHow the hell can you even act so calm right now? You hate your sleep being interrupted.â
âBecause weâre on vacation and should enjoy every moment we have together, Fushiguro,â she pulls his face up to meet hers, squeezing his cheeks as she says, âLighten up, Muffin?âÂ
His hands reach up to take a hold of her wrists, his irritation only building, âNo.â he says firmly.Â
âMean ass,â she insults, âMaybe you do need some breakfast.â
His eyes peek open at that. When he glances down at her appearance, scarf around her hair and in his jersey, the vanilla spray she spritzed on herself before they went to sleep inhaled his sensesâthis is when he found her most attractive.Â
Maybe he did need to relax. His eyes darken as he comes closer, his lips along her neck as he sucks at the skin, coming up as he latches a kiss against her mouth.Â
He grunts, âYouâre right. Open your fuckinâ legs, Iâm hungry.âÂ
Her body tenses up as he kisses her, his hand along her belly making her want to squirm. What if she wasnât as seductive as she used to be?Â
She was doing her best to keep up with him, that much he knew. He could feel it in the kisses, the way her body reacted to his touch. But she wasnât fully giving herself to him. He wanted more from her. He needed that hunger that he knew she was holding backâHe needed her to be as desperate as he was.Â
He let out a low growl between their kisses, clutching her hair within his fingers as he tugged her head back, licking the skin of her throat. She whimpers softly, âTojiâŠâ
âQuit holding back,â he murmurs against her skin. He can feel her breath hitch again, her body trembling in his grip, âLet me make you feel good.â
A soft moan comes from her lips as she grabs his hair in her fingers, head falling back as she tries to relax her body. For a moment she felt okay. But when she notices how he has to hover over her to not hit her belly, her insecurities come crumbling onto her.Â
It was also right on time, another knock coming to the door as her mom calls, âI know yâall donât want me to bust in this damn room again!âÂ
She stopped him. Pressing her hand against his jaw to push him back, she says softly, âMaybe we should just go get breakfast.â
Knock, knock, knock.Â
His eyes narrow, irritation returning, this time for a completely different reason. This was the last thing he wanted. He was finally getting somewhere with her, she was finally letting herself go, and now they were being interrupted again.Â
âFuckinâ hell.âÂ
She sighs, âI donât need the house cussing us out, everyone has to eat together in my family,â she briefly explains, âPlusâŠmy belly is kindaâŠin the wayâŠâÂ
She brushes her self deprecating thoughts away as she sighs, âLets just go.âÂ
ââThe fuck are you talking about?â
She ignores that question. Now standing from the bed, she removes her scarf as her braids come falling around her face, edges still sculpted perfectly as she pulls on some house slippers, going to the bathroom to brush her teeth.
His eyes follow her as she stands, his mood now more than just sour. She really thinks that his thoughts have changed because of a baby bump? He loves her, and nothing about her looks or her body would ever change that.Â
But just like herâhe wasnât in the mood to argue. He swings himself off the bed, running a hand through his messy black hair. His irritation grew the more he thought about her comment.
When they finally make their way into the kitchen's dining area, Seioni politely greets the workers as they place their food against the table, Toji glaring behind her as he sits, quickly greeting the family, âMorning.âÂ
He sees Megumi sitting at the table with Celeste, rubbing his eyes as he whines softly. When he sees Toji, he raises his arms up, the first time of him wanting his fatherâs attention since theyâve been here.
He looks to her aunt, âDid you wake him up?â
âWe did. Eating together is tradition, that includes sleeping babies! We woke Seioni and Nova up every morning around this time to eat breakfast, tired or not. You have to get used to getting up early,â SaanaĂ tells him.Â
âHe has trouble sleeping, I donât need him waking up if heâs finally asleep. That makes him irritated throughout the day, and he wonât stop fussing,â Toji says, voice filled with annoyance from what Seioni could read. She lightly places her hand over his.
Her touch manages to calm him down a bit, although his irritation was still there. He was just happy that at least she was calm, he didnât want her stress levels to go up.
âHeâll be okay, nothing a pacifier canât fix!â Her aunt then chimes in, an uncomfortable tension now in the air.Â
Seioni then lightly passes, âWeâre trying to get him off the pacifier, Aunt Celeste.âÂ
Her mom takes a fork, digging it into her toast as she shrugs, âHeâs a baby. No need to do all that extra shit and go by his schedule, youâre the parent. Heâs gonna cry regardless. Let him.â
Seioni presses her lips into her mouth. Here they go, she thought.
As she went to respond to that, Toji leaned forward as Megumi still had his hands out for him, the two year old whining as he cradled into his fathers arms. He leaned his head against his shoulder with his thumb now in his mouth.
How was she going to tell him how to raise his own fucking kid?Â
Seioni looks to her father and brother, knowing how her aunt and mom could be. They thankfully catch her quiet call for help as Noel says, âSo, whatâs the plans for today, Oniâ?âÂ
âI was thinking me and Toji could look at some venues in Maui, I really am thinking about a wedding along the beach, as long as it isnât too hot,â she tells them with a soft smile, clutching her fingers in Tojiâs thatâs under the table, feeling the tense in his body.Â
âYouâre doing that today?â Her aunt blinks, âGirl, we have plenty of time for that. Why donât we go jet-skiing! Or swim with the turtles?â
âOoh! Jet-skiing sounds nice as hell!â Her mom agrees, the both of them clinking their mimosas together.
Nova then chimes in, âYeah, momma. That sounds cool. But you wouldnât wanna go see some beach venues?â He tries to reel both women back in, seeing as this is what his sister wants, and Tojiâs eyes narrow as they try to force their itineraries on her.
âNot really. A beach wedding is simple anyways, honey,â Seioniâs mom shakes her head, âYour father married me in a beautiful cathedral, with angels, cherubs and renaissance paintings all against the walls. You should want more than that.â
That makes Seioni blink for a moment, her hand going lax in Tojiâs. She knew how her mom could be, wanting things for herself and putting them onto her daughter, she just wished this wasnât the time she did that.
His fingers twitch under the table, his irritation only growing as the conversation continued. How could they just disregard her? Didnât they care about what she wanted?
âWell, umâmaybe you guys can just go jet-ski and me and Toji will look for venues?â She then suggests, âYou can take Megumi, Iâm sure heâd enjoy the water way more.â
âGirl, this is a family vacation, meaning weâre all supposed to be together. Youâre coming,â her mom finalizes, her aunt then saying, âToast to that!â The both of them once again clinking those stupid ass mimosas. They were obviously tipsy.Â
Eyes fall onto Toji who then stands from the table, holding Megumi as he says, âIâm gonna go try to feed him upstairs and put him down for a nap.âÂ
Seioni could feel her fiancĂ©es annoyance. She could feel the frustration radiating off of him. But she knew he was trying to hold his mouth for the sake of her family.Â
She gives him a weak smile as she says, âOkay,â accepting the peck of his lips against hers before he makes his way upstairs.
âToji can be a grumpy ass man it seems,â her mom points out, not realizing how irritating sheâs being.Â
âItâs just hard for us to get Megumi to sleep at times, Momma. Him being woken up this early dismisses the schedule we have him on,â she tries to explain.
âHeâll be okay,â her mom waves her hand, âThereâs a lot weâre going to be doing, you both just need to relax a little bit.â
"And it's not all about Megumi," her aunt adds, "You have to think about us. We want to spend time with you, too."
Her eyes narrow slightly as she tries not to get riled up, "I knowâŠâ
Her mom takes a sip of her mimosa, her voice lowering, "But just think, is your fiancĂ©e seriously gonna be happy with a beach wedding?"Â
Seioni can feel her shoulders tense as her mom puts doubt into her mind. She can see what sheâs trying to doâmaybe itâs starting to work.
âHeâs happy with whatever I want, Mom,â she pulls a braid behind her ear, âThe whole reason we came to Maui was because he knew this was one of my places I wanted to get married.â
"Really?" Her aunt's voice is a mix between disbelief and surprise. "That man is happy with whatever you want?"Â
Her mom shakes her head, "You really have him whipped, huh?"
âI need to get my husband like that,â her mom then laughs loudly, her aunt then chiming in, âI need all three of my men on my knees like he is!â
âSaanaĂ ,â Seioniâs father scolds, Nova pulling out his phone to dismiss himself from this entire conversation.
Seioni blinks back and forth between them, feeling herself becoming irritated as well. If she let them go on for too long, they started berating everyone around. It wasnât fun.Â
Seioni presses her lips into her mouth as she says, âIâm gonna go take my medicine, we can meet back down here in the next hour for jet-skiingâŠor swimming with the turtles, yeah?â
Her mom gives her a sly smile, taking another sip of her mimosa, "Mhm, sounds like a plan, honey. Take your meds and we'll see you soon."Â
Seioni's dad places his hand on her shoulder, Nova looking up from his phone, giving her a nod, agreeing that everything would be fine. Hopefully.
She could hear her mom and aunt both say, âBeach weddingâŠâ another laugh, another clink of those fucking mimosas.Â
As she makes her way upstairs, she opens the door to see Toji sitting at the end of the bed with Megumi as he holds a bowl of eggs towards him, the tv along the wall playing a cartoon that they usually watched together.Â
Toji raised the scrambled eggs in his hand as he gestured to the baby, âEat-eat?â
Megumi stares at the bowl in front of him, his eyes wide as he glances between Toji and the eggs. There's hesitation on his expression, as if he isn't sure if he wants to eat the food or not. Then his stomach growls, and he makes a face.
âNo, Eat-Eat,â he pouts, rubbing his eyes, getting eggs within his hair as his tiny fingers rub his face.Â
âEat, eat,â Toji says again, a hint of impatience in his voice. He tries to guide the spoonful of eggs closer to Megumi's mouth, but the little boy turns his head away, refusing to open.
Seioni sighs as she closes the door. Toji looks at her, watching as she crosses her arms over her chest, a blank stare in her face as she keeps her eyes against the floor. The entire tables conversation replays in her headâshe felt like this trip was slowly taking a turn.Â
âNo hungry, Oniâ,â Megumi says to her, pushing the spoon away that Toji holds to him.Â
Seioni sighs, âEat-eat, Meggie. Then, go to bed? Yeah?â
Megumi blinks again, a deeper pout coming on his olive cheeks, skin deepening in red as tears gloss his eyes. He pouts, âPaci,â his own way of trying to say Pacifier. Toji shakes his head, âDonât want you to cry, papa. Please eat-eat.â
He sniffles, leaning forward as he opens his mouth, Toji making a blowing sound with his lips to gain his attention, pushing the spoon within his mouth as he finally accepts the eggs. He watches as Megumi then takes the small bowl he has, beginning to mush the eggs together before shoving them into his mouth, crumbs falling all along the bed.
âYouâ good?â Toji then takes his attention towards Seioni.Â
She presses her lips in as she nods, âYeah. Iâm fine.â
"You don't look fine," he says bluntly, his eyes lingering. He knows her better than that.
âIâm justâŠmy mom and my aunt are just drinking too much,â she brushes off, âThatâs all. I donât want Meggie to be irritated and sleepy all day, I justâŠwanna go look at venues.â
"We'll go look at venues," he assures her, his voice gentle. "We can go to every fuckinâ venue on this beach, baby. Whatever you want.â
Seioni takes in another breath. She wanted this vacation to be perfect, and for everyone to be happy. She didnât want to be a pregnant bridezilla.Â
She shakes her head, giving a fake smile as she sighs, âWeâll go jet-skiing, and swim with the turtles. Itâll be fun! We can check out the venues tomorrow.â
Itâs unfortunate he could see right through her.Â
"You sure about that, sunshine?" he asks, his voice laced with sarcasm. "We donât have to do anything you donât want to, and you can tell your family that. You donât have to be scared of them.â
She glances over to Megumi whoâs now laying on her side of the bed, slowly dozing off as he keeps his eyes upon the show he watches.Â
She crosses her arms again as she frowns, âWho said I was scared? Iâm a grown ass woman, Fushiguro.â
âI didnât say you werenât. But you donât have to let them walk over you.â
âAnd Iâm not?â
âOkay.â
âOkay, so drop it.â
âOkay.â
âOkay.âÂ
With that, she ignores the smack on his lips, Toji standing to shower, going around her as he pulls his shirt off of his upper body. She doesnât even jump as the door slams behind him. She keeps her arms crossed, feeling like this was their first argument since theyâd been here. This wasnât going as well as she thought it would.
The disagreement between her and Toji made her feel weird. She didnât like fighting with him, and now silence filled the tension for the next hour as they got ready for a day at the beach. She thought about her family, her mom, her aunt, she just wished that everyone was on one accord. But more importantly, she didnât want to be at odds with Toji.Â
She watched as Megumi was now fully dressed but asleep on the bed, Toji still within the shower as she was left alone to stare at herself. She stood in a royal blue bikini top and bottom, golden seashells clasped beneath the material under her breasts. She turned to the side, seeing her belly poking out in a way that made her feel huge. She could feel her eyes watering.Â
Why couldnât she stop feeling like this? Why did she wish she was within her regular body, feeling confident and sexy? For herself? For her fiancĂ©e? For herself?
She pulled her hair behind her ear as she heard the bathroom open, now feeling Tojiâs broad frame beside her, his arms coming around from behind. Her body immediately leaned back against him.
She said softly, âI feel likeâŠI donât belong in this bikini.â
His muscles flex as he pulls her in closer to him. He leans down, his chin resting on her shoulder as he looks at her through the mirror.Â
"Why do you say that?" he asks, his voice gruff but gentle. "You look fuckinâ perfect, baby."
She keeps her eyes down, not wanting to make herself cry, âI donât knowâŠmaybe I should put something else on.â
"You don't have to put something else on," he says, his voice low. He brings his arm around her shoulders and neck, kissing her ear as he says, âYouâre the most gorgeous woman on the planet.âÂ
She holds onto his arm, âYou have to say that. Youâll be my husband soon.âÂ
âAnd Iâll say it a million times until you know I mean everything I say. Cut that self-deprecation shit out.â
She jumps lightly as she feels his palm slam along her ass, a breathless laugh leaving her lips as she rubs the tears that are trying to form in her eyes.
âIâm okay,â she convinces herself, bringing her eyes up as she says, âYou look nice.â
Toji smirks as she glances up at him through the mirror, her eyes raking over his bare chest and the towel hanging low on his hips. Itâs obvious how sheâs trying to change the subject, but he doesnât mind.Â
âDonât start flirting with me now, Iâll blush like a school boy,â he teases, his eyes glimmering with mischief as he grins at her reflection.
She laughs softly, leaning her face into his arm, inhaling the scent of his cologne. She then whispers, âI donâtâŠI donât like when we fight.â
âNeither do I,â he agrees, his voice quieter now. âYouâre not scared of your family,â he says, repeating the point he made earlier, âBut donât let them walk all over you, yeah?â
She nods her head, tilting her head to look back at him, âYou love me? You wonât throw me into the ocean with the fish?â
Toji grins down at her, his eyes sparkling as he leans his face closer to hers. âI love you, momma. More than you know,â He then chuckles lightly, pretending to ponder over her question. âI may throw you in the water later, though.â
She rolls her eyes, leaning up as she kisses him again.Â
The rest of the day had gone more pleasant than either of them expected, assuming the chaos of this morning would roll over into the day. Instead, the family enjoyed their time together. They went out to the water to jet ski, Seioniâs mom and her father on one, Nova by himself, and Toji pulling a fearful Seioni on his own while Celeste and Megumi watched from the boatâCeleste taking videos, per usual. Seioni shrieked as they sped on the vehicle, holding onto him tightly as he perfectly maneuvered throughout the crisp water.
