I support small fees for things that should probably be free because it keeps human refuse away. A park near where I live was once free to the public and you couldn't even drive by without seeing litter everywhere, whole park was covered in a haze of weed stick and vague booze smell, always some group of racially ambiguous 19 year olds hanging out in the parking lot scaring off the elderly. About a year ago they started charging $1 (ONE WHOLE DOLLAR) to enter and its like I moved to fucking marthas vineyard. ZERO litter, no more 24/7 skunk stank, I don't even bother locking my car half the time, you can actually see wildlife walking around in the park now, it's wonderful. I don't know what it is about literal pocket change that scares these cretins away but if that's all it takes then I'll happily spend a dollar for a few peaceful minutes at the park.

it's true that hermann's clothing aesthetic is mostly something along the lines of "dorky professor," but i think it's really more like 80% dorky professor, 20% military surplus. (that 20% is probably all ppdc gear, but the Aesthetic™ of the ppdc gear is milsurp).

like, hermann's a practical guy. he cares more about the function of his clothes than the appearance (see: glasses cord, oversized parka). he's also been working for the ppdc since he was in his mid-20s. you can't tell me he doesn't own, like, fleece quarter-zip tops in neutral colours and too-big "one size fits all" sweatpants with "P.P.D.C." stamped on the side.

How is Alamo Drafthouse not running an organized Barbieheimer double feature. Like as a business move. There's not one near me so it's irrelevant to my life one way or another but like. if ANYONE was gonna run an organized double feature in theaters, they're the folks.

the thing is i think steven moffat is. to be totally honest. an absolutely brilliant writer and the themes he explores are ones i personally find more compelling (the doctor as a fairytale figure & the show as overt fantasy, notably). but his gender politics makes me want to screeeeeeeam

Bottoms was good and funny. It's unserious and had some bloopers/outtakes at the end which I love about movies. The behind the scenes stuff. Is it weird of me to say I liked the violent parts? Something about bloody noses and lips just *chefs kiss* anyway there was like 7 people in the theatre and this older lesbian couple sat sorta close to me and i wont lie it made me soft and a little emotional. It was nice.
