New Year, New Pinned Post

Hello friends,

I haven't updated my pinned post since July so we're updating with all of the fun things I've posted since then along with some handy-dandy Masterposts/links!

This year, I'm trying to be a little gentler with myself. In light of that, I'm writing whatever I want to write, I'm not beating myself up for missing deadlines or not completing challenges, I am just going to thoroughly enjoy writing. I've a slew of prompts that are in my inbox, I'll continue working on those as the mood strikes (you're always welcome to send me more that I will get to when I'm able).

This blog is a place for love and happy endings.

Hello! I'm looking for a fic i haven't really read. I got it as a recommendation from the drarry subreddit and lost it.

The fic has harry working in a muggle coffeeshop. He hasn't lost his memory, he's consciously hiding away from the wizarding wolrld i believe. And Draco comes in one morning by coincidence, harry instantly reconginzes him and thinks he's up to no good but they end up bonding.

I would be ever so grateful if you guys could recognise this

draco doesn't know how to tie his shoelaces. he never learnt it. he did it by his wand all these years but when it was confiscated by the ministry he went around without his laces tied. harry watched him trip and stumble for a while before he went to him and shyly, draco said that he never learnt to tie his laces. he thought harry would laugh at him. but he didn't. instead, he knelt down and tied both his laces for him and it became a routine. each time harry would show him how to do it and each time draco would fail to learn it. or maybe he did learn it, but harry didn't have to know that.

Bite-Size Drarry - Under 10k (Part Two)

Pausing my RWRB reading (I have an ask about firstprince fics too and I’m working on it!) to answer this, which is the nudge I’ve needed. I’ve done this for Dramione before (under 5k), but I especially love tempting readers to Drarry. 

Short works are the unsung heroes of fandom. They don’t get enough love, which makes me so sad, because you definitely don’t always need 100k to deliver a stunning story. These are your bedtime stories, your palate cleansers, your individual serving sizes of serotonin. It’s okay to enjoy these even if you only read slow burn 100k+ fics, I promise. Live a little!

I have some Harry Potter art I did that I just realized I never actually posted

Anyways, these are from this summer on and in chronological order starting with this drawing of Sirius I used in an animation

This style is absolutely not my usual one, I was drawing on Adobe Animate which has way fewer brushes [...that I could find lol- I have since figured it out a bit more but it's fun to experiment] and you can very much see that I gave up trying to redraw his hands lol (i just color picked from my reference pic and colored right on top in a new layer bc animation is hard enough like that)

This was meant to be a quick sketch to try out some new brushes/new coloring style bc I actually decided to watch a CSP (clip studio paint) tutorial for once

Based off of the technique of using watercolor brushes, I did the four houses

The raven/crow/eagle/whatever bird that is is traced bc birds are really hard to draw and I just noticed that the brush is visible hovering over the lion but oh well

This one is really just because the cottage my family stayed at during vacation had a sauna lol

This was actually a pretty fast drawing because the background is a picture which makes it so much easier, especially given that I drew that in a moving car

Also his glasses are floating lol i'm so good at details like that [i have glasses i should know how to draw glasses]

A beautiful meditation of the kind of love that makes a friendship and a home.

There are a surprising number of fics featuring farms but with no mention of cows. Curiouser and curiouser! Where did they go? It's a moo-stery. Of course, the reasonable explanation is that the farms are simply not cow farms (we'll ignore this for the present, because after all, these fics still have the lovely spirit of cows, and that's really what matters). Simon’s fingers are featherlight on my chest, gingerly stroking my sweaty skin, tracing my pectorals, then gently brushing against the sensitive flesh of my thighs. I moan, low and feeble, wanting him to continue even though I should probably hit the shower. He keeps on touching me, and then I feel the tip of his tail skimming against my thigh, nudging my legs open. I make a noise at the back of my throat but comply, and then I feel it, Simon’s tail tentatively brushing against my hole for a fleeting moment.

“You look so gorgeous,” Simon whispers, and I finally find the strength to lift my head and look at him properly.

And here’s a drarry snippet from my @hpknotfest fic:

Darkness envelops him as he moves away from the solitary light hanging above the kitchen table, and he makes his way slowly towards the drawer. His fingers are shaking when he pries it open and finds a stash of colourful origami paper, unfolded, with messages scribbled inside in his own slanted handwriting.

This is Draco’s paper. These are his messages, the ones he’s spent ages folding into intricate origami every single time he left food for Harry or when he sent him a message to work, on the days Harry was feeling down. He finds the one he made after they went to the beach together for the first time—that one was shaped like a crab. His fingers close around the origami heart he spent ages folding and unfolding, wondering if Harry was going to realise Draco was in love with him after receiving it.