He gunned the engine, causing the jet ski to leap forward, Seioniâs screams and giggles piercing the air. Everyone cheered as they coasted along the water, exploring the sight of the island, seeing the beauty of it from this perspective. When they were back on land they tried out Hawaiian snacks, Seioni for a moment seeing her mother and Toji getting along, cracking jokes with one another in a way that made her happy. She knew him, her brother and her father would immediately click. But to see Toji become close with her mom and aunt, it made her feel warm.
As the sun began to set and the sky turned brilliant hues of orange, pink, and gold, Seioni's family gathered for a barbecue dinner on the beach. They had cooked burgers and hot dogs on grills and set out side dishes and beverages on a long table. Toji sat next to Seioni, one arm around her chair as they all enjoyed the meal together.
In the soft flickering light of the torches and the glow of the sunset, Seioni found herself feeling a sense of peace and contentment that she hadn't expected to feel on this vacation.
They laid out along the sand as they were in a vicious game of Uno, her aunt and mom on their third fruity drinks, giggling as they talked shit to each other.Â
Seioni rolled her eyes as she put down her card, âThe color isâŠred!â
Toji laughed as Seioni declared the color, her aunt and mom groaning with frustration. The game had been going on for a while now, with all of them getting progressively more competitive as the drinks continued to flow.Â
"You guys need to pay attention," Seioni teased, unable to contain her smirk as she watched her mom and aunt pout. SaanaĂ rolled her eyes, taking a sip of her drink as she said, "We're trying."
Her aunt chimed in with a scoff, "Yeah. It's not our fault that the colors are confusing, especially at night."
Toji chimed in, his voice laced with amusement, "Or maybe yâall are just tipsy as hell.â
âRed looks orange to me!â Celeste shook her head, Nova saying, âOrange isnât even a color!â
The group burst out laughing at that. As they continued to place their cards down, Megumi sat beside Toji, playing in the sand. He stood on his small feet to get a better leverage on the castle Toji had helped him make earlier, but as he leaned against the sand, he began tugging at the shorts he wore, reaching for his diaper.
Seioni notices him tugging at his bottoms, calling him as she asks, âMeggie, go potty?â
He looked at her, nodding vigorously, âPotty.âÂ
He attempted to get up, but his small feet immediately sank back into the sand, causing him to lose his balance and stumble back down. Toji chuckled, reaching out to scoop him into his arms as he swiftly tugged his diaper open, catching a waft of stench in the babyâs pants.Â
âFuckinâ hell, Meg. Why didnât you say potty? You donât want to get a rash,â he talks more to himself, knowing Megumi couldnât actually respond. Megumi babbles, wrapping his arms around Tojiâs neck to hide himself, always becoming shy when he had an accident, knowing theyâd been trying to get him on the toilet.Â
âThatâs because he can barely speak to say he needs to shit. Maybe yâall shouldâve taught him that,â Seioniâs mom says, and it almost feels like an insult. With the way everyone went quiet, it probably was.Â
âMom,â Seioni warns, âHeâs two. Heâs not gonna speak like the rest of us. He makes gestures when he needs something.âÂ
âOh donât give me that age bullshit, you and Nova knew how to speak perfectly at two. Knew colors. Even could count to fifty. Itâs about the parent, and their lack of teaching to their child.â
Toji narrows his eyes, letting his mouth draw first as he questions, âThe fuck is that supposed to mean?âÂ
âToji,â Seioni scolds.
âMy kid is doing perfectly fuckinâ fine, last time I checked,â Toji sharply replies, âWeâre good as fuck over here.â
"The toilet exists yet he still shits himself!" Her mom retorts back, and Toji has to bite his tongue, holding back the urge to curse this woman out.Â
âJust say he isnât fully developed. You donât have to give excuses, we can teach him something you might not be able to,â SaanaĂ finalizes, taking another sip of her wine cooler.Â
Luckily, Seioniâs dad interrupts the growing tensionâbefore Toji can rip this womanâs head offâhis gentle voice trying to diffuse the situation. "Hey, hey. Let's not start fighting. Meggie's just fine.â
Seioni then agrees with a frown, âHeâs doing just fine for his age. Youâre tipsy.â
âDonât tell me what the fuck I am, little girl! Iâm a grown ass woman, I can drink when I wanna drink!â
âDonât think âcause you got a lilâ family you can start talking to us crazy!â Her aunt pipes in.Â
Seioni presses her lips together, watching as Toji then stands from his spot, taking Megumi as they begin making their way back towards the villa. He was upset with her for not only saying anything back to her family, but not defending him, knowing if he defended himself it would cause problems.
Her brother helps her stand from her spot before she follows Toji back into the villa, making her way upstairs as she finds him changing Megumiâs diaper.Â
âBabyââ
âNah. Donât do that, Seioni. You know that shit was disrespectful as fuck.â
âI know that,â she says back, stepping farther into the door.
âYou just sat there and let them say that about Megumi? What the hell is wrong with you?â
Seioniâs eyebrows lower, ââThe fuck do you mean by that? I canât control my momâs mouth, nor my aunts. I didnât expect them to say any of that, Fushiguro.â
âIt ainât âbout your mom,â Toji snaps, his jaw clenching as his tone gets louder. He hates how sheâs now addressing him by his last name, and with an annoyed grunt, he adds, âYou couldâve at least said something about it. Defend us. Me. Something.â Â
âYouâre a grown ass man, Fushiguro. You couldâve told them something, you didnât seem too afraid to start snapping up on my mom the minute she started talking about Megumi. Letâs talk about your disrespectful, big headed ass!â She insults, coming closer to him, her head tilting up as he towers over her frame.
Toji scoffs, the corner of his lip lifting up in a sneer. âMy disrespectful, big headed ass? My disrespectful ass??â
âHow about your disrespectful ass not saying anything when your mom insults our family. Thatâs what has me pissed. You didnât stick up for your own motherfuckinâ so-called husband.âÂ
Theyâre going back and forth, not realizing that the rest of the family has entered the house. Her aunt and mother are too in their own world to hear the argument, her father trying to sober them up as her brother overhears.Â
Nova quickly comes upstairs as he then says, âHey, uhâI can take Megumi downstairs, Iâm gonna make some smoothies, I think heâll like it?â Trying to make sure the baby wasnât within the room for their argument.
Tojiâs eyes dart towards her brother as he appears, watching as he extends his hands towards Meg, reaching to pick him up. Toji nods and hands the child gently over to him, watching as he leaves the room.Â
When heâs out of sight, Tojiâs attention turns back to Seioni, focusing his scowl back on her. His face is stern, his hand running through his hair as he speaks, his voice quieter.Â
âYou shouldâve said something. Anything, Seioni.âÂ
âSo all of this is my fault? Letâs not act like you donât have a fuckinâ mouth on you that I have to constantly put on a leash. What she said was wrong, but to point fingers at me? Fuck that, and fuck you!â
Those words hit right where he didnât want them to, and a bitter laugh leaves his lips as he shakes his head.Â
âThis is what the fuck I was talking about. Iâve been so patient with your family. Your mom. Your aunt. Waking me up early as fuck as if Iâve slept, letting them walk all over you and tell you what to do as if you arenât a grown ass woman. My fuckinâ woman. And now, telling me how to raise my kid? Iâve really been sparing your ass on the civil fact that I donât want to get into it with your people. I love you too much to do that.â
âOh, Iâm supposed to be thankful on account of that? For not cussing out my mom and aunt? Man of the fuckinâ year, arenât you?â She tilts her head, her body practically fuming as she becomes more pissed off, âYouâre right. Theyâre a pain in the ass, I know that. Youâre smart as fuck to not fix your mouth to say some slick shit to my momma. But instead of taking your lashings out on me, be a man and tell them that yourself! You can use your words without talking out of your neck, Fushiguro!âÂ
âI am a fuckinâ man!â He shouts, âA man wouldnât talk out the side of his neck to your family! Iâm trying not to act an ass, but youâre taking me there. Theyâre taking me there. Stop talking to me like Iâm stupid as fuck, Seioni.âÂ
Seioni nearly flinches back at his tone, the anger seeping between them implausible. It's evident heâd been feeling like this for a while, and the reaction was worse than she wanted it to be. When she goes to open her mouth, itâs cut off by the sudden sound of screaming coming from downstairsâthey belonged to Megumi.Â
The both of them take off without question. When they take sight of the living room, they see Megumi standing in the middle of the marble, holding his arm thatâs welted red.
âWhat happened?â Toji snarls, Seioni immediately picking him up, her heart beating as she says, âWhat happened to your arm?â
âI looked away for two seconds and his little bad ass put one of his toys in the toilet, and now itâs overflowed!â Her aunt shouts, the look on her brother and fatherâs face full of shock.
âDid you hit him?â Seioniâs eyes go wide, Megumiâs heavy crying filling her ear as he leans into her chest.
Toji thought he was going to have to kill someone. He saw red, only focused on the welt within his childâs arm. He looks to her mom as he squints, âHave you lost your fuckinâ mind? Why would you hit him? My fuckinâ child? Are you fuckinâ stupid?â
âHe needs to learn! Yâall donât seem to be teaching him shit! putting goddamn toys in the toiletââ
âThat's for me to teach him!â Toji yells, deep voice having the entire villa shake, âYou donât get to tell me what the fuck to do about my kid! You and your insolent ass sister have too much liquor in your fuckinâ systems to have some sense!âÂ
âAye, watch your fuckinâ mouth when youâre talking to my mom,â Nova warns, Seioniâs brother now glaring at Toji.
Toji was done.
âOr what, huh? âThe fuck are you gonna do?â Tojiâs fists clenched, his muscles becoming tense as he looked at Nova. âYou wanna throw hands over your mom, you go right ahead. Iâll make you swallow your motherfuckinâ teeth.âÂ
Chaos ensues at this point. Megumi was still crying, Seioni tries to hold back Toji who lunges at Nova, and Seioniâs father holds back Nova who cusses out Toji right behind her mom and aunt that do the same. She feels overwhelmed, her worst fears coming to lifeâher entire family was falling apart. It gets so bad that the villaâs host had heard them from his part of the house, coming in and taking hold of Megumi who nearly falls in Seioniâs arms from tugging at Toji.Â
âStop it!âÂ
Her voice screams out, gripping Toji fully, tears masking in her vision, her cries catching the attention of the entire familyâtheyâd never heard her raise her voice like that.
They all go silent, even Toji, who is breathing heavily. They all look at Seioni, and Toji is just surprised to be witnessing her on the verge of tears. Sheâd never looked so distraught.Â
The room is filled with silence before her voice speaks up again, this time much less aggressive, much more vulnerable, almost like she was begging to be heard.
âThis trip was supposed to be about me. Iâve been all over the place with this pregnancy, and the one thing I wanted was the support of all of you, and to enjoy my time here with my family, and yours all about to fuckinâ kill each other!âÂ
She raises her voice again, the entire room flinching, shocked to see her like this. She places her hand over her face as she sobs, trying to calm herself as she begins hyperventilating, âI didnâtâŠI didnât even get to see one venueâŠâ
The sight of her crying like this makes Tojiâs heart want to drop. He frowns, becoming more pissed off at how upset theyâve all made her.
âBabyââ
âNo, Fushiguro. Everythingâs justâŠfucking ruinedâŠâ she continues to cry, high pitched as she gasps to try to control her breathing.
Toji swallows the lump in his throat, his chest feeling heavy as she speaks. Sheâs right, this was supposed to be about her, a time for her to get away from all the stress of pregnancy and relax. But instead, they all got wrapped up in their own emotions.Â
Everyone feels a pang of guilt. The silence is heavy as Megumi blinks within the hostsâ arms, seeing Seioniâs tears, trying to understand her emotions.Â
âOniâ, sad?â
She hears the small voice, her focus now going back to him. He shouldnât have had to see the bullshit of this situation.Â
With that, she politely takes him into her arms, cradling him as she begins making her way out of the villa. Tojiâs deep voice calls for her, âSeioniâSeioni!â Â going to go after her when her father then says, âJust let her go, Toji. Sheâll be fine. She just needs time.â
Toji grinds his teeth at those words, wanting to go after her. He hates leaving her alone when sheâs upset, but her father was right. She just needed some time. But that didnât make leaving any easier.Â
He sighs, running his hand through his hair as he closes his eyes, his jaw clenching as he looks back at her family. Nova looks upset, her mom and aunt looking somewhat guilty. No one dared to speak after their outburst, so the living room remained tense.
Seioni makes her way out onto the beach, going farther than she planned for herself to. She walked for what felt like almost twenty minutes, finding a small patch of rocks, a seating area with flowers surrounding it. She sees from afar as children play by the water, placing Megumi beside her as she clumps the sand up for his attention, just needing the comfort of him knowing he wouldnât have much to say. She then sighs, watching as the sun sets, placing her hands over her belly, rubbing gently.Â
âYouâre causing havoc before you even get here, Yâknow that?â She looks down to her stomach.
The evening wind blows as the sun slowly falls, washing over Seioniâs face, which is puffy and red from her previous tears. As she sits on the little rock, she speaks to her belly, the sound of her babyâs heartbeat filling her ears as she touches her stomach. She finds herself surrounded by tranquility, the soft waves of the water and the laughter of children bringing her comfort.
She then looks at Megumi, leaning her hand out as he wraps his small fingers around her index. She says softly to him, âOniâ love Megumi. And Papa.â
Megumi takes hold of her finger, his tiny hand around her index. His large round eyes look up at her, a look of curiosity within his gaze. His little nose scrunches as he tries to say something back, but nothing comes out aside from a few babbles, making his little pink lips pursed together.
She giggles, opening her palm as he pats his hand against hers a couple of times, blowing raspberries into his other hand. All of her guilt hits her, despite everyone being the cause of their own issues. She wished her mom and aunt hadnât been so rude at times, she wishes Toji wasnât so easy to anger, but she also wishes that she had stood up for him, for Megumi. She loved them both so much, and this was now her family as well. With that, she decides to sit in silence with Megumi, watching as the sun goes down.
                       â§âËâàŒâ§âË. đŠàŒâ â§âËâàŒâ§âË. đŠàŒâ
A COUPLE HOURS HAD PASSED, and the family was becoming more nervous. When they realized that Seioni wasnât anywhere near the villa, they also found out she didnât have her phone. They sent the host to go look for her, Toji nearly about to have a nervous breakdown as he thought the worse.
âIâm sure sheâs fine, Toji,â Noel tells him, trying to get him to relax.
âShe doesnât have her phone, and sheâs on an island sheâs never been to. Pregnant. With fuckinâ Megumi,â heâs angry, heâs unsure why, he just wants to see her. Make sure sheâs okay. Was she lost?
âTalking to her while sheâs still upset wonât do anything but make shit worse,â he reminds.
Her mother and aunt sit along the couch, now drinking water instead of their usual mimosa or wine cooler. They both feel bad about the way theyâve been speaking to Seioni and her fiancĂš.Â
Her aunt sighs, âLookâweâre so sorry, Toji. Everything that happened was justâwrong. Our control issues, hitting Megumi, trying to tell you what to doâYouâre a good father, and will be an amazing husband.â
Her mom then nods her head, âSheâs right. Weâre happy to have you in our family, Toji. Weâre so sorry about everything thatâs happened.â
Toji exhales deeply, the words from her mother and aunt bringing him a sense of comfort, though he's still anxious as to when she'd return. He glances out the windows, the sun fully falling now in the distance.Â
"We can talk about this later, but I appreciate it. I just wanna make sure my wife is okay.â
âWeâ cool too, right? I only was about to fight cause you were talking crazy to my momma, although it was fair. She get on my damn nerves too, youâre cool as fuck, though,â Nova finds his way of apologizing, his mom smacking the back of his head for his words.
