Lol that is so rude of Han to do, but that is also him to a T. Not him calling out Boba for his daddy issues when his own parental issues are even worse 😭😭

tbqh I don't think their dynamic would be that different from canon. Boba doesn't have any personal beef with Anakin and Obi-Wan that would change how Han views him in this AU, beyond the mutual annoyance/respect they already have for each other. I have this headcanon that they probably worked together at least once on some job for Jabba pre-ANH, but I don't really see that happening in BDBB anymore because of Vader's whole thing with Han.

But I think if they were ever in a situation where Boba gets to, for whatever reason, talk about his vendetta against the Jedi, it would seriously piss off Han and make him defensive. Han's whole attitude toward the Jedi/the Force as an adult is pretty much, 'only me, myself, and I get to talk shit about them, fuck you.' So I imagine if Han ever heard Boba complain about Windu or whatever, Han's going to act like Windu's #1 stan out of spite.

10 (More) Favorite Female Characters

Thank you @ankahikoibaat. To go with the supporting women’s wrongs theme…

• Madame Yu (The Untamed): Where she falls on the morality scale is strongly contested but she certainly twists my brain into moral knots (in a good way). You can't say she doesn't care though, even about Wei Wuxian who’s threatened hand-dismemberment is her breaking point. She’s also such a badass and I love how she went out with such a bang (while her husband went out with a whimper). • A’Yark (Kenobi the Book): Honestly both the leading ladies of this book could tell the story all by themselves, Kenobi’s PoV especially is almost inconsequential despite being the titular character. Of the two I find A’Yark PoV and her struggles more captivating, despite the author’s idea that ‘the hard desert breeds hard people’ *sigh* she still shines. Haven’t finished the book yet so I can’t say more about her. • Jane Roland (Temeraire) – she a badass dragon-riding, sword-swinging Captain (later Admiral) who makes 1800s generals gasp like scandalized victorian-era ladies! Just the way she likes too. But she’s of high rank in the British military force in the 1800s and has the kind of ruthless outlook you’d expect for the position and times. (even if Europe found dragon world countries a might harder to conquer) • Wu Zetian (Iron Widow): started out swearing vengeance for her sister, succeeds beyond all expectations (especially her own) and has to survive (and survive with) the consequences of her own actions. Finished by stomping the patriarchy with a giant robot dragon mech (why is this women’s wrongs?). Now THIS is what I wanted of the 90’s grimdark antiheroes and several things I hadn't known I wanted! • Yzma (Emperor’s New Groove) Everyone loves Kronk but not enough people give Yzma the credit for being the perfect villain in this classic. She’s evil without being apologetic or glorifying in it. She breaks so many evil woman cliches without even trying I love it. She and Kronk are the perfect comedic duo. This movie just wouldn’t shine without her giving it some evil homebrew polish! • Harley Quinn (Batman): She’s just to interesting! Hyper-competent sidekick who’s got a thing with Joker and Poison Ivy. She chose to help Arkham inmates for selfish reasons. Chose evil out of love. She’s done her damnest to finish that redemption arc. She came closest to killing Batman in the animated series but holds no grudge against him (unlike most). There’s just so much depth of character to her! • Lena Dupree & Simone Lenoir (Scooby Doo on Zombie Island) – okay two in one but they’re fantastic villains! Sob story and earned their evilness. They’re legit threatening and also the only time I’ve seen women transform into a feline and its actually shown as monstrous and not sexy. Like I can see what the monsterfuckers see in them…but you gotta be a monsterfucker to want to. • Romsca (Redwall) This was my favorite series as a kid and I only had two problems with it back then: 1) no sword-wielding female warriors and 2) always chaotic evil people trope. Romsca is THE BEST aversion to both! Badass braggart pirate captain who went through a redemption arc. Sadly died instead of like stealing Martin’s sword and living to be the champion of the high seas but cest la vie. • Daenerys (A Song of Ice and Fire): I like that she’s in-universe a black horse in the Game of Thrones. No one expects her to be a threat until she knocks on their door with dragons. Most of all though I appreciate that she breaks the stereotype of ‘heir to the throne returns’ (even if the show could’ve done a much better job, y’know, SHOWING that). She’s a conqueror, not a savior

Parents please remember that your words have connotations and consequences for your child.

I will try to keep this short but it so fucking important. And this so hard to put into words because I have know that trying to bring this up to my parents (who I currently live with) would end up in nothing but an argument and it being brushed of. So I never bothered on how I would. ~~~

Do not tell your child: “Because I am the adult and you are the child…” Or “….That’s because you are the child and I am the parent.”

