To everyone, what are your thoughts on the upcoming Transformers movie, Transformers One?
I am excited about it.
I'm looking forward to seeing it. I hope there's a drive-in showing it.
In Scotland?
Yorkshire might... pretty big county...
Yeah! I hope so. I want to see it in a movie theatre! On a real silver screen.
Doubtful. I believe that is an American thing.
Oh.
Well... it had better catch on by September!
Yeah! I want to see it when it comes out! I don't want to wait until it's available for streaming. Why didn't drive-ins become a thing during covid? It makes sense – everyone watching movies in their cars...
I think the purpose of staying at home was to avoid getting into difficulties...
And to keep roads as clear as possible for emergency vehicles. We were not permitted to drive far either and we are immune to Earth sicknesses.
Oh. Yes. I thought that was simply humans being paranoid or pedantic.
They probably were.
Oof... don't think they were.
Of course you both would think that.

Travel Blog - Drive In Movie Theater
Tumblr media
The drive in movie theater experience is an old American tradition that is gone in many areas of the country... but I've learned from my travels that in small towns they're still thriving. In small communities where it's just too hard to sustain a building to show movies, drive in theaters are a great way to show the latest films to the community.
Tumblr media
Also, the lots can serve multiple purposes during the week. They can be used for farmers markets and flea markets, local car washes, live band performances, and more. A huge parking lot and grass can have many uses.
Tumblr media
But for me, it was fun to see a drive in movie just once in my life. The movie is on a big screen, but you have to listen to the movie on a radio frequency. Keeping your car on the whole time is probably not smart. So listening on a portable radio is the best way to go. Throw in headphones attached to your radio, and you're suddenly listening to the latest Marvel movie in stereo!
Tumblr media
However while I watched the movie from my car, I was surprised to see how others watched the movie. Some sat on the back of pickup trucks. Some people just set up chairs near their vehicles while holding their radios close. Also, other people just watched from afar on the grass with their pets. Yes, drive in theaters are the only kind of theaters you can bring your pets to. Overall, I'd recommend everyone try to go to a drive in movie once in their life. It's fun to see how many people watched movies long ago, and how many people in small towns still watch them.

no one warns you of this but the more indie & international films you watch the worse american blockbusters look in comparison. be safe out there

Mr. Compress, walking into a movie theater, buying one ticket and going to his seat.
The lights go down and he takes out several marbles, decompressing them, the rest of the League of Villains all coming out and taking their seats.

Head empty, only thinking about Ultra Protective Big Brother Mario at all times and how ever since he was a literal baby who just learned to walk, his first, strongest instinct, as unthinking and instantaneous as a reflex, as breathing, has been to position himself in between Luigi and the slightest hint of danger with absolutely ZERO hesitation
(Their expressions are EXACTLY the same in the 1st and 3rd image!!!! Some things never change!!!! LOOK HOW HARD I CAN CRY!!!!!)

nothing intelligent or helpful to say about it really but we had SUCH a good time at One Hand Clapping. Everyone should go if they've got the chance.