Toji lets out a gruff sigh and turns to Nova, giving him a small nod. He didn't blame the guy for being protective, he probably would've done the same thing. His words get a small laugh from him.Â
"Weâre good. You were trying to look out for your mom. I can't blame you for that.â
Tension comes off of everyone, and the room feels lighter. But one thing remained the sameâSeioni was still missing.Â
Another hour and a half passed, and Toji was now frustrated, still worried, but even more irritated. She entered back into the villa without saying anything, holding Megumiâs hand as she let him walk. Â
The minute she closed the door, Toji was the first one to speak up, âAnd where the fuck have you been?â
He couldnât help it. He didnât mean to be harsh, but he missed her greatly. He was scared shitless for anything to happen to her.Â
Seioni lets go of Megumi, crossing her arms over her chest as she looks at Toji, not replying to his aggression.Â
Her mom takes that notion as she stands, âHow about we all go take a walk on the beach and let these two talk, hm?â
Nova swoops Megumi into his arms, everyone practically flying out of the houseâincluding the hostâclosing the door behind themselves. Seioni then begins making her way upstairs, Toji nearly breaking his neck as he watches her walk away from him, saying nothing. He of course follows behind her.
âSo Iâm not talking right now? âThe fuck am I being ignored for?â
âIâm fine, Toji. Okay? Iâm fine, you see? Iâm here,â she clarifies, âI just needed space.â
"You've been gone for damn near three hours. Excuse me for being worried.â He snaps back, his worry slowly becoming anger. He steps closer towards her, his voice still low.Â
âWhat if something happened? You didnât have your phone, alone on an fuckinâ islandââ
Her usual response wouldâve been to snap back at him. But she can see the tense in his shoulders, the drain in his face. She comes forward, bringing her hands to his face as she pulls him down, âHey,â she says softly, âIâm fine, Fushiguro.âÂ
She knows heâs not angry at herâ he was terrifiedâand didnât know how to show it. She can feel him nearly shaking, wrapping her arms around his neck as she inhales his scent.
She says quietly, âI missed you too.â
When she grabs his face, he almost flinches, not anticipating the action. But as soon as she speaks, his shoulders slightly relax.Â
He feels her arms around his neck, and his arms instinctively go to her waist, his hands grabbing her hips as he tugs her body against his. He buries his face into her neck, breathing her in as he feels himself shake. His voice is hoarse as he talks, not pulling away from her just yet.Â
âI was scared as hell.â
âIâm sorry,â she apologizes, âI justâŠneeded time to think.âÂ
Her tone makes him replay everything thatâs happened on this trip, and he feels guilty, wishing he wouldâve been more upfront about his feelings, wishing it hadnât gotten this far.
âIâm sorry too,â he says, his voice quiet. His hands tighten around her hips as he moves his face close to hers. âI shouldâve been honest.â
She then pulls him back down, clutching him as if she feels like he would pull away at any second. She muffles into his shirt, âYouâre a great dadâplease know that. Youâll be an equally amazing husband, baby.â
He closes his eyes and buries his face back into her neck, his chest rising and falling as he tries to slow his racing heart. Her words bring comfort to him, and they make him feel better, but he canât stop feeling guilty about whatâs happened.Â
âI love you. I love you so fuckinâ much,â he grunts into her neck.
âI love you too,â she says softly, âIâm sorry Iâve also beenâŠdistant. Iâm justâIâm not used to this whole pregnancy thing. I feel likeâŠIâm not as attractive as I used to be.â
He listens intently as she speaks, feeling her breath against his neck. He pulls back to look at her, seeing the look of vulnerability across her features. It makes his chest clench tighter, seeing the insecurity in her eyes.Â
âYou are,â he says, his voice firm yet soft, âYouâre sexy as hell, baby. You couldnât change that even if you wanted to.â He gently touches her face, his eyes staring into hers.
Here go those tears sheâd been trying to hold. Seioni gives a weak laugh as she quickly tries to wipe face, Toji brushing her cheek as he drags his hands down to her throat, clutching her forward, his eyes growing dark as he can feel she doesnât believe his words. Â
He grunts, âCâmere,â clutching her lips under his mouth. The aggression makes Seioniâs breath hitch, her tears spraying along her cheeks as she feels his body radiating a feeling she hadnât endured in a whileâlust. And he had been so patient with her.
âTojiââ
Her voice is of a desperation he hadnât heard in a while, her legs feeling weak as his lips are against her neck, quipping a match along her skin, blazing a fire within him. God, heâs missed the sound of her.
The way his body heats up as he kisses her, he canât help but feel overwhelmed with desire, and it only gets worse the more tears fall down her cheeks. He has to show her what she means to him.Â
She squeals lightly as he effortlessly wraps her legs around his hips, carrying her over towards the bed. Her eyes stare right across from the large mirror within their room. Her reflection. A heart beat thumps in Seioniâs chest as he raises her legs over his shoulders, dropping down onto his knees, ache, hunger within his eyes as hers are closed.Â
âKeep your fuckinâ eyes open. Look at me.â
Her gasp couldâve shaken the house. He shoved her dress back, his tongue instantly dragging up her core, moaning against her like she was a desert he hadnât tasted in a while.Â
âBeen wanting your pussy in my mouth since we got here, Baby. Fuck.âÂ
Seioni legs tremble to where she couldnât control them, eyes rolling to the back of her head as she gripped his hair, kneeling back as her chest faltered. His head bobs up and down, slurping against her pussy in a way that makes a loud sound against the room. Her body quivers as she whimpers, âOâOhâfâfuck, baby.â
Toji growls against her, the vibrations sending shudders through her body. His hands move to grip her thighs, holding her in place as he continues to devour her. He pulls back momentarily, panting heavily as he looks up at her. "You're so fuckinâ wet," he groans, his fingers tracing circles on her inner thigh. âI missed the taste of you."Â
Seioniâs body buzzes as his head quickly dips back down between her legs, his tongue delving inside of her once again. He uses one hand to spread her opening wider, allowing his tongue to explore every inch of her. He licks and sucks at her clit, nipping lightly at the sensitive flesh before moving lower to lap at her entrance.
She feels flustered, her face warm as she looks at herself within the mirror. Her large belly, her flushed cheeks. She closes her eyes again. Her heart skips a beat when she feels one of his hands snake up through her body, pulling her face right to the mirror across from them, spreading her legs wider.Â
His free hand reaches around to cup one of her breasts, thumb rubbing over her nipple through the fabric of her dress. He leans in, his breath hot against her ear as he whispers, "So beautiful... I want to fuck you everywhere..."
Her breath hitches in response, âBaby, IâŠâÂ
âThatâs not my name,â Toji grunts, bringing his face back down, sucking her clit into his mouth, groaning as he shakes his head from side to side, digging his lips deeper against her arousal that begins collecting against his jaw.Â
He holds her leg up by the ankles now, âLook at me eating your pussy, fuckinâ love every second of it. You taste like heaven. Canât fuckinâ get enough of you.âÂ
She nearly throws her hands over her face, the warmth going into pure heat as she whimpers, âStop it, Fushiguro,â shuddering as he deeply kisses her core, dragging his tongue down to her opening.Â
âShut the fuck up. Gonna put my tongue in you so deep, baby. Wanna see you squirt on my face. I miss that shit.â
She gasps, placing her hands back in his hair as he does exactly what he promised, spitting against her core before he takes it back into his mouth. He then pulls back, sticking his tongue out as he pushes it into her opening, listening to it squelch. He moans right when she moans, spreading her legs wider, rolling his jaw forward as he fucks his mouth deeper into her.
Toji continues to feast on Seioni's wet folds. He can't get enough of her taste, his tip throbbing painfully against his pants. The sounds she makes only serve to spur him on, driving him wild with lust. He feels her grip his hair tightly, her hips bucking against his face as she tries to chase her release.
He pulls back momentarily, panting heavily as he stares up at her. His eyes are glazed with desire, his lips glistening with her juices. He grins wickedly as he sees the desperation in her eyes, his own need mirrored there. "Not gonna stop until you cum all over my face," he growls, diving back in with renewed vigor.
The feeling is all too intense for her, body shaking as she messily groans, âMmmâfâfuck,â it transferring out into a gasp and whine, her lower body relaxing as she cums into his mouth, not giving her enough time to enjoy the feeling of him eating at her. The reaction makes him arrogantly chuckle, her body jumping more as he spanks her in response, âOoh, thatâs fuckinâ good baby. Youâre sensitive. Youâre gonna cum on my dick just like that.â
She feels like she could black out at any moment, holding onto him for dear life as he brings his attention back up to her clit. He then takes two of his fingers, sliding them deep into her. Her pussy pushes out air as a reaction, her head falling back as she whines in response, staring down as she whimpers, âFushiguroâŠâ
"So fuckinâ tight," he groans, his free hand reaching down to unzip his pants. His tip springs free, already leaking pre-cum, needing her.
âFingers feel too big,â she whimpers, the longing of anything inside her making her feel a pinch at just his fingersâshe wasnât sure what she could handle.Â
âIâm gonna stretch your shit out, give you the dick youâve been crying for,â he grunts, his fingers slamming into her, sloshing against her walls, erogenous and fluttering around his palm.Â
âMissed your fuckinâ pussy, baby,â he leans down, giving a gentle kiss on her thigh, âYouâ missed me?âÂ
Seioni let out a deep breath, nodding her head as she whimpered out, âMissed you so much, baby.â
His eyes go dark, reminding her, âThatâs not my name. Youâ know my fuckinâ name. Say that shit.â
She felt herself falling apart already, her mind and body feeling fuzzy as she spreads her legs wider, âKeep eating my pussy,â she begs to him, another spank palming along the back of her thigh.
His eyes came up, âYouâre begging me now?âÂ
She nods her head, âWant it so bad,â she whimpers.Â
âNo you donât. Keep fuckinâ begging.â
She holds him by his hair, grinding her pussy against his face, sucking air into her mouth as his tongue delves in and out of her, the spread of her legs feeling so good. She felt like an addict, suddenly needing more from him.
His smirk grows wider at her response, his fingers digging into her thighs as he keeps going. His tongue swirls around her clit before sucking it into his mouth, humming in delight at the taste of her.
âNâNeed more of you so fuckinâ bad, baby. PleaseâŠâ she begs, bringing her hands to where her legs are, holding them up herself.
It makes him chuckle, âYouâre fuckinâ nasty, baby,â grunting, spanking her in repetitions.Â
When he comes up, her arms feel numb as she tries to grip onto him, his tongue sliding into her mouth as he huffs to her, âTaste yourself,â gripping her throat.
He can feel her shaking, her body trembling. It had been a while since she felt this good, a slight pressure releasing, but not fully. As he stands, he clutches her by her hair, pulling her to where she gets on her knees, dragging her back towards the edge of the bed as he says, âYou know how I want youâget on all fours.â
She complies, almost missing this side of him, the primal, animalistic side he tried to hold back with her pregnancy. She obliges, pressing her palms and knees against the bed, arching herself to the best of her ability. Her cheeks feel warm as sheâs still looking directly at herself.Â
He briefly pauses his dominant gestures as he asks, âYouâ okay, baby? Need a pillow so youâre comfortable?â
She blinks, then nods her head. That didnât feel like enough to him.Â
âUse your fuckinâ words,â he commands with a grip to her hair, his palm lightly patting against her face. She nods, becoming more aroused as she says softly, âYes, please. Thank you, Daddy.â
Itâs all heâd been looking for.Â
He takes a pillow as he places it under her belly, giving her another soft kiss, then making her entire body jump as he spanks her with his palm. She watches as he removes his shirt, her mouth practically watering at the sight of him. She places her hands along his hard stomach, running her fingers down as she moans, âMissed you so-so much, baby.â
Sheâs tugging at his pants, unable to help herself as sheâs pulling his dick from beneath his boxers, already wrapping her lips around his tip. Her eyes are feline, mischievous as she wraps her fingers around the base of him, bobbing her head as she begins to seductively suck.
She sticks her tongue out, slapping it along her taste buds that makes him smirk down, tugging her hair as he gently smacks his hand along her face, âMissed my dick like that, huh?âÂ
She nods her head, the shyness she had before trying to break its walls down. He groans as she pulls her head forward, shoving his dick into the back of her throat, filling her entire mouth as her eyes roll to the back of her head, jaw lax as she chokes. It makes his head tilt back, gritting his teeth as he reaches forward, slamming his palm against her ass.
She pulls him out of her mouth as she rotates her hand against his tip, âWant you to fuck me from behind, please.â
In a way, he feels evil. Purposely wanting her in front of the mirrorâhe loved watching her, and he loved to make her watch herself.Â
Heâs now behind her, making sure the pillow is directly beneath her stomach, pressing kisses along her neck, clutching her throat from behind. He then pulls himself up, his broad frame large above hers, eyes dark as he watches her face.Â
Seioniâs hips jerk as she feels his tip in between her folds, swollen and calling to pull him in.Â
They both listen to themselves, a tight clutch returning in the mess of her hair as he slowly and agonizingly pushes into her. Her eyes fall close, her fingers gripping the sheets beneath her. She digs her teeth into her lip, desperately trying to hold back the music that wants to spill from her mouth. But as he wraps his fingers around her throat from behind, mouth by her ear as he says, âWanna feel just how much you miss me,â rolling his hips deeper into her, Seioniâs eyes roll to the back of her head, a whine shivering from her lips as she cums again, gushing out after several seconds.Â
His fingers somehow slide into her mouth as she loses her mind, moaning incoherently as she pants against his palm, eyes striking back to the mirror. Toji groans against her throat, sultrily laughing as he begins dragging her back onto him, grinding his hips forward, listening to their skin clap together.Â
âShit,â baby,â she moans onto his fingers, Toji against her ear as he grunts, âYeah? This all you wanted?âÂ
He clutches her mouth, the bite of her teeth is the grip he has on her, Seioni only able to hear the way their skin latches onto one another before letting go, wanting to hear it again, again, and again.Â
âFuck, Daddy,â she whines, unable to hold her mouth back, feeling like she was about to spiral.
Her body felt on overdrive, it being so long since she felt this type of pleasure. Her eyes watch them within the mirror, Tojiâs broad frame practically shadowing hers, tugging her back onto his abdomen, the sound within the room too filthy to listen to.Â
She turns her head slightly, her eyes looking up to his as she trembles, âMissed youâŠmissed you inside meâŠâ
Toji growls, "You don't need to miss anything, baby." He rolls his hips, pushing his length deeper into her warmth. "Just let me take care of you.â
She then whimpered softly, ââŠFeeling a little uncomfortable though, baby,â the position making her back begin to ache from the arch of it, an unfortunate case from her pregnancy.Â
He obviously didnât want to hurt her, taking the pillow and laying it horizontally, positioning her body to where she now lays on her side against the bed. He positions himself behind her as he holds one of her legs upwards, making sure the both of them are still reflected into the mirror.
His hand rubs over her stomach affectionately, positioning his tip between her folds from behind, his palm coming between her legs. He then lifts her outer leg, finding her clit and rubbing gently as he asks, âFeel good, baby? Need to stop?â All while peppering kisses against her neck. She grabs his hair from behind, moaning softly as she nods her head, âIâm okayâŠKeep going, please.â
He groans deeply as he thrusts into her, his hand reaching around to cup her breasts. He continues to move in and out of her, his thrusts deep and powerful, lips attaching to her ear, the feeling making her shiver. When his hand clasps back around for her throat, her eyes appear back open, seeing the sight in front of her. His broad frame captures from behind, holding her leg with one hand, clasping her throat with the other, eyes dark and hooded, grunting within her ear. She realizes just how much this man found her attractive, and it made her more horny. He loved her.
âLook at you,â he talks within her ear, holding her down as he snaps his hips, âSo fuckinâ pretty, so fuckinâ needy for me. Missed youâŠso fuckinâ much babyâŠâ he grunts out the last words, it slipping into a moan, Seioni turning her head, sticking her tongue out in a way of asking for a kiss.
