There are not near enough AUs in the Reguri fandom.

The last time I was active in a fandom was almost 10 years ago wiht 616!Stony (steve x tony but like the comics not the movies) and there were every AU imaginable and that was just for the comics side not even if you include the movies (which tbh i wasn't a fan of) I was so spoiled and didn't even know it, now here I am having read through the entirety of the English and Spanish ao3 collection of finished works, what am i supposed to do now???

The answer is...come up with more AUs.

I'm going to write this one once I get a few more fics out of the way, but here goes.

Formula 1 AU (note this is more pokespe than the games so you get the hyperactive red and the tsundere Green)

-Red and Green are childhood rivals/friends having raced in the gokart circut together before they both got drafted for formula 1

-at first they're on the same team but Red keeps winning and Green always places second, i mean it's still podium but Green wants that W

-red is seriously just happy getting to race with his bff/crush, green just wants to fucking win something on his own

-professor oak is like a famous engineer or something who used to race back in the day (think carroll shelby) and everyone compares Green to him constantly and he hates it

-and like Green can do his own repairs cause he’s skilled af

-its the end of the season and despite racing for the same team red and green are neck and neck for first only a few points away from each other

-red wins ofc, green is devastated, he contemplates retiring then a rival team scouts him and promises the best of the best, he just wants to winnnnn

-red is super sad because his favorite thing was racing with green not against him, and he's got this little (big) crush on green and now he has to constantly race against the man of his dreams

-also there are still pokemon, and battles and stuff, but like Green/Red just do cars now lol

-so the question becomes, does red win again the next season, do red and green pull their heads out of their asses and realize they're in love? Do i add this to my WIPs today or tomorrow?

-find out in like 7 months!

I have like a metric shit ton of f1 knowledge cause my ex-husband's family is involved in the business, i can't say more cause i'm not gonna out myself on here lol, but i feel like this would be fun to write

Metal fingers lie bundled in a dense sheet of unkempt yet silky curls.

Idly twitching, the hand drew the id’s head close; a relaxed trill descending from its violet lips.

Lids locked shut and nose anchored deep into its brother's hair, the id’s speaker produced a muted hum and the occasional low crackles as its legs spun around the meeker one’s body.

Arms roughed by firm muscle tucked themselves behind its back, the short id pushed close to what could be the corona of caring star.

Scrawny arms wrapped around a rocky waist; a half-crumpled t-shirt draped over a strong body.

Occasional brief pushing of noses plunged and nuzzled into the other’s head, another in the chest.

Warmth spread and cradled them within the confines of the thick comforter and mangled pillows, quiet breathing filtering through the silence.

The Moon claimed the obsidian sky, stars unblocked by Australian pollution permeating the long night.

It was okay.

They were okay.

And if they weren't, they were in the perfect place not to be okay.

I just wanted to write the brothers cuddling. That's all.

so for my human au, gigi has kleptomania right. she gets the urge to steal things sometimes and it just doesnt go away until shes taken the thing that caught her eye and lit the urge

once she finds out, flutter tries to help her manage it by holding gigi's hand whenever she gets the urge and trying to take her mind off of the item.

gigi holds a lot of shame around her stealing habits - yes, she will act proud about it when showing off a shiny trinket, but if caught in the act/questioned about it she will immediately feel all the guilt and shame that has been building up through her choosing to ignore those feelings

at first she tries to hide this habit from flutter, afraid that it would greatly change flutter's opinion of her and ruin their relationship, until one day theyre shopping together and gigi just needs to steal something, the urge is crawling inside of her and she just cant resist it anymore. she steals the item (havent decided what it should be yet oopsies), and once they leave flutter asks her about it and gigi just freezes. because flutter doesnt look particularly upset, just confused and a little curious, but between flutter's middle class upbringing and general societal attitudes towards thieves, she cant help but fear that this is it. this is the moment she ruins everything.

but she doesnt. gigi shrugs and explains that she couldnt help it, the item had just caught her eye and it felt like her skin was going to set on fire or maybe get up and leave her flesh bare entirely, and all throughout flutter nods and listens, asks questions when she needs to. she doesnt look disgusted, she doesnt step away, and as the pair walks down the pavement she holds onto gigi's hand and gigi feels heard for the first time in her life. because flutter doesnt shame her for it, doesnt question her morals, doesnt leave her. she simply nods, pulls out her 'help?' card, and points to gigi will a slight tilt of her head.

and on the drive back home, all gigi can do is cry.

hello yuwuta! i just read yuuta okkotsu's declassified jujutsu tech survival guide and i wanted to tell you that you are an incredible writer. you understand all of the characters so well and bring them to life in your aus so well. i am in awe of you. one of my favorite parts of the fic was that reader has a domain expansion, if you don't mind, expanding (heh) on that? what are the details of her technique other than healing and healing shikigami?

vibrating at intense frequencies trying to be normal about this ask bc omgeee. first of all, thank you for the sweet words, i’m so happy you enjoyed the fic 🫶 when i first started writing, i just knew i wanted reader to have rct as the kind of antithesis to all of yuuta’s cursed energy in a kinda opposites attract way, but the more i wrote the more i wanted them to be complements—so i wanted yuuta to learn rct and reader to be able to fight/take missions unlike shoko (queen) and in the end, if you couldn’t tell, i pulled inspiration from naruto… LOL 

as for domain expansion, it’s supposed to be like a twist/play on words of the phrase “sterile field” like you would have in an operating room/medical setting, but for reader it’s a literal field or meadow like situation, and instead of having various medical assistance staff and/or tools, she has her shikigami. idk if in jjk you can technically get new shikigami but in naruto you sort of can lololol. it’s supposed to be a place for (guaranteed) healing those who are severely injured with little to no interruption or infection which is kind of the opposite of a domain expansion, but then i realized it could also allow for a guaranteed critical hit, it would just be… malpractice LOL but hey if the double glove fits… so, while everything in the domain can/should be used for healing, it can also be used to harm (like i imagine the individual blades of grass can be turned into surgical blades in her hand, i think in the fic reader mentions being able to make the bees sting/cause anaphylaxis and not just use their honey for healing, things like that)

for everything reader knows how to heal/fix, she also knows about 10 ways or things that could break or kill someone, so even tho rct/medicine is mainly used defensively or for aiding others, i imagine it could be pretty damaging in the wrong (or right?) hands, and then reader was born ❤️

i also subconsciously assc yuuta w medicine for this reason... do no harm but only for those he cares about… otherwise harm will occur xoxo
