Your Skills in this system are

Might

Dexterity

Awareness

Logic

Presence

And last but not least

Luck

Might determines your Endurance.

Dexterity and Awareness determines your Reflexes.

Logic and Presence Determines your Willpower.

These are your saving throws, it looks familiar if you've played Pathfinder 2e.

Luck is a Bit Special. Luck determines your luck pool.

From Chapter 6:

Yeah. This baby has rules if you decide to go it alone, or if you decide to find some Jolly Co-operation.

Your 6 Scores govern other things than your Saving Throws.

Might

Your Health and your Hit Die Size

Going from 2-3 Might D6 Hit Die, 4-5 Might D8 Hit Die, to 6-7 Might D10 Hit Die.

Your Character's Melee Skill and your Brawl Skill covering Traditional Melee Weapons, while Brawl Covers Punching, Kicking, Grappling, and Shoving.

Your Character's Bulk/Item Slots, Which sits at 8 Slots + Your Character's Might Score.

Dexterity

Your Character's Movement Speed.

Your Movement Speed starts at 25ft with a 2-3 dexterity, increasing to 30 at 4&5, and capping 35 at 6&7.

Finesse.

Attacking with Weapons that have the Finesse property.

Pickpocketing. Which lets you steal weight 1 items off close targets, but if they're aware you will be hindred.

Lockpicking. As long as you have the right tool, you have a shot of cracking that lock. However if you fail the Game Runner may see fit to move up the progress clock or possibly alert the guards.

Sneaking.

Classic Skulking about and Avoiding Enemy Detection.

Awareness

Detect.

Locating, You can wave moving in favor of using your eyes to check the area for concealed enemies.

Vigilance, Feel Eyes over your shoulder? If enemies are attempting to get the jump on you, you'll need to roll Detect to see if you can whoop their ass on Turn 1.

Mysticism. The Casting Skill of Druids and Luminaries. Is the skill about understanding the Super Natural.

Survival. Need to Track someone or something? Need an Intrinsic Knowledge of Vegetable Animal and Mineral? Then you need training in this skill if you want to be the model of a Modern Major General.

Ranged Attacks.

Instead of Traditional Approaches, Your Eyes and Ears are what guide your Bows, Throwing Knives, And Classical Firearms.

Logic.

Arcana.

This is the Skill to Use and Apply Magic. This is the Spell Skill of Wizards and Magi.

Medicine

This is Your Character's Knowledge on Non-Magical Healing. If you want to be able to treat wounds, you need to be trained in this skill.

Crafting.

Crafting is a bit Wisely Worded so I'll let the mechanics speak for itself.

Presence.

Influence.

This is your Sorcerer's Spell Skill. This skill is about Persuasion, Deception, Negotiation, and Corrosion. Including the ability to Parley, a skill check that could end a Hostile Encounter.

Leadership

This is the Spell Skill of the Revelators, the Paladins of Vagabond. Need to Motivate, Need to Rally, Need to Command Hirelings or Troops? Leadership is your skill.

Performance

Can you sing, can you dance, can you play a funny flute, a bassoon, a Bass? This is your skill. This skill can also be used in different and interesting ways.

And that covers skills.

If Tumblr Will Let Me. Let's talk about Armor and how your ass will be covered.

This System doesn't have Armor Class. Instead it takes a Dragonbane Approach of "Yeah your ass is getting hit, but your armor will tank some of the incoming damage."

In Vagabond Shields are a Type of Low Damage Weapon that can Feature the BLOCK property, which lets you roll Favor with your Block Saves.

A Block Save is a Parry Made with a weapon in your hand in order to Negate Damage.

Alternatively You can Dodge. If there's an attack coming your way, Roll that Reflex save I mentioned and you can get out of harm's way.

Armor of Nedeenziah Sadras

Ziah likes to display armor showcasing the different periods of her life since she entered Skyrim. She has five mannequins in the armory in Lakeview Manor, one for each period.

Hero Of The Empire: Ziah initially joined the Stormcloaks, trusting in the spirit of rebellion and following her prince Boethiah. When she realized the Stormcloaks were founded on nothing but elf-hatred and warmongering, she defected, reluctantly serving as a soldier for the Empire. She distinguished herself in battle, taking Stormcloak strongholds from some of their most entrenched locations. She also climbed to High Hrothgar and learned about her destiny as the Dragonborn. She forged herself this set of plate armor in Solitude, and wore a red and gold imperial cloak.