He leans down, capturing her lips in a rough, passionate kiss. His free hand reaches up to grip her hair, pulling it slightly as he pushes his dick deeper inside of her.
When her eyes fall down to the bed, Toji grips her face, pointing her directly at the mirror as he says, âFuckinâ gorgeous. Gonna have all my kids, my fuckinâ wife.â âÂ
His voice makes something within her feel emotional. All of her insecurities melted into her brain, her eyes feeling like they were close to filling with tears as she moaned within his mouth, clutching his face in her hands as she whimpered, attempting not to allow herself to cry.Â
âDonât cry, baby. Youâre too pretty for that,â he grunts, yanking her hips back, âCry causeâ Iâm fuckinâ you so good.âÂ
She whimpers again, âYouâre just saying all that âcause you love me.â
He chuckles, "Maybe." He continues thrusting into her, his pace unrelenting. His hand leaves her hip, moving down to her clit where he begins rubbing circles around it. "But mostly 'cause you're driving me fuckinâ crazy," he growls, nipping at her earlobe.
She twists her head, raising her face to meet his mouth as she trembles, âLâLove you so muchâŠâ
âOnly other times youâre sweet and shit,â he says against her ear, listening to the way she trembles out another gasp, âIs when youâre about to cum.â
He takes one hand as he places it along her shoulder, the other on her hip, eyes dropping down to watch the way her ass bounces onto his abdomen, leaving a collection of arousal each time he digs deeper into her.
He groans, feeling his own orgasm approach rapidly. He lifts her off his dick momentarily, lining himself up before slamming into her harder.
It makes her gasp deeply, her legs quivering to where she tries to press her palm onto her thigh to stop the shaking, feeling a hand grab hers, holding it up to her throat and trapping it along his palm as he fucked her even harder.Â
His lips are against her ear, heavily breathing, his own stomach forming butterflies. He tries to suppress the low moan that drops from his mouth as he talks, âAll that creaming on my dick, need you to cum.âÂ
Her voice is gone, eyes flutter shut as she canât stop hyperventilating, talking through her gasps, âGonnaâ cum, DaddyâŠâ
He snarls, his grip on her wrist tightening. "Then fuckinâ cum on me, Mama," he orders, his thrusts becoming brutal, âWould give you another fuckinâ baby if I could. Pussy isâŠâ he grunts, a sound she hadnât expected coming from him, a whimper as his eyes tightly shut, âSo fuckinâ good, baby. Fuck. I love you.â
That sound sends her over the edge. Her entire body halts as she goes quiet, hearing the sound of herself gushing out, orgasm taking over her entire frame as she hides her face within the sheet, sobbing as he continues slamming her ass down onto his hips. The hand still on her neck drags up to her jaw, forcing her eyes back to the mirror again.Â
âFuckinâ love looking at youâŠâ he pants, âAll mine. Gonna be all mine, canât fuckinââŠâ he whimpers again, âCanât wait, baby.âÂ
He then turns her head, swallowing her sobs as he thrusts harder, clutching her face as he moans into her mouth, it was the hottest thing sheâd ever seen. A warmth fills her, their breaths collected together as they pant heavily.
She could still feel Tojiâs hand upon her face, dragging his thumb against her jaw, taking in the way she looked at the moment. Vulnerableâconnected to him.Â
âYouâre gonna be an amazing mother, baby.âÂ
Her eyes come open as she hears that, blinking at his words. It felt meaningful to her, she couldnât have asked for a better partner. She takes his hand as she kisses it, turning over as she wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly.
As they laid in each otherâs embrace, the soft sounds of their breathing filling the air, Tojiâs fingers danced along her body. He traced every curve and line, committing every inch of her to memory. He couldnât help but feel grateful for her to be in his arms. The woman of his dreams was in front of him, in his arms, with their child growing in her womb.Â
The moment wasnât ruinedâ but felt to be cut short as it sounded like the door opening to the villa. They heard the voice of her brother call, âAye! Scream if yâall in here fuckinâ!â
They then heard the sound of a smackâNova getting palmed in the back of his head by her momâ as she says, âShut up! Just cause you canât get none doesnât mean they canât!âbut if yâall are in here having sex, have some decorum! Thereâs a baby in the house!â
Toji grins into Seionâs neck as he hears her mother smack her brother. He presses a gentle kiss into her throat as he chuckles, âThere goes your loud ass family.â
âUnfortunately,â she sighs, accepting the kiss, âWe should get dressed, Iâm starving.âÂ
âWhen are you not hungry, Pac-Man?âÂ
âOh?â she blinks, âThat was a fat joke. Iâm gone!â
She holds her belly as she begins coming off of the bed, Toji trying to hold back his laugh as sheâs waddling around, searching for the dress she previously wore.Â
âYouâ laughing? This shit is funny?â
âNope,â he raises his hands up, âYouâ mad? Donât love me no more? You were just calling me by my second naââ
âFushiguro!âÂ
âWhy are we going downstairs? We can always stay up here and discuss why I think this baby should be named Toji-Seioni-Megumi-Jr?âÂ
âIâm never speaking to you again.â
âThatâs cool. We got time.â
Seioni groans as she continues waddling for the bathroom, throwing her middle finger up as he sarcastically blows a kiss at her. She was annoyed within the moment, but one thing she could agree toâthey had time. An eternity of it.

To Hell With Duty
Lewis Hamilton x soulmate!Reader
Summary: youâve always known that being Princess of the UK means that a soulmate is a luxury you canât afford ⊠but then you meet your soulmate and decide that some things are worth turning your back on duty for
Warnings: abusive family dynamics
Note: I promised to write something in honor of Lewisâ win and this was born (now Iâm tempted to make a soulmate AU series)
The sun blazes overhead as you step out of the sleek black car, your designer heels clicking against the pavement. The roar of engines and the excited chatter of the crowd at Silverstone envelop you, but you can barely hear them over the pounding of your own heart.
âYour Royal Highness, this way please,â a smartly dressed aide gestures towards the paddock area.
You nod, forcing a smile that doesnât quite reach your eyes. As you walk, you absently rub your wrist, feeling the slight raised bumps of your soulmate mark beneath the carefully applied concealer.
âI wish you didnât have to hide it,â your best friend and lady-in-waiting, Sophie, whispers beside you.
âYou know I donât have a choice,â you murmur back, glancing around to ensure no one overheard.
The memory of your brotherâs ordeal flashes through your mind, as vivid and painful as the day it happened ...
âNo, please! You canât do this!â Edwardâs anguished cries echoed through the palace halls.
You huddled in your room, hands pressed over your ears, trying to block out the sound. But nothing could drown out your brotherâs screams as the royal physician burned away his soulmate tattoo.
Later, when you snuck into his room, you found him curled up on his bed, cradling his bandaged wrist.
âEddie?â You whispered, your voice small and frightened.
He looked up at you, his eyes red and puffy. âY/N ... Iâm sorry you had to hear that.â
You climbed onto the bed beside him. âWhy did they do it? Why canât you be with your soulmate?â
Edward sighed, pulling you close. âBecause weâre royals, little sister. Our marriages are about duty, not love. Soulmates ... theyâre a luxury we canât afford.â
âBut thatâs not fair!â You protested.
âNo, itâs not,â he agreed, his voice hollow. âBut itâs the price we pay for our position. Promise me something, Y/N. If you ever find your soulmate ... run. Run far away and donât look back.â
The memory fades as Sophie gently squeezes your arm, bringing you back to the present.
âAre you okay?â She asks, concern etched on her face.
You take a deep breath, straightening your shoulders. âIâm fine. Letâs get this over with.â
As you make your way through the paddock, you canât help but feel a twinge of envy at the carefree laughter and excitement around you. Everywhere you look, people are proudly displaying their soulmate tattoos, some comparing them with friends, others stealing glances at strangers, wondering if today might be the day they meet their perfect match.
âYour Royal Highness,â a race official greets you with a bow. âWeâre honored to have you here today. If youâll follow me, Iâll show you to the VIP area.â
You nod, allowing yourself to be led through the crowded paddock. The official drones on about the dayâs schedule, but your mind wanders.
âWhat do you think your soulmate is like?â Sophie had asked you once, years ago, when you were both giggling teenagers.
âI donât know,â you had replied, tracing the words on your wrist. âBut I hope theyâre kind. And funny. Someone who sees me for who I am, not just my title.â
âYouâll find them one day,â Sophie had said confidently. âAnd when you do, itâll be magical.â
Now, surrounded by the bustle and excitement of race day, that conversation feels like a lifetime ago. Youâve long since resigned yourself to the fact that youâll never meet your soulmate. Even if you did, you could never act on it. The risk is too great.
Lost in thought, you donât notice the figure rounding the corner until itâs too late. You collide with a solid chest, stumbling backward. Strong hands grip your arms, steadying you before you can fall.
You look up, an apology on your lips, and find yourself staring into the most captivating brown eyes youâve ever seen. Time seems to stand still as you gaze at each other, the world fading away around you.
And then he speaks, his voice low and warm.
âWhoa there, careful Princess. Iâve got you.â
***
Your heart stops as Lewisâ words sink in. Theyâre an exact match to the tattoo hidden beneath layers of concealer on your wrist. For a moment, youâre frozen, lost in his warm brown eyes, your mind reeling with the implications of what just happened.
Then reality comes crashing down. You canât do this. You canât put him in danger. You canât risk the pain your brother went through.
âI ... I have to go,â you stammer, pulling away from his gentle grip.
Lewisâ brow furrows in confusion. âWait, whatâs wrong?â
But youâre already backing away, panic rising in your chest. âIâm sorry, I canât ... this isnât ... I have to leave.â
You turn and run, pushing past startled onlookers, your heart pounding in your ears. Behind you, you hear Lewis call out.
âPrincess, wait! Your words ... theyâre on my wrist!â
You falter for a moment, his words piercing through your panic. But no, it doesnât matter. It canât matter. You keep running.
âY/N, please!â Lewisâ voice is closer now. Heâs chasing after you. âI know you felt it too. We need to talk about this!â
You duck around a corner, trying to lose him in the maze of the paddock. But Lewis is faster, more familiar with the layout. He catches up to you in a quiet area behind one of the garages.
âPrincess,â he says, slightly out of breath. âPlease, just hear me out.â
You shake your head, tears threatening to spill. âYou donât understand. We canât do this. My family ... theyâll never allow it. Theyâll hurt you, or worse.â
Lewis takes a cautious step closer. âWhat do you mean? Why would your family hurt me?â
âBecause youâre my soulmate!â The words burst out before you can stop them. âAnd royals arenât allowed to be with their soulmates. Itâs all about duty and arranged marriages. They ... they burned off my brotherâs mark when he found his soulmate.â
Lewisâ eyes widen in horror. âThatâs barbaric. They canât do that to you.â
You laugh bitterly. âTheyâre the royal family. They can do whatever they want.â
âNo,â Lewis says firmly. âThey canât. Because I wonât let them.â
You look at him, confused. âWhat?â
Lewis takes your hand gently, his touch sending sparks through your body. âY/N, Iâm not just British. Iâm also a Brazilian citizen. And in Brazil, there are laws protecting soulmates. If weâre truly matched, which I believe we are, you automatically gain Brazilian citizenship too. Your family canât touch you there.â
Hope flares in your chest, but you quickly squash it down. âIt doesnât matter. Theyâll find a way. They always do.â
âNot this time,â Lewis insists. âLook, I have a race to drive soon, but after that, we can fly to Brazil immediately. Iâll keep you safe until then.â
You shake your head. âItâs too dangerous. If they find out ...â
âThey wonât,â Lewis promises. âMy driverâs room is private and secure. You can hide there until after the race. No one will think to look for you there.â
You hesitate, torn between hope and fear. âI donât know ...â
Lewis squeezes your hand gently. âI know we just met, but Iâve been waiting my whole life to find you. Please, give us a chance. Let me protect you.â
You look into his eyes, seeing the sincerity there. Slowly, you nod. âOkay. But we have to be careful.â
Relief washes over Lewisâ face. âWe will be. Come on, letâs get you somewhere safe.â
He leads you quickly through the paddock, taking care to avoid busy areas. You keep your head down, heart racing every time you pass someone. Finally, you reach a door marked with Lewisâ name.
âHere we are,â he says, ushering you inside. âLock the door behind me and donât open it for anyone but me. Iâll knock three times, pause, then twice more. Okay?â
You nod, taking in the small but comfortable room. âOkay. But Lewis, what about your race? You canât miss it because of me.â
He smiles reassuringly. âDonât worry about that. Iâll race, and then weâll leave right after. Itâll be fine.â
âBut what if something goes wrong? What if they find me?â The fear creeps back into your voice.
Lewis takes your hands in his, his touch grounding you. âHey, look at me. Nothing is going to happen to you. I promise. Weâre soulmates, remember? That means weâre in this together now.â
You take a deep breath, trying to calm your nerves. âIâm scared.â
âI know,â he says softly. âBut youâre also incredibly brave. Youâve lived with this fear your whole life, and youâre still standing. We can do this.â
A small smile tugs at your lips. âWeâve known each other for all of ten minutes and youâre already saying âweâ?â
Lewis grins. âWell, thatâs what happens when you meet your soulmate, I guess. Everything changes in an instant.â
You laugh softly, feeling some of the tension leave your body. âI suppose youâre right.â
âListen,â Lewis says, his tone turning serious. âI know this is all happening very fast, and I donât expect you to fall in love with me right away or anything. Weâll take things as slow as you want once weâre safe. But right now, I need you to trust me. Can you do that?â
You look into his eyes, seeing nothing but sincerity and determination. Slowly, you nod. âYes, I think I can.â
âGood,â Lewis smiles. âNow, I have to go get ready for the race. Remember, three knocks, pause, then two more. Donât open for anyone else.â
âI wonât,â you promise. âBe careful out there, okay?â
Lewisâ smile widens. âAlways am, Princess. Iâll see you soon.â
As he leaves, you lock the door behind him, your heart still racing. You sink onto the small couch, trying to process everything thatâs happened in the last hour.
Youâve found your soulmate. After years of hiding your tattoo, of living in fear of it being burned away like your brotherâs, youâve actually met the person whose words are etched on your skin.
And not just any person. Lewis Hamilton. World-famous driver, activist, and fashion icon. Youâve seen him on TV, of course, admired his skill on the track and his passion for social justice. But you never imagined ...
You rub your wrist absently, feeling the slight raised bumps of your mark beneath the concealer. For the first time in years, you allow yourself to hope. Maybe, just maybe, you can have the life youâve always dreamed of.
But doubt creeps in. What if Lewis is wrong? What if Brazilian citizenship isnât enough to protect you from your familyâs influence? What if they find you before you can leave?
You pace the small room, alternating between hope and fear. The sound of engines revving in the distance tells you the race is about to start. You find yourself holding your breath every time you hear footsteps pass by the door, terrified it might be palace security coming to drag you away.
Time crawls by agonizingly slowly. You try to distract yourself by watching the race on the small TV in the corner, but every time the camera focuses on Lewisâ car, your heart leaps into your throat. You silently urge him to be careful, to finish the race quickly so you can escape.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity, you hear it. Three knocks, a pause, then two more. You rush to the door, your hand hesitating for just a moment before you unlock it.
Lewis slips inside quickly, closing and locking the door behind him. Heâs still in his race suit, his hair damp with sweat.
