What does ur art look like when ur not making horse doodles?
Haha, it's kind of wild that that's a genuine question now, but hell yeah that means I get to introduce more of my art to folks. :)

(tumblr will probably compress the hell out of this but whatev)
This is all stuff from about the last year and a half! I love switching up my techniques and trying new things and I'm basically always drawing 24/7 because I love art so much. The horsecomix look that way because I think they're a great avenue for me to let loose and be silly/unprofessional for a while with my drawings. :)

How to Tell a Story: It’s time to forget Aristotle
Let me guess, regardless of your background whether you’re a poet or playwright, an avid reader or brutal critic, you first began this writerly life indoctrinated into the lens of Aristotle’s Poetics. I say indoctrinated because we’re steeped in the stuff, here on the west. We’re marinated from birth in this worldview that stresses a triumvirate cycle, from our various religions in the Abrahamic…

Le Tartuffe Molière
""Couvrez ce sein, que je ne saurais voir. Par de pareils objets les âmes sont blessées, Et cela fait venir de coupables pensées." Le Tartuffe, III, 2 (v. 860-862)

Look! I'm still designing Transformers Versions of Danganronpa Characters!!!
Here's Tsumugi, also known as Dramaturge. When I initially came up with her I didn't think too hard about her, mostly just a cool design.
Then I talked to local bestie, and biggest Tsumugi Fan that I personally know, @aparticularbandit and suffice to say-

The uh, concept sketches got a little out of hand and I guess I'm a Tsumugi x Mukuro shipper now??? But only when they're giant robots???? This is new territory for me but I'm living for it tbh. I may or may not try to explore normal Tsumugi x Mukuro art, softer than the scary robot bodyhorror yuri though I promise.
Really thinking I want to try and make the Cybertron AU a decent writing project for myself during 2025. There's still other stuff I want to write as well, but most of them will be shorter (I think?). Look forward to it I guess????
oh and a bonus drawing because I haven't drawn nearly as much of them because of my new obsession.

like i do not think we have to reinvent the wheel when it comes to interesting and meaningful theatrical storytelling / i am someone who is wholeheartedly and directly invested in the development and production of new theatre (as this is quite literally part of what i do for a living) and yet i can count on both hands the number of new plays i've read and/or seen this year that i would consider groundbreaking in terms of content form aesthetics politics etc. and the plays and playwrights that purport their work to be oh-so-radical and "out there" and avante-garde rarely are doing anything i find remotely novel + the plays and playwrights that have stuck with me most this years are ones created by artists who i think are invested in (not to sound hokey but) what the art itself is doing and what reactions are drawn upon viewing it and what bigger conversations can occur when we engage with this particular piece of storytelling in this moment

Writing As Therapy, Sure, But Gaming as a “Self-Care” Ritual? Here’s Why
A Case for Games as Over-The-Counter Wellness Tools Just like a daily multivitamin or a cup of tea, games have become a form of self-care for many individuals. In a fast-paced world filled with stress and anxiety, taking a break and indulging in a game can have a profound impact on one’s mental and emotional well-being. Studies have shown that playing games can improve mood, reduce stress, and…