The Blackstar: Ziah’s fate was tested when she found Skyrim’s cult of Boethiah, and had to give a sacrifice to the daedric prince. She brought Sven, the worst person she could think of who would willingly follow her, and became the Champion of Boethiah. Her faith in her prince shaken, she turned to the Dunmer community of Little Vivec for advice. As she spent time in the small island town on Lake Ilinalta, she was approached by a representative of the Morag Tong. Through an unlikely series of events, she found the immortal Dunmer hero the Nerevarine, who helped her betray the Morag Tong and guided her towards Azura. Finding new faith, she forged a set of ebony armor to go with her mail and dubbed herself The Blackstar, dedicating her life to Azura. She also married Isobel, an Imperial smith in Falkreath, and built a home at Lakeview Manor.

The Wolfblood: Ziah decided that she needed to train to fulfill her destiny as Dragonborn. She joined the Companions and quickly discovered the secret that the group held. She became a werewolf herself, believing that it would increase her power and prepare her to fight Alduin. However, she became caught up in the beast frenzy, sometimes becoming trapped in beast form for several hours. She found a way to cure the companions of their lycanthropy, but abandoned them when she realized the true extent of Ysgramor’s crimes against elves, leaving the cure behind. She stayed around Whiterun and Riverwood, helping the locals and making friends, trying to gain a connection to her humanity. One of these friends was an Argonian woman named Anum-La, and they quickly became traveling companions. Ziah and Anum-La tried to stage a coup against the Empire using an unknown bastard Septim and a legendary sword that Isobel reforged, but it failed, luckily without the Empire’s knowledge of any of their involvement. She finally took Windhelm from Ulfric and won the war against the Stormcloaks. She wore her Blackstar armor during this time, but forged a lupine armor from wolf pelts to represent the influence Hircine had over her during this period of her life.

The next mannequin stands empty, as Ziah still wears the armor that will eventually stand there. She forged armor from the bones of dragons themselves, preparing to take on Alduin with her companion Anum-La. She wields Dragonbane in her left hand and Isobel’s Sword of Betrothal in her right. She entered Sovngarde and slew Alduin, then returned to her home in Lakeside Manor. The next day, she walked down the hill to Little Vivec and rested by the lake. It had been so long since she had seen Morrowind.

There is one mannequin left in Ziah’s armory. One more adventure to be had. Who knows where she’ll go next?

How to Upgrade Weapons in Vampyr

Guns and melee weapons are an excellent combat choice in Vampyr, especially when enemies are resistant to blood-based attacks. However, these weapons won’t deal enough damage for long and will require upgrading in order to remain relevant and powerful. The process of upgrading weapons in Vampyr is straight forward, though a few essential materials are required.

How to Upgrade Weapons

Each weapon in Vampyr can be upgraded at least once, with a few of the rarer items allowing for multiple upgrades. To begin the upgrade process, head to the nearest hideout as can be identified by a hammer and feather on the map. When in the hideout, approach and interact with the workbench.

The workbench allows Dr. Reid to create serums and treatments, break down junk into components, and most importantly, upgrade and improve weapons. From the workbench, highlight the weapon that requires upgrading and press the appropriate button for “upgrade”.

This next screen shows the weapon on the left along with a description, while on the right are the various levels and the selectable effects for each level. To upgrade the weapon, the correct ingredients must be available. If the player does not have sufficient resources, they will need to go and purchase the items from a merchant, find the items via looting, or break down junk into ingredients.

Place the cursor over the available level (one without a padlock) and hold the appropriate button to upgrade the weapon. A weapon like Dragonbane requires 3 common handle parts and 2 lead plates to upgrade it to level 2. Once the weapon has been upgraded, a choice can be made over what effect to apply to the weapon. Using the Dragonbane example again, level 2 offers the choice of increased damage or blood absorption on hit. Picking one will not permanently lock players out of the other, simply acquire the necessary materials and switch to the alternative effect.

With the upgraded weapons in hand, Dr. Reid should have no trouble taking out some of the more challenging Skals in the game, even those a few levels above his own. Despite this, it’s always worth leveling up abilities, as it’s good idea to have a mixture of attack types when facing some of the late-game bosses.