âAre you okay?â You ask immediately. âHow was the race?â
Lewis grins. âIâm fine, and I won. But thatâs not important right now. We need to go.â
He grabs a bag from a locker and starts shoving clothes into it. âIâve arranged for a private jet to take us to SĂŁo Paulo. We need to leave now, before anyone realizes youâre missing.â
You nod, your heart racing again. âOkay. What do we do?â
âIâve got some clothing here that might fit you,â Lewis says, pulling out a hoodie and sweatpants. âPut these on over your clothes. Weâll need to be discreet getting to the airport.â
As you change, Lewis continues talking. âOnce weâre in Brazil, weâll be safe. There are strict laws protecting soulmates there. Your family wonât be able to touch you.â
âBut what about your career?â You ask, suddenly realizing what heâs giving up. âYou canât just leave everything behind for me.â
Lewis pauses, looking at you intently. âY/N, youâre my soulmate. That means youâre more important than any career, any amount of fame or money. Weâll figure out the details later, but right now, keeping you safe is all that matters.â
His words make your heart swell. Youâve never had anyone put you first like this before. âI donât know what to say.â
âYou donât have to say anything,â Lewis smiles. âJust trust me, okay?â
You nod, feeling a sense of calm settle over you despite the chaotic situation. âI do trust you. Letâs go.â
Lewis takes your hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. âReady?â
You take a deep breath, thinking of all youâre leaving behind â your family, your duty, the only life youâve ever known. But as you look at Lewis, you realize youâre also stepping into a new life. One where youâre free to be yourself, to love who you want, to follow your heart.
âReady,â you say firmly.
And with that, Lewis opens the door, and together, you step out into your new future.
***
The private jet hums softly as it cuts through the night sky, carrying you away from everything youâve ever known. Youâre curled up against Lewis on the plush leather seat, your head resting on his chest. The steady thrum of his heartbeat beneath your ear is oddly comforting, grounding you in this surreal moment.
Lewisâ arm is wrapped around you, his hand gently stroking your back. With your free hand, you trace the lines of his soulmate tattoo â your first words to him, now etched forever on his skin.
âI still canât believe this is real,â you murmur, your fingers following the curves of each letter.
Lewis chuckles softly, the sound reverberating through his chest. âI know what you mean. Iâve imagined meeting you so many times, but nothing could have prepared me for the reality.â
You look up at him, a mixture of emotions swirling in your chest. âWerenât you afraid? When you realized who I was?â
âAfraid?â Lewis considers for a moment. âNo, not afraid. Excited, nervous, maybe a little overwhelmed. But not afraid.â He pauses, his expression growing serious. âBut you were. Youâre still afraid now, arenât you?â
You nod slowly, dropping your gaze back to his wrist. âIâve been afraid for so long, Iâm not sure I know how to stop.â
Lewisâ hand moves to cup your face gently, encouraging you to look at him again. âWill you tell me about it? Help me understand?â
You take a deep breath, steeling yourself. âItâs ... itâs not a pleasant story.â
âIâm here,â Lewis says softly. âWhatever it is, weâll face it together.â
His words, so simple yet so profound, give you the courage to begin. âIt started with my brother, Edward. He was always the rebellious one, you know? Always pushing boundaries, questioning traditions. When he found his soulmate, he was over the moon. Her name was Lily, and she was ... she was perfect for him. Kind, funny, passionate about the same causes he was.â
You pause, the memory of your brotherâs joy contrasting sharply with what came after. Lewis waits patiently, his presence a comforting anchor.
âFor a few months, they managed to keep it a secret. But eventually, someone saw them together. Word got back to our parents and ...â You shudder, remembering that awful day. âThey were furious. They gave Edward an ultimatum: give up Lily or give up his place in the line of succession.â
âThatâs horrible,â Lewis murmurs, his arm tightening around you.
You nod, continuing, âEdward refused. He said Lily was more important than any throne. So they ... they decided to take matters into their own hands.â
Your voice breaks as you recount what happened next. âThey had the royal physician burn off Edwardâs soulmate mark. I can still hear his screams echoing through the palace. It was ... it was torture.â
Lewisâ body tenses beneath you, his voice tight with anger when he speaks. âThey had no right. How could they do that to their own son?â
âThey said it was for the good of the country,â you reply bitterly. âThat royals canât afford the luxury of soulmates. Our marriages are political tools, nothing more.â
âWhat happened to Edward and Lily?â Lewis asks gently.
You sigh heavily. âEdward was never the same after that. The spark in him just ... died. He does his duty now, makes the appearances heâs supposed to, but itâs like heâs just going through the motions. And Lily ... last I heard, she moved to Australia. I think being anywhere near the UK was too painful for her.â
Lewis is quiet for a moment, processing your words. âIâm so sorry you had to go through that, Y/N. No wonder you were scared when you realized we were soulmates.â
You nod, feeling the weight of years of fear and secrecy lifting as you share your story. âThatâs not even the worst of it,â you admit softly.
Lewis looks at you, concern etched on his face. âThereâs more?â
You take another deep breath, steeling yourself for the hardest part of the story. âMy father ... he had an older sister. Aunt Margaret. I never met her, but I found out about her a few years ago.â
Lewis listens intently as you continue, âShe found her soulmate when she was young, maybe 20 or so. And she refused to give him up, no matter what my grandparents said. They tried everything â threats, bribes, even attempting to arrange another match for her. But Margaret stood firm.â
âShe sounds brave,â Lewis comments.
You nod, a sad smile touching your lips. âShe was. But bravery wasnât enough. One night, both Margaret and her soulmate disappeared. The official story was that theyâd eloped, run off to start a new life together. But that wasnât the truth.â
Lewisâ body tenses again, as if bracing for whatâs coming. You press on, the words tumbling out now that youâve started.
âMargaretâs soulmate was ... dealt with. Permanently. And Margaret herself was institutionalized. Locked away in a private facility, hidden from the world.â
âThatâs ... thatâs monstrous,â Lewis breathes, horror evident in his voice.
You nod, feeling tears prick at your eyes. âWhen I found out, I couldnât believe it. I managed to find out where she was being held and I ... I visited her.â
Lewisâ hand resumes its gentle stroking of your back, encouraging you to continue.
âShe was ... god, Lewis, she was just a shell. Decades of being locked away, of being separated from her soulmate ... it had broken her. She didnât even seem to realize I was there.â
A tear escapes, rolling down your cheek. Lewis gently wipes it away with his thumb.
âThatâs why I was so scared,â you whisper. âIâve seen what my family is capable of. What lengths theyâll go to in order to keep up appearances, to maintain their idea of duty.â
Lewis is quiet for a long moment, his arms tightening around you protectively. When he finally speaks, his voice is filled with a mix of anger and determination.
âListen to me, Y/N,â he says firmly. âWhat happened to your brother, to your aunt ... it was wrong. Cruel and wrong. But I promise you, I will not let that happen to us.â
You look up at him, seeing the fierce protectiveness in his eyes. âHow can you be so sure?â
âBecause weâre not alone in this,â Lewis explains. âWe have resources they donât. My citizenship, for one. The laws protecting soulmates in Brazil. And beyond that, we have the power of public opinion.â
You frown, not quite understanding. âWhat do you mean?â
Lewis shifts slightly, his expression thoughtful. âThink about it. Your familyâs power comes from public support, right? What do you think would happen if the world found out they were separating soulmates, institutionalizing people?â
âIt would be a scandal,â you realize, your eyes widening.
âExactly,â Lewis nods. âWeâre not helpless. If they try anything, we can fight back. We can tell our story, rally support. The world has changed a lot. People believe in the sanctity of soulmates now more than ever.â
His words spark a tiny flame of hope in your chest. âYou really think we could do that?â
âI know we could,â Lewis says confidently. âBut more than that, I donât think weâll have to. Your family isnât stupid. Theyâll realize the risk isnât worth it. Especially not with someone as high-profile as me.â
You canât help but chuckle at that. âModest, arenât you?â
Lewis grins, the tension of the moment breaking. âHey, Iâm just stating facts. Seven-time world champion, remember?â
You roll your eyes playfully, but then grow serious again. âLewis ... thank you. For listening, for understanding. For not running away when you realized how complicated this all is.â
âHey,â Lewis says softly, tilting your chin up so youâre looking directly into his eyes. âYouâre my soulmate. That means weâre in this together, complications and all. Iâm not going anywhere.â
His words wash over you, soothing fears youâve carried for so long. For the first time, you allow yourself to truly believe that maybe, just maybe, you can have this. You can have him.
âSo,â you say, a small smile playing on your lips. âWhat happens now?â
Lewis grins, his eyes twinkling with excitement and possibility. âNow? Now we start our adventure. We land in SĂŁo Paulo, get your citizenship sorted out, and then ... well, then the worldâs our oyster. We can go anywhere, do anything.â
âAnything?â You ask, the concept of such freedom almost dizzying.
âAnything,â Lewis confirms. âWe could travel the world. Or we could find a quiet place to settle down if thatâs what you prefer. We could work on charitable causes together, or you could pursue whatever dreams youâve had to put aside because of your royal duties.â
The possibilities swirl in your mind, each one more exciting than the last. âI ... I donât even know where to start,â you admit.
Lewis chuckles, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. âWe donât have to decide everything right now. Weâve got time. For now, letâs just focus on getting to Brazil safely. We can figure out the rest as we go.â
You nod, settling back against his chest. The steady beat of his heart syncs with the hum of the jet engines, lulling you into a sense of peace you havenât felt in years.
As you drift off to sleep, wrapped in the safety of your soulmateâs arms, you realize something. For the first time in your life, youâre not afraid of the future. Instead, youâre excited to see what it holds.
Whatever comes next, youâll face it together. You and Lewis, two halves of a whole, finally united. The journey ahead may be uncertain, but with him by your side, youâre ready for anything.
***
As the private jet touches down on Brazilian soil, a mixture of excitement and nervousness flutters in your stomach. Lewis gives your hand a reassuring squeeze as the plane rolls to a stop.
âReady?â He asks, his warm brown eyes meeting yours.
You take a deep breath and nod. âAs Iâll ever be.â
The cabin door opens, and the humid Brazilian air rushes in. Lewis leads you down the steps, his hand never leaving yours. At the bottom, a tall woman in a crisp suit waits, her dark hair pulled back in a neat bun.
âMr. Hamilton,â she greets with a warm smile, extending her hand. âAnd Your Royal Highness. Welcome to Brazil. Iâm Dr. Raquel Santos from the Department of Soulmate Affairs.â
Lewis shakes her hand. âDr. Santos, thank you for meeting us on such short notice.â
âOf course,â she replies, turning to you. âYour Highness, itâs an honor.â
You shake her hand, feeling slightly overwhelmed. âPlease, just call me Y/N. I ... Iâm not sure how much of a royal I am anymore.â
Dr. Santosâ smile softens. âOf course, Y/N. Why donât we move this conversation somewhere more private? I have a car waiting to take us to a secure location where we can discuss everything in detail.â
You and Lewis follow her to a sleek black car. Once inside, Dr. Santos turns to face you both.
âFirst and foremost,â she begins, âI want to assure you that you are under the full protection of Brazilian law. As soon as you stepped off that plane, Y/N, you became entitled to all the rights and protections we offer to soulmates.â
âJust like that?â You ask, hardly daring to believe it could be so simple.
Dr. Santos nods. âJust like that. Brazil takes soulmate rights very seriously. We believe that the bond between soulmates is sacred and should be protected at all costs.â
Lewis leans forward, his expression serious. âWhat exactly does that protection entail? Y/Nâs situation is ... complicated.â
âI understand,â Dr. Santos says. âYour assistant filled me in on some of the details during our phone call. Let me break down the key points for you.â
As the car glides through the streets of SĂŁo Paulo, Dr. Santos begins her explanation.
âFirst, as the soulmate of a Brazilian citizen, Y/N is immediately eligible for Brazilian citizenship. We can begin the paperwork right away. This will provide an added layer of protection against any attempts at extradition.â
You feel a weight lift off your shoulders at her words. âSo my family canât force me to return to the UK?â
âCorrect,â Dr. Santos confirms. âBrazil does not recognize any authority over soulmate bonds, not even royal decrees. Your status as a princess is irrelevant in the eyes of our law when it comes to your rights as a soulmate.â
Lewis squeezes your hand, a smile playing on his lips. âSee? I told you weâd figure it out.â
Dr. Santos continues, âFurthermore, we have specific laws protecting soulmates from forced separation. Any attempt to interfere with your bond â be it physical separation, coercion, or even attempts to remove or alter your soulmate marks â is considered a serious crime in Brazil.â
You unconsciously rub your wrist where your tattoo is hidden. âWhat about ... what if they try to claim Iâm mentally unfit or something? To try and invalidate my choices?â
Dr. Santosâ expression turns serious. âWeâve seen such tactics used before, unfortunately. Thatâs why we have safeguards in place. Any claims of mental unfitness would require extensive evaluation by multiple independent Brazilian psychiatrists.â
âAnd if they try to use their diplomatic influence?â Lewis asks.
âBrazilâs stance on soulmate rights is non-negotiable,â Dr. Santos states firmly. âWeâve stood up to pressure from other nations before, and we wonât hesitate to do so again. Your bond is protected here, regardless of external political pressures.â
You let out a breath you didnât realize you were holding. âThis all sounds almost too good to be true.â
Dr. Santos smiles warmly. âI understand your caution, Y/N. But I assure you, these protections are very real and very enforceable. Now, let me explain some of the practical aspects of your situation.â
As the car turns onto a quieter street, Dr. Santos pulls out a tablet. âWeâll need to register your bond officially. This involves a simple verification process â usually just a visual confirmation of a matching font on your soulmate marks. Once registered, youâll be issued official documentation of your bond status.â
âWhat does that documentation do?â You ask, leaning forward with interest.
âIt serves several purposes,â Dr. Santos explains. âFirstly, itâs legal proof of your bond, which can be used to claim various rights and protections under Brazilian law. It also serves as a form of identification and can be used to expedite your citizenship application.â
Lewis nods thoughtfully. âAnd what about privacy? Given our high profiles, weâre concerned about information leaks.â
âAn excellent question,â Dr. Santos says. âWe take privacy very seriously, especially in high-profile cases like yours. All information related to your bond and Y/Nâs presence in Brazil will be classified at the highest level. Only a select few government officials will have access to this information.â
You feel a surge of gratitude towards this woman and the country she represents. âDr. Santos, I canât thank you enough for all of this.â
She smiles warmly. âItâs my pleasure. Protecting soulmates is not just my job, itâs my passion. Now, letâs discuss some of the support services available to you.â
As the car pulls up to a nondescript building, Dr. Santos continues her explanation. âWe offer counseling services specifically tailored for soulmates who have faced separation or threats to their bond. These services are completely confidential and can be invaluable in helping you process your experiences and adjust to your new life.â
You nod, feeling a lump form in your throat. âI think ... I think that might be really helpful.â
Lewis wraps an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close. âWeâll get through this together, love. Whatever you need.â
Dr. Santos leads you into the building and up to a comfortably furnished office. As you all take seats, she pulls out some forms.
âNow, I know this is a lot to take in,â she says gently. âBut Iâd like to start the official registration process, if youâre ready. The sooner we get this done, the sooner youâll have legal protection.â
You look at Lewis, who gives you an encouraging nod. âOkay,â you say, taking a deep breath. âLetâs do it.â
As Dr. Santos begins to explain the forms, a thought occurs to you. âDr. Santos, what about Lewis? How will all of this affect his career?â
Dr. Santos smiles. âIâm glad you asked. Mr. Hamilton, as a Brazilian citizen, you have the right to have your soulmate with you wherever your career takes you. We can provide diplomatic assistance to ensure Y/N can travel with you freely, without risk of detention or forced return to the UK.â
Lewis grins, looking relieved. âThatâs fantastic news. I was worried I might have to give up racing.â
âNot at all,â Dr. Santos assures him. âWe believe that soulmates should support each otherâs dreams and ambitions. Our laws are designed to facilitate that.â
As you begin filling out the forms, a sense of surreal calm washes over you. For the first time in your life, you feel truly protected, truly free to be with the person youâre meant to be with.