One time my mom was arguing with my brother about how he is addicted to his computer and he pointed to me and asked: “Well why is she on her phone?” (I was listening to music to try and wake myself up quicker for school) And you know what she said? She said this as if it was an unarguable fact to make him back off: “Because dragonciphering goes ballistic when I try to take it away.”

And that hurt. It was first thing in the morning. Do you understand? I get upset because I don’t think that a parent should be able to make something of mine go away just as a way to keep me in line. My phone to them is a gift from that has a receipt that can be used at anytime. And when I turned to my mom with tears in my eyes and asked why she said that all she said was: “It’s true, I mean, you’re getting upset at the mere idea of it.”

Then I said something like: “And why is it okay for you to talk to me this way? Your child? Because I know that if I talked to you this way you would get pissed and tell me not to talk to you like this.”

Her response? “Yes because I am the parent and you are the child so that wouldn’t be okay.”

Do not tell your child: “Just because you think that…” or “Just because that’s what you think…” Because that is telling your child that their thoughts on this matter or what they believe in and are taking action on is completely irrelevant and wrong. Do you know how many times I tried to bring up to my dad that yelling at his children about an issue they are having doesn’t help and then to have him say this? It’s soul crushing. Because it makes you realize that this person doesn’t care for your thoughts on this matter and you wait till he’s done yelling and talking at you about all that you’ve apparently done wrong and then wait till night time to cry yourself to sleep. When I realized that this wasn’t normal I started to try and distance myself from my dad. His response to noticing? “Hey why are you acting all weird? You’ve been brushing me off. Did I do something that you think was annoying or something?”

I understand that this is not my normal posting. And I apologize to my mutuals and followers who may see this rant…but this is very important and I decided to bring it up.

Abuse comes in different ways and it’s important to make that known. And to you my fellow victims of ageism I say to you:

Don’t give up. You matter. I’m so sorry that this has also happened to you. There are people who love you and understand your pain.

Does the Carbonite thing happen again? Can you answer that without spoilers?

The short answer is no.

The longer, slightly spoilerish answer is that the fic is going to diverge from ANH, so while the plot beats in ESB will happen later down the line, it's not going to be one-to-one. Han and Vader will definitely be interacting though 😉

Favorite color: Royal purple

Last song: “Snow, Lots of Snow” – instrumental music from the video game ‘A Short Hike’, the first I’ve played in over a decade and I went feral over it. This tune is by far my favorite: haunting, a little melancholy, a little wistful and a nice soft, song. I’ve been listening to it o and off a fair chunk of this summer. And playing Arctico too. Can’t imagine why

Currently reading: @charmwasjess mentioning vampires reminded me to finish ‘The Black Vampyre’, a short-story/novella written in the early 1800’s. Interesting Vampire lore, cutting wit (near literally sometimes), lots of really old timey references and a blend of the typical Dracula story with the harsh realities of slavery.

Currently watching: The Clone Wars 2008 series. Still. I’m a little ways into the 3rd season and it is very slow-going due mostly to people’s more interesting fanfics dragging my attention away but I WILL finish this series. Eventually.

Currently craving: Hawaiian pizza from my local pizza joint/middle eastern market. It’s the holy trinity of good, cheap and fast pizza and I ate it two days in a row (it’s also nearly as good reheated as it is out of the box) and I still want some more!

Coffee or Tea: Ugh, Coffee – hate the taste, hate the smell, hate all those little granules…but outdated movie references aside my tastebuds can’t stand too much bitter. Even heavily doctored coffee with loads of sugar, chocolate and cream is just too much bitter, so tea is the winner. Helped me through covid last year and my favorite is a good chai sweetened with maple syrup.

Any hobby you’d really like to try: I’d like to give traditional archery hunting a shot. I consumed all the hunting and fishing magazines as a kid and gazed longingly at the recurve bows but no convenient family or family-friend around to teach me. But its never too late.

Any discipline You’ll follow in the Olympics: Not much of an Olympics nerd but I’ll follow the archers for pro-tips.

Any AU you’re plotting for: I’ve got a winged!Force Sensitives AU in the works. I love wingfic just because but this is also for the Most Dangerous Game flavor and falconry vibes. It’s gonna be a Jaster/Feemor pairing because for all my love of the Jedi, its Jaster Mereel who’s one of my very favorite characters!