âThereâs one more thing,â Dr. Santos says as you finish the paperwork. âAs part of our soulmate protection program, we offer a safe house service. Itâs a secure location where you can stay while you adjust to your new situation and decide on your next steps. Would you be interested in that?â
You and Lewis exchange a look. âI think that might be a good idea,â Lewis says. âAt least for a little while, until we figure things out. My home here isnât exactly inconspicuous.â
You nod in agreement. âYes, please. That sounds perfect.â
Dr. Santos smiles, clearly pleased. âExcellent. Iâll make the arrangements right away. The location is completely confidential and guarded 24/7. Youâll be safe there.â
As she stands to make some calls, you turn to Lewis, feeling overwhelmed by everything thatâs happened.
âLewis,â you say softly, âI canât believe youâve done all this for me. Youâve turned your whole life upside down.â
He takes your hands in his, his eyes shining with emotion. âYouâre my soulmate. My whole life was leading up to finding you. Everything else? Itâs just details weâll figure out together.â
You lean in, resting your forehead against his. For the first time since you can remember, you feel truly, completely safe. Protected not just by laws and governments, but by the love of the person you were always meant to find.
As Dr. Santos returns to finalize the arrangements, you realize that this isnât just the end of your old life. Itâs the beginning of something new, something wonderful. A life where youâre free to love, free to be yourself, free to explore the bond that fate has given you.
Whatever challenges lie ahead, you know now that you wonât face them alone. You have Lewis, you have the protection of Brazilian law, and most importantly, you have hope. The future, once so terrifying, now shines with possibility.
And as you leave the office hand in hand with Lewis, ready to start your new life together, you canât help but smile. Because for the first time, youâre not running away from something.
Youâre running towards it.
***
The roar of engines and the buzz of excitement fill the air as you stand at the entrance to the AutĂłdromo JosĂ© Carlos Pace. Your heart pounds in your chest, a mix of nerves and exhilaration coursing through your veins. Lewisâ hand is warm and steady in yours, a constant reminder that youâre not alone.
âAre you ready for this?â Lewis asks, his brown eyes searching yours with concern.
You take a deep breath, squeezing his hand. âAs ready as Iâll ever be. Itâs time to stop hiding.â
Lewis nods, a proud smile lighting up his face. âThatâs my girl. Remember, whatever happens, weâre in this together.â
With one last reassuring squeeze, Lewis leads you into the paddock. The moment you step into view, a hush falls over the nearby crowd. Then, like a wave, whispers and exclamations ripple outward.
âIs that ...â
âIt canât be ...â
âThe princess!â
âWith Lewis Hamilton?â
Cameras flash in a frenzy, and reporters surge forward, held back only by the security team flanking you and Lewis. You keep your head high, your hand firmly in Lewisâ as you make your way through the paddock.
A brave reporter manages to shout a question over the commotion. âYour Highness! Is it true youâve been in hiding in Brazil?â
You pause, looking to Lewis. He gives you an encouraging nod. Taking a deep breath, you turn to face the press.
âYes, itâs true,â you say, your voice steady despite your nerves. âIâve been in Brazil for the past few months, under the protection of the Brazilian government.â
The questions come rapid-fire after that.
âWhy did you leave the UK?â
âAre you and Lewis Hamilton really soulmates?â
âWhat does the royal family have to say about this?â
Lewis steps forward, his arm protectively around your waist. âWeâll be holding a press conference later to address all your questions. For now, we ask for your patience and understanding as we prepare for the race.â
As you continue through the paddock, you canât help but think back on the tumultuous months that led to this moment ...
The first few weeks in Brazil had been a whirlwind of paperwork, security briefings, and adjusting to your new reality. You and Lewis had stayed in the safe house provided by the Brazilian government, venturing out only when necessary and always under heavy guard.
One morning, about a month into your stay, Dr. Santos had arrived with a grim expression.
âWeâve intercepted some concerning communications,â she had said, her usual calm demeanor tinged with worry. âIt seems the British royal family has intensified their search for you, Y/N. Theyâre making threats.â
You had felt your heart drop. âWhat kind of threats?â
Dr. Santos had hesitated before answering. âTheyâre threatening to use their diplomatic influence to pressure Brazil into returning you. Theyâre also ... theyâre suggesting that you might be mentally unfit, that youâve been coerced or manipulated.â
Lewis had immediately pulled you close, his jaw clenched in anger. âThey canât do that. We wonât let them.â
âAnd we wonât,â Dr. Santos had assured you both. âOur stance on soulmate rights is non-negotiable. But I want you to be prepared. This might get ugly.â
And it had. Over the next few months, your family had tried everything. Diplomatic pressure, media manipulation, even attempts to infiltrate Brazilian government systems to locate you. But Brazil had stood firm, and you had remained safe.
A commotion near the Mercedes garage snaps you back to the present. You see a group of men in dark suits pushing their way through the crowd, their expressions grim and determined. Your blood runs cold as you recognize one of them â your fatherâs head of security.
âLewis,â you whisper urgently, âtheyâre here.â
Lewisâ arm tightens around you as he quickly assesses the situation. âStay calm. Remember the plan.â
As the men approach, the lead one steps forward, his voice loud and authoritative. âYour Royal Highness, by order of His Majesty the King, you are to return to the United Kingdom immediately.â
You feel all eyes on you, the paddock having gone deathly quiet. Taking a deep breath, you step forward, your voice clear and steady. âIâm afraid that wonât be possible. I am here of my own free will, protected by Brazilian law as the soulmate of a Brazilian citizen.â
The manâs expression hardens. âYour Highness, please donât make this difficult. Your family is concerned for your well-being. They believe you may have been coerced or manipulated-â
âThe only manipulation here,â Lewis interrupts, his voice sharp, âis coming from those who would separate soulmates for political gain.â
Just then, Dr. Santos appears, flanked by Brazilian officials. âGentlemen,â she says coolly to the British security team, âIâm afraid youâre overstepping. Y/N is under the protection of the Brazilian government. Any attempt to remove her against her will would be considered means for an international incident.â
The head of security sputters, clearly not having expected this level of resistance. âThis is a family matter-â
âNo,â you interject, your voice stronger now. âThis is a matter of human rights. The right to be with oneâs soulmate. A right that Brazil recognizes and protects.â
Dr. Santos nods approvingly. âFurthermore, any claims of mental unfitness have been thoroughly disproven by independent psychiatric evaluation. Y/N is here of her own free will, in full possession of her faculties.â
The security team looks at each other uncertainly, clearly realizing theyâre outmatched. The lead man makes one last attempt. âYour Highness, please. Your family misses you. They want you to come home.â
For a moment, you feel a pang of sadness for the life you left behind. But then you feel Lewisâ steady presence beside you, and you know youâre exactly where youâre meant to be.
âI am home,â you say softly but firmly. âMy home is with my soulmate, wherever that may be.â
The man opens his mouth to argue further, but Dr. Santos cuts him off. âGentlemen, I believe itâs time for you to leave. Unless youâd like us to involve the authorities?â
Realizing theyâre defeated, the security team begins to retreat. As they leave, you hear murmurs of admiration and support from the crowd that has gathered to watch the confrontation.
Lewis pulls you into a tight embrace. âYou were amazing,â he whispers in your ear. âIâm so proud of you.â
As you pull back, you see reporters clamoring for comments, their cameras flashing incessantly. Dr. Santos steps forward to address them.
âA full press conference will be held later today,â she announces. âFor now, I can confirm that Y/N, formally known as Her Royal Highness, is here legally and of her own free will as the soulmate of Lewis Hamilton. She is under the full protection of Brazilian law, and any attempts to interfere with their bond will be met with the full force of our legal system.â
As Dr. Santos continues to field questions, Lewis turns to you. âAre you okay?â He asks softly, his eyes searching yours.
You nod, feeling a weight lift off your shoulders. âIâm more than okay. For the first time, I feel ... free.â
Lewis grins, pressing a kiss to your forehead. âGood. Because weâve got a race to win.â
As you make your way to the Mercedes garage, youâre overwhelmed by the support you receive. Team members, other drivers, and even fans call out words of encouragement.
âWeâve got your back, Y/N!â
âLove wins!â
âYou show âem, Lewis!â
Inside the garage, the team greets you warmly. Toto approaches with a smile.
âY/N, Lewis,â he says, shaking both your hands. âThat was quite an entrance. Are you sure youâre up for all this today?â
You nod firmly. âAbsolutely. Itâs time to show the world that love doesnât make you weak. It makes you stronger.â
Lewis beams at your words. âCouldnât have said it better myself. Now, letâs go win this race, yeah?â
As Lewis begins his pre-race preparations, you find a quiet corner to collect your thoughts. The events of the past few months flash through your mind â the fear, the uncertainty, but also the overwhelming love and support youâve received.
You think about your family, about the life you left behind. Thereâs sadness there, but no regret. Youâve found something more precious than any crown â the freedom to love, to be yourself, to follow your heart.
A gentle hand on your shoulder pulls you from your thoughts. You look up to see Lewis, now in his race suit, his helmet tucked under his arm.
âPenny for your thoughts?â He asks softly.
You smile, reaching up to cup his cheek. âJust thinking about how lucky I am. How grateful I am for you, for Brazil, for everyone whoâs supported us.â
Lewis leans into your touch, his eyes shining with emotion. âWeâre the lucky ones, Y/N. To have found each other, to have this chance at happiness. And I promise you, Iâll spend every day making sure you never regret your choice.â
You stand, wrapping your arms around his neck. âI could never regret choosing you. Youâre my soulmate, my home, my everything.â
As you lean in for a kiss, the garage erupts in cheers and whistles. You break apart, laughing, to see the entire team watching with grins on their faces.
âAlright, lovebirds,â Toto calls out good-naturedly. âSave it for after the race. Lewis, youâve got a championship to chase.â
Lewis gives you one last quick kiss before pulling on his helmet. âWatch me fly, Princess,â he says with a wink.
As he heads out to the track, you take your place in the garage, surrounded by your new family â the team that has embraced you without question. You feel a sense of belonging, of purpose, that youâve never experienced before.
The roar of engines fills the air as the race begins. You watch Lewis navigate the track with precision and skill, your heart swelling with pride and love. This is your life now â the excitement of race day, the thrill of competition, but most importantly, the joy of being with your soulmate.
As Lewis crosses the finish line in first place, the garage erupts in celebration. You rush out to meet him in parc fermé, not caring about protocol or propriety. Lewis sweeps you up in his arms, spinning you around as the crowd cheers.
In that moment, with the sun shining down and the sound of celebration all around, you know that youâve made the right choice. This is where you belong â by Lewisâ side, free to love and be loved, ready to face whatever challenges come your way.
Together.
***
The familiar scent of motor oil and rubber fills the air as you step onto British soil for the first time in over a year. Silverstone buzzes with excitement, but you canât shake the nervous energy coursing through your veins. Lewisâ hand finds yours, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
âYou okay?â He asks softly, his eyes searching yours with concern.
You take a deep breath, nodding. âI think so. Itâs just ... strange being back.â
Lewis pulls you close, pressing a kiss to your forehead. âRemember, youâre not alone. Weâve got security everywhere, and Iâm right here with you.â
As if on cue, the head of your security team, a tall, no-nonsense woman named Maria, approaches. âEverythingâs clear, Ms. Y/N. Weâve swept the entire area and have eyes on all entry points.â
You smile gratefully at her. âThank you, Maria. I donât know what weâd do without you.â
Mariaâs stern expression softens slightly. âJust doing our job, maâam. Your safety is our top priority.â
As you make your way through the paddock, you canât help but notice the stares and whispers that follow you. Some are curious, others admiring, and a few ... less than friendly. But your security team forms a protective barrier around you and Lewis, keeping any potential trouble at bay.
âY/N! Lewis!â A familiar voice calls out. You turn to see Fred Vasseur approaching, a warm smile on his face. âWelcome back to Silverstone. How are you holding up?â
âItâs ... intense,â you admit. âBut Iâm glad to be here, supporting Lewis.â
Fred nods understandingly. âWell, youâve got the whole team behind you. Anyone gives you trouble, theyâll have to answer to all of Ferrari.â
As you continue through the paddock, greeting team members and other drivers, you canât shake the feeling that youâre being watched. Not just by the curious onlookers, but by someone ... familiar.
Thatâs when you see him. Standing near the VIP area, looking as regal and composed as ever, is your brother.
Your heart skips a beat. You havenât seen Edward since that fateful day you ran away. Lewis, sensing your tension, follows your gaze.
âIs that ...â he asks quietly.
You nod, unable to find words. Lewis turns to Maria. âCan you make sure we have a private moment?â
Maria nods, already signaling to her team. Within moments, theyâve created a small bubble of privacy around you and Edward.
Edward approaches slowly, his expression unreadable. For a moment, you both just stand there, years of unspoken words hanging between you.
Then, to your surprise, Edwardâs composure cracks. His eyes fill with tears as he pulls you into a tight embrace.
âY/N,â he whispers, his voice thick with emotion. âIâve missed you so much.â
You cling to him, your own tears falling freely. âEddie ... Iâm so sorry I left without saying goodbye. I just ... I couldnât ...â
Edward pulls back, holding you at armâs length. His eyes roam your face, as if memorizing every detail. âDonât apologize. Not ever. What you did ... Y/N, I am so incredibly proud of you.â
His words catch you off guard. âProud? But I abandoned the family, my duties ...â
Edward shakes his head firmly. âYou chose love. You chose happiness. You did what I was too weak to do.â
You glance at Lewis, whoâs standing a respectful distance away, giving you this moment with your brother. âEdward, this is Lewis. My soulmate.â
Edward extends his hand to Lewis. âItâs an honor to meet you, Lewis. Thank you for protecting my sister and giving her the happiness she deserves.â
Lewis shakes his hand, his expression sincere. âThe honor is mine, Your Highness. Y/N is the bravest, most amazing person I know. Iâm just lucky to be part of her life.â
Edwardâs smile is tinged with sadness. âPlease, call me Edward. And youâre right, she is amazing. Always has been.â
You look at your brother closely, noticing the lines of stress around his eyes, the slight slump in his shoulders. âEddie ... how are you? Really?â
He sighs, running a hand through his hair. âItâs ... not easy. The family is in turmoil after your departure. Father is furious, Mother is heartbroken, and Iâm ... well, Iâm trying to hold it all together.â
âAnd Lily?â You ask softly, referring to Edwardâs soulmate. âHave you heard from her?â
Edwardâs expression clouds over. âNo. Not since ... not since that day.â
You take your brotherâs hand, squeezing it gently. âItâs not too late, you know. You could still reach out to her.â
Edward laughs bitterly. âAnd say what? âSorry I let them burn off my soulmate mark and married someone else. Want to grab coffee?ââ
Lewis steps forward, his voice gentle but firm. âWith all due respect, Your High- Edward, itâs never too late. The bond between soulmates ... itâs not something that can be erased, no matter whatâs done to the physical mark.â
Edward looks at Lewis, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. âYou really believe that?â
Lewis nods. âI do. Y/N and I found each other against all odds. Whoâs to say you and Lily canât do the same?â
You squeeze Edwardâs hand again. âEddie, you deserve to be happy. You deserve love. Itâs not too late to choose yourself, to choose love.â
Edward looks torn, glancing around at the crowds, the cameras, the weight of expectation thatâs always surrounded you both. âBut the family ...â
âWill still be there,â you say softly. âBut youâll be facing them as your true self, with your soulmate by your side. It makes all the difference, trust me.â
Your brother is quiet for a long moment, clearly wrestling with years of ingrained duty and expectation. Finally, he looks up, a new determination in his eyes.
âYouâre right,â he says, his voice growing stronger. âYouâre absolutely right. Iâve spent too long living for everyone else. Itâs time I lived for myself.â
You canât help the smile that spreads across your face. âDoes this mean ...â
Edward nods, a mix of fear and excitement in his eyes. âIâm going to do it. Iâm going to find Lily. Iâm going to make things right.â
You throw your arms around your brother, hugging him tightly. âIâm so proud of you, Eddie. And Iâll be here for you, every step of the way.â
As you pull back, you see tears in Edwardâs eyes, but also a lightness that you havenât seen in years. âThank you. For showing me that itâs possible to choose love. For being brave enough to pave the way.â
Lewis steps forward, placing a hand on Edwardâs shoulder. âIf you need any help â legal advice, security, anything â just say the word. Youâre family now.â
Edward looks at Lewis gratefully. âThank you. I might just take you up on that.â
Just then, Maria approaches discreetly. âIâm sorry to interrupt, but we need to move. The press is getting restless.â
You nod, turning back to Edward. âWill you be okay?â
He takes a deep breath, squaring his shoulders. âI will be. For the first time in a long time, I think I really will be.â
As you prepare to part ways, Edward pulls you in for one last hug. âI love you, little sister. Thank you for reminding me whatâs truly important.â
âI love you too, Eddie,â you whisper back. âGo find your happiness. You deserve it.â
With one last squeeze, Edward steps back. As he walks away, you see him pull out his phone, a look of determination on his face. You have a feeling you know exactly who heâs about to call.
Lewis wraps an arm around your waist, pulling you close. âYou okay, love?â
You nod, wiping away a stray tear. âMore than okay. I feel ... hopeful. For Eddie, for us, for everything.â
As you make your way back through the paddock, youâre struck by how different everything feels. The stares donât bother you as much, the whispers fade into background noise. Youâre exactly where youâre meant to be, with the person youâre meant to be with.
âYou know,â Lewis says as you reach the Ferrari garage, âI think Iâm going to win this race.â
You raise an eyebrow, a smile playing on your lips. âOh? And what makes you so sure?â
Lewis grins, pulling you close. âBecause Iâve got my lucky charm by my side. How can I lose?â
You laugh, the sound light and free. âWell, in that case, youâd better not disappoint. I expect nothing less than a victory, Sir Hamilton.â
As Lewis leans in for a kiss, youâre vaguely aware of cameras flashing and people cheering. But none of that matters. What matters is this moment, this love, this life youâve chosen.
You think back to a year ago, when you were terrified of finding your soulmate, of the consequences it would bring. Now, standing here at Silverstone, with Lewis by your side and the hope of your brother finding his own happiness, you realize that choosing love wasnât just the brave choice.
It was the only choice.
As Lewis heads off to prepare for the race, you take your place in the garage. The roar of engines fills the air, and you feel a surge of excitement.
This is your life now. Supporting Lewis, championing love, and showing the world that sometimes, the greatest act of duty is being true to yourself.
As the race begins, you watch Lewis tear around the track, your heart swelling with pride and love. You may not wear a tiara anymore, but youâve gained something far more precious â the freedom to love, to choose, to be yourself.
And as the chequered flag waves and Lewis crosses the finish line in first place, you know that this victory isnât just his.
Itâs yours. Itâs Edwardâs. Itâs everyone whoâs ever had the courage to choose love over duty, happiness over expectation.
As you rush to congratulate Lewis, wrapped in his arms as the crowd cheers, you know that this is just the beginning. There will be challenges ahead, obstacles to overcome. But with love by your side and the strength to be true to yourself, youâre ready to face whatever comes.
Because in the end, love always wins. And you? Youâre living proof of that.

The warm Brazilian sun streams through the windows of the spacious beachfront home, filling the living room with a golden glow. The sound of childrenâs laughter mingles with the distant crash of waves, creating a symphony of domestic bliss.
Youâre seated on the plush carpet, surrounded by an array of colorful toys. Your three-year-old daughter, Emilia, is busily stacking blocks, her little face scrunched in concentration. Across from you, Edward is attempting to wrangle his own two-year-old son, James, who seems more interested in knocking down Emiliaâs creations than building his own.
âJames, darling, letâs build our own tower, shall we?â Edward coaxes gently, redirecting his sonâs attention.
You canât help but smile at the scene. Five years ago, you never could have imagined this â you and Edward, raising your children together, free from the constraints of royal duty.
The sound of a door opening draws your attention. Lewis walks in, his arms full of grocery bags, closely followed by Lily.
âWe come bearing snacks!â Lewis announces with a grin.
Emiliaâs head snaps up at the sight of her favorite person. âDaddy!â She squeals, abandoning her blocks and running to Lewis.
Lewis sets down the bags just in time to scoop up his daughter, peppering her face with kisses. âHello, my little racer. Have you been good for Mummy?â
Emilia nods enthusiastically. âI builded a big tower!â
âBuilt, sweetheart,â you correct gently, getting to your feet. âAnd it was a very impressive tower indeed.â
Lewis sets Emilia down and wraps an arm around your waist, pulling you in for a quick kiss. âAnd howâs my other favorite girl doing?â
You smile, leaning into his embrace. âBetter now that youâre home. How was the market?â
âBusy,â Lily chimes in, setting down her own bags. âBut we managed to get everything on the list, plus a few extras.â
Edward stands, hoisting James onto his hip. âExtras, you say? Let me guess â more of those brigadeiros that youâre definitely not addicted to, right, love?â
Lilyâs cheeks flush slightly as she laughs. âI plead the fifth. This baby wants what it wants.â
Your eyes light up at the reminder. Lily is five months pregnant with their second child, and youâre all buzzing with excitement.
âSpeaking of the baby,â you say, moving to help unpack the groceries, âhave you two decided if youâre going to find out the gender?â
Edward and Lily exchange a look. âWeâre still debating,â Edward admits. âPart of me wants to know, but thereâs also something nice about the surprise.â
Lewis chuckles, joining you in the kitchen. âI remember that debate. Though if I recall correctly, someone couldnât handle the suspense and made me call the doctor at two in the morning to find out.â
You playfully swat his arm. âHey, you were just as curious as I was!â
As you all work together to put away the groceries and prepare snacks for the kids, youâre struck by how natural this all feels. The easy banter, the shared responsibilities, the love that permeates every interaction. Itâs a far cry from the rigid formality of your royal upbringing.
âYou know,â Edward says, as if reading your thoughts, âsometimes I still canât believe this is our life now.â
You nod, understanding completely. âI know what you mean. Itâs so different from what we always thought our futures would be.â
Lily comes up behind Edward, wrapping her arms around his waist. âDifferent, but better, right?â
Edward turns, pulling her close. âInfinitely better. I wouldnât change a thing.â
As you watch your brother with his soulmate, you feel a wave of happiness and gratitude wash over you. It hadnât been easy for Edward to follow in your footsteps, to give up his place in the line of succession and choose love over duty. But seeing him now, so relaxed and genuinely happy, you know it was worth every struggle.
âEarth to Y/N,â Lewisâ voice breaks through your reverie. âWhereâd you go just now?â
You smile, shaking your head. âJust thinking about how far weâve all come. How different things could have been.â
Lewis nods, understanding in his eyes. âDo you ever regret it? Giving up your title, your life in England?â
You donât hesitate for a second. âNever. This life, with you, with our family â itâs more than I ever dreamed possible.â
A sudden crash from the living room interrupts the moment. You all rush in to find James standing triumphantly atop a mountain of scattered blocks, while Emilia looks on in horror.
âJames Edward Henry Albert Windsor!â Lily exclaims, trying to sound stern but failing to hide her amusement. âWhat have we said about destroying other peopleâs creations?â
James, looking not at all repentant, grins widely. âI king of the castle!â
Edward struggles to keep a straight face as he lifts his son off the block mountain. âYes, well, kings should be builders, not destroyers. Letâs clean this up and then we can all build a castle together, okay?â
As you all pitch in to help clean up the blocks, Emilia tugs on your sleeve. âMummy, will James be a real king someday?â
The question catches you off guard. You exchange a look with Edward, unsure how to explain the complicated reality of your familyâs situation.
Lewis kneels down next to Emilia, his voice gentle. âNo, sweetheart. James wonât be a king and you wonât be a princess. But thatâs okay, because you get to be something even better.â
Emiliaâs eyes widen with curiosity. âWhatâs that, Daddy?â
Lewis smiles, pulling her into a hug. âYou get to be yourself. You get to choose who you want to be and what you want to do with your life. And thatâs much more special.â
You feel tears prick at your eyes, overwhelmed by the simple beauty of Lewisâ words. This is why you left, why you chose this life. So that your children could have the freedom you and Edward never had growing up.
As the afternoon wears on, you all migrate to the back patio. The kids play in the sand under the watchful eyes of their parents, while you, Lewis, Edward, and Lily relax on the comfortable outdoor furniture.
âSo,â Lily says, her hand resting on her growing belly, âhave you two given any thought to expanding your own family?â
You and Lewis share a knowing look. âActually,â you say, unable to keep the excitement from your voice, âweâve been thinking about it a lot lately.â
Edward raises an eyebrow. âOh? Do tell, little sister.â
Lewis takes your hand, giving it a squeeze. âWeâre thinking of adopting. There are so many children out there who need loving homes, and we have more than enough love to give.â
âThatâs wonderful!â Lily exclaims, her eyes shining. âOh, Emilia would love a little brother or sister.â
You nod, watching your daughter play. âWe think so too. Weâre just starting the process, but it feels right.â
Edward leans forward, his expression serious. âHave you thought about how this might affect things back in England? The press ...â
You sigh, having expected this question. âWe have. And honestly, weâve decided that it doesnât matter what they think. This is our life, our family. Weâre not going to let fear of judgment or outdated institutions dictate our choices anymore.â
Lewis nods in agreement. âWeâve already faced the worst they could throw at us. We came out stronger. Whatever comes next, we can handle it together.â
Edwardâs serious expression melts into a proud smile. âYouâre right, of course. Iâm sorry, old habits die hard I suppose. Iâm thrilled for you both, truly.â
As the conversation flows, touching on everything from potential names for Lily and Edwardâs baby to Lewisâ upcoming ambassador campaign, youâre struck by how perfectly imperfect this life is. Itâs messy and chaotic at times, full of unexpected challenges and joy in equal measure. But itâs real, and itâs yours.
The sun begins to set, painting the sky in brilliant shades of orange and pink. James and Emilia, tired from their day of play, curl up in their fathersâ laps. As you watch your brother gently stroke his sonâs hair, you remember a conversation from years ago.
âEddie,â you say softly, âdo you remember what you told me the day they ... the day they burned off your soulmate mark?â
Edward looks up, his eyes clouding with the memory. âI told you that if you ever found your soulmate, you should run. Run far away and donât look back.â
You nod, feeling Lewisâ arm tighten around you. âIâm so glad I took your advice. And Iâm even more glad that you eventually followed it too.â
Edward smiles, looking down at James and then over at Lily. âSo am I, Y/N. So am I.â
As the evening draws in, you all move inside. The kids are put to bed, their excited chatter about building sandcastles and racing cars fading into peaceful sleep. You, Lewis, Edward, and Lily settle in the living room, glasses of wine in hand (sparkling juice for Lily).
âA toast,â Lewis proposes, raising his glass. âTo family, to love, and to the courage to choose our own path.â
âTo freedom,â Edward adds, his eyes shining with emotion.
âTo second chances,â Lily chimes in, her hand resting on her belly.
You raise your own glass, feeling a swell of emotion. âTo us. All of us. And to the beautiful, chaotic, perfectly imperfect life weâve built together.â
As you clink glasses, you catch Lewisâ eye. In that moment, youâre transported back to that day at Silverstone, when you first ran into each other. The fear, the excitement, the life-changing decision you made in an instant.
You wouldnât change a thing.
As the night wears on and conversation flows freely, you realize that this â this warmth, this love, this freedom â this is what happily ever after really looks like. Itâs not a fairy tale ending, but a beginning. A beginning of a life filled with love, choice, and the joy of being truly yourself.
And as you curl up in bed that night, Lewisâ arms around you and the sound of the ocean in the distance, you know that youâre exactly where youâre meant to be.
Your familyâs story is still being written. And you canât wait to see what the next chapter brings.

Compliments to the Line Cook
Pairing:Â Line Cook!Azriel x Reader
Summary:Â Azriel never goes for any of the girls on staff. Cassian can't figure out whyâand it's pissing him off.
Word count:Â 1k
Warnings:Â None! Maybe some language but I tend to do that with modern AUs oops
a/n: Me đ€ eventually turning to AUs for every fandom. Anyways I think I'm setting this up for a cute little series thing with oneshots because I am inspired âš enjoy!!
Main Masterlist âĄ
~~
âCome on,â Cassian scoffed with an exasperated tilt of his head. âShe is totally into you.âÂ
Azriel threw his friend a look, wiping his hands on the apron tied at his waist. âI donât care.âÂ
âYou donât care? Whenâs the last time you got laid, man?âÂ
âLast night,â Azriel simply replied. He moved the prepped onions from the counter to the fridge. âNot that itâs any of your business.âÂ
âWhat? You didnât tell me that,â Cassian pouted, pausing his spatula on the grill.Â
Azriel huffed out a breathy laugh, taking up his post at the prep table once more. âDo I need to tell you every detail of my sex life, Cass? Would that help you get it up? I know you struggle.â
âHey,â Cassian called out, brows raised as Azriel met his gaze. âFuck you. Who was it, then?âÂ
âWell, it certainly wasnât the barely legal host you wonât stop trying to set me up with,â Azriel grumbled.
âDude, sheâs literally 26.âÂ
âShe doesn't look 26.âÂ
The order bell ringing punctuated the end of the pointless conversation between the two men. In truth, Cassian knew Azriel would never be interested in the new host who had been giving him eyes for the past week. Azriel was never interested in the hosts or the waitresses or even any of the customers. But he would never share why.Â
Cassian had grown sick of it.Â
He narrowed his eyes as he watched Azriel grab the ticket off the order wheel. He flicked the paper with a small hum, heading to the stove and lighting the burner.Â
âFess up,â Cassian urged, plating the burger for table 12 before tossing the towel on his shoulder into the sink. âYou act all mysterious but Iâm not an idiot. All the girls on staff basically throw themselves at you and you ignore them. They go on and on about your tattoos even though I have just as many. Gwyn even had her hand on your chest last week and you brushed her off with that awkward pat thing you do.âÂ
âThe mean waitress doesnât throw herself at me,â Azriel replied. He had yet to look up from the pan sizzling at his fingertips.Â
âOh shut up. Nesta doesnât count.âÂ
âWell, you said all soâŠâÂ
âI swear to god, Az, Iâm going to hit you right in that pretty face of yoursâwhat the hell are you making?â Cassian interrupted himself, whipping around from the send-out counter to inspect the odd combination of ingredients being thrown in the pan.Â
âAn order,â Azriel stated. âI feel like you should be working.âÂ
âI am working, asshole,â Cassian grumbled.
Azriel made a noncommittal sound and slid an omelette from the pan onto a plate. He grabbed a handful of spices from the cabinet above and continued to work on the meal. Cassianâs confusion only heightened.Â
âWe donât make omelettes past noon. Itâs dinner. Why the hell did you make an omelette?â Cassian asked, trailing after his friend as he pushed past the swinging kitchen door. âAnd where the hell are you going?âÂ
âWill your curiosity ever be satisfied?â Azriel droned. âIâm clearly walking this plate out to table eight. Go back into the kitchen. The Walters were just seated and you know they order enough to feed an army.âÂ
Cassian ignored him, staying uncharacteristically silent as he set the intention to spy on his coworker. He let his feet stick at the entrance to the dining room, giving him a clear view of table eight and the girl with the backpack and laptop taking up its residence.Â
Azriel placed a steady hand on the back of the booth, his chest pressed against the girlâs shoulder as he brought the plate around and edged her laptop aside. The omelette was placed down in front of her, but Cassian was quick to notice that she didnât even glance at it, her face turned up with a grin.Â
âHi, baby,â Azriel greeted, a smile evident in his voiceâa smile Cassian could hear from clear across the room. âTake a break. I made you dinner.âÂ
âFrom the secret menu?â she asked with a giggle.
Cassian watched, in complete shock, as Azriel leaned down to press a long, drawn-out kiss to her temple. âAlways.âÂ
Cassian had a lot to say to that mysterious bastard.

Phone call - Matt Sturniolo
summary: in the middle of you and your boyfriend matt's hookup, you receive a call. instead of declining it matt makes you pick up the phone, little did you know it would be a lot harder to string together sentences than you thought.
contains: smut, teasing, dumbification, overstimulation, fluff.
----------------------------------------------------------
â«- you're buried in the pillow yeah you're so loud-â«
i stay seated on matts lap as i mindlessly scroll through instagram, matt wraps his tattooed arms around my chest.
"i like your shirt." matt whispers into my hair, "thank you! its new, do you like the color- i thought you'd like the baby pink" i yap,
matt laughs lightly, "i love the color." he smiles,
i readjust myself on matts lap, "dont- dont do that." matt groans out, my eyebrows knit together,
"what?" i say, shifting again on his lap experimentally
matt grips both my hips, "i said don't." matt demands, "why!" i whine with a slight attitude.
matt stands up, picking me up by my ass and carrying me down the hallway. he presses my thigh against his crotch, a hard poke against my leg makes my eyes shoot open
my cheeks flush red,
"thats why." he mutters, swinging open the door and throwing me down onto the matress
i let out a small squeal as i hit the bed, matts already tugging down his sweatpants before i can process whats going on.
"matt-" i start, he cuts me off
"take off your shorts"
i nod, sinking my teeth into my bottom lip as i lift my hips off of matt's silk sheets, i shimmy my shorts down my legs.
matts erection springs out, tapping his stomach lightly before he overs over me. his hair flops on his forehead slightly as he grabs my white lace panties
he pulls them to the side roughly, exposing my leaking entrance.
"soaked already?" matt tuts, i feel myself grow red with embarrasment.
matt cups my face and holds my hand with his other hand before lining himself up with me.
"you ready?" matt asks softly, "take it slow- its been a while." i whisper, squeezing matts hand.
matt gives me the tip, the stretch makes me wince. "pretty girl." matt coos,
he doesn't waste time to push further into me, "slow down matt!" i moan lightly, his tip brushes my cervix.
i arch my back off the bed, squeezing matt's ringed hand tighter.
"you can take it, you're taking me so well." matt repeats, my loud whimpers fill the silent room,
groans fall from matts rosy lips, "matt--" i whine
ring
my head snaps round to see my phone resting on the mattress,
incoming call from nick
i reach a hand over to decline, but matt grabs my wrist
"pick up the phone and talk to him" matt demands
"what- what?" i repeat, my eyebrows twisting.
"pick, it up." matt repeats himself, i hesitate before grabbing the phone and swiping to anwser.
matt stops his thrusts, allowing me to talk to nick .
"nick- hi how are you!" i say with a couple short breaths
suddenly, matt starts to thrust again, he almost pulls out then slams back into me.
"hey girl! no i was wondering- uh.. wait what was it" nick drones out his sentence,
i clasp a hand over my mouth as matt repeatedly slams into me, forcing me to take his whole length at once.
"oh yeah- do you want to come to the movies on sunday with madi, you can bring matt if you want" nick speaks, his voice blaring out the speakers.
matts thrusts grow faster, never slowing their intensity though, "i'm- i'll be able- fuck-, i can pro-probably- matt!" i finish my sentence with a loud yelp
"hey! you okay?" nicks voice is laced with concern.
matt nods at me, taking a hand off my hip and brushing my clit with his finger as his thrusts grow sloppy.
"i'm- i'm fine." i manage to string together the sentence
matt smiles cockily down at me, enjoying every second of this.
"oh god-" i mutter under my breath.
"anyways... so can you come, what time works for you?" nick asks with confusion in his tone.
"i can- probably." i slur out as i feel my orgasm grow closer
"you can come or not? whats wrong with you are you drunk?" nick scoffs through the phone,
"nick- bad.. bad time" i whimper out,
suddenly my orgasm crashes over me, i grab a pillow and smother my face with it, handing matt the phone as i finish with a muffled scream of his name
matt hangs up the phone for me now that ive finished, he pulls out of me and finishes
white streaks paint my panties which have been tugged to the side the whole time,
those were my favourite pair, but i cant think hard enough to care right now.
"fuck-" matt breathes out, flopping down next to me on the mattress and pulling me onto him.
"are you okay sweetheart, was that too mean?" matt laughs slightly
"i- i dont know?" i squeeze out with a giggle.
"oh god, lets get you cleaned up gorgeous girl." matt smiles softly
--------
15 minutes later
i've been laying in bed in my soft pyjamas with matt for about 10 minutes now, us both becoming exhausted and ready for bed
abruptly my phone lights up,
"nick texted me.." i whisper to matt with a nervous grin,
i open messages and read out the message
"he said.. 'hey, just wondering what the fuck was going on are you okay? lmk if you can make sunday and tell me what was going on with you.'"
matt bursts out laughing, i slap him playfully, "matt! thats your fault what do i say!" i scoff
"just say you can make it for sunday, you don't need to answer the other question." matt rubs his eyes.
"i can't believe youu matt." i laugh, rolling over and cuddling close to his side
the warmth of matt's arms wrap around me, holding me tight and pressing a small kiss to my forehead.
"you're cute when you can't string a sentence together." matt whispers teasingly
"you're stupid" i giggle back.

Steve and Eddie meet through their local buy-nothing-sell-nothing group when Steveâs getting ready to move in with Robin and he realizes he can't keep everything he owns while trying to merge households with her.
The first time they meet, Steve hadn't even been meaning to actually meet the person picking up the free toaster oven heâs giving away.
Heâs setting his toaster oven outside his house on the porch when Eddie hops out of his van to pick it up and it would be rude to duck back inside without saying anything since he obviously sees him coming up, so they make small talk for a minute and Steve has to keep his eyeballs in check because they keep wanting to rake all the way down this guyâs body.
Heâs covered in tattoos and so extremely Steve's type, but he knows better than to hit on someone who lives in his neighborhood and is not here for that reason.
He laments to Robin about it the next day, about the hot guy whoâs probably using Steve's toaster oven as they speak, who heâll probably never see again.
Robin rolls her eyes fondly at him and tells him that maybe if he puts more stuff up for grabs on the facebook group, he might see him again, but Steve suspects she just wants him to get rid of more of his stuff so it doesn't overcrowd their new apartment.
The set of items he puts up in the group next is an old blender and a butcher block that has three of the knives missingâseriously where did those knives go? He has yet to find them.
He tries to pretend he isn't secretly hoping Eddie will comment under his post that he wants the items, but he isn't fooling himself when his heart literally skips a beat when the first comment is from Eddie. He messages him and tells him to stop by later that day.
When Eddie shows up, they talk for longer than last time, Eddie asking why Steve needs to get rid of so much stuff and Steve asking why Eddie needs all this stuffâespecially considering Steve snooped through the group and saw that Eddie joined over a year ago and hadn't once commented before now (he doesn't mention that thought, but he is thinking it real hard).
Eddie laughs and says he was in the market for a toaster oven when Steve posted one and wouldn't you know it? He also needs a blenderâthe knife set is just a bonus, he says.
Steve tries not to read too much into it, but his brain is spinning the interaction around in his head for the next week.
He puts up a space heater in the group and within minutes, Eddie has claimed it.
âI should just get your number and text you directly when I find something I want to get rid of next time,â Steve says flippantly when Eddie comes by to grab it that night. âInstead of clogging up the facebook group.â
Eddie smirks at him and steps a little closer. He says, âMaybe you should.â
His neighborâs car alarm decides to go off right at that moment, ruining the flirty atmosphere with its incessant shrill. They can barely hear each other over the drone of it, so Eddie leaves without giving Steve his number and Steve is left feeling like he keeps having these missed connection moments with Eddie.
In a fit of desperation to see Eddie again, Steve puts up a bunch of random stuff in the group the next dayâa shoe rack thatâs missing a piece, a step stool, a cheap side table he got from Ikeaâand Eddie is still the first person to comment like heâs been refreshing the page, just waiting for Steve to post.
âI left without giving you my number last time and I didn't want to be creepy and message you unprompted,â Eddie says as they load the side table into his van. âI think I was overthinking things and then got kind of spooked.â
âIt doesn't look like anything could spook you,â Steve says.
When they get the side table inside the back of the van, Eddie turns to him and admits, âA very pretty boy could.â
Steve can feel his face getting hot. âYou think Iâm pretty?â he asks.
Eddie nods. âWhy do you think I keep coming here? There's no way a person whoâs lived here for as long as I have would need all this stuff.â
âDid you need any of it?â Steve asks in a teasing voice. âOr were you just so blown away by how cute my profile picture is that you just had to meet me?â
âOh, I needed the toaster oven, but everything after that was just to see you again,â Eddie says before biting his lip.
Thereâs an entire swarm of butterflies in his stomach when Eddie's hand brushes his, when Steve takes Eddie's hand in his and leads him inside his box-filled house.
Later, when theyâre making out on Steve's couchâwhen Steve really should still be packing since he has to move in less than a weekâhe pulls back to ask, âWait, so are you gonna put the rest of the stuff you don't need back up for grabs in the group? I feel like that would start so much neighborhood gossip.â
Eddie grins wide and Steve wants to kiss him again, wants to feel his smile against his mouth.
âOh, weâll be the talk of the town, baby,â Eddie says, pulling him back in.

missing witch and fae!price hope they r doing good n fuckign nasty and intimate this halloween
Price is going to breed her on purpose. (tw for me calling price "John" lol, sorry everyone)
âJohn,â you gasp-moan, your fingers working over your clit, âGod, yes, John, please.â
Your pretty voice echoes through the room. Echoes in his head. You know exactly what youâre doing.Â
Youâre doing exactly what he said, youâre staying where he left you.
Your hips are in the air, your back is arched, your face is pressed in the pillow. The only difference is now youâre using the come that drips out of your hole, the come he left, to get off. And youâre making sure he knows it.Â
Price settles his chin against his palm, his fingers curling over his lips as he pushes his other hand hard against his erection. Christ the things you do to him. That heâs going to do to you. He could smell the heat on you, the need. It itched at his skin.
That damn tattoo he stuck on youâŠ
Whatever he agreed to for the magic to work it was coming back to bite him in the ass.
âJohn,â The whine in your voice, drawn out and hiccuped, youâre torturing him, âI need it, please.â
Youâre saying his name, knowing itâll tug at him, knowing heâll hear your pleas. Knowing he canât do anything about it.Â
The fall fae at the end of the table drones on about preventing a hunt this year. Something about human casualties and keeping a low profile. The big fucker radiates malice across from him, and growls when asked his opinion. A new trait he must have picked up, normally he'd dive straight into eating people.
Itâs truly boring to pretend any of them are civilized. That they aren't all yearning for a hunt, feeling the pull of the wild in their veins, the hunger... Price knows as well as anyone that theyâll do the same thing they do every year: pick a battlefield and hunt the soldiers that will never go home to their families. A familiar song and dance, an unnecessary step in their own pointless bureaucracy.
His chest burns, threads tugged hot between your fingers. Rolled against your already heated skin, gods he can feel the sweat that clings to them. Damn witch.
Price closes his eyes to focus on the feeling, on the way the magic slips and slides, pulls and releases. Almost wet. Christ youâre doing something to it, something you shouldnât. His shoulders twitch, unused muscles beating with your fingerâs tugging. He catalogues the feeling, the sound of your panting breath, each whimper growing softer as your voice fades, only to be brought back to the forefront when his name drips off your lips. Wet with your spit, probably drooling against the pillow, naughty thing.
It's a blessing that the so called "King" decides now is the time to lunge across the room at his fellow fall fae. Price jumps to his feet, vaguely registers Ghost's bored shuffle to his feet, and snaps his finger. His smoke is almost as excited as he is, jumping and shivering as it implodes around him and places him right back where he should have been all along. Behind you.
And your devious fingers, pulling tethers to rub the golden threads between your folds. Naughty indeed.
Price hooks his fingers in the threads that slip beside your fingers and pulls, leaning down to lick the slick that drips from them. If magic had a taste it would be this, heady with the soft musk that clings to your sweat.
"I told you," He tries to keep his voice even, "You have to wait."
"And I told you," Cheeky, you're always so cheeky, "to breed me."
Christ it's like he never left. Your slick drips onto the sheets, his come rubbed into your skin such that he can barely find a trace of it, your hips wiggle and your face is pressed into the pillow. The only difference now is the way you turn your head to pout at him. Pretty lips pursed and your eyes watery, God-
He nearly breaks his belt buckle with how hard he tugs at the thing. "Fine," He growls, "You want it so badly, I'll make sure it sticks this time."
Oh it's worth the red tape he'll have to wade through for leaving the meeting early for the absolute pleasure of pushing into your tight wet heat. You cunt wrapping around him like pure ecstasy as you mewl into the pillow. You're so fucking wet, loosened by your own fingers, and taking him to the base in one thrust. Fuck. You're so good for him, taking him without a complaint, letting him stuff your pretty little cunt full.
Your hand reaches back to claw at his hip, grabbing his ass to hold his hips in place as you grind back onto his cock.
"Tha's it," He breathes, "nice and deep sweet'eart."
You whine, your hips twitching when he grinds right back. He can feel the way you clench around him when he hits that aching spot in the back of your cunt, the flicker of muscle that tightens your stomach and pulls him in. Such a pretty thing.
Price slides his hand over your hip and around over your stomach to wedge itself between your legs and rub your clit. Warm, like you'd been rubbing it raw. Well, he can certainly help with that, rolling the tight bud between his finger as he gives a shallow thrust into your tight cunt. Rubbing it makes shivers run up your spine, pinching makes you jolt, Christ you whine so pretty for him when he pulls out, like you really can't bear to lose even a centimeter of his cock.
He thrusts into you hard, lets you clench, trying to suck him back in as he pulls out again, setting a steady rhythm for you. Lovely to feel your hand drop from his hip, to see the way your back arches and you curl your fingers in to the sheets. Your moans pushed from your chest with each punch of his cock, your shoulders drawing up as you try to meet his thrusts.
You'll be so pretty when you're fat with his baby. He'll have to come up with new positions, make sure you're comfortable, that he can still fuck you the way you need.
"Jo-ohn," You squeal, and he releases your clit to grip your hips, pushing them up when you try wiggle out of position. None of that now.
"What sweet'eart?" He patronizes, cooing at you like you're a child, "what can I do for you?" He knows damn well you won't answer him.
His hands knead at your ass, the soft fleshy globes pulled apart by his fingers so he can watch the way your cunt swallows his cock. He spits, lets it land on your ass and drip down, only to be caught in the piston of his cock and mixed with your slick. More of him mixing with you, but not the important part.
That comes when you tighten like a vice around his cock, all your muscles seizing as your breath locks tight in your chest. You shake apart on the next thrust, your voice streaming out of you in a scream of moans and pleas. Price grits his teeth and pulls your hips tight against his, blanketing your body as he leans over you.
There's something desperate, animal, about the way he fucks you then. No steady pace, no rhythm, just the needy in and out of a man that can't hold himself back. Chasing his own orgasm as it pulls in his chest and warms his body. Your little whimpers spur him on, make him sink his teeth into your shoulder, make his ears ring with the soft whispered encouragements you murmur.
"Come on baby," You whisper, your voice like rain against windowpanes, "come for me, give me what I want."
He always will. Especially when you ask so nicely.
And if he settles his hand low on your stomach afterwards, pumps a little piece of magic into the scarred swirls of the tree that had carved his name into your womb, then that's really just an assurance that you get exactly what you asked for.
